A story I’ve been working on for the last two months. Taking my time with it. A snippet underneath.
He finally spoke, hoarse and broken. If her heart could beat, it would stop awash in his sadness. “Flayn, she’s…she’s all I have left.” He took in a breath, breaking his hand free from his face to look up at her. Byleth watched as wet drops flooded his cheeks. “She’s the only reason I came here to the monastery, Professor. If she’s dea—gone, there’s nothing…nothing.”
He sucked in a breath and shook his head. Byleth moved closer to him, feeling brave enough to wipe a tear away. He seemed to be shaken back to the present at the quick gesture, gasping once more. “Everything I’ve overcome, my sister has overcome. All these trials and tribulations, they will have been for nothing.”
Byleth reached forward to wipe one last tear away. “I’ll bring her back.” Seteth’s eyes closed, lips trembled, as if he couldn’t believe it. With a gentleness she didn’t think she possessed, she placed her palms against his cheeks, leaning in close. Seteth didn’t breathe, eyes solely on her. “I will bring her home.”

This week’s writer spotlight feature is: @wynnyfryd! Wynnyfryd has 34 fics in the Stranger Things fandom and all of them are in the Steddie tag!
i don’t know, you figure it out
Plot Holes
biting you biting you biting you- oh! kissing you!
Satanic Ritual: DO NOT WATCH!!
She's got some of the FUNNIEST writing in this fandom, and it's very snappy too like. She's an editing demon for sure, she can take a concept that I'd think would take paragraphs to explain and find the right words to make it hit just as hard with like, two sentences. I also really really love how descriptive her metaphors are, really visceral sometimes, and she's really good at writing realistic life events but still making them fun to read about even when it's about like, devastating shit. The sex she writes is also intense as hell! -- @griefabyss69
Below the cut, @wynnyfryd answered some questions about their writing process and some of their recommended work!
Why do you write Steddie?
I am but a humble bisexual — I see two beautiful brown-eyed men makin’ beautiful brown eyes at each other, I go a little insane for two years. It is what it is.
What’s your favorite trope to READ?
late-night moments of quiet hopeful hesitant intimacy over a shared joint or cigarette. Thin wisp of smoke between them, stars dancing in their eyes. Yeah. YEAHHHHHHH
What’s your favorite trope to WRITE?
This isn’t really a trope so much as a dynamic, but I love a good dipshit 4 dingus dialogue-heavy scene. Don’t get me wrong, I think Eddie and Steve can both be very smart and knowledgeable in their areas of interest/expertise, but these are two young dudes with no access to the internet. I love letting them be confidently incorrect dumbasses. Just ‘yes and’-ing each other’s stupidity while an exasperated third character begs for mercy.
What’s your favorite Steddie fic?
Well, this question is impossible and furthermore rude. This question came into my home and didn’t take its muddy boots off. This question never mailed me a thank you letter for my lovely wedding gift. That blender was expensive; the absolute nerve. No but seriously, I think The Lathe by palmviolet is going to stay with me forever.
Is there a trope you’re excited to explore in a future work but haven’t yet?
I’m a big fan of doing canon divergence from different jumping off points — the beauty of having characters live in the same small town their whole lives is that you get so many great opportunities for these “what if our paths crossed sooner” moments. I have some very loose notes for a S3 fic where Eddie is the movie theater employee who finds Steve and Robin in the bathroom after they escape the Russians, and I also have an old WIP set between S1 and S2 where lifeguard Steve rescues Eddie and then spends the summer teaching him how to swim. Would love to revisit those after I finish the trailer park AU (which I will be referring to as TPAU because my fingers are tired and because ‘toilet paper au’ makes me laugh.)
What is your writing process like?
Uhhhhh. 😂 I mean, for TPAU, basically just insert the scene from Dune 2 of Paul’s first sandworm ride: I’m shaking I’m sweating there is sand in my nostrils and I am surely about to die— oh wait, maybe I’ve actually got this? Am I actually doing it? Oh shit, look at me go! For one-shots I like to use a more structured outline and bracket method. I start by dividing my doc into numbered scenes, with each scene getting a notes section and a prose section, like this:
This format gives me a lot of freedom to switch up the order of scenes and to move between scenes so I avoid writer’s block. I can also jump ahead to scenes I really want to write without making a mess of my outline. Once I have something written in the prose section of each scene, I go back and work on replacing each bracket with prose until there are no brackets left. Lastly, I create a new blank doc and copy the prose over in order so I can read the full fic and work on edits from there.
Do you have any writing quirks?
I have been known to abuse a semicolon. And an em dash. And a conjunction at the start of a sentence. Yes, I do have ADHD. I’m also a lyricist, so I feel like my prose tends to stray into poetry territory pretty often.
Do you prefer posting when you’ve finished writing or on a schedule?
When I’m finished! Which is probably why I tend to stick to one-shots; I get impatient and want to post stuff the second it’s ready.
Which fic are you most proud of?
‘i don’t know, you figure it out’ for SURE. I’ve never written a fic this long or stuck to a writing project this consistently in my life. Like ever. The last time I even came close was my first NaNoWriMo when I was 16, which was, uh… years ago, plural, and I’ll leave it at that. 😂
How did you get the idea for i don’t know, you figure it out?
“There’s a dead rat on his doorstep.” That’s it. That first sentence/scene popped into my head while I was bored at work, and then I started thinking, “hey, you know what? I don’t know that anyone’s ever done a fic where Max and Steve trade places for S4; that might be fun.” And then NaNoWriMo was coming up, so I thought it would be cool to try live posting a fully improvised fic every day for a month to see how many words I could write. And then this tragic wet cat version of Steve Harrington grabbed me by the throat and took over my whole life.
When writing Satanic Ritual: DO NOT WATCH!!, what was something you didn’t expect?
How SAPPY these two got!! My god, boys, I’m trying to write smut over here, stop having a beautiful existential crisis! (I blame Briston Maroney for that though lol, I think I listened to ‘Body’ like 1400 times that month.)
What inspired Satanic Ritual: DO NOT WATCH!!?
@inklessletter posted this totally gorgeous art of Steve and Eddie recording themselves kissing, and I promptly lost my mind.
What was your favorite part to write from biting you biting you biting you- oh! kissing you!?
This exchange: Steve: “What? I’m just asking!” Robin: “You’re being embarrassing!” Steve: “No, you’re just embarrassed. There’s a difference.” Like it’s just so them lmao
How do/did you feel writing i don’t know, you figure it out?
You know when you set out on a long hike in the summer and three hours later your calves are screaming and you’re covered in sweat and your sunburn’s starting to itch and this one horse fly won’t fuck off and your cell phone doesn’t even get service out here so literally WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO YOURSELF, and then you climb that last hill and look out on the most beautiful landscape you’ve ever seen in your silly little life? Basically that.
What was the most difficult part of writing Plot Holes?
Ooh, that one was fun! The only real difficulty was trying to keep it to a microfic because the concept could definitely be fleshed out to a full story — @griefabyss69 and I were joking around about “what if someone did ‘plot hole’ for the @steddiemicrofic prompt fill?” and then that fic just fell out of my head in about 15 minutes.
Do you have a favorite scene and/or line from any of your fics?
