as predicted, i WILL need an extra day of work to finish crocheting this, but she is SO big and SO gorgeous i am really proud of myself. she's 49 inches big right now (measuring from the center to one of the peaks). im measuring in inches because thats what the pattern does. so for anyone else wondering what the FUCK 49 inches are in cm: approx 124.50cm. thats how big she is right now. yay!!! cant wait to keep crocheting tomorrow. HOPEFULLY i won't need to extend it another extra day, but i wouldn't be surprised if i did have to.

I’m getting really curious on the whole seemingly complex situation that is Mitzi’s romantic relationships.

Cause like, we got Zib, we got Atlas, AND we got Wick!

As far as I’m understanding Zib and Mitzi was like a situationship?? Or maybe just an unofficial relationship from teens to early twenties?? Like they have history together!

But then Atlas comes in and Mitzi kinda leaves Zib for him? Like did she just lose feelings for Zib all together and now only sees him as a friend in the current timeline?

WHATS THE LOVE STORY THERE??

Was there a messy breakup type ordeal??

Then theres Wick! Who I’m unsure if Mitzi does or doesn’t have genuine feelings for!

Cause like, her husbands been dead for a year? And now she’s smooching around with Wick? I can’t tell if this is simply a tactic Mitzi’s using to keep Wick wrapped around her finger or not.

Not that she’s doing it out of malicious intent! It’s clear she feels guilty when she had to use Wick. All things will go into deeper shit if she doesn’t have Wick around! So maybe she’s playing his heart to keep him around because she is extremely dependent on him money wise?? Or does she have actual feelings too??

Girlie has three (or more) men smitten by her! But does she feel the same way in return? I’m pretty confident she did at least have real genuine feelings for Zib in the past! But did she actually love Atlas or was it a marriage of convenience? Or Wick! Is it only a tactic to keep him around as long as possible or has she also had some feelings for him that she’s now partially showing cause her husbands been dead for a year!

Her love life looks so complex! I feel like she needs a drink with how many men seem to be into her at the same time!

It is indeed messy and complicated, but I can't think of many romantic relationships that don't have some chaos woven in. Even taking account of meaningful, non-romantic relationships in my own lifetime with friends or family, "It's complicated" is an apt descriptor. She and Zib had a past, yes. There were definitely feelings involved, but the structure of the relationship was uncommitted and wishy-washy. Then some things happened that caught Zib by surprise. For indicators as to how Mitzi felt about Atlas, well, take into consideration that she still speaks to his portrait. You can maybe find some clues about the nature of their relationship in things that Zib and Mordecai say in Volume 2 of the comic. As for Wick, I hope it's clear there's at least some mutual attraction there. Mitzi's got her priorities, though, and Wick is actively trying to sort out exactly what his feelings are and where he draws a line in the course of the comic. Really, details are meant to unfold gradually in the story to paint a fuller picture of the past. Things you surmise about it and conclusions you draw (even if they don't ultimately line up with canon) are likely to be far more interesting than whatever dry explanations I could provide here, though.

Hi pile 1! You need to try that classical, timeless, style, i know it can be annoying to look at all the beige and muted tones but its so much more than that like, picture this, a tailored blazer or high-waisted trousers that fit like a dream. tbh I am also getting pearls for some reason so maybe adding neckklaces as accessories can be something you are interested in to incorporate in your style next year. Start with a simple white shirt, a fitted black dress, or a pair of cut jeans. Then you can accesorise with delicate gold bracelet, a black bag, or a string of pearls again with the pearls they are calling for you right nowww.

Moreover, another style you can incorporate is just as sharp, and elegant so like the whole academia aesthetic, regardless of light or dark that doesn’t matter but what I am trying to say is, clothes with shape. Like cinched wastes and just clothes that create shape for you are like something you really should give thought to. It’s about being comfortable but also looking effortlesss while doing it all, I think basics like camis, just plain shirts/tshirts are something you need more of in your closet because theres so many ways to style them other than just for formal wear. Like one style inspo is literally Proncess Diana cannot get more elgant than her istg, enjoy muah <33

Y’all this is my pile you guys are my PEOPLE ok to begin with you need to stop being afraid of colour and looseness like not everything has to be tight and fitted especially just because the microtrend world says so. Experiment with “loud” colours and different textures, things you may have thought are “odd” and don’t look good, because trust me the way it can all be pulled together is crazy and so much fun!! Layer, the most important part, stack rings and bracelets and go for those colours that lowkey hurt your eyes because fashion is about colour and pattern and texture and taking all of it out of fashion just makes it dull imo.

