Okay, the second part is because I see fit and no one is going to tell me not to.

Let me say right away - this is not the only correct opinion, but I find it useful to share this with people (Since I grew up in a military environment, since my godfather is a military man who has been through several hot spots, since I am one of the managers of a military-related club, and since my ex is a military man, I am quite immersed in the daily life of such families, so heck yes, I will use my experience.)

Again, this is not a one-size-fits-all mechanism that works for every soldier, but nonetheless. I also don't take into account the different traits of different people, the human factor and other variables. I just give you the basic structure.

Here we go.

The Army is not the "Green Pines" children's camp with cheerful starts and fun contests. It's not a place where people chill out and enjoy a vacation, and it's certainly not the best place to spend your youth. The army is discipline, and often discipline that breaks you down. There's a good joke in Russia "In the army we roll cubes and carry spheres." And when you are bent and broken for a very long time, you yourself begin to bend and break those who surround you outside the barracks. It's not uncommon for soldiers to bring their Army experiences into their daily lives, even if it's just in small ways. Like, making their bed a certain way, getting up at 6 a.m. sharp, cooking something according to the recipe from the army canteen, getting ready quickly and efficiently, and so on.

The army is not a section in the biography, but a real lifestyle, which few people can change from the outside, no matter if it's your beloved one or not.

In my experience, no matter how progressive a soldier might be, the military structure itself is rife with sexism. It tends to follow a patriarchal, classic family dynamic (or relationship) where the Military person is the male archetype — the provider, protector, father — and the Civilian is the female archetype — taking care of the household, children/pets, cooking, mother, and simply accompanying the Military person as a beautiful appendage. This is the military, baby, an organization built by men for men, and they are taught this approach (perhaps not directly taught, but it logically follows as a conclusion).

Being in a relationship with Simon Riley means getting used to his detached behavior, because emotions aren’t needed in the military.

Being in a relationship with Simon Riley means still experiencing jealousy and possessiveness firsthand.

Being in a relationship with Simon Riley means always being in the position of someone he protects (which means a lot of control, reporting to him about your actions and your friends; it means cutting back on night outings with your friends, and it means overprotectiveness).

People continue to type out their opinions, which worsens as you scroll down. You are watching from home and is very aware that Portugal got eliminated. When the camera pans to João’s face, your heart shatters from his expression. He was in as much pain as CR7, and you know he was very excited to play for his country but was only disappointed. You wished you could’ve been there, especially now that the news is out, but you thought Magui would be there, so you turned down his offer.

You and João are both aware that Magui doesn’t like you, mainly because you’ve been friends with him since middle school, but you’ve never done anything to harm his relationship. João has had a couple of girlfriends, and all seem insecure because you know him better than them, but he has always chosen you. This was, of course, until she showed up and had his undivided attention.

Magui Corceiro is one of the most beautiful women you’ve ever seen and, quite frankly, João’s ideal woman. He has always gone for blue eyes and blonde hair, but something about this girl was different; he was actually invested in her and was smitten by her. Your best friend was in love and overly blind too. Their relationship is not healthy, and everyone agrees on that, but João is stubborn and refuses to accept the truth.

When he first introduced you to the girl nearly three years ago, she was very sweet, and you thought for the first time you’d be friends with his girlfriend. But as time passed, she became more possessive and controlling to the point where you went almost a year without speaking to him. Magui was jealous of your friendship with João, and it was the one thing that she couldn’t control because he had told her several times that you’re a long-time friend. And since she can’t ask him to leave his friends, she manipulates him with breakups and male acquaintances of her own. Everything about his feelings for her was real, but she saw it as a tool to manipulate one of the best upcoming players. However, still, João is responsible for how he gets treated, and so far, he has allowed every gaslighting, manipulation, mental abuse, and cheating into his relationship.

You hesitate on whether to call João or not while watching Morocco celebrate their win in the quarter-finals. Your eyes drift to your friend, Hakimi, who looks as happy as ever to win the match. Although you’re upset that Portugal didn’t win, at least one of your friends can continue on the next game.

Your phone dings from the numerous messages from your friends to your family about the video. It was no mistake or misunderstanding. The video showed that she intended to grind on the guy and didn’t care that the camera was on her. You’re sure by now someone has told João of the allegation, and this would only make him more upset. She was supposed to be there for him, cheer him on, and that’s why you didn’t go, but instead, she was in another country with another man.

You go on Instagram, hoping his comments weren’t filled with the scandal, but you should’ve known by now that everyone was on João’s case. His latest Instagram post was filled with Magui’s allegation and how João would never learn his lesson. Even with the hate he gets for staying with her, it has become clear that he won’t leave her. You’ve tried to convince him before, and that only ended with him losing contact with you for months, but your friendship was much more important than your feelings, so you remained silent and helped him when he needed you.

Leaning on your couch, you wait for an incoming call. Morocco had just finished celebrating with their people, and by now, João was probably heading to his hotel. He might even take a flight early to avoid getting crowded the next day at the airport. People can be brutal, and he was trending on Twitter for the wrong reason, and some even blamed his relationships for Portugal’s loss. It was ridiculous, but that’s how the internet works, and sadly his girlfriend added more fuel to the fire, and you can only hope that dancing with the guy was the only thing she did. Groaning from the anxiety, you decided to go for it and dial his number. He picked up on the third ring, and you relaxed a little.

“Hey,” you softly said. You hear a bag zipped before he responds, “Hey you.” You lay down on the couch, saddened by his voice that sounds so broken. “You played well. You gave it your all. I’m so proud of you, João.” He doesn’t respond to that, but you hear stuff being shoved into a bag, and you can only imagine how frustrated he must be and probably wants to come home immediately. “We almost had it, Y/N; I just wanted a chance,” he says, his voice cracking. You imagine being there, pulling him into a hug, and whispering that everything will be ok like you always do. “Why don’t I make you your favorite comfort meal when you return? We’ll have movie nights like usual,” you suggested. You hear another bag being zipped up, and that is it. He was ready to come home. “Yeah, that would be nice.” You smile and refuse to bring up Magui’s situation because this moment is perfect, with no mention of her, just the two of you. “I wish you were here,” he mumbles. You softly smile, cherishing the way he says it. “Yeah, me too.”

