I love seeing other people's interpretations of how werewolves work for their own stories, how some treat it like an illness or a curse of some kind
Then i look back to me and my friend's fantasy universe where the werewolves are basically just generically furries-
#it's always so fucking funny to me#i love it so much#for anyone curious werewolves in my story are a result of a genetic mutation humans developed after being in contact with magic for so long#it's called the howling gene and when inherited in a recessive patterns it makes it so that the person turns into a werewolf#when they reach adulthood#tho some can be like early bloomers or whatever the term is#there's nothing wrong with them they're not violent or need to kill to live they're just people who are dog looking#oc#oc story#werewolf#luminous fragments#lf#hyena ramblings

these violent delights.
dialogue prompts from these violent delights by micah nemerever.
i never told you my name.
who puts those awful ideas in your head?
you're forever assuming the worst.
what's that face? you look like you're going to cry.
you're one of those people who worry all the time, aren't you?
i don't worry, i ruminate. they're distinct actions.
nothing made you. you just are.
beautiful things are supposed to hurt.
people tell you you're shy all the time, don't they?
i don't know how i ever got on without you.
a little trouble is a good thing for a young person.
i wasn't born yesterday. i know what kids get up to.
it's good to have guns to stick to.
you could do anything to me and i'd let you.
i'm not ready to be seen. not yet.
i don't need you to treat me respectfully. i'm not made of glass.
tell me you love me, at least. please. i need to know somebody does.
do i look normal? i can't tell if i look normal.
you can get away with anything, as long as you act like an authority on the truth.
don't tell me what i want.
you know you're just about the worst liar i've ever met.
i don't think you've ever felt anything that didn't hurt you.
you're so square, you're a cube.
i just want you to believe me when i tell you you're worth something.
there are limits to what you can expect people to understand, without living it.
you can't fight everybody all the time. you still have to live with them.
i forget how blue the sky can be outside the city.
i'm going to push you off a cliff, you fucking boy scout.
thank you for trusting me with this.
be a kid while you still can.
please believe in the things i try to tell you, instead of the things you think you deserve to be told.
if the sun touched you for even a moment, you'd go up in flames. like a vampire.
your voice changes when you're angry.
what a lonely, dreary thing it is to know the truth.
you never look away, even when your eyes are closed, but i'm never certain you can see what's really there.
tell me you need me. in those words.
can i tell you something? that i'm all but certain you won't believe?
i never lie to you. but sometimes, i wish i could.
you never let me pretend the truth is alright when it isn't.
you have a profound, elusive sadness about you.
you didn't. please tell me you didn't.
you and your awful little games.
why would i bother to grow my own conscience when you're always around to pester me?
you're going to help me escape.
this house is a shadowbox, never meant for human things.
you have no right to stop me, and you're not going to try.
you're sweet, when you want to be.
do you want me to kill ____? i mean it.
it might do you good to be an orphan.
you're just so sincerely creepy.
wealthy people pay handsomely for the privilege of ignoring cries for help.
i've never seen you like that before. not once.
i've decided to learn to be impulsive.
the worst damage humans do isn't rooted in malice, but in thoughtlessness.
there's such a thing as right and wrong. anyone can figure out the difference if they're willing to think for themselves.
there's no part of you i can't see.
i don't want to hurt you. please don't let me.
you're ridiculous, sometimes. but that's alright.
i don't want you right now. go home.
i'm not like you. i don't even have a shape of my own to hold anything else in place.
i'll never matter the way you do, and you know it.
say what you need to say.
if you say the word 'deserve' one more time, i'm driving us off a bridge.
i've been meaning to talk to you about ____.
i'm worried about what you're getting into.
you don't see me. you can't. you never could.
it's your life. you're entitled to make your own mistakes.
i want you to know you deserve better. you don't have to put up with ____.
you scare the hell out of me. you really do.
you look the same way you always have.
i was worried i'd lost you.
i'll take care of you. i don't need you to be brave.
all i want to do is make you happy, and you're the unhappiest person i've ever met.
i would rather be cruel than weak.
i want you to let me be nice to you today. i don't care if you think you deserve it.
this place looks like somewhere in a jigsaw puzzle.
it's always been real for me. every second.
please don't say anything to my mother.
we can't fix it if you don't tell me what happened.
i'll call you when i can stand the sight of you. don't hold your breath.
hiding the truth is still lying.
i thought you'd finally trust me if you knew i'd kill for you.
i'm just as much of a monster as you are.
i was missing part of myself my whole life, until i met you.
righteous fury leaves no space for fear.
you can always talk to me. about anything, okay? i love you no matter what.
you played [game] in school, didn't you?
no one tolerates boredom worse than the idle rich.
someone needs to be looking after you.
you know you can't actually stop me, right?
i want to be able to look at you.
when you need to, you will understand.
i'm only ever early when i'm afraid.
people talk themselves into the strangest things when they want to look impressive.
in the end, there's no difference between trusting someone and underestimating them.

