You remember when you used to like Supes when you were younger. It was your dream to help Superheroes be super. Then, in your adult years, you l got a job at Vought's Crisis Management.

That's when you began to know better.

No, Supes weren't heroes in your eyes. They're people with way too much power. The only reason they look good is because people like you hide their flaws.

As Vought crumbles you're left bitter. How could you not when your job has only gotten more hectic as Vought's "heroes" mess up. But you try not to complain...

You really just need the money.

You've tried your hardest to not to associate with The Seven often. You've always been on to just keep your head down. Unfortunately... you still managed to attract attention.

From one of the most feared "heroes" in Vought, too.

Black Noir... even you didn't know much about him. He wears a mask all the time, he rarely speaks, and he always seems attached to you. You know what he's capable of... which is why it scares you to know he seems interested.

It becomes increasingly hard to do your job once Black Noir grows an attachment towards you. You've been constantly raising your head to see Black Noir standing there to visit you. He never says anything... he just seems like he wants to watch you.

You try so hard to ignore him... but you will admit... the hero scares you a bit.

Despite the violence he's capable of, he seems so gentle with you. You've even caught him reaching out to touch your cheek. You don't bother complaining... Vought would ignore the issue.

While you yourself are bitter towards Vought and its "heroes", Black Noir is infatuated. The Supe can't stop looking at you. He sees you as something close to comfort... perfection.

The Supe feels he's hopelessly in love with you yet make no real indication of showing it. He wants to hold you and feel your warmth. He could stare at your face forever.

... he wishes you'd look at him the same way.

Instead he notices the glint of fear you have towards him. You try so hard to focus on work... all while Noir tries to pull you closer. He wants that fear to be gone...

He wants you to adore him...

But your adoration towards heroes is long dead by now.

Tension between you and the Supe continues to rise as you try to ignore him. You hope the loses interest. You have no idea what he wants... but his gaze is suffocating.

It isn't until the Supe pulls you away during your break that you get some sort of idea.

You feel your heart rate increase drastically as Black Noir confronts you on your lunch break. You try to communicate with him and ask him what he wants. You're alone... just how you prefer it... but it leaves you vulnerable.

Noir merely passes you a paper, encouraging you to open it. So, you do open it...

Your heart drops.

In big bold letters on the paper... there's the words 'I LOVE YOU.' You pause, looking over the paper as you feel yourself shake. You barely even notice Noir sit beside you.

Not until he wraps an arm around your waist... he's actually oddly hesitant about it.

You slowly turn to look at the black mask staring at you again. Your hands are shaking as you lightly put down the paper. Oh... this really isn't what you needed.

"Y-You... You-" You're trying so hard to say something. However, Black Noir merely cups your cheek. Why is he so gentle?

He's a murderer.

"You... can't mean... me...." You whisper, but Noir merely nods while pointing to you. Black Noir has been following you... because he loves you.

Your worst fear has come true.

"I see..." You whisper, trying to stand up. Black Noir stops you from getting up, his grip pulling you back into his side. You're stuck... unable to leave his gaze staring into your eyes.

His tone is a whisper in your ear, a soft yet unexpected question. You're shaking against him as you stare in his eyes. He seems to be trying to comfort you... ignoring the twisted confession he had shoved upon you.

The Supe's grip tightens.

“Is it so hard to love me?” Black Noir whispers again, sounding desperate as he holds you against him. You merely shake in his arms as he strokes your head like you're a frightened animal. Yes... yes it is... you want nothing to do with him.

You wish you could find another job other than Vought... you wish other jobs paid well. But no, instead you manage to catch the eye of Vought's best assassin. The same arms holding you... could easily tear you in half.

Black Noir then picks up the paper and passes it to you again. He taps the bold letter then points to you and him. He wants you to say it.

He wants you to love him too.

You take a deep breath, wanting to appease the Supe so you could leave. Black Noir looks at you expectantly. You're forced to play such a dangerous game....

"I love you, too." You say softly, hoping to appease the Supe.