For sure! I’m currently super proud of the graveyard scene in the most recent update of TPAU — I don’t write true horror often, but I love horror so it was really fun to give it a try! Favorite line from any fic is probably this reference to ‘You’re Divine’ in my fic Monsoon Season because I love uncomfortably-aroused prude Eddie, and his internal monologue cracks me up every time I think about it: Freddie Monsoon’s debut novel is called The Fourth Chime, and it is, as far as Eddie can tell, the first installment in a series of unapologetically filthy fuck fests about a man whose lover gets flung into an alternate dimension during an apocalyptic event and miraculously returns as some sort of… sexy bat-boy with a fucking horse dong and a bite kink. Critics are calling it “the most romantic novel of the last decade.” It’s me; I’m Critics.
Do you have any upcoming projects or fics you’d like to share/promote?
My main project right now is finishing TPAU if it kills me, but beyond that, I have a few one-shots for @subeddieweek in the works, including a collab with @griefabyss69 that I’m so so SO excited to share. It’s hot, it’s funny, I can’t wait for y’all to read it.
Outside of these questions, Is there anything YOU would like to add?
First of all, as @wormdebut would say: I think you’re pretty. Thank you so much for all your hard work! I love this blog, and I love answering questions <3 Secondly: - Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. - Toss cubed sweet potatoes and parsnips, sliced sweet onion, and fresh garlic in a mix of olive oil, salt, pepper, and rosemary, and then spread in a single layer on a foil-lined baking sheet. - Bake for ~40-45 minutes. (Potatoes and parsnips should be soft without being mushy when you poke them with a fork.) - Prep your sauce: I made a dijon drizzle situation by mixing olive oil mayo, a dash of dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and a splash of water, but you could also add a little dab of hot sauce, bbq sauce, or different mustards. Basically just grab like four condiments out of your fridge and play around with the flavors you like until you make a mix that’s thin enough to pour. - Drizzle roasted veggies with sauce. - Enjoy a very tasty side dish (or do what I did and eat the whole sheet as a meal like some sort of parsnip goblin because you were too lazy to make the main dish after chopping all those veggies) okay thank you love you byeeeee
Thank you to our author, @wynnyfryd, and our nominator, @griefabyss69! See more of Wynnyfryd's works featured on our page throughout the day!

New AO3 Script / Screenplay Tutorial
Some time back I posted a tutorial for how to format CSS and HTML for a screenplay on AO3, but since then I have improved upon it and I wish to now share with you all the (hopefully somewhat better) new version.
I previously had a significant problem with the spacing of certain elements, which would end up breaking the formatting. So recently I spent two days studying and trying code after code until I got it right.
Note that though this formatting makes the screenplay look authentic enough on a computer monitor or on mobile in landscape mode, it does not (in my experience) tend to show up well in portrait mode. This version is at least readable in portrait mode, however, whereas the old version was not. Still, you might like to make an author’s note mentioning that readers in portrait mode may need to use the “hide creator’s style” button, which will take away the formatting:
Okay, let's get to work! First you are going to have to create a new AO3 work skin. Name it whatever you like, then insert this code:
#workskin p { font-family: "Courier Prime", Courier, monospace; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-word; }
#workskin p { margin-left: 5%; }
#workskin p { margin-right: 15%; }
#workskin .indented { padding-left: 15%; padding-right: 25%; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-word; }
#workskin .par { display: block; padding-left: 15%; padding-right: 25%; }
#workskin .character { display: block; padding-left: 25%; }
You can adjust things like the margin and padding percentages to fit your own style, of course!
Now comes the fun part. After you have written your script, make a new draft using your screenplay skin. Then get onto the HTML editor.
The SHOT, SCENE HEADING, and ACTION elements will be left alone. The only tagging necessary for them is < p > (close up the < and >, of course... Tumblr is giving me a hard time about showing it as it really should be) for paragraph transitions. But do be sure to use the < p > tag, or it will break the formatting.
Next are the CHARACTER, PARENTHETICAL, and DIALOGUE elements... which are a bit more involved.
Before blocks of character/parenthetical/dialogue, you need to put the following tag (with closed up < & >): < div class="indented" align="left" > . Note that if there is more than one Character involved with no action breaks in between (in other words, if there is a conversation going on), you do not need to put the tag between each character, just before the first one. Like so:
And be sure to close it back up after the blocks of conversation with < /div >
Next up is CHARACTER, which, as you can see above, is tagged: < p >< span class="character" > CHARACTER NAME< /span >
Notice that there are no line breaks between the < /span > and the dialogue. Due to the nature of < span > if you try to put a line break in there it will turn it into a paragraph break, which doesn't work well for the screenwriting thing. I am sure there is a workaround, but that's what I got for the time being!
Now we come to PARENTHETICALS, which are the bits of action within dialogue:
To tag those, once again do not make a line break, but simply insert this: < span class="par" > then close it after inserting the parenthetical with < /span >
It might be easier to simply visualize, but note that as a personal preference I tend to italicize my parenthetical elements with < em >... you don't have to, that's just my style:
And that is basically it! If you would rather just look at the code than to try and figure out what I was trying to explain (I am not sure I did a good job of that!), here is a basic visual:
This:
Should get you this:
Or something similar, anyway. It may vary on your screen. If you would like to see a live example of how it will look on your monitor or with your device, you can click below to get to a small fic I have formatted this way (it isn't the story sampled above, however, since that is a WIP I have not posted anywhere yet!)
If I have made any mistakes or anything is in need of clarification, let me know! I will do my best to fix it!

*Slowly walks up to you, cradling this*
*Gently sets it down in fromt of you*
*SPRIN TS THE FUCK AEWAY IN PANIC*
Okay anyways hi I’m back after like, months lol, sorry about that (but I’m not actually back because I’m busy trying not to die because of school-work and trying to work on some MAP parts. I literally said five days ago on my yt channel “Hi I’m back now!! :-D” and school just said “no <3″ which, um, rude. So yeah I might come on and occasionally come post something but I’m really not gonna be coming on here to be active
OKAY OKAY but I need to explain these sketches because they will be suuuper confusing without context, I am very aware, yes, so there’s an explanation (+ some extra art and a non-shaded version of the stuff above) under the cut :-)
BASICALLY, @lulzyrobot made this AU of Pokémon Sword and Shield and now I have brain rot because of it. Also this AU will indeed be confusing to those who have no knowledge about sword and shield so here’s a skippable paragraph about the game:
(OBVIOUSLY SPOILERS BELOW)
Basically, SwSh is just a Pokémon game (no surprise there) and its gimmick or whatever is Dynamax, which turns Pokémon like. Really fucking large. (Some of them can also Gigantamax which changes their appearance as well as size, but we don’t care about that here bc it really isn’t relevant). In all gyms (except one, Spikemouth) there are power spots, which are needed for a Pokémon to Dynamax. If they’re not close to a power spot, they can’t do it. There are also power spots in the Wild Area (which is, you guessed it, an area in the game). At one point in the game, the villain -- Chairman Rose -- starts up something called “the Darkest Day”, which happened before in the Galarian region (which is where everything takes place), in hopes of getting infinite energy for them or something like that (really makes no sense but like ok pop off ig). To do this, he basically uses these things called Wishing Stars -- which are what allows Pokémon to Dynamax -- to summon a Pokémon called Eternatus. In-game, you basically just summon two other legendaries (Zacian and Zamazenta -- they’re on the cover of the games) and fight Eternatus and then catch the fucker. That’s all context you need for this AU so let’s move on to that now:
The AU is basically that Eternatus sends out a powerful blast which fuses trainers with Pokémon, to varying degrees. The closer to a power spot you are, the more likely you are to get it bad. If you’re far enough from one you won’t be affected at all. A person can merge with multiple Pokémon, but the more of them, the harder it is to not go wild. If you merge with a wild Pokémon, you’ll become a Wild Trainer (and those basically act like, well, wild Pokémon).
