Fun fact: the previous doodle i did i intended for him to be holding a sword but then it got in the way of like the rest of the drawing so i decided to go without one which makes it looks like he’s reaching for something that isn’t there and that lead to these visuals

𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐍 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐊𝐄𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐊𝐀𝐖𝐀𝐒𝐀𝐊𝐈 𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐉𝐀 𝐇2𝐑 at the back of the baby blue two story house. Crossing over the wall wasn't so hard anymore after doing so many times. He ghosted across the back yard and climbed on to the maple tree before he was standing in front of the familiar window that led to your bedroom, separating you from him.
Eren stepped ahead on the rough branch leading right to the window. The glass window was left open as if you knew he would come by. He slid it open and he jumped inside the room with a thud but not loud enough to alert your parents who were fast asleep two rooms down the hallway. You were fast asleep under the fluffy comfort of the duvet.
Eren tiptoed to the bathroom and opened the door with as little noise as possible. You had been whining about the ongoing exam and how much pressure it was giving you. Eren knew he could give you the world you wanted. You only had to tell him with your sweet voice and he would bring the whole world to your feet. But he also respected your decision to do something yourself, to be independent.
Getting rid of any and every piece of clothing, Eren stepped under the shower head. Warm water glided down his body, soothing away all the tension in his muscles. Eren tangled a hand through the wet locks and tilted his head back. Drops of water pitter-pattering on his eyes and lips. His heart was felt with nothing but detest and abhor. He loathed everything, from the waking moment to the last awake second everyday.
Eren sometimes feared what he would do if you had not graced his life that one afternoon of mid-march.
The intense hit of boot against your belly sent a jolt of acute pain through your body. It would leave a ugly bruise you were sure. The blood had already dried under your nose long ago, now the area just  felt tight and itchy. The next hit came down hard on your head, almost knocking you out.
“Do you have some screws loose in your head?” Your attacker shouted, stomping on your crouched body that stayed laying down on the cold floor of an empty classroom, “I clearly told you to finish my assignment and hand it over to teach. Then why the fuck is he saying I didnt submit my work?”
Two of his minions didn't try even the slightest to suppress the snickers. Standing behind their leader as if he was doing something great.
“It was your assignment. Why should I do it?” Each trembling word that came out of your mouth, hurt your throat like hell. But it was not worse than the torture you had been enduring for the past two months. Precisely two and half months ago, you moved to this new city because of your father’s transfer. It had been two months since you started attending ‘Heritage High’ and every single student here had made it their job to bully the life out of the new student. Louise Liebert being the leader of them all.
He was the kid who was never told ‘no’ in his entire life. So, when you, being the reserved kid you were, denied to exchange your new fountain pen with his already half used ball pen, it hurt his ego and he made it his mission to fill your days in the school with hurt and sorrow. The pain was special to you, your grandpa had gifted it to you for the new journey you were going to start. He always had it with him wherever he went. He called it his lucky star but it didn't seem to have much luck for your case.
Complaining to your parents got you nowhere when the school staff and children pledged for his innocence. You had a suspicion that it had something to do with his father being the mayor of the town. The only thing you accomplished was proving yourself to be a liar to your parents and increased bullying.
“Looks like you still have the energy to argue, huh?” Adler, the tall and abnormally skinny guy on his right scoffed.
“All that beating was not enough for you was it?” Baldur, the shorty onLouise’s left sneered down at you.
Louise brought his face to your level, a vicious smirk on his face, “Do you need a dick in your mouth to shut up like your mommy dearest?”
You didn't know what happened but the second those words left his stinky mouth, you shot up. Your head hitting his jaw as he went back flying, slamming his head on the hard floor. The room echoed the crazy screams of three individuals. A sense of fight or flight knocked you and you were sprinting out of the room, running through the empty hallway with three angry bulls running after you. As much as scared you were, you were also very proud of yourself. You hoped he cracked his head.
You ran and ran fast. If they got their hands on you then you were sure that you would be going home with more than just black eyes. Running up the stairs, you threw the door in front of you with a screech. They were just a few steps away from you as you pushed the door with your whole body and tried to shut the door. But your tired body was too weak against three of them.
The door swung with force, tripping you backwards on the ground. Fuck! They towered over your body, looking like hungry hyenas, very injured hyenas at that.If only you were not about to get beaten, you would have danced with joy. They closed in on you as you attempted to back away.
“Now what? Where are you gonna run now bitch!” Louise sneered.
“Why don't you worry about yourself first, Liebert…….” You see the colours drain from Louise’s face, not only him but also his minions. “......Quite the brevery you’ve got there.”
The more that deep voice spoke a little far behind you, the more shit scared those fuckers looked. Your head turned ever so slowly. The very familiar body of Eren Yeager lying on the hard bench. Suddenly jumping off the roof didn't seem that bad. If Louise was a hyena, then Eren was the lion. Eren was the nightmare of Marley. Notorious, cruel, and brutal were the words that describe him. The only son of Grisha Yeager, the successor of Lupus, the biggest underworld gang. They didn't have to hide in the shadows, no, they wore suits and flaunted themselves in the broad daylight. The government was run by the rats of Lupus.
Eren lived up to his name, Hel, beautiful on one side and cruel on the other. He had everyone in Heritage High walking on eggshells. In attempt of saving yourself from one trouble, you threw yourself in the tiger’s den.
“E-Eren–” Louise squicked rather embarrassingly, “We–”
“Since when are we on a first name basis?” His tone was nonchalant but even you could feel the threat underneath.
Eren leisurely brought himself up in a sitting position. His eyes looked this side on the floor and then that side, searching for something, before it landed on you. You could feel your heart in your throat. God! You didnt wanna be anywhere near that menace of a boy. He jerked his head to your right, pointing at something.
What is it? A bat like his last victim? Or a gun like the one before that?
You follow his gaze, landing on a black bag and an unopened can of soda. You prayed to all the gods in existence that he meant the soda can as you hurriedly scooted over to bring it to him. He glanced at your hands holding out the can for him before staring at you with a raised eyebrow. WHAT NOW?
You glanced at the can before realization drew onto you. Dumbass! You used all the strength you had and opened it and offered him again. This time Eren took the can, taking a sip of the cold drink.
“Sir Yeager, everything is this bitch’s fault.” Alder spoke up, “Had she not run in here, we would have never disturbed you.”
“Yes sir, we were teaching her a lesson but this bitch–” Baldur backed him.
Eren took another sip, “Lesson? What is this great lesson of yours?”
The three exchanged worried glances and finally the biggest asshole of the group spoke up, “We were doing this for you sir.”
“Yes we caught her bad mouthing you–”
“That's not true!!” You almost yelled in fear, “I–”
Eren held up a hand, shutting you up and signed for them to continue. You could see relief sinking on them. Their eyes glinted with smugness.
Louise continued with all the arrogance in his voice, “She was talking shit about you and we told her that she should not do that, she said that “Eren can suck my dick” that you are a lousy fucker who uses his father to get away with everything.”
         “Is that so?”
You felt your heart sink. Eyes prickled with tears and nose burned like hell as you grasped what was going to happen. The best would be if he straight up strangled you to death. Your head bowed down in the last attempt of saving yourself from further embarrassment. But did that even matter anymore?
You saw Eren throwing the can to the side, out of sight, and stood up and you instinctively backed away two steps. You waited for the blow to come, you waited and waited and waited because the blow never came. But a loud thud along with a piercing scream echoed on the rooftop, scaring away the pigeons there alongside you. Your bread shot up and the scene before you left you gasping.
Dulder’s body stayed slumped against the wooden door with his head shoved into the, now broken, door. Blood pooled around his quivering form and splattered on walls, his friends and most of all, on Eren himself.
Eren grabbed Louise’s coller and brought him up to his eye lever, “You think i'm one of your minions or something that i'll believe whatever you say?”
Eren had a good five inches on Louise. His toes were barely touching the floor and that left him gasping for air, “I’m t-telling…… the…t-truth–”
“So you are saying that you think–no, believe that I should suck your dick? That I get away with everything because of my father?” Eren tilted his head to the side and scoffed, “Do you also think that my father can stop me from beating you to death? Let’s do a little test.”
The next few minutes were like hell. You could hear every sound of bone cracking whenever Eren landed a punch. Every splash of blood and the groans of pain. You had slouched yourself in a crouched position, facing the wall, in the last attempt of saving yourself. When it finally stopped, you found yourself unable to relax because he was still there. The next could be you.
Sniffles were uncontrollable, you were probably shaking like you were being electrocuted. You heard steps closing on you before stopping right behind you.
“Oii…” You felt a light kick on the back of your leg, “Are you seriously crying? After I beat your bullies?”
You tried to at least say one word but your throat was clogged with sniffles. He sighed as if you were a lost cause.
“So ungrateful. Not even a thanks.” Something fell on your head, a blazer, hiding you from the outside world, “You stink man! Go take a shower.”
With that he left you, alone, on the rooftop, with thousands of thoughts and maybe a little bit of relief. For Eren those were the best minutes he wasted and that he will never regret.
“What are you thinking about?” You asked with your ever so soft voice as you ran your hands through his long hair from the back.
“You.” Eren replied without a hint of hesitation.
You dragged your fingers down his neck and started massaging his tensed shoulder and his back.
“Another meeting with your dad?” you received a hum in response, “Then you must be tired?”
         “Mm-hmm.”
         “Frustrated?”
         “Mmm.”
“Should I do something…….to take off the load?”
You could feel the smirk on his face without even seeing it, “You know just the thing to relieve me, don't you?”
Eren didn't give you a second to reply as he turned to you, grabbing your neck, and pulled you in an intense kiss. You were just as eager to meet his passion, shoving your tongue his mouth and exploring each and every corner. He pushed you against the glass door of the shower. His hand glided down your chest, brushing on your peaked nipples and down your hip.
Giving a tap on your thigh, he whispered against your lips, “Jump.”
Your hands find themselves tangled in his soaked hair and he uses his arm to support you in the air. Eren broke the kiss, out of breath, smoke coming out of your mouth and mixing in the middle. You feel his tip poking your wet pussy. Eren glids his tip along your lips, teasing you.
“Just put it in.” You whined in a breathless tone.
Oh! How adorable you look, begging for his cock.
         “As you wish, baby.”
He forced his cock in one go, making you moan  as the back of your head hit the glass. His hips slammed against your inner tight in a burning rhythm. Eren placed kisses along your neck that you were sure ws gonna leave dark purple bruises before he took one of the hard buds in his mouth. Sucking and twirling it his tongue.
He dragged his dick out till it was just the tip inside and then thrusted it all back inside. Your clammy walls stretched with every push. You could feel it, the familiar knot in your stomach. Eren increased his pace, closing in. Your hand tightly fisted his hair as you let yourself fall apart in his warm embrace. Not seconds later he shot stings of hot cum in you, filling up your inside. Still inside’ he pulled in a kiss but this time it was soft, delicate and full of tender love. ・₊﹆ɞ‧₊

you could wrap your head around it. why - why he hated you so much..
“ get outta my way y’damn extra! ”
gosh he was so mean. a- always shouting at you, there was no inside voice with him..
you tried just ignoring him, averting your gaze in the hall, but he was just so, so damn pretty you couldn’t find it in you to look away.
“ don’t worry about him, bubbles. he’s just a stick in the mud.. ” tsu said, nudging your shoulder. you took a breath as you finally pulled your gaze from bakugo. you turned to tsu, heart beating slightly faster than normal, and eyes drier than what you were used to.
“ s- sorry what? ” he made you distracted. completely derailing your train of thought with a grinding halt.
“ oh my gosh you like him, don’t you! ” you swatted ochaco’s arm, almost offended she thought such a thing.
she wasn’t wrong.. spot on in fact.
you couldn’t deny the feelings you had for your classmate, for your neighbor.
you threw your face in your hands, deep frown tugging at your lips. you squeezed your eyes shut as a warm hand landed on your back.
“ it will be okay bubbles, just don’t think about it.. okay? ” you heard ochaco’s voice say. you outwardly groaned, pushing all the air out your lungs.
the end of the day couldn’t come fast enough. you were overstimulated - the shuffling footsteps were too loud, the sliding of the classroom doors.. it was too much. you didn’t know you were shaking until you put your hands on the water fountain. you barely heard the footsteps approaching you from behind - everything seemed so dulled.. at least with the blood pounding behind your ears.
“ goddammit can’t get something to drink without- ”
“ why do you hate me so bad, hm? what could i have done when these are the first sentences i am ever speaking to you. ” your body didn’t give you a chance to process - give him a chance you process. you were already sliding open the door to your classroom when the words you said to him sank in.
he didn’t say anything to you since then. he didn’t look your way, and you didn’t look his. it was only a week since your last interaction, and yet bakugo couldn’t get you out of his head. across the lunch room, he watched you with narrowed eyes, palms sweatier than normal.
denki pulled away from conversation with their friends to look at bakugo following his gaze, a wide grin settling on his face.
“ dude, just go up to her. ” bakugo didn’t yell, to his friends’ surprise. all he did was push his chair out, the sound of which made everyone turn to face him, grab his tray and dump it before walking out. his hands were shoved into his pocket, lips fumbling with curse words as he made his way out of the cafe.
you were sound asleep, dreaming of something undeniably and utterly outlandish when you heard faint taps. you pulled yourself from sleep, you waited a while but you didn’t hear anymore. with a roll of your eyes, you laid back down, sinking back into your duvet sheets. just as you were drifting, the taps started again. they were coming from your window.
you pulled yourself out of bed, annoyance pooling at your throat. you pushed the curtains aside to see bakugo, pillow and tiny rocks in his hands.
what was he doing here?
you pushed up the window, looking down at him.
“ what? ” you whisper yelled he made his way up to your window, still holding the pillow.
“ can’t sleep. ” you pulled him in and watched him take off his shoes, when he looked back at you, his eyes were red, puffy. your eyes narrowed at the sight,
he walks over to your bed and sits on it, tossing the pillow somewhere with the rest of the ones on your bed. you followed him, questioning his puffy eyes.
“ have you been crying? ” he looked at you, glaring - no he was squinting - at you. you stood in front of him, arms crossed as you waited for a response.
“ don’t wanna talk about it. ” you frown but hold yourself back from rolling your eyes. you look for a response, eyes looking anywhere but his. you don’t feel his arms going around your waist when you find an answer.
“ then why are you here? ” your body stiffens, his head was pressed into your stomach, strong arms around your waist holding you tighter.
“ i need you.. ” you laugh instinctively, covering your mouth to not wake your parents.
“ you hate me, bakugo. ” you mumbled, you looked down at him, hoping he wouldn’t feel your bounding heart. bakugo’s arms didn’t release you when he laid down in your bed. a strangled yelp left your lips as you fell on his chest.
“ well i need you more than i hate you right now.. ”