Limbus Company: Deep Analysis of Sin
So, I decided to take a deeper dive into the different sin types in Limbus Company.
The TLDR Version:
Wrath - Unable to accept something
Lust - Having a strong desire
Sloth - Losing sight
Gluttony - Satisfaction-seeking
Gloom - Controlled by pain
Pride - Contempt of others/selfishness
Envy - Desire to surpass
Regarding the sinners' skills, the sin position is important as well. A S1 sin is a surface-level appearance, but S3 represents something deep inside them.
The detailed explanations are under the cut!
Wrath
Wrath, on the surface level, can present as being irritable or hard to get along with.
Wrath S1 examples
LCB Ishmael, who seems irritable and nitpicky at first.
Seven Heathcliff "Why am I doing this stupid job?"
Hook Office Hong Lu "Don't speak so softly, I'll feel homicidal"
S2 gets closer to how they really feel. The feeling of wrath comes from the feeling of "I can't accept this" - whether it's how they're being treated, how their environment is, etc.
Wrath S2 examples
LCB Heathcliff (past speculation) - Discriminated, mistreated, resenting what's happening to him
LCB Sinclair (past) - I don't want to get prosthetics
W Corp Hong Lu - Bored with his job.
And S3 wrath represents a strong rejection - they won't accept Anything they deem contrary to their own beliefs and ideals. It is a violent refusal.
Wrath S3 examples
N corp identities who are brainwashed - Kill all the dissenters and heretics.
Pequod Ishmael - "It's MY way or the HIGHWAY, god damn it!" (Throws a fit if another ID kills an enemy)
R Corp Ishmael - Hates it to the point she's looking for Singularity information of old R corp
LCB Rodya - I can't accept this armchair revolution and endless poverty. I have to kill this old windbag.
Lust
Lust in this case is a pursuit of something non-physical - a relationship, an ideal, a core element of your self. On the surface level, this can present as really wanting to be something.
Lust S1 Examples
LCB Don Quixote - Wants to become a great Fixer.
W Corp Ryoshu - Wants to be a great artist.
Sous Chef Gregor - Wants to improve his cooking.
S2 is a little stronger than just normal desire. They will willingly hurt other people or trample them to achieve their goal.
Lust S2 Examples
Tingtang Gangleader Hong Lu - Uses violence and is callous to those invading his turf
The One Who Grips Faust - Massacres Sinclair's village to get what she wants
LCB Ryoshu - Her idea of beauty ties in with violence
S3 is a little different - It's desiring something so badly on an existential level. It's pretty much what they live for.
Lust S3 Examples
R.B. Chef Ryoshu - Needs to be one of the Eight. Will stop at nothing to achieve this.
N Corp Heathcliff - Not brainwashed, doesn't really want to be. Wants to preserve his "true self".
G Corp Gregor - After an irreversible transformation, fully believes his reason to exist is to be a killing machine.
Interestingly, both LCB Heathcliff and Hong Lu have a Lust S3.
Sloth
Sloth is inaction, watching from the sidelines, not seeing what is in front of you. This can start with just simply being misguided, believing something to be true when it's not.
Sloth S1 Examples
W Corp Don Quixote - "I am working at a Wing!! CHOO CHOO!! Sally forth!!"
LCB Outis - Her piss-poor act of blind acceptance and obedience.
LCB Meursault - It is simply none of my business if Sinclair hyperventilates and vomits on the floor.
S2 sloth is more purposeful, not taking action when one should or purposefully being ignorant of reality.
LCB Faust - Does not tell Dante and the others a lot of information and doesn't stop sinners from running amok.
LCB Hong Lu - Despite being perceptive, does not seem to register bad situations as bad or react to pain appropriately.
G Corp Gregor - This feels wrong but I'll just continue with it anyway.
S3 sloth is a total loss of vision, not being able to see what's important to them. Losing sight of all they used to desire, and doing nothing about it.
Dieci IDs - Lost their memory and doesn't even remember what was most important to them.
K Corp Hong Lu - Doesn't seem to mind his total loss of freedom and autonomy, despite desiring freedom in other IDs.
LCB Yi Sang - Could not care about anything he once loved or aspired to be, until he was able to gain his wings once more.
Blade Lineage Don Quixote - Once used her strength to fight alongside her comrades, but now kills for purely her own sake.
Gluttony
Gluttony is a desire to be satisfied, whether it's something material or psychological. This can present like greed or selfishness at first sight.
S1 Gluttony Examples
LCB Rodya - "I want meat, I want money, I want to gamble!"
LCB Ryoshu - "Let me smoke. Let me do as I please."
Lantern EGO Don Quixote - Curious about the abnormalities and wanting to know more about them
S2 Gluttony is wanting more at a crucial point in their life, or desiring more than they could chew. It could also mean getting hooked into something or addicted.
S2 Gluttony Examples
LCB Ishmael - "I quit my job, I need something that's not labour hellscape... Hm? That hag can sure talk..."
R Corp Heathcliff - Began deriving enjoyment from killing
N Corp Don Quixote - Didn't even need the brainwashing, got hooked onto the N Corp ideology herself
S3 Gluttony seems to be the final stage of seeking what they desire - being satisfied, even when they shouldn't be.
S3 Gluttony Examples
Tingtang Gangleader Hong Lu - Seems completely happy and enjoying himself
Seven Heathcliff - Actually learned to like his job
W Corp Hong Lu - Doesn't want praise or a raise, just fine with how things are now
Gloom
Gloom represents pain, and how it affects how the person treats their situation or other people. On the surface level, they may appear melancholic or having given up.
S1 Gloom Examples
LCB Yi Sang, LCB Gregor - Self explanatory.
Rosespanner Meursault - Crushed by work
R Corp Ishmael - Headache, pain, does not like it here
S2 Gloom is a moment of despair, when something in their heart was broken. This may also involve guilt and inflicting pain.
W Corp Don Quixote and most W Corp IDs (Except Hong Lu and Ryoshu) - The shocking reveal of what W Corp really is.
N Corp Heathcliff - "What the hell am I even doing??"
Lobotomy EGO Heathcliff - "All my friends are dead."
S3 Gloom can represent letting their pain affect how they treat others. Lashing out, being insensitive to others' pain, or simply giving up and accepting the hurt as inescapable.
W Corp Yi Sang - Abandoned hopes for freedom, just wants it to hurt a little less
G Corp Outis - Knows she cannot escape the unfair treatment
LCB Ishmael - Lashes out and hurts others because she is deeply hurting, making it more painful for her too
Pride
Pride is the belief that they are different from other people, and so the rules don't apply to them. This can seem as arrogance at first, even if they are not actually like that.
S1 Pride Examples
LCB Sinclair - Rich boy 1
LCB Hong Lu - Rich boy 2
LCB Faust - Doesn't hide that she thinks she's better than everyone else
S2 Pride can contain disdain for other people, and believing they are better than those around them. Therefore, their actions can be excused in their eyes.
S2 Pride Examples
LCB Meursault and LCB Outis - Competent and they know it themselves. Outis thinks of her comrades as dirt and points and laughs when they die.
W Corp Ryoshu - Her art comes from chopping up the dead and deformed passengers, doesn't give a single shit about them
LCB Rodya - Believed she was special enough to make a difference and split the hag's skull.
S3 pride goes a step further - their own desires take precedence over anyone else's. They may even see other people's lives as literally the same as a blade of grass. If they want something, they'll trample everything and anything.
S3 Pride Examples
The One Who Grips Faust - Probably doesn't even give a shit about the grand ideology or her minions. Just did it because she could, and wanted to.
The Middle Little Sister Don Quixote - "I can kill anyone who disrespected my organization!"
LCB Ryoshu - Has the littlest regard for human life.
Envy
Envy can start out with the simple desire to surpass someone, to become better than others. To want more than what other people have.
S1 Envy Examples
Tingtang Gangleader Hong Lu - Began wanting to be stronger, to have more power.
LCB Heathcliff - Rich bastards are annoying, they don't deserve it more than I do
Shi Ishmael - Just wants to survive in a world of dog eat dog
S2 envy is the need to be better than what you once were, to surpass yourself and get something accomplished.
S2 Envy Examples
LCB Yi Sang - Bettered his own craft and created the mirror.
Pequod Members - Lay their past self to rest, and opted to hunt the whale.
R.B. Chef Ryoshu - Wants to make better and better pies
S3 Envy is the result of their desire to surpass - or that they have accomplished something, but with a heavy price.
S3 Envy Examples
W Corp Ryoshu - Extremely powerful, but her sword will suck up her health if she doesn't charge it properly.
R Corp Heathcliff - Gained insane power but lost something important to him in the process.
LCB Sinclair - Was able to avoid getting prosthetics but his whole family dead.
Pequod Heathcliff - Managed to get out of the Middle but is covered in scars he can't erase.
I will continue to write more specific theories, but this is how I feel about the sin affinities right now! I'd love to write about EGO and enemies as well soon.

Okay I'm finally doing the rant!
Even if somebody deserves to die (which is not our judgement to make) or needs to die for the safety of others (which is also a difficult judgement to make and must be a last resort) their death is still a tragedy and should never be praised or cheered.
You can believe that somebody's death was a neccessary evil while still understanding that it was evil nontheless. I don't think it's acceptable how many people right now are cheering for others to die. The death of an evil person is just one more person who will never be able to better themself.
I'm just begging people to research things like the French Revolution where the need for justice was turned into a desire for violence and nothing more. I'm asking you to wonder where it ends. Every CEO can be replaced by one with better security. Every politician can be replaced by one with more extreme policies to keep you in line. Your neighbor who works at an insurance company can be replaced by the boss, but her kids will never see their mom again.
Isn't that serious? Isn't that a big deal? Or will your 'great revolution' be carried out without fail, only hurting those with power that truly deserve it? Once all the big bads are gone, who'll replace them? Just another one of their buddies. Unless you take complete control so you and YOUR buddies get to make the unethical decisions! I mean, you've already killed several people to get here, might as well keep killing anyone who threatens your power! Oh- but you'd never do that. You're one of the good people! You've proven your goodness by salivating over the idea of waving a politician's head on a stick! Good people never look for peaceful solutions!
Empathy is just... gone it seems. People who disapprove of violence or question the helpfullness of this 'street justice' aren't thoughtfully debated, they're called 'bootlickers' and 'facists' and told to kill themselves.
You can believe that a system is corrupt and needs reworking without murder being your first choice! Murder should be the last choice! Maybe if you care about a system being changed you should research the system and attack it in ways that won't get people killed.
Stop cheering for murder!
(Oh, and don't bother ranting at me in the comments. I wrote the rant for you to save you the time:)
"Well as an [insert oppressed group here] what you're saying is actually really harmful due to the damage that these bad people cause the world. You don't understand the painful lives people live that make killing other human beings morally justifiable. I'm going to argue that killing people is okay, even though your original argument is towards the mindset of cheering evil acts like murder and thinking of oneself as a hero who can never make evil decisions rather than towards the neccessity of said evil actions. Some people laugh about murder to cope, you abelist! And you're also a hypocrite because you're totally okay with gay disabled people being murdered despite never saying anything that would imply being okay with that! I will continue to project my own beliefs onto you, turning you into a villain until I am pleased with the thought of your violent death! There is nothing wrong with me and I don't need to work through these issues rather than spread them online! I don't know you, but I hate you! Kill yourself, you facist!"
Seriously I could not care less what you comment. If your argument is that murder is good and people should be killed without trial and that I am somehow a bad person for questioning the morals of your belief, then... your opinion kind of means nothing to me..