If you want more info (which you do want, trust me on this), here’s a post made by the creator themself!! https://lulzyrobot.tumblr.com/post/610890677032747008/pokemon-dynamorph-au-masterpost
OKAY ANYWAY, back onto this specific sketch (wow I really went on a rampage there lol)
I decided to Dynamorph my trainersona(??????) (btw, both the Dynamorph version AND the “human” version are WIPs, I’m not completely happy with either of them) and this was the resuulltttt
- Their name is Robin (because I’m a bastard that does self-insert ships with no shame)
- They merged with their Arcanine (and I’m considering also adding a wild Lycanroc, both so I can give them Epic Claws™ and so that their whole extremely volatile nature makes any sense)
- They have some REAL trouble keeping themself in check. Like. They’re constantly on the edge between becoming a Wild Trainer and being “normal”
- Because I am, like I said, a bastard who does self-ships without any shame they are together with Piers. yes I am a simp for him.
- Robin has their select group of friends (made up of all gym leaders minus Opal because they have no idea what the fuck is up with her, as well as Marnie, Hop and Leon. No they don’t give a shit about Bede) which they are super protective of. They have to be reminded that they can all handle themselves, because they might otherwise become a bit possessive.
- While they are a raging storm you do NOT want to get involved with in any way to anybody outside their friend group, they are really nice to be around when they really care about you. They may be pretty stubborn, but they always do what they think is best for their loved ones. On multiple occasions, they’ve gone out to collect any sorts of gifts they can find that they think their friends will enjoy. They are super gentle and kind with Hop and Marnie (which, by the way, they’d literally die for either of them) and they’re overall a good friend/partner. Their main flaw here is their temperament and somewhat possessive nature.
- If anybody did something to even moderately hurt any of their friends... hoo boy, you do NOT want to do that. They’ve nearly killed people for leaving so much as a scratch on their loved ones, and have to be physically dragged away so they won’t really kill somebody.
- However. Despite really, truly believing they'd never, under ANY circumstances, hurt ANY of their friends... they’re wrong about that. The only ones they could truly never purposely cause harm to would be Piers, Marnie and Hop. Yes, it would take A LOT for them to hurt any of the others (like, they’d only hurt the others if they tried to, idk, kill them or something. Or if they tried or actually did kill somebody else in their close circle) but it could hypothetically happen.
- If they ever were to see Rose, he’d probably be torn to shreds on sight. Literally nothing would be able to stop them.
- While it’s near impossible for anybody they don’t care about to calm them down, it’s pretty easy for especially Hop, Marnie, Piers, Raihan, Leon and Milo (and the others, but less so for them lol).
- They were right by a power spot, like they were about to step into a den, when the blast happened so they were. Really fucking affected by it. They stayed in the Wild Area for a while after that, searching for their Arcanine who had “mysteriously vanished”, before they transformed. They were basically a Wild Trainer for at least a month before Piers found them and managed to get them to remember who they actually were over the course of two days. It was,, really concerning when they’d at first been texting him pretty much non-stop to update him on what was going on with them just to then go radio silent for a few days, especially since people had begun transforming at that point. Haha angst go brrr
- You must ignore how their clothes still kind of fit despite them growing to be both more ~muscular~ and tall and how it’s not dirty for the sake of my convenience ok
Ok I think that’s all? woah that was a long post lmao
Anyways, here’s the promised extra art (first one is the same sketch without any shading and that stuff (buT I MISSED ONE, I DIDN’T REMOVE THE SHADING FROM ONE I AM SORRY LOL), second is Robin as just a regular trainer)
Oh also some context for some of the sketches:
Bottom one where they’re screaming “yOU mOthErFuCKeR” is what their reaction would be to one of their loved ones being killed
The one with Milo is Robin just. Being near him. After probably having some sort of panic or anxiety attack because they’re worried about everyone. Because Milo is a really calming person to be around.
Top one in the middle is Robin just patting the red eye-lens-things Raihan got from his Flygon because they find it to be Very Entertaining to just pat them for no reason at all.
The ones where they’re hugging Marnie would take place right after they come back to Spikemouth after their month(s) as a Wild Trainer. They still weren’t used to being around people (and much less BEHAVING like a PERSON) so they were pretty awkward about Marnie hugging them.
The one where they’re surrounded by darkness to the right and kneeling forward is them in the middle of their “transformation” after the blast happened.
Fiery ones at the top right are just Robin being pissed as fuck lol
(Still haven’t decided if this will be the “official” team of Pokemon I have, but it’s cool for now. Also yes, I added an extra Pokemon to my “team” who isn't actually a battle-Pokémon or whatever. I NEED APPLETUNS EMOTIONAL SUPPORT OKAY)

How to Use Section Headers + Document Outline in Google Docs
A lot of people probably don’t realize that GDocs comes with a really simple and easy to use way of jumping between section headers. Or, if you’re me, jumping between 20 WiPs in 1 single document, some of which have “subsections” of universe notes and such.
Here’s an example of what the Document Outline can look like when you have multiple section headings and subsections:
(Image description: various title headings (the working titles of some of my fics), each with at least one subheading indented underneath the title header)
As you can see, I have different fic universes as “Heading 1″, while the subheadings are “Heading 2″. I specify those numbers, because that’s literally what the format is called - Heading 1, 2, etc.
This post is intended to teach you how to use Headings, Subheadings, and the Document Outline on mobile and on PC to navigate your fic docs more easily (or, you know, for anything else relevant. I learned this tip from work in 2016, so...)
(Guide under a cut to spare your dash)
Step 1: Format Your Header Title
For PC:
Before you type or after you’ve highlighted the typed text, go to the toolbar and look for “Styles”.
Select the header style you would like. The Document Outline will show these in a hierarchy - so 1 will be the biggest and furthest to the left while 2 will be a little smaller and inset, etc.
The keyboard shortcut for these is ctrl+alt+#, i.e. ctrl+alt+1 would turn my cursor or highlighted text into Heading 1.
(Picture examples below)
(Image description: The Google Docs primary toolbar with the file functions and the text and page editing options. Around the styles dropdown box, a red box highlights the text “Heading 2″)
For Mobile:
Highlight the text you want to convert to a header (typically done by double tapping or holding down with your finger) or place your cursor where you want your format to apply
Look for the toolbar at the top of the screen. This toolbar contains, in order from left to right, the buttons for: finished editing, undo, redo, insert, format, and the ... for additional settings.
Click on format and a toolbar will pop up at the bottom of your screen.
Under Style, choose the heading you wish to use.
(Picture examples below)
(Image description: a cropped screenshot of a phone screen with the toolbar in Google Docs that includes the buttons for undo, redo, insert, format, and the ... for additional settings. The format button is highlighted with a red box.)
