Series Turf War Blog Post ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Series at War: Starz's Power ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ #TeamTommy ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Hello World!⠀ ⠀ ⠀ After a longer wait than any fan expected at the start of the final season of Starz's Power, we have finally arrived at the series finale and #thefinalbetrayal. And #TeamTommy couldn't be happier with how #thefinalbetrayal played out...I just wish I could say the same for the entire final episode and final 5 episodes that we were forced to wait for. But before I continue with #TeamTommy's final post, SPOILER ALERT!!! If you haven't seen the series finale of Power, STOP READING NOW!⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Alright, folks. I have mixed reviews regarding the Power series finale. While I ended the show with a series of rounds of applause for what transpired during the last 35-40 minutes of the episode, I felt like the first 50 minutes spent way too much time rehashing the last four episodes. But more importantly, I couldn't wrap my mind around the fact that both Paz and Tate got their own 1-hour episodes (Dre and Tommy's 1-hour episodes were well-deserved), but TASHA and TARIQ split a 90-minute series finale that spent the first half of the episode rehashing everything we already knew??? While I was happy to see the entire cast one last time, the number of new nuggets dropped during that time didn't warrant the need to make us sit through 50 minutes of redundant television during the series finale of one of our favorite shows. However, the last act of the show was worth waiting for and well-worth everything that preceded the wait.⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Earlier on in the season, #TeamTommy commented that Tariq was the New Ghost. So seeing Tariq prove #TeamTommy right (and proud!) during the series finale last night validated #TeamTommy's assumption. But the scene before #thefinalbetrayal when the ghost of Kanan gives Tariq the pep-talk needed to get the job done was EPIC and the start of my series of rounds of applause!!! However, this #SeriesTurfWar wasn't about Tariq versus Ghost, it was about Ghost versus Tommy. So, it's time for #TeamTommy's verdict on who won.⠀ ⠀ Cont. "Just a girl from Brooklyn with a billboard in Times Square!"

LaLa Anthony was over the moon when she pulled up to Times Square and saw her face on a billboard as promo for the last and final season of "Power."

"OMG! I wanna to cry. This is crazy...Times Square," she gushed in her IG Stories video as she panned across her huge billboard in the Big Apple. "I really feel like I'm about to cry!"

Her son Kiyan Anthony, who she shares with her husband Carmelo Anthony, was also in the mix to celebrate with his mom:

Aww! It's a bittersweet moment with the STARZ series ending. It's nice to see La smiling after Melo's yacht drama though.

The sixth and final season of “Power” will go down in two parts. The 10-episode Part I will debut Sunday, August 25th. Part II, which will consist of the final five episodes, will debut in January.

STARZ will also air “Power Confidential,” an exclusive after-show airing immediately after each new episode. We'll get the most memorable and jaw-dropping moments from that week’s episode, BTS sccess and what's to come. The cast and creators of “Power” will be joined by celebrity fans and surprise guests.

Also, Mary J. Blige is set to flex her acting skills as the star of 50 Cent's upcoming spinoff, "Power Book II: Ghost."