What if Catalina had a human coworker that genuinely wanted to be her friend? And put themselves between her and demons when they felt it necessary?
You're what she needs.
It doesn't really matter how you ended up working there, you just needed one look at Catalina to know that something was very, very wrong.
It's not even that she's having a hard time as a waitress. Not at all. In fact, she seems plenty capable of defending herself when others holler and attempt to touch the small, voluptuous bat woman. You'd even say she's gleefully violent at times. It's that she never smiles.
Never a true smile, never a genuine look of amusement. You ask about her plans at the end of the day and she always has some variation of "nothing much" prepared. No one calls her, the regulars don't get too close to her, she didn't even seek you out at first, only bothering to teach you the basics of your new job before promptly detaching and doing her own tasks.
Fair, you suppose not everyone is at work to get chummy. After all, she was perfectly polite to you, until it was near closing hours and you could smell the alcohol on her, Catalina would mumble some replies that almost sounded rude, but whatever. You didn't mind, it wasn't your business. Maybe you even let her get away with some things because of how pretty you thought she was.
Your dynamic was dry and strained by the obligatory nature of work.
Until a certain day.
A band of infernal clients walked in. Nothing new to you, but the way Cat immediately tensed and avoided them like the plague was jarring. For the first time ever, she didn't look drained or exhausted or irritated- She looked terrified. You'd notice the scornful glances the woman would sometimes spare halflings or demonic people, but the difference between those moments and this one, was that there were at least five of them together now. Large men with loud voices to match. They seemed perfectly normal, in good moods actually, but she was giving them a deer in the headlights look, frozen, as if they had come to tear her apart.
You realized then that your coworker wasn't just mildly racist, there was history behind her attitude.
In the moment, you merely stepped in front of Catalina and waited the clients yourself, gently calling out her name and suggesting she go eat something inside because she seemed "pale".
She stayed in the back throughout the entire time those demons were hanging around, huddled in a corner, tail between her legs. The woman felt distant, eyes staring off beyond the walls, though her massive ears twitched at every little noise. You'd warn Catalina every time you were coming in and out of the back area, and waited every client until they were gone, letting the bat woman recover.
As soon as they're gone, your coworker rises as if nothing had happened, and easily returns to the prior work rhythm. She doesn't mention a thing, neither do you. At the end of your shift, Catalina looks even drunker than usual, but she manages to waddle her way to you and grab onto the edge of your shirt as she thanks you, gaze averted. She probably wouldn't have made it out of that corner if it wasn't for you.
Curiosity struck you then.
You had to ask. You had to know what was going on.
It didn't take much prodding for her to toss a glass bottle away and start blubbering everything out. She told you who she was before, who she had met in Hell, who bewitched her into a life of immeasurable luxury and who betrayed her as soon as things got serious, as soon as her own child was conceived. Catalina all but soaks your clothes in miserable tears as she chokes past the part of what she had to do, how she had to abandon her own only son and live hidden like a cockroach. How everything is killing her.
The emotional stress, paired with her heavy inebriation, has the woman crying out for her son while you rock her. She sniffles and wails and sobs until there's nothing left, and you realize, Catalina is asleep in your arms.
There was no way you could leave her alone in this state. Which led to a very awkward night where you let her crash on your couch, hear d her get up to vomit in the middle of the night and offered her some meds.
She was gone by the time you were finally able to catch some sleep. You found Catalina back at work, and her demeanor towards you had shifted from night to day.
Nowadays, the woman actually smiles at you with real joy. She chats you up when there are less clients around, helps you with heavier trays, even protects you from some less respectful cat-callers and pervs. In turn, you offer her the company she now desperately seems to crave, and serve all infernal clients on your own.
It's kind of silly how she's started to baby you recently, insisting on fixing your outfit and bringing you stuff she cooks, insisting you need to try it. Catalina even asks why so many people are constantly calling you at work, gets in the middle of conversations with clients as if to gently shoo them. Sometimes it's nice, other times a bit unnecessary.
She asked if you wanted to go watch a movie today. From the franchise on that shirt you sometimes wear before changing into the work uniform. It's very thoughtful of her to remember such a small detail. Of course you're going with her.

Thank you for the tip 🌿
Picture 1
They were a bully weren't they?
A self righteous hero in their narrative. Someone who simply, "says it like it is." But the intentions are your downfall rather than just an act of care or 'tough love' making you second guess yourself constantly. Perhaps a gaslighter or even physically violent/would threaten you as well perhaps.
Some of you may have felt like you'll never be able to progress and move forward in your life and your plans. Some of you feel like a machine sometimes trying to prove your worth but it's never enough.
I keep hearing, "I wanna go. I wanna go. I don't belong here this isn't my place."
For you, rest assured you'll boldly venture into the unknown and succeed.
They however,
Can say goodbye to peace and balance in their life and their health. Constantly struggling internally to the point it starts showing on their face. I think some of these individuals peaked at a certain point of their lives (you know the ones who peak in highschool and think they run the show) I see them reminiscing how they looked like before or the attention they got before. I see them feeling stuck in one place and not being able to make progress. If this is someone who would bully you for your physical looks they'll have a severe glow down. If this is someone who cheated on you then they get a taste of their own medicine but worse. In some cases I'm seeing even more severe loss and maybe even trying to make amends with you because suddenly you're more successful or better off without them. I honestly see a lot of regret on their part but some of them may not have the guts to admit the same.
Picture 2
This may have either been a liar or straight up emotionally abusive and controlling. I do sense some of them have been physically or sexually abusive as well. The image I'm getting is someone treating you like their puppet or thinking they have a right over you.
Some of you may have felt or believed that you can't do better than this neither deserve better than this. They made your question your very worth and reality and you often took pity or emphatized and continued to forgive and go back to them.
I'm also seeing for some, that this could be someone who keeps you around for their convinience like you're their emotional crutch.
For you, there are is a light at the end of the tunnel you've walked out of.
For them,
Literal unseen disruptions that shake the very core of their ego, stability and power. Maybe even their career declining to nothing. Legal troubles as well and finding out that those they have trusted or considered their friends don't really care about them either. For someone so selfish and constantly stuck in their narcissistic victim mindset this would be a heavy blow and all I see them doing is throw a child like tantrum.
Picture 3
I believe you attract jealousy, envy, stalkers and maybe even people who need to match the effort you put for them but find an excuse to slack.
I believe that you are aware of your power, this awareness has come after years of being shunned, talked down on and made fun of.
You may have a list of people adding up (it's giving Kill Bill) who have literally just put you down, taken you for granted, betrayed you and it's all piled up almost because I do see a lot of you are rather forgiving or try to understand the other person.
Oftentimes you can care less because you know if someone does you wrong in any shape or form and it's unwarranted then may God help them.
I don't feel you actively seek vengeance.
You seem like a creative soul, perhaps you channel your pain into art or other things that can benefit you or others. But scars in your heart remain.
For you, I see recognition, fun and good money/stability in life.
For those who have wronged you or wish you harm,
Anxiety, the kind that feels like they are in the middle of a circus show and someone asked them to do the sword swallowing trick at gunpoint. Financial loss, having people backstab them or abandon them.
On a more personal note I see that you get the last laugh in this situation.
Few of you could also be witches? A handful of you I'm seeing. So your words could literally be hexes.

First of all love love love biblically accurate Ghost, second - justice for reader. Is it possible?
I can only imagine how hard she'd be trying to do her best and improve, but trying one's best was never enough for Ghost and she's not an exception.
But what if like one time, a mission goes wrong and the reader is presumed dead since she couldn't have got out of such a dangerous situation alone and alive, right?
Yes, it's unfortunate, but not hearbreaking to Ghost. He knew she was too weak to survive from the start and he's been basically waiting until she inevitably perishes somwhere on the field. Not that he wanted it, he just expected it from the start.
But, surprise surprise, the reader turns up alive. Sure, mangled, scarred, maybe even shot, certainly not unscathed, may she be on the brink of death - but still alive.
And Ghost's brain just kind of. Malfunctions for a second, because how the fuck could that incapable little thing survive on her own without anyone behind her ass?
He certainly wouldn't start liking her, but he'd reluctantly admit - even if not out loud - that maybe she's not as useless as he initially thought.
The look in his eyes Ghost has for a split second when he sees the reader brings a small, almost insignificant feeling of satisfaction to reader, but she's not done. She's just more determined to prove him wrong about her, because if there's one thing more powerful than the need for approval, it's SPITE.
(love your work by the way, having a Simon brainrot if it wasn't obvious already lol 🩵)
so yeah, the next step from utter intolerance outside of a mission (because he definitely talks to you during them, he'd never let personal issues interfere then) would be a reluctant acceptance. not of you, but of your presence.
you haven't broken, even though you looked it as you stumbled in through the safe house they're in.
nothing from his attitude toward you will change until you stop losing in spars. They don't approach you with a killing intent, but the bad guys will.
Get better or get out.
Slowly, the fighting becomes less aggressive tossing and flinging around but more... violent. it's what it seems to you, anyway.
more tactical.
if only you'd look past your hurt feelings to realize that he's teaching you.
teaching you how he fights.
teaching you how to eventually beat him.
learn.
and no, there's no funny ass illogical me throw him over my shoulder cuz i caught him off guard. that man is 6'3-4 and no way he's anything less than 280 lbs.
I squat 175 and feel like my spines getting crushed and that's with evenly distributed weight. Simon's own arm probably feels too heavy. + there's no off guard with a man who lives on his toes and sleeps with one eye open even at base.