Start with a bright coloured tshirt, maybe something like yellow, then layer on, very “indie kid” aesthetic like the high saturation stuff. Mixed with that I am also getting maximalism to the MAX layer layer layer, stack stack stack you should look like a walking apparell store (kidding) seriously though if you have been feeling like you want to experiment with something like this and oxidised jewellery and mixing different styles mainly because all of your wardrobe is mismatched (me) then go for it because I promise it will come out looking way better than you may have imagined. 

Pile 3: 

Ooo I love this, okay so very romanticised, very coquette but not really, this is also the pile which will look so good in pastels in lighter colours. All I am getting in my head are those pictures of people on picnics in their flowy outfits and dresses looking so pretty and at peace, bows and dellicate bangles, just a very dainty aesthetic im thinking light fabrics and romantic fashion like lace-trimmed dresses, pastel skirts and floral prints, very fairytaile-ish. Ruffles or embroidery too and just magical overall. Also the complete opposite of pile 2 here, minimalist aesthetic may suit you a lot so try it out next year!

I am talking about keeping it simple, not too much with the accessorising and maybe a staple or statement accessory piece that goes with everything and anything you wear. Also for some of you with this simplistic style, you may have to be pushed to try on something more glam too like a bold red lip when it comes to makeup, like be bolder with your makeup experiment with more purples, pinks and reds while keeping the outfits simpler.

mii making has been a lifelong passion of mine and after getting interested in @making-you-in-spore's posts and the system of "making you" blogs broadly it felt only fitting to throw my hat in the ring. as nintendo's support of miis has dwindled over time, the niche of mii making blogs has also dwindled, and somebody has to pick up the slack! maybe things will change with the new tomodachi life game and the switch 2 over the horizon, who knows! regardless, i will always shoot for the miis. my allegiance is unwavering.

let me make one thing very clear: i will not be using the "makeup" mechanic of the miitopia switch port. no shade to anyone who uses it, ive had a lot of fun with it too! i just have more fun with the limitations of the wii u/3ds mii maker. ever since the miitopia switch port came out it feels like miis made with the makeup have gotten a lot more attention, and somebody has to rep the classic miis! also, while i do have the full capability to port screenshots from my various mii making devices to my phone/computer, idk if ill feel like it. its up to chance if ill have the nerve itll probably be phone pictures of my 3ds screen most of the time

yes! ive been mii making for so long that it comes pretty naturally to me (mii hehe) so i think i should be able to make them pretty fast. also for the most part ive already made miis of my favorite characters, so theres a good chance if you ask ill already have made something youre looking for! go obscure! go wild! i might even import it into some mii related game if i feel like it! no promises though! thats hard work!

generally i make whatever asks interest me the most first but i will try to prioritize earlier asks to later ones! i promise i will get to your request eventually! i am only one woman and i have many mouths to feed like a mother bird feeding baby birds miis from her mouth. be patient and you will have your wishes fufilled

Ruggie cant really communicate with his grandma that much, cause they're not in a position to have phones but he does send letters now and then.

Each letter has there, 'how are you?'s to their 'are you taking care of yourself?'s. Now his letters to his grandma had this mysterious person, and how 'he's feels his heart flutter whenever they're near.' there also might be some 'I'm worried that I'm not good enough' he was very happy to get this letter back

Jack tried everything to stay away from you all day. You're smell was just too intoxicating for him. Jack didn't want to risk spending time with you and his instinct...

Azul tried to just charm you with his charisma alone, no shady actions, no "read the fine print." it seem like he was on his best behavior all day. it made you feel uncomfortable for a hot while.. but after a few hours you gotten use to it.

It was all in Azul's plan. instead of flatly telling you or tricking you to form a contact with him. he was gonna show you that you could rely on him, to trust him. so when you do sign a contact with him, you're guard will be so low, you wouldn't ever dare look at the fine print

before valentines day, Jade asked you to go out with him on a hilling trip. you'll find great mushrooms and if you find any 'shiny treasure' you could keep it as payment. you felt bored at the time and went with it. it was pretty fun. Jade taught you about wildlife and camping and you just enjoyed being out and about, anywhere than Grim's messes was a fresh air.

But on one of the day's out, Jade fell and hurt himself! it'll take a while for you guys to head back so you both decided to just wait until it heals, or when jade is "strong enough" to head back.

When he finally gets alone time with you he just wants to play or just stare at you... its a mix really. sometimes he'll tell you he wants to show you a trick he learned from the basketball club. sometimes he just wants to walk around with you on his shoulders. but one things for sure, everyone is staying far away from both of you...