(Image description: The toolbar that pops up on mobile Google docs when you click the Format button. The toolbar is split into editing options for Text or Paragraph, and Text is currently selected. Below the options to modify your text (bold, italics, underline, strikethrough, superscript, and subscript), are selection boxes for style, font, size, and (cut off in picture) text color, highlight color, and the button to clear formatting.)
Step 2: Open Your Document Outline
For PC:
Click View on the toolbar at the top of your document.
Select “show document outline”
The outline will appear on the lefthand side of your screen.
(picture examples below)
(Image description: the dropdown toolbar for View in Google docs is shown, with the cursor hovering over “Show document outline”)
(Image description: same image as the first one - a cropped screenshot of the righthand side of a google doc. The outline shows several title headers with various subheaders that are indented and smaller under the title headers.)
For Mobile:
Press the ... for additional settings in the upper righthand corner of the toolbar at the top of your screen.
You will get a popup over the right side of your screen with various options about your document, but the one that you want is your Document Outline.
Once you click on the Document Outline, the Outline itself will appear at the bottom of your screen, with each Heading and Subheading listed
(Picture examples below)
(Image description: the additional settings toolbar in Google Docs, which appears as a popup over the right side of the screen and includes the options for print layout, suggest changes, document outline, find and replace, explore, word cound, page setup, details, share & export, and help & feedback. Not pictured: the two buttons to turn on/off Available Offline and Star file)
(Image description: the popup on the bottom of the screen in google docs when the Document outline is visible. The outline shows several title headings, one of which has a subheading that is smaller and indented below its parent heading)
When my coworker taught me this trick in 2016 or so, it literally changed my life. Like, my longest WiP doc is 262 pages (it starts getting glitch on the GDocs app at about the 150 point. Lots of lag) and I have 25 title headings, each a different fic/universe. Some of them have been posted.
Speaking of, you might’ve noticed that I add notes to my headings, such as “posted” or “WiP” or “ready” when I just need to read it over before posting. I actually recommend putting the note at the front of the header, because it’s much easier to see, since both mobile and pc cut off the title after a certain length. But if you have a terrible memory like me and a way too many WiPs, it is VERY helpful to keep track of what’s been posted and what hasn’t.
Was this helpful? Consider donating to my kofi if so! (Also this was my first time doing image descriptions, so lemme know if you have any feedback or tips!)

♔ MY NAVIGATION ♔
0.5 TYPES OF REQUESTS I WRITE:
One-shots (1k words or more)
Drabbles (below 1k words)
Headcanons (bullet point fics)
Blurbs (below 500 words)
Imagines (gif + a little blurb, around 500 words)
1.0 RULES:
Request via ask.
Always include what type of request you want me to write.
Specify because specification is very important as it helps me make your request as pleasing as possible, but try not to be too specific as I like the element of surprise.
If you want me to write something from my prompt list (click here): include the name of said character, category of the prompt and the prompt’s respective number (e.g. Jay Halstead, fluff 7).
1.1 Note: If you don't include what type of request it is that you want me to cook up, I will choose the type myself so don't come at me if you wanted a 2K worded piece of work and instead got an imagine with 200 words!
1.2 Note: Mixing the prompt with a plot line of your own is allowed, just make sure to follow the rules (1-3).
1.5 THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND:
Unless asked for, I will be writing with the Female!reader in mind (I like to exclude any gender relation and make it so that both genders could read and enjoy).
I respond to asks when the request has been qued to post and released on Ao3.
The maximum number of request you can send is 2. I know there is an option to send them in anonymously, but I really hope you will stick to this rule. Give others a chance to submit their wishes, and don’t make the line too big with by mass requesting (I close requests after I get around 30 requests).
Requests sent during seasons I have not watched or for characters that have yet to make an appearance in the show will not be written (exceptions exist).
I write one-shots but not a whole series unless I can see/want a continuation.
Themed requests (Christmas, Valentine's Day, New Year etc.) can be only sent during that time. I don’t accept Christmas requests during the month of May. The same goes for the rest.
I have every right to delete every request that does not fit within the rules stated above, or I feel uncomfortable writing. Also, it’s important to note that I don’t have inspiration to write every request that’s sent. It’s normal to not have inspiration, and because I prefer quality to quantity, if I see that I don’t have inspiration for a request then I will not write it.
Requests will be deleted if sent while my request box is closed. I won’t answer them as I feel like there is no need. On almost every informative post (+my bio, and if you’re on PC my theme under ‘blog status’) it will say whether the request box is closed or not.
English is not my first language but without digging myself my own grave this early on I want to say that I'm proud of how much I know, given that I never speak English unless in school.
Be nice because only constructive criticism is allowed. If you spot a grammatical error or a paragraph/sentence/word etc. that doesn't make sense, let me know. But be nice!
2.0 THINGS I DON’T WRITE:

21 + 15 + 8!
asdfghjkl rose thank you for asking ♥️ this ended up coming out incredibly long, so i apologize in advance!
8) where do you take your inspiration from?
surprising! mostly from visual media, actually. graphics, art, moodboards, films, tv series, that kind of stuff. occasionally, music, and even more rarely, written media (fics, books, poems, similar). that’s for when i’m starting to get ideas. when i already have something written or ideas developed a bit more, then i have a moodboard on pinterest and a playlist on spotify, or i watch something that has the same mood/theme as the thing i’m writing.
15) if you write oc’s, how do you decide on their names?
i don’t usually write oc’s for fics, but i do them for my original stuff. the names depend on the characters’ background and location, but they all have a name that either sounds specific to their character or who they’re supposed to be, or the meaning is very connected.
in other cases, most of the time, i just go ‘woah this sounds cool’ or sometimes i build a whole character because of their name and subsequently the whole story.
21 tell me about another writer(s) who you admire? what is it about them that you admire?
i love this question!! let me give my favourite fic writers a shoutout, even though i’m probably missing some too!! it’s really long but honestly these people worked hard and they really deserve it
@grumpybell‘s ideas are absolutely brilliant. i’m a huge fan. the stories themselves, the plots would be enough for me to have a whole paragraph about, but for me, the characters are where it’s at. well-developed, very true to the canon but also to the universe the fic is set in, but also very well-rounded and overall realistic. the fics just flow really nice, honestly, and i could read them for eternity.
fic shoutout: oh darling, here’s hoping god i remember reading this red riding hood au and just... falling in love. i did. i fell in love with bellamy as the wolf and clarke’s desperation to save him, and the new take on the fairy tale, it was just absolute perfection. i keep coming to it every once in a while, honestly. it’s just magic.
@asroarke is one of those people who are just integrated into a fandom’s fanfiction. imagining t100 fanfiction with asroarke is like... imagining the sky without the stars. i think those fics were the first ones i read when i joined the fandom, and i remember one of the things i thought was how easy it was to read. everything flowed as if there was no effort needed, as if the words have always been there, just plucked and placed on a blank document. and the consistency, honestly, damn. these fics are better than probably more than half of published stuff i’ve read.
fic shoutout: drag me down. look there’s a pattern here and it’s the mythical/legends/fairy tale aus. i present you with a retelling of little mermaid in the most beautiful, soul-wrenching way. i waited every single chapter for when i came out. i read it as soon as i saw it came out, even if i was in the middle of grabbing coffee with a friend. honestly everything by asroarke is absolutely fantastic.
