I’m baking a carrot cake cheesecake as like a house warming gift for the guy I’m seeing tomorrow. I’ve never made a baked cheesecake before so it’s gonna be interesting to see how this goes. And carmalized pecans, another think I’ve never done before.

So far so good overall

But burned myself on the stove part that heats up. Totally forgot I was just making the pecans on there, and had them to side cooling some. Went to transition them into a better container and one fell under that stove part. Idk what it’s called. Went to lift that up some to free it and burned my fingers some. It feels silly that I’m like good job me for then letting go very quick instead of still trying to free the pecan.

And like at this point, even if it’s bad, this has been more work than what I usually make. Tots gonna be asking for like a thank you as a nicer than usual dinner sometime.
