I see so many people playing Pentiment for the first time and feeling they have done a bad job trying to find this murderer, and it really shows how well they wrote and made the game that you feel that way. Reminds me of pathologic 2’s you did all you could.

came to the sudden realization today that the reason it feels so weird to me how Daniil seems to “forget” Artemy’s name in p2. the tone always feels off enough that it really sometimes feels like hes doing it on purpose but not necessarily intentionally maliciously. i think hes trying to make a joke.

no seriously i think hes doing it as Funny Ribbing Between Colleagues or something but it is just NOT coming across well. its the autistic Flat Monotone and Misreading Social Cues And Dynamics. i think he thinks he and Artemy are joking around but Artemy doesnt have the time or energy to genuinely confront him over it and eventually make Daniil realize its Not Funny

i was listening to a podcast this morning and they were talking about extinct animals and for one thing it made me go why doesnt the doctor save extinct animals. dont talk to me about tHe LaWs Of tImE you cant tell me the end of the dodo is that much of a fixed point that you cant jump back a century or two and catch some dodos in a net (theyre really easy to catch thats why they were so easy to hunt to extinction theyre not afraid of being predated) and give them to a zoo now for preservation. anyway so thats one.

for two they told me about the greak auk which looked like "if a puffin was a threat" personally i think it mostly just looks like an auk that is big but i can concede that that maybe is just exactly the thing that would make a puffin threatening. anyway they talked about how it went extinct and i havent factchecked this because the story is too good and also it's doctor who so my facts dont need to be watertight for it to be a good episode.

so how this bird went extinct, after like regular human stuff that humans do like hunt it for its down to make pillows, there were three men on some island or something in britain and they caught a great auk and they kept it. just like. for fun or profit reasons unknown but they kept it for three days and then a storm came. and so these men did what anyone would do im sure and conclude this WASNT actually a bird it was a WITCH and it had BROUGHT THE STORM UPON THEM. so they beat it to death with sticks.

and thats how the last great auk died, "caught by men, murdered for witchcraft"

i think this would make a GREAT doctor who episode. we're going to save the last great auk

this scene perfectly demonstrates the difference between Dr. Wily and Dr. Eggman, and I love it. Wily is a madman and a villain to be sure, but he has standards. For all his crimes and villainous deeds, the one thing Dr. Wily has never stolen is a life. All he wants is recognition, even if he has to force the world to recognize his genius. He's willing to do nearly anything to achieve that goal, but there are limits.

Eggman has no such limits. Eggman will steamroll the world, dance on the rubble, and build a theme park over it. It doesn't matter who he has to kill, extort, torture, or maim to get his way. He's honestly pretty terrifying for a villain from a children's property like Sonic, and I love him for it. He is utterly ruthless and merciless in his goals, and further, he enjoys causing that pain. It owns so hard

Well gamers, it took me 30 ENTIRE HOURS,,,,,,but Artemy is finally complete <3 I can *actually* start building up the groundwork for the fic I want to write now!!!!

I can't go super into it, Clara is going to be a big part of it and I want to play her route as well first. But the entire fic is from Artemy's perspective, so I think I actually do have enough to work with to start making notes of plot points!!!!!
