it's really hard to predict what kind of reactions he'd have because we never see things from his perspective.. so this could end up being off but, it was still fun thinking about it.

I felt it was really interesting how Luka believed Hyuna would have been safe if she were to be with him (p97 of artbook). Does he have any base for having made such a claim? Would he have really been able to preserve Hyuna's life? It does explain why Ruler Of My Heart's lyrics were like that then, it was definitely written with his feelings towards her. From his perspective, If she chose him, he really could have given her "everything(life)". But he got rejected(lol)

Oh and I've been writing a few posts about how he's been "made for the stage" for that purpose... turns out that's actually really what's canon, I was getting some hunches from the artworks; it was implied too, but..; I feel that'd be something pretty important in terms of understanding his character.

Now I want to speak about Harry Potter and the game (more specifically about house of Black), but I’m also adding here that I do not support the claims of that woman (to this day I will wonder how tf did she write Tonks, who’s has the powers to turn herself into anyone regardless the gender and is my fav female character alongside Minerva). It’s been ages since I’ve read the books, but my father got the game and I only started playing on November.

I had a lot of favorite characters, I loved Sirona (which was kinda how I found out that JKR didn’t have much or anything to do with game since Sirona is a trans woman and one of the kindest women of the game), Matilda, Phineas, Ominis, Natsai, Poppy and Professor Bakar.

Saying all that, here goes some observations and criticism:

Phineas Nigellus Black was known for being arrogant, but he also wasn’t stupid. He was hated, yes, and had a preference for slytherins (just as Albus had for the Gryffindors) but like…he wasn’t useless. Guy was the only male heir of an ancient house, by the time he was the headmaster, he was probably the head of house Black, which would take some political skills and a lot of work. In the game it’s clear that he only cares for his appearance and reputation…which is also weird bc how tf a guy that cares about his reputation would let Hogwarts be attacked while he’s the headmaster? One of the most annoying things on that game regarding this is that Black is said to pass a lot of time in the school, considering his wife asks if she could see him during the holidays or whatever, and he has portraits telling him things, but he just dismisses the Ranrok problem? The problem that could destroy the school that he is in charge, which would also destroy his own reputation bc we had Fig and Matilda telling him about it, not to mention that everyone knew about the thing that happened in Hogsmeade? Didn’t make sense at all.

Another thing that didn’t made sense, at least to me, is that to hire people at Hogwarts, you have to get the headmaster signature. How tf did Matilda convince Phineas to hire all the people she wanted? I’m seriously asking this tho bc Mirabel is a muggle born, Shah is either muggle born or half blood, there are also others who probably aren’t pure bloods…and Phineas is head of house Black. Either he was in love with that woman and let her have her way with it, which I will also take bc kinda interesting how the headmaster who hates students, teachers and school prefers to be at said school than at his house…not to mention that she’s the only one he treats with some respect and also lets her interrupt his speeches, and even says “thank you” after, OR she has a strong and persuasive power. I might take both. Turns things more interesting and dramatic, and they would also be a very hot couple.

The bullying thing. Like, people might not understand what I want to say but his method of quitting bullying was way more effective than Dumbledore’s??? Like, he screamed at the Slytherin that was burning that book, which belonged to a half-blood, and told him (the half blood) to stay out of their way. Was it right? No. I would give him detention. But it made things stop. I might be wrong bc it’s been ages since I read the books but I sincerely don’t remember Albus giving detention or screaming at any Slytherins…he also never punished Snape even tho he made Neville’s life miserable and was like “A Ravenclaw set fire on their cauldron so I’m gonna take 10 points from Gryffindor just to make sure”. Not to mention that Sirius did get away with almost killing Snape when they were teens…

There are things I really liked about the interactions and all, tho, that made things a little bit more interesting to those who like fanfiction and romance (like me): I really liked that dynamic between Phineas and Matilda, him almost dying to say thank you to other people but saying it to her kinda naturally, how he lets her interrupt him and all, his time at school…anyway, I might write something based on that.

I had a HC in my head that Ursula was a lesbian bc her name reminded me of the story of Calisto. So the HC in my head will be that she married Phineas but has an affair with Elladora, his sister who never married. And he knows all about it but doesn’t care since he has his heirs and spends most of his time thinking about a forty and something years old ginger.

Also, there are other things that doesn’t sit right with me about it: I know that the castle rejects headmasters they don’t see as legitimate or fit to the job, something like it. I remember that Umbridge was made headmaster and couldn’t get into Dumblerdore’s tower bc of it. If Phineas was as incompetent as the game tried to pass, I highly doubt he would’ve stayed much. Wouldn’t even make it pass the door.

Another romantic thing: I wanted romance options on the game. I was dying to take Natsai and Ominis out on dates. And we should’ve seen more of Sirona and Mirabel!!! I wanted them to be a lesbian couple so much. Would’ve been cool to see professor Onai and professor Shah interacting, too.

About Ominis Gaunt: I know the fandom has that old hc that pure-blood families made their children practice dark magic and/or used it on them since they were little, there are plenty of fanfictions about it, but I thought it was such an interesting thing to see it on a Gaunt bc people generally write about the Black family that way, which didn’t make a lot of sense to me considering the family is crazy and all but the Blacks that I remember that used dark magic were Bellatrix and Regulus. And they were trained by Voldemort, not by their family. Bellatrix met him when she was like 25.

Which led me to Sebastian Sallow and the use of dark magic! Like sorry uncle Sallow but Sebastian was truly the only one of that family who cared about Anne. His uncle destroying the fruit was so unnecessary. I do understand his anger and pain bc he was out there like “your twin sis will die mate accept it and leave her alone” but I also think it was a little bit stupid of him to use Imperius right there in front of everyone…he could’ve used any other spell and we know it. I do not feel sorry for the goblin or for his uncle, tho…I only feel sorry for Anne.

Speaking of deaths, I was STUNNED with Isidora’s death. Congrats to the actor who played San Bakar bc it was probably the best said “Avada Kedrava” of that franchise. San Bakar saw Niamh Fitzgerald hurt, rushed to her side, Isidora was almost taking two of his friends at the same time and without any effort at all, and he goes avada kedrava and rushes to Niamh again.

The sad thing about Isidora is that she’s just like Sebastian. So obsessed with taking the pain out of people that she manages to get more pain in.

Also, I find it a bit sad that we have towns of characters that should’ve been powerful but we didn’t see their powers…

I would die to see the other teachers and some students in action, we barely saw Ominis use magic and like…he is a Gaunt. He must have some powerful shit inside him. Also, I think Dumbledore should be there too bc of the timeline, but I might be wrong.

Another thing to complain about the game: our decisions don’t really impact much. We can chose to lie or say the truth, to follow Ominis or Sebastian, but we always end up on the same place.

The lack of backstory on the player character is also something. Do we have parents? We are muggle borns, half blood or pure bloods? Who are we, anyway?