@blvke-bellamy okay look. when i saw may is just 15 i nearly fell off my chair. i’d kill to have that talent at 15. i would. look, i keep saying look, because i’m shook. but honestly, may’s characterization is brilliant. she took my faves from the 100 and managed to insert them into a different universe, and they feel so much like the original characters and not at all. the dynamics between them are so raw and so pure and so believable i cried at one particular scene in her fic. or it might be two scenes. and look, this is impressive on its own, and then knowing she’s just 15...god.
fic shoutout: step into the sun is a bellarke tangled au and honestly. i’m a slut for tangled. it’s so damn good. and this fic?? inspired by tangled?? absolutely brilliant. marvelous. 11/10. brought my fish to life. and honestly murphy is my favourite in the fic, literally one of my favourite portrayals of him in every fic i’ve ever read. i binged this. i lost sleep over this. no ragrets.
@pawprinterfanfic (i’m biased but. in top 3 fic writers ever. and i’ve been in a lot of popular fandoms.) paw manages to take a universe and make it hers. paw manages to create a universe out of nothing and make it feel more realistic than my own life. and honestly, i am reading her hunger games au right now and it’s amazing, but the best part is that i’m also reading the harry potter au which is even better and although both are masterpieces, i can see the improvement. the development of the characters, the amount of effort in planning and mapping things out, it’s marvellous. her fics just speak to me on a different level, it feels as if i’m experiencing them myself rather than reading them, and what i’m mostly in awe of is how immersed i am in those fics, especially the newer ones. i feel like it’s a rare skill to have.
fic shoutout: starry eyes and galaxy minds (we’ll be dancing on the clouds at night) which is a spider-man au, and honestly, i cried. it’s beautiful. it’s a masterpiece. but so is literally every single one of paw’s stories, so it was a really difficult choice. the harry potter one? j k rowling wishes she wrote it.
skai_heda (i don’t know their tumblr please someone help me find it). where do i begin. honestly. when i started reading the fic i put below, i was mesmerised by the writing style. it was partly in second pov which i’d usually refuse to read, but this writing style is something that belongs to gods. the characterization is amazing, it manages to fix some of the stuff in canon without actually changing it. everything just comes together naturally, and i always feel so satisfied when reading their fics. plus, the writing style again, especially in the fic below, is flawless. some people can create magic with their words, and i’m convinced i’ve just found one.
fic shoutout: everything that comes after deserves so much!! more!! attention!!! i remember reading the first two chapters and just being like...wooow. i was starstruck. i left a long ass comment. it’s so unique and so beautiful. it’s the only fic on this list written in the canon universe, and it’s one of my favourites i’ve ever read about the canon universe. it hurts. it makes you cry, and ache, and understand, and smack your head because you just want people to be happy. if i could pocket the way this fic made me feel, i would always keep it with me. (a little frustration, but a whole lotta love.)
give me a number and i’ll answer questions about writing fanfiction
just in case you’d like to see the same questions answered for non-fanfiction/non-fanfiction influence, see below!
15) if you write oc’s, how do you decide on their names?
specific example of mentioned above - a wip about teenagers who come from a rich side of town and a poor side. there’s posh names, like cedric, declan, byron and gregory, for people who are supposed to represent the posh, stuck-up class; hadley, tessa, abigail, kate for privileged people who are the ‘good guys’; and luca, oliver, han, freddie, who are from the poor side. it’s very classist so it was very important that the names represent the characters. usually, i go for the “vibe” of the name over the meaning, to be honest.
21 tell me about another writer(s) who you admire? what is it about them that you admire?
i love this question!!
fiction: maggie stiefvater, because her raven cycle series genuinely feels like magic when i read it. the characters are brilliant. erin morgenstern, who wrote the night circus, because that novel also feels like magic. donna tart’s the secret history feels as if you’re reading a secret and the storytelling sort of reminds me of f. scott fitzgerald’s the great gatsby in a way i can’t really describe. she creates a beautiful, magnificent atmosphere and you know what the characters are doing is wrong, but you completely understand them and it makes me, as a reader, question my own moral standards. madeline miller’s the song of achilles is a beautifully written masterpiece that made me fall in love with mythology, legends and history all over again. the way she develops the characters and retells the story i’ve heard a million times is so poetic and beautiful it just resonates with me on a different level. and finally, leigh bardugo with her six of crows series that again, makes me question my morals, but shows the friendship and loyalty between people in a beautiful way. it also shows a romance that i think is one of best written i’ve read, up there for me romances from the novels/series i’ve already mentioned.
there’s a pattern - storytelling and character-building that feels almost otherworldly, very focused on emotions and character development. basically, stories that you feel like as if they were made into films without proper, detailed development, wouldn’t translate well enough to bring the world to the screen. and romances incredibly well-developed over time, that go beyond just being romances and actually show a beautiful connection.
special mention of these directors, as they have a huge influence on my writing: christopher nolan, john krasinski, quentin tarantino, m night shyamalan, steven knight, guillermo del toro, alfred hitchcock, for their storytelling and character building. also, some of these are for the suspense that seems to come naturally. i know most of these are very popular directors, but they’re popular for a reason. i could literally write an essay on each of these people, honestly. my writing is very inspired by motion pictures, i most often look up to how these directors approached some things that i have in my writing, especially themes. (this could literally be a whole essay on its own)
#zoyanasyalenzky#god this took me ages#fic rec#the 100#bellarke#these are all bellarke fics#i should probably say this#also#fic talk#rose#i had so much fun though#and there's so many people i haven't put in here#mostly because i'm exhausted#i just really love reading these people's fics#ask me questions if you want horribly long answers#i'll always deliver#also i might do a fic rec soon#probably should ah

can i be a psycho and your worst nightmare by asking ALL the writers asks?
You are a demon omg. I love it though this was so much fun to do.Since you didn’t specify fic specifically for some of these questions I’m just gonna write about The Devil Has Come for all of the “in xxx fic” asks.
Answers are below since this is such a long ask :):):)
1) How old were you when you first starting writing fanfiction? 12/13 it was between 7th and 8th grade and it was all anime fanfiction
2) What fandoms do you write for and do you have a particular favourite if you write for more than one?Far Cry 5, RDR2, Assassin’s Creed, DC, Marvel, Fallout, Skyrim, Preacher. Far Cry 5 is definitely my favorite to write for though
3) Do you prefer writing OC’s or reader inserts? Explain your answer.Personally, I prefer OC’s, with OC’s I can build their character, give them a personality and growth. I like shaping the character as the world changes based on their actions
4) What is your favourite genre to write for?Action or romance unless I totally misread that question
5) If you had to choose a favourite out of all of your multi-chaptered stories, which would it be and why?The Devil Has Come!!! It was my first in the Far Cry fandom and it’s my baby. I love all the characters and the world that I’m building. It’s got action, romance, some twists, it’s exciting
6) If you had to delete one of your stories and never speak of it again, which would it be and why?If we’re talking things that I’m currently writing and enjoy writing then I guess Bridges only because it’s the same characters as TDHC just in an AU form so I’d survive without it.
7) When is your preferred time to write?Night, 10pm on basically.