He'll make you not only your favorite foods but his own too. As a "get to know me" dish. Watching you enjoy his hard work, was like breathing fresh air. he loves your presence.

Without warning, on a weekend, Vil grabs you and tells you get to dress. he's taking you out. You couldn't really say no to him so off you went.

He took you to store to store to store. Each store had either something he liked or something he didn't. did you have a say in anything? no.

It felt weird a bit but overtime that feeling went away and you were left with giving Vil a mini show fashion show... with just you and him...

With a lot of pushing from ortho, he finally gave you your gift. it was a blue teddy that looked like hades. You didn't have to know about the hidden camera and mic in it. you could just thank him by sleeping with it~

He's had his eyes on you since you came to the school, you were so strange but you are never boring. something always happened with you around but you all ways find a way out of it. you're, well..... perfect.

After a while of this, you've noticed that Silver's holds on you, when ever you go and move him to a safer place, is more forceful than normal? You just told yourself that it was just sleepy silver but it doesn't seem like silver noticed and you didn't mind.

Whenever Silver was awake, you noticed that he's always just a call away. he wasn't over your shoulder or anything but you did see him more often than you usual did... were you thinking too much on this..?

Sebek is loud. that is not an understatement. bet Sebek probably knows that too. he often uses it to tell other to "respected Malleus." but today he was oddly quiet? you tried to ask him if everything was okay, he said he's fine. Without you realizing, Sebek was actually fighting an inner demon of his. Humans, like yourself, were so small and weak. yes, Silver is human too but he's a trained human, you weren't.

He just cant keep his hands off you! the best part, he doesn't have plans on even telling you it was him.

like he'll have you in his office and when you tell him you needed to go. he'll "get sad" and say "awww.. i guess ill just power through all this paper work"

you thought he just wanted you to do the paper work (that you could do) so you did. you didn't figure out that maybe he just wanted you by his side so no one could see/ give you anything for valentines day.

Crewel is a very classic man. so when he asked you to help him with some of his designs, you were quite confused. why not ask Vil or anyone from pomefiore? nonetheless, you helped as best as you can. giving your input on designs, telling him what you thought looked nice, getting materials for him, etc.

After you helped him make a set, he asked you to model them for him. he "wanted it on an actual person than a motionless mannequin."

You didnt know that he was doing this so you wouldnt be laying down with dogs with fleas today. Crewel thinks all the boys in this school are just crazy the fact its valentines day. so having you help him was just killing 2 bird with one stone.

Trein

Trein's cat, Lucius, seemed fine to you. but you couldn't say much when Trein asked you to help him look after his beloved pet. plus a cat that doesn't call you Hedgeman felt nice. a cat that was just a normal cat, that can understand you and talk but you don't understand it...

On Valentines Day, Trein tells you about his wife and what they do together on this day. It was really sweet to hear an old man talk about his love, plus his life too.

It felt nice and you enjoyed the time you spend together. you still couldnt tell if Lucius was actually sick or if he was just winning about food...

You had no idea what came over Vargas. But when it was gym time and there was any partner exercises, it seems like he'll give the poor guys, that asked you to be partners, more hard exercises.

it could be in your head but after you're done, you see the poor student crying for squats or something? Will he be okay?

"oh, don't worry about him. he's been slacking off recently so its just catching up with him. HAHA!"

Sam is quite busy on Valentines day. a lot of students ask for valentines day cards, bears, to flowers. some even get the custom order. with those custom orders, he realized a lot of them were for you... he might not be able to do anything.. but his friends might help.

when same gives the students the valentines day gifts, he has a shadow follow them and when they're not looking. the shadow destroys the gift and runs away.

it kills two bird with one stone. they cant give the perfect gifts and Sam still gets the money. oohh he loves what he does~

I added medic-sergeant Coric and changed up Sergeant Fox (I transed her gender and gave her a braid + box dye situation). In my brain this drawing is set in a pretty standard fix-it timeline, where everyone who showed up in S2 and beyond lives and doesn't go through TOO many horrible terrible things.

This took me weeks. I spent almost the entire day colouring it in. I'm so glad it's over.

ARCANE ACTOR AU (Mel, Jayce, Viktor ver. Ft. Melora & Jayvik)

These 3 only met during the filming but they got along SUPER well (besties fr)

• There are a lot of selfies on Mel's phone she would take after they shot their scenes, esp after their makeups would change (they do this with the other actors too, there's just pictures of them the most)

• ^ Sky is also part of this but since she wasn't a major character her actor didn't spend as much time on set

• Mel and Elora's actresses are married!!