Anyway, we don’t see much of important book characters and when we see, the thing that seems to be more accurate is that he doesn’t like his wife (at least it does make sense to me considering people married young at that time and he was thirty when he got married, not to mention that he was the only male heir since his little bro died in childhood) and, ofc, he hates almost everyone. His looks also are accurate considering he’s a Black who likes to have style. And that’s it. And, I might add, there’s always a connection with gingers and the Black family. And Gryffindors and Slytherins.

Oh, professor Binns also seems accurate.

And, as I said, I will probably write a fanfiction about Matilda and Phineas. There’s a fanart of them that made my head spin and now I can’t think about anything else other than him mistaking her bedroom for his while using the floo network (I could actually see it happening since they have the same blankets tho…and this is canon).

18+ long ass rambling and things i think about A Lot ……..

in my opinion (which is not the end all be all everyone can perceive them however they’d like) reader and spencer definitely bring out more sexually adventurous sides of each other like they just have a shit ton of chemistry and for a while ithink spencer would just be easing reader into sexuality so nothing that crazy would happen aside from the power dynamics we see pretty much from the start. i think those would definitely get stronger and occasionally more variable. im not usually into sub!spence but i think there would be times he would definitely allow reader to have more control (i don’t ever think he’d be like calling them mommy lmfao) but aside from that i could also see him veering VERY rarely in a slightly harder!dom direction. like he’ll never hurt or seriously degrade you but in p3 reader says something about liking it when he acts like they belong to him and he was really into that. as the relationship progresses i think he would almost start taking more ownership of r’s body in a way, like obviously nothing is ever nonconsensual but he just knows you so well that it’s like… well he knows you better than you know yourself sooo you let him call the shots, but at his core i think spencer is forever oriented to please. he just wants to make you feel good, that’s always gonna be his goal, so he’s always going to listen and even if the power dynamic is weighed in his favor you are actually always the one in control bc he’d do anything for u lol

in terms of kinks…. idk, i never really see spencer as a super kinky guy? like he just knows too much about paraphilia and obviously sexual violence ties into a lot of his job so i sincerely doubt he’d find giving or receiving pain arousing beyond like slapping your ass or you scratching his back or whatever. love is always at the heart of sex for him and that’s going to be the most important part, he’ll never be able to see you just as a body. he’ll always see you as the person he’s in love with and there are things he’s simply not willing to do to the person he loves.

i really love him, and i think it would be very sweet and interesting to see how he might feel and interact with someone (the reader) he has genuine feelings for?

i understand that this man is a villain and well.. it’s vox - however, it would make me so happy to see him painted in a softer light. some people may enjoy darker themes, but, for me, it’s really upsetting to read sometimes.

i don’t really want him written as non-canon compliant because i still want it to feel like him.. but maybe, this could be the one person he has this soft spot for? like.. i want to see this man IN LOVE 😭💗

as for the reader, they’re gender-neutral but with feminine leaning presentation? and maybe, they’re also an angel and have this really sweet demeanor? maybe i’m just projecting. but i love the grumpy/sunshine dynamic.

TDLR: I think it’d take a lot of communication and trial and error to get him to a nice balance, he’s not romantic publicly, and he likes how you look so out of place it fits the public image of wanting to be trustworthy

I have a dumb and undeveloped theory, but a theory nonetheless:

what if Will's painting is a foreshadowing of season 5?

okay, hear me out: first of all, the three-headed dragon represents the 3 "villains" (basically the monsters of the Upsidedown) we got throughout the series (the Demogorgon, the Mind Flayer (twice) and Vecna/One/Henry) and how they're gonna have to completely defeat the 3 of them in season 5. Because, for now, the only thing they've been able to do is sent them back to where they belong, but alas, they keep coming back, so maybe it's time for a final battle. Another interpretation of this could also be about the types of villains in the series: the "bad men" (aka: the people from the lab, Dr. Brenner, etc.), the Upsidedown monsters (previously mentioned), and a third thing that we haven't seen before or something we've seen without realizing (like closed ones being used as villains, e.g.: the flyed, especially Billy, and Vecna's hallucinations, especially Max's mom).

the second thing I wanted to point out about the drawing is that it features only the og party. I think this means that season 5 is going to be centered around them the most, much like season 1; we've spoken a lot about "full circle moments" when theorizing, and it really doesn't get any more full circle than that. We've got an overhead framing with Lucas and Dustin standing behind, with Lucas more towards the back and Dustin kind of in the middle, and Will and Mike pretty much side by side (which might mean something about their dynamics this season, but that's another topic entirely), with Mike a little more forward, either leading them or facing the Evil™ first (could also be sacrificing himself, I'm not sure). It also may look like Will and Dustin are in the middle if you don't really get the angle, but I don't think that's it.

What that "different point of views are different character duos" thing could mean, imo, is that we're going to see multiple different pairings among the og party this season; it's already been confirmed that there will be scenes with Lucas and Mike, and Will and Mike, plus some bts pictures of Mike with Steve and Robin might lead us to believe that there will be scenes of him with Dustin as well, AND the, atp, infamous bts photo of Will, Mike, Joyce and Lucas could also mean we're getting Lucas and Will scenes (or at least Lucas-Mike-Will) (this last two could be a stretch). (Disclaimer(?): we can't trust the bts pictures that much, just because two actors/actresses are together on set doesn't necessarily mean they're filming together, for this the pap pictures are a way more reliable source of information).

Now, is undeniable that symbology is really important in Stranger Things, and I might be wrong and reaching way too much, but, I don't know... It just seemed really intentional that Will made a drawing for Mike specifically that features the four of them, and with such an specific situation too, I don't think we've ever talked about a three-headed dragon before, that hasn't been a recurring villain of their campaigns, as far as we know, so I really think it might truly mean something, if not specifically this.

If this is crazy and makes no sense, you guys can ignore it, I might just miss analyzing paintings in art history now that I've graduated high school and this might be my way of coping with it. On the other hand, if someone else has already talked about this theory or this is a well-known speculation in the fandom, I was not aware of it, I swear this popped up in my head when I was looking at the goofyass drawing that Mike's Funko pop is holding in number 1539.

unleashing the same hellscape i did on my notes app here it's my nelvas thinking dump i wrote just for fun and to keep track of what i view them as up 2 this point. Might change my mind on it later on it has a lot of things written in brackets for no reason . it's like ~2500 words long which isn't much but i think i said everything i've had in my mind for now read it for fun if you like to have fun leik me :) And talvas :) And nelothxP

retyping what i said in the tags of those last text posts and rearranging those thoughts a bit: in my train of thought that's been going steady since early 2024 i'm almost certain that neloth might see talvas as the epitome of being morally Clean (before that changes because of neloth's influence over him) and generally pure as a person. pure not used in the Pervert way; neloth is just a veeery big fan of talvas having absolutely no backbone and being very docile when it comes to him. which is r expected traits 4 someone if they find themselves under neloth's thumb as an apprentice, but it being written that he isn't at all catty and defiant to his face is cute. all talvas manages to do is shit talk neloth to others and pray neloth doesn't find out he meant the things he said but also can’t help feeling bad about it, even though neloth doesn't and wouldn't care, if he found out. neloth is happy with being an obnoxious & disgusting person. truly.. him growing obsessed with talvas' docile and innocent nature doesn't necessarily have to add up to him wanting to Taint or Ruin him (and if it happens ((it does)) it's not done on purpose, neloth can't hold that much control and power of his actions in that specific department). he encounters difficulties when he realizes he actually wants that Elven Twink.. it's too far gone to fix anything after he's tampered with talvas' patience and stability, and even then he can't be honest with talvas about anything, because he still wants to hold a great deal of power over him (neloth essentials for survival).