8) Where do you take your inspiration from?Everywhere really? TV shows, movies, video games, other fics
9) In your xxx fic, what’s your favourite scene that you wrote? So far my favorite scene that I wrote in TDHC that has been published was either the confrontation with Rook in Chapter 11 or Jacob finding Sarah in the hotel in Chapter 8. They were both really fun to write.
10) In your xxx fic, why did you decide to end it like that? Did you have an alternate ending in mind?Well it hasn’t been ended yet, but there were two possible endings that I was originally considering. I’m not saying much more other than the ending that I went with is gonna hurt me when I eventually get to it.
11) Have you ever amended a story due to criticisms you’ve received after posting it?Not after posting but I have amended stories due to criticisms. If I’m a bit worried about a particular scene I’ll share the doc with my best lady @farcryfuckmeup and get her opinion. She usually points out things that aren’t great and I go from there. She’s the closet thing to a beta reader that I have.
12) Who is your favourite character to write for? Why?Sarah!!! She’s my best girl and I love her personality and attitude. In terms of canon characters though I’ve been writing some stuff from Arthur Morgan’s pov and that’s been really fun too. I really love playing around with his sense of self and morality.
13) Who is your least favourite character to write for? Why?I don’t have one yet? We’ll see how the future plays out there. It might be Ethan Seed but I’ve never written stuff for him so I’m not 100% sure.
14) How did you come up with the title for the xxx? - You can ask about multiple stories.Almost every fic name is from a song. The Devil Has Come is from Blues Saraceno’s “The River”, Icarus is from Bastille’s “Icarus”, and I’m not sure where Bridges is from but I’m 90% sure it was a song. The series that TDHC and it’s connected stories are a part of is called Bottom of the River from Delta Rae’s “Bottom of the River”.
15) If you write OC’s, how do you decide on their names?I use name generators for modern characters or look up names with a specific meaning. If the character is from the past (ie cowboy times or pirate times) I look up names popular in that century. Sarah’s name I got by looking up popular names with religious meanings and Sarah was on the list.
16) How did you come up with the idea for xxx?I came up with the idea for TDHC by playing co-op with @farcryfuckmeup. It was originally supposed to be a crackfic based on the dumbshit we did in-game. Then in my desperation to pretend that the game didn’t end the way it ends I started coming up with ways it could have gone differently and thus my fic was born.
17) Post a line from a WIP that you’re working on.I have so many wips! I’ll do a few because I’m in a sharing mood.Fallout 4 WIP: “‘You don’t even use power armor, why did you steal so many?’”RDR2 WIP: “Valentine was a crap town with crap people and even crappier whiskey. It was tiny and smelled like mud and horse shit and something else that she was pretty sure was vomit.”Another RDR2 WIP: “Trouble was the bastard was clingy apparently as he was hot on Arthur’s heel.”
18) Do you have any abandoned WIP’s? What made you abandon them?Yes, a few. I got bored or I decided to focus on other things. I do intend to one day finish them but who knows
19) Are there any stories that you’ve written that you’d really love to do a sequel to?The Devil Has Come!!! I can’t wait to write a sequel and I haven’t even finished the current fic.
20) Are there any stories that you wished you’d ended differently?Sometimes I wish I’d written a follow up to my judge fic Joseph and his Judge. I’m not totally sure if I like how it ended.
21) Tell me about another writer(s) who you admire? What is it about them that you admire?@farcryfuckmeup first and foremost, she’s amazing. I also love gwennolmarie and OutlandishWhalesharks on Archive of Our Own.
22) Do you have a story that you look back on and cringe when you reread it?My anime fics from middle school. It’s still posted and I won’t tell you what it’s called but every time I remember it a little part of me dies.
23) Do you prefer listening to music when you’re writing or do you need silence?Music mostly but it sometimes depends on the scene. For certain scenes I need silence but for the most part it’s music music music. I have playlists for all sorts of scene types.
24) How do you feel about writing smutty scenes?I love it, idk if I’m any good at it but I do like writing them.
25) Have you ever cried whilst writing a story?Yes, I’ve been writing some future parts of TDHC and I have cried a bit writing some of it.
26) Which part of your xxx fic was the hardest to write? The smut scene in Chapter 10 of TDHC, it was the first smut scene I’d ever published so I was really worried about that and kept rewriting it.
27) Do you make a general outline for your stories or do you just go with the flow?Bit of both I guess. There is a vague outline in my head but only for like the big events, everything in between is go with the flow shit.
28) What is something you wished you’d known before you started posting fanfiction? It’s not going to be an instant hit. When I first started posting works back in the day I was always so upset when I’d check the next day and see only like 12 people had read it.
29) Do you have a story that you feel doesn’t get as much love as you’d like?Icarus :( It’s only a baby fic and it’s in a mostly dead fandom but I love it.
30) In contrast to 29 is there a story which gets lots of love which you kinda eye roll at?No, I love all the attention my fics get.
31) Send me a fic recommendation and I’ll post it for my followers to see! (The asker is to send the rec not the answerer)I’m gonna recommend one myself. Since this is a Far Cry blog I’ll recommend a Far Cry fic: come a little closer by lowtides on AO3Also here’s a Fallout 4 fic that isn’t finished but I absolutely love: RAIDERHEAD by TaraTargaryen
32) Are any of your characters based on real people? No real people no. Thomas is a combination of a few fictional characters though.
33) What’s the biggest compliment you’ve gotten?I’ve gotten a few comments of analysis on chapters I’ve posted and honestly I love that so much. Nothing warms my heart more than seeing that someone not only read my fic but sat there and actually thought a lot about it.
34) What’s the harshest criticism you’ve gotten?Like I said before I haven’t gotten a lot of criticism, but I guess the harshest for me was when I was discussing a character that I had really started to like and my friend (who I was ranting at about him) asked me to honestly think about what he brings to the table. Like is he actually necessary or just a throwaway character that won’t bring much to the story? I ended up scrapping him and putting a nameless character in his place to fill a few of his scenes.
35) Do you share your story ideas with anyone else or do you keep them close to your chest?I share them with one (1) person and that person is my irl best friend @farcryfuckmeup. Everyone else has to wait until I post stuff I don’t want to spoil any big surprises.
36) Can you give us a spoiler for one of your WIP’s?It’s a chapter very far in the future for a fic I’m sure you can guess but I won’t outright say.“Against his better judgment, he reached out and grabbed the hysteric woman, tightening his grip against her struggling and pulling her into his lap. He wrapped her in a tight hug until she finally began to calm down, humming softly and running his fingers through blood-soaked hair.“
37) What’s the funniest story you’ve written?I haven’t written a lot of funny stuff. I mostly do angsty. But when I was in middle school a wrote a novel where I spent two paragraphs talking about my MC’s hair color and current outfit and I cackle every time I read it. 70 pages or pure cringe, it’s hilarious.
38) If you could collab with any other writer on here, who would it be? (Perhaps this question will inspire some collabs!) If you’re shy, don’t tag the blog, just name it.@farcryfuckmeup hmu bitch!also you @onl-you
39) Do you prefer first, second or third person?Third, every now and then I write in first but idk I just don’t like it much.
40) Do people know you write fanfiction? My close friends do
41) What’s you favourite minor character you’ve written?Thomas Moore, he’s a lot of fun to write for.
