RISUMI AKATSUKI, the demon slayer corps' current wisteria hashira.
a kindhearted and tender person who is widely regarded as the corps' unofficial big sister. her polite and soft manner, almost comparable to that of kagaya ubuyashiki himself, endears many of her peers, leading to her being quite universally liked. though it is hard to feel adequate in her presence, her juniors cannot help but feel motivated when she watches them train and encourages them as she does so—"you've got this, sweetheart. keep working hard, okay? no-one becomes skilled overnight. do not be discouraged. it matters not how many times you fall; what is important is that you get up again every time you are knocked down. breathe, rise to your feet, and try again."

✧ I: GENERAL.
risumi, known to her family as 'mimi,' is a kindly and gentle young woman aged 19 with short white hair as soft and full as clouds and slightly downturned maroon eyes. though the way she carries herself is delicate, under her uniform hides pure muscle refined through years of rigorous training. it is said that the haori draped over her shoulders, various swirling shades of purple with a white trim, once belonged to her mother. a long, jagged scar runs along the length of her neck, oftentimes hidden away by her collar; the occasional glimpse caught of it tends to lead to questions, but risumi prefers not to talk about it, and the corps members do not pressure her to. it is rumored that not even all of the other hashira know exactly what happened. secrets do not stay secrets forever, however. the truth will come out one day, but for now, risumi is content never sparing so much as another thought to the cause of her scar.
she is the moon on a cloudless night, an ever-present guiding light for the lower ranked demon slayers and even sometimes for her fellow hashira. though it could be said that the long nights are any demon's ally, with risumi present, it is hardly true—the corps' tranquil moon battles using a breath style that resembles the very thing that deters demons. her breath style is wisteria breathing, created by her mother and derived from flower and wind breathing. regardless of how closely allied demons are with the night, the moon will always ally with the corps in the form of risumi.
✧ II: HISTORY.
over twenty years ago, risumi's mother—rin—held the position that her daughter currently does. rin was known among her peers for being fierce and temperamental, and it was perhaps those traits that were her greatest weakness; a battle with upper moon one, driven largely by her rage and disgust at the path he had chosen in life, left her critically injured. though she survived and recovered, her body never returned to the way it was before, and she was no longer capable of performing her duties as a hashira. she was therefore forced to retire early at the age of twenty-five. her husband, katsuo, a promising hinoto, retired alongside his wife to care for her.
it took quite some time for rin to adjust and settle down. once she did, her heart became set on a new goal—though no longer as strong as she once was, rin desired to prioritize building and bonding with her family now that she was no longer a hashira. katsuo shared this wish.
the two already had one three-year-old daughter named yuzuki, who was largely tended to by those who worked at her estate. now retired, rin and katsuo were more than happy to spend more time with her.
a year later, the eldest son, yuto, was born. it was at this point that katsuo began to attempt teaching yuzuki the art of the blade, given that she had recently turned four, but he was quick to realize just how frail she was. it was clear as day to him; his eldest daughter's fragility could not be attributed to her age. her body was not strong enough to handle his training, and he did not dare push her any more than he already had. yuzuki was then taught by her mother—who was still learning herself—about how to handle household affairs. from domestic things like laundry to financial responsibilities such as managing the household's yen, yuzuki learned it all with her mother right by her side, learning along with her. the experience caused the two to grow extremely close.
when yuto was old enough to hold a blade, he too began to learn the art of the sword from his father. yuto was clumsy and nervous, but his body was in better condition than his sister's, so katsuo saw no issue with increasing the rigor of his training. he showed great promise, and his father was not keen on letting his potential slip by untouched.
a year after yuto began to train, when he was five, risumi was born. like those before her, risumi would begin to train with her father once she became of age.
two years following her birth, risumi's younger sister and tsuguko to-be, kana, was born. she—no different than her other siblings—would also begin training at the age of four.
risumi's relationship with her father was quite rocky growing up—he was always tough on her, yuto, and kana, and she hated how cruel of a trainer he could be. her little sister would often end up crying to her over the painful bruises she would receive during practice. often times, risumi would be caught attempting to sneak away to her cousins' house. each time, however, she was caught and severely reprimanded by her father for making such irresponsible decisions, especially when she made her attempts at night.
'you know what is out there, risumi,' he would snap. 'don't be stupid. you'll get yourself fuckin' killed.'
yuto and risumi's training went on for years, but the former's... stopped, unexpectedly halted due to a problem that hadn't even been considered:
despite all the work he had done his entire life, upon faced with his first nichirin blade at the age of thirteen, yuto could not change its color. as disappointing as it was, yuto did not quit. rather than completely neglecting to join the corps, he chose to join the kakushi and has since been working as a skilled healer among them who also happens to have practical martial arts skills. years of training does not magically dissipate upon being unable to change one's blade color, after all.
risumi's training went on, as did her anger towards her father and her frequent escape attempts.
it wasn't until the age of fifteen that she grew to understand his actions.
at thirteen, risumi had successfully joined the corps, turning her blade a lilac color once she received it. she worked dutifully for two years, slaying demons with great poise and skill.
one day, when she was away from home on a mission more distant than usual, disaster struck.
a demon slipped onto estate grounds and slaughtered yuzuki before rin could behead it. once she did, however, her body was wracked with immeasurable pain and she was bedridden for weeks following the incident. at the time, rin was also carrying her final child.
(which unexpectedly turned out to be children, a set of fraternal twin boys named haruto and haruki.)
it was then that risumi understood her father, and though her rage toward him did not completely dissipate all at once, it began to lessen.
he was only a man who wanted to see his children live.
from that day forward, risumi resolved to never let another member of her family be stolen away by demons again.
...but unfortunately, risumi could not possibly be everywhere at once.
at the age of seventeen, risumi received the news that a demon had brutally killed her younger cousin, yuichiro tokito. his twin was being tended to at the master's estate, and risumi was told that she was more than welcome to come see him, if she so desired.
she was heartbroken to find that he did not recognize her, but it did not deter her nor her kindness. risumi helped muichiro stand on his own again, and she was more than happy to aid him in training to join the corps—for this, muichiro was grateful. despite not recalling her, his heart knew. it recognized the doting and kind older cousin that used to braid his and his brother's hair, that used to run away from her house at night to come see them, that used to sneak them extra snacks even if her aunt had already lightheartedly scolded her about spoiling them with so many treats.
it recognizes mimi, and though he may not, he trusts his instincts.
he knows mimi, and he will remember her one day. but for now... she is content just being the unfamiliar but gentle guiding light in his darkest moment.
kagaya ubuyashiki had asked her many times to become a hashira. she politely rejected each offer, but when it came up once again shortly following muichiro's arrival at the master's estate, she could no longer think of any reason to reject it.
shortly following the loss of one of her cousins, risumi killed her first kizuki with ease.
it was lower moon six, but a lower moon nonetheless. when offered the promotion once again, risumi could no longer refuse under the guise of 'not being strong enough.'
that day, the vacant wisteria hashira position was finally filled again.
✧ III: PERSONALITY.
risumi is unwaveringly kind and gentle in all that she does—there are even times in which her slaughter of demons is gentle, because risumi recognizes that while they should be held accountable for their vile actions, demons are not inherently evil. demons start off as humans, and risumi truly believes that evil is not inherently written into humanity. many demons are victims as well. she recognizes and respects this.
her kindhearted, patient, and graceful nature is often something people admire, and for good reason. it enables her to look at situations with objectivity and wisdom. furthermore, her serenity is a valuable tool in battle—very few things get underneath risumi's skin, and she is very hard to rile up. her virtual constant state of clarity makes her a formidable foe and ally in battle.
mimi, however, is imperfect as all humans are. getting under her skin and disrupting her clarity is difficult, not impossible.
talking about her family—particularly those that she failed to protect—is a particularly effective way of doing so. she is fiercely protective of those that she loves, but ferocity is not always a good thing.
after all, it was that very trait that destroyed her mother. it will destroy her too if she is not cautious.