• Elora's actress is actually the head makeup artist (an actual goddess in it fr) - bc Mel (the character) has such a sophisticated look, they kept them as close as possible in case one of the gold pieces in Mel's hair came loose, the gold bits on her face flaked off, etc - this led to her being cast as Elora

• (Elora bit) She did her own makeup for the Black Rose scene!!

• Jayvik's actors begin dating between s1 and s2. It's the reason why some scenes (like the one where Jayce stops Viktor's attempt) seem to have some chemistry (bc there was)

• Viktor slapping Jayce's hand away after "I'm from the Undercity." was actually super real and LOUD that they cut immediately after the first take (like- it hurt lol) - Jayce collapsed dramatically and Viktor apologized profusely (one of the earlier filmed scenes)

• Viktor and Jayce's reactions to Mel finding them trying to break into Heimerdinger's office were improvised - theyre all surprised Mel didn't break character and laugh bc for a second it looked like she wanted to (the main cameras were on Vik/Jayce so they didn't have to reshoot)

• They however had to retake the scene where they discuss Hextech weapons SO many times bc Viktor's >:0 face/reaction made Mel or Jayce burst out laughing WAYY too much (Viktor would also forget his lines a lot here lol)

• The smex scene and Viktor waking up in the hospital were filmed back to back so theres a bloopers pic w Viktor spooning Mel spooning Jayce

• Jayce's actor can sing/play guitar so somewhere in pretty much all the actors' phones (Vik, Mel, Sky, Jinx, Vi, Ekko, Cait, etc) there's a video of Jayce singing Heimerdinger's song for that one s2 ep Same cadence and everything lol

• Also them

• The marionette that fights Jayce and Mel in s2 was a stunt double in costume. In a bloopers reel Viktor tries to do some of the moves in his green suit (and fails horribly bc of his leg 😭) so a lot of the sounds are Jayce and Mel laughing in the background

• The final head touch b/w Jayvik was NOT scripted so it came as a surprise to a lot of the actors - Mel was one of the loudest screaming/crying in happiness when she saw it in the premiere of s2

• Whoever was in charge of casting did SCARILY well in casting their younger versions - there are a LOT of selfie pics w/ the adult actors and their kid actor counterparts

• ^ There's a selfie pic of Vik, baby Vik and baby Jayce - it's Jayce's actor's homescreen wallpaper

• (And this is bc I hate the most recent stuff this subfandom is coming up with) A lot of the Mel defender accounts/replies on social media are Jayce and Viktor's actors bc they HATE those kinds of ppl trashing her

(oh hey, we didnt have a long rant in a while, this wasnt supposed to be so long, as per usual with me ... i looked up some refs of the botw sonau ruins since i wanted to see how to combine its design to my sonau design in my totk rewrite- and this happened ... in case this sounds too angry or aggressive, its not meant like that, im not imploding about it, its just frustrating and annoying to me)

i have a problem with pretty much every inch of totk, and theres lots of big problems, and lots of things i find absolutely bafflingly stupid decisions-

one bafflingly weird and stupid decision to me, though there are way more important ones, is the nigh complete seperation from botw sonau (zonai) design aesthetic and totk sonau design aesthetic- its so .. weird and utterly unecessary it will never stop bothering me, its one that has relatively little impact in development but huge impact on the believability of the world

you have these ancient ruins of long gone people (that imo should have stayed a mystery, since that sense of lost history you cannot grasp makes both the world more believable and real feeling and will never let you stop thinking about, if you care about that kind of stuff at least- but i talked about that in length before im sure), but whats left leaves you still with a pretty clear design aesthetic, at least in the buildings that remain (the armor less so bc it really doesnt look like anythign ancient and just doesnt really fit together)

and then you make a game around them- but ... completely redesign their aesthetic .... in a rather big contrast too, for literally NO reason, there is not a single reason to do that, not even the excuse of trying to seperate the two games in their core aesthetic (like in the case of the shiekah- though that too is stupid bc ITS A DIRECT SEQUEL- IF YOU DONT WANT TO MAKE MORE OF THAT DESIGN THEME or leave it in for that matter THATS CORE TO THE PREVIOUS GAME DONT MAKE IT A DIRECT SEQUEL YOU DUM-) can do any work here, the botw sonau ruins werent many, it was background stuff, it wasnt a main theme and it didnt carry any importance in the game itself

like, botw sonau architecture was dark stone with red highlights (a color that usually fades rather quickly, imagine how strong it had to be once, maybe it was even more colorful at some point), bird, boar and dragon carvings, torches in bird shape, alot of swirls and round patterns among the blockier rough shapes, its was pretty detailed with patterns and pictures all over it --

