what really REALLY makes me so very "normal" about everything is that radahn remains voiceless and has no say in anythign the entire time we meet him, hes either a zombie or a literally flesh puppet constructed by his own half brother (out of another family member, which clearly shows bc hes using blood magic and got horns growing)- aside from very few quotes on some items we never get to know him, we dont know what he wanted, he gets dragged into this and is then like some animated statue, theres no emotion in his face, even less sound he makes when fighting, even, in my opinion, his animation in the final DLC fight seem OFF to me- it looks stiff how hes moving whenever hes not actively attacking

(also miquella and what he wants is constantly talked about, but while its all about radahn in a way . we never hear anything from radahns side, its never even questioned. as far as i know, like !!!!! argh!!!)

TIME FOR A PROCESS POST let's talk abt getting from this (client sketch - which, btw, i know other artists have talked about this plenty, but i LOOOOOOVE a client sketch as early direction on a commission. LOVE it)

at first we didn't know if the title was going to go across the desk, or over the central figure (emara's) head against the back wall. so there was a 1st version where we were favoring a higher title, then we started favoring the desk so we scrapped the clutter + centered it more

i used clip studio's 3D models (particularly for the chair, guard, + weapon crates) and perspective rulers to help with laying everything out at this stage, tho i abandoned the 3D pretty early on bc it's a bit too clunky for me. maybe i'll find it quicker to use w more practice!

once the basic layout was approved, i threw together a value study to explain how in the final image all the clutter of the bg detail would be unified and pushed back. lately i find myself thinking abt value earlier + earlier in the process; planning ahead saves me a lot of time!

i fiddled with starting to refine things digitally, but then i got A BRAND NEW LIGHTBOX delivered in the mail with perfect timing (lmao) so i just ended up printing off the digital sketch, finalizing in pencil, + scanning back in

then comes five billion different steps of locking in values, again. i did everything greyscale first, but i didn't worry abt getting things super polished at this stage bc i knew color would factor in a lot to later decisions

this is the point at which presenting these wips "step by step" is kind of misleading; i didn't do these stages one at a time, but rather had a BUNCH of different lighting/shading layers that i kept toggling on and off as i worked to make sure everything was coming along well.

(to get some of these caps i actually went into the main file again and turned a bunch of stuff on/off just for the sake of getting specific examples, because actually when i was actively working on it there was rarely a point where i was actually working on something with "all lighting turned off and just the shading on," or anything like that; but i AM interested in showing what effects different lighting/shading changes had on the base colors, even if i wasn't really making these changes in a rigid order.)

i.e., just for the sake of interest, here's how the flat colors look without those adjustments!! but i honestly never looked at it like this on its own for long...i had all the shading/lighting turned off so i could see what i was doing while flatting, but i was constantly checking back and forth.

then tones added on top (which were actually just two copies of the tone folders in the above posts, set to linear burn and overlay) -

which makes it get HORRIFYINGLY dark, but that's when we go in and add a bunch of lighting adjustments.

the most obvious lighting change above is the big burst of hot pink light from the corner, but there was also some masked overlay + burn layers to pop out the guard + emara and make sure they were pulled out from the bg. if this were a standalone illustration, i maybe would have let the bg (and all that painstakingly drawn detail..........) stand out a little more, but a cover functions differently, and i wanted to make sure the eye goes to the title first. that means sacrificing bg detail even if it looks sick lol

then final touches! a lot of my very last touches are things that are close to invisible; gradient maps on very low opacity, noise, a little bit of scribbling on upper layers. the typesetting was all by the client, except for the lettering for "emara king's," which i did myself!

finally, here's a comparison of ⬅where i left off one night close to the deadline thinking "it's probably done, but i'll sleep on it just in case," then all the adjustments i made the next day with fresh eyes.➡ and that's it!!! phew!!! that's how i make a cover!

two people will be included in this post-- they're siblings but I didn't have as much down for them as the others.

also yes, ik i haven't been posting assignments regularly... I've decided that I'll post them sporadically instead. I will still grade them! No due dates.

anyway, please welcome Azelkariya and Asmokariya!

pronunciation

azelkariya: (az-ul-car-ee-yuh)

asmokariya: (az-moe-car-ee-yuh)

Similar to Mongolian names, the twins to do not have separate ‘last names’, instead, their family name and personal name are joined together. Only friends refer to Asmokariya/Azelkariya as simply Asmo/Azel, people who are of a lower station or just unfamiliar with them refer to the twins as Asmokariya/Azelkariya respectively.

uh however, I will refer to them as Asmo/Azel in this character intro bc it’s easier.

appearance:

Azelkariya and Asmokariya are fraternal twins + they're both blind in one eye. Azelkariya is blind in her right eye and she goes by she/they pronouns (they are also afab). Asmokariya is blind in their left eye and they goes by them/them pronouns (they are amab).