What, you might ask, is an abhisecana (or abhisheka) rite?
As I understand it, it’s an initiation rite for a practitioner who is advancing in their study of the Dharma. In some Buddhist schools, including Shingon—the school from which Tachikawa-ryu, Kiara’s school, branches off (which we don’t know much about, because it’s long-dead IRL and was subject to political book burnings, but that’s another story—this rite involves a student being assigned to a bodhisattva, whose teachings and/or qualities they will study to guide their development and give them direction.
Rather than let a student choose a bodhisattva based on their preconceptions at the time of the ritual, they are blindfolded and cast a flower onto a mandala—like the womb realm mandala, shown below—and whoever it lands on, that’s who they go with.

But Kiara is, as always, encouraging living beings to give up their heavenly aspirations—to cast their flower instead on the mandala of the realm of desire. Let it fall where it may—chase whatever vice or illusion your whims take you to.

ive been into time loops lately idk what it is about them that just has me so. RRRRRRRRR.
anyways this is myrelle/c-311 and shes a silly little LOSER who got backrooms'd into the pressure universe from classic era roblox and is now stuck in a time loop of which there seems to be no end (spoiler the escape criteria is freeing everybody from the blacksite like its some un/dert/ale pacifist type shit not that anybody involved knows that yet) and she and sebby are friends besties even(?) friendsies.

'C-311 is a resident not of this reality. A Robloxian citizen of the early 2000's, C-311 had one day tripped and no-clipped from one world to the next by chance. Mere days after entering this new realm, C-311 was arrested and falsely convicted of murder, having been mistaken for the true culprit and sentenced harshly. 93 days into her sentence, her cellmate forged her signature for 'The Expendable protocol', not wanting to partake themselves but also wishing to be rid of the 'nuisance' in their cell. Having minimal option and seeing the perks of success, she ended up accepting her circumstances and departing with Urbanshade employees, hoping to perhaps find the time to find a way back home. She would come to regret this decision, as she would be killed early on into the expedition. Yet, she would then have a strange 'dream' post-mortem before awakening back on that day, just hours prior to the expedition- with all memory of the beings that lurked intact. Not even this knowledge could quell the ever-present terror. An un-ending nightmare, things would merely repeat. However… she would soon learn that even escape proved futile. Luckily for her, she wasn't the only one trapped, memories of the incessant loop untouched.'