Your best friend texts you that he has arrived back early in the morning and is getting some sleep. You smile, excited to see him because you haven’t seen him since he left for Qatar. Many of his teammates were disappointed that you weren’t there, and Georgina has called and threatened numerous times for you to be there, but you had to decline because of Magui. But it was a wrong call on your part because, in the end, she ended up leaving early. You weren’t sure why she wasn’t there for the last game, especially since the Quarter Final is so important, but whatever happened affected his gameplay. You know João more than he knows himself, and you sensed something was wrong with him. During the game, he was off so many times, and his mind was battling between the game and his personal life. Whenever that happens, it is because of his girlfriend, and that’s why his teammates don’t like her. Many of them have expressed their concerns for João because she was such a toxic person, but your best friend is stubborn; he does whatever he wants.

“Hey! Congrats on your game!” You said while making a list of groceries for your movie night. “Hey, hey! Thanks, bud!” Hakimi says, and you notice his kids and wife are in the background as he stables his phone on something. “Hey, how’s João Félix?” He asked, his voice hinting at curiosity and annoyance. “Oh, Ahum, he sounded fine when I spoke to him last night,” you mutter. Hakimi rolls his eyes and lays his head on the couch. “If he stays with her, he will be football's laughingstock.”

You awkwardly laughed, remembering that Hakimi knew your crush on João. It was a drunken mistake that happened during a karaoke night. You, Hakimi, his wife, and a couple of your other mutual friends were celebrating a promotion that ended up with you spilling your deepest secret. Luckily everyone was passed out, and only Hakimi was the only that remembered your words. At first, he teases you about the crush, but after seeing the pain that you go through because of the secret crush, he stops joking about it. “I just don’t understand what goes on in his mind. I mean, he has you around him all the time, and he still chases the one person that is bad for him.” You sighed, hating where the conversation was going. You don’t want people to pity you because you already pity yourself. After spending your entire life being João’s best friend, you’ve realized that you’ll never be anything but a best friend. “Just leave it, Hakimi; I’m sure he already feels like shit,” you mumbled. Smiling at your preparation, you text João to come over. You’ve made his favorite pasta dish and have some refreshments for the movie nights. You’ve also tried to look good and were excited about seeing him again.

Staring at your phone, you see a couple of tears landing. The pasta you’ve made had been sitting for 3 hours, untouched. When he didn’t read the text or answer your calls, you assumed he turned his phone off due to the scandal. Still, after not hearing from him for two hours, you were scared that he might’ve done something stupid, but just as you were about to flee to his house, the paparazzi photos of him with a girl were everywhere on your newsfeed.

Embarrassed for yourself, you got up and threw the dishes away, and started cleaning up. Out of all the things he could’ve done to get revenge on his ex, he went with this. It was already enough that Magui tarnished his reputation, but he had to make everyone think he was as bad as her. Rolling your eyes, you open the door to reveal your best friend in a hotass outfit. “Hey,” he smirks, but you walk off before you check him out further. “Why are you mad? Look, I forgot, ok?” He said. You aggressively turn around and glare at him, “Well, thanks, João; it makes me feel so much better that my best friend forgot that he made plans with me.” João glares at you, clearly disliking your attitude, as he leans on the wall. “You’re being dramatic. I went out with a girl; wouldn’t you do the same if your ex was fucking your friend?” Crossing your arms, you said, “no, because I would’ve left them when they did it in the first place!” João’s face immediately turned red, angry about your comment. You knew damn well that his insecurity was being cheated on, yet you slapped it in his face. “I don’t deserve your bitchy attitude,” he warns. That only made you angry because he has done much worst. “And I don’t deserve being stood up!”

João glares down at you, frustrated that you aren’t forgiving him like usual. He had stood you up many times before, and you’ve forgiven him every single time. It makes no sense why you would be upset with him all of a sudden. “Look, I’m the one that got cheated on like a piece of trash. I should be the one upset. You’ve told me numerous times to move on, yet you’re getting upset that I was out with someone last night? What kind of friend are you?” Taken aback by his sudden manipulation and no common sense, you frustratedly walk to the kitchen. “I spend so much time cooking for you so you could feel better, you asshole!” You screamed.

“I have been by your side since day one! How can you treat me like an invisible wall? How can you only come to me when you need me?” João stares down at you, upset with your sudden outbursts and confused about your questions. “As a friend, you should fucking understand where I’m coming from!” He yells, “you know how much I love Magui! And if fucking someone else takes the pain away, so be it!” Your eyes roam his, tears filling yours, and only anger was in his. “You don’t have to do this alone. You don’t have to ruin your reputation. Someone out there loves you with all of their heart.” João chuckles as he tilts his head back. “Who in this fuck up world could truly love me?”

You stare into his eyes as he stares intensely into yours. In a quick moment, the realization was finally sinking in, and his eyes went from anger to disbelief. “You don’t mean you-“ he pauses and straddles back. Rows of tears start flowing down while staring at him; all these years, he had never thought that you might love him or even thought of being with you. The disbelief and shock only show how little he thought of the chances of you two being together. And once again, he has broken your heart. “I need you to leave,” you mumbled, voice cracking along the way. “Y/N, I didn’t-“ you didn’t let him speak any further because you pushed him away from you. “OUT!”

You cried the rest of the day, embarrassed and disappointed in yourself for being so stupid. You’ve let yourself fall in love with your best friend who had never shown interest in you. João had always treated you as a friend, and you kept hoping he would change his mind or miraculously fall in love with you, but his heart belongs to someone else. And even if he were to accept your heart, his wouldn’t be yours fully. You were selfish to yourself and him, and you needed to move on, even if it meant losing him as a friend.

Wiping your tears, you open your message app and find Hakimi’s name. With a heavy heart, you decided it was time to move on.

