I wanna introduce y'all to an oc/story concept I've had for a while now.

Oc created using the "Bright's Picrew Hell" since I am terrible at drawing.

Basically its a parody and deconstruction of an Isekai story - aka "character is teleported/reincarnated into another world" (for example KonoSuba, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, Digimon etc.)

The main character of this idea is Sekai Ishida; a gloomy shut-in with cerebral palsy and spinal bifida who's dealing with having aged out of the foster system and finding supports for his disability. Sekai was minding his own business going to career training when;

Sekai, being physically disabled, is unable to climb out of the way of a speeding subway car when he stumbles (or was tripped) onto the tracks. He closes his eyes.

He awakens to find himself dumped through a portal to a magical fantasy world.

When the many gods greeting him in the space between worlds ask him if he wishes for a boon to bring with him into this new life; Sekai impulsively replies "Give me back my crutches."

Well shit now he's just some Japanese guy with severe mobility issues in a dnd-inspired medieval kingdom with no fighting experience or magical add-on. What's a guy to do?

Wormwood; an Aberrant demon looking for a host: "

Wormwood: "Hey you wanna-" Sekai, already fed-up: "Whatever, sure." (*shakes hand*) Wormwood: "Damn, ok. Didn't even need a sales pitch." Workwood: (*painfully merges into Sekai's body*) Wormwood: "...damn bitch, you live like this?" Sekai: "Yeah." Wormwood: "I can't even look into parts of your brain." Sekai: "Yeah those don't work." Wormwood: "Screw this, I'm finding another off-worlder for my plans." (*nothing happens*) Wormwood: "...why can't I leave?" Sekai: "HAH! You're trapped in here with me!" Wormwood, tentacles waving frantically: "I can't even move your legs!" Sekai, gestures to crutches, laughing manically: "Neither can I!" Wormwood: "You are evil."

So now Sekai has one thing going for him; an inky symbiote-esque demon thats trapped in his body that's pretty keen on keeping Sekai alive. For now.

Also, you know how the demon mentioned "off-worlders"?

Yeah. Sekai isn't the only one.

It's a frequent phenomena in the magical kingdom, to the point that there are new laws in place to deal with people that fall through.

Notably:

Report immediately to the King.

Surrender all technology and/or organics to the crown.

Any accompanying animals will be quarantined or destroyed.

If it looks like nothing fell out of a portal hole - no it didn't. Evacuate the area immediately.

Off-Worlders should avoid making deals with spirit and/or demons, as they are an untapped source of raw magical life force (Sekai: "Oops"), and can cause the world around them to glitch and break down since they're essentially aliens.

Its not always human either. Dogs, cats, birds, and trilobites frequently wander/fall in. Imagine the utter terror of villagers used to dragon when they see a saltwater crocodile for the first time.

It's not always humans or organic things that fall in though. Like in Digimon where a subway car or a fridge full of eggs would randomly glitch in.

The ultimate common denominator is people and things that have experienced "glitches in the matrix"-style disappearances and have just... disappeared back in their home time/dimension. Oh yeah, people from completely different cultures and universes can fall through too.

Sekai (and his tag-along wormwood) occassionally fall into other universes due to Wormwood's own research into interdimensional travel. It was the very reason he sought out a host - someone proven to be able to handle the trip. Sekai hates this. HATES THIS. Let him have junk food and video games again!

What if Hanaki disease could be caused by unrequited platonic and familial love as well as romantic?

For example, the seventeen months that Ichigo Kurosaki spent alone and abandoned by his friends and family after the Winter War. They all basically abandoned him, but he wouldn't have just given up on his love for them; he's loyal like that. At least once, he had to think: ‘do they no longer care about me?’ but he's still the same Ichigo who invaded Soul Society for a girl he had known for three months.

So what if Ichigo got Hanaki disease from all the friends and family who abandoned him?

“Hey.” Yamato softens his tone, and out of instinct, tilts Takeru’s chin to study him again. Now that the light’s on, he can see just how exhausted Takeru truly looks, with bags under his eyes and a light flush on his cheeks. “We can still hang out when you’re feeling better. But I’m not dragging you out and about if you’ve got a fever—it’s against older brother code.”