They both look pretty similar because yk... they're fraternal siblings. The face claim below is most similar to what Asmo looks like; Azel's hair is a little longer-- I couldn't find a pic of what i thought her hair would've looked like, everything I found was either too fem or too masc 😭😭

They're both lean but muscular; Azelkariya has a large vertical scar (it's completely healed) on their left shoulder. She has two moles-- one on base of her neck and the other in the hollow of her collarbone. Azel and Asmo have both of their ear's pierced. Azel often wears a gold nose piercing, but will take it out when they need to fight. Asmo likes to wear simple long earrings.

sidenote (FIRST PHOTO): this model is actually half german half filipino, but I didn't base Azel and Asmo's ethnicity solely based off of only one culture, it's more of a mix + a lot of made up stuff! remember, this world is not the same as ours!

EDIT: Clothes style has been changed, based on the photos provided, a more complex and elaborate style is preferred in Azel and Asmo's culture. Long dresses and wide leg pants are commonly worn between both twins, though Asmo only tends to wear clothing like this during more formal events. Asmo tends to wear plainer versions of this style.

The clothing here will be what they would usually wear when you first see the two of them. I imagine they'd wear more breezy clothing than this, but honestly I still haven't established a specific style for them.

Asmo prefers:

Azel prefers to wear:

-tighter top garments

-darker colors, generally wears neutrals, especially brown and black

Azel=Azelkariya

Starting with Asmo, they're quiet, cold, and incredibly smart. I mean like prodigy level smart. Asmo's ever so slightly psychopathic, but mostly in the sense that they're the type to prioritize the people important to them in any way possible. They aren't unfamiliar to manipulation, as they've led multiple hunting excursions and even sat in their parent's meetings-- even going as far as to provide some insight on solutions to the issues discussed in said meetings. Needless to say, Asmo's got a lot of power in their kingdom. However, Asmo does not have experience in other places other than their own kingdom.

Asmo and Azel do not live in the Eudora Empire; they both had to go through several trials to be accepted into Aethergarde Academy to obtain a scholarship (like fighting and stuff, but yknow since it's aethergarde, it's harder than every other school). The twins both were offered multiple scholarships for their outstanding performance in the trials-- in fact, they will be the most well-known non-eudoran (not from the eudora empire) students because of all the articles written about them in the newspapers.

Moving on to Azel, she is definitely more on the bubbly side, and often relies on her brother. Contrary to her brother, they're really great with people. Azel is quite good at calculating (math) and making things, especially herbal tonics; but she's a little insecure about her potions because her parents are pretty nitpicky when it comes to anything Azel does. Azel is far more familiar with the Eudora Empire than Asmo; she actually has several friends in the empire, which is great connections wise as she has their public and financial support in her endeavors at Aethergarde Academy. Azel can summarily be described as light hearted, independent, and self conscious.

relationship & status:

Asmo is emotionally closed off from his parents, but they do receive the most affection from them. Asmo dislikes the fact that their parents are unfair to Azel, but despite what Asmo tries to do to mitigate this problem, their parents never seem to sincerely return their affections to Azel. Asmo feels like their parents are forcing Azel to constantly be in their shadow; Azel would have to create tonics for Asmo (like their parents would tell Azel). Obviously, Asmo isn’t a fan of having their twin in their shadow.

The twins were shocked when they were found to be such highly ranked riders— Especially Azel. Azel never really dreamed about becoming a rider and was often too preoccupied dealing with her family. Luckily, they do have a few friends who are riders, but none of them are ranked higher than B.

As for each other, Asmo and Azel feel pretty close to each other, but Azel has more of a tendency to hide things from Asmo. She often feels like Asmo’s taking on too many things at once, which makes her less likely to express her own worries to them. Asmo has picked up on this, and tries to show her that all the things they’re doing isn’t much of a strain on them. Despite Azel having a comfortable relationship with Asmo, she still feels a hierarchy of sorts embedded in their relationship. Asmo does not feel this way whatsoever towards Azel; they do not view Azel has a servant/ or a being lower than them.