Breaking news: João Félix's best friend Y/N, who was once caught up in cheating allegations with him, has moved on. She was caught dining with PSG star Kylian Mbappé and was seen leaving the restaurant together, holding hands. Will do cute couple things like tying your skates up for you before you go out

You two go skating all the time for dates and things particularly at Christmas because I feel like as soon as he learns it properly, Charlie LOVES skating

Goes to all your shows or competitions and cheers as loud as he can

He gets so mesmerised when he watches you because he finds your movements so methodical and elegant

If you ever bring the group Darcy is the most enthusiastic, Tara ends up being quite good because of her ballet background, Tao....tries his best, Isaac respectfully declines and Elle is fucking fantastic. No matter how good you think you are at pole dancing Elle somehow ends up being better even if she's never tried before and no one really knows why

HORSE RACING/EQUESTRIAN SPORTS

He grows incredibly attached to the horses whenever he comes with you to feed them or practice

Has a fucking heart attack when/if you ever fall or have an accident during a race or show

He thinks the outfits you have to wear for competitions are unconventionally really hot

Cried when he learned that they sometimes shoot horses that break their legs

His camera roll is full of pictures of you with the horses or you with your rosettes or you mid jump

At first he's really scared of horse riding so he'll only ride with you with him either behind to hold onto him or in front so he can hold onto you

Charlie seems like a massive horse boy I can't lie so I can see him following you into this sport or at least taking pleasure in taking care of the horses (and then you compete against each other)

KARATE/ MARTIAL ARTS/BOXING

He knows that sometimes sparring is part of the sport but he can't help but hate anyone who hurts you or even pretends to hurt you. He smiles and claps all while biting down the "get your fucking hands away from my boyfriend" thoughts that he has

You always let him win whenever you play fight because one time you didn't he got so offended

He finds it so hot when he sees you fight and he feels kinda bad about it but he can't deny it

You let him decorate the back of your board and you show it to all of your friends really proud that your boyfriend made it for you

He'll wince whenever you fall or mess up a trick and always kiss it better if you ever bruise or scrape yourself

Secretly buys a skateboard and practices in his garden with Youtube or Tiktok tutorials (with Tori judging him heavily by watching him from her bedroom window)

He would go out to skateparks by himself to learn but they intimidate him without you there and he's scared of falling onto the concrete

He starts coming into school or to hang outs with scrapes and bruises and you really start to worry so eventually he has to tell you

ROWING/SAILING

If he's being completely honest, he thinks it's easy when he just watches you and made the mistake of once asking, "how hard actually is it?"

You took him rowing once and let him fend for himself and he instantly took back what he said. He could barely do one stroke, nearly crashed into the side of the bank, nearly capsised you and had to literally beg you with tears to take over

He finds it cool cause "they do that in young royals!"

If you were a sailor or surfer, he definitely has so many pictures of you with wet hair or in your wet suit because he thinks it makes you look insanely attractive

He once had a day dream where you carried your surf board in slow motion and shook your hair dry like in Bay Watch and he was so embarrassed about it he couldn't look you in the eye for the rest of the day

Charlie has a 'can't swim' energy around him (he deffo cried to get out of swimming lessons in year 2) so I feel like he has silent panic attacks whenever you take him out particularly on the sea but he pushes through because he wants to do it with you and he likes to think you'd save him if anything happened

He sends you videos of the boat scenes from Tangled and The Little Mermaid and is like "We should recreate these"

Will come to all of your regattas, dragging the rest of the group too so they can make a day of it, setting up a little picnic right by the finish so they can see who wins. Isaac brings a book and reads, Tao takes some cool pictures of the nature around, Elle and Darcy get too into cheering for you with Darcy choreographing your victory dance for you and Charlie glares at the competing teams for you as he feels that's his job as your boyfriend

You took him out sailing on a speedboat once without telling him it was a speedboat before you set off and he actually didn't talk to you for a few hours afterwards

No matter what state your hands are in from rowing he'll always hold them and even kiss them better if they really hurt you.

I see him coming onto the boat with you with a little tote bag so he can chill and feed you snacks while you do all the work rowing you two down a pretty river

No one in the group 100% gets it but they'll all support you none the less (except for Tori and Isaac they both think it's wayyyy to loud)

He finally agrees to go go-karting with you once and absolutely hates every second, he goes as slow as it's possibly safe for him to go and still has near panic attacks. He comes out shaking and with a new found respect for you because "what do you mean you do that for fun?!"

You did ever so slightly drool over him in the racing suit and nearly cried when he said he'd never do it again

You once managed to get the whole group to go and it was...interesting.

Tara and Tao both hated it, they were terrified every second and both had massive heart palpatations

Darcy ADORED it, pretending it was one big game of Mario Kart. She got worryingly competitive even though she was actually terrible at it

Elle also got very competitive, freaking Tao out by whizzing past him and shouting for him to speed up to follow her

When he listens to you talk about it he loves you so much because you're adorable talking about things you love but it does turn into that one tiktok sound of 'blah blah blah place name backstory stuff' because he does NOT understand what you are telling him

He gets a bit worried when you talk about wanting to go professional because he knows that gets even more dangerous and he doesn't know if his heart could take it, on the flip side imaging you in a Ferrari uniform like the edits he sees of Charles Leclerc almost makes it worth it

He once forced himself to watch F1 one Sunday and he's never been so bored or confused in his life, he would actually rather watch the footie and he never thought he'd say that (Tori came in to ask what the hell he was watching F1 for and he forced her to stay to keep him entertained)

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?) Cove loves to hold your hand and do the little thumb thing where he rubs it against the side of your hand. He often holds your hand whenever you two are around each other, no matter the circumstance. You two are walking to a beach? He’ll hold your hand. He’s kissing you? He reaches for your hand. It’s a little intimate act that doesn’t make him embarrassed, and it means a lot to be able to stay within arms reach of you at all times. He also has a thing for placing his lips somewhere where you did or eating a portion of food where you also ate part of it. For example, if you two are out on a little date night and you both get different desserts, he will ask to try whatever dessert you’re eating only because he likes the idea of indirectly kissing like this. If you offer him any food, he will almost always put his mouth not directly, but on half of the area you already bit out of rather than on the opposite side of the food, like a sandwich.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?) You two met when you both were very young, obviously, and you two bonded more over how Cove didn’t know how to deal with his trauma with his family's divorce and moving to a new place. If we are sticking with this idea, he grew fond of you very quickly because you were the first person he met in Sunset Bird, and you always tried your best to include him in different activities or to spend one-on-one time with him to learn about his interests; he naturally also began doing that with you too! If we are wanting to be a bit annoying and say you two really became friends in step 2 or 3, he already knew you since he often saw you when he went to the beach and because you lived right across the street. He made small gestures like offering you a drink (A Caprisun or something) and you would accept it. Or.. he would ask you something about school since you two went to the same one, like: "MC, um… do you happen to know how to solve for x?" or "I’m stuck on my fourth quote. Can you help me find something to use? I looked so many times, but nothing fits with my topic sentence." Of course, you would always help him because you either had no clue yourself or because you were better at the subject he asked about, which allowed you two to bond more often. When helping him with something, he always got sidetracked by pointing something out about your room or telling you something that went on in his day and wanting your opinion about it. Regardless of when you both became friends, he always had little inside jokes with you, and you both often wore them out too quickly, or he would always tell you random facts he learned about the sea, like: "Did you know jellyfish are just floating blobs and they don’t think?" or: "The male seahorse actually gives birth instead of the female one, so do you think that means they still have the same lower regions like humans or do you think it’s swapped?" Regardless, there is always something stewing in Cove’s mind that he is more than happy to ask you about.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?) Cove is an absolute sucker for cuddling—just not in his bed. You two have cuddled on multiple occasions when you were both friends, such as when the two of you watched a movie together, he often sat next to you, and somehow you both ended up falling asleep, his head resting on yours. If the two of you are dating, he often gets too flustered to sleep next to you in his bed because he can get very flustered when being absolutely alone with you and in such intimate proximity. He often lets you cuddle him when the two of you are just relaxing at his house on a couch, or if he is exhausted from his work shift, he will make a beeline for your house after work and rest his head on your lap while mindlessly telling you about the random shenanigans of his work day. (Bonus points if you put Cove’s front hair into a ponytail or if you just thread your fingers through his hair, which often makes him blush due to how good it feels.)

