recently watched a handful of episodes of Supernatural and im kinda impressed with Dean's steadfast belief that all monsters are monsters and can't be redeemed.

Every show/movie I have ever seen that had two male best friends have a fall out or argument or whatever, it has never ever been this.

IDGAF what deniers want to argue, this is NOT a platonic scene. The dialogue, tone, acting choices, direction, are NOT platonically based.

Sorry, but NOPE.

That entire conversation was coded as two lovers who were in a tense situation that was affecting their relationship. One was hangdog and apologetic. The other was hurt and angry.

One was trying to show worthiness to the relationship. The other fighting worry and hurt feelings.

This is NOT a platonic scene and the writers and director designed it not to be.

I bet there was SO MUCH of dean's reaction that we didn't get to see. because they didn't want us to read it the way it had to be read.

and jensen probably has it in his phone and he's never even said anything because he couldn't didn't want to draw attention from misha's incredible performance and the meaning that the scene had on its own, even without dean reciprocating (because it's still SO IMPORTANT)
