so far i have damian being 15 in current continuity. he was 10 when he became robin, and i think tim was 17, so theres a 7 year age gap, same as jason and dick.

i think i remember dick saying that he was the same age as bruce when dick made damian robin, parallelling bruce and dick to dick and damian. bruce was like,,,,28? when he took in dick at 12. theres a 16 year age gap between them. if damian was 10 at robin, then dick was probably 26 years old....

But! Hi hello welcome to Oh lord this family needs therapy and counselling . ! Honestly I have been going into everything with the idea of her being a single mom w/ them! It;s very much a situation of like.... Parent that works away from home constantly, so the relationship is just unfortunately naturally more strained kinda thing .

With all this i go with like.... The idea that they were very much born in Hoenn and lived there with Lucy until Carmine was approximately 9 or so, and Kieran was 7 [I do like to imagine they're 16 and 14 respectively as of the dlcs]. Work being so remote and stuff plus worrying about their education and all just led to living with their grandparents in Kitakami being the best decision for their development as yknow, People. I like to imagine Lucy visits periodically throughout the year and such to check in :> just takes a bit of coordinating. Also shes absolutely the reason they're able to go to blueberry for highschool via both making sure they Can go there financially and putting a word in to a battle focused school of them being kids of a facility head :p even if realistically Lucy isnt the strongest head by any means lol . it's kinda like if an E4 member put a good word in situation. And we can see with Lacey and Drayton both going there... gestures. I wouldnt be surprised if more children of different league figures go to it or schools LIKE it. Carmine might be the easiest to point a finger to as being like her mom but i genuinely think that it;s actually Kieran who ended up the most Like her, yknow it;s incredibly obvious to point a finger at Kieran during indigo disk and how he talks as being her fault a little bit :p anyways thats just me vaguely mumbling abt that. AS FOR. DYNAMICS. Kieran isnt as close to his mom as Carmine is just due to everything with living with their grandparents. Theres also absolutely like.... Very much a gap because he stopped seeing her as much when he was younger, while Carmine was only a year off of being like. Legally start being a pokemon trainer age. And its just Awkward, relation wise, just because of how little she actually sees them through the years, especially when the discussion would slowly shift to more "How are your studies?" "How are you doing in school?" "How is your pokemon training going?" once they start going to blueberry. Which i don't think was ment to come off as uncaring for them and only focusing on training as it did from Lucy's end, but I dont really think she knew what else to ask and all, because she stopped being able to really pick up on their interests as much as they got older. Irene dimension/non irene dimension is weird but none of it’s like, super bad from what I can tell. Something like S2 Dante/Laurence isn’t inherently problematic, it’s just you have to be fine with the kinda large age gap for it to not feel weird.

Plus the age gaps (ignoring the ramifications of missing 15 years) depend on what ages the other characters were. Like if Dante was 19 and Laurence was 25, then post-Irene dimension that’s only a 9 year age gap.

i cannot for the life of me figure it why so many people think rhea was older than daemon when they married. there is not one mention of her age or birth year in f&b or the rogue prince that i can find, and it isnt listed on the offical wiki either. i truly have no fucking idea where people are pulling this from. please someone find me a solid quote from canon if it exists.

all we know is daemon was 16 when he married, but I'm struggling to see how this suddenly makes him rhea's victim specifically, rather than just a victim in general, when we have no understanding of how old she was or how much agency she had.

and then theres the fact that overwhelmingly people are discussing the hbo show, which aged daemon up and cast a woman nearly 10 years younger than matt smith to play rhea. like. we have nothing in the show canon to suggest the victim narrative for daemon that people are Choosing. daemon is 31 in episode 1 so assuming the length of his and rhea's marriage wasn't altered then he was at least 18 when he married. and if the actors age gap is mirrored in their characters then rhea was 9... do I have any evidence for this being show canon? no. and realistically its not going to be show canon. but thats literally my point. because do you see how dumb i sound going "daemon was actually 18 and rhea was 9 soooo" just based off these broad assumptions? and i have just as much "evidence" as people saying he was a child groom to an older, predatory rhea

Ninjago Age Headcanons

I can't find the post I made on them a few months ago, so alas here I am. Making it. Again.

