Okay since you're now the official "could this person be neurodivergent?" resource, can I ask for your thoughts on Jarvis Cocker? Because like...he hates change so much he kept a used-up bar of soap for decades because it was the last one with the old label on it. And he always wanted to be famous because he found socializing intimidating and wanted other people to approach him first and felt like being famous was the only way to achieve that. Idk if he has any other nd traits though and I might just be projecting onto him so I wanted to hear your analysis.
iām so happy to be cited as that source hshshdh thank you anonā¦ i have had a thought and iām not sure but i can actually see it now that youāve mentioned?? let us analyse:
the entire good pop, bad pop book is a good example of his autistic traits - the premise of the book is looking through things of his he kept because he became emotionally attached to it. you mentioned the soap; itās not just that, in the book he mentions he bought a bottle of cordial just because they were changing the design. heās adamant to change and gets emotionally attached to objects, to better or for worse.
in interviews he tends to play with his hands a lot, not really sitting still, and always seems to be rubbing his hands as a stim. you can tell when heās nervous because he gets a little stiff and plays with his hands - assuming this is as a stim?
i guess he sort of follows the social āruleā thing, on interviews he mentioned he never really got āPR trainingā and he would just say whatever he wanted and whatever was real. he didnāt really stop himself from talking about whatever he wanted (usually about girls š) even if it was seen as being rude. maybe the whole non-conformist thing might be apart of not understanding social rules? he didnāt want to be the same as everybody else so he tried to branch out by being different and wearing odd shirts and cutting his hair different ways and wearing āold styleā suits.
heās also had a few interests that could probably be considered hyperfixations - john peel and his bbc radio show, and also top of the pops (thereās definitely more but i canāt think of them).
and the socialising thing definitely!!! now that you bring that up i actually see it and think he does have it tbh. if anyone has anything to add the floor is open for discussion š¤
#thank you anon i had fun doing this#hit me up for more analysis of Are Your Favs Neurodivergent?#there are so many comedians i could do this with lmao#jarvis cocker#pulp#britpop

i really want to start making a table collecting statistics on the audience demographics i'll perform my aubrey material for (like what generation most of the audience is, whether i'm performing in a predominantly queer space, etc.) and how well the jokes land bc like. i need to collect more data points before i can properly present my findings but the results so far have been fascinating
#again i do not have enough performance experiences to make any definitive claims about who ''aubery's audience'' is#but i find it funny that any time i show my aubrey material one-on-one to a queer gen z person#they're always like ''i love it but straight people will definitely hate it or not get it''#and i get the inclination to be like. ''i like this thing so people like me will like this thing''#and cishet society seems so polarized w/r/t queer topics it's like. the assumption makes sense#however. whenever i've done an aubrey performance in front of an audience that's predominantly queer and gen z#i've actually received a primarily negative response!! and somehow straight people have never given me shit for my aubrey material#(''well straight allys don't count'' i told some of my aubrey jokes to a joe rogan dudebro and he enjoyed them)#(which yeah maybe could be a mark against my comedy but i like to think i opened his mind a bit at the very least)#i really want to test my aubrey monologues in front of a primarily gen x/boomer audience#bc so far i only have actual performance experience in front of gen z or millennials#and the older people i've told jokes to individually or shown videos of my stuff have really liked it#luckily paul has said a goal for when i'm in town this summer is to get me to perform my aubrey stuff in as many different places as possib#for both queer audiences and non-queer audiences so i can gauge reactions since i don't want to be confined to one demographic#so i'll get a lot of data points this summer#@ paul get me a performing slot at senior citizen pride lmao these are my people#(shoutout to paul going ''jess stop collecting the old homos!'' last time i was in town)#(and when i imitated him and was like ''old gay men are not your pokemon!'' bellini was like ''ok but they may be your audience'')#also one data point i really want to see the variation on is how my one specific joke plays in these different demographics#bc i have a joke that like. it's literally not even about AIDS and doesn't punch down at all#i literally say ''if you're gay and over the age of 50 you could violate the geneva convention and i'd still be like support our troops''#like obviously being like ''you have been through hell so i will let you get away with literal war crimes you deserve ultimate immunity''#BUT. in the line right before the quote i use the phrase ''AIDS generation'' not as a derogatory term but being like.#this horrible thing impacted the entire generation y'know? and bellini and scott and their friends call themselves that it's just the term#but when i said the phrase ''AIDS generation'' in front of my gen z audience i heard gasps and felt like they all hated me#and when i did the same line in front of millennials it wasn't quite as striking but their eyes did widen#like i was suddenly an ''edgy comedian''. but like this is a part of our history and it does inform the story i'm telling#the story i'm telling is comedic but it's grounded in this real world context#and i'm like. @ the audience who was offended: when was the last time any of y'all spoke to a gay man over the age of 50#bc bellini loves that section of the monologue and was offended that people would even take offense to that phrase