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?) At some point, he wouldn’t be against moving in regardless of you two being friends, dating, or engaged. He won’t ever tell you he is a bit of a messy person, and you will find out the exact day you move in that he is a little bit of a slob. He doesn’t leave random dishes around, but he has random shirts strewn across his room, and sometimes he’ll leave dishes unwashed for days, but he eventually gets to doing it. He also barely uses his closet. He often just picks out shirts and pants from the basket he threw them in after washing his clothes, rather than putting them away like a civil human being. (You’ll just have to deal with the sand problem because somehow, regardless of whether he was going swimming that day, he tracks sand into the main entryway.) He also cannot cook for shit, but he can prepare miscellaneous foods that his mom taught him to cook, like chicken or tacos. His cooking abilities are very limited, but if there is a food you really enjoy, he will take the time while you are out to figure out how to cook it and eventually master it and cook it for you one night to impress you.

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?) Cove would always try to fix any problems between you two, but if things just became too much to bear, i.e: you constantly cheating on him or you doing something he’s told you make him uncomfortable too many times, he will find a way regardless of what you did to be nice until the end. He would sit you down wherever you live and have a genuine calm conversation with you, and when it gets to the point where he has to say the five words (We need to break up), he begins to tear up himself. During the whole conversation, he will hold your hand to try and comfort you, but really, it’s him coming to terms that it will be the last time he will be doing something like that with you or whoever he is breaking up with. After the conversation is done, which probably takes an hour and a half because he often beats around the bush, he will leave and beat himself up for the next couple of days before he gets over it.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?) Cove would definitely love to make you his wife/partner/husband at some point after you two are somewhat stable. Depending on when you propose to him or he proposes to you (If step 3), he prefers to stay engaged to you for a couple years before marrying you, then wait a little while longer before having kids. If you have issues or you just prefer not to be married, Cove totally understands, and he is willing to treat you like his forever partner, even if you both aren’t engaged. Ideally, Cove would like to marry you on the spot because you have such a chokehold on him, but, realistically, you two get married when you canonically would, so around 24. Regardless of when you get engaged, he will wait a couple years or whenever you are ready to settle down.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?) More often than not, Cove is a gentle person over a rough one. Especially when the two of you are getting intimate, he will always stay really gentle—more so the first couple of times—but he will treat you with respect. Physically, he always tries to gently hold your hand or caress your cheek gently before you two kiss to make things not only more sensual but also more comfortable. Emotionally, he will often not directly address an issue between you two but instead hint at it, trying his best to not hurt your feelings, even if he is the one annoyed by whatever.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?) Cove loves hugs. He isn’t an overhugger, but he won’t ever turn you down if you ask for one. Especially if he is sad about something, he will cling to you like a sloth to a tree, crying into your shoulder, because we all know he is a bit of a crybaby. (In the best way possible, of course.) He often goes under rather than over, so he can hold your waist and put his face down on your shoulder. If you are sad and need a hug, he will always tightly hold you (especially if you have sensory issues) and keep you pressed against him while gently rubbing circles with his palm into your back. If you two are being intimate, the first thing he will do after you two finish is hug you tightly, even if it was a quickie and you needed to leave ASAP.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?) He didn’t want to spring the three words on you too quickly in case you weren’t comfortable with admitting that to him yourself, so he waited, but also because he was a little nervous himself to admit he had such strong feelings for you. After 1 to 3 months, he will accidentally let it slip once. The very first time he said it to you was when you two were having a mini movie night at his house and the two of you were cuddled up on one of the main floor's couches, sharing a fleece blanket. At some point during the movie, you two end up kissing, and after he pulls away he rubs your cheek with his thumb gently and looks into your eyes before whispering under his breath: "God, I love you so much…". Your eyes almost popped out of your head when he said that, and when the words processed in his head, his hand that caressed your cheek instantly went to his mouth. You look a bit anxious yourself, reassuring him that it was adorable (Bonus points if this is when you also tell him you love him for the first time). You put your hands on either side of his head, sitting on your knees now, and you tell him how you are so glad he told you, and it means so much to you that he was finally able to say it. This makes you wonder, though: how many times before did he think about saying I love you in his head but never verbally?

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?) Cove is pretty good when it comes to jealousy, so he won’t ever get nervous when you have any guy or girl friends (Depending on your gender and your sexuality). He believes in loyalty and faith, so he puts his full trust in you, but when someone flirts with you and you play into it a little, whether you’re aware of it yourself or not, he will shift over to you and put a hand on your waist, or he will pull a: "How’re you feeling [insert pet name you enjoy], good, I hope?" and he gives you a kiss on the forehead. This is usually enough to shut whatever down, but if it isn't, he will begin glaring at whoever is flirting with you, and he will insert himself into whatever conversation, acting a bit passive-aggressive because whoever wasn’t taking the hint.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?) Usually, Cove gets nervous with PDA, so the kisses you share are often short and sweet, such as quick pecks on the lips or a few seconds, but he makes up for it by following up with a kiss on your cheek. When the two of you are alone, the kisses are usually more lengthy, and he likes giving you quiet praise after you two finish (exactly how he accidentally let ‘I love you’ slip because it was natural). He likes to be kissed anywhere, honestly. On his head, hand, arms, chest, stomach, and, if you’re feeling a bit risque, on his inner thighs. Every kiss you give him, he cherishes, regardless of the placement. He often likes to kiss your cheeks, forehead, and the back of your palm. If he is feeling a bit risque, then he likes to give you kisses on your ankles (Bonus points if you are wearing an anklet).