We are excluding Pilot because I believe that they are the same age as season 1.

SEASON 1:

In order for this to make sense, the Ninja must have begun in their early/mid-teens, then later became older, except for Lloyd, who started as a child.

I've seen many headcanons of Jay and Kai being the same age, I'd have to agree, it does make a lot of sense.

Zane I'd say, from what he's aware - he'd be one year older, while Cole - who was the leader when Lloyd wasn't around - is the eldest, standing 2 years ahead of Kai and Jay.

Nya would be one year younger than Kai, but with how enamored Jay was with her, I'd say the maturity difference wasn't as huge - unless Jay is a creep at heart. I will admit - some things Jay has done or acted like, were kinda creepy, but not the kind of 'I go after people who are obviously far younger than me.' And I think we can all agree that Kai would kill Jay if that were the case.

So I'd say the answer is pretty simple.

Cole: 16

Zane: 15

Kai: 14

Jay: 14

SEASON 2:

Obviously, this is still within the same timeline, maybe a few days after season 1 finished - so I'd say they remain the same. Except for Lloyd, who once gets hit with the tea - is much older physically, but mentally remains 7, just becomes much more mature, unfortunately. I'd like to think that Nya and Lloyd first gave off older sister, younger brother vibes, but now gives off twin terror vibes, so Lloyd would physically be the same age as Nya.

And with PIXAL starting to make quite the appearence after rebooted, I must say, she should be included too, I'd say her body is very young, but mentally shes about the same age as cole. She doesnt have a body at the moment, so until she does, theres no body age.

I think beck? I say this tentatively because she's not completely a character yet but if not her then it would be her sister lou so I'll just talk about them both 😛

lou (louisa) is the eldest child and beck (rebecca) is the second child, they both had a pretty bad childhood because their dad was shit and it was a whole thing whatever. anyway dad is finally out of the picture when uhhh lou is 12 and beck is 9?? I forget their ages. whatever. I haven't decided how he leaves but he does and the kids are understandably traumatised... a few years later (15 and 12?) their mother remarries and this guy is actually great 10/10 dad, he's really close with lou but doesn't have a good relationship with beck because she doesn't trust him, she processes the childhood trauma as anger whereas lou just bottles it all up and pretends nothing happened. a few years later their half sibling (undecided name) is born and it's all great until new dad falls really ill and is hospitalised for the foreseeable future, the kids are around 18/15/2 at this point (big age gap I know but just go with it) so all their dreams for the future kinda go out the window.

lou wanted to go to university to study marine biology and eventually work for marine life conservation and beck is really into art and wants to go to art school, but once their stepdad was hospitalised they had to move to a new place close to the hospital so rent is high, their mother can't work full time because she needs to look after unnamed small child, so lou puts her uni plans on hold and starts working full time to support their family. beck is still in school at this point but she has a part time job too. anyway all this is background to lead up to the current part of their story, Lou is 21 and has entirely given up on her dreams, beck is 18 and is leading up to finishing her a levels (they're british. btw. also they're mixed because I do what I want) and there's so much conflict between the two of them, beck is really bitter and angry and lashes out at people and stays out too late and her mother and lou are worried but theres not much they can do about it with everything else going on, beck is determined to not be like lou and give up on her dream she'll go to art school even if it kills her and they have so many fights over this where is she gonna get the money for school how can she leave her family in such a difficult time how will she manage to live alone with no money etc etc. lou is also angry but being lou she bottles things up...etc etc. they're having a hell of a time