ateez - school preparations

"this is not what i signed up for when i offered to help," you say to your friend as both of you organize papers for an upcoming school event.
"tell me about it," she replies to you. "okay, i'll go staple all of these, but we still need to get the list of what the clubs are doing for the fair."
"i can go run around and do that. i'll ask the art club about flyer ideas too," you say to her.
your friend smiles at you. "you just want to go see your boyfriend, don't you?" she asks.
"...maybe," you reply and smile, making both of you laugh. "ask about the decorations for homecoming if the others ever come back," you say to her.
"got it."
you grab a clipboard and leave the classroom you're in. you head down the hall and go to a few rooms where various clubs are meeting. you ask them about their ideas for an upcoming school event and write them down.
"i know it's last minute, but think of some more ideas just in case this one is taken. i don't think it will, but you never know," you say to an officer for one of the clubs.
she nods, "yea sure. thanks y/n."
"thank you. see you tomorrow," you say to her and leave the classroom.
you leave the hallway and walk past the gym. you hear doors open behind you and turn your head to see yunho walking out of the gym with his water bottle in hand.
"oh, yunho!" you call for him and fully turn around.
"what's up?" yunho asks with a smile as he walks to a water fountain. you walk up to him while he fills his bottle with water.
"are you guys doing something for the after school event next week?" you ask him.
"mm...i think all of the sports teams are doing stuff outside," yunho answers. "to be honest, i just show up when they tell me to show up," he says to you.
"understandable," you reply to him.
one of the doors leading to the gym opens. mingi pops out, "hey yunho. hurry up," the assistant says to his friend. "oh, hey y/n."
"hi mingi," you greet him.
"mingi, you know what we're doing for the thing next thursday?" yunho asks while walking towards mingi, eventually passing him to stand inside of the gym.
"uh, i think we're making a mini obstacle course for kids to play on?" mingi replies. "not really sure, but i think i heard someone say that most of the sports teams are doing stuff outside for younger kids," he says and opens the door a bit. "why?" a whistle blows from inside the gym.
"student council is trying to get organized before the meeting tomorrow," you reply. "thanks."
mingi nods, "no problem. see you later," he says before going into the gym, letting the door close by itself.
you start walking down a hallway and soon find yourself peeking your head into a classroom where one of the music clubs is meeting.
"hey, hongjoong," you call out to the senior, who is playing an electric guitar.
hongjoong looks up and smiles. he stops playing and puts the guitar down before walking over to you.
"hey, what's up?" he asks you.
"what are you guys doing for the event?" you ask.
"oh, we're gonna make the classroom into like a mini game that the kids can go through and earn prizes. it's all music related and really easy," he answers you.
"can you write it down for me? student council wants it," you reply.
he nods, "yea." hongjoong takes the clipboard from you and starts writing.
"since when were you on student council?" you look over and see jongho walking over to you and hongjoong.
"i'm not. i just said i'd help out," you reply, "and all of the officers are probably hanging out in the parking lot," you add with a sigh.
"you did that to yourself," hongjoong says to you.
you roll your eyes at him. "don't remind me."
"you should join us so you don't have to do any of that," jongho suggests.
you smile, "yea, i might just have to," you say to him. hongjoong hands you the clipboard back. "thanks," you say and draw some lines to separate the multiple writings that have been written already. "i gotta go. i'll see you guys tomorrow."
"take it easy," hongjoong says.
"we'll see about that," you reply and leave the classroom.
you go to the other clubs in the hallway and have students write down everything you need. there's a lot of clubs at your school, and it's honestly making you tired with how many you've gotten to so far.
while walking out of a classroom, you check what clubs you need to look for next. then, you check your phone and see texts from your boyfriend. you decide to go to his club since you haven't gone to it yet.
it doesn't take you long, but you reach the dance club's rehearsal room and find them in the middle of dancing. you wait by the door and watch them practice a routine for the homecoming event.
"oh, y/n, what brings you here?" seonghwa asks as he stands on the sidelines of the room.
"need to know what the club is doing for the event," you reply.
"we're almost done with this dance. i'll write it down afterwards," he says to you.
you nod. seonghwa jogs to the center of the room and joins in.
you lean against the door and watch them finish up the routine. once they're done dancing, another song comes on and a smaller group of people start dancing.
"sorry about that," seonghwa says when he returns to you.
you shake your head, "it's all good," you reply. you hand the clipboard to him and seonghwa starts writing on a fresh sheet of paper.
"hey hot stuff," a familiar voice says and puts their arm around your waist.
"hi babe," you say to wooyoung. he kisses your cheek. "how's practice going?" you ask.
"it's going good," wooyoung answers. "don't you think, hyung?" he asks seonghwa.
seonghwa looks over at the people dancing for a second before continuing to write. "it's going really good," he replies.
you notice yeosang and san talking to each other while standing next to a pile of backpacks and other belongings. you wave and yeosang notices. they both wave back and approach you.
"y/n, finally going to join?" san asks you.
"not a chance," you answer.
"aw, babe. we could do a couple dance. it'd be so cute," wooyoung says with a bit of pout. he moves to hug your from behind and to rest his head on your shoulder.
"there is no way in hell i'm doing a couple dance," you say to all of them.
yeosang chuckles, "i think y/n would rather die than dance."
"you're not totally wrong on that," you say to him.
wooyoung squeezes his arms around you, "no! you can't say that! how am i supposed to dance with you at our wedding?" he asks.
the guys burst out laughing while you groan, "can i leave?"
"i'm all done," seonghwa says and hands you the clipboard.
"you're not leaving," wooyoung says to you.
"san, can you grab him please?" you ask.
"i'll grab him and you run."
"babe, you’re not leaving!”
"okay, we'll get started so all of you can get back to your clubs," the president of student council says to everyone the room. "thank you to all of you for your interest, but it has come to our attention that some clubs and organizations want to do the same things. to make things fair, we'll do a drawing for those clubs that wish to do the same thing."
you lean against a wall while watching the student council officers organize everything so clubs can get their final assignments for the school event.
"hey cutie."
you look over and see wooyoung walking over to you. you smile at him.
"hi handsome," you greet. he wraps his arms around your waist and leans against the wall with you. "you guys are set, huh?" you ask.
"it was easier to just do something outside. hopefully it won't rain," wooyoung says to you.
"please don't jinx it. they'll probably make me help out again, and i'm not even a part of student council," you say to him with a bit of a whine.
he kisses the top of your head, "everything will be fine.”
"hey y/n, come over and help us," one of the student council officers immediately calls you over.
you look over at wooyoung, who innocently smiles at you. "you jinxed me," you say to him.
"sorry," he apologizes before kissing your cheek.
you walk over to a desk and start helping the student council officers for the rest of the meeting. all of the clubs get their assignments and most of the officers start planning despite the meeting coming to an end.
"y/n," one of your friends calls you, "go. i'll clean everything up."
"you sure?" you reply.
she nods, "yea. go. wooyoung is ready to bounce," she says. you look over and see your boyfriend holding your backpack, waiting for you to be done.
"see ya."
"yea."
you walk over to your boyfriend and grab your backpack from him.
"ready to go?" he asks you.
"yea. let's go," you say to him.
you leave the classroom together and head for one of the emergency exit doors that people regularly use to leave the building.
"so, how do you feel about doing a couple dance?" wooyoung suddenly asks.
"in your dreams," you immediately reply to him. "go dance with san if you really want to do a couple dance."
"tempting."
"hey! you would dance with san but not your girlfriend?"
"you're the one who won't dance with me!"
you groan and roll your eyes, "i'll consider it. happy?" you reply.
wooyoung reaches in to kiss your cheek, "yep."

Giganterra (Chapter 21)

------ Chapter 21: Royal Lessons ------
A pit of dread settled in Milton’s gut as he gained passage to the castle courtyard, bright and early the next morning. He didn’t want to be here. King Richard severely creeped him out, and he couldn’t stop thinking about that poor little woman, so full of suffering, that he’d seen in the giant’s clutches. He couldn’t imagine what she had to endure, as his personal plaything. He’d witnessed the king fawning over her with tender love, but Hardon was not known for his clemency, even among the commoners.
Milton was forced to cancel with his other clients. At first, they voiced their displeasure, but once they heard that he was serving the king, their complaints died on their lips. Everyone knew not to cross King Richard. Milton tried to see the positives as he surveyed the magnificent statues and well-manicured gardens. The fragrance of fresh flowers and the steady trickle of a fountain, along with a modest stream that flowed through a channel for irrigation, helped to soothe his troubled mind. The courtyard was peaceful; his steps clacked off the cobblestones and echoed off the stone walls to break up the sound of water.
He found Leon waiting for him at the entrance to the castle. “Ah, Milton! Glad to see you!” Leon proclaimed with genuine enthusiasm. He was relieved that Milton came, so he wouldn’t have to send out soldiers to compel him.
Milton genially shook his hand. Leon had a weak grip that lacked confidence, as if he were afraid of squishing the other man’s hand. Milton was struck by the contrast between the headstrong, barbaric king and his wimpy, but kind-hearted, advisor. Leon led him into the castle and proceeded down a long hall, then descended a steep flight of stairs. He continued down a maze of corridors, deep into the bowels of the castle. Milton sensed they were going somewhere of grave importance, far within the inner sanctum.
Leon stopped at a large, ancient wooden door with thick iron trim and handles. “Here’s the library,” he explained. He inserted a key into the rusty lock and opened the enormous door with a heavy creak. The scratching of the key and the grating squeal of the door resounded through the musty air of the empty, otherwise quiet hall.
“Wow, I didn’t expect it to be so far underground,” Milton remarked. “You’d think it would be somewhere with windows for natural lighting, for reading. This feels more like a dungeon.”
“Well...” Leon paused. “This is no ordinary library. Not just anyone can access it.” Milton quirked a brow. “There are secrets here that must not leave the castle. You understand, yes? You can’t take any books home with you. You may only remove them from the library for instructional purposes.”
Milton nodded, his lips set into a firm line, but inside he was hopping with excitement. Leon earlier had mentioned historical documents, and he could scarcely fathom what sort of state secrets could be buried in the library’s collection, that he wouldn’t be able to find anywhere else. Milton was an intellectual who loved to read and learn, with a natural curiosity for the world around him. He couldn’t wait to dig in and do some research.
Leon handed him a copy of the big iron key. “As the royal tutor, you will have unlimited access to the library, for the sake of the prince and princess’s education. This is no small privilege; don’t misuse it.” Leon was very perceptive of others: He sensed that Milton was an upstanding fellow he could trust.
“Thank you.” Milton was rewarded with a brief glance at deep rows of shelves that burrowed into dim underground passages, before Leon closed the door and guided him back to the ground level of the castle. Leon showed him the classroom where he would be teaching, which had a small private study connected where he could plan lessons and leave his teaching materials as needed. Sturdy wooden cupboards lining the wall contained parchment, quills, books, ink, and an assortment of other supplies.
“How old are the royal children?” Milton asked. In his haste to escape the suffocating confines of the castle the prior day, the question had slipped his mind. He hadn’t been able to prepare or plan at all.
“Crown Prince Ronny is 21, and Princess Bianca is 19,” Leon informed him.
“Oh! So they are adults.” Milton rubbed his chin thoughtfully. He wasn’t certain what kind of instruction the royals would be expecting, but he hadn’t realized the prince and princess were already of age. He would have to adjust his lessons accordingly.
“Any other questions? I really must be going. The prince and princess will arrive for their lessons in about an hour.”
“I’m all set. Thanks.” Leon left, and Milton unshouldered his satchel with his teaching materials and hastened to slap together a lesson plan. He figured the first logical step would be an assessment to determine the level of instruction required, and what subjects needed additional coverage. While he toiled, Ronny and Bianca woke up, ate breakfast, and prepared for their day. Ronny forgot about Tanya, as he did the prior day, and didn’t bother to feed her or check on her. Bianca was determined to quell her troublesome feelings once and for all. She didn’t want to see her pets as people. Since she didn’t want to get attached, she ignored the human male that seemed to like her and picked up Graham instead, snapped him into her necklace, and stuffed him in between her boobs.
Milton barely managed to finish preparations before the royals walked in, announced by a servant. The tutor bowed, as he had seen Leon do earlier before the king. Prince Ronny raked him up and down with his dark, cold eyes before sitting sullenly in his chair. Princess Bianca flashed him a supercilious smirk and sat as far away from her brother as she could, with her chin resting lazily in her slim hand. Milton was intimidated by such illustrious personages but maintained an outward calm.
He cleared his throat. “Good morning. I’ve prepared a written exam for you two to take, to assess your competencies.” He was interrupted with a loud groan from Ronny and an eye roll from Bianca. Milton raised his brows in surprise, not expecting such puerile responses.
“Ugh, really? You’re going to make us waste our time with this?” Ronny complained. “It’s stupid enough that our father is forcing us to do lessons again.”
Milton was mildly flustered, but he didn’t allow his feelings to show on his face. He was here on order of the king: His authority superseded that of his offspring. “It’s necessary,” he replied simply. He handed each student their tests and they got to work, despite their complaints, since they did not wish to anger their father.
Milton sat at his desk and observed them as they took their exams. Ronny furrowed his brow in concentration and chewed absently on the end of his feather pen. Bianca became increasingly frustrated and confused as she perused the questions. She dipped her pen in the ink and scribbled in a few answers, then began doodling in the margins. Ronny gritted his teeth and crumpled the corners of the page as his temper flared at the difficulty of the test. He ran his hand over his slick black hair and massaged his forehead with his fingers, huffing dramatically once every few minutes.
Bianca got bored and started playing with her necklace. She fished out Graham from her cleavage and started fidgeting with him in her hands like a toy, tugging on his twiggy limbs and rotating him in her fingers. Graham wanted to scream at her and slap away her giant fingers, but he remembered what happened to Gio and kept his mouth shut, as infuriated as he was. Even so, small whines escaped his lips as he pushed back weakly in half-hearted protest. He hated the giantess with a passion, hated her every touch, hated to be prodded and pulled like an object.
Milton heard the odd noises and noticed Bianca wasn’t working on her test. He got up from his chair and came over to get her back on task. “Princess Bianca, you need to—what is that?” He stopped. At first, he thought she was fiddling with a doll, but then he noticed the small humanoid form was the thing making sounds. It wasn’t a doll: It was a living person. Milton was stunned.
“Is that—a man?” he asked incredulously.
“Yup,” Bianca replied. “Neat, huh? Isn’t he cute?” She giggled and held up Graham between her thumb and forefinger so the giant tutor could see him better. Graham couldn’t look the giant in the face, so strong was his shame over his own debasement. Milton was flabbergasted. Ronny glanced over at her in disgust.
“Cute? Yeah, right. Fucking gross. Nobody wants to see that; put him away,” he growled.
“Piss off, Ronny. Nobody cares about your opinion.” She stuck her tongue out at her brother, knowing how much her taunting irritated him. Ronny flipped around in his seat, his rage spiking.
Milton, nonplussed, turned to the prince. “Do you have a human too?” If both the king and the princess possessed a person, it seemed likely that the giant prince did as well.
Ronny seemed slightly flustered at the question, his wrath unexpectedly cooling. “Y-yeah,” he muttered gruffly.
“Here? Now?”
“Ugh, no!” Ronny snapped. “I didn’t even want one to begin with. Dad forced me to take one.” His face puckered up as if he just tasted something exceedingly bitter.
“You’re always so whiny and dramatic, Ronny,” Bianca interjected. Ronny’s face reddened with anger and he balled up his fists.
“Alright, enough. Back to your tests,” Milton interrupted before the siblings ripped out each other’s throats. “Bianca, put… him… away, please.” Milton swallowed and turned around with a sickened grimace. He couldn’t believe what he was witnessing. To see humans, so small and helpless, treated like accessories and abused, turned his stomach. He exhaled and smoothed his facial features into a normal expression before returning to his position at his desk.
He allowed the siblings a short break after they finished their quizzes and then reviewed the answers. He was dismayed to find gaping holes in their knowledge. They flunked every subject, from math to science to the humanities. Milton lectured a bit, asking additional questions, and the royals were clueless. They were rude and badly behaved as well: constantly insulting each other, arguing, whining and griping, diverting from the lesson, engaging in disruptive behavior, and disrespecting their new tutor. Finally, Milton decided to cut the lesson short and dismissed them. He sat with his elbows on his desk, cupped his head in his hands, and sighed.
“Well? How did their first lesson go?”
Milton leapt to his feet as if his chair had burst into flames and scrambled into a deep bow. “Um, very well, sir—I mean, Your Majesty?” He gulped. Of all people, he hadn’t anticipated King Richard walking in on him.
“Is that so? They haven’t engaged in formal studies in years. Not since I… dismissed their last tutor.” Hardon folded his lips back into an ominous sneer. Milton gulped again.
“Um… I did happen to notice that they seem far behind in their studies,” he admitted timidly.
King Richard frowned. “Hm?”
Milton handed the king their papers. “You can see for yourself, Your Grace…” He spun his wedding band on his finger anxiously as Hardon’s pale eyes swept the pages. The king absently reached for his necklace and pulled out Millie, cradling her in his palm and rubbing her with his fingers like she was merely a toy that existed for his amusement. His expression darkened and he squeezed his hand around her briefly, making her yelp.
“This is atrocious,” the king snarled. “I didn’t realize my kids were such dullards.” He crumbled the papers in his hand, his face blighted with rage. Millie whimpered. Milton’s heart broke when he heard the pitiable sound.
“Rest assured, I’ll teach them,” Milton promised, if only to mollify the king so he wouldn’t crush the poor woman in his grasp. “We’ll get them back on track where they’re supposed to be.”
“You’d better.” Milton shuddered internally at his sinister words, discerning the implicit threat. “They never should’ve neglected their studies, particularly my eldest son. I should’ve known they would fail me.” The room abruptly felt darker and colder. Milton almost felt like he was being squeezed in an oversized fist, not just Millie.
King Richard fixated on Millie, and his visage morphed into a hideous, furious, bloodthirsty leer. Her eyes grew wet with tears as she stared up at his giant face and squirmed in his palm. Milton felt like he couldn’t breathe.
“Millie, I think lunch would put me in a better mood,” the king sneered. Millie visibly flinched, her face white as a ghost.
“No, please have mercy,” she pleaded. Her voice dropped to a deathly whisper. “Don’t hurt me…” The king only grinned wider as he lumbered out of the room, hunching over her. Milton stood with his feet glued to the floor, listening as Millie pleaded. “Please, Your Majesty, I’ve been a good pet and done everything you’ve asked of me. Please don’t do this to me. Don’t eat me!”
As her voice grew fainter and farther away, his ears registered one last heartbreaking scream. “No!”