Might be the type to just want talvas to magically(haha) think it's okay that his wizard master desires him and expect that energy right back without talvas actually acknowledging it because it'd make neloth feel insanely cringy and embarrassed.. humiliated.. EVEN. but that's just in a deep deep dark corner of his mind, he isn't stupid. when trying to gain 'access' to his apprentice ("*His* apprentice" is also kinda funny way of viewing his mind too. just cause talvas is working as an apprentice under him neloth probably already feels a concerning sense of ownership over him that makes him feel very good) he can't even make the signs of interest be apparent to talvas because he's insanely inept at being Soft and honest for obvious reasons. he can tell what possibly could make talvas warm up to him even after he treats him like shit for eons but there's no way he's bringing himself to do it (change is embarrassing, especially in their formal dynamic, and especially at his age). so it's a half-assed attempt (actually he's trying his hardest🙄) to try and make talvas be (at least) less afraid of him. not that talvas has any other place that we know of that he "Belongs" to, he just sticks with neloth regardless of anything. neloth watching him as he sleeps ensues . Guys what do i do to make my apprentice let me hit because all of the eye contact i do with him while gripping his arm or petting his knee isn't helping. 

if we were to go back to how that spark is ignited in neloth swamp of a heart, brain… idk, it has to be when he realizes talvas' capability of forgiveness and 'Sucking it up' instead of lashing out at neloth after .. anything, but perhaps physical abuse in particular. neloth a 100% has absolutely no problem putting his hands on anyone, especially someone he sees so often, such as talvas. not that talvas really annoys him (his clear and voiced obedience pleases neloth as anyone can tell), but he just doesn't see it as too much of a big deal. the physical mistreatment that happens once in a blue moon isn't intense enough to scare off talvas for sure anyways. neloth is a bitch so all he can so is smack him at the back of the head (talvas finds it very normal) and slap him if he's feeling festive (something talvas finds kinda extreme but not that it happens often. he sometimes feels like he deserves it, or that neloth is warranted to do as he pleases. he tosses around it being justified or pitying himself, though). May be possible that neloth would realize he Like Likes talvas once he slaps him, mayhaps, for the first time, but talvas' immediate reaction to being treated like that is just sadness mixed with feeling shame for tearing up/crying in front of someone he respects *bishoujo sparkles sfx*. talvas is a delicate soul so he can't hold warranted emotions like that for long, and even tho it's expected of him to be making eye contact w/ neloth in a setting like that, he wouldn't be able 2 bring himself to do it because looking at neloth would make him wanna burst out in tears like a weeeee baby. Booo hooo.. talvas is the 19th century (4th era) damsel that runs out of the ball in tears after no young cavalier invited her to dance. watch this bleed into the most awkward and silent week of neloth's entire life because talvas doesn't even really feel like speaking to him or looking at him, but neloth doesn't wanna brute force the usual respectful etiquette out of him cus he thinks that's just gonna make talvas hurl himself down on some rough rocks at the seashore. Good thing talvas is very spineless and forgiving (especially in relation to neloth… i mean.. who r YOU to not forgive him) so that might just last a day or two. the hurt always stays tho. neloth this is why talvas doesn't wanna smash you.. you might've made some conclusions about what elven twink you like but talvas is just even more scared of you now. was your Pervert awakening worth it. and even if we do backflips and jump thru the point where everything is too far gone for either of them to go back, dude is still too afraid to make out with his apprentice. Deserve. but why though because talvas wouldn't refuse. for what reason? we may never know

^^^ this makes me feel like i love seeing characters i reaaaalllly love (elenwen and talvas in this case) as enigmas in situations where they're confronted with something so ""Intimate"". elenwen's stance on this is final tho cause she's a grown ass woman and there's no way you could reshape her brain. ulfric left her mind plane in SHAMBLES. talvas has more right (in the literal sense) to be erratic or inconsistent with his actions. maybe he likes to be desired. Also i strongly believe that talvas has probably never been in love (for any reason rly but it's mostly him not having actual time for it + not seeing it as something that is important to him at that point in his life)… i want neloth to be his first experience with Love so that it ruin his view on it forever. can't get myself to say he'd be in love with neloth at any point though. From his standpoint it really should feel empowering and 'nice' that neloth wants him in many ways (ew).. cause that's a man with status.. power.. ability to do anything rly . talvas is in no condition to be playing mind games with him or anything tho so don't get that idea. he's not strong enough of a person to be Tricking anyone or to be Playing with anyone's feelings. neloth would be immune to that, too. neloth can just kinda tell talvas is too good and … UNTAINTED. talvas wants to see the best in everyone. too bad he genuinely detests you, neloth.. so: he doesn't actually love neloth but wouldn't be happy to see his tombstone either. SO (PART TWO): if you time it right he wouldn't be against getting Freakkkkyyyy with you okay?but no promises

