Natsume Yuujinchou (episode 6)
Honestly, the ending of the episode was super touching! I was kinda wondering how it would go and it was very pleasant - which is a relief based on how everyone who mentions it says it's a heart warming show. Thank you for the recommendation of the episode!!

chapter 3: the bizarre disappearance of the pizza dog at night-time
Chapter summary: In which Kate has an interesting phone call with Yelena, becomes an entrepreneur of sorts, and reads some emails.
Fic summary:
Over the two years that follow her mother’s arrest, Kate Bishop finishes college without fanfare, gets started in the private investigator business, and becomes pretty good at the vigilante thing. No matter what Clint says, she is by far—and by process of elimination—the Hawkeye with the best handle of her life. Of course, that only lasts so long when juggling a long distance situationship with a Russian assassin, an internship for a superpowered detective with a terrible work-life balance, and trying to solve the disappearance of one William Kaplan.
MCU (Agatha All Along & Hawkeye) I ao3 I 10k I chapter 3/12 I bishova I detective au, friends to lovers, canon compliant

Where the West Begins
29. Jolene
Jim had led them to a restaurant and it was a happy group that sat around the table. McCoy was settled between Scotty and Chekov. The meal was good, but it wasn’t anything like Christine and Uhura’s cooking.
“How do you think it’s going at home?” Sulu asked.
“I’m sure Jaylah is handling everything capably with Keenser’s help,” said Spock.
“Of course she is!” Chekov said emphatically.
McCoy kept a smile off his face, but shared a quick glance with Sulu.
“It’s nice to have an evening in such a place once in a while,” Scotty said, bumping his knee against McCoy’s under the table.
“Lots of fancy ladies to look at,” Jim grinned.
“Look all you want kid, we know where your heart is,” McCoy said with a raise of his eyebrow.
Scotty and Sulu chuckled, while a hint of color climbed Spock’s face. While Jim had admitted to McCoy that he and Spock were together, neither had said anything to the rest of the ranch crew, though everyone assumed as much.
As Jim took care of the bill, everyone made ready to leave, standing up and pushing in chairs. Listening to Scotty joke with Sulu, McCoy’s blood turned to ice as a voice behind him spoke.
“Lenny?”
He stopped breathing, rooted to the spot, not wanting to turn around and face the past.
A hand touched his arm. Delicate fingers covered in a pale pink lace glove.
“Lenny?” The voice was sweet and light, but McCoy knew the poison it could hold.
With his heart pounding loudly in his ears he turned.
“I thought that was you!” A bright face, trying too hard to be youthful was standing in front of him.
McCoy couldn’t find any words. He had never wanted to see that face or hear that voice ever again.
“What are you doing out here Lenny?”
“Jocelyn?” he finally managed. Beside him he sensed Scotty stiffen.
“You’re a long way from home,” Jocelyn said, still smiling at him.
“So- so are you,” McCoy bit out, trying his hardest to be polite and not yell at the woman who had reached into his chest and ripped out his heart.
“Clay and I are moving to California,” Jocelyn replied, just a hint of a defiant look in her eye. “He’s taken a spot with one of the biggest firms out there.”
“That so?” McCoy couldn’t help himself and began to scan the room for the man who had supposedly been his good friend. In a far corner a man raised a hand. McCoy gave a curt nod back.
“You’re the last person I expected to see out here,” Jocelyn continued, looking McCoy up and down. Her nose scrunched a small bit.
“Same,” McCoy said, holding back from snapping the word.
“We’re all set,” Jim said behind McCoy. “Let’s get going? Oh.”
“It’s fine kid, I’ll be a minute,” McCoy said over his shoulder.
“Ok,” Jim said slowly.
“Leonard?” Scotty said tentatively next to him.
“It’s alright Monty,” McCoy told him, not taking his eyes from Jocelyn. He couldn’t help but note she was as fashionable as she always was, but somehow now it was in a showy way, as if she wanted everyone to notice her. When McCoy had fallen in love with her she had been the prettiest girl in town because she had seemed unaware of her beauty.
“Still a doctor Lenny?” Jocelyn asked.
“Yes, some.”
“Oh.”
“What?” McCoy demanded.
“You aren’t much dressed like you used to be.” Jocelyn raised an eyebrow and even though she was shorter than him by quite a bit, he knew she was looking down at him.
“Well, my patients aren’t big time crooks anymore who call themselves lawyers. I don’t have to be all gussied up.”
Jocelyn’s smile stayed on her face, but McCoy could see how it had become a scowl.
“I do honest work that I’m proud of,” he continued before she could say anymore. He straightened and squared his shoulders. “Tell Clay hello. Enjoy California, I’ll be glad to never see you again.”
He turned to begin walking away.
“What a mistake you were,” Jocelyn called at his back. “I married him the second you signed the papers and he’s done more than you ever will.”
McCoy’s hands curled into fists, but he forced himself to keep walking. He would not take her bait and turn around. Outside the restaurant, Scotty was waiting for him.
“The others headed back to camp,” Scotty said quietly as he fell in step next to McCoy.
McCoy gave a grunt as a response, still too angry with his thoughts roiling.
“If ye want to talk…” Scotty trailed off. He didn’t say anymore, just walked beside McCoy.
Somehow, McCoy found that soothing. Scotty didn’t expect anything from him, just offered himself if McCoy needed. Jocelyn had always wanted him to tell her everything, and he had shut himself down to simple answers. But Scotty…
McCoy looked over at the man beside, face lit by the lights of the city. His anger began to melt away. Here was someone who appreciated him for who he actually was.
“Thanks,” he whispered.
“Of course mo ghràdh.”