Tales of Bloody Bug and Chat Noir - Chapter 27 - Reeling
Beginning || Previous || Next
“We should have taken her to the hospital!” Chat Noir hissed.
Gallic Chick ignored Chat Noir as she tended to Alix.
“Well, she’s alive, right? Besides, with Gallic Chick’s Sublimation, we can get her right as rain in no time, right?” Porcelet pointed out.
“She almost died! She needs medical attention!” Chat Noir argued.
“Technically she did die, but I brought her back. You’re welcome,” Gallic Chick added.
Chat Noir groaned and plopped down on Chloe’s couch. He drummed his fingers against his arm and tapped his foot against the floor.
“Ugh! Porcelet! Take the cat to Carapace and see how the conversation is going with Nathaniel and that other boy.”
Porcelet nodded and ushered Chat Noir from the room. They headed down a few flights of stairs to a new floor up to a meeting room. They stepped inside to find Carapace, Nathaniel, and the other boy.
“Hi, Carapace. How are the talks going?” Porcelet asked.
“Huh? Oh, uh, I haven’t started?”
            “What? Why?”
“Oh, uh, waiting for someone else to, y’know, swing by and do it. Y’know?”
Porcelet sighed. She sat Chat Noir down, then took her own seat. “Alright, let’s begin this. I’m going to start with you. Could you tell me what your name is?”
            “Marc Anciel.”
“Marc, pleasure to meet you. I’m Porcelet. Tell me, what happened today that pushed you to accept a deal with Hawkmoth.”
“Well, I was writing a story based off the drawings Nathaniel had made that were posted to the school’s website. His work is just amazing, and I felt inspired. Marinette found me and urged me to meet her in the art classroom. I ran out after embarrassing myself but lost my journal. I was searching for it when Marinette returned it to me after she read it. She said she had a plan for getting Nathaniel to read it without him knowing it was me. I just… I didn’t think she would have erased my name from the front and tell Nathaniel whatever she did.”
“I see. Nathaniel, what did you do to Marc that really pushed him over the edge?” Porcelet asked.
“Well, I read the journal, which was titled Diary of Bloody Bug with no author name. I… I assumed Marinette managed to get the actual diary of Bloody Bug. I read it and it felt like I was reading her life and adventures that I was overjoyed. I wanted to meet with her again. Then Marinette said I could meet with the author of the diary, and I thought it was my chance to see Bloody Bug again. Then I saw Marc and I just… I got angry. I… tore up his work in front of him.”
“Oh, wonderful. Another insult to add to the list. First, you destroy a man’s passion project before his very eyes. Second, you tried to kill Alix!” Chat Noir roared.
“I…! I wasn’t trying to do that. I just… wanted to get her back for humiliating me!” Nathaniel countered.
            “By drowning her?”
“I… I don’t know what I was thinking when I was Evillustrator. Maybe Alix shouldn’t have thrown me into a fountain of freezing water in the freezing cold!”
“Now, hold on, everyone, please! This isn’t the time to be pointing fingers when everyone is at fault,” Porcelet said.
“What?” Nathaniel and Chat Noir yelled.
“I agree with Porcelet. Marinette messed up when it came to the whole journal thing. Nathaniel messed up when he ripped up Marc’s journal. And, of course, Alix messed up with her temper,” Carapace added.
“And Nathaniel needs to work on his too. Don’t put all the anger issues on Alix now,” Porcelet chided.
            Carapace shrugged.
“Now, Marc, Nathaniel, let’s see if we can’t work something out. Nathaniel, you really liked Marc’s work, yes?” Porcelet asked.
            “I did.”
“Good. And, Marc, you’d like to work with Nathaniel on his comic, right?”
Marc looked away. “I would, but I’m not sure if I want to.”
“Who would after all that?” Chat Noir remarked.
Nathaniel opened his mouth, but Porcelet put a hand up to silence him. She trotted over to Chat Noir, grabbed his face, and squished it.
“You. Are. Not. Helping! Please, keep your snide remarks to a zero while I work. The last thing we need is another Akuma right now.”
Chat Noir grumbled but kept his remarks to himself.
“Thank you. Now, Marc, why not give Nathaniel another chance? Things got a little… out of sorts, with Marinette’s involvement. Perhaps now, with the heroes, you two can try again. What do you say?”
            “I don’t know,” Marc muttered.
“I don’t see why we should do this. I don’t need any help writing my comic,” Nathaniel remarked.
            Marc flinched and looked away.
Porcelet put her hands over her heart, then smacked Nathaniel on the back of the head.
            “Ow! What was that for?”
“Forgive me, but you are a vile, rude boy. Shame on you! Carapace, take Nathaniel home.”
“And what about Marc?” Carapace asked.
Porcelet bounced over to Marc and took his hand. “Come with me. We’re going to the restaurant floor, grab some ice cream, and just pig out. And we’ll talk about that horrible Nathaniel without him and the cat. Oh! What if we watch a nice rom com? Would you like that?”
Marc’s eyes widened. “I… I would, but I’m sure you have better things to do than-.”
“Oh, nonsense. Gallic Chick is busy, and the boys are going to leave. So, let’s just relax and gossip without them. What do you say?”
            “If that’s ok,” Marc whispered.
Porcelet squealed and pulled Marc to his feet. “We’re off, boys, and Nathaniel. See you all later and stay out of trouble. And, Chat, go on back to-.”
Chat Noir bolted out of the room back up to Chloe’s room. He burst in to see Chloe sitting on the couch with Orikko, Tikki, and Ziggy. He glanced over to the bed to see Alix still asleep on it.
            “What’s up, Cat?” Chloe asked.
            “How is she?”
“Alive and resting. As she should be.”
            “Can you wake her up?”
            “I could, but I won’t.”
“Wake her up. I need to talk to her.”
            “No.”
            “Do it.”
“No! And you can’t make me, fleabag!”
Chat Noir snarled, then turned away. “Fine! But I’m staying here.”
Chloe rolled her eyes. “Yeah, sure you are. And under what authority do you have to make such a decision?”
“I’m your leader along with Bloody Bug. I’m just as capable of taking away your miraculous as Bug is.”
Chloe held the hand with Orikko’s miraculous away. “You wouldn’t really do that, would you?”
“I will if you keep me away from Bug. If you try to cast me out while Bug is still here, unconscious, I will.”
Chloe grimaced and forced a smile. “I’ll make sure to find a nice place on the couch for you. If you’ll just excuse me.”
Chloe ran out of the room with Orikko with her. Chat Noir sighed and took a seat.
“That wasn’t very nice, Chat Noir,” Tikki scolded.
“Would you not do the same in shoes?” Chat Noir countered.
            “Not like that.”
            “She’s lying,” Ziggy butted in.
            “I am not!”
“Yeah, you are. I’ve seen you lose yourself to passion before, just as Chat Noir did.”
“That isn’t an excuse to let him do it.”
“No, but it makes you a liar and a hypocrite.”
Tikki deadpanned. “Whatever. Chat Noir, don’t do that again. You may be a leader, but a leader doesn’t abuse their power. You’ll do well to remember that, or you might be the one losing their miraculous.”
Chat Noirs ears pinned back before they drooped. They perked up when Chloe entered the room again with a blanket in hand.
“Hey, Chloe? I’m sorry about that a moment ago. I just-.”
“No, I get it. I was out of place myself. I just… I hoped once she woke up, we could talk. She told me once she was well, we’d talk. I don’t think she’ll be well, but I thought maybe she might be ready to talk after dying. It’s selfish, but I don’t want to wait any longer. I need to talk to her now.”
            “May I ask what about?”
Chloe sighed. “I obviously know who Bloody Bug is. I… I didn’t want to accept it at first. I couldn’t accept this amazing hero that had been nothing but kind to me was also the same person that hurt me.”
“What happened? How did she hurt you?”
“It was some time after her mother passed. Something like four or five years ago, I dunno. I try not to remember a lot of the details, but there are things I’ll never forget. I insulted her and her dead mother and… and… and she attacked me.”
            “She attacked you?”
Chloe nodded as she hugged herself. “I had never been more afraid than that day. I begged and pleaded for her to stop, but there wasn’t anything human in her eyes. That day, I saw a monster born of anger and hatred. So, it was… hard to accept the truth. It still would be, if not for Sabrina.”
“Chloe, why did you insult Alix and her late mother anyway?”
“I… I don’t know. I don’t even remember why I did it in the first place. I wish I did. Not that it’d make much of a difference now.”
“It wouldn’t be related to your own mother leaving you, would it?”
Chloe’s eyes widened as she turned and glared at Chat Noir. “How do you know that? No one outside my Adrikins and Sabrina know about that!”
“Well… I… crap. Plagg, claws in.”
Chloe’s jaw dropped when she saw Chat Noir was Adrien. She gasped and pointed a finger at him.
            “Uh, surprise?” Adrien asked.
“Oh. My. God. How? I didn’t-! How!”
“Uh, kwamis and miraculous, and all that?”
“Oh, no! Adrikins, I’ve been so mean to you! I’m so sorry, Adrikins!”
“Chlo, it’s ok. Mostly. You did try to steal Bloody Bug from me.”
Chloe chuckled nervously. “It’s all water under the bridge now, right? You won’t hate me, right?”
“I never hated you, Chlo. I was annoyed, but I never hated you. You’re my sister, just like Alix.”
Chloe’s shoulders drooped. “Sister? You mean… you’d never see me as more?”
“No, Chlo. I’m sorry. I… I don’t really want to think of anyone like that right now. Not after Volpina and Heart’s Design.”
“I knew it! They did do something to you. What did they do? Tell me immediately.”
            “I… I don’t think I’m ready, Chlo.”
“You want to end up short fuse over there?”
Adrien winced, then sighed. “No, but you can’t tell anyone. Not even Marinette or Lila. Promise me, please.”
            “I promise.”
“Thank you. See, they… they… assaulted me.”
Chloe gasped. She fumbled over the couch, grabbed her teddy bear, and held it up for Adrien. “Where did they touch you?”
Adrien gulped as he pointed around to the chest, face, neck, arms, waist, and hips. He looked away, then up to see Chloe in tears. She tossed aside the bear and hugged him.
“Oh, Adrikins, I’m so sorry those awful girls hurt you. I promise, I’ll make their lives extremely miserable for hurting you.”
            “Chloe, it’s-.”
“It’s not fine! First, Alix dies. Literally dies that I had to resurrect her. Second, I learn that my Adrikins was assaulted by those girls. How can any of that be fine? It’s not. It’s ridiculous. Utterly ridiculous!”
“Chlo, I know it’s not fine, but I don’t want to think about it. It’s just easier to try and forget it.”
“Then let’s have the best night ever!”
Adrien tilted his head as Chloe called for room service and made arrangements for the pair of them and Sabrina. She hung up and headed for the door.
“I’ll be back, Adrikins. And when I am, we’ll have the best night you ever had!”
Adrien smiled as Chloe left, then frowned. He glanced over at Alix on Chloe’s bed. He stood and cautiously approached. He hesitated before he crawled onto the bed and curled up beside her. He glanced up at her still face as fear gripped his heart again. The memory of her life passing fresh on his mind. Tears fell from his eyes as he took her hand and pressed his forehead against her shoulder.
“Please don’t do that again, Bug. I don’t want to lose you. I need you. Please don’t leave me alone. I don’t want to be alone again.”
“I’m sorry I scared you, Cat.”
Adrien gasped. He looked at Alix’s face, but she hadn’t changed. “Bug?”
Alix shifted and pressed her free hand against her forehead. “I fucked up big time, didn’t I?”
“You aren’t going to leave me, are you?”
“No. I… I don’t want you to experience the same thing I am.”
            “Bug?”
Alix shook her head and let her arm fall. “Not now. My head hurts.”
            “Later?”
            “Later.”
            “Promise?”
            “I promise. Now, hush.”
Adrien cracked a small smile as he cuddled up to Alix.