When Iām playing genshin, Iām mostly listening to either Paternity Court, or Steve Wilkos. Imagine the characters hearing all of the stuff and being so scandalized by the results and comments. Or being genuinely disgusted and heartbroken for the victims in more serious cases. I can def see a good chunk of them being invested
I donāt think Iāve listened to those yet! I do occasionally get on a true crime binge listen, however the weirdest thing my characters have heard has gotta be Game Grumps episodes or compilations lol
What if i listened to every season of Buzzfeed Unsolved.
What would we do then my Genshin characters, my people, what then.
I saw someone else write about this true crime documentary thing but they described everyone being pretty terrified or disgusted by the podcasts
Which I definitely think some would be literally horrified lmao
But also I think a lot of them definitely would be invested-
I mean shit,
you're listening to your God and they just start playing this like uncomfortably detailed intricate crime case/murder report???
I would be so interested in what kind of person they were, and why they were listening to true crime stuff,Ā
so needless to say characters like Heizou and Yelan would definitely be into it, maybe Kujou Sara as well?
I can see Zhongli getting into it too and Raiden
I mean don't get me wrong plenty would be disturbed
like rest in peace BarbaraĀ š
but like it would be fascinating to them too!!
cuz they don't know anything about our world so they could learn a lot about it thru listening to this stuff
tho it probably cause a lot of confusion whenever they hear things like phone or computer or car lol
you know stuff that hasn't been invented yet for them or there is no equivalent, but they
would deffo interrogate u about ur world when u get to Teyvat
ā¤
okay but on a more silly motherfucker note-
what if I was playing Game Grumps around them lol, would they be like oh my God our Creator has the best comedians or hilarious friends
like you know how a king has jesters? š
I feel like they would think that instead of a recording definitely, especially because most of these things are just people talking and not like, a speech or something
because audio recordings could exist for them, they would probably get it in concept, they do have Ley lines that do that afterall (and now Kameras)
ā§
Omg,
oh no, would they think that you're getting these reports in person??Ā Or even like your SOLVING all these crimes??Ā
esp bc I know myself and I tend to sometimes be talking to Genshin characters like,
"damn that's how he got arrested? How stupid he could've blah blah blah i sound like a hardened cop playing a gacha game lmao blah blah...."
it'd be so funny to see that one play out
when u get whisked away to teyvat and Heizou and Yelan are just:
"oh my God can you help us with all these cases we love your mind, or get your servants to help us?"
THEY WOULDNT EVEN BELIEVE U IF U TRIED TO BE LIKE "no no please ur the professionals idk wtf im doing guys-"
Heizou/Yelan: š¤Øš¤Ø
"likely story Most Honorable God, but we heard quite the fascinating theories just last week before u descended, hmmm...."
u cant win,Ā
honestly everyone would probably just assume ur not only the god who created/built teyvat but also have a domain in justice, comedy or honestly whatever u be playing all the time, including music, people would definitely think ur a music god too
esp if ur like me and u just turn on a cool Spotify playlist while u play sometimes, like they've probably never heard so many radically different genres songs, and so many back to back
(could definitely see a myth about u having an immortal inexhaustible musician band that has access to all the songs of the universe that u make them play for you, once again, would be hard to deny bc that's a pretty accurate description of spotify lol)
ā”
srry abt my āØļøass writingāØļø anon!!
I am getting to these old asks so late I hope u guys r alright with getting answered so late, ya boy has been busyĀ
Im busy partially bc i have a end of year art exhibition!
Basically at my university, if ur an art major, u have to have some of ur best work from ur time at university and display it in a Senior year art exhibition in the university's art museum! Its super cool! And stressful! :D!!
Anyway im so happy i have no object permanence bc everytime i open my drafts or my inbox, even the old asks :( , areĀ a new surprise every time :D lmao

Hoyo and the white skin
I've seen people fighting about Natlan and previously Sumeru and the representation of skin color and I just want to point out that
Hoyo is a Chinese game
The Chinese beauty standards include pale skin as also many SouthEastern Asian countries
2 out of 4 of the servers are SouthEastern Asian countries including the home of the game
I think that when developing the game Hoyo focused more on pleasing the home country (and surrounding countries) than America and such.
Like in *some* American games you see the American beauty standards on people who may come from a culture where it's not the beauty standards. They do that to appeal to the American audience. Not the other international folks that play the game.
Also one thing that pisses me off is that (I'm betting) it's white people that are pissed. Like skinless chicken, only cinnamon in the spice drawer white.
I'm hella white but I think we should let the people who come from the culture that is being represented figure out wether it's properly portrayed or not.
I've seen poc say that the lighter skin is fine because representation is MORE THAN SKIN COLOR. I do get the fuss over not letting a poc voice the characters though.
One thing that popped up when I heard the argument was that a few months or so, my school has a bridge with chainlink that you could stick plastic cups in (we used it for when a football player died or homecoming) and some people put the n- word on it.
People who followed the school Facebook group knew about it but it didn't get addressed to us students till like a week later. After they made the announcement, I overheard (not eavesdropping but information gathering) some black students say that they didn't really care about it and some even told the teacher that.
The person who made the announcement what a white woman and even then I thought it was stupid that a white person got more offended at that then the black folks did.
It's like that comedian bit (idk who) who offered his mexican gardener tequila and his white sister said 'Why? Cuz he's Mexican?' And the gardener was like 'Why? You have it?' Lmao.
Back more to the topic at hand Hoyo even said that it was just a fictional game, which it is. And fiction isn't always exactly 100% or even 80% accurate. I say us whitey-tighties stop getting our undies in a bunch and let the people Hoyo is trying to represent get the louder voice.
That's all and it kinda got derailed into somewhat of a rant (my mother actually got the brunt of it lmaoo) but that's my thoughts on Natlan and Hoyo and all that. But this is coming from a dyslexic, adhd, emotionally constipated ho who wrote this while have WWIII with a fucking fly on the highway.
#hoyoverse#natlan#hyv#kinda unrelated but i saw an Argenti fanart where he was tan and people were fighting about his skincolor and i even saw a russian#guy just say 'racist'#also with fanarts with like cyno or kaeya ppl are like 'why they so white?' and noone has the skin colored#just enjoy the fanart and stop worrying about the damn skin color#also saw someone say that their white wall has more representation than Genshin#just took a picture of their wall in a dark room with the flash#thats called shade where skin has tone and hues#didnt like youthforia come out (congrats) with just a pitch black shade?#that was funny

TMAGP 16 LIVE REACTION
here we go again! featuring: me doing a computing quiz in prep for my exam as i listen to the horrors
obvious spoiler warning ahead
Pre-Episode
Once again relying on spotify since my youtubes still being weird
Ads gives me times to set up the bulletpoints tho so thats good
haha not the hello jon reference
titles relatable lmao
Pre Statement
Omg alice actually spoke about her trauma no-one expected that
"i'm alright" babes youre not fooling anyone
"hadnt seen someone die since..." more alice lore? is this her parents?
yeah of course you believe her celia
I'm glad alice actually told someone about it, i was worried she was just gonna hold it in. her horror film survival skills have proven me wrong yet again
alice :(
alice do not manifest that into existence
Statement
loving this girl already
INK5SOUL
INK5OUL REVEAL
they sound kind of monotone(?) dunno if thats intentional or if its just me but thatd be cool if it was
omg we're gonna hear them get horror-ified by tattoos
"whats the worst that could happen?" oh honey...
oh i guess no tattoo audio, just concerning noises
what happened jesus
INK5OUL SITUATIONSHIP HUH???
DID THEY MANIFEST THEMSELF A SITUATIONSHIP WITH A HEART TATTOO OMG THATS AMAZING
im loving the special effects and genz slang
"big mood am I right?" girl RUN
i wonder how many influencers could get away with trying to meet a fan in a graveyard and proceeding to give them a shovel and tell them to dig
not the "you said you were goth" are they gonna start asking for 5 different goth bands
i wonder how the cymatics of physically affecting someone with a tattoo works. like do you have to actually alter the tattoo and it gives them diseases or bad luck or can you just manifest it with the power of gothic tattoos and eldritch horror
im guessing theyre referring to the sea guy in a previous statement who met ink5oul?
oh no poor girl :(
i love the fact that ink5oul takes being an influencer seriously tho, idk i just kind of expected them to be kind of removed from their fans and and instead just totally focused on their craft like some people can be. id buy both depictions tbh but theres something about them using their platform as well as their weird ability that makes them more interesting, especially as im assuming their fans are just like that and arent also following the same powers as 1nksoul
oh god
holy shit
hell of a metaphor tho
this poor girl oh my god :(((
Post Statement
oh alice :(
nice to see sam and celia be there for her though. i feel bad for alice but my samalicelia heart is loving this