Azel is friends with Anoa Erving, but not like close friends. They’re more like former classmates; Azel met Anoa when she bought some herbs from her stall.

I use VTK vanilla so only fem v with default breast size (I'm lazy I'm sorry, again this is why I'm doing it for charity and not being paid directly). Specify if you use another complexion. I use Ava's with abs, no moles.

Okay so I'm prefacing this with I know this is 100% not gonna b canon, but I had an idea. So here's the thing yknow how ppl theorize whatever Nicky was talking to was possessing him atleast partially bc his eyes changed color? What if he was possessed... but not by the Entity or the Guest?

What if it's Mya who's possessing him? I think it might notve been intentional, but rather bc the supernatural tend to thin the veil between life and death and with two strange god like beings centering around the Peterson house where her body is buried... well it'd be easy for a child to get a new shot at life in a way.

Think about it: we havent seen her eyes yet have we? In the teaser she's in her eyes are the closed, but we know in the other iterations of the story her eyes were green and Nicky's were brown. But in this version it could be the opposite since his were green!

That could also be y he's able to act coherent in ep 5 while acting so strange in ep 6: it could be when the entity messes with Nicky or they see Mr. Peterson the two souls get scrambled by the stress of everything, leading to them having trouble making decisions.

Like I said this prob ain't what they were going for, but it's a fun idea nonetheless!

It started with this image that came up in the Google search for Mya Peterson WTRB, Me and Kaydin were laughing at the Hello Neighbor lofi art, and I wondered where it came from, since it's official art but I'd never seen a video including this on TinyBuild's channel. Reverse image search only brought up an article about hn2's release date from April 2022, so I started searching that time of upload on their channel, nothing.

So I just searched "Hello Neighbor Lofi" on YouTube. And thankfully, someone reuploaded this.

Ik this came out before episode 1 of wtrb, but seriously uh WTF IS GOING ON HERE?

The words "Nicky" "Trinity" and "Aaron and Mya" can be clearly heard and repeated by a distorted voice for the entire thing, along with weird laughter and groaning. Does this add to the possession theory? This voice seems to be repeating the terms as if practicing to use them. It's- weird. And in case it helps with any of the mysteries of this show I want to bring it to people's attention.

My SunnySideUp design explained

Exhibit A:

This picture was the first time I ever drew Sunny. I was figuring out how rich people/modern princesses look in cartoons basically. Because she's a little kid and she's not gonna know how actual rich people dress. I was also looking at different Sunny fanarts and ultimately fell in love with the idea of her being black/mixed.

Exhibit B:

This is a colored version of the design i decided on. She does not have any "dragon" features here because I was lazy. I'm pretty sure her dress was pink and then I remembered that her color was orange. Note that she still has the clasic glasses here. (ignore them being purple on the left, that's just smth i do in my sketchbook)

Exhibit C:

It's my pinterest board for Sunny. I haven't been drawing for over a month when I made this (health issues) and I rlly wanted to draw Sunny again bcs QSMP being closed was driving me nuts. I actually researched protective hairstyles for this.

Exhibit D:

As you can see her outfit is pretty similar to the first one I decided on. The differences are: Different colors. Her sleeves aren't as poofy so they could be more practical. Glasses are star shaped. (She's a star!) Shoes. I originally drew her with ballet flats but here I gave her sneakers (specifically balenciaga bcs expensive) but ultimately decided to give her boots with butterfly wings. That's an omage to the cosmetic wings she wore on QSMP. (plus being around trains and machines it's more practical to wear boots) And of course the hair. She has mini twists tied into two buns. She has blonde kanekalon weaved into them. Considering coily hair is really dry bleaching is not always a good idea+she's literally a kid. (I know it's fiction, leave me and my brain rot about protective hairstyles and coily hair in general alone.) She also has a toolbelt. She only wears it when she helps her papa around, but it's still stylish and matches her outfit.

(I'm gonna be using both of these hairstyle for her) I turned her yellow glasses black to pay respect to her actualy egg form. (the glasses might be compltely different shade but at least they're black) and in the light of that i made her boots black instead of white. And I added diamond earrings bcs she needs to have diamonds in her design.

