Which means you'll have to request to join and get accepted by a moderator , which might make it harder for newer users to join because they look suspicious.

Sorry guys, but it might be the only way to limit the amount of bots.

I've seen a lot of people writing Danny as a space ancient and Dan and Dani as ghosts with moon and sun cores, being sort of parts, versions of Danny and therefore weaker. Now, consider: Dan and Dani are both powerful ghosts with really cool cores and stuff but Danny is just some guy™

Dan, who came from an alternate timeline and is kind of from the future but also not, is Clockwork's apprentice and will eventually become an ancient of time. He probably only agreed to have some lessons with Clockwork to understand better what happened to him, but he enjoys his apprenticeship now.

Dani, with her love of travelling, loves seeing all the different places the world offers to her, and that includes space and different planets and maybe even parallel universes, and she accidentally ends up being an apprentice of the space ancient. For now she's probably a baby ancient of freedom or something like that, but she might become an ancient of space in the future.

We can also have something like Dan having a core of destruction or Dani being the Speed Force if you want it to be dcxdp, or any headcanon of yours about their cool powers.

And then there's Danny. And yeah, everyone knows that he's super powerful, but also he's just some guy.

It can go different routes. Does everyone know that Danny is just Danny? Or do they think that with siblings (well, technically a clone and an alternate version, but whatever) so powerful, he must be even stronger? Is Danny actually something terrifyingly eldritch and ancient and strong, almost a god, but he just doesn't know himself? Or is he just really some guy?

Now, because it's obvious that I have a dcxdp brainrot, have a regular "JL summons/meets a powerful ghost" but its Dan and Dani, and they keep mentioning their original/brother who won a fight against them at some point. The JL is very concerned about Dan and Dani's godlike powers, and they can't imagine what Danny is like. And then they meet him (in his human form), and it's just a young adult in casual clothes, very friendly and helpful, with no evident powers. Imagine the confusion. Imagine Dan and Dani, radiating power, in their eldritch ghost forms, admitting that fighting Danny for real is the dumbest thing to do and not even they would succeed... And then there's Danny is jeans and silly t-shirt, waving shyly.

Tim doesn’t remember getting the call. He remembers the way his hands shook, though. Remembers the way the world stilled, the way the words—Danny’s gone—didn’t make sense in his head.

Danny Fenton wasn’t supposed to die. Not like this. Not alone in some basement, in a freak accident that no one saw coming. He was supposed to live. To be here.

To be his.

They were Tim and Danny, the campus couple, the ones who always had their hands tangled in each other’s jackets, who passed notes in physics class and made fun of each other’s handwriting. They were the ones people whispered about in the halls, the pair that would “probably get married someday.”

But there’s no someday now.

Tim will never be sixteen again, kissing his best friend before exams, laughing into the press of their lips because Danny was always so nervous before a test. He’ll never lean against Danny’s shoulder in the library, poking fun at his awful calculus notes, never sneak glances at him under cafeteria fluorescents, thinking God, I love him.

He will never get another sticky note left in his locker with barely legible handwriting that says, thinking of you. He will never sit across from Danny at some dingy coffee shop, listening to him complain about a lab report while stirring sugar into his tea. He will never hear Danny laugh so hard he snorts, never watch him roll his eyes but still lean in for a kiss anyway, no more whispered I love you against his temple before they part ways.

There won’t be any more Danny.

Tim is young, still. He knows this, logically. But he feels ancient. He feels hollow. Because the future is stretching out ahead of him, long and endless, and Danny isn’t in it.

And what’s the point of moving forward, if Danny isn’t there to meet him?

one of things that drive me insane about the grisha trilogy is the fact that nikolai consistently is a non-factor in the political calculations of both, the darkling and his father. even genya, whose job is to spy on the tsar's inner circle, is like "it's just nikolai, they call him puppy, he surprised everyone by joining the army and then left to study in kerch or something, who cares".

meanwhile nikolai in question:

was a major of the first army. a senior officer one rank away from colonel, and two ranks away from major-general!

was person no. 2 in his regiment, the one in charge of 2000+ men daily. and, considering how much colonel raevsky and his soldiers seem to love him, managed them well.

was a decorated war hero of the struggling nation perpetually at war with its neighbours.

what i mean is that there absolutely should have been the party of grand duke nikolai aleksandrovich at the court (re: the succession), opposing the party of tsarevich vasily, the official heir. the people who want him to be ravka's next tsar, bastardy allegations be damned for the good of the country.

it could have been such an easy way to explain why nikolai was exiled sent to study abroad — his military record would have made him too popular compared to his brother. and it could have explained why nikolai is so sure of himself in siege & storm: he already has his own political party, and alina throwing her support behind him simply completes the puzzle.

also, when tatiana called nikolai "puppy" in ruin &rising, i was like. m'am, hate to break the news to you, but your cute puppy hasn't been that for the last five or so years. by now he is actually a wolfhound with very long and very sharp teeth.

(very much not the point of that post, but when i find time to work on my pre-canon!darkolai fic series, i usually imagine the ravkan political landscape before alina as "the army party" (nikolai, the darkling, senior officers of both armies + probably some diplomats, who also see what's going on with shu-han and fjerda) vs "the court party". by the shadow & bone events, the first splits into nikolai's moderates & aleksander's radicals, and the latter became irrelevant after vasily's death.)
