Jason thing.
He was my Guinea Pig for some new brushes and rendering techniques. He is holding the bullet he is going to kill you with. /aff
Ko-Fi.
#I'm getting through my WIP and to-do list. This one was originally named 'Jason render thing and expression sheet'.#You may notice the lack of an expression sheet. That's because I gave up. I did a few sketches but then I was like “nah”.#Now I wanna try this with Harvey but that's very scary. But it'll be therapeutic so oh well.#jason todd#red hood#fanart#dc comics#practice#procreate#reginalususart

Back on my embroidery bullshit
And yes it’s moomin again
#I have two motivations for doing this activity#1#it’s really good practice for my job#I gotta do extremely neat embroidery there#and 2#I’ve never been someone who likes colouring books so this is like that to me#it’s so therapeutic#I did it for 7 hours today#just cycling through projects#I don’t actually know what I’m gonna do with the finished pieces#maybe sew them onto a dress or bag or something I guess#moominvalley#moomin#sewing#embroidery art#embroidery#fiber arts#lulu blogs

I'm sorry, Vox has a therapist? Even if they see each other as infrequently as he says, my god is that fascinating. What a thankless job!
Vox has... a couples therapist that he and Val visit once every few years when they get into a fight big enough that Velvette refuses to fucking deal with them, at which point they hire some poor sap who can't rightfully say much to the two angry overlords screaming in his face about how the other one is definitely a piece of shit and in the wrong.
(Privately, the therapist must also acknowledge that they're both in the right about the other one being a piece of shit.)
#ask#personal#Anonymous#cannot emphasize enough that he is not engaging in good faith therapeutic practices LMAO#hazbin hotel#my writing#staticmoth

here’s the thing. i’ve gotten in my own head. i feel like my fic ideas are too ambitious/bold for my skill level, specifically looking at writing sexy things. like i feel like if it’s gonna be weird conceptually it’s gotta be solid structurally, you know? but the little bit of smut i wrote like three(?) years ago makes me cringe (because i wrote it, and also i know it’s not totally amazing objectively, even though i published those short blurbs with the intent of revisiting/rewriting/expanding upon them at a later date) (also i’ll be so real, there’s not much irl inspo i can draw upon, if that wasn’t blatantly obvious) and i’m down to be self-indulgent and experimental but i also want to be proud of what i’ve written and hnnnnnnnnnngggggggg
#char chats#writing is hard#i could simply not write sexy things. but i feel like that would be therapeutically healing for Reasons#and also that’s what i *want* to write#i’m just awkward about it#only way to get more comfy with it is to just do it i know i knowwww#words of encouragement (however silly or serious) would be appreciated if you have some to spare#or legit practical advice 🤷🏻♀️#i love learning

*Overdramatically tosses a Holy Water at you*
I like this pose too, but that body bend was unsurprisingly a challenge. And no matter what, Simon has to do that little dainty thing with his hand (I told you I am not hallucinating, also it's cute).
#I WAS gonna draw a richter for scale but I got tired#he can train with his ancestor later :>#yeah the other thing with these pose redraws are it's wonderful practice for translating styles#especially since I was actually looking at richter for this pose (as he was facing forward)-- they don't have the same exact body shape ;V#(it was also hard because my reference was at 720p or under or something aghhh)#doodle-daas#castlevania#simon belmont#thank you to this pretty hunter guy and his therapeutic muscles to get me out of an energy-drop#anti netflixvania

Hey, hey dude I hate to be the bearer of bad news but uh, your boy is being killed in your own graphic. Like he's actively being murdered....yea idk what to tell you dude he's like Dead dead there
#I forgot what platform I was on when I first saw this tweet#cause I was instantly going to retweet it with 'kys'#I hate twitter and specifically go on it to make myself mad#so I can practice sitting with anger and slowly build my tolerance for feeling angry without feeling guilty#it's therapeutic trust me dw about it my therapist knows I do this#I mean I would say he *approves* but he says it's an option for now. it's safer than alternatives#wouldnt* say#anyways yea I'm making this post because I almost got myself suspended off of twitter#because sometimes I'll be mean to republicans and if I get more strikes I'll get suspended#also I know like. how people identify/classify Jesus is complicated but just go with it for now#ex christian#religious trauma

Art again! Finally-
Hiii, I'm finally posting some more art since I've been practicing using watercolor today, and I actually have the motive to post + free time!
This isn't that good since it's just practice + I was experimenting, but I'm happy enough with it! Lemme tell you, I was fighting for my life with the coloring/shading 💀
I also have this random sketch I made while waiting for my watercolor layers to dry! It was mostly just very brief anatomy practice, and I have no idea who this is supposed to be, but he was definitely inspired by Temuera Morrison lmfao. I've also started painting this sketch with watercolor, so I'll probably post the finished product soon!
#traditional art#traditional artist#watercolor#watercolor art#sketch#sketches#art practice#anatomy practice#young artist#my artwork#my art#blueberrybanee#Watercolor is so hard but so fun lmfao It's kind of addictive#I also find it to be pretty therapeutic now that I know how to use it a lil better!#Still learning but It's fun!#Also very pleased that my skills seem to keep improving everyday <3 It definitely helps me stay determined to keep trying!#Don't give up on your passion! No matter how hard it may be! I believe that you can do it with enough practice!!! Keep going!!!#Also I seriously recommend watching Scott Christian Sava on YouTube if you're trying to learn watercolor! He's helped me so much!

The Subtle Art of Finding Joy in the Mundane
In the dizzying whirlwind of our modern lives, with its notifications, deadlines, and endless to-do lists, it's easy to overlook the little things. Our quest for big achievements, exotic vacations, and grand celebrations often overshadows the understated moments that make up our daily lives. Yet, there's a profound beauty and solace in the mundane, waiting to be discovered.
The Magic of Morning Rituals
Consider the simple act of brewing your morning coffee or tea. The aromatic scent that wafts through your kitchen, the warmth of the mug against your palms, and that first invigorating sip – it's a ritual that beckons a new day, filled with possibilities. It's not just about the caffeine kick, but the quiet moments we grant ourselves before the day's chaos ensues.
Nature's Everyday Theater
Look out of your window. Even if you're in the heart of a bustling city, nature is putting on a daily show. The radiant hues of a sunrise, the gentle rustle of leaves in the breeze, or even the rhythmic patter of rain against the windowpane. These are nature's gentle reminders of its cyclic rhythm, urging us to pause and sync our own rhythms with the world around us.
The Joy of Daily Tasks
Believe it or not, there's a meditative quality in mundane chores. The rhythmic act of washing dishes, the soft hum of a vacuum cleaner, or the therapeutic act of decluttering can be grounding experiences. They tether us to the present moment, offering a break from the incessant noise in our heads.
Conversations and Connections
Everyday joy is also about connections. A brief chat with a neighbor, a spontaneous phone call to a friend, or even the simple act of greeting your local grocery store cashier can forge bonds. It's in these fleeting interactions that we find a shared human experience.
Rediscovering Your Space
Sometimes, joy is about rediscovery. Re-read a favorite book, revisit old photographs, or rearrange your furniture. Familiar spaces and objects can offer new perspectives and insights when looked at with fresh eyes.
Wrapping Up
The art of finding joy in the mundane is essentially about shifting our perspective. It's about appreciating life's quiet moments and finding depth in simplicity. It's recognizing that while milestones and grand celebrations are significant, there's immeasurable joy to be found in the spaces in between.
In the words of novelist Alice Walker, "Expect nothing. Live frugally on surprise." Life's everyday surprises, no matter how small, are the threads that weave the beautiful tapestry of our existence. So, let's cherish them.