“There’s not a code,” Takeru says, and it’s more of a mumble this time. A sign of a defeat.

“There is too a code.”

“...are you gonna leave, then? Since I’m too sick to hang out?”

It’s heartbreaking, the way Takeru’s tone changes. He’s sixteen, but he sounds ten years younger, now, all in a moment. Something in Yamato’s chest—something rotten, something old, long forgotten—suddenly surfaces, and the way it makes his heart ache is all too familiar.

(Why had Hikari known that Takeru was sick, but not Yamato? What did she mean still? How long has he been sick? So many questions to which he doesn’t know the answer.)

“Of course not,” he tells him. “It’s the first. And my little brother is sick, so it’s my job to take care of him.”

I was talking to a friend of mine today and we found the PERFECT explanation of WHY the Digital World will collapse soon again. And all goes down to TAICHI AND YAMATO! (Again...)

Here are the rules for the Jogress Shinka: It cannot be male and female, only male and male, or female and female! Right? Right. AND it cannot be a FAMILY THING! No Taichi and Hikari, and no Takeru and Yamato. Right? Right.

BUT! THE PROBLEM IS: If... Takeru and Hikari start dating, Yamato and Taichi will be in-laws. THEN, BOOM! COLLAPSE! A FAMILY BUSINESS? NO WAY! BOOM, CATASTROPHE, THEY BROKE THE DIGITAL WORLD!?! NO!

Is this forbidden love? NO! IT'S PERFECT BALANCE BECAUSE WHERE IS LOVE, IS ALSO CAOS!

My Commentary: This small but significant sequence takes place not long after Koushiro is revealed to be a canon Adoptee. Mrs. Izumi is fully aware that Koushiro has accepted Mrs. Izumi (+Izumis both) as Koushiro's true parent{s}, however, we are not given indication that the other supporting characters were actually told about 'the secret' of Koushiro's. Shin's surprise, in that regard, can hardly be held too much against Shin - which Mrs. Izumi eventually quickly recognizes, dropping the argument and frustration - Shin was likely completely unaware how strongly Mrs. Izumi felt during these moments, while Mrs. Izumi was likely running on pure adrenaline responding!

Mrs. Izumi, in the original version, is also using a neutrally polite speech pattern that is overall appropriate when speaking to children; Koushiro, in the original, is also known for speaking throughout the entire series with a formal and polite pattern that is "unusual" for Koushiro's age, while it's more "typical" for Mrs. Izumi to use similar in this sequence.

Shin Kido, Jou's 2nd eldest sibling closer in age, the 2nd born of the three Kidos, is the sibling who appears throughout Adventure Episodes 35~39 and later Adventure-specific episodes (such as flashback sequence in Dark Masters arc) specifically. In the 2nd sequel series, "02", Jou's oldest sibling, Shuu, was introduced. The U. S. dub combined "Shin" and "Shuu" into "Jim", a singular character, but they were actually two separate siblings! (Thus, Jou is speaking to Shin as if Shin is the younger of the two siblings, addressing Shin commonly with a 'casual' "Nii-san", though in this scene, Jou sounds surprisingly more 'assured' and perhaps a slight bit 'full of' self, but is quickly grounded by Sora and Mimi not long after.)

I've said for a while that the only reason I was still following Sinfest is that I was waiting for Tats to literally say "Jews" instead of couching it. But now he's depicting Mexicans as a horde of rapists being invited into the country to rape our women by a (((woke))), in a strip called "Pimp of the Nation"

Which in this context seem, I dunno, evocative?

Obviously, Sinfest has been unsubtly racist for years, but I feel like this is the peak. I don't think the mask is going to come off any harder than this. Sinfest has reached its final form, and no more evolution is coming.

okay I feel like the Ishimaru family would own alot of pets. But I feel like it's mostly retired k9's.

Heres what I think they would be

Like the Ishimaru family is scary enough having two people who kill(Maki Peko) a lunatic who creates explosives(Kiyondo) and a two kids one who looks like they will kill you but wont(Gonta) and one who looks like a nice grandma but will break your bones(Kirumi) and Kiyotaka probably has a a bunch of dirt on people and will probably use it. BUT!

Imagine being a robber and the first thing you see are these dogs.