Z-13 { The Saboteur / Sebastian Solace } : 'Sebastian viewed her like any other expendable initially, however, became suspicious upon experiencing a time-reset of sorts upon her first death. This suspicion grew with the deaths, him quickly linking the time-resets to the deaths. This suspicion then became coupled with annoyance and irritation as these deaths intervened with his search for an escape from the Blacksite- due to any research he'd gain being revoked upon reset, essentially sending him back to square one every time. He did NOT like how this seeming little coward, someone who was nothing like the typical criminals who passed, was the difference between progress and a total halt in any plans. Even worse, there was nothing he could do about it. If he killed her himself- a reset. If he tried to snatch her up, her PDG would be detonated immediately. If she escaped, he'd most likely be trapped forever. As nice as a challenge was, this was not that. It was just impossible!
However, a good chunk of this irritation was quelled upon finally meeting her face to face. (Not all of it, obviously.) She was quick to recognize him from those post-mortem 'dreams', and upon learning that he was also privy to the time loop became immensely apologetic. She was thankful for the information he'd been giving her regarding the monsters lurking, and to his surprise, was more than willing to turn over ALL of his data scavenged, even if there was nothing in return. Though, it was rather pointless if any deaths reset everything anyway. He pondered that he could keep the data if she lived, but if she escaped the Blacksite, then, again, his time could very well run out just as quickly as she would depart. C-311 felt awful knowing Sebastian was trapped down there, and was stuck in such an impossible situation- and naively decided that she wanted to help free him and anyone else down there that could be helped. Not the brightest light-bulb, if she couldn't immediately realize there would be no safe way back down for her once she left. He wasn't sure how to take the hopeful declaration that there was always a way. Oh, how naive. Knowing he couldn't kill her anyway, he bitterly resigned that his future escape just became much more difficult, opting to send her on her way. When the crystal was eventually retrieved and the power shut off, his bitterness returned. The power eventually returned, and he braced for the worst. Yet, that bitterness was replaced with shock when, soon enough, another reset occurred. There was no death, this time.
The next time Sebastian and C-311 encountered one another, the expendable was in a frenzy, frantically explaining that even ESCAPE ended in a reset. He was flabbergasted at this. What the hell was going on??? What did any of that even mean? Why was this happening? However- this could be a good thing. This meant that maybe, he had time! If there were no consequences save for a reset upon death or escape for C-311, they could use that to their advantage! The expendable was quick to jump on-board, offering to help Sebastian any way he could in his plans to escape. From there, their alliance began, going on strong even if there were ups and downs to the situation at hand. A lot of experimentation had to be done as to what they could get away with before C-311 would die, or how far she could go post-escape before resetting. Though, as time went on, the two grew from mere allies to friends.'
Sebastian is intrigued about this little weirdo. Its a miracle to him that he hasn't been nabbed for experimentation by Urbanshade. Her antlers seem to phase through walls and ceilings, as though they aren't a tangible object. Yet, they're obviously solid to the touch. She can 'glitch' on and through various surfaces (her words), but only at certain corners and wall setups- and depending on the 'glitch' she ends up briefly stunned in some capacity. Even stranger, she can 'equip' and 'unequip' items as if its a game, and if done fast enough and facing a thin wall makes her clip right through. And, back home, people could apparently 'reset' and 'respawn', rendering death mostly useless. He's glad she's smart enough not to demonstrate anything outside of SCRAMBLER range, knowing that they'd probably be taken for experimentation if caught on CCTV. She can make computer noises and other strange SFX, but it seems he (and one other person are)/is the only one(s) who can notice it (and can somehow understand her?)
Oddities and quirks aside, she's one of the more respectful expendables, one who is nowhere near as irritating as the rest. She actually respects his boundaries, is cooperative, and kind. Even if she's on the more sensitive side, she handles his sass and snark well, and has a silly streak that mirrors his energy. Plus, when she appears with other expendables, she actually tries to hold them back from harassing Sebastian. Of course, you can't save everyone, but he does his best and is somehow mostly unbothered any time Seb ends up killing one (Perhaps the time loop is getting to her head?). He had given up on most people, but C-311 is like a weird, endearing little light in the dark.