I really want her to have the vibe she wants to dress like a rich person but she's a kid so she doesn't really have a grasp onto how rich people dress so she resolves to princess, but her dad literally works on trains and other machines so having a big poofy skirt and fur coat and the feather thingy is not practical. So she still manages to dress like a princess while being semi-practical. I think she wore big skirts and feather thingies and white fancy gloves at the beginning, but stopped bcs practicality. And beinfg able to spend time with her pa is more important than looking like a princess. (I might draw that one day but rn my hands are dying.) If you got here I applaud you. A mutual acquaintance wants to try getting one of those fancy pens, got any suggestions for newcomers?

Absolutely!

Despite me always pining for the super pricy fancy pens, some of the best pens you can own imo are less than $20 USD off the bat, and while the "nicer" ones out there are. over that price, you don't really need that to get a really good first experience. I'll offer some super easy pens, some more intermediate pens, and some inks! This is going to be a long ride, so buckle up!

If you don't know where to start and are intimidated by bottled ink and instead want a pen that can write right away, I recommend the Pilot Varsity! You can get them at Michaels here in the US, and theyre slowly becoming more popular in retail shops like Walmart.

Classic steel nib, not much flex because it's steel, but it writes pretty sturdily. I really like that it comes in different colors. They're disposable, so if you don't like them then you dont gotta keep 'em, and if you bust the nib by accident (we all have at least once), you aren't going to have to sell a kidney to replace it like you might need to with pricier pens.

If you want a pen you can put ink cartridges into, or just want a good workhorse of a pen, i HIGHLY recommend the Platinum Preppy. The one I own was $14 USD and came with a cartridge of water soluble black ink. For $4 USD, I got 4 cartridges of Platinum's Carbon Black ink, which is waterproof and smooth! Very versatile!

I REALLY like this one. Ive never had the ink dry out even when i had tucked away for like a month, and if you ever want to use it with bottled ink, you can get a Platinum converter and use whatever fountain pen safe ink you dream of :] This pen only comes in F as far as I know (which is a western EF), but the chinese market has a version called the Platinum Meteor that comes in EF and has a cute shooting star on the nib :] Back when I started writing this I had lost mine for like a month but just found it and it wrote just fine the second i opened it up. The only thing I DISLIKE is that the converter cartridges are sold separately and you HAVE to buy platinum brand for this pen. I already have two bc of my other platinum pens, but. Yanno. Its still annoying to HAVE to do that.

Similarly, the Kaküno is fantastic! all the above statements, but it has the added benefit of having a cute face on the nib as well as some cute collabs sometimes :] They're also about $14-$16 USD. They take Pilot cartridges in various colors, which are $3-$4 USD and Pilot converters.

I highly recommend the platinum preppy for the full fountain pen experience! It's not mega-expensive as pens go, so if you dont like it you havent sunk hundreds of dollars into a tool.

Lamy is having quality control issues that no one seems to want to contest because of their popularity, and the recent "no bro its totally the same color as the old popular one trust me" ink fiasco. TWSBI is another brand thats normally recommended and while theyre good pens, theyre shitheads as a company and like to use their muscle to bully both retailers and also smaller pen companies. I dont recommend either brand right now.

NOW, ONTO INK AND PAPER:

Your nib, paper, and ink are pretty important. fountain pens dont like rough paper, but they handle it better the larger they are (M, B). Dry inks will not always play nice in fine pens (Ef, F), and an EF pen will eat the shit out of rough paper and can get clogged. If you can get your hands on Rhodia paper to practice, good! If not most sketchbooks will tolerate F pens in my experience. Stillman and Birn are my workhorse sketchbooks and the pens work fine in all of their paper styles, but Hobby Lobby's sketchbooks also handle it well, as do BLICK's colorful leather sketchbooks. Don't Buy Moleskine. If you want to get really good ink effects (ie, you bought an ink with glitter or it has some cool effect like sheening or shading), tomoe river paper is hailed as the gold standard, but you can get similar effects on Rhodia or Clairfontaine paper, which afaik is easier to get ahold of overseas (cant speak for other countries on the US continent, but I will say I saw more clairfontaine in france than here on the us).

NOW FOR INK. my favorite part :] :

For both Waterproof and Black ink, i recommend Platinum's Carbon Black. I think it's pigment-based, unlike most dye-based inks, so it can be tough to clean out of your pen if it dries, but its noting a lil soap and water cant fix :3 It's benefit is that it comes in cartridges usable with platinum pens, so you dont need a whole bottle if you dont want one.