Black Noir seems to take this as a positive, holding you closer. It was as though you said some sort of vow. One that would lock you to him indefinitely...

neuvillette didn't realize it at first, you'd always study when he was working. however when he came back and saw you still studying, thinking that you just started or been studing for like an hour he admired your determination. you always looked so focused on your work, your eyes narrowing slightly with you biting your lower lip or your tongue sticking out slightly; beautiful. he found you absolutely mesmerising, even more in those moments.

you managed to find time for it even after cooking, keeping the house clean and coming back from your own work. he never understood why you needed to work, he was makinh enough money already but you insisted telling him that you needed it for your experience, and so he never really brought the subject again.

it all changed when he realized that the cycle repeated itself again, again, again and again. the first or two weeks that it happened he just thought that its the specific hour that you study at, but after that he started to get a little worried about you.

the day would be the same practically everyday; waking up, getting ready, kissing you goodbye, going to work, coming back from work, seeing you study, getting unready, going to sleep sometimes with you or without you in bed.

neuvillette was tired of it. he didn't understand emotions very well and yet he could sense that he missed your touch, your affection, he wanted more than just a kiss goodmorning and goodbye. call it selfish but at this point he couldn't care less. besides don't you know that is unhealthy for you? draining you mentally and physically.

what was his solution? try to get off work for you atleast once every week, which not always succeded as he still is and will be his busty self. (but can you blame him? the whole fontaine reliefs on him.) and take you out on a date, whether it would be taking you to a romantic expensive restaurant, taking you out on a picnic or simply baking or cooking with you at the comfort of your house.

yet it didnt solve everything, sure his "selfish" desires were fulfilled but it didn't sopve the problem of you overworking yourself. he didn't exactly know how to solve it as he struggled with it himself.

so what was the most reasonable thing to do? talk with you about it. he already thought that you were smart already, and dont need to study 24/7 just to get some deegree. the talk could go two ways either a. it would turn into a fight or b. the talk would go smoothly and you end up considering what the chief justice said.

however even though the situation would go in two different ways, it would end up the same way. things would be settled in bed, if you know what i mean. pheraps if the iudex would prove how much "fun" you're missing, you'd change your mind and study less valuing your mental and psychical health more.

at the end of the day you chose the right option, besides your deegree is coming soon, isnt it?

The Bats have always been beloved by their Gothamites, but with these new little alert signals, their popularity skyrockets. Batmans promise to protect and defend those who cannot protect themselves is finally believed after years of slaving away on Bruce’s part to convince them, and the amount of little trinkets that the people of Gotham leave out as thanks to their protectors triples. It especially helps that the Bats start wearing little key chains on their belts, with all their favorite gifts attached to them. Then one night, all of the sensors go off at once. Bruce is frantic, calling Dick in from Bludhaven,(the oldest Bat also helps out in Gotham when he can, but he was in Bludhaven for the week) and recruiting Jason and even asking some of the League to be on standby. But when they all arrive, every single Batfamily member, there are no innocent civilians in sight. Instead, there are notes. Letters and thank you notes, old/lost/discarded batarangs with fresh coats, or sharpened edges, or bedazzled and designed, heaps of food, small storable snacks, and most of all, a spray painted bat-symbol in every location where the sensors went off. Gothamites might not be able to protect the world, but they would certainly show their support and love and appreciation to those who defended theirs.

Affixes, Clitics, and Particles

i think that these parts of language are really cool! so im going to try to explain them :D also i definitely did not get sent down an hours long rabbit hole of linguistic papers and i also definitely didn't find out that the reason i wanted to make this post is actually a misconception :D i love ignoring things :D

Affixes:

the wikipedia article for affixes says that "in linguistics, an affix is a morpheme that is attached to a word stem to form a new word or word form."

in hopefully simpler terms, this basically means that an affix is a letter, or a group of letters that form a single sound or syllable, that is attached to a word stem to form a new word or word form.

some examples of these are the somewhat well known prefix and suffix, but also the beloved infix:

prefix: undone suffix: spotless infix: abso-fucking-lutely

sidenote: my favorite thing about english infixes is that they pretty much only work with expletives. in fact, there's a tom scott video about expletive infixations!