even if @ some point talvas develops indistinct feelings towards neloth cause of neloth's own incessant weird-mild advances it wouldn't have to mean he just likes old men permanently now. actually it kinda does. i can sorta feel it rearranging his braincells and making him unable to normally interact with people in his age range. he probably already had a hard time talking to others in hopes of developing a friendship just cause he's timid but after neloth's nonstop abuse and Accidental romance mind games he morphs into a whole new type of guy. it's hard to notice at first but he'd probably just start to leech off of neloth's prissy and unbearable personality in a natural course of things + neloth is the only person he sees and talks to on the regular pretty much. < this can just be reworded as just the cycle of abuse and whatnot. if he notices an opening in the abilities and Smarts of another person, especially someone his age/younger, he will automatically see them as umm…stupid. and also insult your abilities to your face if he snaps. he strikes me as the type to be afraid to say what he really thinks (another consequence of being glued to neloth all the time when all talvas does is act like he totally respects anything he says) and gets scared if anything slips out his mouth but is proud in letting the "Truth" be known because he already figured out you're a lesser being than him. he's just cloning neloth's verbal abuse braincells though he would never put his hands on someone. his desire to be mean and see himself as superior stems from neloth always disparaging him obviously.. talvas 4 that reason is very self conscious of his abilities and doesn't rly think he's all that useful or talented. his self doubt then would play into how he doesn't know when to believe what others are saying to and about him.. i wanna imagine that talvas is very oblivious to neloth's weirdo status just cause he partly doesn't even want that thought to cross his mind. i bet everyone but him sees it and finds it gross😕 but nobody in the vicinity is strong enough to tell neloth that he should be ashamed LMFAO. if you would try and even hint to talvas that it's happening he'd never take you seriously and just get mad. he's protective of neloth's image more than neloth himself is; not that people knowing neloth has abnormal sodomistic inclinations toward his apprentice would make his public image worse than it already is (everyone already thinks he's weird so it's not shocking at all) but talvas still wouldn't wanna hear it cause he thinks it's just false. maybe he's just ashamed that he's being brought into the whole thing. also because he doesn't wanna face the reality EJI23JRIO32KJ Well talvas when neloth makes an actual move on you don't say that we didn't warn you.. we're all waiting till neloth's status as an obvious apprentice-pervert becomes obvious to you

even if he's willingly ignorant of the fact he still thinks of the 'accusations' a lot when he feels like it. and unknowingly begins feeling even more uncomfortable in neloth's presence. heart starts beating faster and everything. neloth could come up to him meters away and talvas would still cover his mouth in realization and be like "i knew it… the DB told me but i didn't wanna believe it …..😦 so you really do like young men … and you're in love with me ..😨" *Neloth wakes up from this fever dream drenched in sweat* < neloth doesn't want (obvi) talvas to react that way at any point because he himself would just get scared so they'd just be staring at each other wide eyed. but talvas jumping into his advances isn't what he wants either (that'll also scare him). neloth is still relying on talvas' politeness to let him do as he pleases. but it is impossible for talvas to let it slide without questioning anything regardless so🤷‍♀️ take your few Ls and move on. neloth just wants talvas to sit on his lap. wants to spoonfeed him soup. he's so romantic. he also wants to(sniper on rooftop blows my head to bits). neloth is actually a pretty touchy feely person when he's feeling Frisky (=deranged about talvas). I'm certain his favorite part of talvas' body is his legs. talvas has beautiful young man skipping leg day legs. so nothing special at all but neloth wants to touch them lol.. let your master wizard squeeze your calves and he might just be occupied enough like a kid playing with a fidget toy to not abuse you verbally for 3 seconds. as i said befoar neloth is unpleasant with his touch because he doesn't know how to be soft + doesn't even want it to necessarily feel very 'rewarding' as to not pamper talvas. petting talvas kinda turns into a nervous habit for himself and an instrument of some sort of Reassurance 4 talvas when he wants him to know he’s not mad, for example. non-vebal confirmation. talvas still finds it weird but thinks it’s a charm point too. neloth wouldn't even be against touching him familiarly in front of others but only in a "older male figure" ways ex. touching his knee or putting his hand at the back of his neck (talvas sees it as some sort of disciplinary tactic though). physical touch that matches neloth's age and is enough for it to be seen as not necessarily romantic / overtly weird. 

there'ssssss no saving talvas after such a powerful person gets his hands on him. any will to leave would leave HIM either out of fear or out of attachment and neloth wouldn't just let him go (Alive at least) since he knows the things he knows. if talvas were to escape i'm a Truther of him not feeling in place and wanting to go back cause it's the stability that he's used to. but tbh if he encounters neloth on accident anywhere he's gonna start running. Like we haven't really seen Hancock interact with a lot of people outside of Luffy... Just a few people from Amazon Lily, Momonga and Smoker, Rayleigh and Jinbei

And like yes, Hancock hates men except Luffy and Rayleigh, and after Summit War I think she at least tolerates Jinbei?

But if Hancock does leave Amazon Lily and heads to the New World, if by some confusing turn of events she ended up getting invited/dragged into Cross Guild... IDK I'd just. I'd love to see her interact with the others there and what their dynamics would be. Like I'm sure she'd just fucking kill Buggy. Which would be valid, go off queen, pertify him. And considdering how chill Mihawk tends to be I think those two would be able to at least tolerate each other?

But how would she and Crocodile interact, what would that dynamic be..? I'm so curious...

Especially because in the Impel Down scene where Hancock finally gets to speak to Ace, when she abuses her Feminine Allure on the other prisoners to rile them up (so she can create a distraction to speak with Ace), the only characters we saw who didn't get riled up were Ace, Jinbei and Crocodile. So it could be entirely plausible Crocodile could be immune to her powers much like Luffy, and that alone could like... inspire respect and/or fear in Hancock, because she'd know the guy doesn't view her as just a piece of meat. Also Hancock's ability to completely neutralize so many enemies is just. So OP. I could totally see Crocodile wanting her to join because she'd make for such a powerful ally for Cross Guild.

But also... God, could you imagine if Crocodile somehow found out about Hancock's secret... 'Cause there's so many ways that could go... Like Croc could totally use that knowledge to his advantage and intentionally blackmail Hancock to joining CG, which really could work. If the whole world found out she was a slave, if the Marines ever caught her she'd get shipped right back to Marijoa (and god, if the Tenryuubito found out she ""belonged"" to one of them, I could imagine them wanting to send people to get her specifically). So like, Crocodile would have the worst blackmail imaginable against her. But also, letting Hancock know she could get sold out at any second would just give her all the reason to try to kill Crocodile through whatever means nececary. Like if her safety depends on Crocodile keeping his mouth shut, and she can't trust he'll do that, then surely instead of giving her a reason to betray him he'd at least attempt to inspire trust instead? Like yes he doesn't believe in trust etc etc but surely he's smart enough to understand the situation he'd be in?? Like either you go out of your way to explicitly make her feel unsafe and afraid of you, or you try to make her feel safe-ish?? And you know? Crocodile hates the Government, and sending Hancock off to become a slave would not benefit him at all. It'd just make some monster in Marijoa extremely happy, and I'm sure Croc wouldn't want to give them that joy. And you know, Hancock arguably would be safer with the other former Shichibukai than if she continued to sail around the New World in search of Luffy alone with her crew. Hell, if she helped fight some Marines, she'd be ensuring those Marines wouldn't get to bother Luffy instead, so she'd be able to support him from afar.