For color inks, I really like Pilot's Iroshizuku line. It is a WET ink and is not waterproof, but they come in cool bottles and pretty colors. I own Ajisai, Shinkai, and samples of Momiji, Murasaki Shikibu, Chikurin, Kosumosu, and Asagao. I use them both to sketch AND to color things and write. My workhorse non-waterproof color, the one i draw most in, is the Sailor Studio 343, but the sailor manyo line is also great! If you like and/or miss scented inks, De Atramentis has a line of them!

Be careful with inks that have glitter. I own the J. Herbin Emerald of Chivor and its glorious but if you leave it in your pen...thousands soaks hell attack. That being said if it would entice you, treat yourself to a fun and shiny ink! I have Colorverse Scorpii Glistening and its really pretty! Diamine has an excellent range that are easier on your pen but I dont have experience with them ngl.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE SHOULD YOU BUY ANYTHING FROM NOODLERS. aside from having a shithead of a company leader, their inks are actually pretty volatile and can blow up both vintage and modern pens and im speaking from experience even though I used to use their eel bulletproof black and a waterproof blue one. I ended up using the blue ink to dye a cu chulainn wig darker for a wip alter cu cosplay. the last ink i bought, Tchaikovsky, also had a strange and suspicious stank about it.

Buying inks in bottles can be super expensive, but Goulet Pens sells 2ml samples that you can buy a shitload of and try them all out! I try to get new samples on the rare occasion when i need a new bottle of my favorites :> I'll probably buy a full bottle of Sailor Nekoyanagi, Pilot Iroshizuku Chikurin, or Diamine Writer's Blood next.

I hope this helps! I had to edit it a few times over the course of the past few weeks bc i went on an entire tangent about bootleg pens I like and uh. realized thats both overly complicated for the base question/bootleg pens tend to need tweaking to work nice. that being said, i'll say it quickly: buying lil nibs from aliexpress has actually worked pretty well for me n my tswbi knockoff (lanbitou 3059) has a fude nib i got that's bent to allow brushlike strokes! but I donmt recommend it for a first pen bc it required some grease and a nib tweak upon purchase and dries p easily bc of the cap.

they get married before the events of fe4 occur, and ethlyn has 'scipio' and stays in yngvi castle with edain when the guys go off to war. i think the only way for the second kid to be born is if the conspiracy doesn't happen as quickly, so they all come back alive and the two of them have 'leif' and then the rumors start to spread and then andrei does the thing and joins the conspiracy crew and presumably edain and ethlyn go to sigurd's side together, the latter taking the kids with her. neither of them have major blood so andrei won't fight for custody. kids end up in tirnagog gang with auntie edain after eth dies in the meteor attack :thumbsup:

didn't want to ask this in the replies but what is your process like for designing clothing for characters bc not only do they look gorgeous but you always put so much thought into your stuff, esp the historical kind. it smthin i've always kind of struggled with tbh and you make it so interesting

oh man it kinda. varies? depending on what kind of clothing i want out of a character. this gets kinda long too but bear w me lol

the fashion pieces i do, i spend a lot of time going thru fashion editorials for poses and pick up pieces of different outfits or silhouettes that i want out of a piece. for stuff like a set occupation (hunter, butcher, blacksmith) it's abt knowing time period and finding the pattern between different photos.

the more complicated ones are like. odelia and euan. where im creating a whole piece that's frankensteined from a couple different styles (rococo, georgian, regency, etc). i think the three main types of information i depend on are Goal, Silhouette, and Fabric.

so Odelia and Euan. the goals for them are very different, bc Odelia strives to be the center of attention while Euan tries to blend in with the background.