I have a very vivid scene in my mind of beck having an awful day and drinking for the first time when she's with her friends and comes home and realises what she's done and has a whole breakdown because their dad used to drink and like..yeah..you get me. and lou comes in and she's like fuck off but lou doesn't leave and they just kinda sit there together and beck is crying and it's the closest they've been in a while

beck was so jealous of unnamed child when she was a bit younger because child had a much happier early life than she did

beck and lou do genuinely care about eachother but their life is just so shit rn so they end up fighting a lot and they have conflicting ideas and whatever

ep8: -this is cool to watch with the context of nico back in f1 today -theres just something so funny about when drivers get told something they dont wanna hear over the radio and its just dead silence. theyre real for that tho -nico/cyril jet "therapy" conversation is so iconic TO ME -i now know how alain prost is yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy -i think both of daniel's one year teammate tenures (nico & estie) are both sooooooooo interesting. ship wise fascinating. underrated as hell. -neurodivergent daniel propoganda "nico huuuuuulkenburg" is 100% a vocal stim -ESTIE my beloved. the original Toto Wolff's Special Lil Guy™ -no its so nice to see him in this gap where it was all up in the air knowing how much he's cemented his place in formula 1 now. (like i KNOW that alpine is a shitshow rn but he could easily find another seat. even if not he's made his mark :) -this makes me excited to see nico in the new season. he makes pretty good tv and it'll be cool to see how much of that has changed with age! -another narratively well done episode. nico's only episode and a wonderful one. i also noticed the music a lot, i think they way they used music to build tension was rly cool and not something i've noticed in general. really really good episode

――HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE?

Haru and Tarhos have a 12 year age gap, and Jhin and Robin have about 8-9 years so... I'm very loose about it, as long as everyone is an adult, consenting, and mature enough to be with one another I'm pretty alright with anything.

I'm actually quite shy with writing NSFW but my writings with Spuk have really helped me realize that I don't have to be guilty about those topics. Howevever I still am very quick to put "Read More" on the post if I think it might even lead to something spicier. Usually this occurs when kissing starts getting more intense and hands are placed on one another; it isn't so much that I consider it NSFW, but I like to tag what is going on just so people can decide for themselves if they'd like to read it!

――ARE YOU SELECTIVE WHEN SHIPPING?

I have absolutely no issue with saying that I'm very picky when it comes to shipping any of my characters, I can generally pretty quickly pick up when characters have chemistry together but it takes time for me to be invested and keep interest. Robin has a lot of complexities that tend to not work well in shipping situations and Haru is....an experience. So I tend to be very selective with shipping, there's only a few exceptions to this like how me and Spuk have a lil Frank/Haru thing going on despite Haru being shipped with Tarhos, its a one-off and fun and since most of my ships are with Spuk anyway well...I feel comfortable to explore that with him without worrying about "Ohhh but Tarhos!"

Haru gets along really well with Durkos, Sander, and Alejandro! While I don't view them as romantically involved with eachother (thats a convo I'd have to have simply bc I never considered it) I do know that they deeply care for eachother and have had some sexual encounters.

I generally like to confirm with my shipping partner that they feel the same way - just because I can see something doesn't mean they do, or vice verse and that's completely fine. While chemistry is, mostly, extremely obvious in a lot of cases, I still just prefer to confirm it.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE SHIP IN YOUR CURRENT FANDOM?

To be completely honest I'm so horrible with shipping that I didn't even realize people really shipped things within the game; particularly since Riot isn't the best with making new champion interactions. I enjoy my mutuals ships, frankly, but I don't know if they would ever be something I would have thought of without them. Although a ship I DO love and absolutely delight in is GaloLio from Promare!

fffinally doing this ask game :3 i didnt forget, ive just been having a real Time lately.

1: sexuality headcanon gay! homosexual! every fleeting interest he's ever had in a girl has been comphet! im usually pretty flexible on sexuality headcanons but this one is like. phew. that is a homosexual.

2: otp its so so so hard for me to choose between k2 and kyman as my kyle otp. ive been into k2 for so much longer, but there's not nearly as much content for it, so kyman is on the brain constantly.

3: brotp stan and kyle. i really and truly love their friendship so much, i think they're bizarrely codependent besties who can hardly make a single choice in life without filtering it through each other and bickering about it.