I really liked "Luminary Wardance", maybe even more than the main quest from that patch. But I have a problem with Boothill's involvement. As I see it, either the writing was bad for that part even by the HSR's uneven standards, or I'm missing something (which is quite possible, so please correct me if I'm wrong), but that's my problem.
1. Boothill is described as "extremely optimistic and unrestrained. He is a member of the Galaxy Rangers who swore to punish the wretched by any and all means." That little event before his release described some of his crimes: wild, fun, and chaotic; I don't remember him derailing trains full of orphans or something. He was appalled when Aventurine accused him of killing his bodyguards. So basically I understood him as a character who, despite all the hardships, under his inhuman appearance and gruff manners, hasn't lost his humanity and fundamentally is a good person, valuing human lives.
Was I wrong?
Because now he has no problem killing an innocent, disabled, and severely mentally ill kid in this supposedly friendly competition, basically for no reason.
Look, he's grinning maniacally; he crearly has no qualms about this; he's aiming for the head:
2. But let's imagine Luka wasn't swift enough. The floor of the arena is covered with his blood, brain matter, and skull fragments, exactly as Boothill threatened.
Luka's father receives terrible news back at home (would Boothill send a little apology letter? like, "whoops, sorry", or "same, bro", or "he had it coming"?) He's left alone to grieve the violent loss of his child on this dying planet, once invaded by the IPC and abandoned by the universe. Wow, well done, Boothill. That will show the IPC!
As a writer, how little should you care about the story and the characters you are writing about to not notice the obvious parallel?
3. But why did he do that? The writers give us the flimsiest excuse:
Boothill: I wanna see every news outlet in the cosmos buzzin' with the headline "The IPC's most wanted man stole the spotlight at the Wardance. He came out with the fudge blazin' and sure made them IPC shirtbags choke on the humble pie."
Okay, let's pretend he killed Luka, this fan favorite underdog, in front of the whole universe. Let's pretend he wasn't spooked away by some IPC cops (and we'll talk about it later). He fought Yanqing and killed him too. He just proved in front of the whole universe that he's actually as cruel and dangerous as the IPC propaganda said. And he got a new powerful enemy (because I don't think JY would be reasonable about losing his child like this. I mean, how many greiving fathers can we get in one hypothetical scenario?)
I don't think the IPC higher-ups will lose any sleep over it!
4. Was there even a need to kill anybody? It's explicitly stated several times that "by holding the Wardance, they're demonstrating to everyone that they've returned to a state of peace and safety" (and it's not to satisfy people's thirst for blood or something). It's a festival, not some kind of death fight. I've got the impression that it's mostly for younger people to have fun and prove themselves. Most of the competing powerful adults don't even show their full strength. Nobody is expected to kill anybody. Yanqing decisively defeated Luka, and they ended up being friends.
Don't tell me Boothill isn't skilled enough to aim for Luka's arm to disable it with a shot (I mean that's what ended up happening but not for his lack of trying!). Or, if he wanted blood, why not just shoot Luka in the kneecaps? He'd probably need two new prosthetics, but he'd definitely be alive.
5. I already showed that Boothill would've achieved nothing if he won. But what about Luka? Maybe it's his fault? Was he too prideful? Was giving up an option for him? Absolutely not. He wasn't just representing himself, the children of the Underworld who believe in him, and that little girl who died, but his whole planet. It's the first time most people even hear about Jarilo-VI. And the first impression is crucial. Jarilo-VI is far from being safe, their chances for survival are tiny. Any support he can gain might be the matter of life and death for his homeworld. And we know that it worked because JY offered the Luofu's help to Jarilo in the end.
6. Btw, he only "fought" Luka because he knew he's much weaker than him, and then he ran away from some random IPC cops (who wouldn't have arrested him anyways because the Luofu clearly don't consider him a criminal, and they probably wouldn't allow the IPC to just arrest people on their territory). I'm not making this up, he literally says it himself:
Boothill: This kid (Yanqing) is young, but he's got some serious skills. Facing him will take too long and there's no guarantee of winning. It ain't worth gettin' caught by those forkin' IPC hounds over a competition.
So "I don't want to try and kill that kid because he can actually win". Our hero, everybody.
I mean, I'm not the only one who sees this, right? Again, it's very possible that I'm missing something important, and it all makes sense. Is he supposed to be a coward as well as a cold-blooded murderer? I don't believe that. It looks like a terrible slander of Boothill by the game's writers. Is everybody okay with it?
7. This whole confrontation kind of makes sense as the lowest point in Luka's story until you look closer. Getting to their lowest point is an important part of a hero's journey, but it usually happens in the beginning, indicating the need for the hero to change and grow, or in the end, as a test. But it happens in the middle. And it kind of doesn't change anything much?.. He gets over it and just continues competing.
The kind of character our hero loses to is also very important. It might be a mindless goon or a "for me it was Tuesday" type of villain, unrlated to our guy in any way, allowing the story to concentrate on the hero's journey. Or the antagonist's personality might be important for the story, highlighting their personal relationship with the hero or their conflicting ideologies; our hero overcoming the antagonist not only physically but mentally too, probably allowing them both to grow.
But it's neither. Boothill isn't a faceless goon, he's a complex character, a protagonist of his own tragic story. Their ideologies or goals don't clash (other than the serfuce level "I want to win this competition"). They don't have any personal history either. Boothill just appears, attempts to murder Luka, and basically disappears from the story.
8. Speaking of, you know what would be great? If instead of threatening Luka and then shooting him point blank, they actually talked. If Boothill had some character development by realizing that other people's struggles might be more important than his own pursuit of revenge sometimes. I mean, Luka was literally fighting to save his planet.
But instead, it feels like the writers just used Boothill as a tool in Luka's story, ruining him in the process.
9. Okay I'll shut up now. I'm too wordy and anal retentive. I just needed to get it out of my system. But I could go on and on. The more I think about it, the more problems I see. Like, why was their confrontation clearly styled after a classical cowboy standoff when only one of them had a gun? It makes no sense. Why did the journalists and fans have problems with Boothill's gun after the match? Didn't we just fight Topaz and her goons, who use guns too? Why wasn't it a problem then? Why did Luka faint after shielding himself from the bullet? I don't think he was wounded. And if he was wounded seriously enough to faint, then how did he manage to recover fast enough for the next match? Especially considering that the Luofu's healthcare mostly consists of feeding people normal food and giving them pets. Speaking of which, what was that dialog with Natasha in the beginning? Is he also terminally ill?… And why was Boothill borderline abelist about Luka's prosthetic arm? Yes, it was IPC branded at this point, but it's not like he just hates everything related to the IPC. He's basically good friends with Aventurine, and he had no problems sharing a small ship with Topaz and Jade. Btw, despite HSR being as vague about characters' ages as possible, it's kind of implied that Luka's underaged ("The tea served there isn't suitable for someone his age", "That red-head boy is actually… Luka from Belobog?" and so on). Boothill nearly killed a (probably) actual child in cold blood. A kid from a planet that just nearly survived IPC's military invasion. What were the writers thinking???