Odelia needs something extravagant and flashy, maybe brightly colored and shiny; pastels and wide skirts would be good for her, and rococo is a good place to find both. satin is good for shine and lace is good for detail, and both are relatively light materials. Euan would want something a little more subdued, possibly a tighter silhouette so he's not taking up much space. i found a picture of a russian noble while i was sifting thru various noble clothing designs, and i liked the way the silhouette was tighter and cleaner. he'd also need darker colors if he wants to hide in the shadows. i like the way darker colors look in velvet, and it's a thicker, heavier fabric, which was another trait in the photo i was referencing. i also like the weight and thickness of quilted fabric so throw that in there for fun and detail. lastly, being as they're twins and high priests, they need a way to tie the designs to each other, and i settled on a thicker neckline that suits both styles in different ways. the finished concept looks a bit like this.

granted this is always subject to change, and its a v simple version of the design i want, but its a good start

with designs like that i also like looking for textiles! rococo patterns are so pretty too, so i picked one for Euan as well. the off white would be shared between the two designs, the lighter blues for Odelia, and the darker blues for Euan

wheeze that's a rough estimation of how i go thru designs, there's a type of practicality and personality i want out of most of them so i try to research what i can when i want smth specific. part of this is admittedly bc i. am a lil obsessed w period clothing, so i already have some of that in my back pocket, but i also think just typing in "[year] fashion" is a fair place to start. regardless, having fun is a Must when you're designing clothes for a character so dont forget that bit lol. i wish you luck and godspeed, friend!

It's kinda complicated and the textures where hard to get right. If you're trying it out without any realism experience stick to simpler references like these.

This isn't mandatory this is just what I'd do if I could.

Second: brush

I use ibisPaint and for all of my paintings I tend to use 1-2 brushes, these are the codes.

The first is the one I use for mostly EVERYTHING, and the second is specifically for powdered stuff.

If you don't have my program just use a brush that blends with other colors, preferably something like this

Third: my process

I actually saved my process for my last painting! There are three stages, I have difficulty explaining them though.

Stage one

Confession time!! I trace my references. I do these paintings to practice rendering and I struggle with recreating references with just my eyes, sue me.

So either trace or recreate your reference with line art.

Anyways make sure this is on one layer and use the brush you'll use for the rest of the painting, this will also be your rendering layer lol.

Future update: I try to minimize the amount of line art needed. Just use enough to block out your space, you should use your reference for everything else. If you get lost keep a version of the large reference to find your footing.

Stage two

Color pick from your reference and pick out base colors on a layer below your line art, this will mostly be covered but it helps me break down the components of the picture better. (I forgot some of the chocolate dizzle on this drawing woops)

Future update: In these modern times I have learned that doing this underpainting stage is much more efficient with standard, solid, non-blending brushes. I block out the shape with a solid color and then go in with the colors, my typical underpaintings look like this nowadays

I switched this up bc if you look at the one done in the pastel brush there are large gaps, especially when colors meet or come into contact with line art. This allows me to clip the line art+rendering layer onto the underpainting, making rendering easier.

Stage three

I'm only half joking. Go back to your line art layer and say goodbye to your work!

Color pick from your reference constantly and play with your brush size and opacity often. Try to pay attention to textures, though I tend to fudge it when it comes to spongey (cake) textures bc I like not being a sisyphus metaphor.

Future update: when doing glossy stuff pay attention to highlights. It really gives your gloss more form with minimal amounts of color even needed.

Your colors will blend together, your line art will make it look muddy, these can be fixed. Don't panic‼️‼️‼️

I used two layers and two brushes on this painting, I usually use two layers and one brush but the powder of the marshmallows required the particle brush.

That last one took around 2 hours to make because I work fast, don't feel rushed and invest as much time as you need (or want).

Future update: these take me longer now bc I put more thought into the smaller details!

man i don't even know anymore. for the longest time i thought i wanted to work in academia but now im doing a phd and im seeing all the uni politics up close im like... man... all of you people and your made up rules and your cronyism and toxic power dynamics and your hierarchies suck ass for real. but then idk what else id do bc even though i like museums that whole world is impossible to get into without literal nepotism so yeah. marry rich and set up something cool to popularise opera among younger generations? lmfao

This time is a lot of Jade for sum reason :v

We starting with the new au i didn't explain: the fight club au

The premise is basically MK meets Streetfighter, meets twst, meets real world. With Epel trying to get around New York and attending the prestigious NRC school for mages. He uncovers a secret fight club and gets recruited by a misterious fighter in order to uncover a secret drug ring.

This was more of silly doodle time, but there are a few hints of the au's plot :P

Lowkey I didn't know how Ace was gonna look like at first, but now I know EXACTLY why he turned out like this. Parkour I guess :'3

Noting how I confirmed that the velvet room attendees are siblings, I HAD to make a few shenaningans in between them :3

Lavenza and Floyd are the ones who get a new fusion method, thus Igor(the deemed parent), Had to instruct Floyd first so he could tell Lavenza as well. I really like how the uniforms turned out tbh.