L = Little ones (How are they around children?) You’d think he would get flustered around kids, but he is surprisingly good with them because Derek would sometimes bring Nico and Jorge over to Cove’s place, or Cove would go over to help watch them. Derek showed Cove the different tactics Nico often pulled to get his way, and he made sure to tell Cove all the important details about children, such as how to entertain them and what things to keep away from them. Cove can often handle children, even when they do gross things such as pick their noses or poop in their diapers, which he often takes care of himself, and if you two choose to have a child, he will be the primary one to take care of that. If you two have children or adopt, he is definitely the type to cry when you point out how old they're getting, even if they are 2.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?) Cove will often wake up a bit late, such as 10–11 am if he isn’t needed to go out anywhere, and he likes cuddling with you even while you both are awake in bed. He could spend a whole day just not getting out of bed and shifting positions with you in bed because he enjoys your warmth. If you are more of an early bird, he will often tighten his arms around your waist and keep you close to him, nuzzling his nose into the crease of your neck until you shake him off. If you two don’t spend the night together, you often go over to his house and wake him up by tugging at his hair, to which he will grab your hand and pull you closer to him if the two of you are dating. He won’t realize what he did at first, but when he does, he will get flustered and turn over, apologizing. He is slow to get out of bed and to brush his teeth, so his hair often goes unbrushed until after breakfast, unless you decide to brush it for him (Bonus points if you give him head kisses while you brush his hair).

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?) If you two are dating, he won’t bring up sleeping next to each other but instead ‘cuddle before you go home’. You don’t tell him, but you love it when he is so nervous about this because if he had just asked you directly, it wasn’t as if you’d turn him down anyway. He tries to stay up as late as you do, so if you go to sleep early, he will often watch a show or something while playing with your hair and giving you the occasional head kiss. He also loves nuzzling your nose when you’re sleepy, don’t ask him why, he just does. If you often stay up late, then he will try his best to stay by your side, whether he falls asleep in your bed or is sitting down beside your desk on the floor and falls asleep with his head against the seat of your chair. You will wake him up when you’re done, and he groggily gets up, clinging to you until you get in bed. Even if you need to change into pajamas, he will often just lend you his shirt, regardless of whether he has a spare, so you can lay down quicker with him. Or, if you need to brush your teeth, he will have his hands across your stomach and his head on top of yours / on your shoulder until you're done, and then he gets a little giddy when you tell him you’re done, laying down with him.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?) You two were friends before you both began dating, so you already knew a lot about him. If you ask him anything, he doesn’t mind telling you (especially if you ask him when you’re making/getting him a gift, he’ll pretend he has no idea why you’re asking him the question just to see your happy face when you give it to him). He isn’t a closed-off person; instead, he is more of an open book, but he is a bit nervous to tell you about what he likes intimately (Canon), but he will tell you in a quiet voice. Don’t ask him to repeat what he likes in intimate scenarios after he tells you once or twice in the same conversation because he will get too flustered and shut down. It’s a bit of a turn-on for him when you know all the little things about him, so he often mentions if he likes something mid-conversation if you two are on the topic about it.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?) He is a pretty patient guy. Obviously, if you don’t understand something he doesn’t mind re-explaining it to you, and he actually finds it funny if you need something repeated more than twice. He is also patient when you get ready for dates if you’re the type to take over an hour to get ready. He enjoys sitting in the bathroom with you and watching you put on makeup (If you put it on) or style your hair / put it up. (If you do.) If you two are meeting up for a date, then he will wait all day for you, but how could you ever leave him waiting?

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?) For Cove, it’s a mix of it all. There are weirdly specific things he memorizes about you, like if you don’t like a specific condiment or if you put your hair behind your ear / tie it up when you are looking down at something, but he can’t remember your favorite color some days. If you bring up a music artist you often listen to, he will silently remind himself to keep it in mind, and he will write it down on his phone’s notes app so he doesn’t forget. He won’t tell you, but it got to the point where his notes app had too long of a list, so he switched over to Google Docs, and he has over 3 pages worth of information about what you like/dislike and why. Things he specifically memorizes are physical stuff about you, like your favorite jewelry or how you like to dress. When the two of you go out and spend a day together or go on a date, he, for some reason, counts the number of different pieces of jewelry you wear (if you do), as if you’ll ask him at the end of the night.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?) Every day with you is something special to Cove, so it would be hard for Cove to choose a specific moment, but back when you two were younger (Step 2) and you two went on that road trip, he’s really fond of the entire trip because he not only enjoyed the get-together and mix of your families, but he also likes that you specifically wear anklets for him now on because that was when you first found out he liked them. Despite him hitting his head on the top of the RV, he finds it funny now, and he can make fun of his little self for how flustered he was. (Bonus points if you tell him he isn’t any different currently.) (Bonus bonus points if you do something that makes him extremely flustered to prove your point.)