So like. While I'm sure he wouldn't actually give a shit about Hancock or anything (maybe at most feel some unspoken pity on her), it unironically would benefit Crocodile to just try to be nice to Hancock. And how would Hancock take it, how would she respond to that?

extensive thoughts on letty/mia bdsm dynamic, i guess

i truly believe that if letty and mia ventured at all into bdsm letty would sub. and i do keep trying to write it the other way around mostly because i wanna do boot worship, but i can never make it work. i think the issue is that i can't see letty getting a lot out of dominating someone physically weaker than her, whereas i do think she would enjoy shoving dom around. i also think letty would get more out of a generally subversive arrangement (submitting as the butchier partner, basically), which is why i like her as a bitched alpha in omegaverse settings. i kind of think letty could only submit to someone weaker than her, because that would make it her conscious choice to surrender control.

i also think that with mia, she would be able to act in ways she wouldn't be able to act around the guys, since she wouldn't have the same reputation to uphold. basically, i don't think she could ever sub for dom, but i do think she could do it for mia. i can only really picture letty in the more dominant role if she's (a) specifically trying to fuck mia like a guy, (b) introducing mia to sex or lesbian sex completely and taking that role by necessity (but if they're doing bdsm, i assume they've fucked before), or (c) trying to prove something, which can overlap with (a). but even then, i guess i can see her fucking mia hard, but not hurting her.

going off of the first movie alone, i think mia wants control and wants to have something that belongs exclusively to her, whereas letty wants to belong to someone. i'm not sure what mia would get out of submission. i don't know that she would enjoy taking on the more stereotypically feminine role, and it wouldn't be novel or interesting to her in the same way it could be for letty. also, i feel like the onscreen mia/brian dynamic is much more transferable to mia/letty than letty/dom is to letty/mia, if that makes any sense. like, even if mia had only been with men before getting together with letty, it wouldn't be such a massive adjustment. and mia's not exactly getting on her back for brian.

there's also that little moment in the first movie when mia acts like she's going to let vince take her out. i'm not saying it's not justified, but i do think it's crueler than anything letty ever says or does. the final point in favor of mia being the domme is, i think, that she would be much better at staying clearheaded. i think she might not be able to fully let go and submit if letty were hurting her and not just fucking her, whereas letty could kind of let herself be overwhelmed. like driving without thinking or something. that's my piece, anyway

Hey I am trying to write a fanfic right now and I saw you had some Dave Rygalski headcanons before so... do you have any Dave headcanons about his home life and like him outside of the characters we see on the show?

Hey, I am so sorry for not replying sooner but how sweet of you to think of my headcanons! It really warms my heart to see people still actually interacting with those Dave posts. I’m guessing my input will be irrelevant for your fic by now but I still love this as a prompt so I figure it would be fun to still write and post a reply. Also if/when the fic is up and running please send me a link so I may devour it!!

I never thought all that much about Dave’s homelife. I assume he’s in a two-parent household, but unsure about siblings pets and general family dynamics. Now that I’m thinking about it Dave does seem like the type to have sisters, maybe two or three. He doesn’t strike me as someone with active drama going on with his family during the show (which would be a rare sight on Gilmore Girls), but then again that’s just my take. If I remember correctly he is canonically Jewish, but as a European gentile I don’t exactly find myself informed enough to make religious or too culturally specific headcanons for a Jewish US American boy in 2000s New England.

What I do headcanon is that Dave, Zack and possibly Brian all come from a neighbouring town instead of Stars Hollow. I know US small towns can be a lot bigger than what we define as small towns where I’m from, but Lane’s never met Dave before the band and Stars Hollow is a tiny town with presumably only one high school. They should’ve met by season 3 if Dave was a townie.

I also headcanon that he can’t wait to get out of small town life, which is why he applies to study in California. I don’t think he hates small towns (if he did he would spend a lot less time in ST and a lot more doing daytrips to NY) but he’s probably never truly felt at home and hopes to find that sense of belonging in a physically bigger place. Whether he’s right about that assessment or not is a whole ‘nother case though. I think he has a really tough first year in college getting used to a far noisier and busier city and not having that safe group to constantly fall back on like he would back in New England.

Another headcanon specifically about everyday homelife is that Dave is the technician of the family. Because of his audio-tech passion his parents and potential siblings just assume he’s great at all tech and electricity, forcing him to be the one who has to figure out how to fix a faulty satellite and learn the fuse box, and at some point just switch out all the lightbulbs in the house.

Other headcanons I have which have little to do with homelife include:

Dave’s more of a sci fi geek than fantasy geek (not that all fantasy fanboys know Tolkien inside out but in GG he would’ve picked up on Mrs Kim’s quote… also he’s big into sound tech and I headcanon him as eventually getting into tech period). The boy knows his Asimov, his Analog, his Star Trek, his battlestar Galactica and most definitely keeps tabs on the Syfy Channel.

Sci fi preference be damned that boy is doing something tabletop related and my money is on either Dungeons & Dragons (the guys is studious af and has Brian and Zach as friends) or Magic the Gathering (and yes he would spend all his lunch money and then his student loans on the damn cards)

He might have anxiety (not to do armchair psychology but there’s a vibe. The ones who know, know)

He could become a little tech broish while studying in California (I mean Silicon Valley is right there) but I think it would just be a phase and that he’s more obsessed with nerding out over how things work than spreading the Web3 gospel. And I still stand by my headcanon that he goes into sound engineering or sound related tech for work after college.

I just really wanna talk about my take on Bob2.0 'cause I wove him too much.

(This only makes sense in my series canon sadly so TLDR: cartoon characters can die in various ways and go to a purgatory but sometimes other forms of media sneak in unknowingly)

Since the third book ended with him floating off into space this is a variant in which he, somehow, died. He can't remember how and he's far away from both HEAVEN-1 and all the other Bobs. The only ones he can interact with are the ones that have canonically died and the first generation (who also can't remember how they died), all of which are hard wired to his IBM 5150 computer monitor he's stuck in.

They can be sent out into space by hijacking other spaceships but it's too risky to do (he's fully skint too).

⚙️ He's quite bitter he lost Charlie since he's now shorter than before (mainly 'cause the android model he stole was prebuilt and he doesn't know how to readjust it). He also has to recharge as well and can't do much either (he can access the IBM computer system his head belongs to but then he just turns into a regular ass computer, it does let him adjust his system which he does every night with the ROAMERS controlling stuff outside).

⚙️Since most of the other Bobs are still in slight control of his system he tends to flip between personalities and even memories (rarely shows up but sometimes he casually drops stuff that never happened to him).

⚙️ The other Bobs can intervene if they're put in the IBM system (some are more hardwired in than others but some can be transferred to floppy disks, much like Bob-1 they all lost their ships except for Milo).

⚙️LOOK ME IN THE EYE AND TELL ME THIS MAN DOESN'T HAVE AUTISM! Gestures with his hands when he talks, prefers solitude and can do it for long periods of time, hyperfixates on random subjects and sci-fi, struggles with interacting with others outside of his small group of friends and family, an inability to comfort others. I can SMELL it on him man!

⚙️ This man has a roadtrip soundtrack, no one can change it and anyone who does gets put in the ship storage hull (it's mostly a mix-trail of 80's/90's stuff, ELO, Thomas Dolby and Talking Heads).