pinned post bc yeag
So, my name is Robert Bartolomeo but I have like, some nicknames ofc, I ain't tellin' 'em here rn. I go by he/him, I'm Mexican, transgender and I'm autistic with ADHD n OCD (send help). This is mainly a Starkid blog, some TCB and with the occasional mention of some other interests which are tbh quite some
If anyone wants to talk with me, feel absolutely free to do it. I would like to add that as normal as my typing seems when I post, I actually have terrible spelling n ton of typos when textin directly through DM or textin in general, even tho I still kinda try to be lowkey understandable (I cannot fuckin understand myself)
Feel free to send asks about anything, either if it's jus for interaction or questions, I'm totally fine w it n I love talkin so yeah. Even if we are not mutuals, you can totally send asks.
Anyone can ask for discord by DMing me btw
(more under the cut)
I'd call myself not so social (almost at all) but I do really, really appreciate when people wanna talk to me since socializing is a huge problem for me, so yup, everyone is welcome to interact with me.
Some of my interests are: Splatoon, The Good Place, Musical comedians (As in musical stand up and some comedy artists), some other musicals like Beetlejuice, Heathers, Jesus Christ Superstar and others. I'm also DEEPLY obsessed with Van Gogh, his paintings, his history and even other artists he was connected to like Paul Gauguin (who I fuckin' hate but I like learnin' 'bout him)
Going more deeply with my interest on musical comedians (since it's actually a pretty big term lmao), most of my interest goes to stand up musical comedians, those who are still on stage and off, like Bo Burnham, Tim Minchin, Tom Lehrer, Garfunkel and Oates, etc. But most of my interest goes to Bo Burnham and Tim Minchin, I can't physically be normal about them at all. I'm also in love with other works besides comedy some of them make or have been involved in, like movies and other projects. I LOVE Eighth Grade, Upright, Zach Stone Is Gonna Be Famous, and many others.
Also i think it would b silly to mention that my username are just the initials of my full name + deluxe. I just like the word deluxe so I put it there tbh (and it's also a reference but shhhh you saw nothing)
Imma write some silly fun facts about me n shit now.
Back to Starkid: My two ever fuckin' favorite starkid musicals will always be Black Friday and TTO. I will defend those fuckers until the day I die ALONG with Cinderella's Castle. I cannot be normal about any of these shows. No one will ever fuckin understand BF as much as I do
I also love writing little simple analysis of some characters and even scenes I love, even if most of them I do not end up posting bc I either didn't like how I phrased it or I just think it could be way better (or maybe it's just too stupid). Something I find fun to overanalyze are the most unimportant shit to the lore in general, I like to think about the specifics of even one singular character, even if it doesn't change much about the lore of Hatchetfield as in general. I love every single little detail there is. (and by little I mean LITTLE. like, hey, did you know that during Feast Or Famine, Tom does the āSquee squeeā motion like this emojiš¤?? THAT KIND OF LITTLE DETAIL I MEAN.)
Yeah so like. As I mentioned this is a SK blog but I also like to fuckin complain a lot. about everything. Im a damn complaining bitch and there is absolutely nothing I can do about it. Either if it's fandom related or just every day shit, I will always fuckin complain.
More stupid shit. For some fucking reason (many (almost my whole life)) I fuckin relate to Barry fucking Swift (Barry is literally. like one of my few nicknames. It's insane) n. yeag. I'm not even surprised.
Oh and just thought I's mention. I know im a fuckin asshole n a jerk I dont need fuckin reminders about it. thank yewwww C:

New Beginnings - Bill Hader x f Reader
Part 1
Warnings: language! just some fluff, I'd also like to point out that Bill was never married in this dimension lmao. I'm hoping to make this a very detailed multi part fan fic. There isn't too much in this first part... i just wanted to lay out some background details for the remainder of the story! I am feeling really nervous to post this but hey! why not!
Word Count: 2.1 k
You are new to the SNL writing team and you quickly learn that it is impossible to not fall for Bill Hader at a rapid speed.
Part 2
MASTERLIST
. . .
The rain gently trickled against your window as you laid in bed, desperately trying to draw out your time soaking in the comfort of your pillows before you began your first lengthy day at SNL.
Wow. I'm really doing this.
You were nervous, and you had to admit to yourself the affect your feelings had on the motivation you so badly lacked for the day. You let out a groan, and half-heartedly threw yourself out of bed and proceeded to make your way to your washroom.
You should be excited for this.
The thoughts were rushing through your head at a pace you felt were uncontrollable, yet you continued with your morning routine. As the cold water washed over your face you felt a sense of transparency, and for the first time in the past week you felt as though this first day might not be as bad as you anticipated.
. . .
Growing up in a small town made the move to New York much more difficult. You always had an interest in writing and hoped one day you would be able to make a career out of it. Sure, you did stand up, but it wouldn't be able to pay your bills forever. You hopped between serving and bartending as it was a good way for you to make money through tips. Your family undermined your skills and that was just more of a reason for you to push yourself out of your comfort zone, and prove them wrong.
Thankfully you had spent a large chunk of time working in stand up comedy. You had travelled to many places throughout the country and wrote for not only yourself, but a handful of other amateur comedians. You lucked out while working a gig at a comedy club in New York City with a couple of your stand up buddies; John Mulaney just so happened to be at the show with the intentions of possibly scouting out a new writer for this season of SNL, as they were expecting one of the current writers to be leaving only a few months into the season.
As you finished your gig, you felt happiness wash over you. You knew that was your best gig yet. The audience had an energy unlike any other audience you had performed for.
You quickly headed to the bar afterwards, wanting to have a celebratory drink. As you stood waiting at the bar you heard your name being called from behind you, "Y/N Y/L/N?". You turned around, confused, because people didn't typically approach you after your gigs. You were still an amateur after all, and who would want to take photos with someone like yourself? But too much surprise you were face to face with one of your biggest inspirations; John Fucking Mulaney.
You felt your stomach turn while you were frozen with shock, "Y/N, right?" he spoke again with a cheeky smile, clearly recognizing your feelings of anxiousness. "Sorry, yes! That's my name! Don't wear it out!" you mentally face-palmed yourself after the words left your mouth with instant regret. But John just laughed, he was the last to judge someone with a quirky sense of humour as he was just the same.
After chatting for some time, John invited you to audition for a writing position at SNL. He enjoyed your sense of humour and thought you would be a great fit in the team, especially as he saw potential for the two of you to write together.
You could say your audition went well, as not only a week later you were contacted with the wonderful news that you were accepted on to the team. You felt so proud of yourself, knowing this is an accomplishment that many people don't get the pleasure of experiencing.
. . .
And that is how you ended up where you were on this dreary New York Monday morning.
Your apartment was small, but enough for you. As you finished getting yourself ready you quickly made a coffee, although the caffeine would most likely make you even more nervous than you already were to begin with.
I've got this. John Mulaney liked me. I wouldn't have passed the audition if they didn't like me. Snap out of this.
You were within walking distance to 30 Rock, so you began your walk embracing the cool colourless weather along the way. It's almost like nature was curing your anxious nerves. As you breathed in the cool air you felt your heart rate slow, and your mind wander to exciting thoughts, rather than nervous thoughts.
Will the members like me? I can't wait to meet some of my favourite comedians... Maybe my sketch will make it this week...
You approached 30 Rock and made your way up to the studio, not sure where to go or who to talk to. As the elevator doors opened you were met with chaos. The floor was filled with people. You assumed majority of these people were the ones working behind the scenes as you were only met with a few familiar faces. Suddenly, your eyes locked with a tall blue eyed man. Your heart rate quickly raised and goosebumps covered your body
Bill Hader. Holy Shit. He's beautiful.
He quickly rushed over to your surprise, and extended his arm to shake your hand, "My names Bill, I'm going to assume you are Y/N? John was telling me you'd be joining the team!". You quickly shook his hand, not wanting him to feel the sweat that had accumulated on your palms since you locked eyes with him. But my God, your knees nearly buckled the second you made contact almost as though you were melting to the ground.
Of course I know who he is. He's Bill Hader. Who doesn't know who he is? Holy shit we just touched.
He flashed you a nervous smile, "Here, follow me. I just saw John a few minutes ago. We'll hunt him down together" he said, followed by a cute little wink.
Just as you thought you had your nerves under control, the world around you felt as though it was spinning. You followed behind Bill through the chaos while he would glance behind him periodically to make sure you were still tagging along.
You arrived at a door that was briefly opened. Bill gently knocked and proceeded to open the door where you were met with John propped up at a desk twiddling a pen between his fingers with a concentrated look washed upon his face; "Y/N! Welcome to your first day!", he said with a big smile while wiggling his eyebrows playfully at you.
. . .
You spent your first day working alongside John, shadowing his work and learning the typical Monday schedule; everyone would settle down at a table, including the host, and sketch ideas would be thrown around. You felt quite nervous to speak up, but you and John had done some chatting beforehand and he assured you that everyone was eager to hear your ideas.
You threw some ideas out, but nothing really stuck, and that took a toll on your spirit for the week. Lorne wrapped up the jam session, and you met Bill's eyes as you looked up from your papers, you flashed him a small smile. It was almost as if he could notice the stress that had consumed you throughout the meeting. As you were grabbing your things and getting ready to meet with John in his office, you felt a hand gently placed on your shoulder; it was Bill.
"Y/N, is everything okay?", he said with great concern. What a sweet soul he has. You sighed, "Yeah, yeah, I just wish I would have been able to get a sketch into the lineup but it's okay, I guess." you said with a soft smile, "You wanna come to John's office with me?".
The two of you began walking towards John's office when Bill wrapped his arm around your shoulders and leaned in, "Seriously, don't let today get you down. You can help John and I write the Stefon sketch for this week. It'll be great". You felt like you were on a cloud. The feeling of his warm breath against your neck; the closeness shared between the two of you in that moment was never something you thought would occur.
Holy Shit. He just put his arm around me. What the fuck is going on right now... Is this really happening?
The two of you entered Johns room and from that moment on you felt a sense of relief. Being around John and Bill just felt right. You felt like a missing puzzle piece that was finally discovered; you felt like you finally found your place in the world.
The three of you chatted for awhile, getting to know each other on a deeper level. John had been working on SNL for three years at this point, and Bill had been there for six years; no wonder these two seemed so content with the regular schedule of SNL, the process was as easy as riding a bike to them. Whereas you felt the process was like a big cloud hanging over you, you were eager for Sunday to arrive already.
You told you life story to the two of them, leaving both of them to be surprised by the experiences you've had in the industry at the ripe age of 25. You felt so young and naive compared to them though. But their lack of judgement on you made you feel even more comfortable to open up to them.
. . .
The three of you finished your conversation and you said your goodbyes. As you walked down the hallway towards the elevators you felt relieved. Today went okay, maybe not exactly how you planned it would go, but it was okay. Not only did it end on a good note but you couldn't believe the instant connection you made with Bill. You tried to not be consumed in your thoughts; keeping a sense of clarity. You couldn't deny the way Bill made you feel, but it was only your first day and you needed to slow your eager thoughts down.
As you stood waiting for the elevator you heard quick paced steps behind you. You turned around and saw Bill nearly out of breath with his hands placed on his knees. "Woah there buddy, you okay?" you said followed by a few giggles, "I didn't want to miss you before you left, I was wondering if you'd maybe wanna grab a coffee and chat a bit more?" he said with almost a flustered look plastered on his face. "Yeah, sure." you managed to get out while feeling your heart rate rise.
He wants to spend one on one time with me?
Bill lead the way, flagging down a cab where he gave the address of a beloved coffee shop he would swing by before a long day at the studio. Little did you know Bill was excited to take you to one of his special places. He felt the same as you, eager to build your friendship and possibly one day be more than just friends.
The two of you conversed for a few hours. At first you felt tense, was this a date? No, no don't get ahead of yourself Y/N. Bill wanted to know everything about your upbringing. He seemed so interested in you and that made you fall for him even more.
"Do you live near by? I would love to walk you home if you don't mind", he said with a sweet, nervous smile. You felt so enamoured by the moment, "Absolutely, I would love that."
The two of you walked shoulder to shoulder through the busy streets of New York. Moments of silence would occur, but at no point did it feel awkward. It was comfortable silence. You kept catching Bill glancing down at you and you'd meet his face with a soft smile. The evening had been everything and more. And as the two of you approached your apartment complex you felt a sense of sadness. You didn't want the evening to end. You had grown so fond of him over the last few hours, your mind wondered where your relationship could possibly end up. He made you excited to be back in the office tomorrow.
"Well! Here's my stop!" you said followed with a giggle. You turned to face him and your eyes met. The both of you enjoyed it for a few moments before you smiled at Bill, "I'll see you tomorrow morning, bright and early Hader" followed by a cheeky wink. "You betcha, Y/N".
You walked into your complex, shortly arriving at your front door. You entered your living room, placed your book bag down, and plopped yourself on the couch. It was time for you to get some rest before the frantic week that laid before you.
A new beginning, I cannot wait.