Clitics:

wikipedia defines a clitic as such: "a clitic is a morpheme that has syntactic characteristics of a word, but depends phonologically on another word or phrase."

in layman's terms: a clitic is a letter, or a group of letters that form a single sound or syllable, that has the function of a word in a sentence, but depends on another word or phrase based on the sound rules of the language.

a few examples of clitics can be seen in finnish (which also has a great many affixes but we're not talking about those right now):

-ko/kö -han/hän -pa/pä -kin

the spelling of the clitic depends on vowel harmony. if you want to learn more, this dissertation is all about finnish clitics!

you may be asking yourself how to tell the difference between clitics and other parts of speech. well this study has just the thing for you! quite a few tests are suggested by the author of this study if you want to be able to tell if something is a clitic or not, including some of the following:

a phonological test observe how the clitic forms a phonological unit with an independent word. (do not ask me how this one works i dont know) accentual test "clitics are accentually dependent, while full words are accentually independent." put simply, if you can't put stress on it, it's probably a clitic syntactic test a word can stand on its own and be subject to normal word processes such as tense changes while a clitic cannot do this

Particles:

"'Particle' is a cover term for items that do not fit easily into syntactic and semantic generalizations about the language[.]"

read: "particle" is a miscellaneous, catch all term for anything that doesn't fit into the above two categories (or any other word categories like nouns, verbs, etc.)

the author of this study (who i'm going to refer to as Zwicky from now on because it's easier) says that theres no such thing as a particle and that its distinction from affixes, clitics, words, and clauses is unnecessary. i think thats an. interesting take.

anyway even though Zwicky just said theres no such thing as particles (which, how could he do that? theres kids around! we dont want to ruin the magic!) he concedes that there is actually a group of words that are commonly called particles that he agrees are actually particles. but he decides to call them discourse markers instead. because fuck you.

i dont like any of the words that Zwicky included so i made a list of my own:

-ね (ne) eh (canadian english) innit (common transcription of "isn't it", british english)

the funny thing is im coming out of this still not entirely clear on what a particle is. i thought i knew, i did some research, realized i didnt know, and now i'm here. based on how Zwicky puts it, it feels like the category of "particle" exists to accommodate the fact that there might be words* that arent affixes, clitics, words, or clauses but it feels like Zwicky is just being contrary. I should probably have done more research but this post was supposed to be done 24 hours ago.

i just had my mom pull out art from my dad and wow i didnt think id get so emotional. i was about four and he was in jail at the time, so most of the drawings he sent were my favorite cartoons but he had stuck my name in them. there were letters as well but i think that would have me sobbing. i love my dad. i love him so much. he was so thoughtful and wonderful. i might attach some photos later, because all of it was so beautiful.

he was bipolar (drug induced) so i wasnt allowed to see him alot. but he sent so many letters and always signed them "DADDY LOVES YOU" in big graffiti font and with hearts. he sent drawings of scenes from adventure time, he sent a drawing labeled "robot mommy and daddy, daddy cut himself" which makes me sad but its such a beautiful drawing its in a cartoon style and theres no blood, and theres a drawing of him riding a unicorn in a racing jersey with my old name on it, and countless others. i love him, he was taken too early.

Blood Letter

Red like a letter read in rage, like a needle pricking fingers when you turn the page.

I am perhaps a bit too attached to stylish two or three letter descriptions of each of these haha. If I was much more proficient I would probably post without any wording or flavour text. After all, I can hardly explain what these pictures are about better than I did when I drew them in the first place. Perhaps for now it just feels more "me" to keep doing that little bit of styling as a bit of harmless flair.

Although I've gotten to feeling better recently I've strangely not felt too compelled to pick up the pace with what I'm showing off here... it feels strange, like, surely theres more than 30 pictures I've made this year that I want to show off to everyone?

I also have pictures from previous years that are probably worth archiving here and talking about as well, but I can't help but feel cruel and calculating with only choosing some of the several dozen pieces I've made to put here for posterity.