Z-779 { p.AI.nter } : Another individual C-311 wishes to help free. Upon discovering the documents regarding him, she was mortified at what she learned, and enraged on his behalf. Due to a lack of recollection regarding the time loop, cooperation is made extremely difficult. Sebastian would need to tell p.AI.nter of C-311's assistance every time a reset occurred, which became extremely redundant at some point. C-311 opts to just try her best to evade death from fake doors, speaker hijacking and turrets as a result. She does not encounter p.AI.nter face to face often.
Z-96 { "Good People" } : C-311 vaguely pities the workers that compose this mass of flesh, knowing they were consumed without remorse or chance to escape. However, due to the fact that many people smashed into this glob were Urbanshade employees, her sympathy is low. She is glad they choose to hide in fake rooms- such a monster is terrifying to her.
Z-367 { Pandemonium } : A monster that, understandably, fills C-311 with immense fear. Any time she encounters Z-367, she departs drained and in shambles. Having to fight off such a thing in the suffocating confines of a locker never fails to inflict extreme anxiety and paranoia.
Z-317 { Eyefestation } : A monster that somehow does not faze C-311 much. Knowing she is in another world, she is not as susceptible to any manipulation via vocal mimicking telepathy- though there are times she feels herself about to break to this. Due to the communication possible through this telepathy, he tries to soothe Z-317 with thoughts that he is not their enemy, nor does he want them harmed- but this seldom works as they are too focused on revenge for their experimentation. On the occasion that this does work, Z-317 merely watches C-311 go through the room with intrigue, though she does not look into their eyes either way. Nobody is immune to radiation!
Z-90 { Wall Dwellers } : A monster that fills C-311 with immense fear and terror. Being the paranoid type, this entity is one of her absolute worst nightmares. The mere idea of something being in the walls- watching, stalking- it fills her with dread. She tends to stay glued to Sebastian any time she reaches him due to this, needing long breathers to cope with its mere existence in the facility dragging her down. In the presence of other expendables, she copes much, MUCH better. Loneliness is her kryptonite, mentally- but the paranoia Z-90 inflicts makes her less susceptible to attacks due to her constantly watching her back.
Z-V06 { Void Mass } : A monster that fills C-311 with unease. The idea of being trapped in a locker with those things, digested alive, is horrifying. She's cautious around lockers due to them, especially when alone- so she is mostly safe on that front.
Z-283 { The Angler } : A monster that inflicts anxiety. However, due to its lack of sight, evasion is easy enough. She is careful to avoid straying too far from lockers.
[ Froger ] : Same as the default Angler- but with an added nervousness at her rebounds. C-311 stays glued to lockers until her 3rd round, always.
[ Chainsmoker ] : Same as default Angler- but with an extreme added anxiety due to the green smoke it spews, akin to that of Paranoia's Box. She tries to be as patient as possible with it, but its hard when the smoke triggers her fight or flight so quickly when in lockers.
[ Pinkie ] : Same as the default Angler- but with an added anxiety due to the lack of warning signs. C-311 does not like straying far from safety solely because of her. Even a moment out in the open could mean death from her.
[ Blitz ] : Same as the default Angler- but with an added anxiety due to just how fast the damn thing is.
S-Q { Squiddles } : For some reason, C-311 finds all instances of S-Q cute. Yes, even when agitated (most of the time.) Of course she's going to startle and jump if she's caught off guard by one, but something about them is just so... silly, to her.
Vultus Limunaria { Searchlights } : She dreads any encounter with the Searchlights, especially following the Ridge. C-311 isn't the best swimmer, so you could guess why- as you'd need quick reflexes to hide if its lights approached. She has been hooked by it once- and it was one of the most painful experiences she'd had down there (if you exclude any deaths from Z-367, Z-90 or the Z-V06.)
Z-538 { Abstract Art } : It freaked her out initially, but upon learning they were completely harmless, she now merely vibes with them.
Z-432 { Limited-Time Imaginary Friend } : As nice as having a friend would be down there, that is just NOT it. Her disconnected and random statements trigger her paranoia, even if the words have nothing to do with her environment. No matter how gentle or soothing a voice may be, being told something's coming when nothing is is a gut wrenching experience- especially if you suffer from paranoia. One time using the remote was more than enough.
Mr. Lopee : An entity she has not encountered or noticed the presence of before. Despite his potential involvement in the grand scheme of things, she is left clueless.
Styx : An entity she has only ever encountered once. Upon opening the door and being jumpscared by it, she not only screamed so loud that a nearby Z-V06 was practically startled from its locker, but she stumbled backwards, tripped, and fell through a massive hole in the room, down a connected cavern and to her death. One of his more embarrassing deaths. (And as much as Sebastian could or would want to mock them for said death, he probably would have met the same fate had he encountered the damn thing so close to en environmental hazard)