Forgive me because I'm going to ramble, I've been thinking about parallels and character arcs that echo or mirror one another. And I've been thinking about some of the similarities between Mae in Kingdom and Caesar in War (and I might be completely wrong this is just my own interpretation lol).
They're not exactly mirrors of one another, but they certainly hold similarities. We see both characters dealing with the aftermath of a violent loss, see them battle with the trauma and anger and grief of those losses. They both withdraw from others around them emotionally and we then see their grief and fury explode from them in outbursts.
They're both plunged into dire hostage situations which require patience and strategic negotiation. And neither of them are in the right kind of mental space to navigate them. For Caesar, he's never encountered someone like the Colonel; this man cannot be reasoned with, cannot be intimidated, is as brutal with humans as he is with apes. Even if he could be reasoned with, Caesar is completely consumed by his rage and need for vengeance, he cannot and will not back down. And when the Colonel pushes him, taunting him about the death of his own son, he understandably lashes out.
With Mae, in her eyes negotiation isn't an option. Mae's been instilled with the belief that her mission is an integral key to potentially saving the human race and that nothing can come between that. We know so little about her and her past, but if a human is knowledgeable about technology and a government that disappeared 300 years ago, one can only suppose this has been deliberately taught to them. Like Caesar, Mae won't back down, because she knows Proximus cannot have the weapons inside the Vault and because her life hangs in the balance. She's the only one left alive to retrieve the decryption key and deliver it (her usefulness to Proximus arguably ends once she reveals a way to enter the Vault). She's also angry and scared and lashes out when he pushes her, reminding her how she's at his mercy.
Then the parallels of killing in desperation. Caesar arguably doesn't mean to kill Winter, he's blinded by his rage and doesn't seem to even realize he's choking the gorilla... And then he realizes how limp the other ape is, feels him slump lifeless in his arms and we see his horror. He hasn't fully realized how far gone he is yet, though his friends certainly see it. This is a harrowing scene. Unlike with Koba, there is no hesitance and thoughts of Winter do not haunt him after.
And then Mae's killing of Trevathan... this is a deliberate act but a purely desperate one. This is the moment Mae realizes how far she has to go in order to complete her mission. She doesn't want to kill this man, kill another human, I think it's likely (given her shock after she shoots Lightning later) that Mae has never killed anyone and hadn't thought she would ever need to. She's terrified, from the moment she's desperately trying to negotiate with him to the moment she shakily gets to her hands and knees in the sand next to his corpse.
Oh and about the parallels.... Caesar causing an explosion to destroy the military base and that explosion causing a devastating avalanche to tear down the mountain and almost wipe out his own apes.
And Mae causing an explosion to destroy the Vault and prevent human weapons from ending up in Proximus' hands... that also almost wipes out Noa and his clan?
And finally, the seeking of forgiveness. I genuinely think Mae felt guilt for doing what she did to the clan. I can see that as the only reason she would seek out the Eagle Clan's village, a sense of guilt and concern for their welfare. She should be well on her way to complete her mission, but she follows them. Her learned fear of apes has her hiding a gun behind her back, she's expecting Noa's anger. She's not expecting him to still be open to the idea that perhaps one day humans and apes could live side by side. She won't apologize, she still sees her actions as unavoidable, the 'right' thing. But she feels guilt, and the fact he seems to not hate her is far more than she expects.
And Caesar, oh Caesar. He's done so much, far far more than any one person should. And he almost lost himself completely, there were moments Maurice barely recognized his old friend. Caesar almost killed them all through his anger and grief, and he saved them all again. He doesn't need to ask for forgiveness, but Maurice offers it still, reassures him and lets him finally rest.

Previous mini rant brought on by me trying to make sense of how a Bhaalspawn can carry a divine essence, be stripped of that divine essence, and still be tainted by Bhaal but no longer have his divine essence or qualify as a Bhaalspawn anymore.
The definition of Bhaalspawn is a bit odd. The qualifier seems to be that you have a fragment (of varying size) of Bhaal himself hitching a ride within you, latching onto your soul like a parasite. When that's removed, you no longer qualify. Bhaal no longer whispers in your ear or haunts your dreams, or threatens to pilot your body. You can't become his avatar, or harness his divinity and channel it into divine magic. You cannot hijack that fragment and claim the Throne of Blood.
When Bhaal is removed, you are no longer a Bhaalspawn.
But you still fall into the same box as cambions and pre-4e tieflings: "Tieflings are aware at an early age that they are different from the people around them, and often have strange urges, desires, or needs because of their heritage." You're still "genetically" half-god: Bhaal's taint runs in your veins, and will pass onto your offspring. The "violent rage [still] pollutes [your] tainted blood" and you want to kill everything. On the alignment chart you are instinctually "pushed" towards the evil end. Sorcery seems to remain intact, so I guess that's falling more on the "genetic" side, like if your sorcerous ancestor was a dragon or demon. And this "genetic" divine component was kind of necessary, because fully mortal hosts tend to start dying when they're used to house Bhaal.
Bhaalspawn are not actually supposed to be able to exist/survive without that fragment. One who is separated this way is fundamentally aberrant and wrong to those with the senses to pick up on it (and their own): "[They] exist; [they] do not live. [...] [They] are nothing." Theoretically, the Gods can remove Bhaal from the Bhaalspawn, but as of 5e canon this is not entirely foolproof because Jergal and the Dead Three don't actually follow any of the goddamn rules, and Bhaal has tricked everybody into thinking one of his spawn was cleansed of him when they weren't before: "Bhaal’s vestige [is] still lurking in [their] mind" and able to exert some influence over their choices (which is apparently "canonically" what happens if Charname remains mortal at the end of BG2).
Also, weirdly, the fact that Orin and Durge's future hypothetical offspring count as Bhaalspawn carries the implication that Bhaal is involving himself with the babymaking process and placing fragments of his being into them. And why. Why do you make everything unclean, Bhaal.
#I was actually working on the demographics and various cultures present in Baldur's Gate/the Western Heartlands#I don't know how i ended up here#FYI around 78% of the Heartlands' population is human and only around 3% of that population would qualify as white#It's the unholy combination of lore inaccuracy and real world bullshit#You think I was complaining about the svirfneblin being mini drow just WAIT 'till I start on the humans and the whitewashing all over-#-FR products.#babbling#/durge#edgelord hours

