I did a Potter's wheel which was very new to me. It took a lot of time and patience to get your hands on it, adjust to it and be able to create something... Though what I wanted was not the end product... It ended up being a waste but I learnt a lot from it. I would need more practice and hope to get a basic level good in it... Since, it's my first and second trials only, I think it was okay and I shouldn't be expecting it to be perfect. It will take time to learn this new skill...
I like the feeling of the clay and the texture makes it better while creating stuff and thinking about it...

My first exhibition titled 'The hindu wedding tales.' Together, I have tried to show the rituals of a Hindu wedding through warli art while experimenting with mud, rice, wood, leaves, clay, flour, screen printing, sketching and 3D modelling.
It shows a forbidden love marriage between the sun and the moon. On the day of the eclipse, they are uniting but the world doesn't want them to be together (as per Hindu beliefs, going outside during the eclipse is a bad omen due to the heavy pulling forces and bad energies in the air). On the day, 2 lovers are celebrating their infinite love, the world is against it (cracks in the mediums used, mud, rice, flour and clay).
The concept of warli art was traditionally done to show celebrations of nature and life. While I have incorporated a story in my work, my intention was to purely show emotions and not harm any belief.

I learnt screen printing and mixed it with warli art. The process of learning was awesome and I could experiment a lot with it. The following are a few results of the same.

'Intertwined fate'
Although, there are different meanings of crossed fingers, this live sculpture represents the connected path of people who we meet in our everyday life. I have painted black and white, inspired by ying-yang, which conveys a similar meaning too. This gives a new view to look at things from both the sides, and that they are connected. There is not much difference as the two exist together. It was a new process for me, experimenting with new materials and learning live sculpting with necessary precautions taken.

I have tried to draw few hand gestures. As I drew all these, I felt the need to express the emptiness we feel when we have someone really important gone from our side and we try to hold on as we miss them. Each one of us goes through such feeling of abandonment and emotion of emptiness atleast once, which we pointlessly try to hold on to. We have to learn to let go and move on from such things.

I experimented with few objects while photographing which made me explore another new form of photography of objects and aesthetically please the viewer. The contrast of black and white monochrome simplifies the picture and emotionally connects the viewer while detaching the image from the colorful real world. It shows that there are the gray days in our life where one would not know the difference between good and bad. As time passes, we learn the difference and clear the confusion and conflicts within us. It is ok to be indefinite at times.

I tried to draw the different scenarios on my sketch book of a sensual kiss, with a simple one line art to a closer sketch. It helped me put my emotions creatively and made me happy after I saw the result. It conveys the racing intimacy and the calm warmth of a 'kiss.'

Referring to various artists' sketchbooks online, I was able to do self-learning and create these sketches. The sketches all together convey that during our hard times, we can share our pain with someone to lighten the burden and be able to find solution with a clear and calm mind. In this universe, we all grow together and are here to help each other.