guy who used to be the star of the show. him and omega were The Ghouls for so long. bringing home the bacon. the ghouls everyone looked up to. they were the prom kings. and now omega is a recluse and alpha is a bitter, angry old man (until swiss gets to him anyway. he looked at the most angry fucked up guy and went I Can Fix Him. and everyone around him was like Please Don't. and swiss went. I'm Gonna Fix Him.)
anyways. alpha wasnt always so angry. he didnt always react to everything with aggression, it's just that over time, there was too much change and he didnt know how to deal with it. and in his relationship with omega he first was afraid that omega would leave him, and then became obsessed with the idea. he became possessive and the fear always came out of his mouth as violence.
and then the clergy replaced him. and omega DID leave him. and he was alone and his broken heart grew thorns to protect himself. if he lashes out at anyone who approaches him, he won't ever have the opportunity to get hurt again.

I’m always in and out of mega man circles and lore is a subject I’ve come to loathe sometimes as I enjoy the lore in this series but the gatekeeping was unreal over a series that didn’t have anything planned out-like most old video games trying to establish lore-so alterations to canon should be acceptable next to “aus exist for a reason” but maybe it’s just cause the fandom as is doesn’t like/give star force a chance, I wish low key people would be more accepting of the idea of “turning the FM-Ians into robots akin to the Stardroids” because that would be such a raw concept for them to still exist in the robot timeline but as more space alien robots we never saw but I know people would get hissy at this idea not being “canon” when this doesn’t invalidate the network timeline, it’s just saying “what if these aliens both coexist” (cause I also fuck with the stardroids also being FM-Ians or space Navis if duo.exe can exist, but I feel like someone would’ve done that by now but definitely hasn’t done this idea)

my current project: jump forever!

this is the first of those scheduled posts i mentioned earlier!!! i figured i would start by talking about my current project - that way i can start posting updates about it without confusing you, Michael. The next post is gonna be about the beginning of this whole Godot thing i've been on, and then i'm thinking about maybe doing a Before Godot post as a bonus once i've talked about all my godot stuff (i love saying this as if anybody cares (besides you, Michael)). setting all that aside, though: this one's gonna need some backstory, so you should buckle in.
around this time last year, me and my little cousin (he's still in high school, but we've always been pretty close) got really competitive about a little game called Jump Forever. it's a side minigame from WarioWare Mega Microgames (the GBA one) where you just jump over a little rope until you fuck up. it's really fucking fun as an addictive little mobile game, and with a quick lil emulator it was one. thus, the addiction began.