I Just Want You: A Hello Neighbor Fanfic
By JJ
Tumblr media
Summary: Trinity sees Nicky is back at school again.
Trinity crawled through the window of Mr. Murtaugh's classroom, once she was inside, she planned to wait for the rest of the gang to come.
However, while she was waiting, she got a little bored. So she decided to walk around the school a little bit, just until her friends showed up.
She knew she'd probably get caught, since she was reported missing after all. That's why she brought a hoodie. So she just put the hoodie on and walked out of the classroom.
She had walked around the same hallway a couple of times, stopping twice for a drink at the water fountain, and when she walked down the hallway a third time, she saw someone who she absolutely did not expect to see.
There he was, just getting his backpack. He wasn't wearing his signature goggles, but he was wearing a long sleeved shirt and longer pants. Even though he didn't look a bit like his old self, Trinity recognized him with ease.
Nicky.
She almost fainted when he turned around, she got a good look at him.
She had been staring at him for so long, she didn't realize that he was already turning the corner and going down the stairs. She snapped out of her trance and started running after him.
"NICKY!"
Trinity knew she probably shouldn't have called out to him just like that in the middle of the hallway full of people, but she was just too excited to see Nicky right now.
Nicky turned around, and his eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "Excuse me?", he said.
"Nicky, it's me.", said Trinity.
Then she realized he probably doesn't recognize him because of the hoodie she was wearing over her head, so she slid it off, and Nicky's eyes widened.
"Trinity..."
"That's right, Nicky. It's me."
Nicky held his backpack close to his chest, then he looked around the hallway for a moment,...then he just walked in the opposite direction.
Trinity followed behind him.
"Nicky -"
"I thought you left.", said Nicky.
Trinity stammered a little and tapped her chin as she thought about what to say next. "I...I did leave. I'm not living with my parents at the moment, but -"
"Our friends told me you were being sent away to boarding school.", said Nicky.
"Yeah, and I was. I was about to, but I just couldn't...I..."
Trinity didn't know what to say.
How do you explain to someone how you couldn't just leave the town where you'd worked so hard to try and reach a goal you couldn't achieve and stop at nothing to get what you wanted?
How do you explain how you had damaged your relationship with your friends and then got back together to save the town?
How do you explain letting someone out of prison?
"I just...I just didn't want to leave.", she said.
Nicky stopped in his tracks and turned around to look at Trinity, "What do you mean?"
Trinity took a deep breath and looked at Nicky dead in the eye.
"I mean I didn't want to leave.", she said. "I didn't want to leave knowing that you were gone and probably never coming back, I didn't want to leave knowing that all of my friends hated me, I didn't want to leave knowing I put all of them in danger and I saw them as only pawns or a gang and not friends anymore."
She looked down at the floor.
"But mainly, I just didn't want to leave you."
She gently took Nicky's hand and held it in hers.
"Nicky, you were really annoying the first time I met you. But then I spent some time with you, even when we weren't spying on Mr. Peterson, I enjoyed the time I spent with you. Being your friend really helped me to gain more confidence to do things that my parents didn't want me to do.", she said. "I loved everything about you. Your personality, your messy nature, your face..."
"Your eyes.", she thought.
"And ever since you got kidnapped, it broke me. I didn't know if you were dead or alive when you were in that psycho's house, and I was even more destroyed when you weren't the same after that.", Trinity's voice started cracking, and tears began to pool in the corners of her eyes.
"I was a horrible friend to you. All you wanted was for someone to care about you, and I only drove you to the brink of insanity by putting you back in...there.", she said. "It's not that I couldn't help you the way you needed, it's that I refused to acknowledge you. And I'm sorry for that, and I'm sorry I never visited you in the hospital,...I just didn't know if you ever wanted to see me again after what I did."
"But I did want to see you."
Trinity's eyes widened, "What?", she asked.
"I know I probably shouldn't be talking to you after everything, but I really did miss you.", said Nicky. "I couldn't stop thinking about you ever since I was admitted into the psych ward. How I attacked you, how we tried reaching out to each other even after the ambulance drove away, but I knew I would see you again."
He paused for a moment, then he looked at the floor.
"But then I heard you were being sent away, then you went missing, and I didn't know how else to feel.", he said. "I just wanted you to be a better friend, I just wanted the old Trinity back, I never wanted you to disappear."
Nicky gently pulled his hand away.
"But apart from that,...I've actually been doing pretty well. I'm taking a break from the club, I haven't gotten into any trouble while you were gone, and my parents are at home more, they're trying to make up for all of the days they just left me alone.", he said, letting out a small giggle. "My mom even cooked breakfast for me today. Also, quick question, do paprika and breadcrumbs go in waffles?"
"I...what?"
"Nevermind."
Just then, a car horn honked outside, and Nicky looked outside at the entrance to see his mom parked outside of the school.
Nicky looked back at Trinity, "I have to go now.", he said. Before he left, he gave his friend one last glance.
"If you do continue with this mystery, please...make sure you don't go insane again.", he said. "I know how much you want to stop Crowface."
And with that, he left. Trinity just stood there, watching him as he got into the backseat of his car and drove off.
She put her hoodie back on and walked back in the other direction to the science room.
"I just want you.", she thought.