that sims family was so intricate to the point i could write a legit series of novels about them. i made them in like 2018? i think. and it started with just a normal married couple and they were boring but they gave birth to two kids and then the daughter became a painter and the son justin became a struggling standup comedian who married his high school sweetheart. his wife chelsea was a workaholic programmer and provided for the family while he went to open mics and tried to make a living. meanwhile they gave birth to a son and a daughter. eventually he had his big break and became a successful standup comedian. he was also constantly struggling with unmedicated bipolar disorder.
but then he OBVIOUSLY became an alcoholic and couldn't do shows without getting trashed beforehand and he'd come home and drink. but he was so successful (alongside his wife who was making a killing as a programmer at a thriving startup/doing her own projects on the side) they got to move into a big house. but the whole time justin was just getting trashed. and eventually his son travis (yes i know what their names are LMAO fuck off it was my bad) was in high school and started hanging out with the Wrong Crowd. so he started selling weed and eventually coke.
justin found out his son was selling drugs and got upset but then they made a deal where his son would provide him with free cocaine in exchange for his silence. chelsea was too busy being obsessed with her job to notice.
meanwhile their daughter norma inherited her dad's bipolar disorder but channeled it into her creative pursuits.
travis eventually grew up and moved out to be roommates with his childhood best friend rowan? i think was his name. the green hat guy. and anyway even though his dad was a famous standup comedian he chose to live in squalor in a really shitty rundown trashed apartment. rowan sold drugs alongside travis in this shitty apartment and they'd always have girls over and have threesomes with them. travis had no desire to follow in his dad's footsteps or take advantage of his family's wealth and just wanted to be a bartender with sleeves who got high all day.
norma also grew up and moved to the city but started acting and struggled for a bit but eventually her nepotism got her ahead and she became so super famous that she got to move to a giant mansion in the hills with her boyfriend who she met on set. her boyfriend was much less successful than she was. she eventually won the sims equivalent of an oscar (i forget what it was called lmao) and they had a child but never got married.
MEANWHILE. travis accidentally knocked up one of the girls he'd been casually seeing on and off since high school who was working as a barista/camgirl. she claimed to not know whose baby it was but everyone knew it was his. she said she was too poor to take care of the baby (avery) and moved in with travis and rowan. but then one day she said she couldn't do it anymore and RAN OFF leaving travis and his roommate to raise a TODDLER in what was essentially a drug den where they sold weed, coke and molly.
finally after months of struggling travis broke down and asked his dad for the money he'd been turning down for so many years which his ailing alcoholic father obviously gave to him with no questions asked and travis moved out to the desert in a big house with his toddler daughter to start a new life. he still worked as a bartender but at a fancier place and he finally accepted his father's help.
i think i covered all the basics there.

okay iāve watched a few seasons now, and iām about to move into pre-new era seasons so-
that do or die twist is so unserious omg
i know big brother has gaslighting, spying, & manipulating too but these people just straight up going through each otherās bags is so funny, they all talk about lifelong friendships but they also donāt give a FUCK lmao
(none of these are in any order, just top 4)
faves in 41: shan, xander, erika, evvie
faves in 42: maryanne, romeo, lindsay, drea
faves in 43: i did not watch; iāve seen the discourse around this season and i simply Donāt want to feel pain like this so i put it off for now
faves in 44: i did not watch; like purely because of the nonsense going on with carson aksjdjd i might genuinely go back to this one later
faves in 45: kaleb, kellie, jake. why did i only list 3 people? bc genuinely itās a four way tie between dee katurah julie and emily, like this was an amazing season for women. also, the hottest season.
i think it says a lot about me that one of my favorites three seasons in a row was a zero vote finalist aksjdjd personally i think this means one of my faves this season is gonna be one too, iām guessing venus or q
shan making dx hum her betrayal theme song on the challenge usa is so much funnier with context bc she LITERALLY hummed it out loud while thinking about how sheād have to betray one of her besties aksjsj the nerve of that woman is insane i love her
ļæ¼the way i got so excited for deshawn to make a comeback in that lil chicken & veggies alliance only for him to truth kamikaze his way through that tribal is justā¦..i actually had to walk away from my tv my secondhand embarrassment was so bad
i think itās a lot different when you know who is going to win because i went in paying attention to erika and really vibing with her but i get the impression no one was expecting her to win the way that a lot of people thought maryanne would win over everyone else in f5.
that said, i think 41 was my favorite bc i love when people are smart but also canNot keep their mouths shut, these people were so gossipy and got soooo heated with each other, but i didnāt hate anyone, i was rooting for everyone, like i was riveted i had fun.
i literally keep replaying that ādo i believe that? no i do not,ā moment between naseer and heather on loop in my mind it was soooo funny aksjsjs
xander scruffy lookingā¦ā¦.i would fold so fast iām afraid š
that said, i had to walk away during some of his answers for the final tribal because he is just so sweet but he is SO unaware i was HURTING even with evvie and ricard clearing trying to lead him to an answer, it took like four false starts for him to name a good social read and everyone to nod and go āoh yeah that one makes senseā
dreaās comedic timing is unparalleled. i have never laughed that loud at a reality tv contestant, her voice is just so expressive. yes iām talking about the potato line she is funnier than every comedian on netflix to me
that season had me screaming every episode it was really fun to watch and maryanne just like. sparkles. sheās enchanting.
i hope jonathan [redacted for legal reasons]
austin is so sexy to me because he really just laid down and died so his super hot girlfriend could win a million dollars, thatās the perfect man
actually iād like to say it again. hottest cast. austin & dee was just pretty on pretty. jake is adorable. kellie. katurah. emily. kaleb. hottest cast by far.
iāve been listening to know it alls & why blank lost just to get a feel for strategy and iām excited to get through older seasons to see gameplay without so many twists because yeah thereās like a LOT of them esp in 41. itās funny listening to them all bitch about this constantly tho. also interested in eventually watching a season without fire making - the next group iām looking at are david v goliath, heroes v healers v hustlers, millennials v gen x, and gamechangers. might flip around a bit before i land on one tho.