Watcher!Grian uses his newly found time travel powers to go back in time and remove himself from existence so he won’t have to suffer + Mumbo Jumbo is the Personification of Time itself >:) HC AU
Obligatory "also posted on AO3" link
Grian always wondered why people hates him. For a really long time. He's aware that he's mischievous and causes trouble for his friends but he's not used to be like that. In fact, he only recently learned to be himself and not worry about other people. The Evolutionists taught him that and he's forever grateful for their kindness and love despite betraying them to join the Watchers (they're going to kill his friends—his family if he won't). He always wondered why his parents hated him enough that they divorced and left him behind.
He always wondered why Sam only targeted him specifically despite being called a "friend". He always wondered why the Watchers kept their keen eyes on him. Is there something wrong with him? Is his existence bothering them so much that they just had to find ways to try and get rid of him in their own ways?
Whenever those thoughts plagued his mind (more often than not), Grian can only cower himself inside his base and locked himself for days—weeks even, just to release all the flowing tears and uncontrollable sobs out of his system and go out to pretend like nothing happened. The one skill he mastered all his life was to keep his giddy facade and hide his pain with a smile. Even now, it's a useful thing even when he doesn't need to do that anymore. But his persistent intrusive thoughts say otherwise. Whenever they come, he always asks himself why is he still here when all he's done is to bother people?
What's the purpose of him staying when everywhere he goes, all he does is cause nothing but trouble? Would it be better for him to just time travel? Yeah, the idea of going back in time to prevent himself from existing appeals to him, making him think about it over and over when his mind isn't busy with major projects or planning mischief.
Grian wakes up one morning, albeit with a violent jolt as per usual due to another nightmare from his past. When he looks around, his stomach drops at the familiar sight. Is he still dreaming? He pinches himself by the arm and proves his theory wrong. What is he doing here? Is this some kind of cruel, sick joke or prank? But only Pearl, Timmy, Martyn, and Mumbo knew about this. Unless they... No.
They can't just exactly replicate the bedroom from his high school based from his stories, can they? He leaves the bed and walks around the house. Yeah. It's the room he used to stay with Sam and Taurtis, but how? He passes by the kitchen and catches something from the corner of his eye, causing him to backtrack and stare at it, only to see his younger self washing the dishes.
Did Grian just go back in time? How? Is it because he's a Watcher? It can't be that convenient, right? This has to be some kind of trick.
He swipes a cap conveniently lying around the living room (the three of them were terrible at keeping the place clean. One time he saw a one-year-old glass of milk still standing from under the bed—how it got there, he had no clue) and quietly exits the apartment to wander around the streets.
The place is the splitting image of his old town. He can see familiar faces casually talking as he continues on his way, causing his chest to drum yet still feel light as the excitement fills him. With this power, he can finally fulfill his seemingly impossible idea! He just needs to figure out how to use it again.
Remember when Mumbo just rambles random things that may or may not make sense? Plus his contraptions are just blowing your mind? What if he's the literal personification of time?
So his chit-chats that seemingly don't make sense and amazing redstone come from eons worth of knowledge (both past and future) but just not very good at conveying them. Hence his famous line, "it's really quite simple".
It looks like nothing's wrong at first. Mumbo plans his next redstone contraptions and gathers materials for said contraptions. Just your typical normal day on the Hermitcraft server, really. So far so good, no man with a red jumper on sight that's potentially lurking from the shadows, so he manages to have a productive day for once.
Well, until when he mentions a reference from Demise that Iskall acts quite a bit strange during the interaction, but Mumbo shrugs it off and thinks he probably remembered wrong. Hence, his friend's weird reaction. The next is when someone brings up the Mayoral election and he references the Jrumbot, only for Scar to give him a look he can't quite understand before brushing off that the topic was even brought up in the first place.
The last straw is when Mumbo greets Pearl and mentions her love of turning mobs upside-down when she sees the cleaning lady cooing at one of Zed's hanging animals, only for her to frown and cautiously asks about how he knew her favorite hobby. What does that mean? They literally live together last time. He tells her just that but she seems more confused the more Mumbo rambles, making him stop and apologize before leaving abruptly.
What is going on?
Why are a few events seemed to poof out of the Hermits' minds like a mysterious force is pulling their memories away from them? Then he finally realizes the similarities between said forgotten memories. They're events that occurred with Grian's involvement. Grian created Demise and Jrumbot. He founded Boatem when the five of them were messing around with boats.
Mumbo doesn't hesitate to lock himself in his Vault and focuses his thoughts on scanning through the previous timelines of Hermitcraft.
Oh, no. No, no, no, no, no...
Wha- what is happening?
Why is Grian's history starting to slowly fade away like smoke? He fast forward to the early months of S9, only to see a few of them disintegrating into nothingness as his best friend's existence is disappearing. He hastily backtracks, already biting his nails as he looks for something—anything where Grian still exists in their history. His drumming chest and ringing in his ears aren't helping, amplifying his panic more as he finds anyone with strawberry blonde hair and red jumper and THERE!
Mumbo sees the short man standing in front of two people lying on the floor who are concerningly bleeding and utterly pale for their own good. Why do they look familiar, though? He feels like he’d seen those faces before. No! No time for distractions! Before fully succumbing to his panic, he glances on what Grian is holding by his hand. It seems to be glinting by the moonlight that flows in through the open windows, his breath is caught in his throat as he finally sees what it is.
It's a sword.

We get the bare minimum of people acknowledging we exist that's not pandering. Literally all most of us want is access to medical care and the right to live our lives without violent threats or harassment. Of course there are shitty trans people, there are shitty people in every group whether they're marginalized or not. No one should be harassed for just trying to live their lives, but every fucking day I have to have someone remind me that they think I should commit suicide and they think it's fucking hilarious. Some celebrities saying "trans rights" isn't helping my safety, medical care, or material existence.
"Bare minimum of people acknowleding we exist" and yet every major company acknowledges and accepts trans people (and if you disagree you can be fired), every job application now asks for your gender identity and acknowledges nonbinary identities, women's DV shelters are forced to accept transwomen or else risk facing defunding and being shut down despite the fact that most women there are traumatized and need space away from male people, males are legally allowed to go into women's restrooms and sports and prisons where they assault and rape female inmates and staff, and y'all are also allowed to undergo "gender affirming care" despite the fact that it violates the hippocratic oath and is not safe. Hell, many insurances will even cover the cost of transition so either you're lying or you're misinformed. Literal children having some restrictions being placed on transition doesn't count, as children aren't allowed to make many other life altering decisions and you don't complain about those (no smoking, no drinking, no tattoos, etc.). And I haven't even gotten into how the trans movement is inherently homophobic as y'all are trying to redefine homosexuality as "same gender attraction" and call any actual homosexual person a "transphobic bigot and genital fetishist" in much the same fashion as homophobic conversion therapists. Literally the guy who came up with the concept of gender identity, John Money, was a pedophile who did sexual experiments on twin boys which eventually caused both of them to commit suicide. Look it up. Also look up Alan Turing and the Aversion Project.
It's not just "some assholes", your entire movement is built on trampling on the rights of women and LGB people.
I'm sure you genuinely see yourself as a victim because you have been told BY OTHER TRANS PEOPLE that trans people will commit suicide if they don't get affirming care instead of just better mental health resources. You know what LGB activists told gay children? "It gets better", not "Affirm gay kids or they'll kill themselves". Like. Doesn't that rub you the wrong way at all? Why are your activists encouraging children to kill themselves?
Acknowledging reality is not oppression, either. Even radfems acknowledge that you exist and that you identify as trans, but the reality is men cannot become women and vice versa. Also, radical feminism the ideology has nothing to do with suicide baiting people, so if radfems have actually told you to kill yourself on the basis of you being trans (doubt) then I want to see receipts.
#anon#response#long post#sorry this response is disorganized#I genuinely would like to have a conversation with you about this though#anyways all this just to say that if trans people respected women and LGB people's rights and boundaries#we'd have no problem with you#and if you just excuse that behavior instead of calling it out and shutting it down then you are part of the problem