42) Song fic - What made you decide to use the song xxx for xxx.I don’t actually have any song fics in the traditional sense. I do however have some fics inspired by songs. I listen to music almost constantly, sometimes a song comes on that gives my fic vibes and I add it to my prompt playlist.
43) Has anyone ever guessed the plot twist of one of your fics before you posted it?@/farcryfuckmeup has but I don’t try too hard to keep secrets when she’s around
44) What is the last line you wrote?“John rolled his eyes and finished unbuttoning his shirt.”
45) What spurs you on during the writing process? This is cliche probably but the readers. I don’t want to leave someone waiting around for the next update forever. I also want to see how things play out myself so my own desire to see the finished product also helps.
46) I really loved your xxx fic. If you were ever to do a sequel, what do you think might happen in it?Again, going with TDHC for this. I am writing a sequel currently (I know it’s not done). It’s going to focus on a different character but Sarah will make appearances. I’m also working on a standalone sequel for her but that won’t be posted until the first sequel fic is complete.
47) Here’s a fic title - insert a made-up title. What would this story be about?I used a title generator: Hidden Midnight. It’s about a pair of idiots in love, one is a vampire so they can only meet at night and it’s very secretive. The human dies at the end.
48) What’s your favourite trope to write?Forced partnerships. I love it when two characters are forced into a partnership. One of them can’t fucking stand the other but slowly grows to like/love them in secret. If the chill one is in danger the annoyed one freaks the fuck out and does everything they can to get to their partner and afterwards claims they couldn’t care less what happened.
49) Can you remember the first fic you read? What was it about?I don’t remember the name of it but I’m pretty sure it was a Supernatural fic. I think it was Destiel (don’t just middle school me) and a high school AU. I’m not 100% sure. It was either that or a Fairy Tail fic and I like to forget my anime days.
50) If you could write only angst, fluff or smut for the rest of your writing life, which would it be and why?Angst. I love fluff and smut but in the end, I always go back to angst. It’s so much fun and there are so many ways to do it.

and finally,
The Unlocked series. This is a polyamory series featuring Emma, Killian, and Liam. The entire series is rated E and includes Unlocked, Unbound, Unchained, Unbroken, and Unforgiven. Unforgiven is unfinished at this point as this is a continuing series. There’s 5 chapters so far. This series is without a doubt my favorite of all of Michelle’s works. I don’t know how many times I’ve read the entire series from the beginning. I’m generally not a fan of Emma in anyone else’s arms but Killian’s, but this series has completely sucked me in. Her characterization of these characters is perfect from the beginning! Two brothers who love each other very much but with jagged edges that the other doesn’t really know what to do with and a lonely, broken woman come together and fill in all those missing parts and jagged edges in the most perfect and beautiful of ways. Falling in love, developing, growing up and growing together is absolutely beautiful to witness. As much as I love Michelle’s smut, my favorite parts of this series are those words, sentences, and paragraphs that speak to where they have come from, how much each of these characters have grown, how much they all love each other, and the future they are all dreaming of.
These are my absolute favorites of Michelle’s fics. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have! Happy birthday my dear! Hope it’s been a great day!

Below you will find the verse summaries / write-ups for my characters in a modern verse, political based, tying in with the political verse of @magicandsciencemuses and Liz’s muses there. The adaptations are primarily written / made for writing with Liz but if there is anyone that would like to write w/ these adapted modern versions of any characters I’m open to discussions about it. It would be separate from the world build with Liz unless all parties were okay with it affecting the private group plot as a whole. These are all ending up paragraphs or so, so I’m dropping it beneath the cut. Currently a WIP. Subject to change as I work things out w/ Liz etc.
Alice Mortania. True to form, Alice is a small time grifter, occasional sex worker and tends to roam and travel a lot to wherever she can make a quick buck and stay clear of whatever trouble is at her heels. However, she’s currently forcing herself to stick around Washington, despite all of her instincts that say run, after one of her close friends and fellow sex worker was found murdered; all signs point to someone in the current running campaign and Alice is determined to do whatever it takes to find out who was responsible for her friend’s death and make them pay, one way or another. Ties in to: Elias Ryker, detective who is investigating her friend’s murder; William Conway, the front runner in the competition ( possible suspect ); Rupert Giles, current elect ( possible suspect ).
Amanda Waller. Having devoted the majority of her life to public service, Waller has set her eyes on a position on the Presidential Cabinet, Secretary of the Department of Defense and she will do whatever it takes to get it - in turn, she’s happy to do whatever it takes to get the candidate elected that will back her and ensure her this position once they have been sworn in. She has no qualms using violence, blackmail, leverage of any kind to get what she needs. She’s served as head of a highly classified counterintelligence division for the last twelve years, served in civil service for a decade before that and has racked up a number of favors owed over the years – as well as a whole lot of buried secrets that she wants to keep that way. Ties in to: to be determined. ( Conway or Giles most likely. )
Belle Duponte. Belle struggles to find ways to support herself and her father: once a renowned scientist, her father now suffers from depression and has drowned himself (and in turn her) with debt from loans, both personal and small business loans, and he has now turned to gambling and incurring debts from various loan sharks in the DC area, leaving her to bear the brunt of trying to keep him above water and in one piece, physically and mentally. She finds herself trapped in a position by one of the more dangerous of the people her father owes and has been leveraged into finding a way into the good graces (by any means necessary) of one of the men vying for President. She currently volunteers in his campaign office and is feeding small tidbits back to her handler, and is being pressured to get up close and personal, sooner rather than later. [ aka honeypot. ] Ties in to: ( Giles or Conway. tbd. )
Carl Hickman. Once a decorated NYPD detective with one of the highest solve percentages in the history of the PD, Hickman was forced out of the department after an injury on the job made him incapable of handling a firearm etc. and for several years, due to the sour nature of his departure, his personal vendetta, issues with trauma and a developing morphine addiction due to the nature of his injury, Hickman vanished from the public eye. In recent months, however, he has been seen back in the states, working as a security and protection detail consultant for a Presidential candidate. Ties into: to be determined. Claire Dearing ( campaign manager for the candidate he works for. )
Jemma Barnes. ( short version: decorated member of the military, long family history of military service above and beyond, currently serving as a member of the secret service / travels with giles. )
June Moone. ( short version: daughter of the current ambassador for the us. )
Kristin Ortega. A member of the DCPD, Kristin is a homicide detective, following in the footsteps of her father. Currently a partner of Elias Ryker, she is more than a little busy balancing a heavy case load and what passes for a personal life; between concern for her partner’s well being as he delves into a homicide with ties to the current political debates, she’s also struggling with trying to come to a decision in terms of her faith which is causing strife with her mother and family. Her increasing frustrations with the corruption in the police department itself is causing a rift between herself and other officers, including her captain whom she suspects is on the take and in the pocket of one of the presidential candidates and as a whole, her life feels like it’s teetering on the edge of imminent disaster. Ties in to: Elias Ryker.
Laurel Isley. Daughter of one of the blue blood high society political families of Washington, Laurel is manipulative, deadly and sweet as sugar on the surface. She’s walked the walk, she talks the talk: from a young age she showed remarkable intellectual acuity, seemed to play well with others, a natural leader; heavily involved in extracurricular activities, volunteered with outreach programs in high school and onward, organizes fundraisers through her family and schools, attended and graduated summa cum laude at her Ivy League university a year early. Currently works as an administrative assistant to [ insert political job here ] and volunteers after work hours and weekends for one of the presidential candidates. TIes in to: Claire Dearing, Saori Leons, Carl Hickman.