ten: are you good at hiding your feelings?
no ā¤ļø, which is really quite awful for me lmao. i mean. yes and no, but heavy emphasis on no. will you know that something's up? most likely, yes. will i tell you what it is? no, never. so, i guess it depends on how you interpret the question and how well you know me. hope this helps <3
twelve: what is something you want right now?
see, i could say i'm looking at him.. š¤Ø but you stink, so, hmmm. i want a bowl of fried rice, much like the one you denied me however many moons ago. and some red jello for dessert.
eighteen: do you miss how things were a year ago?
no. 2022 was one of the worst years of my life and i'm still dealing with the repercussions of it. the only reason it isn't the worst is because the actual worst is from when i was in middle school, which automatically trumps all.
twenty-two: description of crush.
crush is a soda brand owned by dr pepper. the main flavor is orange, but it also has grape, pineapple, strawberry, and others, too. it's sweet, bubbly, and all that sugar makes it a treat on its own. maybe we could split one? i haven't had a grape soda in ages, but i could be convinced to get another flavor, if you so wish. š
thirty-one: 3 random facts.
ā i was the first in my family to be born in america. ā i'm nearsighted. ā i'm a very slow eater. like, very slow.
thirty-six: 3 dreams you want to fulfill?
when i was younger i was very ambitious. my dreams still feel equally as ambitious to me, but they're... different now. ā i'd like to get married and share a life with my partner. one that's so full of love, it makes up for all the moments leading up to it when there was none. ā i'd like to own a home that feels safe in every room. ā i want to be able to take care of my mom and be there for her the way she was for me. her efforts and sacrifices can't be for naught.
thirty-eight: favourite comedian(s).
the tumblr appropriate ones are brittany broski, cody and noel's that's cringe era (rest in peace š), and thomas middleditch & ben schwartz.
forty-four: age you get mistaken for.
hm... people think i'm early twenties a lot, like 20-23. sometimes younger. i've been told multiple times that i'm confusing, because i give off "baby" vibes, but also.. the white hairs are right there lmao.
forty-eight: turn offs.
touching me without washing your hands first. being mean. people who insist they're fine with whatever role but secretly keep track and hold it over your head or make it seem like a chore.
fifty-six: favourite food(s).
americans popped off with a good ole burger and fries combo. all pasta fucks hard, but i especially enjoy ravioli. flan made with cream cheese is to die for. if you placed an empanada in my hand after i died, it would bring me back to life instantly. enchiladas (with flour tortillas, because i'm a heathen) and burritos are hot. if you make me beef stew or a nice roast, i'll go out the next day to buy you a ring. potatoes in general any which way. soups. yeast rolls. fufu de platano. ajiaco, which is a soup, but it's esp a fave during the winter or when i'm sick :).

update if you're anxiously awaiting the follow-up to my post from last night: i went to the open mic and performed one of my aubrey monologues!! tbh this performance was the best any of my aubrey performances have gone so far (tho to be fair that's a bit of a low bar. i don't mean to be self-deprecatting or discredit the people who have seen my performances so far and liked them, i'm mostly judging from how it feels to be performing which doesn't always line up with outside perceptions etc.)
idk if it's at a level yet where i'd want to post the video bc there were two main spots where i know my pacing could have been better, and also the audience barely laughed (which was fine bc there was barely anyone in the audience and they were spread out throughout the room and people tend to not laugh as frequently when they're by themselves) but that might make the audio seem weird
but as for positives: most of the people at the open mic had their notebooks/papers/phones/etc. with them bc they were trying out new material and had to check it as they went, which is a fine and normal thing to do, but it really made me stand out that i had my monologue completely memorized (which was very cool bc like. yes i've done the uncle reg monologue more than any other but i have revised some pieces so they were new, and i didn't even practice the monologue at all during the day leading up to the open mic! it's just in me!)
i still need to work on my physicality a bit more but wow this stage made such a difference. for one thing it's the first actual deliberate performance venue i've done aubrey at (i had three shitty classroom performances and one at a coffee shop which even tho it technically had a stage in the corner it clearly wasn't the main purpose of the room). and even more important it's a stage i've performed on so many times in a different context (with my improv troupe) that i felt more comfortable walking around and using the full space rather than standing still
interestingly even tho i was definitely an outlier in many ways compared to the other comedians (youngest performer, only performer who's not a cis man, potentially the only queer performer tho i can't be certain of that since i don't know some of the other comedians on that level) i actually really loved that contrast bc it brought more energy to my piece (and i have a high tolerance level for cishet men, especially in comedy. ĀÆ\_(ć)_/ĀÆ i am who i am).
surprisingly i was not the only "extra" comedian (as in, a comedian that requires things other than the bare essentials to perform their set) but that's just bc my favorite improv scene partner was also performing tonight and he did a whole bit that involved a candle, two lighters, and a tarp, which made my character-schtick seem average in comparison lmao
i'll probably do another one when i can (they're the first thursday of every month, i might be in toronto for july's show but i'll probably be around for august)
#i don't have my video of my set yet bc fire-guy's wife filmed it for me on a high quality video camera and idk when she'll send it over#it was a great time especially bc even tho i've been performing with the improv people who were there for over 5 years now#they hadn't seen me do any aubrey stuff yet so it was cool to share that side of my comedy#and i love that the two ''weird'' bits were from me and fire-guy bc he's legit one of my favorite comedians to work with#(even tho he's not a professional comedian like this guy's day job is some super advanced physics thing. he and his wife both have PHDs)#someday i'm gonna make some kind of show or project and cast him in a role lmao#i remember when i was like seventeen he introduced me to someone as ''the funniest person i know''#and that same year he was given an uncomfortable prompt in a solo-improv thing#and he ended up taking it in a surreal direction that made it much funnier and after the show he told me that he came up with it by going#''ok what would jess do if they were given this prompt''#so yeah i'm happy even doing our solo ''standup'' sketches we were able to do our own weird bits together#btw this post is like mostly for me. if you read all this that's cool but if not that is fine i'm just using this to process