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?) Typically, Cove would prefer to handle things with words rather than physically needing to deal with someone, so if someone were to badger you or annoy you, he would put his arm in front of you and be straightforward with a stern voice. Cove believes you can handle yourself for the most part, but he will always step in if you give him a glance or if you seem overwhelmed by someone. Typically, when Cove talks about something important, he beats around the bush a bit, but he won’t ever stand for someone disrespecting you. He will make sure you feel safe, and after everything is dealt with, he'll give you many kisses.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?) Cove is definitely dedicated to any and all relationships he was/is in, so no matter what, he will remember your birthday, the time you two had your first date, and your anniversary, making sure to give you something or take you somewhere on that day. Just as it is important to you, it’s important to Cove to celebrate the days you both start a new beginning with each other, even if it’s a small step like when you two first kissed. (A little HC is that on your birthday he had a small gift he gave to you when the two of you were alone, and it was an anklet in your favorite color.) If there is something you typically need as an everyday thing, such as a hug, compliment, kiss, or even simple good morning/goodnight texts, Cove will make sure to pick up on those habits and do them as much as possible.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?) Canonically, Cove often wipes his hands on his shorts, so multiple of his shorts have tiny stains on them. Staying on the food topic, Cove definitely is also a bit of a messy eater, leaving crumbs around his lips and on his shorts/pants after a meal. (Bonus points if you wipe it off for him.) (Bonus, BONUS points if you wipe a condiment off the side of his mouth and then lick it off your finger.) Cove also gives off naive vibes, so if you lie about something such as, "Cove, did you know that if you sneeze with your eyes open, they’ll pop out of your head?" Cove at first didn’t believe you, but the more he thought about it, the more he freaked out about it, and he now makes sure to always close his eyes.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?) For the most part, Cove is pretty laid-back about his appearance, but he always makes sure he is wearing matching clothes. Somehow he never wears matching socks, but that’s beside the point. Something that he is a bit more strict about is his hair, though. He can spend roughly 10 minutes just trying to make his hair sweep around his cheeks properly because the night before he slept on it funny. He groans when it doesn’t look normal in the mirror after the first initial brushes, and then he increasingly feels the need to make it perfect before his dad or you usher him out of the bathroom.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?) Nope. Plain and simple, if he ever lost (as in died), he would never be able to forgive himself if he ever moved on from you, and he would spend the rest of his life indulging in the things you liked and weren’t able to do yet. On a less intense note, though, he doesn’t like to go more than a week without speaking to you, especially when he goes to visit his mom. As you are his childhood best friend, you are probably—no, definitely—the most important thing in his life, regardless of whether the two of you end up dating. He often spends a lot of his time just thinking about you, if not hanging out with or talking to you. He has a life outside of you with other friends and his parents, but a lot of his life is surrounded by you, and he wouldn’t have it any other way because you’ve made such an impact on him.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.) Cove is the type to overload you with different memes and tiktoks. Even if the two of you are sitting next to each other, he will either text you a tiktok or send it to your account and watch your reaction. At the end of the day, if you don’t avidly keep up with his messages, you’ll end up with around 30 messages—if not more from Cove just consisting of tiktoks that are the ones that say ‘Us’ and then a picture, or a tiktok of a random fact if you are a girl, and ask "IS THIS TRUE???" and then send a tiktok of a girl peeling her skin off, explaining that she needs to shed her old skin on her period.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?) Canonically, Cove dislikes people who often push back plans or don’t follow through with them, such as pushing a date back multiple times because you wanted to hang out with your friends. He also dislikes people who won’t accept help and who are adamant about not accepting any sort of gift from him. He is the type to spoil his partner, and if you won’t accept any of his gifts, that will often put him down and make him uneasy. Something else that would irk Cove, since he is a bit of a messy person, is if his partner was someone super strict about cleaning or organization and pushed their rules onto him, he would be reluctant to date you, knowing his habits would make you frustrated and him too.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habit of theirs?) Cove love, love, loves to cuddle when he finally gets comfortable sleeping in the same bed/area with you. He ideally likes to cuddle where the two of you are facing each other or where one of you has your head in the other's chest while holding each other. If he is having a rough day, he definitely sleeps on his stomach and tends to shift positions a lot at night. He also has a habit of quietly snoring if you two do a lot in the day or after the two of you were intimate. Don’t ask me why, but Cove definitely is a blanket hog, but after you wake him up to have him give you some of the blankets, he will sleepily and excessively apologize.

This blog is going to be something new, so if you were expecting a HB or HH Critique, don't worry it's coming. Today I'm really going to criticize MHA and something I didn't like in My Hero Academia's War Arc that being, Midnight's Death.

The War Arc in MHA isn't the perfect Arc and in my opinion, isn't really my favorite arc either. There were stakes and potential in this arc that were erased later on such as Deku's arms, but there's one thing in this arc that I didn't like and that's Midnight's death.

Midnight isn't my favorite character, but I knew that she is a fan favorite and she's one of the teachers in UA High that has a lot of screen time. I believe she's only behind Aizawa and technically Toshinori Yagi (All Might), but you guys are all free to correct me on that. I read the manga and when I first saw Midnight die, legitimately I was mad and my anger honestly fueled up more once the manga continued. At first, I was mad that she died, but now I'm just mad that she had a pretty bad death and wasn't even mentioned later on. So I'm gonna start with what I don't like the most.

She died by random villains

Midnight died by some random ass villains that we never heard of and she was seemingly jumped by them as well. I know people die in wars and I know that you can't expect everyone to live, but come on. She's one of the more developed characters in MHA if you count Vigilantes and was in MHA since the beginning, yet you let her die by random villains that we don't even know the names of?

With how powerful Class 1-A or Class 1-B is, I'm pretty sure that the stronger or even the at least average members of those classes are able to beat up those villains. I am aware that Midnight was injured, but her quirk literally allows people to fall asleep with the effect working stronger on men. And what gender were the villains that jumped her? All male. Yes two of them had a gas mask, but Midnight does have combat skills aside from her quirk.

So that's one complaint, let's move onto another

Minor Characters have had better-written deaths than Midnight

For this argument, I'm just going to bring up one character that in all honesty had a better and more understandable death than Midnight and that character is Crust. Crust is the 6th highest-ranked hero in Japan and he died after saving Aizawa due to the speed of Shigaraki's decay quirk catching up to him.

Now this death is pretty understandable as Shigaraki is one of the most powerful characters in MHA and his quirk is immediate death once it makes contact with you. So why am I comparing these two deaths? Well, Crust's death makes sense while Midnight's doesn't. She fell from a tall height and was also possibly crushed by the debris that Mr. Compress spawned and was injured as a result then she was jumped by some villains she most definitely could've defeated unless those villains are powerful too. That's fine and well until you realize that Izuku completely shattered his arms and was still able to fight, Bakugo was impaled and even tried to fight, and Mr. Compress had a chunk of his torso missing and still tried to fight.

So why should her death make sense when there are characters that had more damage inflicted on them and survived? Crust's death made sense because he was disintegrated and his quirk couldn't counter Decay, meanwhile, Midnight was jumped while injured and possibly didn't even defeat the villains that jumped her. So onto my next complaint.