6 - Triplicity
Tumblr media
The low chime of the final bell echoed through the stone corridor, signaling the end of the day's lessons. It reverberated faintly in April's chest as she secured the lid on her cauldron and gave the emerald concotion inside one last glance. Success still felt somewhat foreign, but the warm satisfaction that lingered in her veins reminded her that perhaps she was starting to find her rhythm.
Ominis set down his stirring rod with a soft clink, his pale fingers brushing the rim of his cauldron as if to double-check its position before stepping back. "Ready?" he asked, his tone more statement than question.
Sebastian, already gathering his supplies, gave an exaggerated stretch. "Been ready. Merlin, I deserve a break after over-performing all day." He slung his satchel over one shoulder and grinned, ever the picture of casual confidence.
Relief rippled through the castle like a collective exhale, students spilling out of classrooms with an air of liberation. April, Sebastian, and Ominis were no exception. They filed out of the Potions classroom together, weaving through the lingering crowd until the noise began to dissipate, replaced by the soft trickle of water from the grand fountain at the heart of Central Hall. The light that streamed in through the tall windows caught the droplets midair, casting ripples of silver along the worn flagstone floors.
Sebastian leaned casually against the fountain's edge, his satchel slung haphazardly over one shoulder, while Ominis stood with his hands clasped loosely in front of him, his expression unreadable as ever. April lingered beside them, her arms crossed, more out of habit than disinterest.
The steady trickle of water provided a momentary reprieve from the din of passing students. April hadn't expected to end her first day with these two, let alone enjoy it. Her morning had started out suffocating, the walls of the Ravenclaw tower pressing too close, too sterile. Yet now, she stood here, shoulder to shoulder with two Slytherins who had somehow made the day feel less like a gauntlet and more like—
"—Hogsmeade."
April blinked, snapping back to attention. "What?"
Sebastian leaned forward, his brown eyes bright with sudden enthusiasm. "We should go to Hogsmeade."
"Hogsmeade?" she repeated, her voice hitching just enough to betray her surprise. The idea of going to the village on her very first day, before she'd even had time to properly map out Hogwarts in her head, felt slightly reckless.
"Why not? Ominis needs supplies for that ridiculous plant he's trying to grow."
"Ghost orchids aren't ridiculous," Ominis interjected, though his voice lacked any real protest.
Sebastian waved him off, undeterred. "And I need a butterbeer. Or pepper imps. Or both. Merlin knows I deserve a treat after how stellar we were in Potions today. Come on, April, don't tell me you're just planning to sulk around the Ravenclaw common room all evening."
April hesitated, her weight shifting from one foot to the other. That had been the plan—retreat, regroup, keep her head down—but the thought of folding herself back into the solitary quiet of the Ravenclaw tower felt... dull now. Like stepping back into something she'd outgrown without realizing it.
"I don't know..." she said, feigning reluctance. "I was thinking about it, but..."
"But?" Sebastian prompted, leaning in.
"But it's not exactly the most thrilling option."
"Exactly!" He exclaimed, clapping his hands triumphantly.
"But Hogsmeade's a bit of a walk, isn't it?" she pointed out, though her protest lacked real conviction.
Sebastian waved her off. "I'll carry you if your legs give out."
April shot him a withering look. "You'll do no such thing."
He smirked. "Your loss. I give excellent piggybacks."
Ominis stifled a laugh, shaking his head as if to distance himself from the ridiculousness. "Let's at least make sure we're back before dinner. Some of us like to eat on time."
"Noted," Sebastian said with a mock salute, though the gleam in his eye suggested he had no intention of sticking to that promise.
"It's not that late. We'll grab your herbology junk and then—Three Broomsticks, Honeydukes—maybe even Zonko's if we've got time."
"Fine," April said at last, though she made a show of groaning about it. "But only if you swear you're not dragging us halfway across the highlands for no reason."
Sebastian grinned. "I solemnly swear."
"Sounds cryptic," Ominis deadpanned.
"Sounds promising," Sebastian shot back, pushing off the fountain's edge. "Shall we, then?" he added, already heading for the castle doors.
Ominis fell in step beside April, his pace measured but certain. He had a habit of tilting his head slightly when he walked, as though listening for some unseen cue, but he followed their movements with remarkable ease. "You're sure about this?" he asked quietly.
April glanced at him and then at Sebastian's retreating figure. Sure? No. But something about the way her feet felt lighter and the air seemed less stifling told her it didn't matter.
"I think I am."
The late afternoon sun greeted the trio as they stepped out onto the grounds, warm despite the faint autumn chill that clung to the air. Leaves danced lazily on the breeze, their gold and amber hues catching the light. The path to Hogsmeade stretched out before them, winding through fields and hills that seemed to shimmer in the distance.
Sebastian led the way, talking animatedly about the different shops they'd pass and what sweets were worth their weight in galleons. April followed close behind, half-listening, half-taking in the scenery—the pinkish orange hues of light that bounced seamlessly off the black lake, the scattered trees that swayed in the fading afternoon light, and the faint sound of birdsong all around them.
They were nearly halfway there when they passed by a wooden bridge. It stretched out over a shallow stream, the planks weathered by time and moss. On the far side, a forest loomed. Dark. Dense. It seemed to shift as if breathing, the branches twisting overhead like silent sentinels.
April slowed, her gaze snagging on the crooked sign nailed to a post at the bridge's end:
"FORBIDDEN FOREST—DO NOT ENTER."
The words stood out starkly, carved deep into the wood. Below them, additional warnings had been scrawled in red paint—some fresh, some faded, all equally foreboding.
Sebastian noticed her lingering gaze. "That's the Forbidden Forest," he explained, his tone conspiratorial. "We're not supposed to go in, obviously. Dangerous creatures, dark magic, the works. And lately, there's been a spike in poacher activity."
April tilted her head, intrigued despite herself. "Poachers?"
"Yeah." He nodded. "My uncle says they're after all sorts of things—unicorns, phoenixes, whatever rare magical creatures they can get their hands on. Not that I'd recommend checking it out or anything," he added with a smirk. "Unless you're feeling particularly reckless."
April's lips quirked into a wry smile, but before she could say anything, Ominis cut in. "Let's keep moving," he said firmly, his voice cutting through their musings. "The forest isn't our destination, and I'd prefer not to linger."
Sebastian chuckled, clearly amused by how quickly Ominis had shut her down. "Relax. She's too scared to sneak in there anyway."
"Hey!" April protested.
"Am I wrong?"
She wanted to argue but stopped short, her gaze flickering back to the treeline. There was something about it—something primal and untamed that made her stomach twist. But there was also... intrigue.
"Come on," Ominis urged, stepping forward again. "The more we stall, the more likely we are to miss dinner. And at this rate, perhaps curfew as well."
"Yeah, yeah," Sebastian said, rolling his eyes but following anyway. "We'll make it back. Probably."
"Sebastian—"
"I promise!"
April smirked lightheartedly as she fell into step beside them again. Despite Ominis's obvious caution, there was a small, reckless part of her that lingered on the forest even as they walked away.
But for now, she let it go.
Hogsmeade came into view just as the sun began to dip lower, painting the rooftops in hues of copper and crimson. Smoke spiraled lazily from the chimneys, carrying the faint scent of roasted nuts and melting chocolate. April's earlier complaints faded with the sight, her steps unconsciously quickening. The village was alive with activity—students milling about, shopkeepers calling out deals, the clink of mugs and laughter spilling from the Three Broomsticks. It was a far cry from the imposing grandeur of the castle, and yet it still felt just as magical.
As they crossed the threshold into the village, April found herself smiling despite the ache in her calves. This wasn't what she'd envisioned for her first day at Hogwarts. It was better.
Sebastian stretched his arms dramatically, tilting his head back as if to drink in the atmosphere itself. "I mean, it's almost too perfect, isn't it?" He smirked, turning toward Ominis. "Wish you could see it, mate.
Ominis didn't even flinch. "Yes, thank you, Sebastian," he said dryly. "Do let me know if the cobblestones are particularly scenic."
April stifled a giggle, her hand coming up to cover her mouth. Sebastian only grinned wider.
They lingered outside the first row of shops, pressed against windows fogged from the warmth inside. April found herself trailing her fingers along the glass, her eyes drawn to the displays of potion bottles and trinkets, stacks of colorful quills, and shelves lined with spellbooks. She didn't even realize how long they'd been standing there until Ominis cleared his throat pointedly.
"If we want to have time for any of this, I need to grab my supplies first," he said. "Dogweed & Deathcap is on the far end of the village. Let's not waste daylight."
Sebastian groaned but didn't argue, and April—despite being equally tempted to duck into the nearest shop—nodded in agreement. "Fine, but you're buying us all something sweet afterward," she said, nudging Ominis's arm lightly.
"I'll consider it," he replied, already starting toward the bridge that crossed the stream dividing the village.
The stone archway overlooked clear, running water, its surface broken only by the occasional ripple. April leaned over the edge as they crossed, briefly mesmerized, before Sebastian tugged her away by the sleeve.
"Come on, we're not stopping here," he said. "Unless you're planning to push Ominis in?"
"I heard that," Ominis called ahead, his tone flat.
April smirked but let Sebastian steer her along.
Dogweed and Deathcap stood on the edge of the village, perched on a little hill that overlooked the fields beyond. Its crooked roof sagged under the weight of climbing vines, and the windows were clouded with streaks of dirt and condensation. It looked more like a witch's cottage than an actual shop, which April supposed was part of the charm.
Inside, the air was heavy with the scent of damp earth and dried herbs. Shelves lined the walls, crowded with glass jars and potted plants—some of which twitched when they walked by.
"Fertilizer," Ominis said simply when the shopkeeper asked what he needed, his voice soft but certain.
The transaction was quick—almost disappointingly so—and before April even had a chance to fully browse, they were already stepping back outside.
"Well," Sebastian said, brushing stray bits of dirt off his sleeve, "that was thrilling."
Ominis ignored him, tucking the small packet of fertilizer into his robes. "We're done. Now we can discuss where to go next."
They regrouped in the center of Hogsmeade, where the plaza bustled with people weaving between food carts and shop entrances.
"Tea," Ominis said immediately. "I've heard Steepley and Sons has the best scones you'll ever taste."
"Honeydukes," Sebastian countered. "I need to see if those pepper imps are actually as hot as people claim, or if everyone's just dramatic."
April rolled her eyes. "You mean you think you can handle them and want an audience to prove it."
"And?”
Ignoring him, April turned her attention to the inn a little ways back from where they'd come from, its timbered frame glowing warmly through its tall windows. "I want butterbeer," she said. "Proper butterbeer. Not the bottled stuff my mum makes at home.”
Sebastian's brows rose. "You've had butterbeer before?"
"Of course I have."
"Then you should let the rest of us catch up before you go guzzling another."
April huffed. "I didn't say I'd guzzle it—"
"We're getting off track," Ominis interrupted, though the faintest smile tugged at his lips. "Clearly, we're not going to agree, so let's settle it properly."
Sebastian perked up instantly. "Rock, paper, scissors?"
April raised a brow. "You really think that's fair when Ominis can't see what we're doing?"
"I can hear the rustle of your robes, you know," Ominis said flatly. "I'm not helpless."
Sebastian grinned, already holding out his fist. "Come on, let's make it quick."
April went first, facing off against Sebastian with a determined look. They counted together—"One, two, three—" before both throwing down their choices.
Sebastian scowled at April's paper against his rock. "You cheated."
"Don't be a sore loser."
"Fine, but you'll lose to Ominis anyway."
April turned to him next, feeling confident—too confident, apparently, because Ominis calmly played rock while her scissors fell to ruin.
"What?!" April gawked, her eyes wide as saucers. "How did you—?!"
"Lucky guess," Ominis said, entirely deadpan. "Let's go."
Sebastian burst out laughing. "Told you."
April crossed her arms but didn't protest. Not really. She'd get her butterbeer eventually—and Sebastian would probably cry over those pepper imps later anyway.
Sebastian clapped Ominis on the back as they started toward Steepley and Sons. April trailed after them, still grumbling under her breath about blind luck.
The little bell above the door chimed as they stepped into Steepley and Sons. The shop was small but charmingly so—quaint, in the way a dollhouse might feel. The walls were painted soft shades of pink and mint green, bordered by delicate white trim that curled like ivy. Shelves of porcelain teapots and dainty cups lined the far wall, their intricate floral patterns glinting faintly in the afternoon light. Round tables draped in lace cloths dotted the space, each one adorned with a tiny vase of fresh flowers that added a splash of color to the already bright room. The air was rich with the scent of freshly brewed tea and baked goods, and the quiet murmur of conversation made the space feel alive but not overwhelming.
April couldn't help but smile. The place was so... fancy. But not in a stiff, unapproachable way. It felt warm—homey, even. Like a space meant for lingering.
"Blimey," Sebastian muttered, glancing around as he ran a finger along one of the lace-edged tablecloths. "This place is... pink."
Ominis smirked. "You sound scared."
Sebastian scoffed. "I'm not scared. It's just—" He gestured vaguely. "Too delicate. I feel like I'm going to break something just by looking at it wrong."
"Then maybe try not to look at anything," Ominis replied dryly, leading the way to a table near the window.
"Yes, because you're obviously an expert," Sebastian shot back lightheartedly.
April bit back a snort as they settled into their seats, the sunlight spilling through the glass warming their faces. She looked around, taking it all in. "It's lovely," she said softly, running a hand over the edge of the table.
Before long, an older witch appeared to take their orders. She had kind eyes and a warm smile, her apron dusted with flour and her wand tucked into a pocket.
"What can I get for you, dears?" she asked, glancing between them.
Ominis ordered first, his tone polite but businesslike. "A lemon scone and a cup of black tea, please."
Sebastian leaned back in his chair, his expression as casual as ever. "Chocolate scone. Chamomile tea. Thanks."
When it was April's turn, she smiled up at the witch. "A blueberry scone and mint tea, please."
"Lovely choices," the witch said, scribbling on her notepad. She glanced at Ominis, who was already reaching for something in his robes. "That'll be three galleons."
"I've got this," he said, pulling a handful of coins from his pocket and extending his hand out for her to take.
After tucking the coins into her apron pocket, she flashed the group a smile and nodded. "I'll have those out shortly.”
The witch then bustled off to the kitchen, and Sebastian turned his attention back to Ominis. "You're paying?"
Ominis shrugged. "You did say I'd have to buy you both something sweet after my errand. This seems fair."
"Well, thanks, mate," Sebastian said with a grin. "I'd say you're too generous, but something tells me you've got plenty of galleons to spare."
Ominis tilted his head, an almost imperceptible smirk playing on his lips. "You could say that."
April watched the exchange, curiosity flickering across her face. "Do you really? Come from money, I mean?"
"My family's... well-off," Ominis admitted carefully, his tone neutral. "Though that's hardly worth envying."
Sebastian blinked, his eyes narrowing slightly. "Alright, Mr. Moneybags. How rich are you, exactly?"
Ominis folded his arms against his chest uncaringly. "Like I said, I'm well-established."
"Well-established,'" Sebastian repeated, scoffing. "You mean rich. You can just say rich, you know. It's not illegal."
April chuckled, but before the teasing could spiral, Sebastian turned to her.
"What about you? You mentioned you're from London back in Charms, right?"
The question caught her off guard. She shifted in her seat, fingers fiddling with a stray lock of her hair.
"Oh. Um—" She cleared her throat, steadying herself. "Yeah—just off Whitehall, near the Ministry."
Sebastian leaned forward. "Wait—near the Ministry? Don't tell me your parents work there."
"My mum does," April admitted. "She's the head of the Department of Mysteries."
Sebastian's eyes widened. "No way. The Department of Mysteries? And you're calling Ominis rich? You might as well own half of Diagon Alley with a job like that."
April laughed, shaking her head. "It's not like that."
"Sure it's not," Sebastian said, leaning back with a grin. "Here I am, slumming it with two rich kids. Should've worn my best robes today."
April rolled her eyes, but her smile lingered—until Sebastian's next question.
"What about your dad?"
It struck like ice against her ribs. April's smile faltered, and she dropped her gaze to the table.
"Oh." She fiddled with the edge of the tablecloth. "It's just been me and Mum for as long as I can remember. I don't—" Her voice caught, and she cleared her throat. "I don't really know anything about him."
It wasn't a lie. It was just the most concise way to say it without pulling loose threads she didn't want to unravel. She'd finally started to forget him after seething over the topic all morning, but it just wasn't something she could brush off that easily, could she? Even with the words spoken, the weight of them hung in the air like smoke.
Sebastian, to his credit, noticed. He leaned back, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly. "Sorry. I didn't mean to—"
"It's fine."
"No, I get it." His voice softened. "Both my parents died when I was younger. I mean, I don't even remember much about them. My uncle Solomon takes care of me now." He paused. "He's...not exactly winning any awards, though."
April looked up at him, sympathy softening her features. "I'm sorry."
"Eh." Sebastian shrugged, brushing it off as if he hadn't just shared something deeply personal. "Could be worse."
They both glanced at Ominis then, as if expecting him to add something. Sensing their gazes on him, he hesitated, drumming his fingers lightly against the table before speaking.
"Well," he said slowly. "Looks like I'm the odd one out. My parents are still alive. Both of them."
Sebastian raised an eyebrow. "What, and they don't throw extravagant parties in your honor?"
"Not quite," Ominis replied, lips twitching into something that wasn't quite a smile. "Let's just say 'distant' doesn't quite cover it." He paused, his fingers brushing the edge of his teacup as if gathering his thoughts. "Having a family doesn't mean much when it doesn't feel like you have one at all."
He didn't elaborate, but April caught the tension in his voice. It was subtle—buried beneath the usual composure—but it was there.
For a moment, none of them spoke. It wasn't uncomfortable exactly, but it wasn't light either. It was something in between—a thread of understanding that wove through the three of them, tying them closer than they'd expected to be.
And then, as if summoned by fate, the witch returned with their food, balancing a tray that smelled like heaven.
Sebastian immediately broke the silence, eyeing his chocolate scone like it was the last meal he'd ever have.
"Finally," he said, already reaching for it. "I thought I was going to starve."
The tension cracked, giving way to laughter as April shook her head and reached for her tea.
"Try not to choke," she said dryly.
"No promises."
Sebastian, unsurprisingly, dug in first, tearing into his scone with an enthusiasm that made April laugh despite herself.
"Well?" Ominis asked, lifting his cup. "Is the scone everything you dreamed it'd be?"
Sebastian took another massive bite before replying. "Even better."
April shook her head, grinning as she reached for her own scone. The moment wasn't perfect—not entirely.
But maybe it didn't need to be.

Cabotton University: Progress and Expansion
With more classroom availability in the new buildings came a lesser presence of the classroom pavilions. This, along with the opportunity to engage in freedom of voice and self-determination in education, made Cabotton University an increasingly attractive option for prospective scholars, though it was still only locally known at the time.
The year 1235 was considered a relatively peaceful one for the University. The matter with the Emorans had been settled, and more measures met with fewer impasses, since Martin Cross and Thomas Snow, two de facto leading figures now, had now been in league with each other on the most part. In fact, the future seemed bright, as Martin Cross at a Council meeting declared publicly: "Let every Scholar, having been given ample opportunity at this University, contribute to the opportunity of future Scholars."
This led to an dramatic increase in the number of creative projects proposed to the Council by the Cabotton Scholars. But of this large plethora stood three significant figures: Steven Rothyn, proposing the construction of an Aviation School and Airfield, Jon Orr, proposing the addition of a Field House, and Bella Koth, proposing the creation of a University Lake connected to a University Fountain. All three propositions were passed by the University Council in March 1234 with nearly unanimous support. Construction would be completed on said renovations by June 1235.
School of Aviation and Navigation, University Airfield
The School of Aviation and Navigation was built purposefully in the larger-than-life shape of a fixed-wing aircraft with the intent to facilitate the designated spaces within for specific parts of experimental aircraft to be designed, built, and tested. The Aviation School itself sat on the Second Floor of the Building, below which stood the First Floor on ground level, and a Basement below ground level. The First Floor was dedicated to the design, construction, and testing of experimental automobiles, bicycles, and mesh trains. The Basement, consisting of a large pool known as the Water Tunnel, was dedicated to experimental boats, submarines, and other watercraft. This was important because, with only rare exceptions, such watercraft experiments were forbidden expressively by University Administration from being tested in the University Lake.
The University Airfield was a well-trimmed grass field. On the rooftop of the Aviation and Navigation School overlooking the Field was the Air Traffic Control Tower. And the Eastern half of the Field contained retractible rail moors for experimental airships. It is important to note, however, that this was not a public airport, and that no aircraft was permitted to take off from or land on this Field without reservation in advance from the Office of University Affairs.
The Field House
The Basement of the Field House consisted of a large swimming area including the Current Pool and the Stationary Pool. The Current Pool was about twenty feet in width and ran along the inside perimeter of the Field House. The current of this Pool ran clockwise during the first half of the week and counter-clockwise during the second half of the week. The Current Pool served as a venue for kayaking and other boating sports, as well as the occasional experiment for innovative small watercraft built by Navigation School students. Within the perimeter created by the Current Pool stood the Stationary Pool, consisting of a deep Diving Area on its West End and a vast Lap Pool on its East End.
Running around the inside perimeter of the First Floor of the Field House was two-deck track, with the upper deck dedicated to the Indoor Bicycling Track and the lower deck dedicated to the Indoor Running Track. The area within this perimeter was divided into two sections with the West Section dedicated to multi-purpose ball courts and the East Section dedicated to fitness equipment like weight-lifting. At the very East end of the latter section stood a health clinic dedicated to sporting injuries.
The West End of the Second Floor was dedicated to four Handball Ranges, each of which could be set up as either Throwing Ranges or Goal Ranges. The East End of the Second Floor served as a venue for the well-known "Gravitron Complex" a three-dimensional maze, rock wall, and fitness course made solely of spellmatter. The "Gravitron Complex" was named as such because of its experimentation with pseudo-gravity dynamics so that participants could experience such things as zero-gravity.
University Lake, University Fountain
Westerhill Creek was dammed up in the Southwest Corner of the University Campus grounds, and tons of earth moved so that the area would fill with water into the University Lake. Land in the Southwest portion of this Lake was raised to create Fellowship Isle, upon which sat Fellowship Lodge. The First Floor of this Lodge consisted of a Banquet Hall and Kitchen while the Second Floor consisted of ten guest bedrooms. Two piers extended from Fellowship Isle: one extending East and one extending South. The Eastward Pier was capable of altering its length to accommodate differing sizes of boats while the Southward Pier was capable of converting into a bridge. There was also a pier on the East Shore of the Lake, one on the West Shore, one on the South Shore, and one on the North Shore. Water from this Lake was piped from water vents below Fellowship Isle and filtered extensively as it was transported via the Estrayon Method to the University Fountain.
On the North End of the University Campus stood the University Fountain, which began operations on 15 May 1235 and would run a yearly schedule of operation from 1 April to 24 September of every year that followed. The spouts were, by default, shaped as models of the Five Houses and Fleming Tower. However, the spout apparatus was made solely of spellmatter with the intent to enable skilled students to get creative and shape it temporarily into various shapes and designs. Scholars in the years to come would take part and create things like artistic expressions, passionate messages, political messages, and even marriage proposals. To note, the latter evolved into a generational tradition for some scholars. And alongside the spellmatter-morphing was the ability for scholars to craft pseudo-tidal forces in the Fountain Pool, and thus carry out tests and tournaments for miniature model watercraft.
There were, of course, University policies governing what was considered appropriate for the University Fountain. And the High Scholar Delegation Timekeeper was tasked with restoring the Fountain to its default settings every Sunday evening. This role would later be transferred to the University Headmaster.