First watch of Season 4 of Only Murders In The Building
Rewatch of ONLY Murders In The Building to prepare for season 4:
<Part I> // <Part II> // <Part III> // <Part IIII> // <Part V> // <Part VI> // <Part VII> // <Part VIII>
This is no rewatch but my new posts can also easily be blocked because I'll continue to use #OMITBRewatch as a tag. I'll also tag #OMITBS4. While quoting, I use M, O, C for the main characters.
S4 E1
I'm excited... who killed Sazz?
Those old home movies are adorable. And it shows again, how people are still recognizable even decades later.
... how sad that they didn't even go looking for Sazz?
In the intro... Howard is walking a dog? Not his cat?
What the fuck?! They did not find Sazz... :(
Again, What the fuck??
At least Charles is worried...
Funny that Mabel is now crashing at Olivers place when he crashed at her place before.
O: "Donna and Cliff have pulled their financing! For 'bail' and 'defense attorneys', some stupid shit like that!!"
Not stupid to them!
Oliver is so dramatic.
C: "Hey, I'm sorry about all this but it could be worse. All morning, I have been hearing this whistling sound. I might have a brain tumor" O: "Look, don't try to cheer me up."
Howard got a puppy! Why did he come to Charles apartment?
Awww Gravy is cute. A goldie!
Okay... did Gravy used to work as a cadaver dog?
Lmao...
Oh my god! The corpse is not there anymore but Gravy did smell the blood Mabel smelled.
That really is a bit of a bizarre scene of New York... and if it is a Godzilla movie why is it important that the one grandpa needs help with his microwave? ... is it a parody movie?
Bev Melon...
Bev is a freak.
The Brothers... yeah I can see how that is confusing.
Trina and Tawny Brothers
They don't look Identical. And... they are kind of weird.
Bev: "Oliver who we want to strangle and cuddle at the same time. And Charles, everyone's un-fun uncle with his grouchy, little turtle face. And Mabel, with your traumatized, homeless, jobless, mumbling millennial charm stuck between these two old dudes."
I think that would be the point when I jam on the breaks. Jeebus fuck, Bev.
Bev: "Oh, we don't need to do numbers. You can just have your lawyers call business affairs."
Fucking hell, Bev.
... they don't have lawyers... I assume. Mabel certainly has none.
What the fuck?
"Howdy!"
Sidney...
C: "Well, let's get into this gas guzzler"
When they are in the limo and stand up, I can't help but remember the Bob's Burgers episode in which they are told they can't do it because so many people lost their heads because of the movie "Big" with "Thomas Hanks". Nat (the limo driver) is great.
OH! Okay... the stop Oliver wanted to do was to get burgers. Of course he needs food.
What is up with all those Western motifs? What is up with that?
C: "I'm Eugene Levy?" M: "I'm Eva Longoria." Eva: "Yeah." O: "I'm... I wanna say Tim." "I am Jack Black." (???????????) O: "Ah, that's it. Yeah." "I'm not Jack Black." Bev: "Oliver, that is Zach Galifi--" O: "Oh, yes! Zach Galifragilistic, of course." Zach: "Ha! I see what you're doing. People do this. You're trying to 'Beween two Ferns' me."
... Oliver really does not know him... well neither do I... who is this? I think I've seen him before but uhm... also let me check something.
"Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis is an American talk show hosted by comedian Zach Galifianakis which features celebrity guests." ... I have never heard of this. Okay, I checked and I might recognize his voice as Felix Fishoeder from Bob's Burgers. And... that is probably it. I haven't even watched the Hangover movies and without the beard I did not recognize him at all.
... the age gap was creepy? Really?
The people who thought it's creepy need to check their reality.
Holy shit. Zach and Oliver do not get along. Like Zach is burning Oliver... holy shit.
Also it's amazing that Eugene is a fan of Charles. That is a fun twist.
They are equally awkward too.
Loretta!
That is actually a good advice, Eva.
Cowboys and whistling wind are motifs in this episode... maybe the season.
... omg Loretta and Oliver are so cute... and it looked like he almost asked her to marry him or something? Awww...
SCOTT BAKULA!
Okay, now I see why Sazz was also doing stunts for him. I always remember him younger.
They are breaking in.
Sirens blaring in LA is not worrysome at all.
Lester is great...
Howard: "No, it's Grave-y. Shewas a CADAVER DOG!" Called it!
And everything comes together.
So, where is the body?
The trash chute... of course.
Right in the incinerator...
Oh Sazz :(
... so how did they get on the other building to shoot Sazz and then got into the Arconia to get rid of the body?

Indecent with Kiki Andersen: Where NFW Meets LMAO
Ā Have you started watching or listening to either a podcast, TV show, or musical artist and after that initial encounter, the show or performer instantly shoots to the top of your favorites list?Ā
That's only happened to me a few times. The latest occurrence is when I watched the first episode of The Last of Us on HBO. The show immediately shot to my top five and will stay there until season two begins, and I reassess.
I had the same reaction when I first listened to the Indecent podcast with Kiki Andersen. At the beginning of every episode, Andersen begins with, "This is Indecent, where we're peeling at the wallpaper of polite society, and where NSFW meets LMAO."
It's an excellent description of the show in summary form. Check out the show's artwork here. It is an uncannily accurate portrayal of the topics, tone, and sharp-minded core of the show. It's intelligence wrapped in humor engulfed by precociousness.
Here is the marketing scoop on the show:Ā "Comedian Kiki Andersen finds the funny in the most uncomfortable corners of our culture. Sex. Politics. Religion. But in the digital age, what can and canāt be talked about at the dinner table has changed dramatically. Indecent is a podcast all about whatās off-limits and who sets the boundaries for todayās taboos."
Ā The podcast began in May 2023 and has already produced numerous noteworthy episodes. The July 19 episode with Viva Ruiz, who uses her artwork to fight for reproductive rights, was one of my favorites, especially the use of art to legitimize abortion as a vital part of healthcare. In the search for conservative comedy on August 9th episode, Andersen offers a simple but brutally effective point about comedy: "Jokes are only funny when they have a semblance of truth to them. If they're completely false, there's no joke there."
Throughout her episodes, Andersen does intellectual battle with anti-woke comedians who claim that their careers are jeopardized by cancel culture, and "wokeness." Andersen does not inflexibly battle wokeness and cancel culture. Instead, she questions their core and their meaning. To her credit, Andersen recognizes an essential truth. You can't be against something if you have no idea what it actually is.
As a comedian, Andersen elevates over other comedians on podcasts because she doesn't try too hard to be funny. Unlike other podcast comedians whose diatribes sound more like a bad "Best Man Toast" at a wedding, Andersen allows her sharp humor to flow freely from the conversation. She's funny, sharp-witted, caustic at times, perceptive, and observant. Shepard and Rogan could learn quite a bit from Kiki Andersen.
I loved her October 13th episode about the Satan hysteria in the 80s and 90s. I had forgotten about this 30-year-old conspiracy theory from the religious Right on how Devil worship was corrupting the youth. According to these religious zealots, Pentagrams and Satanic rituals were more popular than Beanie Babies. Her guest, Chelsey Weber-Smith, used the recent tale of moral panic over the alleged spread of devil worship as a morality lesson for today, as we witness so many call out LGBTQ+ people, immigrants, and minorities as convenient scapegoats for the complex problems in our world.
Ā Andersen's road to this podcast is a definitely one less-traveled. Before she was a comic, Kiki Andersen was an Emmy award-winning news reporter under her real name, Kelly Andersen, but after enough people confused her for Kellyanne Conway on Twitter (yes, really) she decided to change her name, her career and do something way less depressing. "Now she uses everything she learned about how the world works to make people laugh."
Kiki Andersen lives in Los Angeles, where she does standup and sketch comedy seven nights a week. Since moving west, she has rapidly moved up the comedy ladder, performing regularly at the Laugh Factory and other clubs on the West Coast.Ā
Andersen was recently the featured act in a string of sold out shows for Nate Jackson. As a former member of the Supernova comedy productions team, Kiki Andersen has shared the stage with comedyās biggest stars including Bill Burr, Whitney Cummings, Jim Jefferies, Nick Kroll, and others.
Ā Check out Indecent. It's comedy with a brain, insight with intellect, and perception without prejudice. Have a belief you cherish? Well, hold on tight because Andersen can shake up people without shaking them down.