And yes, this implies that all the attendees are mers. Lavenza, Theo and Elizabeth are eels, while Margret and Azul are octopuses. Might draw those one day :v

Ace is the funny lil guy that has and absolute TRAINWRECK of a backstory. And Riddle as well, but I wanted to practice a bit on backs and side profiles, but I also wanted to add sum context ;3

And what better au than jjba au? The first one is ur hint at the main plot idea of this au, while the latter is a ref for Azul and his stand: Dark Side Of The Moon. I tried to also see how realistically his stand would resist against things, seeing how it is made out of bulletproof glass, also a lot of Drag inspo for his stand tbh. :'3

It's a sort of tease of what happens during the mlb specials, which all happen post the main 4 seasons ya'll read and saw me losing my shit abt. :'3

YES, THERE WAS A REASON I TEASED MALLEUS'S FAM DRAMA!

Think that NY and Shangai Specials happen at the same time, but each of the our main 2 heroes go through sum self discovery post all that chaos with Madame Moth. Riddle with accepting the flaws of himself and coming in terms with his new family dynamic, while Malleus comes in terms with the tesnsion and the chaos around himself and the fact that he cannot ignore changes he doesn't like anymore.

And the other miraculous au, this time the maleidiazu hard au version.

Since Jade got the butterfly miraculous, I thought that the twins would be ABSOLUTE MENACES to Azul.

For Jade's design, I saw those very pretty butterfly decorations photos and I fixated on Gabe's butterfly tending hat. I also wanted to allude to his eel form, so I imagined a long, sleek, trein, reminescent of a cocoon, that can flare up and reveal it's true shape of a half wing, the top vest part acting as the 2nd part of the wing. He looks pretty aloof, the kind of person you'd assume would be nice, but the veil is like your warning sign, with the butterflies always sitting on the outside, all alert. I really liked how he turned out and probably is one of my favorite designs in this au tbh.

And again, Jade for the last one: the Jjk mild au. damn, I can't find the post

I knew right off the batch that I wanted this mf to get some inspo from Nobara's uniform, just because I think Floyd-pre curse era would have a more yuji insp uniform and since in cannon jjk these 2 were like besties and up to shenaningans at first, I thought it would be a fun and subtle reference. :3

The reason that yellow overall is shown, is bcs underneath the jacket, Jade has a top of a similar shape, mostly to accomodate his brother.

It's fun to think that Jade's so reserved and acts humble, but in here there's literally the truth. He's thrown in this world with 0 knowledge, trying to gather up the disaster that was left behind his brother and just fix things that he isn't responsible for in the first place, all for his own selfish reasons. It's fun :D

Victorians might have been considered obsessed with the symbolism of flowers in their time! Flowers were used to express their feelings and roses were symbols of the most intimate, passionate types of love.

And now, Rose Day is here to bring even more meaning to these expressions of love!

History of Rose Day

The cultivation of roses seems to have begun thousands of years ago in China. Even the master Asian philosopher and politician, Confucius, was enamored by roses and wrote about how he grew them in the Imperial Gardens around 500 BC. Not only that, but the emperor’s library contained hundreds of books just on the subject of these beautiful flowers.

Roman mythology considered roses to be a symbol of secrecy and desire, particularly related to Venus, the Roman goddess who was considered to be related to beauty and love. Perhaps due to their sweet smell and interesting colors, the rose has been correlated with love through the eastern cultures, such as Asian and Arab cultures, as well.

Rose Day is associated with Valentine’s Day, a holiday that has been celebrated for at least 1500 years. Although Valentine’s Day used to be just one day left on its own, it has now grown and developed into a much larger celebration of love that spans for a week before. Some people even take to celebrating the beauty of love throughout the entire month of February.

Set forth to mark the beginning of the week prior to Valentine’s Day, Rose Day is a romantic day that is the first of many to be celebrated in the lead up to one of the most love-focused days of the year. The day is encouraged to be celebrated in all sorts of ways that symbolize love, affection and romance in honor of this week of love.

Other days that are celebrated in this week leading up to Valentine’s Day include Propose Day on February 8, Chocolate Day on the following day, Teddy Day, Promise Day, Hug Day, Kiss Day and, of course, Valentine’s Day.