But it might not just be excessive selectiveness, its probably also a subtle feeling of wanting to curate each of these a certain way perhaps, like, sure, I could just dump 7 pictures in a week here, but there's an element of curation and reflection I might miss out on if I don't follow up what I share with what I'm thinking of at the moment..

On twitter I'm often regretful that I don't have the space to just chitchat, but here the format kinda lends itself to it, so might as well make the most of it haha. Im hoping that eventually I feel more comfortable posting my sketches on here as well, rather than just the arbitrarilycherrypicked "best" pieces

i have so many thoughts and feelings about this!! i got the idea for this bc of the attached playlist (love it a lot btw. good job), and i was so excited to do a piece referencing album art. ive like never done any art that does a reinterpretation of another piece of art (theres another word for it that i believe starts with R but im having a brain fart and can't remember, bleh), so this was tons of fun!

u can bet ur bottom dollar i was listening to touch tone telephone for a while as i drew this 💀 it truly gets me hype. and for those unaware, this replication (theres the word!) was based off of the album spirit phone by lemon demon! at some point while going though this playlist i had a Vision ™ for today's drawtober (aka tuesday's, but ive been busy working so) and HAD to execute it 😎

uh, i used a brush i havent really used before for this as well! i tried to be painterly and it was quite fun :3c it's called spectra and it's on procreate for all my ipad babies out there. 10/10 i recommend it. i think i'll be painting with it more when im in the mood for those vibes tbh

Welcome Home Theories

Feel free to dispute or tell me 'Well duh' I discovered Welcome Home less than 24 hours ago and am not 100% caught up with lore, this is my theories/opinions so far. Goes without saying, spoilers.

Theory 1: The house controls everything, welcome home, the house wasn't originally in the show it came through the portal its hiding. The house wiped all the character's memories apart from Wally's, thats why it is always looking at Wally and Wally is always looking at the camera even though he can't see us. He's scared of the house. Also when you press the path beneath Wallys house you are taken to an image of Wally reaching out to the houses' eye. On this theory, maybe the house is watching Wally with all the eyes

Theory 2: Wally is a sentient puppet who made other puppets. This is based off the old concept art tho so I'm guessing its not true but on Clowns website theres an artwork of Wally holding Barnaby by strings saying " 'Look' Wally exclaimed 'I made dog' " and then the next art work is Frank surrounded by what looks like discarded prototype Franks (find on this website https://www.clownillustration.com/from-me-to-you )

There is also a drawing of Wally and in the background is shadows of what looks like puppets who aren't in welcome home

Theory 3: Wally is aware he is a puppet and none of the other characters are. This connects with theory 2 and is mainly because he is constantly making eye contact with the camera and when you click his house it says 'Good-bye' at the bottom and the rest say 'Go back' and also the fact that Wally responds to the guest book with the URL name of his doodles and its not confirmed if other characters are responding although one of the doodles is tic-tac-toe and thats thought to be Julies' signature

Also under 'did you make this website' there's these hidden messages

'It means it’s inside of you too, then Does it hurt'

'When I unwrapped the first letter, I felt it. I heard it. Open. Open. Open. I want it out. I’m going to get it out'

This could be Wally talking about having a hand/strings attached to him because he's a puppet.

"Dear Vivianne and Andrea,

Hello my girls. I’m sorry I had to leave so suddenly, especially after Queenie had her pups! I hope they’re all doing well, you’ll have to tell me their names when I get back.

I’m splitting this letter into two parts, Drea darling your part is first, and then Dewdrop.

Drea: Hello sweet girl, how are Blue and Whisky doing? Before I left, I bought some more bathing sand for Blue. I was thinking we could get sort of a sand-box situation out back, so that Blue and Whisky could bathe without making as much of a sandy mess in the bathroom haha.

I’ve attached a few pictures of rock types I’ve spotted in Sinnoh that I thought may bring you some joy. Mostly it’s Bonsly and Sudowoodo. If you think you’re ready for a third, Bonsly are very simply pokemon to take care of, and very loving little chaps. I could always adopt one for you while I’m here.