i will always be here 4 you. you worked so hard today. remember you are enough!

oh my goodness! a decade does sound like a long time! how was your journey as a fan, what is one of the biggest things you have learned?
i have noticed your tag games, keep them coming, i noticed that you role play online! Tell me more, i have never done it before
- šø
lissie: cams!! (i guess this is my nickname from me to you just because i like the sound of it better) thank you so much and i'll echo it to you too
ooh this might get sentimental but i really learned about loyalty and relationship. i'm not one to call myself a loyal fan of a group because my interests change but i've been loyal to kpop as an art form and a medium for years now and just being a kpop fan is a loyal fan for me.
the relationship aspect definitely comes with the connection of idol and fan i gain. i've experienced almost all of the spectrum (besides being a sasaeng because i have the consciousness to know that that just crosses too many boundaries). but i also understand that my relationship with kpop idols can be purely business, me as a consumer and they as the product that their labels are creating in a certain way; and how i give my disposable income to make those labels richer by indulging in whatever content the idols gave.
i also have more empathy towards the people behind the idols. being an artist is hard but being that and a public figure is harder. i can't empathize much because i'm not on the same level as them when it comes to fame and influence but even a taste of their world that i felt before just seize my body up lol
but i also now realize that idols might have a hidden agenda for being who they are and picking kpop idols as a career. not all kpop idols are artists and they are using their careers to reach new heights (actors, producers, comedians, entrepreneurs, etc). many of the 4th gen idols came from privileged backgrounds (rich family, good education, etc) that shadows people that are there for pure art and music (a reason why i've been following more indie artists now). i also think that many idols are narcissistic, naturally or being shaped in an industry as vile as the kpop industry.
i said all of that above ^^ because multiple truths can happen, which means the good and bad truths, and how both of them could co-exist at the same moment. nothing is purely black and white in the world imo
OOF THIS ONE *eyes* i'm glad that i rp with my middle school friends and the wider internet doesn't know about it unless the messenger we use has a data breach or something that spills the beans out. it's just what you expected to be and it's similar to the whole fanfic ecosystem made from: you pretend to be someone else or insert yourself in a world where you are friends or partner up with your favorite kpop idols. for me, i was in a relationship with bts' jimin lmao i put so much effort into that but i stopped because the line between fiction and reality can get too blurred reminded me of the enha jay situation about the au and the reverse live ffs but i'm still doing rp with dnd and cyberpunk: red ;)

This is actually such a great idea! Iām reblogging with a few suggestions from Brazilian cinema just in case anyone else might want to see this lmao. Unfortunately Iām never the best when it comes to suggesting media because I hardly keep up with movies/tv shows/whatever as I am a lazy bitch with no mental space for anything.
Anyway here go some indications from the top of my head. Iām putting their names in Portuguese because fuck English but Iām also linking their respective English-Wikipedia pages in case anyone wants to look up details.
Hoje Eu Quero Voltar Sozinho: One of my personal favorites. SUper sweet LGBT+ movie and (I donāt want to spoil the ending but) one of the few I know from the genre that doesnāt have a sad ending. Always worth a shot.
O Auto da Compadecida: A classic, very popular and funny movie that almost everybody around here loves lmao.
Central do Brasil: Another classic, widely known as the film that got Fernanda Montenegro an Oscar nomination for Best Actress (which she infamously lost fo effing Gwyneth Paltrow).
Que Horas Ela Volta?: Also very popular and already considered a classic, deals with social inequality and the relation between high-income families and their houseworkers.
Carandiru: Also widely known and a classic, it recounts the Carandiru massacre of 1992 and the lives of some of the prisoners. I remember watching it in school and I got so shocked I think my life changed a bit.
Cidade de Deus: This is likely the best known Brazilian movie out there lol but tbh I donāt remember much about it bc I was a little kid when I wateched it. But I remember it caused me a big impression so
Minha MĆ£e Ć© Uma PeƧa: One of the most famous comedy movies produced here; it starts Paulo Gustavo, considered one of the best Brazilian comedians from the last decade (and who sadly passed during to the COVID pandemic :( )
There are countless others worth mentioning; Brazilian cinema is very prolific and we have many movies that are considered classics and/or are widely acclaimed internationally... But as I mentioned I hardly watch shit lol so I donāt feel much comfortable indicating movies I didnāt watch. But to name a few of them: Bacurau; Deus e o Diabo na Terra do Sol; and Terra em Transe.
Ok Iāll stop here. There are many, many more I could mention, but you can also find them in any ābest Brazilian filmsā list around the internet so
This post inspired me to ask the following question: @ people who are not usamerican, if you could recommend any local movie/show/media made and produced by your own countries (which, in your opinion, are actually freaking good), what would you recommend? it doesn't matter if it's from before the 2000's or after or if it's not easily found online or if it doesn't have subs or whatever, there are always ways anyway and if there aren't it's still worth to try!
this is mostly targeted to non usamericans but if they'd like to make additions that fit with the subject then go ahead!
#i think i got a bit carried on i guess lol#the seven i commented on are the ones i actually really watched and can truly recommend but i thought it was necessary to name a few others#i've been meaning to watch the ones by glauber rocha since forever but i am L A Z Y#maybe this is the incentive i need to finally do so?#movies