She was barely brought up after the war

Midnight was never really mentioned or even bought up after the War Arc which is honestly pretty disappointing. Midnight wasn't brought up again past the War Arc despite the fact that Aizawa was her best friend since their teenage years and Mina and Momo were her students she had a close bond with. I won't be elaborating further here because I'll go into manga spoilers. Onto my next complaint

Characters that should've died, didn't

Many other major characters in My Hero Academia who have suffered through fatal wounds and injuries that should've killed them, did not die. Yet Midnight who at most was injured by Mr. Compress was killed by being jumped by a bunch of villains that we don't even know. There are a couple of instances where characters should've died, but they didn't, and I'm gonna use the most popular instance. Bakugo was impaled by Shigaraki/AFO in multiple areas yet he was still alive and even tried to fight throughout the War Arc. There's no way that Shigaraki/AFO intentionally or unintentionally missed any vital organs that Bakugo was stabbed through, yet he survived and even had some energy left to fight.

Gran Torino should've straight up died when Shigaraki plunged his fist into the old man's abdomen but it's revealed that he was alive and was injured. Ok wait, Gran Torino was able to survive getting impaled by Shigaraki but Sir Nighteye wasn't able to survive getting impaled by a sharp stone?

Pixie Bob honestly should've died too when Shigaraki's decay wave caught up to them. Yeah, she can manipulate the Earth around her, but how can she manipulate something that's being disintegrated.

Also, Gran Torino points out that even a small speck of the debris can disintegrate someone upon contact, it's wildly convenient that Pixie Bob wasn't even touched by the decaying debris.

This can also extend to a certain villain, Mr. Compress who had a chunk of his torso missing and was knocked out by Mirio. However he didn't die despite the fact that a chunk of his torso missing, he likely lost a lot of blood, and he could've been in shock. So he really could've died in three separate ways, but he didn't.

So remind me again why those characters didn't die, but Midnight did? Well, I have a reason why.

Killed for shock

Yeah, I believe Midnight was killed for shock value, similar to why Bakugo was presumed to be dead in that same arc, shock value. Midnight was inflicted wounds that other characters could survive, she wasn't brought up either by the students or Aizawa or Present Mic in the future, and she just died from characters we've never heard of.

I wouldn't have minded if Midnight died, but give us a long-term impactful and understandable death and not a short-term semi-impactful and BS death. Anyway, thank you all for reading this blog and I hope you all have a nice day! ❤️

What's your opinion on bamon friendship if you would call it that ?

I haven't read the books but I think it's a shame that their relationship isn't the same in the tv show. From what I heard of the books they have a special sort of connection, share a kiss or two, and I think he respects her and he's a better friend?

In the show well, short answer I don't really like it, it's inconsistant and I'm not convinced of their friendship. Sometimes he's the only one who even thinks of her, but a lot of time she's not a priority for him (his number 1 priority is Elena), at best she's a second choice for him.

Don't quote me on this, because I watched the show on and off while it still aired on tv, so it was a long time ago. I didn't watch season 7 & 8, just some scenes. So my knowlege of tvd is not extensive :-)

What I like:

They share some cute moments. In season 6, I liked some of their banter and dynamic. I think the actors have moments of chemistry, they help eachother, and went through a lot together.

There's too much things unsaid and unexplored. But that would be a lot to ask for a 2009 cw vampire show.

What I dislike:

From what I remember, in the first season Damon harass Bonnie, who is just a young teen, he attacks her and rips her throat (!), he's constantly in her face. There's little we know about how she dealt with that trauma. Especially when Sheila dies and there's no one to protect her from him and other threats. In tvd, young humans have to deal the consequences of vampire actions, and Bonnie is singled out, because she doesn't have time to grieve and heal.

What I dislike about Damon's character:

Somehow he changed from the bad guy in the first seasons to lead romantic character. But he didn't have a clear redemption arch. He's just always forgiven, the bad has done (killing, harassing, manipulating, lying...) is magically forgotten and forgiven. He's tortured but he doesn't re-evalute himself.

Something that bothers me in their characters building or lack of:

It has a lot to do with the show's disregard for POCs and Bonnie's mistreatement. As well as the show's runner blatant favoritism for Damon.

It bothers me that we know a lot of Damon, his past life, his emotions and torments, his motives, his dreams and ambitions, his relationships, but we know too little of Bonnie. For most of the duration of the show, her scenes are few and far between and are quite short. Even with Kat Graham did a lot with the little she had, she just doesn't get to be a fully fleshed character. It's like she's not allowed to have negative feelings towards her friends or normal reactions, like grieving, resentement, healing, setting boundaries. There's a lack of balance and equality between the two characters. I think it's why I'm not convinced of their friendship. If she was "allowed" to do be, it would be so much more interesting and complex and belivable that she choose to befriend him.

Bonnie's moral compass is really strange (something I don't completely understand).

What I dislike about their friendship/ how they wrote it in the show:

It's not that they don't have a friendship but it doesn't seem healthy to me. He might grew respects that she stands up to him, and respect the amount of her power, but he also calls her useless when she is powerless...There's lack of trust and honesty and mutual respect... There's no way around it, TVD has a problem with not making its main male characters not abusive. Bonnie is loyal to a fault even though she's used as a plot device. And like everyone else Damon uses her magic. Even though it's dangerous for witches to push their magic too much, they can die. Which she did at least twice. He belittles her when she doesn't have her power. During season 6, he calls her useless all the time.

Also, there's some weird dynamic where she's supposed to be special for Damon, like his best friend, but when you pay attention he lies to her, when it's convenient for him. Like when he wants to get Lily's back, even though she's a dangerous reaper. He doesn't care about the consquences on human lives. It's selfish. She's in the middle of what Damon wants and need. The writers did that again, with Kai spell linked to Bonnie and Elena, which makes Damon resent her for being alive...I remember one of the show runners saying the only reason Bonnie is alive is because Elena is dead. So by convinence.

The show runner's were adamant about not giving Bonnie too much limelight or romantic partners even though it's a show about vampire / occult romance! I'm not a Bamon shipper or enthusiat but they were popular and the actors seemed happy to have more scenes together. Maybe that's a second reason why I think there friendship looks "strange" or ambiguous? I think other viewers, especially poc ones, will agree, that the way Bonnie is treated just hurts :(

2. a compelling argument for why your fave would never top or bottom

idk how compelling this is but the reason i think it's so hard for me to write gamora as a bottom is that she was never really given power/control growing up, so the fact that she has it in the bedroom is very liberating and makes her a lot more comfortable. i think she could be very switchy but i personally could never write her as strictly a bottom.

don't have a screenshot but any variation of "gamora's ending was good actually you're all just mad that she didn't end up back with quill and that's misogynistic" posts. that's not why we're mad and also wanting to see a female character be in a romantic relationship is not misogynistic at all?? need people to unlearn the 2016 buzzfeed "being a strong female character™️ means you cannot have any romantic connections ever" brand of feminism (which is not actually feminism, idk what it actually is but it's something along the lines of girlboss capitalism pushed by male hollywood executives).