Chapter 2
The hopefully long awaited chapter 2.
Word Count: 1241
Today is the first day, hopefully there aren't any issues. I walk onto campus and immediately I want to leave. There are way too many people here. I put my hood up and my headphones to block out some of my surroundings. I start to make my way to the main classroom. I don’t really understand the educational structure but, whatever. I walk and notice the Mina girl I was talking to after the exam. She saw me and waved me over.
“Hey Y/N! I’m glad we made it into the same class.” She said,
“ I am too. I literally know no one here besides you.” I replied. I mean I should really get to know some of the other people here but, I don’t really want to. They seem occupied nonetheless.
We started talking for a bit and a couple of other girls came over. They were nice, but maybe a little too nice for my liking. We had to stop talking anyway because the teacher came in, or what I think the teacher is anyway. He crawled in the room in a sleeping bag. I shrug and just listen to get through the first day.
“My name is Aizawa, I will be your teacher for this year.” He said. After introductions, we had to do a skills test. I got nervous, what if he makes me use the other parts of my quirk. I already noticed that my brother is in the class as well. He’ll realize for sure that it’s me. We constantly trained together before my disappearance.
Either way I have to do it. The sensei needs to see the full extent of my quirk. I show off my quirk to the best of my ability. Everyone was shocked with the level my quirk was at. I make eye contact with my brother. He doesn’t seem to recognize me but I can see the curiosity there. I was always able to read him like a book. I step off the platform and head inside for some water. As I get close to the fountain I hear someone following me. Curse my damn good hearing. I turn around to see my brother. I don’t think he can tell it’s me still.
“Can I help you?” I say trying not to sound rude.
“Sorry, uh you just reminded me of someone with that quirk of yours. But now that I’m closer I can tell it's not what I was thinking. Sorry to bother you.” He walks away after saying that.
I feel bad that I can’t reveal my identity to him. I miss him dearly, but I can’t take that chance of being found out. I finish up with what I was doing and head back to where everyone else was. As I get there, I hear Aizawa sensei dismiss the class. I grab my stuff and head out of the campus. I hear someone yelling at me.
“Hey! Loser! Turn around!”
I do so and come to find out it’s the idiot I ran into on the day of the entrance exam.
“What do you want? I don’t have time for your blank insults.” I say rolling my eyes at him.
“You wanna fucking die today!” He yells. I just roll my eyes again. He’s getting on my nerves at this point.
“I just want to know why you’re bothering me.” I replied.
“I just wanted to say your quirk sucks ass. It’s going to be so easy to take you down!” He says walking away laughing.
I just roll my eyes again and walk away. He has no idea who he is messing with. Like seriously he has no shame whatsoever and my quirk is 10 times better than his. On my way home, I stopped in at a coffee shop. I ran into my older sister Fuyumi who was also there getting a coffee.
“Sorry I didn’t mean to knock into you,” I said to her. As soon as she turned around she seemed to recognize me immediately. A look of shock ran over both of our faces and I turned to run off. She catches me right outside the door and drags me out of view.
“Where have you been Y/n! Everyone has been looking for you!” She said
I look down as my body collapses to the ground. This is the last thing I needed today. “I couldn’t take it at that house anymore. I’m sorry Fuyumi. I tried, I really did. Especially for Shoto, but it was all just too much. I’ve been through years of therapists and medication to numb what he has caused.’ I Look up at her ‘Look, I'm sorry that I left all three of you, but I did it for my own sake.” I got up and walked away after I said that.
I walk in the front door of the base and plop down on the couch face first. Toga walks up to me concerned she’s never seen me like this. Nobody has. I always put on a brave front.
“Are you ok?” She asked
I just shook my head hoping she would take it as a cue to leave me alone for now. She did thankfully. I accidentally fell asleep on the couch afterwards. I got gently woken up by Kurogiri, saying it was time to come eat. I just nod and slowly sit up. I sit down to eat when I find everyone staring at me. I give them a confused and questioning look.
“What? Do I have something on my face?” I asked, wiping my face off. Everyone looks away. I’m left confused but nonetheless I just shake my head and continue eating. I get up to go to my room, and that’s when Dabi comes over to me. He takes my hand and drags me to my room.
“What’s going on with you Y/N? You’re not usually like this.” I looked away as he said this to me.
“Between seeing Shoto and Fuyumi again I guess it’s set something off in me. Yes I saw them. Sho didn’t recognize me but Fuyumi did. I tried to run as fast as I could away from her. She grabbed my arm before I could get away though. Dabi.. she knows what happened to me. I can’t go back to where I was, I just can’t.” I said sitting down and curling in on myself.
He sighed as he sat down next to me. “We'll figure something out. Ok? Don’t give up just yet. I may have a hard exterior around everyone, but we will figure it out.”
I just nod and lay down to sleep. Dabi gets up and leaves while closing my door.
~The next day~
I was not looking forward to getting up for school today. Between everything that happened yesterday, I just hope that Fuyumi didn’t tell Shoto that she saw me.
I sigh as I get up and get dressed. I head downstairs, grab a quick snack and then I am out the door for school. The walk to school was uneventful, but as I stepped into the building I was quickly pulled into an empty room. I yelped in surprise.
I turned to see who pulled me and it was none other than my twin brother. My eyes widened in shock. I try to pull away from him but he keeps a firm grip on my arms.

It's Wednesday, which means two more days until Christmas break. It had also been two days since everything had happened with the flowers and the movies. Still, everything must continue.  No one was really doing anything in class, as not even the teachers wanted to be there. Violet and Penny sat next to each other, history killing the both of them.
"Wanna get food after school today?" Penny texted the group chat which had been named Futuristic Four, considering how odd they all were. Wilbur, of course came up with the name. In seconds, each one of them began to reply.
Wil: Sure, let me tell my mom
Hiro: can we go to the burger joint, I want their fries
Vi: but they're so greasy :/
Penalicious: true, but they're also really salty ;)
Vi: ... penny do me a favor and log out for me
Wil: HSAHAHA
Hiro: penny where did that come from :00
Penalicious: I was hacked, sorry guys :(
Vi: mhm.. sure
Vi: I just texted my mom, she said I can go
Penalicious: YES, bless your mothers heart
Wil: I love Helen, she makes good food
Hiro: why don't we just tell her mom to cook
Vi: guys my mom isn't a personal chef, and I don't wanna be home right now
Penalicious: what time does this class end? i'm losing my mind
Wil: in like ten minutes
Wil: history isn't that bad
Hiro: says the one with the time machine
Vi: true
Wil: you like english, you cannot speak on this
Penalicious: he has a point
Vi: wow thanks penny -_-
Hiro: whats wrong with english
Vi: nothing they're just lazy
Penalicious: not true
Penalicious: i read
Vi: bed time stories for TODDLERS don't count
Wil: TODDLERS???
Hiro: penny... why...
Penalicious: okay moving on
Penalicious: where are we going to eat?
Penny noticed Violet asking the teacher for something, it was quiet in the class now that they had an actual assignment to do. Then, Violet walked out. Penny assumed she had to go to the bathroom.
Hiro: Idk, I suggested burger joint but Vi doesn't like the fries
Wil: *sent an image*
Penny tapped on the image, and a picture of Violet came up, standing at the water fountain waiting for her turn. The image was taken from inside Wilbur's class. Then, he sent another. This time Violet was looking at the camera, putting the middle finger up at him. Penny giggled quietly to herself.
Vi: Wilbur I'm shaving all your hair off in your sleep
Wil: WHAT?
Hiro: HAHAHAH SHE WOULD
Penalicious: guys they're selling candy canes
Penalicious: a girl in class is talking about it
Vi: it's supposed to be like a secret santa thing i think
Wil: yeah, I ordered one
Hiro: HUH?? AND YOU DIDN'T TELL US???
Penalicious: OMG FOR WHO :0000
Wil: it's not for you guys to know
Wil: i'll think about it, maybe if I'm in the christmas spirit i'll tell you guys
Vi: guys the water fountain broke :(
Vi: the waters too cold
Hiro: i have an extra water bottle if you want
Vi: yes please, thank you
Violet waited a bit outside by the water fountain, and soon enough Wilbur came out. Violet smiled as he shut the classroom door before walking with her around the halls.
"So, who'd you get a candy cane for?" Violet asked, a smug look on her face. From July to now, the two had been what others would call harmless flirts. Usually the banter would be started by Wilbur, but upon recieving new information, Violet decided otherwise.
"I don't know, I guess we'll just have to wait and see." Wilbur shrugged, turning his nose up playfully. Violet giggled as the two walked around for a bit, just wasting time. It was the last period of the day, which was better since almost everyone was trying to just get the day over with.
"My moms having a dinner for my dad later, if you want you can join us. I'm sure she'd be happy to see you." Wilbur said, knowing that Franny had been dying to see Violet.
"Sure, I'll go. Should I bring a gift?" She asks, and Wilbur shakes his head.
"You don't have too. It's just because one of his inventions finally got approved for mass production, so my mom wants to celebrate." Wilbur said as the two stopped outside of her class.
"That's good for him, since he's up in his lab all the time." Violet says, checking her phone to see Penny spamming her with texts. The bell would be ringing soon.
"Go to class, we have a few minutes left."Violet said, standing up a little more to give him a quick kiss on the cheek. He smiled before taking hold of her hand, kissing over it. It was something he did often, since he had been to nervous to actually kiss her again, at least without asking her.
Violet entered class to see Penny waving a candy cane around. Violet's eyes widened as she took her seat. "You got one?" Violet asked, before Penny shook her head, putting it on Violet's desk.
"No, but you did." She said, poking her. Violet took hold of the candy cane, reading the note attached to it. 'Merry Christmas Violet.' Was all it said, with a small heart next to it. Then, the bell rang, everyone getting up from their seats quickly. Violet and Penny walked out into the hall, talking about the candy cane. Penny said she needed to go to her locker, so Violet followed, the two continuing their conversation.
"Who would send you one? Maybe it was brick? Before he got back with Blossom." Penny said, but Violet shook her head.
"No, I don't think he ever really liked me like that." Violet said, before Penny gasped.
"What about Dipper?" Violet almost let out a laugh. Had she been a more honest, less secretive friend, she would've told her it was Wilbur. But she let Penny have her fun being a detective.
"It could be, but it's been a whole like," Violet stopped to count. They had broken up in May of last year. So, eight months. "Eight months, he wouldn't still try to be with me after that long. At least I hope not." Violet said, before Penny nodded, putting some books in her locker. She did care about Dipper, they had been together for five months, but they both agreed they were better off as friends. To her knowledge, he hasn't had another girlfriend since.
"Eight months of what?"Hiro asked, opening Penny's door to look at himself in the mirror.
"Dipper and Vi." Penny said, not noticing the way Wilbur tensed at the mention of it. He was actually friends with Dipper, until he got with Violet. "We're trying to figure out who got her a candy cane." Penny said, grabbing her gym bag from her locker to take it home for the day. Hiro's eyes widened before trying to cover up his expression,
"Oh, that makes sense. But they broke up a while ago." Hiro said, and Violet nodded. Wilbur shrugged, fixing his bag on his shoulder.
"We can talk about that later. I'm hungry." Wilbur said, and Penny closed her locker, pointing down the hall.
"Then let's go. Have we decided where we're getting food?" Penny asked, and Hiro shrugged.
"I dunno, Vi it's up to you." Hiro said, before Violet thought as they all walked down the hall, making their way out of the school.
"Why don't we get pizza? I'm sure they have fries on the menu somewhere." Violet said, and Penny nodded happily.
"Oh yes, pizza sounds good right now." She said, and Violet laughed. Violet took out her headphones and put one in, before offering the other to Penny, who shook her head as a no, deciding to engage in the conversation Hiro and Wilbur had stirred up. Violet put both headphones in as they walked out of the school, the courtyard filled with students. Violet had looked down, checking to see if her mom had sent her a message, before she saw she had actually gotten a message from her friend Luz.
Luz was in and out during the semesters of the year, and she had decided to go back to her other dimension to spend the winter break there.
Luz: Hey! My friends from the 'other side' wanna meet you! Is that okay? If not I can tell them you aren't feeling up to it.
Luz: Plus, Amity is here ;)
"Hey guys." Violet said, taking one headphone out. They stopped and looked at her, stopping on the side of the courtyard. "I'm gonna meet up with a friend real quick, you guys head to the pizza place, I'll be there soon." Violet said, not really giving them a time to answer. Penny raised a brow as she watched Violet quickly walk through the crowd.
"Is she okay?"Hiro asked, before Wilbur shrugged.
"Maybe we upset her?" Wilbur asked, before Penny shook her head, starting to walk again.
"No, when she's upset she doesn't really say anything. Maybe she just wants to see her friend." Penny said, fixing the strap on her shoulder bag. Hiro huffed, pulling on his own bag straps.
"But when do we not know her friends? Aren't we like the only people she talks too?" Hiro asked, before Penny scoffed.
"Please, Violet actually has a good number of friends. She meets them through art class, and music too." Penny said, and Hiro felt uneasy.
"So I have more competition? Is that what I'm hearing?" He asked, and Wilbur chuckled as they rounded the corner, walking down the street.
"It's only competition if you let them think they have a chance." Wilbur said grinning.
"Violet! You made it!" Luz said happily as she saw Violet walk over quickly, shivering a bit.
"Yeah, I'm going out with friends for pizza in a bit so I thought I would come say bye before you leave." Violet said hugging Luz. She smiled as they pulled away, waving to Amity. She had met Amity before, on the first day of school actually. Amity seemed calm, before she stepped to the side to show everyone else. Violet had also met Eda and King, who she thought were actually very funny.
"Hey kiddo, how's it been?" Eda asked, pulling Violet into a side hug while King hugged her leg.
"It's been alright, confusing." Violet said, and Eda gave a sad smile ruffling her hair.
"You're tough kid, you got whatever your dealing with." Eda said, before looking to Luz who motioned to everyone else.
"Violet, these are my friends! This is Willow and Gus, from school." Luz said, and Willow smiled calmly wile Gus grinned a bit. Willows hair was almost a teal color, and she had large glasses. She was around Luz's height, and she smiled sweetly waving. Gus was on the shorter side, around an inch shorter than Willow. His eyes were big and so was his smile. Amity then moved to the other side of Luz, gesturing to two other people, one with longer green hair, and the other with short green hair. Both were dressed in fur coats and warm gloves.
"These are my siblings, Edric and Emira. They insisted on coming along." Amity said with an eye roll, and Emira just smiled, walking over to Violet.
"You must be Violet. My brothers been very excited to meet you." She winks, and her brother blushes. Violet's eyes go wide and she lets out a nervous laugh.
"Oh, I-I couldn't understand why. But I'm flattered." She said smiling to Edric. This was gonna be a lot of explaining later.