This is the Incest if you squint at it WIP I had
tw: Incestous language, dubcon/noncon, oral, Yandere Salamander
Nubin Orenn
Bev To'ken: female, grey eyes, silvery hair
Bev couldn't take it anymore. She was tired of letting brother Orenn live in a delusion! It was cruel and unusual for her of all people to be assigned to be his "sister". Bev To'ken was so far removed from his original family tree that he was practically a stranger to her. She was going to confront him tonight at dinner... she wanted to live her life and not continue to allow some poor man cling to a past that was centuries old and dust. If she wasn't so frustrated she would try to relate it to fire and the forge but she was just done.
Nubin Orenn was an old Space Marine... he was well into his 700s and when a man gets to be that old... he develops a few quirks. Not unlike a dreadnaught with their quirks such as how he is on and off the battlefield... he is a dragon through and through. A violent raging thing that hoards what it hoards so closely and tightly that it might end up killing what it hoards... he hoards family... he hoards memories... he hoards people in a twisted sense. He needs the balance... he needs to have someone to help ground him back to being friendly... to being sweet... to being like a warm fire on a cold night... something to gather around with friends... something to lure people closer so he won't feel alone. Nubin loves people... regardless of if you meet him on the field and you cross into his heated and passionate gaze or off the field and you cross his warm and loving gaze. But he had his sister to keep him grounded.... right?
Bev sighs looking at him just looking into his bowl as his ruby red eyes were trying to search for an answer in broth. "Nubin. I can't do this any more for you. I refuse to continue to perpetuate some lie. They're gone Nubin. I am not your sisters! I'm someone hardly related to you by this point!" She shrieked and stomped her foot. Her breathing heavy as she finally let out all that built up anger, "Just because I'm no body important distantly related to you is the only reason I'm here! You kept me around because I guess I look close enough to them! Let me live my life Nubin!"
His ruby eyes just looked over at her... this stranger living in his home... a subsitute family... a subsitute sister for him to take care of... to be a good big brother to. She was mad at him... she never wanted to be here... always uncomfortable... not seeing it as an honor and more of a hinderance. "I'm going to go pack some of my things tonight Nubin. I'm not staying here." He listened to the chair scrape on the floor as he listened to the steps heading to her room. See they had gotten a few things wrong about his sisters... some warped perception of how they were suppose to act and behave.
This was the closest to getting them back. His nails dig into the wood of the table. They harassed and haranged him till the day each one of his sisters had passed. None of them afraid to call him out on his bullshit... none of them afraid of him. Such a mean big brother... Oh really Nubby? Their voices sing songed through his mind as he held his head as long dead feelings were stirred up like a slumbering dragon.
The eldest of his sisters, Sai, was always his partner in crime. He had locked and buried those feelings he felt towards her deep deep deep down. With her passing he felt that they could be let go... SO WHY WERE THEY CRASHING RIGHT BACK INTO HIM?! Bev wasn't Sai... his mind came to a screeching halt as the Dragon that he was on the field rumbled in the back of his mind... Bev wasn't Sai... Nubin feels his chest rumble in an approximation of a purr.
Bev comes back with a bag slung over her shoulder. She stops and walks back to the table to at least apologize and hope he wasn't mad... he was still a Space Marine. "Nubin..." Is all she says before pausing and the hair on the back of her neck stands up. Nothing's changed but something has... something is wrong... something is very wrong... the air felt heavy. When he looked at her gone was the soft tender gaze of Nubin and there was something else there... a gaze that looked at her like a piece of flesh. She watched his tongue pause on his canines.
"Yes sister." He purred out with an enjoyment she hadn't heard before.
She nervously swallowed as she soon had a white knuckle grip on her bag, "I'm... I'm going to go."
"Is that right?" He cocked his head to the side before standing up causing her to jump.
"B-brother." She started trying to appease him but doesn't expect the reaction from him.
The deep groan from his chest, the way he bites his bottom lip, and the utter lust in his eyes, "Yeah call me that again." Her eyes follow a hand and she can feel her face heat up as Nubin starts to palm his crotch.
She ran and that excited him, she hardly made it out into the dark night before she found herself dragged into the shared home once more. Bev felt her back thud against the wood of the table the shattering of the bowls and cups as her grey eyes snap open looking up into the glowing red eyes. This wasn't the darling "brother" she was forced to try to appease this was a completely different man over her. Her throat tightened as his hands firmly rested on her hips. Bev realized her legs were around his waist as she became very aware of the throbbing against her core. "D-don't look at me like that." She softly pleaded her voice surprising her with how quietly she whispered it.
She watched his pink tongue flick out and move against the charcoal skin of his lips. The look in his eyes... was how she wished to be looked at. Bev blinked in horror at her thoughts as she was confused and frustrated. She could see his teeth, sharp and dangerous, flash into a seductive grin as he growled out, "But I can smell what it is doing to you... how excited you are."
"Stop it!" Bev shouts slapping him hard feeling her heart rush as those red eyes look down at her as her hand stings from the slap.
The table groaned as he leaned in snarling, "You didn't deny it little sister," He pants out lost in a delusion, "Let your big brother help you."
Bev feels and hears something tear and she lifts her head feeling the cool air and Nubin's hot breath against her sex. He has been forcibly ignoring the scent of a female in his home for so long it feels good to finally have it. He hooks his foot around the leg of his chair pulling it closer as he gently kisses the lips of her sex and watches the way Bev's walls clench around nothing. Nubin lifted his robes up over his lap before he sat down and grabbed his cock tightly.
With one hand holding Bev still and the other holding his cock he pushed his tongue into her sex feeling her shiver and try to drown a moan. "Yeah is this what you needed? Someone to take care of your pretty pussy?" The Dragon purrs, "Yes just keep moaning dear... let me hear all those pretty noises." He says starting to fist his cock.
His slow languid strokes of his tongue quickly turn as he pushes his face between her legs with his tongue deep in Bev's cunt as if he was making out with her. Her body bucking and squirming as her attempt to resist quickly falls apart and he soon has her screaming and moaning in pleasure. Hands covering her face as this was what she wanted... to be seen as a woman and not just as a "sister" to an unstable space marine... but not like this.
Her face was flushed as she was screaming in pleasure as Nubin had slick smeared on his face as he was panting and puffing hard against her cunt as she practically humped his face just moaning in some twisted pleasure. Till she finally came on his face and he strangled his cock to resist cuming right then and there. She laid sprawled on the table just groaning feeling weak. Bev felt her eyes bulge at the sight of the obsidian dragon between Nubin's legs. He just grinned down at her as he still held her leg.
"I'm not going to fuck you on the table like a whore. No no dearest little sister you deserve to be fucked in my bed." He picked her up as he palmed her ass and had Bev grinding against his cock as he slowly walked to his room. His eyes held a dark look in them, "Oh Bev... thank you for yelling at me. You know only my real sisters would do that to me. Yet you're right... you're not them but I have a lot of fantasies to work through little sis... so walking might be hard for a few days but," He poked her nose for a moment as his voice dropped an octave and the air seemed to vibrate around him as Bev realized she was trapped, "don't you worry... big brother is here."

Live-Read: "Dofus Manga" - part 3
+ A big Atcham Analysis
I'll only briefly point out that he has an ear ring, or that Ancestral Z draws him with hair tufts for cuteness' sake. We have to keep moving towards the point where I analyse him.
Atcham seems to be quite famous, — to the point Dodge is chastised for not knowing him, despite being an ecaflip, — and one of his nicknames is "the killer of killers". Very, very interesting...
"You're the one who made a huge mistake, Katar, by stealing the sword I had taken to repair... It belonged to my family for generations."
Obsessed with all the implications this has. You have no idea just how obsessed I am. To Atcham, swords aren't just weapons, — they're objects of sentimental value, a way to protect himself, a tool.
And it turns out that Katar threw his, and I quote Katar, "piece of shit sword" to the moon.
We've discussed Atcham and Kerubim's dead family, lack of support system, and young age when they lost everything plenty here. Same for their irrational hatred for one another.
No need to tell you how awful this must feel for him. Imagine someone throwing your dead father's picture into the river. For fun.
"And the smith was a good friend of mine." Man :(
(He's either not that good at telling that someone is scared of him, which is sad, — or the smith that Katar killed was joking, when he said that he was afraid of Atcham.)
What follows is the most important scene I have for characterizing Atcham:
"The... the six Dofus. You have reunited the six Dofus! And what are you planning to do with them? Do you have an idea already?" "They intend to defeat Cornu Mollu."
If I speak on Cornu Mollu, this post will devolve into a 5-hour lecture on how much I hate the Twelve gods, — how Oropo "Did Nothing Wrong", — and how Sadida, Iop, and Ecaflip in particular need to be [VIOLENT LANGUAGE OMITTED] for the things they have done. Let's just say that he's a demon guy who rules Brakmar at the time of manga, ok?
"You guys are comedians. PHAHAHA! The guy is stronger than a god... And your Dofus can't change that! And his armies have only continued to expand — they're invincible."
Atcham laughs them out of town like clowns for thinking they can defeat Cornu Mollu. Which is more than understandable. But it is interesting, how he speaks of Brakmar here... Not very patriotic, he.
"I wish you courage in your collective suicide. As for me, I'm going to find myself a little island, hoping to escape all this!"
The thing about Atcham, is that mostly, he just cares about himself, and the things he likes.
He doesn't care about the city he's in, — outside the fact that his brother is on the opposing side. He doesn't care about the world, or saving it, — because the world certainly hasn't cared about him!
And he WILL flee, if it saves his skin from any unnecessary pain or danger.
What he cares about is his own damn self, because nobody else is going to.
For this reason, his personal moral compass is entirely dependent on saving his own skin, because he has only ever had himself to rely upon. He tries not to be too cruel, — yet, if the mood strikes him, he becomes hyperviolent just for the sake of fun.
But the thing about him is that he will leave, if things aren't going well. He won't stay.
This includes fleeing Brakmar at the first sight of trouble. And chances are, it also has, multiple times, included Joris and Kerubim after the movie.
While I will go more in detail on this later, sometime after Leorictus's nightmare reign and Joris's huppermage horror beyond our comprehension, Atcham has left Kerubim and Joris to return to Brakmar's side.
As far as I am aware, it is not because of some deep falling out, — they still seem to love one another. Kerubim has an instance of mentioning Atcham, in a pretty teasing manner, — and in the quest that involves catching him for his crimes, Kerubim comes to bail him out with a defense attorney speech at the ready to explain away why the atrocities are both a misunderstanding and completely justified, — but the thing is that Atcham left them, and began doing weird stuff, like crimes. In Kerubim's own Ecaflipus temple.
My personal thought is that Atcham keeps leaving because he's scared.
He cares a lot, — because they're the first people to ever care about him, and it drives him crazy how little they care for themselves. It hurts seeing them in pain.
Leorictus's reign probably was hard, emotionally speaking, — Joris wasn't even legally allowed to live in Bonta, or anywhere else, as a huppermage, — and yet, in Dofus MMO, judging from NPC dialogue about how Kerubim only moved back to Astrub somewhat recently,
— and Joris's presence in the game before the implementation of Huppermages as a class (I.E. their return from Rok Island), all signs point to the fact that this whole time, as Huppermages fled to Rok Island, — The Trio stayed in Bonta despite the danger, for some insane fucking reason. Probably heroism. Probably trying to save people. (people who have read my fic Fragile will uhh. Recognize this premise. Yeah. I think a lot about this all. To the point of writing a fic about this insane era of their lives.)
I think Atcham hates how responsible he feels for them, and the batshit insane things, — heroism? saving the world?! helping other people?!? self-sacrifice!?!? — they make him want to believe in, and how afraid he is of losing them. It is for him, to agree to do things he would never do before, for them, — and it's scary, just as scary as how dependent he is now, despite being ok with loneliness before them.
And sometimes, it's just too much, and too fast. So, he leaves, again, and again.
But on a positive note, I want to believe he is mostly over leaving them whenever he gets too stressed out, by Wakfu times. Maybe it's the maturity that comes with age, — or realizing how much they need him after Ogrest's Chaos, but I want to believe that he now expresses his frustration in other, more productive ways: herding these two idiots away from danger.
Ranging from: subtly insisting that Joris doesn't go on insane suicide missions all alone just to protect them (Just like Atcham, Joris's anxiety for his family makes him very irrational at times.), and trying to get Kerubim to always be ready for battles, while protecting him because he isn't,
To just plain having the willpower to tell the world's most stupidly self-sacrificial man "Did you consider that the floating eyes in the sky aren't any of our business? :)"
Which is pretty funny.
Anyway, yeah, Joris is not surviving the things Kerubim and Atcham will do to him, after he tells them that he went to something called "The Necroworld", almost got trapped there, and then almost died 20 times.