totk sonau? blendingly white stone, all blocky shapes like unfinished blender models, not a swirl to be found, green hologram lights (or cold white light, i dont think there are any totk sonau torches, just those weird candle things- most light sources are lamps in impeccable shape all giving off that cold white light) and gold blocky script, theres rarely alot of detail on them, the pattern most often present beign a scale pattern ... one which i dont remember appearing anywhere on the botw sonau ruins in that way/that often, the only animal motif is a dragon head every now and then and it honestly feels tacked on, like they scrambled to try and connect the two in any way shape or form, white gold and green, theres nothing red anywhere, they neither connect to the botw sonau architecture nor to the one armor set- or its description, totk sonau have nothing to do with the phirone (faron) region (aside from that one quest that could have been placed anywhere), they are weirdly modern and techy, theres nothing "barbaric", not even their clothes are in any way connected (im so sick of all that gold tbh) even their magic isnt really .. magical, it all feels like science fiction type tech stuff (even though they said they wanted it to feel magical, couldnt be further from that tbh) the design of their magic symbols dont line up with their own building aesthetic or anyone elses even, its so messy

if you do the quest to get the fith sage its even more apparent- its the direct contrast between botw and totk sonau, its like a cut into a mod, theres no overlap, you cant argue that its bc the botw ruins where exposed to the elements and thats why the color differs- the totk sonau ruins left to rot both in the underground and in the literal sky are all just as if not more exposed, yet they all remain in rather good shape, all keeping the white and often completely colorless look, most damage being just some clumps of mold (?) or something having fallen over, and if they were protected so their color didnt change? wheres the red? the colors all should be in pristine shape then but its not bc there is no color

their excuse of "uuuh the hylians build those things in honor of the sonau!!" they tried to give doesnt work, like all other excuses, if they did why the hell does it look so different? sonau stuff was all over the place, you have the blueprints right there, WHY even build it? in those regions nonetheless that were of pretty little importance as far as we know, if this were the case they should be on the forgotten plateau or around hyrule castle but they are not- ALSO if the hylians built them for them .. so after they died out .. why then is there some weird mechanism with their actual aesthetic there in the ones in phirone? if they built it while they were still there ... why make it look so different?? ADDITIONALLY hyrules style of architecture is closer to the totk sonau one than the botw sonau so you cant even say it was influenced by their own style bc botws sonau is more different than both of them

it also adds to the .. feeling of something being off about the entire game (like it felt to me even shortly after starting to play), while i dont want to touch on the stupidness of how they handled totk shrines since thats another long rant i already did before, the sudden appearance of totk sonau style stuff literally everywhere (and the disappearance of anything not plot relevant shiekah bc it just went poof according to interviews and neither that nonsensical excuse nor anything in the game making sense- bc in the end they just wanted it gone and didnt care) would seem LESS weird if it was in the style of botw sonau, you know that style, its been here the whole time and more of it appearing would seem much less jarring, even if it doing so in completely non sensical ways- it would at least lessen that weirdness

i do not get why you would do that, did your designers have nothing to do so you made them make an entirely new aesthetic? did you not want your holy perfectly goodest god king to be anything but the most clean and kingly looking so you didnt even go for the barbaric idea from botw?(which i am not a fan of either) bc of course someone supposed to fill the role of perfect example of how to be good king of holy hyrule to zelda couldnt look "primitive"? was that given to the ancient hylians instead? with their designs going, to me, rather close to a mix of native american and ancient greek aesthetic (uh oh)- to contrast them to your superior alien that brought the idiots on earth technology since we didnt have enough tired tropes in here already? thought that design theme was more sellable? simply didnt care? (tbh, most likely in my eyes given the carelesness of the game to connect in any way to botw, much less in a meaningful one)

Growing up, She, Topper, Sarah, and Rafe were like royalty on Figure 8, but the pressure of being at the top of the kook hierarchy left her feeling trapped. While sarah and yn broke free, embracing life with the Pogues, Rafe stayed behind, burdened by his fathers expectations. As she found freedom outside the kook world, Rafe spiraled, torn between the life he hated and his need to hold on to her- the one person who truly understood him.

chapter overview;

A quiet night at the country club has Y/N reflecting on the change in their hangouts, now more relaxed than the wild parties of the past. When she sees Rafe talking to Sofia, it stirs something in her, leaving her unsure if it’s jealousy or just a mix of emotions. After some light teasing and a casual walk home with Rafe, the night ends with lingering thoughts and a sense that there’s more beneath the surface.