truth be told, the phase last year didn't even last that long, but i had a long bus ride a couple of weeks ago and found myself opening the GBA emulator on my phone to pass the time. that led to a little bit of playing at home, which led to beating my cousin's score, which led to getting even more into the game than i was before. as our scores get higher, we've turned to better controllers than a phone touch screen for serious record attempts - i use a ds lite i had lying around (that i reshelled! it was very fun) and he emulates on pc with a controller (i think). this got me thinking about a potential "definitive edition" of the game - probably still on mobile, but with controller support, better touch controls (the game only needs <-, ->, and A!), faster resets, selectable skins, and maybe even unlockable skins? of course, when i finished my work on fnaf (ooh foreshadowing), my sights were immediately set on a Jump Forever remake.

with all that said, welcome to the game as it currently stands! at the moment, i've got wario, the rope swingers, and the score all just about set up, with one exception; the characters have collision, the rope swings (at varying speeds, even!), and wario's speed and physics feel very accurate - but i'm still working on the ai (if you can call it that) of the rope guys as they walk back and forth. i want it to work exactly the same way as it does in the original but i always overthink random mechanics like this. hopefully the next update i give will be about how i cracked it! even if the implementation ends up jank, though, it wouldn't be the first: the rope guys check if wario is too close to them to make it over the rope with an Area2D that just checks for wario when the rope hits the ground. it works! i could just like check wario's position in the code (and it'd probably be way more efficient), but this way just... works.
i still have a buncha crap i still gotta implement before the game's even really playable - the walking ai, the title screen, the little "Ready?" animation, etc. - but that's only the beginning of my work. firstly, i'm probably gonna enlist chloe (oooh foreshadowing) to help me out by drawing some new assets (if she's free, it is finals season), and then changing the game's native resolution from 240x160 (the GBA screen) to something not fucking insane. i've got "reworking all the sprites into easy to read spritesheets" on my to-do list, and after that, making the new assets (and then maybe the skins?) will be as easy as drag & drop. once it's got the new assets and all the polish that needs to come with a shiny new resolution, i'm gonna transition into the next phase - researching how to release a game!!!
[hi, not to ruin my own amazing transition but: it's 5am and i'm running back to edit this because i completely forgot to mention that i have currently implemented a 2 frame input delay on all inputs, because that's how the emulator appears to behave when i go frame by frame. every single day i rethink this decision more and more. surely there's no way that's how it's supposed to be, right? but i feel so weird changing it now!!! i definitely fucking have to though. next time i work on it. ok anyways]
now. i've posted games to itch.io before. but even then, i kind of fucked it up (i could never get the resolution of my web games to work right???) - so it's no surprise i've always been completely daunted by the idea of "releasing a game". when you post it on real stores, that's when it becomes... real. i'm excited about the new challenges it'll pose, though! now, a mobile release means a couple of things - bite sized fun, simple progression, and fun customization. i've already got the first part nailed down, and i figured i could nail the other 2 at once with a currency system based on how many points you get (or maybe even an xp system? that goes up 1 for each jump? maybe even both???) and skins (purchasable with said currency) that let you customize the player, rope swingers, background, and maybe even the rope itself.

pictured above is my stupid ass skins mockup (i literally just made this). the rope is rainbow, the background has a snow effect and a bunch of snow on the trees/ground (isn't it great?), wario is a lil version of the rope guys, and the rope guys have santa hats. i'm not sure how many different ropes you could really make with how i'm planning the rope to move, so i'll probably end up prototyping the graphics with chloe to figure out how to lay out the sprite sheets, and if they should actually have a seperate hand-grabbing-the-rope sprite for skin purposes. it'll definitely make things really confusing, but if i go for a mobile release i don't want to run ads, and so a currency you can buy with real money (and maybe one or two goofy supporter skins that cost real money, like a solid gold guy or something, as a form of donation) is a good way to make a lil bit of money from people who like the game.
all of this is fun to think about, but it's important to remember that the next thing i have to do is that walking ai. i've gotta Make The Fucking Game before i can do all this crazy other bullshit. i'm sure the ui design for all this is gonna be soooo fun, but i need a game to attach it to first :p
this went on reeeally long but i figure if this is a dev diary or w/e it's gonna end up running long no matter what, and the more info, the more i have to look back on fondly and say "oh shit, i know exactly when this was!", which is kind of the end goal of the project. of course, these incredibly long posts about shit that only matters to me are also incredible content for you, Michael, so i'm sure you're just eating this shit up. enjoy, you weird little man.