DILF SKK IM SORRY
Also headcanons bc I'm so normal about them
Dazai
Janky old broke hobo spiderman energy
When I say broke I mean BROKE
Will swindle his way into getting money
Absolute SLUT will sleep with someone just to have a place to stay the night
Not exactly homeless, he's more like a roach. Just kinda scatters anywhere and stays somewhere he finds comfortable even if he's not welcome (cough cough chuuyas apartment)
Giving frank Gallagher energy but if he actually tried to be a good dad (source: shameless)
Oh did I mention he's a dad
YESSSIRR HES GOT A DAUGHTER BC GIRL DAD DAZAI CANON
His daughter is actually kinda embarrassed of him
She's def the one who worries about him the most
Lives with her mom, who is one of dazais old one night stands (IT SHOULDVE BEEN ME FR)
Her mom couldn't give two shits about this man even if she tried
His daughter doesn't want to be anything like him
She inherited his intelligence tho, just not his irresponsibility
Dazai doesn't live with them, he and the mother aren't dating but they're not friends either, she just kinda accepted that he's this cockroach in her life and her daughter is a nice piece of leftover trash he can't get enough of
Don't get me wrong, dazai LOVES his little girl
Absolutely adores her
She's usually just annoyed by him
He finds it cute when she yells at him cause it reminds him of when she would throw tantrums as a toddler
But she does genuinely love her dad more than anything
It's just hard for her to show it
She's not particularly close with her mom either since she's kind of a cruel and bitter woman
Still not over how dazai treated her
He's not perfect, but he tries
Chuuya
This man is like the complete opposite of dazai
He's a single father who wouldn't leave his daughter alone for a second
Unlike dazai chuuya fell genuinely in love with a woman but she died during childbirth
At first he was angry that his wife was taken away but one look at this little girl in his arms and all the pain and anger washed away
He promised her he would give her the world no matter what
He's absolutely the best father you could ever ask for
His daughters spoiled spoiled SPOILED
Nothing but the best for his little girl🥺
And unlike dazai bro is LOADED so yeah she pretty much gets anything she wants with a snap of her fingers
But she's not a brat tho (at least, not when she's older)
She takes after chuuya in her need to be useful and independent
She's actually way more calm than he is, but she does have a little of his demeanor
Anyway enough abt her since I'm very early into the development of this au and Idk much about how I want the kids to be yet
Chuuya does bulk up as years go by cause ain't no way this child having a TWINK for a father🙄
He does also get a teensy bit taller bc I wanna throw this dog a bone, man
"I'm still growing" You know what?? Yeah you are buddy keep believing in urself😊
Still in the mafia, but since having a kid he's withdrawn a lot more from this life
He's not the type to try to get a higher position for his kid since he knows that the more involved he is with the Port Mafia, the more danger he and his family is in
Only a few in the Port Mafia actually know he's got a kid
For a while they tried to keep it a secret from mori not knowing what he'd do
Also do not leave his young daughter alone with this man
WEVE SEEN YOSANOS BACKSTORY GOODBYE
Chuuya is a lot less violent than he was in his 20s
Having a kid really softened him up
Now when he's on a mission, he doesn't kill anyone unless he was ordered to
He can see the fear in his enemy's eyes and all he can think of are their kids and what would happen to them
So unless he absolutely has to, he won't kill anyone
His job is also a secret from his daughter
He doesn't want her involved in any way whatsoever
He wants her to find her own path, to be her own person, and most of all, to be safe and happy
Wasn't gonna do this part but
SOUKOKU
Dazai and chuuya do get back together in this au
After the unofficial breakup they did have a couple nights together but after a while they drifted apart, chuuya finding a wife and family, and dazai slowly spiraling deeper and deeper into his own mess
Their lives are intertwined again upon an incident where their kids are in danger
That's when they pull a spy x family and secretly defeat the enemy without their daughters knowing about it
It was supposed to be a one time thing, after this they're back to their normal lives
But unfortunately their girls became quite good friends, so they had to keep seeing each other
They went from hanging out with their kids in a daddy-daughter tea party to absolutely destroying each other in the bedroom
Ok that's all I genuinely wanna develop this au so ask me anything! I'd love to answer ur questions!!!

Some of you (read: none of you because no one cares about this concept other than me, but I am in my delusional era) are probably like "but Happy? Why wouldn't Neptune's child get along with Jason? Jason also enjoys killing, as you have specified many times in your posts where you talk about him wanting to kill and seeing nothing wrong with killing other people" and to that, my non-existent readers, is because Jason wanting to kill is less of a want, more of a need, a have to.
It has been bitten into him that people who go against the pack must be dealt with. Jason is law and order incarnate. People who go against the pack, go against society, cause disorder, they cause chaos. People who break the law, who break the rules sow the seeds for dissent. Dissent, disorder, chaos - it goes against function. It goes against sense. So people who break the rules have to be dealt with before their actions can cause ripple effects, and sometimes that involves killing them. He doesn't go into a situation thinking, "I hope I kill someone today" (unless I write that, then he does, but generally, no, that's not the concept). But if someone breaks a rule in front of him, then violence is the way he was taught to handle it.
So violent he will be.
(The rules are also not always laws. Sometimes the rules are just what Jason thinks is important. And sometimes the law is overruled by what Jason thinks is more important. Someone strikes Reyna across the face, and Jason pins them down, his nails dug into their throat, lightning seized in his hand as a threatening dagger, and they choke, "She killed her father! Patricide is against the law!", hoping to turn the focus away, but all he does is cock his head so much like his former wolf brethren and hisses, "Not mine", and strikes them clean through the throat. The only rule that mattered was respecting his friends)
Comparably, a child of Neptune kills because they want to. Because they're bored. Because some captain of a ship said, "This boat is unsinkable!", and they thought, alright, bet.
The sea shifts on a whim. Calm one day, cruel the next. One trip you may have perfect sailing conditions all the way to the next port. Then the next trip, your boat is shattered across the waves, and you're the last living man, floating on a piece of the wreck, dying from the sun and dehydration, wondering if it would be better to tip over and drown than continue to hope that you'll live. The ocean is not going to push you to shore. It's going to watch you float until you shrivel up and become food for the birds, or the fish. Whichever you fall prey to first.
(Neptune's kids are cold, they're uncaring. They don't understand mercy. Neither does the sea. If you wanted to survive, you should've tried harder.)
So broken down: Jason kills because he has a reason to. Neptune's children kill whenever they want just because they want to.