Also, I’m bringing you home just an absolute load of Poffins. I never quite mastered making them myself, but if you like these ones, I will make a new effort in learning how to make them properly. I know you love your pokeblocks, but they aren’t…particularly made for human consumption. However!! Poffins are the Sinnohian equivalent of pokeblocks, and due to the way they are made they are also edible for humans. I begrudgingly ate a pokeblock so that I could compare the texture and flavor to a poffin, and the flavors are quite similar, although the texture of a poffin is much more fluffy than crunchy, although I would suppose it would depend on how long you baked them…

I’ve gotten off track! I hope you’re still having a good time with your schooling, you’re almost done! Just a few more weeks and we can take our break for summer, yeah? I believe in you, and I think that you’re doing great!

Vivianne: Hello love. Once again, so so sorry I left on such short notice, I was really hoping the Walrein thing would resolve itself, but we know life is never that simple. In the middle of wedding preparations as well, ugh.

Returning to our conversation before we left, how many ring bearers and flower children are we realistically allowed to have? Because I agree on Sprite being the ring bearer, I think it would really appreciate that, and Andrea as the flower girl. But also there’s Bird, and possibly Kittsu, and maybe Beedrill, but I feel as if he would not care as much. My vote is on Sprite and Kittsu as ringbearers, and Andrea and Bird as flower girls. But of course, your input is important to me, and I’m sure Vio would love to be part of the ring/flower children as well.

I do think it would be nice to have a more traditional Crowen wedding :) I was never particularly attached to the Hisuian/Sinnohian wedding traditions anyway. I was doing some research and I thought that the Crowen Handfasting wedding tradition was particularly sweet, and I would like to have that as part of the wedding.

I hope everything is well while I am gone, and that everyone stays in good health. I am amassing sweets and trinkets for everyone when I come back haha.

So I am being more nice! :D one of my teachers is like you too! They decorated their wheelchair with loads of stickers and have a very pretty Reuniclus that helps push her around when her arms are tired! Like you and the mons!!

I made a few friends along with friends outside the special program! they sit with me during lunch and they are really really nice! One of them has a huuuuge dragonite and the other one has loads of Omastar! They all make sure nobody picks on me :D

I might try the poffins but I still really like the pokeblocks, Nana started making safer ones for me and they are like little hard chalk-y candies instead! so im no longer eating the bad ones even if I reallllly want to eat them!

Hello Starlight, Don't feel so bad for leaving, Emergencies can pop up out of nowhere. All that matters is that everyone is safe :) I have been putting some money on the side still for Sprite and Andrea's futures (i'm writing this while they are out!) I know they wont need the money for a *very* long time but I want to make sure that they can still have money there if they need it.

The babies are quite chunky but uh, they mainly get that from their dad. still cannot believe that someone offered to breed their Crowen Gyarados with Queenie to try and get more genetics into the bloodline! they are finally developing their first bristles and I am so happy.

Also I would love to do the handfasting tradition! My mother still have photos of her grandparents doing the tradition! I still can't believe that you went all the way to get those books for the wedding, Starlight. I truly am a lucky woman.

on a serious note I have been having nightmares, its hard to remember how they go but im sure it's just because I got so used to knowing you were in the home too. I can't wait till you get home! Liam has missed pestering you and your team for sure :)

Honestly would love to see even a snippet of Colin moping around the courtroom every time Pen leaves the underworld and being physically held back by his brothers from fully attaching himself to Pen's side like a dog on a leash. ("Oh my gods Colin PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER!!!")

Let's all pray for Francesca's sanity. As Colin's top advisor and right hand, she is gonna have her hands full when those spring and summer months hit. Like she has to be there during the send-off, or else Colin will attach himself to his wife.

Colin stays in his domain mainly because Penelope and Francesca remind him that Portia can and will create another famine, thus making sure they have extra work that will last the whole 6 months Penelope is in the Underworld. Colin not wanting his precious time with his wife interupted agrees to behave. Besides he is a good ruler and he doesn't want to do that to his domain again. Plus all that over time he had to pay to his judges and soul deliverer was not cheap. He can not do that every year, doesn't matter that he's the richest god among his siblings.