The smaller Kook gatherings had become routine now, a far cry from the wild parties of summer. You leaned back in your chair, the ocean’s sound blending with quiet conversation. The night was barely a party, but that’s what you liked. You preferred any hangout where the goal was just to have fun, not impress anyone.

earlier that day:

Word got around there was a party at yours the last time you'd tried to host something with just your friends. One too many uninvited people showed up thinking it was a party, so your group had resorted to the country club.

You liked it. Brooks' parents owned the place, which meant a pretty much guarantee we'd be able to use the place; even after hours, and you didn't have to worry about non-members showing up uninvited. Though you really liked the hangouts with just the core four.

You all ordered the usual round of drinks, sprawled out across the private room attached to the bar. This had been your usual place; with a porch and a area excluded from all the other country club members, it was perfect for outings.

Across the deck, Rafe sat at the bar counter, talking to one of the bartenders. He made the girl across the counter laugh with his jokes, as he smoothly carried the conversation. He wasn’t wearing the smirk everyone seemed to associate with him, and you found yourself smiling. You were happy for him, you hadn't seen him this relaxed since... god knows when.

It made your mind drift to the wild parties you, Rafe, Topper, and Sarah would throw at Tannyhill or your house when all of our parents were out of town —when it was about letting go, relaxing, having fun. all of it.

The first one you hosted wasn't planned on a whim, oh no. You four had been planning the party for weeks, and the whole school knew about it; no supervision, no rules, and no cops.

It wasn't like the previous kook parties you'd been to, where whoever hosting was doing it for the need to be seen. Rafe and Topper didn’t need to prove anything; they already had power, status, and control. It was about reminding, and that made all the difference.

They wanted to be seen by you, validated by the attention you gave, and the countless instagram posts posted the day after reflected that.

You, Sarah, Topper, and Rafe would appear in these posts as if you were best friends with them, like they hoped these pictures would make their “friendship” last longer than the party. The four of you thought it was hilarious, how these people were begging to be seen by you just the night before.

Over time, the four of you stopped hosting, letting others take over. This gave you an escape. You could show up, have fun, and leave when it was too much.

“Ew, why is he talking to Sofia?” Ruthie’s voice snapping you back to reality as she dropped into the seat beside you, holding a white claw in one hand.

“Who’s sofia?” You asked, trying to sound casual.

“The Pogue that’s working the counter,” Ruthie said, snorting. “Seriously, it’s weird.”

You glanced back at Rafe, who was still lost in his conversation. “How is that weird?” You asked, cocking an eyebrow. “He’s just having a conversation.”

“just having a conversation?” Ruthie repeated, chuckling. “That’s not really his thing.” She laughed like it was the funniest thing in the world. “You know Rafe. He’s probably just trying to hook up with her or convincing her to make a drink for him.”

You didn’t laugh. You wanted to tell Ruthie she was wrong, that Rafe wasn’t the guy they all made him out to be, but you knew it wasn’t worth it. Rafe had let everyone believe he was that guy for so long that no one questioned it anymore.

Instead, you just said, “Maybe he’s just being nice.”

Ruthie gave you a look, one that said you’d gone too far into sentimental territory for her liking. “Yeah, sure,” she said, taking a sip of her white claw. “Or maybe he’s just horny.”

Some time had passed, and you were getting ready to leave as you get a notification from sarah. You looked up at her, sitting across the room from you. She opened her eyes wide, telling you to check her phone; though you weren’t sure why she didn’t just come up and talk to you.

She just didn’t wanna let the others know. It was just the four of you again, and you felt comforted knowing sarah set aside time for just that.

You waited around for a bit, but quickly started to get worried as the time passed. The last of the group decided to leave, as one of them asked if you would come with. You declined, pulling out your phone to text rafe.

You found Rafe leaning against the railing by the beach, his eyes fixed on the horizon. You joined him without a word, the night air cool as the sound of the ocean mixed with the quiet of the world around you. The conversation flowed easily, a mix of teasing and light jokes, but your mind kept drifting back to the function earlier.

You’d seen him talking to Sofia, laughing like it was the most natural thing in the world. Part of you couldn’t decide if you were jealous or just didn’t want to ruin it for him. He was allowed to have his fun, right? You weren’t sure if it was your own insecurities or something else that made you feel a little unsettled, but you didn’t say anything about it.

Eventually, you both started walking back to Tannyhill, but when you reached the turnoff for your house, you hesitated.

“Think I’m gonna head home,” you said, pointing toward your street.

Rafe gave a small nod. “Yeah, me too.”