fudou kiss sada :3
[ Dare my muse to kiss someone ]
Fudou can't lie.
Sometimes Sada is annoying.
He can be loud, he can be persistent, he can be just... so, so happy, so much of the time, and perhaps most annoying of all... he just cares.
It's been a rough day for Fudou. Another spat with Hasebe, leading to a frustrated sparring match with Urashima, replete with mistakes and slips.
Sometimes he can drink himself into enough of a daze that he doesn't notice the way other people look at him, full of what he perceives to be dismay, doubt, disparagement, disappointment... But today isn't one of those days. He left the sparring session defeated by more than just Urashima's show of skill, and he'd last been seen dashing off to his room.
He didn't show up to the dining hall, and Sada had gotten worried.
"Fudou... you really should come eat," he insists, sitting next to where Fudou was leaning against the wall. "You can sit with me, Kara-chan, Micchan, and Tsuru-san if you want. You know we'd love to have you...!"
"I'm not hungry," Fudou snaps, then closes his eyes to mentally chide himself. "I'm sorry. I'm just... I think I'm just gonna hang out in here tonight. Maybe go to bed early."
"Aww... but..." Sada reaches over to rub Fudou's arm in what he hopes is a comforting, encouraging gesture. "You shouldn't go to sleep on an empty stomach. What if I brought you something? I could eat with you, or..."
Fudou just shakes his head.
Now Sada starts jostling him a little by the arm. "Fuuuudou-chan," he whines. "C'mon, please?"
"Ugh, no--"
Fudou had turned to glare at Sada, ready to try and dissuade him again, but... he can't help but just stare into those big, honey-colored eyes.
Both tantou fall quiet, and Fudou feels his heart skip a beat in a way that he's quite sure isn't a side effect from his tipsiness.
With neither thought nor warning, Fudou leans over and presses his lips to Fudou's.
It's quick, though, as almost as quickly as he does so, he pulls back, and makes to scoot away.
"Fuck-- sorry, I--"
"Fudou," Sada says softly, the hand on his arm holding a bit more firmly. He's smiling brightly as usual, but it's a bit subdued. "It's alright."
Fudou isn't sure he's ever seen the Taikogane Sadamune look anything akin to shy, but with the way he's blushing, he thinks maybe he does right now. It seems like he might say something more, but instead, he simply leans over to kiss him again. It's soft, and lingers for a bit longer than their first kiss had lasted.
"I've... been wondering when we might do something like that," Sada admits, linking his arm with Fudou's and hugging it tightly.
"Wh--"
"I'll tell you more about it, too-- if you eat." Sada hops up, grinning yet again, and moving to the door. "I'll bring dinner back, and we can talk. Okay?"
Sada doesn't wait for an answer, and is out the door.
Fudou can only just wait there for him, bewildered, blushing, and... perhaps a little excited.

"I have a wife....who is in love with you, and affection for you seems to me so well justified that I can’t oppose myself to that sentiment of hers" and "Tell her (if you have not made a mistake, & offered your own love instead of hers to me) that I have a heart susceptible of the tenderest passion"
Is so Espionage Husbands-core. I mean Talos reminding Nick that Soren loved him was sort of odd (I will allow for the fact that she's recently dead, that makes it a little different), but recontextualizing it like this kinda makes it more intriguing....Also it's catnip to my Espionage Husbands brain.

there is something really truly validating about researching something you've been struggling with and very timidly approaching a friend who you know has that particular disorder like "i don't mean to encroach or make a bigger deal out of this than it is... but..." and they're like "Oh you for sure have this. no doubt. it is so obvious from the everything about you and also exactly what you are describing. here's what to do next" .... it's like fresh air after holding your breath