8. common fandom opinion that everyone is wrong about

i don't see rocket as groot's dad. i feel like peter fulfills that role more and while rocket and groot are definitely closer and rocket is shown to be a disciplinary figure towards him i've always believed their best friend dynamic from vol 1 carried over to the new groot as well. i view rocket more as groot's super cool chill uncle who he can go to sneak a beer and talk shit with at family gatherings.

9. worst part of canon

toss-up between gamora's death and the fact that she was sidelined in vol 3. i'm sorry but i cannot believe james thought not showing a single scene of her with the ravagers before the ending was a good idea. showing not telling is like the number one rule in storytelling, you can just tell me 2014!gamora has a better relationship with the ravagers than she ever did with the guardians and expect me to believe it. also aging down phyla.

10. worst part of fanon

the constant sidelining of gamora (don't even try to deny it it's very obvious, esp after vol 3), the dumbing down of quill (he's not an incompetent leader and he doesn't spout pop culture references 24/7, he's a human being with flaws who at his core is a good person and good leader), the weird ass ships (once again no matter how anthropomorphic he is rocket is still a RACCOON), people who don't read comics but pretend like they know the comic characterizations of characters.

20. part of canon you found tedious or boring

kraglin uhhhh as much as i love vol 2 i never cared much for the ravagers b plot, i can take it or leave it. it does lead to a very emotional ending but i never find myself paying too much attention to the yondu/rocket/groot scenes on my rewatches.

Lux

Sexuality Headcanon:Nilfgaardian. Does not discriminate. My headcanon of Nilfgaard is a society where sexually discriminating between genders or races is considered backwards, small-minded and overall "Northern". Certain paradigms that other societies have, are not conveyed there, and as such Lux grew up without really understanding what some other cultures believe to be approrpiate, or right, or not.

So let's just quote what the Nilfgaardian Secret Service has on him:

Proclivities: Nilfgaardian, does not discriminate. Goes for girls from the land, in females, might have a tendency for older partners in men.

Gender Headcanon:cis Male.

A ship I have with said character: Emhyr/Lux. Yes it's another Emhyr/OC ship, but there we are. Their story cannot even be called a proper affair, or could not, for a long time. Lux is the Captain of the Royal Impera, the longest-lasting during Emhyr's rule and damn good at protecting his Emperor. Their affair began either in a crisis or a moment of frustrated weakness on the side of Emhyr. Those rare encounters were indulgences on Emhyr's side, as he otherwise does not allow for any such distractions, and usually had no affairs. And for a long time their relationsip consisted more of the things not said, than of the things said. On Lux's side, are rather strong feelings for Emhyr, which he usually hides very well, channelling them into duty. Lux knows he loves Emhyr, and that such a love is doomed even in the best of cases. He knows he might die on day, because of said affair, and he's okay with that too. To Emhyr Lux has become a sanctuary and an aggrevating weakness, but for most of it, he cannot let go of his beautiful heretic. Emhyr and Lux have a twenty year age difference, which doesn't detract the slightest from their attraction.

A BROTP I have with said character: Bran de Valcoris. Lux's Lieutenant, best friend, co-conspirator in the eternal hunt for assassins, poisoners and traitors, who is almost like a brother to him. Bran and Lux met in the Red Infantery, on risky missions for the Imperial Secret Service, and were a match made in fire. Both risk-takers, both without anything to tie them down (Lux is an orphan and Bran is at odds with his house), and both loving to tackle the things others deem impossible. Lux had a background in the civil war, which was the reason why he was promotoed above Bran, something he doesn't mind at all. He has no wish to deal with their capricious boss up close and personal on a daily basis. Bran is also one of the very few people, who can see beneath Lux's facade, and is aware of Lux's true feelings for Emhyr. He too knows, that this cannot end well, but is still determined to make sure that Lux comes out of that one alive.

A NOTP I have with said character: About anyone else. While I have backstories for Lux, who had his flings as a youth during the civil war, there is no other serious ship for him atm.

A random headcanon: Lux can listen to the most scathing rant or verbal dressing down by Emhyr without so much as flinching. What others in court or Impera fear - getting berated his Majesty, seems to pearl off him like water off a duck's back. In truth Lux sees that Emhyr is at his most verbally brilliant when he lets his anger get the better of him, and lists the personal and moral failings of someone in imaginative detail. The fact that Lux can listen to such a rant and smile, confuses Emhyr to no end, especially as it almost comes to that situation when Lux insists on a safety measure, Emhyr finds tedious.

General Opinion over said character:Lux began as a side character in another story, simply because I needed a person to able to talk, and interact with other characters, and got bored with just "the Impera Officer". So Lux was born, and thanks to some inspiration from @do_androids_dream swiftly became his own character and got his own story. His story allowed me also to peek a little into the late years of the Usurper's rule and the rebellion that would ultimately remove that man. With writing Lux there also was the chance to play around with the religious side of Nilfgaard, the state religion, with the Emperor at it's head (in my version he is considered a deity incarnate) and the splinter groups diverging from that fate, as I knew early that Lux was a heretic. (His main heretical opinion being that Emhyr is a man not a god, something that many true faith Nilfgaardians find deeply deplorable.) It also gave an interessting balance to the character between his beliefs, and what he has to protray to the outside, as an officer of Impera.

First off everyone Happy Valentine's Day 💕 and for those of you that are blissfully happy, congrats, and for those still open to create that next wild love affair, keep the faith. 🙏🏻 This picture is of my Mystic Fish, his given name and his nickname is Mighty Mouse!  He loves these fish and is napping on the fishtank!  He is a male Calico which is very rare! 🐈 He rolled up one day in our backyard in the young kitten stage and he's been a pampered boy ever since! 😻  He runs the show and is very social with all other cats and people and I get intuitively that he was previously an alien's pet. 🤯  All cats are unique, as are dogs and all other pets, and like people we all have our preferences and opinions. 🙂 So what do you love that you need more of?