Colin does get to see Penelope though during the summer solstice and meetings that require all the siblings and spouses, so that eases the tension a little bit. He's not completely deprived of his wife for six months. Her thone on Mount Aubrey is right next to his! (He would prefer if she sit on his lap but Anthony says there's this thing called public image. Which is lies, Colin knows the truth. Kate won't sit on Anthony's lap in public so he makes everyone else suffer too.) Plus they send cute little love letters to one another courtesy of Penelope's right hand.

The year Francesca falls in love with Michael Colin thinks he finally has a chance to sneak away to go see his wife during the summer and spring months. But in reality Francesca now has a partner to help rein in Colin. Michael finds it funny, especially because before leaving Penelope herself and her right hand both warned Michael that Colin will try to make a jail break, so please help Francesca keep an eye on him.

So... when I said that everything was the same in spotlight au... that includes Macaque making a deal with LBD. cuz who am I if I don't have some kind of angst hehe. Though, there are a few differences. The main one being that, when Spider Queen tries to take over the city, LBD keeps herself hidden from Wukong. This also means that he doesn't leave during season 2. At least, not at first.

This is another drabble that got way to long hhhh

(Everything said in this post happens about a week after the attempted city takeover.)

By this point, Macaque's friends know Wukong is the ex and still don't rlly like him, but they can see he's trying, so they r giving him a chance. But, like I said, they have their ups and downs. At one point, they have a fight. I haven't worked out what the fight is about, but they both say things they regret later and Macaque storms off to the theater, his one place of solace (he and a few other long term actors have the codes to get in and are allowed to whenever they want). A few of his cast mates were there going over lines and immediately rush to comfort him, letting him vent out his frustrations.

Here's where the angst comes in >:))

It was well into the middle of the night when the lights flicker out, a man stepping out of the shadows, purring about how "easy it was to find the lady's little play thing."

Macaque immediately backs away in terror, knowing full well what the man was there for. Or rather, who.

(Theres like 6 people there including macaque, but i dont have any names, so I'm just gonna use letters to address them lmao)

"Uhm, excuse me sir?" A said nervously. "You can't be in here, you need to leave."

The man chuckled, ignoring them completely, his eyes zeroed in on Macaque alone. "You know, if you were trying to hide, you did quite a poor job of it."

B and C move forward, the others converging to stand in front of Macaque. "Hey, back off, man." C snapped. "You need to leave. Now."

The man raised an eyebrow, then smirked. He rushed forward and in the blink of an eye, had B and C by the throat in either hand, raising them off the floor.

Macaque pushed passed the other 3, eyes wide. "Stop!! Stop, let them go, please! I-I'll go with you, okay?"

D grabbed Macaque's arm. "Mac, are you crazy?"

Macaque ripped out of the hold, moving closer. "Let them go and I'll follow you without a fight. I'll do whatever she says, just... don't hurt them, please. " His voice was shaky, as were his hands. He thought he'd gotten away from Her years ago, thought he was free despite the feeling of chains in his dreams.

He now realized just how foolish a thought that was.

The man's grin widened. He threw B and C forward, the duo crashing to the others with a yelp. Macaque moved to help, but was stopped by and hand gripping the back of his neck, sending shivers by his spine.

"And the lamp?" The man hissed in his ear, smile ever present.

Macaque was near hyperventilating. He didn't want to do this. Gods, he did not want to see her again, but he had no choice. He had to keep his friends safe.

Shit, why did he have to go and get attached again?

E stood up, seeming just as scared as Macaque. "L-Let him go!"

The grip on his neck tightened. "The lamp, Macaque."

Macaque shut his eyes, tail curling around his leg. "I-It's at my house."

"Good. Take us there. We don't want to keep the lady waiting, now do we?"

Macaque bit his lip and summoned a portal under them. He opened his eyes long enough to see the terrified expression of his friends, B and D rushing forward, arms outstretched toward him.

He couldn't let them get hurt. He could probably--maybe--fight the man off, but he couldn't risk LBD using his friends against him.