This was a Nightmare during my 5th grade year (Around the 2000s). This was set at my school during one of my classes. I told the teacher that I was thirsty and asked if I could go out and get some water from the water fountain. She said yes, so I stepped out into the hallway and noticed that it was all empty and quiet. There was literally not a single person or even a single sound coming anywhere. The hallway had that aroma like when you walk back to a movie theater’s lobby late at night after watching a scary movie. I then got water from the water fountain and continued like nothing happened when out of nowhere the hallway’s silence was broken by the sound of footsteps that sounded like those shoes that people tap dance in.
I dared look behind me and saw these two awful things walking at the very far end of the hallway, slowly advancing towards my direction. They looked like something out of a circus being run by Tim Burton. The 1st Entity was a really tall humanoid thing that looked like a mashup of Slenderman and Willy Wonka. It was wearing an all black suit with some red spots like a Vampire and had on a top hat like a twisted version of the Monopoly man. I can’t remember what his face looked like, but I’m pretty sure It looked like the Joker. The thing was all so holding a pair of Balloons like a clown at a child’s birthday party.
The 2nd entity was a Monkey, specifically a Chimpanzee. The thing is, however, It was just it’s head floating around like a balloon and was about the size of an undersea landmine, really big for a chimp. The 2 beings were walking down the hallway at a normal pace, but I just booked it back to my classroom and warned everyone that weird monsters were walking down the hallway. The teacher just shrugged it off and just went, “Oh yea, Those Things. They come here a lot.” like it’s normal for a Basketball player sized noodle limb Magician monster with his giant floating car sized monkey head to be walking down the hallways of our school. I woke up when the uh… things got to the door of our classroom and went inside while the entire class including the teacher were screaming.

Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief, Blog #1
(Spoilers for the first book)
Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief is a book that tells us about Percy Jackson, son of a ancient god and a human, he is presented with ADHD and Dyslexia, making it hard for him to learn and be able to learn a lot of things at school.
I have read it until chapter 3, and I can say that, by now, Percy is a good kid. He is 12 years old and in sixth grade in a private academy called Yancy Academy, where kids with bad and/or complex behavior(like him, more aggressive, maybe for kids with physical disabilities too). At first, he tells us that we shouldn't be reading this book if we think that we can be connected to him, which makes the start kinda interesting for me, but he also says that if we think this is fiction, he envy us for thinking that way. Then he explains about things that had happened to him that made him go from school to school due to having bad notes or being a problematic child, and that Yancy Academy was his sixth school in six years.
He also talks about the excursion to a museum in Manhattan, directed by his favorite teacher; mister Brunner, someone who use an automatized wheelchair and thinks of Percy as someone capable of great things, always telling him to be the best. I think this is something cute to say, but it also weights Percy with a lot of stress, because he does not see himself as someone who could be the best among his classmates or just in general.
Someone who also accompanies the excursion is miss Dodds, she shows a clear dislike for Percy, almost as if she couldn't stand him, always making him be after class and clean things in the classroom.
Percy explains, too, about two of his classmates; Nancy Bobofit and Groover. Nancy seems to be a bully, always making him be mad, making fun of him and going as far as fight with him most of the time(where miss Dodds pretends Nancy is an angel who she defends while Percy is like a little devil, which makes no sense since he tells us that she SEES Nancy and pretends she is not doing anything). And Groover seems to be someone who has repeated sixth year several times, having a small beard and with a muscular disease, walking lame, as if it hurts him, but somehow he manages to be very fast to go to the cafeteria to eat enchiladas, which is kind of funny(really, I giggled at that).
Basically the excursion was okay-ish at first; Nancy was bothering Groover and Percy, and Percy couldn't do much because he was in "trial period" and he couldn't get in trouble, so he had to let Nancy be, even if he wanted to hit her.
In the Museum, mister Brunner talks to Percy and asks him about greek gods, Zeus, his siblings and about Cronos, expecting him to answer everything correctly. And he somehow manages to answer most of the questions, but fails in one and mister Brunner is disappointed in that, then they talk a bit and are back outside to eat lunch, where Percy and Groover sits in a fountain, far from everyone.
That is when Nancy comes back to bother, at this point Percy is extremely pissed, because he hates the fact that she bullies Groover and he just cries and feels bad, so he couldn't stand that and manages to make her fall to the fountain, in the water. And she starts her act of crying and blaming Percy, even though he didn't even touch her. Miss Dodds appears, extremely mad, and Percy tries to explain that he didn't pushed her, but Groover then tries to make himself guilty, because he does not want Percy to be punished again. Miss Dodds just tells Groover to stop lying and tells Percy to go with her because he was in big trouble this time.
Percy here talks about miss Dodds and how she, basically, went to the museum's entry, and he didn't even notice, blaming his brain and ADHD for making him be "lost" and not being able to notice things. And when he stops saying that, miss Dodds is no longer near, going inside the museum, where Percy went almost running. There, miss Dodds tells him that she, basically, can't stand him anymore and will be punished.
Something weird happens, miss Dodds begins to transform in something called a "benevolent", a creature with bat wings, big, sharp and black fangs and shiny eyes. In that moment mister Brunner appears and yells to Percy to grab his pen, throwing it at him, Percy grabs it and, when he attacks miss Dodds, she basically turns into yellow smoke, leaving a terrifying aura in the hallway while mister Brunner seemed to disappear again. The pen seemed to make a blast when someone touches the part to put the tip of the pen(I don't remember the name of the button)
He goes back outside, and Nancy tells him that she hopes miss "Kerr" punished him. This part it's confusing for most of the people, mostly for those who didn't read it, because someone asks "who is Kerr?" "where did she come from?", well, that's the exact same reaction that Percy has. He asks Groover, and he seems to think, but he also tells him that miss Dodds is not real, and asks him if he is okay.
Then we go to chapter two, where everyone seems to tell Percy again and again that miss Dodds was not real, to the point he almost thought the same, but there's one person that can't lie to him; Groover. Groover seems to get nervous whenever Percy asks, being very bad to lie, which helps Percy to know that, in fact, miss Dodds was real, and what happened was also real, but somehow no one remembers. Later, Percy decides to go and study, because he has a test the next day, and needs to learn a lot of names and stories for it. However he is not able to remember a thing, because his brain, as said before, is not being capable of learning, understanding, almost as if the letters took their own way to be ordered, "dancing" how Percy describes it. So he decides that he just is going to ask mister Brunner for help, because he doesn't want him to think that he didn't put enough effort on his class, not his favorite.
Then, when he goes, he listens to Groover and mister Brunner talking about him, so he decides to listen carefully. They talk about a lot of things; the benevolent, the summer solstice, and Groover shows some kind of worry for Percy, saying that "they never past sixth grade", trying to say that this wasn't the first time, and that others like Percy "didn't make it"(died, somehow).
Because of the surprise, Percy dropped his book, making it evident that he was there, and trying to escape before being seen. He says that he saw his teacher with a bow, and he hid in a locker, saying that Groover also was helping him to find him, "smelling" the lockers, but saying that there is no one, and the talk stops(I'm pretty sure Groover noticed Percy but pretended not to, but it wouldn't make any sense at all).
Percy goes back to the bedroom and Groover is there "studying". He pretends to be okay and just goes to sleep.
The next day, Percy is told that he cannot go back to Yancy Academy after the summer by mister Brunner, and he must find another place to go. He feels bad and mister Brunner tries to make him feel better by telling him that he is special, that it was matter of time for Yancy Academy to "not be enough". But Percy takes those words badly and just goes to his room.
Last day of the trimester, Percy says goodbye to everyone, telling them that he is going back to his house, with his mom. Groover goes with him since they go to the same bus, and Percy sees that as an opportunity to talk to him about what he heard.
At first, Groover gets exalted, asking how much he heard. Percy tells him, and Groover just gives him a card with his number, but the card seems to be in ancient greek(from what it's said) and Percy is the one exalted when he notices that he can read it perfectly.
The bus stops and it is because it's motor is not working and it's coming smoke from it. From afar, Percy sees three old ladies knitting huge stockings, but the ladies look at him while doing so, startling Percy, who seems confused as why are the three old ladies looking at him.
Then they cut the fabric thread, and Percy says how that made him feel almost in danger.
The bus works again and they go inside again, Groover and Percy talking, when he says what had happened with the old ladies. Groover asked him if they say him, Percy stays quiet and that's enough to make Groover panic.
In the third chapter(the last one for today), Percy says that he abandoned Groover when he went to go to the bathroom, because he just wanted to go away. He take a taxi and went to his mom's house.
He tells us that his mom is married to a guy he calls "Stinky Gabe", because he stinks badly, is overweight and is kinda abusive to Percy's mom, using her as a chef while he plays cards in the living room, drinking beer. Personal take: I hate Stinky Gabe as much as Percy does, this is extremely justified.
When Percy goes to his mom's house, stinky gabe is who "welcomes" him, playing cards and drinking, the living room a mess, asking if he has money to give to him(I swear, this man deserves a punch in the nose). Percy lies, but Gabe seems to smell money and tells him, basically, his way of knowing, Percy throws the money at him and goes to his room.
Not so long later, his mom appears. Percy talks of her as the most sweet, caring and loving mom in the world(truthfully speaking, he's right), and explains how badly her life was, and how that didn't stop her of being the best. She comes to the room, giving Percy some candies she got from her work in a sweet's store. He gets happy while he eats some with her, not talking about Yancy, like she didn't care(Percy's words). And then she tells him good news, they are going to a cabin, the same they go together and alone since he was a toddler. He is happy to know that, and explains that there is where she met his dad, and since that day, they go there in the summer.
However she tells about the trip to Gabe, who seems "mad" because she is going away with her son, and has to use "his" car(extremely sure it's not his, he always spends everything playing, but yeah there's no information about that). She convinces him to not be mad by making him meatloaf, so he just lets her be.
The next day he seems more sad that she is leaving with "his" car and he won't have his "personal chef"(when I tell you I got MAD). Before going, Percy basically does a "little trick" and Gabe goes back inside almost flying, then goes inside the car and tells his mom to go.
In the trip, everything goes fine at first; they play on the beach, make s'mores and sausages while they talk about Percy's dad. His mom seems a bit sad about the fact that he went away, saying that he had to set sail, and he never came back.
They talk until his mom is about to cry and he changes the topic and after some time they go to sleep. There, Percy dreams with an eagle and a horse fighting on the beach, trying to say something or to help, but his attempts fail, and when the eagle is about to unalive the horse, he screams and wakes up.
His mom asks him if he is okay, is raining outside, a hurricane is coming. Percy explains that that is not supposed to happen, but "the sea forgot". Someone knocks the door, it's Groover, and he tells Percy that he shouldn't have left without him. But there is something weird with Groover, he doesn't have two legs anymore, he has four hooves, and then Percy(and me) understand why he walked so poorly, what were those "muscular diseases"(they were not that).
Percy's mom starts begins to be overwhelmed, asking Percy what he didn't told her while they run to the car, that place was not safe anymore. Groover insults in ancient greek(of the surprise) and asks Percy why he didn't tell her anything, Percy can't say what is happening, tries to pretend nothing's wrong, but for the first time his mom talks harshly to him, making him confess everything, from miss Dodds to the three old ladies he saw.