It felt like the right decision, no need to push things further. You reached your front door, pausing only to exchange a casual “later” before heading inside, your thoughts still lingering on the night.

jason grace headcanons

ive been known to enjoy some more feral leaning jason grace but this is more of an authoritative take on his personality if you will. feel free to add to or dispute anything i have here!! this is all kind of a jumbled mess of first-come-first-serve deal in my head and i have yet to go through and weed any out

he has problems with authority. not outwardly; in fact, to everyone else, he’s the picture perfect kid who follows all of the rules. but that’s because he’s terrified of what would happen if he stepped out of line. he grew up with lupa, who was incredibly harsh to ensure survival in her pups. and then when he got to the legion, all of the officers were required to uphold the law. jason saw what happened to people who stepped the line, and the results were never pretty. (in son of neptune they mentione tying someone in a bag with weasels and throwing them in the little tiber for fuck’s sake) he grew scared to even TOE the line. 

because of the previous hc, he’s scared of kids. he knows how rambunctious they get, and he knows that if it came down to it, he would have to punish them and follow through on it by necessity. its what all his predecessors did after all. but he doesn't want to harm them. hes always had that soft spot for the new and/or younger kids. so he’s not scared of kids themselves, he’s scared of being the one to give them consequences to their potential actions. he leaves that to someone else with more guts

the previous two leave him with a lot of cognitive dissonance that he never really gets over. he’s an incredibly empathetic person and no matter how much he tries he can never really stop that feeling of regret when he has to punish someone who clearly regrets their actions. but give them an inch and they'll take a mile. he has major problems with dissociation where he removes his sense of self from the scenario and lets his logical processing take over without any emotion. reyna has had to pull him back from it a few too many times.

between the dissociation, magical amnesia, adhd, and constant brain damage, that boy has one of the worst memories youve ever seen

he really likes steak. specifically rare steak. (wolf!jason truther…)

he can see electrical currents! and can. see? wind currents. its more of a knowing the wind currents are there without thinking about them rather than a visual thing though. its how despite his poor eyesight he was an excellent fighter before he got the glasses

jason has really sharp canines! so does thalia! they get it from their mom, who filed her own canines down for a softer appearance and would have done the same to her kids once they were old enough for that type of dental work. 

jason is left handed, but because of military-style training early on it was forcibly trained out of him either because nobody realized he was left-handed or because they looked down on left-handedness for the sake of unanimity in the formations on the field. he just thinks hes naturally ambidextrous

gay. mlm. boy kisser for certain that man does NOT like girls. he treated reyna and piper the exact same despite one of them being his girlfriend (and treated reyna in a way where she thought he might have liked her back) because he treats them both in accordance to his emotions toward them: ie, he likes both platonically, which is why theres no difference. he just cant tell.

he fucking LOVES mint. says brushing his teeth and chugging a cold glass of water makes his mouth feel like being up in the air and 15 thousand feet with the wind in face.

he’s half asian! beryl grace is asian (i usually go with either thai or vietnamese) and usually i just went with wasian but then the show came out and now i go with blasian. or maybe beryl grace is wasian? whatever the case, i always pictured him and thalia as having some sort of asian descent.

hes really good at archery. dont tell anyone its just him controlling the winds though

hes such a dog person oh my god

his eyes light up like circuits/lightning when he uses his powers. specifically his lightning powers. 

jason doesnt have dyslexia but he does have dyscalculia. like, really bad dyscalculia. but he still greatly prefers reading in latin!

jason hated reading for the longest time because they didnt have any books purely for enjoyment on base. in new rome itself they had bookstores with plenty of books. (they were mostly classics because they didnt have too much contact with the rest of the world, but they were more than just military reports or old historic scrolls you needed express permission to even breath on) but when he discovers newer books he finds himself really liking them! though his favourite genre is definitely classics, and when someone breaks the news to him that he couldve had these books the entire time hes devastated

when he was younger he was better at latin than english because most kids who arrive at camp jupiter know english already and theyre well equipped at teaching people latin, but not english. they had to send him to a school off base/in new rome for younger kids to learn some more rudimentary skills

it was under juno’s orders that he lived on base. she wanted him to be as prepared as possible for his future, which meant starting his training bright and early. otherwise he probably would have spent some time in camp jupiter as a normal kid until he could at least, oh i dunno, read and write. tie his shoes. eat with cutlery. take a bath by himself.

if jason had been there long enough without the swap ever happening, when he stepped down from praetor (not for another longggg few years) he would have done law in new rome. 

if post swap jason grace had the opportunity to do law in new rome, he would have pushed for rules regarding kids safety. of course, if another jason case were to happen nobody would have been able to deny a god(dess) but jason was never a normal case, was he?