⚙️ He's essentially completely denounced any type of romance between him since he's too out there for most others (flirting has been observed to cause him to do a mental tailspin).

⚙️ Feral as fuck. Not only does he forget he's still human to a degree at times but he tends to go into weird manic over analysis moments (also tends to devolve into a mad scientist without realising).

⚙️ Suffers with slight touch starveness due to him being unable to properly touch anyone intimately for a long time* (this is most evident with casual touch so it's unsure if he could handle anything further).

⚙️ Is "slightly" hyperfixated with both Spore and 90's alien stuff (I'm going HARD on my headcannoning here. I'm not against him being a classic sci fi nerd but I like the idea he's more into a specific sub genre rather than just being a generic nerd**).

⚙️ Adding a bit more to it I also like to think he's into the LEGO Space sets as well. Alongside Guardians of the Galaxy (man probably had enough time to binge it).

⚙️Most of his other attributes and habits from before still stand. He still likes to talk shit about religion and often gets a bit arrogant when talking about his old job and achievements. I did nuke a bit of his overt geniuses from the book since I (for some reason) think he gets slight moments where he messes up hard by over assuming stuff.

⚙️Every single Bob treats Homer like the lil brother once they found out he's still kicking. The second he comes in at a bad time the others just try 'n shoo him out so he won't see anything too graphic.

⚙️ I'll probably go into this a more later but he has like the weirdestly wholesome dynamic with P.C, like they're just two mad scientist weirdos talking about random stuff and being feral.

*I know this one sounds dumb but like... I don't think he ever tried hitting on any Deltans at any point for obvious reasons, and his only friend was Archimedes. So obviously the man's gotta be a bit on the touch starved side.

Day 1: Favorite OC For this one I chose Luvig!!! He's from my series (or one day to be series anyway) Devils From Above, and although it was a really tough choice he has a really special place in my heart! I think he's a really interesting character to unpack and I had a really fun time designing the logistics of his wheelchair a few months back!

Day 2: Oldest OC

Bugcat is an OC from around 7 years ago!!! I remember making him really vividly, and although I have since redesigned him I drew his old design here!

Day 3: Newest OC

Grimve is my newest guy from a school project! He is my subject being used for runcycles in animation class!

Day 4: Favorite OC ship

For this day I chose Nonxes and Erkebos! They're from the same universe and Luvig and are also some pretty old OCs I've redesigned! I've always loved the dynamic I gave them

NGL I have.. a TON of OCs I neglect to draw lols. But I chose Rorey because I remember specifically making her to draw her all the time and then NEVER drew her again LMAO

oh, Mordecai having some romantic feeling about Atlas is so delicious. Adds inherent internal conflict -- Mordecai's dad is dead, Atlas may have thought of himself as stepping into a pseudo parental role (even if it was only as a manipulation tactic). Mitzi helping Mordecai with new clothing is an almost familial act, but also he's competing with her for atlas's attention (which is romantic attention for mitzi)! Very fucked up, I love it. thinking about it feels like getting tazed.

like we Could just suppose mordecai peaced (violenced) out of lackadaisy based just on the Business considerations of marigold now being the sole large & relatively stable operation around, and that he's now moved to dig into things only because he's worried about, what, arrest for murder (which would have Been a concern re: "murder is a not insubstantial part of your job" the whole time, but)....but it's more Enriching if he gets personal character motivations that aren't solely practical concerns, so you gotta imagine that's how it really is

and like what's (so likely i just assume it's true, and) important is just that mordecai has some kind of very motivating emotional attachment to atlas out here, and given that he's not forthcoming about that and atlas is (a) dead and (b) also not forthcoming in his fleeting, mysterious appearances, any details have to be speculation, but aren't Needed to suppose that that emotional significance is there....i assume the most common theory re: wondering what atlas meant to mordecai is that mordecai was like "that's my dad" and ofc with the lack of specific info we can't say that's Not the case lol. it would also be hilarious anytime there's like unilateral [that's my dad] that is never acknowledged / taken on by that would-be dad lmfao....and ofc it's possible that atlas is the one with the unilateral [that's my son] especially by virtue of assuming the figurative role of Patriarch as less mere "is this my begotten son" and more "i'm a Man who is In Charge of this group of people. meanwhile mitzi and mordecai truly can get in on some "familial" dynamic like particularly on the basis of "people who are stuck together (in this house, in this job, in this group you're supposed to belong to all your life)" and their being Rivals re: atlas in one way or another making them like frenemies out here is great, and that now they are plausibly frenemies who are also the only people who can understand each other's depression is even better lmfao. still thinking it was mitzi (wife) asa (friend) and mordecai (???) at atlas's funeral for sure

meanwhile it's really not difficult to imagine that mordecai could feel some type of way about atlas when it's like, people are gay, it also Is difficult to imagine a More emotionally impactful introduction to someone / establishment of their role in your life than "thinking your own murder is imminent and even that atlas was someone about to kill you Now but then it turns out that this guy absolutely out of nowhere basically saves your life even though he just spared you a revolver"....i do generally assume that atlas related to most everyone around him in that opportunistic way, that, like in taking on viktor, atlas sees someone backed against a wall here, and if they can shoot their way out of it then he has this potential hire who now owes him their life and has that ability to fight their way out of a situation in which others are trying to kill them and still doesn't have any other options, and, like pretty much everyone, continues to have few options as they get involved in the organized bootlegging world, the other paths are closed to you....but, of course, mordecai may not have ever been confronted with that hypothetical reality of how atlas related to Him, and not really have pushed to make his Own hypothetical feelings about atlas manifest as more than like, being that ferocious little shadow, nbd just an important, fave employee, and of course there's atlas being married not long after....not some amazing situation, but regardless of any further specifics, we can presume that it's as big a deal as anything to mordecai that Someone is on his side at all and helping him out, even just on the level of like, on his side of "not dying" and helping him with "not dying," and he's taking what he can get out here, aren't they all

and just some more "wow. wild" visuals like, such as The Following peak dramatic introduction and how it's like okay you could at least imagine it Could be the kind of thing mordecai feels differently about than like [literally dadcore] lol