i’ve been going to school with this girl for around seven years. we’ve been kinda friendly ever since she moved here, had inside jokes and were in several of the same classes one year. for the longest time she’s always been a sort of background character to me, but definitely a background character that stuck out. she’s friends with my cousin, has been for years. we sort of lost touch when the pandemic happened, so i wasn’t able to talk to her for a while. but last year she was in two of my classes, my math class and my band class. she’d caught my interest again because i liked the hoodies she wore, and because she always had a rubik’s cube or some sort of fidget toy with her everywhere i went. i’d formed some sort of half-crush on her which faded when i found out she had a girlfriend. i was always too afraid to talk directly to her so it was always in group discussions via our mutual friends that we talked (she’d sometimes come over to our lunch table and talk to us). this year though, she’s in all of my classes except one (we’re in advanced classes with a small group of kids, so we all have extremely similar schedules). i walked into the classroom the first day and realized i’d be sitting next to her in the mornings, which was good because i didn’t know anyone else in that class. we started talking because we were both in the same friend group, and were both worried about a friend that had been struggling mentally. and so talking about them and asking if they were okay (she was much closer to them than i was) turned into me asking if /she/ was okay. she’s constantly claim she was just tired, which i knew wasn’t true. so as we got closer i asked if she really was just tired every morning. she told me that she hadn’t been sleeping right and that she wasn’t drinking enough water, and that she had also been struggling mentally. so i talked to her about it and told her how amazing i thought she was and how i thought she deserved everything she wanted. eventually i got her to start sleeping right and drinking water. she never had a water bottle with her so i’d always give her mine and resort to drinking from the fountains.
one day i was doing a sort of survey where i would document my friend’s reactions to me doing something to them. it was the same thing to everyone- i’d ask to compare hand sizes, and when i pretended to be looking closer, i’d shift my fingers to intertwine with theirs. basically holding their hand. so i did that to her too. she wasn’t prepared for that, because i watched the way her eyes got a little wider and her other hand tensed slightly (a thing she does when she’s nervous). this was at the end of the day so i walked away to go home. she went the other way. i get home and check my phone and she texted me, “frick you <3” and went on to explain how she’s easily flustered and i caught her reaaally off guard. but she liked it- she said she liked how warm my hands were. (i loved how warm her hands were too- i just didn’t tell her that.) so i started doing it to her more often. at some point we started holding hands normally, which was comforting for both of us. we talked a bit and both clarified it was a platonic thing, we didn’t like each other. except i was lying. i didn’t *know* i was lying, i hate lying to her. but since we both were labelling it platonic, we started doing other things too. like i kissed her hand one time, and the way she reacted was just so cute. she pulled away from me and walked away, something she does when she’s flustered, smiling like crazy and trying to cover her face. later she would do the same thing to me, which led to me not being able to focus for a whole class.
i started writing notes to her talking about how much i “platonically” loved her, how cute i thought she was. and in said notes asked permission to do other things. in one note i asked if i was allowed to kiss her neck. she ended up saying yes. so i wait a while, introduce a new thing. i would do the hand sizes thing and then pin her hand by her head. she liked it, and it flustered her pretty bad the first few times. then one day i do the same thing, but i kiss her cheek, and then her neck. and she just kind of looked stunned for a minute before she covered her face again and started smiling so stupidly. and that was adorable. but it got 10x better when she tried to talk and it was just, like.. this *noise* that almost sounded like a whimper but not quite. i’ve yet to kiss her neck again, but i want to soon. a few nights later, we’re texting, and the topic of crushes comes up. (at this point i was fairly certain i liked her.) so we’re both, like, describing who we like. just a few basic things. grade, hair color, gender. (we’re both pan.) and we get to the point where i asked for the first letter of their name. and she told me she’d only tell me if i told her too. so we both say it at the same time. she says a letter that’s not my initial. and i was half disappointed, but wasn’t letting that change my answer. because she needed to know. so, half reluctantly, i say “n”, which is her initial. long story short we sort it out. she liked two people, me and someone else. i liked her. so the following monday we do a note exchange like usual. and at the end of hers she asks if i’ll date her. i say yes. and we’ve been together for around a week now, a week or two. school used to feel like hell to me. but now? now i get to go to school and see her, be near her, hold her hand and kiss her face. i’d been feeling so fake, but then she made me feel so much better. so much more alive. the first time she kissed me- also the first time i kissed anyone- it just felt so right. it was quick but i could taste her chapstick for at least half an hour afterwards. she just.. grabbed my face and kissed me. and she’s kissed me almost every day since that first time. two days ago though, that was the first time she really held the kiss for more than just a second. i think it was like five seconds? but she clouded up my mind so much. i don’t remember if she grabbed my face or pinned me to the wall or what, but it just felt so amazing. i could fully take in just like, how warm her lips were, and how soft they were too. i just want her to do it again but i have to wait to see her another two days. the wait is killing me. but she makes me feel so good i know it’s worth it. i love her so much, she makes me feel so stupid. she’s perfect to me.

------ Chapter 4 ------
My whiny belly woke me up as it complained for breakfast. I sighed and forced myself out of bed. I figured it was better to get an early start on my first day. The last thing I wanted was to be late to class, to be the new kid with all the giants staring down at me. I tested out my new school uniform. To my surprise, the cloth was comfortable and loose-fitting. Maybe wearing a uniform wouldn’t be so bad after all.
Once I was ready, I steadied myself and hesitantly stepped outside, after checking to make sure no giants were nearby. The world was bathed in the soft blue light of early dawn as the sun began to rise from its slumber. Morning dew sparkled in the grass forest. I hopped on my bike and headed out. There was a slight chill in the air, but the coolness felt pleasant on my skin. I quickly became lost in the labyrinth of sidewalks. Seeing everything from the ground as opposed to the sky confused my sense of direction. I spied the main building off in the distance, towering into the heavens, but I couldn’t cut through the tall grass directly to reach it.
Eventually I found my way to the courtyard, a boundless open space with a gigantic fountain in the middle that made an Olympic swimming pool look like a cup of water. Some giants were milling about, waiting for class to start, and I went out of my way to avoid them and stay out of sight if I could. The double doors that made up the entrance to the school were propped open, so I was able to get inside without incident.
Biking through the hallways was a little more dicey. While the hallways felt extremely wide and long to me, as a human, the giants were also absolutely massive and filled the space, leaving little room for me to freely pass by. Even worse, most of them were oblivious to my existence, and stomped right into my path of travel. I weaved through the maze of giant shoes and legs until I made it to the cafeteria, gasping for breath and roiling with trepidation at the dreadful thought of being stepped on.
Breakfast smelled amazing. I could almost taste the heavenly aroma of bacon, sausage, eggs, and biscuits. My stomach grumbled. I dismounted my bike and snuck past the queue of colossal giants waiting to be fed. I couldn’t help but feel puny and insignificant. I wasn’t able to see people’s faces without craning my neck back and staring far above. I would probably become more acquainted with people’s shoes than their faces. Nobody seemed to notice me, the skittish little creature scrambling across the floor. Even if I screamed, I doubted I would be heard over the clamorous roar of giant voices.
Disturbed by this thought, I finally made it to the deserted human section of the cafeteria and walked over to the platform where my breakfast was supposed to be. There was nothing. I stood there awkwardly, looked around, scratched my head. I waited for a while, to see if maybe the lunch ladies were just running late, but nobody came. The giant students were starting to leave the cafeteria to go to their respective classrooms. I didn’t want to be late, so I rushed over to my bike and left for my first class of the day. I’d come back for lunch, I guess. I could make it until then.
Luckily for me, my first class was just across the hall, so I didn’t have to dodge too many giant shoes to get there. I parked my bike, went up the stairs, claimed a desk, and waited for class to start. Other students stomped in, shaking the human desks slightly, chatting noisily and laughing with their friends. I sat motionless, drooping down in my seat, grateful to be ignored. I stuffed down the fear that was rising inside me at seeing so many giant people in one place.
The teacher, a heavyset middle-aged woman, marched in and started class. First period was math. Ugh. I struggled to pay attention with my hungry belly as she droned on. She wrote a jumble of numbers and letters and symbols on the chalkboard that I couldn’t make heads or tails of. She directed the students to open their textbooks to a certain page and ran through some sample problems, calling on students as the lesson progressed. I glanced around at the other students as they focused on their work. I was never issued any textbooks. Was I supposed to have one? I was tempted to ask the teacher, but the thought of drawing attention to myself gave me a stab of fear. Furthermore, the giantess didn’t acknowledge me or look my way at all, as if she didn’t know I was there. I became increasingly baffled and anxious as the lesson dragged on.
Finally, the bell rang. From the schedule I had been given, I knew I had ten minutes to get to my next class. However, the stampede of giants rushing out the door and through the halls would make such a feat difficult and dangerous. I collected my bike and waited for an opening, my heart palpitating fast. I dived into the sea of legs and shoes and pedaled like my life depended on it—which it did, because one wrong move would instantly turn me into a red stain on the bottom of someone’s shoe.
Somehow, miraculously, I survived and got to class with only seconds to spare. Second period was English, and the experience was roughly the same as my first class. The teacher discussed some reading material I hadn’t read and assigned homework to read a passage from a textbook I didn’t have. I had trouble focusing with how hungry I was. The giants in the room failed to notice me, just like before, although I realized if somebody was looking my way I might not see them, since their heads were so high up above my plane of vision.
The bell sounded off again, signaling the start of lunch. I didn’t have to rush this time, so I waited until the foot traffic had died down before going back to the cafeteria. I was disappointed to find, yet again, no meal waiting for me to pick up. I wasn’t sure what to do. I sat down at one of the tables to wait a little while. Lunch was a full hour, so maybe the food just wasn’t ready yet. I watched, alone, as the gargantuan students around me talked with their friends, laughed, and ate their meals. I considered raising a fuss with the giant kitchen staff, but I was far too intimidated to even try.
As most of the giants finished eating and left, the lunchroom started to gradually empty out. I tried to work up the courage to ask for food, but I felt myself drowning in a soup of terror, anxiety, distress, and pain. I became aware that one of the giants was staring at me. He was a tall, pale, lanky giant with freckles, wavy red hair that almost reached his shoulders, and green eyes. I tried to avoid glancing at him but his stare never faltered. He stood up, holding his tray of half-eaten food, and began prowling towards me. I started to panic. I didn’t know what to do. He squatted down to get closer to my level and I almost fell out of my chair.
“Well, what do we have here?” the giant teen queried with a sneer. His tone was snarky, not friendly. “You didn’t get any food, did you? Are you hungry?” He flashed his teeth in an icy smile. I noticed his canines seemed larger than they should be, even when taking into consideration his gigantic size.
I knew he had been observing me, sitting here in the lunch area with no food, so I couldn’t deny the veracity of his assertion. “Y-y-yes,” I stuttered. My body quivered against my will.
He set his tray down in front of me. “You’re free to take some of my food, if you’d like.” I froze up. I was hungry, but not that hungry. His smile deepened, but his eyebrows arched down in anger. Before I could react, he reached out his hand and ensnared me in his fist. I yelped and fought against his grip, but my struggles were in vain. He grinned wider, showing off more of his giant teeth.
“Here, have some yogurt,” he jeered. He dropped me headfirst into his yogurt cup with a plop. The yogurt filled my mouth and nose and I couldn’t breathe. I flailed about until my head resurfaced, gasping for air. The thick, creamy substance clung to my hair and skin. I was thoroughly disgusted.
The giant laughed cruelly and dipped a plastic spoon into the cup, lifting me out with the utensil. I was small enough to fit comfortably into the curved end of the spoon. I hoped desperately he was done teasing me and would end there, but to my horror he raised me up to his lips.
“No,” I whimpered. “You wouldn’t… please don’t…”
He showed off his immense teeth, gleaming with moisture. “Oh, but I would!” He gleefully opened his mouth and slipped the spoon inside. I belted out an unholy wail as his cavernous mouth closed around me, trapping me in hot, humid darkness. He slurped me off the spoon and sucked the yogurt off my body. His huge meaty tongue explored my tiny frame, rubbing against me and squeezing me against his teeth. I was quickly saturated with saliva. He forced me in between his molars and pressed his rows of teeth together, as if he were going to bite down and crush me, but didn’t actually chew me up.
I was petrified. Would he swallow me? Did giants eat humans? I had naively assumed they wouldn’t, considering they had made a school for us to commingle, but I realized there was nothing physically stopping them from doing so. I was small enough to easily slide down his throat into his stomach, like a dollop of yogurt. He wouldn’t even need to chew. I screamed and scratched at the flesh and teeth smothering me, but there was nothing I could do. I was helpless.
Thankfully, he spat me back out into the yogurt cup and laughed derisively. I coughed and sucked in mouthfuls of clean air. He glared down at me, shivering and covered in fluid, with the upmost scorn and contempt.
“Disgusting, lowly human,” he snarled. “You don’t deserve to be here with us superior giants, you filthy little shrimp.” He tossed the cup carelessly to the ground and stomped off. The cup had tipped on its side, and I stayed where I had fallen in a puddle of yogurt. The bell rang for class, but that was far from my mind. The cafeteria grew quiet since mostly everyone had left.
I didn’t bother getting up. I felt worse than I ever had in my entire life. I was garbage; I deserved to be laying here in garbage. I almost wished that giant had just eaten me, so I’d be dead and I wouldn’t have to be here anymore. Nobody would miss me anyways. Dad had abandoned me, and now Mom had dumped me here to get rid of me. Apparently none of the students or teachers cared if I was here or not, I was too inferior to be noticed, and if they did see me they hated me. I sobbed, great big heaving sobs that wracked my whole body.
In the distance, I heard voices. I absolutely did not want to be discovered in this pathetic, lowly state. I tried to quiet my sobs, but by now the dam had burst and I couldn’t stop the flood of tears: They poured out of me with howls and moans and heaving, shuddering breaths. The pain even became physical, a sharp stabbing pain in my chest. I was broken beyond belief. I just couldn’t take it anymore.
“I know I’m a little late, but is there any food left?” a deep voice rumbled. “Oh, thank you! I appreciate it!” I recognized that voice. Mr. Henderson, the vice principal. I felt another pang in my chest. My devastated heart felt like it was going to explode. Again, I attempted in vain to cease my wailing, but somehow it managed to grow louder instead, as if a wild animal was clawing its way out of me.
“Do you hear something?”
I was desperate to not be found, but by now I was completely out of control. The floor vibrated with approaching heavy footsteps. A familiar giant black shoe thumped down near the entrance to the cup. My breath caught in my throat for a moment, followed by chest spasms and another uncontrollable sob. A shadow fell over me and the walls of the plastic cup compressed with pressure from giant fingers. I felt a wave of nausea as the cup was thrust hundreds of feet into the air. I screwed my eyes shut. I didn’t want to look, didn’t want to be seen. I pleaded silently to for him to just leave me alone. But it was too late: I couldn’t hide now. I was exposed and powerless.
“Wha… Eren?! What are you doing in there?” his enormous voice boomed. I looked up through my tears at his shocked face, so huge and close, and continued to sob violently. I felt so ashamed. I was a disaster. A mess of tangled emotions flickered across his face—confusion, horror, sadness, anger. I turned away in shame and cringed, still crying. Giant fingers wrapped around me and gently removed me from the cup. Despite how filthy I was, he enveloped me in his hand and carried me away.