can you tell i like lawyer!jason

less of a headcanon more of commentary on his character but as strong of a character as he was, camp half blood taught him how to have a back bone. in rome he was incredibly disciplined and had no trouble ordering other people around, but it was always in accordance with new rome’s laws. camp half blood taught him how to abide by his own moral principles rather than ones that someone else gave to him. (after all, new rome was about unity while chb was about individuality.) 

he honestly really likes his work as pontifex maximus. it fulfills his inner desire to be doing the ‘right’ thing by rome’s standards (especially because the title is highly revered) while giving him the room to express his creative desires, which is something that he had never been able to do. its also not at the cost of someone else, which usually ended up happening when he was upholding the law as praetor

this one works in contrast or in tandem with my previous bullet on his sexuality (specifically the comment on how he treated piper and reyna): he knew that reyna had a crush on him. he didnt know why he couldnt feel the same. queer culture wasnt really a thing in the modern world for the time it took place, and i dont imagine new rome was any more progressive. he didnt understand lots of things about his sexuality at the time. he didnt know that not liking girls might have been an option, and that he didnt have to like reyna back. so he tried his best to convince himself into having feelings for her, which led to reyna thinking they were reciprocated. once he met piper, that confusion happened all over again and even without his memories he found himself repeating the process

his favourite is blue like the sky, and ironically his and thalia’s eyes

thalias eyes are slightly darker than jason’s. more grey as well. jason’s are the brightest fucking blue youve ever seen. think the clearest, sunniest day youve ever seen, and it still doesnt hold a candle to his eyes. thalias are more like the sky before a storm.

jason can feel (along with see as given by previous bullet) electrical currents. he could feel someone switching a light switch from half a mile away if he thought about it

hes constantly brimming with static electricity and WILL shock everything he touches. a handshake? you get shocked. he tries to open a car door? literal sparks. as a kid he had to wear electricity resistant gloves because he didnt have a hold on it and it became dangerous because when his emotions are heightened, so are his powers. if he gets angry or excited or sad the air around him smells like ozone, and sometimes you can even see the sparks

cows really like him. straight up adore him. theyre his favourite animal!

he smells like ink, ozone, and something metallic. some people say blood, but hazel says its something like copper or nickel

so i was analyzing armin's highschool room again lately since he has many references to real game series etc. and couldn't help but notice the big collection of mangas right over his computers.

it was obvious to me they must be real life mangas since the cover sides are pretty detailed and everything else in his room is a real life reference too.

so me and my friend did some research and found all of them!

starting from the top left, which is probably the biggest collection.

the quality of all the mangas is like really bad, but im like 100% it's bleach since the colors of text are very visible and this collection has something orange between the red text and the graphic at the bottom. i was struggling to find any other manga with orange color in this specific placement. the red text and the bottom graphic also seem to match.

2. the collection right underneath.

at first i thought the mangas with the black cover and the white cover were two different ones, but when i looked up naruto manga i figured it matches really well with the black ones, but the couple first volumes of naruto have white covers so they must be the same. it'd be pretty weird if armin started reading naruto from volume 20 something. also the side cover's layout looks the same on both. the only thing that made me unsure is that the text under the title looks blue on the white one and it should be black but since it's low quality i'm gonna assume the colors might be a little bit off. you can also see naruto's yellow hair on the bottom graphic so fsdhufd

3. collection next to naruto.

this is negima. i'm gonna be honest i've never heard of this series before. but the colors seem mostly right and the graphic being on the top of the cover rather than on the bottom. i generally think negima's cover is very characteristic and if someone was a fan they would recognize it right away.

4. collection next to negima.

this one's quality is like. particularly bad. you can't even see much of the middle text that's supposed to be the title. but if you look closely you can sort of tell its red? and that would make sense, because this manga is xxxholic! xxxholic has a title in a font that i can imagine almost disappearing on a low quality image. the side graphic is also mostly black and white and on the top, which would be fitting too. only the colors at the very top are slightly off but other than that i think it's a fairly good guess.

5. the top one on the right.

so this one is kinda impossible to be sure of because you can only tell it's a black text on the bottom of a white cover and theres a graphic over it. i wasn't planning on trying to find it initially but when looking for other mangas i saw one that's kinda similar and that would be blue exorcist. i can't be 100% sure but the bottom has the same colors and layout so i think it could really be it.

also i realize it's hard to compare them with the small ass images of the mangas i pasted in this post so i recommend finding the room image and zooming into the mangas on your own.

anyway that's all, i think those guesses are most likely right so yeah if you're curious what mangas armin reads it's naruto, bleach, xxxholic, negima and blue exorcist!!!