just before he's also like "i'll kill you" at the suggestion that he was Romantically Involved with mitzi lmao....i do not imagine that mordecai was ever living with atlas but it's like, how much bodyguarding was done, to what extents. certainly could imagine him getting close enough to escort people to their homes, doors of apartments or hotel rooms, could imagine sometimes staying in those places too....real "why are you, as a man, aware of another man's living situation and the status of his marriage's deterioration" moments lmao. even when it's like, well yeah he's quite literally Close to atlas whenever being like a personal guard type situation, and presumably being privy to a lot re: business, and even some of the personal. and it's also a question of, supposing atlas did have a part in his own death, What atlas's motivations would be....evidently it wasn't great for lackadaisy that he died, or for mitzi, and what benefits could atlas reap directly by his dying when yknow then that'd mean that he was dead....gotta suppose if he Did go "look, most trusted employee who's already privy to a lot and maybe i also trust b/c i know you Care A Lot: you gotta kill me" it's more likely that he Was motivated more sentimentally than like ruthless business boy style out here. maybe mitzi wasn't living with him after some opportunity she pursued too far evidently fucked some things up, but atlas would still be like "well the things are already fucked up, and also i'll die to get mitzi out of some impending further consequences of it" maybe. maybe it was that atlas was just Sure he'd be killed, and so he had mordecai be the one to do it rather than live in suspense and not get to pick the time and place and be killed right off rather than hoping that enemies lurking around every corner both can & will make it a quicker less painful death

and it's like, hand to forehead, oh lord The Drama to suppose atlas told mordecai "okay. you gotta kill me :/" and mordecai is kind of in love with him or something and yet still has to go "okay :/" and then do it and then he and atlas's now-widow, who he kind of hates and is now the one other person who knows what went down and who he'll attend the funeral with, can be [hand to forehead] about it together....not like there's no drama in mordecai going "i have the worst luck re: my dads dying, ugh" in this scenario either lmao but it Could instead be like This and it Would be all the more agonizing. gotta kill this guy you love who you knew was never exactly gonna return that even beyond "i mean, to what extent did he Love his actual wife, even if it's a [nonzero] answer" and who would entrust you with this task b/c he not only knows you Could do it but that you Would....which also leads me to the postscript of this theory, that atlas also could've just leveraged that "however anyone felt about it presumably mordecai was Technically only ever Officially: atlas's employee of the month" and also basically made it a Professional Order to be the one to kill him. sure thinking about how mordecai repeatedly, including in his introduction, goes "it's really important for me to have a consistent and rigorous approach to Doing My Job that isn't based on going 'yahoo wippee i'm having so much fun' b/c I'm Really Not, i do not like any of this" like hmmm! might be the kind of important, emphasized perspective of a character who was like "yeah i had to kill my boss who i loved and i deal with that by being all-in on 'i don't do this because i enjoy it'" while others are like wow mordecai why don't you Seem to enjoy this either way more or way less? what a weirdo. and he's like, literally i just work here. anyways imagining the like "mitzi and mordecai hanging out in silent crisis together in the Depression Café immediately after mordecai killed atlas b/c atlas arranged that and both of them were aware of this and mitzi was married to him and mordecai was his right hand man and now their frenemies forever competitive status is that classic 'we might never even talk now but we'll just share a lifelong secret maybe, you know how it is' and in this scenario i also do imagine mitzi would be aware how mordecai felt, gayly. a ton of fun"

as World’s Only AVoS enjoyer, i am more than welcome to offer my suggestions 👀

for me, one of the most interesting parts of avos (aside from the kin’s Murder Antics and rowanstar’s Cringefail World Tour) is the sibling dynamics between alder/twig and needle/violet. it’s interesting to see how alderheart and needletail’s influence impacts both siblings moving forward. plus twig’s relationship to alder offers a nice alternative to the series’ typical view on adoption/chosen family. even though twig loves her birth family, her HOME is in thunderclan with alderheart!!! (also, give her a different name! pretty please! twigblossom to emphasize growth/change or twigsprout to emphasize change while also emphasizing her silly/naive nature 👀)

also, as a cat with GAD, i love alderheart as a cat with GAD. i wish he had more of a character arc than just.. uh… sudden competency, but that’s what rewrites are for!!

also, re: sparkpelt: she DOES deserve to have more focus, but i have no idea what she’d be doing lolol. i like her standing in contrast to alderheart as just a straight up child prodigy. they still love each other very much but it’s even more stressful for alder, seemingly being singled out by his dad... and when spark faces troubles later on (specifically being targeted by bramblestar/impostor), this dynamic gets flipped on its head, which is very interesting to me 👀 maybe give spark the pov on the journey, then ax it later in favor of giving the thunder pov to twig? either way, alder doesn’t necessarily NEED a pov past book one…

the smartest thing to do in regards to an AVoS rewrite is to add a windclan pov in the fallout of darktail and onestar’s drama… my heart says heathertail ❤️ but there’s probably an apprentice from this generation we can give something to that might make more sense… maybe crowfeather’s featherpaw??? First of all, I'M REALLY SORRY I TOOK 3 WEEKS HERE OH MY GOD!

I've been putting off answering so long partially because it's a long ask, which at times make me feel like I'm about to get yelled at and partially because uh hi? This is like the first time we interact. I think you're a really cool guy! Love your thoughts a lot and I enjoy you live reading the series!

ANYWAY, ANYWAY, onto the questions!

First of all, I have two friends at least who'd be willing to fight you on being the sole AVoS enjoyer.

Secondly, I'm digging this a lot for the stuff I'm going for! I certainly think that the back and forth in the Spark and Alder dynamic is something to touch upon. Once again I admittedly didn't make it past the halfway point in AVoS mostly because I find the guy boring but you make a good point.

I also think Twig and Violet definitely have to be a big thing. I don't think I've really gotten to where I think the meat of their arc is, but just with The Kin's stuff there's a lot I could potentially work with in regards to familial separation, the yearning for belonging, and how the way Clans conduct politics screws people over.

Now that I'm thinking about it, this seems like prime material for something to be brought up towards the back end of the arc in the reconstruction period and backfill with side content while the front part is centered on those WindClan PoVs you asked...

YES! HEATHERBREEZE BABIES! I feel like it could be a really good tie-in to the previous arc to move some of the content of Crowfeather's Trial, another book I haven't read, and what that one was attempting to do re:redeeming Breezepelt.

Smokehaze and Brindlewing could make for good contrasting perspectives storytelling as well as giving an insight into how The Kin drama is being felt on WindClan. I may also either move the epicenter of the action closer to them or do like Bones and have their takeover center WindClan directly. Also, it's good to have more female characters to balance out the roster.

I'm deliberating as to whether also to lump them in with Woodsong and Appleshine. A 4-character dynamic gets a bit complex for what should be the space of the first half of the arc, but I'm fond of large litters. Part of my motivation of brainstorming this rewrite thing is to take the most full advantage I can of writing for a species in which multiple births are the norm. And we simple have not gotten enough huge litters. I won't be at peace until I get my ridiculous 7-kit litter. Kill most of them to fading syndrome almost immediately if you must but I want them dammit!

Though on the other hand even though I'm fascinated by dynamics of multiple births and such I'm also wanting to find more opportunities to explore the other forms of siblinghood I've established in the worldbuilding and siblings with age differences between them. And while in future arcs they'd end sidelined I'm just really intrigued about the potential of Wood and Apple as side-content characters with their arc focusing in their relationship to their older sisters. Kind of similar to what I'm really itching to do with Fernsong, Sorrelstripe, and Hollytuft in the OotS-AVoS timeskip, but older siblings instead of them and the role models and parental figures in their lives.

