Wait I actually got the job at Chipotle?

#i msan i didnt interview badly or anything #and i have strong food service experience #im just not used to places I apply to. responding to me #the job market is bleak #am i really about to have a full time job so i can comfortably pay the bills again?#one of my managers has been teasing an 'opportunistic' meeting for the past few weeks #and i was considering staying because this is a place thag would be good to grow in #but i really just sat my manager down and said 'look i have another opportunity. what's the opportunity youve been talking about?'#and he said that it likely couldnt happen anymore #so idk if he was fucking with me or if something just changed #ill be a little sad to leave this job #there are coworkers i really like #but i really dont like 2/3 of the managers #and its only part time #the hours are really unstable and therefore so are my paychecks #and shit is expensive #but a steady full time job? damn that sounds nice #i just texted the manager to clarify that it's full time #and if she confirms then im probs gonna onboard on friday!#the benefits at chipotle are also pretty solid while at this job theyre nonexistent #im looking forward to it

yandere coworker who later sets the jacket on a mannequin in his room, relishing the faint scent of you it gave off

yandere coworker who has no shame talking, hugging, and cuddling with the mannequin- with a wig and your perfume he could close his eyes and pretend it was the real thing

yandere coworker who lets all his fantasies and delusions manifest while he holds mannequin you- he enjoys telling “you” how his day was and how “you” looked so good today and how “you are the only light of his life”- all while closing his eyes and stroking the wig of hair on top of the mannequin

yandere coworker who sulks when the mannequin starts smelling more like him and less like you, which leads him to the conclusion it’s time to return the suit jacket (only after he’s properly cleaned it up of course)

by the time you get it back and on your body, your other coworkers have a chuckle at how you smell just like yan coworker- what a coincidence!

yan coworker watches as you smile innocently, unaware the suit jacket was just the first of many pieces of clothing that was yet to be taken

Honesty hours: I've been working a summer job at a bookstore for almost two months now. Here are the books I will discreetly shake my head at customers for buying. My literary red flags, if you will.

Anything tarot

Particular romance and romantasy novels that I've been told are basically just soft erotica (ACOTAR being the most popular)

Harlequins, which apparently still exist

Colleen Hoover

The Colleen Hoover merch we sell for some godforsaken reason

Heaven is For Real, When God Winks at You, and other theologically sketchy but inexplicably popular books. I'm always internally thinking, "oh honey, no!"

Giant stack of self help books combined with books from the business section. This suggests a very particular type of person. This type of person scares me.

Especially that one book we have about how to become a "superior man" (??)

More than one book by James Patterson. One book is forgivable; multiple suggests you follow him as an author

More than one book by Danielle Steel (same reason)

Parents buying their kids books that are just "Adult Thing: For Kids!" Like we have a picture book that's called "A Day at Dunder Mifflin" or the one adapted from the Dumb and Dumber movies and I'm like. Don't you think your kid would prefer something that's actually for them??

That guy who bought the collected writings of Lenin, the poetic writings of Mao, and a giant, thousand-page biography of Che Guevara all in one go. You okay there buddy?

Hey, if you have speech impediments, you are so amazing.

If you stutter or have a lisp or misspeak easily or you have a flat affect or a limited verbal vocabulary or if your voice is AAC or if you just have a difference in your vocality, you are so incredibly important and amazing.

Just know that your voice is yours. Nobody will ever be able to truly take it away. Your voice is part of you, and you deserve to make it as true to you as you deem fit. I hope you have the space to grow with your voice and whatever about it makes it unique.

#positivity #disability positivity #partially because so much of voical differences arise from disability #i've developed a really annoying lisp-ish issue #and it's hard to be positive about it because it makes me feel like i'll be treated as lesser because it's a 'childish' affect #but i literally can't help it unless i spend 110% of my focus on it. and i don't have that amount of energy #but it makes me think about others and especially those who have it more intensely than i do #and i just want to uplift everybody because vocal differences are neutral at worst #man my dad always tells a story about this coworker he had who had a stutter like you wouldn't believe...#...and he was fucking BRUTALIZED for it... 'c-c-c-c-CAN YOU GET TO THE POINT?!' is how people would talk to him...#...and obviously that made his stutter twice as fucking worse and i can't imagine the shame and humiliation that followed...#...i hope he learned that those assholes were a fucking waste of time and that he doesn't have to deal with that...#...like i'm sorry but there is no fucking need to be that sadistic toward somebody who is obviously already anxious and worried