Macaque reached into his pocket and, right before he dropped into the portal, threw his phone towards the group, praying to any god listening that they'd know who to call.

And that he'd be willing to help.

Wukong was surprised to see Macaque calling him. Normally they went days without talking after a fight. He honestly didn't want to answer at first, but he knew that'd probably just make things worse.

So, with a heavy sigh, he swiped answer. Before he could even speak, though, the sound of loud sobbing filled his ears, the noise coming from the background. He sat up from his couch, fur bristled. "Macaque? What's going on, who's crying?"

Someone took a deep breath, then spoke. Someone who definitely wasn't Macaque. "Sun Wukong?"

Wukong growled. "Who the hell is this. Where's Macaque."

"This is B. I'm a friend of his. He... shit this dude just came in and took him!"

Wukong jumped off the couch and ran out the door, summoning his cloud and taking off toward the city. "Took him? What do you mean? Who was it?"

"It was this weird dude in a suit, he came out of nowhere. I think Mac knew him or something. The dude said something about a-a lamp? I don't know, but he threw his phone before they left. I'm assuming he wanted us to call you."

Wukong swore under his breath, urging his nimbus to go faster. "Do you know where they went? Did the man say anything else?"

"Mac said the lamp was at his house, so he took them there. Uhm, the guy said something about a lady?"

Wukong felt cold. "A lady?" He repeated quietly.

"Y-Yeah. I think Macaque knew who he was talking about? He said 'she' at one point. I-I'm sorry, it's kind of a blur, everything happ—"

"Are you sure?" Wukong repeated, voice strained. He had to be wrong, please, he had to be wrong. "He said 'she'? Do you remember what Macaque said exactly?"

B took a shaky breath. "He said 'I'll do whatever she says.' He was trying to get him to not hurt us."

No.

Gods, he was such an idiot. How did he not see it before. People don't just come back from the dead on their own. Someone brought Macaque back, someone with a purpose. Someone who was supposed to be dead themselves.

A low growl made its way past his throat.

B spoke again. "You know what's going on, don't you?" It wasn't a question.

"Yeah," he answered. "What's his address?"

B hesitated, but only for a second. "It's ______"

"Alright. Thanks for calling me. I'll handle this."

"I'll keep his phone on me. Keep me updated."

"Sure."

"I mean it," B snapped. "You better keep me updated. I want to make sure Macaque is okay. I don't trust you, but he obviously still does. Don't let him down again. Please."

By the time Wukong made it to Macaque's house, there was no one there, the magical presence of the lamp faded.

The next day, Monkey King went on 'vacation.' He didn't tell B about it.

“Dear Sprite, Beedrill, and Tari

So so so sorry this letter is late. We finally resolved the Walrein situation. Unfortunately…well, the pod will only accept Wallace as the leader of their pod, so I’m going to have to leave him to stay at the shelter. He’ll be fine, he was getting bored at the house, but I’m sure he’ll miss his daily Beedrill inspections. Skie got it in xer head that I should do an interview on the main sanctuary account while I’m in town, so it looks like its going to be another week. My work never stops it seems! Ah well.

Sprite: ….I’m going to be honest Sprite, I’m not exactly delighted by that news. You. Told Kittsu to leave and she did. That’s not great! That’s super not great actually! Just- fucking dist Sprite. I’m not. mad. A smidge frustrated but not mad.

….I hope your outing was fun, and that you feel better soon. Make sure youre drinking water and eating regular meals and getting enough sleep. Please take care of yourself, bubs.

Beedrill: Your support in my caring for Bird means everything to me Beedrill. This week she got to pet more Spheals and ride (very safely) on a snowmobile. She says it was very loud but a bit cool. Matcha has been banned, but she does enjoy mochi.

As for service pokemon. The main reason for keeping service pokemon and battling pokemon separate, is specifically in the case of medical alert and task pokemon. For example, if Orion was a battler and I was battling with him, if I started having problems with my heart, he would be too distracted by the battle and wouldn’t be able to alert me to sit and calm down, or fetch my medicine. Or if I had a panic attach while he was battling, he may not notice and be able to task to help me out of it. That’s the main reason for not having a pokemon do both. It’s possible to have a service pokemon also be able to battle, but it’s a bit frowned upon for those reasons. It really depends on what tasks the pokemon will be trained to do to help you out. If you’d like, it’s something we can discuss at length when I get home. I would be happy to train a service pokemon for you if that was something you wanted.