Rori Dearing. ( short version, political activist, has been branded an ‘eco-terrorist’, alternates between flying under the radar and making a nuisance of herself; involved w/ william conway. )
Saori Leons. Saori is the daughter of a war hero, Colonel Edward Franklin Dearing, a decorated three-star general who has served for the majority of his life before finally retiring three years ago. Her family is a blue blood political elite from Georgia and Saori is running for office against William Conway and Rupert Giles. She is running as an independent. Saori is also the twin of Rori Dearing; has not denied her familial ties but does what she can to assure the general populace etc. that while she loves and supports her sister, she does not support Rori’s illegal activities and actively discourages any violence or illegal actions of any kind, no matter the cause or end goal. Ties in to: Rori Dearing, (Claire Dearing as sibling?), William Conway, Rupert Giles.
Shelly Webster. A victim of sexual assault and violence; Her fiancee was killed the night before their wedding and she was raped and severely beaten and left for dead. She has become an advocate and a voice for victims of violence and assault. She runs an outreach program and shelter for runaway teens and has been a very vocal advocate of finding the truth of what happened to the latest victim (the one Elias is investigating) of violence in the city, especially with the rumors that it is being covered up by a current political candidate. Ties in to: Elias Ryker.
Trinity. While her real identity is unknown even to the agencies that have been investigating her for years now, Trinity is a hacker who focuses on revealing the dirty little secrets that the government wants to keep hidden: back door deals, bribes, policy changes that are slid in under the radar, misdeeds done by those in office or running for office, military incursions on foreign soil, acts of domestic of foreign terrorism, assassinations and or coups funded by the United States or given support by the US government and military forces. Anything and everything in an attempt to ensure actual transparency. Ties in to: Root.

Writing ask: 3, 8, 10, 13, 15, 18, 19, 21, 34, 38, 41, 43, and 48!
Wow wow wow!! Thank you!! Answers below the cut!!
writer’s ask game
3. Computer or pen and paper?
I do almost all of my writing on my phone 😅 Not great for posture or speed but extremely mobile, yanno? Usually I’ll edit on my computer though, bc the change in format helps spot errors.
8. Oldest WIP?
Technically I have L Word fanfic sitting out there from 2006, but right now it’s Witchstock, my OT3 Charmed fic. I am gonna finish it but it hasn’t caught my attention much until recently :)
10. Do you set yourself deadlines?
Not reaaally, more so I make a judgment on how my week is gonna go and aim for completion on a chapter or oneshot of something. Usually I get stuck on my multichapter fics when I have too many other ideas (hey, podfics) so I do force myself to put form to those shorter ideas to make room for finishing the longer ones!
13. Describe your writing process from idea to polished
I don’t write down ideas (hence when I keep losing people’s suggestions in asks 😭) until I am p much decided on the main points and ready to write the thing, and I can’t start writing a thing until I’ve picked out a title, which is annoying. I don’t outline in full, but I will write as many scenes as I can in a first go, and I’ll drop plot notes for myself in between paragraphs if there’s a scene that I skip for later. Then I just keep going back to the beginning and rewrite, add, rewrite, add, until all the notes are gone—most of the time, my multichap fics are almost completely done by the time I post the first chapter, but I’m hemming and hawwing over details in later parts for days or weeks. Once everything seems in order, I read it all one last time for spelling/grammar. That’s usually how you end up getting my AO3 posts at like 2 am.
15. How do you deal with writer’s block?
I write something else! Or if I’m not feeling like writing at all, I’ll dig into old fics I love. But really, finding new TV shows to watch and music to listen to is key for me, kinda like a content reset on my brain.
18. If you could collaborate with anyone, who would it be, and what would you write about?
I am VERY protective of my unfinished work… so this would be difficult for me. Honestly I would love to write a book, TV show, or movie with my baby brother, loosely based on our lives. Super extra Viet mom, emotionally unavailable but generally chill white dad, growing up in small town Oklahoma. I would want it to vibe like Everybody Hates Chris.
19. How do you keep yourself motivated?
Internally: oh my god my brain is too full, i need to get this out, help give me a google doc in which to dump my feelings
Externally: re-reading kind comments on my work! They give me life.
21. Who is/are your favourite character(s) to write?
Probs obvious, but Niko Hamada and Anissa Pierce. Canon lesbians, so I don’t have to put myself back into coming out headspace, older, so I don’t have to try to imagine high school or college again, serious professionals with corny senses of humor in casual settings. It’s the self-projection!! I also really love writing Maria Rambeau because I think she’s incredibly engaging.
34. What was the hardest scene you ever had to write?
The scene in RWSBC where the Charmed Ones rescue Niko from the wolf. I wrote, deleted, and rewrote the part from where Niko wakes up confused to where they escape more than anything else before or after, so far. It kinda reminds me of how J* R*wling said she purposefully mentioned all the time control things getting destroyed so they wouldn’t mess with later plots—the world I made was suddenly so open that I couldn’t hone in on a satisfying mix of description, action, and narration, in a way that wouldn’t create huge plotholes with my later plans.
38. Weirdest story idea you’ve ever had
Soooo… I guess my interpretation of “weird” might be diff than what others would use… But I guess I’d have to say, I have an original, perpetually unfinished work that is a trilogy, but it starts with a spy drama involving biological warfare, then that leads to Part II which is a zombie infestation, and then Part III is one hundred years later, after the zombie-infected American continents were evacuated, and the first humans are returning to the area. It’s all the same universe and related characters/forces at work. I’ll be lucky to finish Part I before I’m 85.
41. Any advice for new/beginning/young writers?
Write for YOU, first and foremost. Write to impress yourself, and the rest will fall into place. Do your research and stick to your morals; you don’t need to write a scene you find reprehensible to create conflict.
43. What do you do if/when characters don’t follow the outline?
Smoke a bowl and let them have free potshots at my plot until they’ve let me take over again. You know who’s the worst about this? Maggie Vera. She just drags me around by my ear.
48. What’s the most self-insert character/scene you’ve ever written?
😅😬🤓 welllllllllllll I meannnnn Niko Hamada is a self-insert that someone else made seemingly just for me (and subsequently blew it), BUT I think my most egregious self-insert scenes are in Pierce, where Anissa says “I love you” for the first time and when she asks Grace to marry her; both of those are conceptually stolen from my relationship with my wife.

Author rec
Hello all! I had a thought that since I’ve read so much fic in the last year and met so many wonderful and talented people in this fandom that it was time for me to start promoting my favorite authors, not just fics. So without further ado, one of my all-time favorite authors is
@totheendoftheworldortime
Michelle’s work is absolutely AWESOME!! Her fics are well-written and plot-driven, with PLENTY of smut. Her prose is simply beautiful. When she describes our favorite savior with her walls I simply want to cry! When Emma is strong, I cheer! When she bombards me with CS feels, I swoon and fall to pieces! She is truly a gift and a treasure in this fandom! Below is the link to her page on AO3. I have read almost all of her work and I love it ALL! That being said however, there are many of her fics that are on my favorites list. Those links are also below. Enjoy reading! Go give her some love! Tell her Krystal sent you!