Does anyone remember the website that came out like a few years ago (2018-2022) that had awesome really high resolution rendering of dynamic processes in animal and plant cells. It had a great interface, you could zoom in and out and also select various bioprocesses to visualize. I am not sure which country exactly the scientists belonged to, but I think they were Swiss. But please take this last specification with a grain of salt.

The Bishop's and Their Weapons

I'm pretty split 50-50 on whether the base weapons each belong to a Bishop or if they all belong to Narinder. He definitely fits the bill for the descriptions (he's a Crusader, an Apostate, a traitor, and splitter of skulls), but he's only halfway there on the Tempest front. He's missing the part where he calms the storm in his heart and realizes forgiveness is the path forward. He sort of gets there by the time you complete all his follower-quests, but by then all his siblings are dead by his machinations and suffering for eternity lol (well, until Lamb frees them)

And if they are all Narinder's weapons, that begs the question, why didn't Kudaai make the other Bishops weapons?

So, here's the weapon I think each Bishop wielded and why.

Narinder - Crusader's Blade "Stalwart companion to the wandering warrior,"

Kind of obvious, it's the first weapon Lamb starts with. But if you really want me to prove it, Aym and Baal were guided and shaped solely by Narinder. One's a wanderer, and one's a warrior.

Heket - Apostate's Clever "A mighty tool of unstoppable brutality,"

Heket is well known for her brutality, and it is in her brutality that she forgets herself and what she is meant to uphold. One can be an Apostate and not realize/accept it (by misconstruing the word of god(s)) and she is riddled with the marks of godly suffering. This would also give her the role of an Executioner, which feels fitting.

Leshy - Warmaker's Hammer "Splinterer of skulls,"

War may be Shamura’s domain, but not only are they not shown to be the type of sadistic being who'd use a blunt-force object to kill, slow and heavy doesn’t really fit their fighting style. They come at you hard and fast in their boss fight. A hammer like this isn't really meant to be a weapon (not even the Godly Hammer's intended use is combat), so to use one anyways is chaotic and unorthodox. Leshy boasts of himself as powerful, and he is physically. You can see the way his temple shakes and the ground crumbles before him.

Kallamar - Tempest's Gauntlets "An iron fist from which none can escape,"

I can't help but notice that Kallamar is the only one who keeps his hands when he powers-up. That aside, gauntlets are defensive gear first, and weapons second. Feels fitting that the guy that doesn't actually want to fight would take up armor instead of an actual weapon. I would also consider his fight akin to a violent, intense storm. Thematically, he fits the role of the Tempest well. His passive nature was taken advantage of and led to him being unfairly betrayed, he seems to be an exile himself (where are all the squids??), and though terrified of Narinder and the Red Crown, specifically calls out that he didn't want him cast out. ((which could've been a lie, but the damage Narinder inflicts on him is SUPER minor compared to everyone else))

Shamura - Traitor's Razor "Never given, only taken,"

Fits their fighting style (quick and close) and their personality (doesn't start fights, but will finish them). Whatever the objective reason was for the conflict with Narinder, and whether or not Narinder's imprisonment was justifiable, Shamura sees themselves as a traitor. They take the blame for giving Narinder "ideas of change" and for having him chained, and the Seal of the Bishops would imply that they found the Resurrection Ritual and made it a doctrine. And they also see it fit that Narinder punishes them in Purgatory.

There is also the overall dynamic of Shamura and Narinder being the only ones with real weapons. The other's items can be used as weapons, yes, but their primary use isn't combat. Hence why they're so fucking bad at it when Lamb comes knocking on their doors.

Shamura and Kallamar could be swapped, as they're both close-range fighters. Kallamar throws his siblings under the bus to try to save his own skin, but the first thing he does when recruited is call out to them. Traitor Behaviour. The Tempest is also someone who studied alchemy (which for the time, would be equivalent to someone wise). Shamura's guilt surrounding the imprisonment of Narinder could very well be because they acted out of malice. I feel like "forgiveness" would warrant freeing him, but it might just be out of their hands at this point. Their sending of Aym and Baal was incredibly recent (about 50 years ago), so perhaps their consideration of how Narinder may feel is apart of their forgiveness.

favorite thing about them: LITERALLY WHERE DO I EVEN START. She's one of my top ten protagonists of all times. I love the lessons she learns, the way she learns them, I love watching her grow and struggle and thrive. I love her so so so much. To keep things simple(ish) I will say that my favorite thing about Luz (which I've mentioned once or twonce before) is that she's an objectively cringey, very ND coded kid who's still given the utmost love and respect from the narrative. She gets to be objectively fucking uncool and this story still loves her. And it's nice it makes me feel loved by proxy

least favorite thing about them: I mean, I'd say in season 1 it's the tendency to flatten the boiling isles and it's people into 2 dimensional tropes for easily comprehension, but that's also one of my favorite flaws of Luz and the narrative always makes an interesting point out of this attitude. Maybe it's the suicidal ideation bc it really scared me the first time I watched thanks to them. I knew nothing bad was gonna happen (within reason), this is Disney, but I was like DAMN THEY'RE GOING THERE!!!

favorite line: okay I actually cannot in good conscious choose one bc my friend once informed me that me and Luz just. Talk the same. Same silly idioms and phrases same whimsical expressions and syntax same humour, etc etc. It's a chicken egg situation and do not know who started it but I know that it's frighteningly accurate. So I'll just go for the safe classic "the only thing I've ever really wanted was to be understood" bc. Y'know. Best moment in the whole show and everything

nOTP: Luz and Hunter. It's just really not for me, even if I can see why it appeals to others. I'm too attached to the familial reading of their dynamic and the doors that opens up analysis wise. Also my irl brother is a hunter kinnie and I just outlined my credentials for being a Luz kinnie so /j

random headcanon: she played guitar when she was younger! The one in the basement belonged to Manny and he'd sit her on his lap and show her simple chords and riffs. She got a ukulele so she could practice. Then when Manny died she fell off playing it bc it felt wrong doing it without him, even though she still played uke sometimes. She picks it back up though during the season 3 timeskip and post canon! Also she was born in New York and lived there til she was 2/3, at which point she moved around a few states until landing in Connecticut at the age we see in the thanks to them video diaries (I wanna say 7 or 8?)

unpopular opinion: I also think Luz gets characterized as more bitter/vengeful/surly than she really is, especially in fics set around season 3. She wants to be happy, to have fun with her friends, she just feels like doesn't deserve it. Also I low-key think Luz is like. A genius. Just in an unconventional way. She rediscovered a lost form of magic and then taught herself it all on her own. She probably struggles with long division but I mean it when I say she is literally a genius imo