Tari: Glad that Corro is keeping Jester in check haha. And I’m especially happy to hear that you and Delta have made up! Good job kicking its ass at air hockey, much respect. I used to be quite good at air hockey in my college days…perhaps we should battle it out to see who’s the best when I come home, yeah? I appreciate your thanks, but it is unneeded. Hello Professor. I was glad when your letter arrived, Sprite had got it in his head that something bad had happened to you and we both enjoyed this letter. I will miss Wallace, Admittedly, I do wish I had some of his DNA and a small laboratory to study him and come to my own conclusion on weather he was a dual typed pokemon, or a fraud. I hope he finds peace at the sanctuary. In your next letter I would like to know how bird is doing, as not hearing from her directly has made me rather on edge. Could you please include an excerpt from her in the next letter. Tell her she doesn't need to write in cursive, or use code name, just something, even a drawing would be good. I will think over the service pokemon thing. Theres nothing wrong with me to a diagnosable extent. I don't think giving a service pokemon out to someone who doesn't need one would be the best course of action. Maybe a normal pokemon would do just fine. I have been hanging out more with your green haired friend. It's interesting. I have a couple more observations, but i'll spesify them when I have more evidence to back them up.

Fave Sonic Trio Headcanons

aka a random trio i made out of these three.

edit: i call them team neon now!!

why? because theyre my fav sonic characters and i want to see them all interact. simple. :]

i still havent found them a name though😭

i'll add more probably (*ahem* feel free to suggest-)

blaze is the speed type because she's literally the sol equivalent of sonic. tangle is the strength type because i think she's good with close range, also her strength stat is 10/10 in speed battle. silver is the flight type because he flies everywhere, floats all the time and also can carry 30 people at once with his power.

(for AU only– i guess?) they live in some kind of a weird trailer. they found it abandoned so they decided to renew it and then decided to live there :)

(also for AU only) theres a bed at the back of the trailer. its the most chilly place so blaze sleeps there. tangle sleeps on a couch, but sometimes she makes a bed out of her tail. theres a bed attached to the roof (idk how trailers work but-- yknow theres a small room thingy built above and theres a bed inside?? yeah that) silver sleeps there.

none of them know how to cook properly. blaze is absolute dogshit at cooking, tangle made sunny side up eggs once, and silver can make something easy if he follows a recipe of the said thing written on something.

blaze has the most beautiful handwriting known to mobian. tangle's writing is extremely messy, like if you can read it then congrats. silver's writing usually consists of square shaped, blocky letters and its kinda messy but still kinda readable.

they can't handle horror games well, especially the ones that has many jumpscares, like fnaf (even though some of their adventures make horror games look cute). when they first got jumpscared silver accidentally flung himself to the roof and broke it, tangle almost squeezed herself to death with her tail, and blaze scorched the computer.

tangle and silver played tic tac toe and doodled stupid shit on blaze's forehead once when she ended up falling asleep (they did it more than once btw) the first time they did it they almost got scorched alive but now blaze doesnt give a fuck about it. she got rid of all the permanent markers around though

this trio may seem like tangle and silver being idiots and blaze is their caretaker– but it's not. blaze is just as much as an impulsive dumbass like the other two (but sometimes?).

emphasis on "sometimes": they have one braincell, most of the time blaze has it but sometimes it just. doesnt exist. it keeps disappearing

bc of blaze being a walking radiator, they all make this cuddle pile in winters when they get cold. blaze being in the middle.

tangle's tail is so fluffy that sometimes they end up sleeping on it all together. it just sprawls around to make a biiiig bed (think of it as a floor full of pillows).

silver's quills are a perfect subject to test out all the hairstyles :)

about this post, it took like 6 hours to style all of their hair. (fur? quills? idk)
