we watched “the winchester tapes” today and honestly, hawkeye is kind of a cutie in that whole episode? like yes, he’s planning to go off to have (insinuated) lots of sex with a beautiful woman but every time he talks about her it’s about how funny and witty and great she is, and even the more out there stuff (her voice would make nightingales go out of business etc) is more poetic than coarse 

and then he’s so sleepy after constantly having to work that he can’t go anyway, and klinger tucks him in, sweet little boy

also x amount of time ago I was mentioning that it seems hawkeye has a limit of sleeping with married women, with two notable exceptions (carlye and margaret) which are very much With Context

and at the time I was like “it’s only really mentioned twice” -- once with erika and once in a more jokey manner with the nurse whose toenails he’s painting (i don’t see a ring on any of your toes) but now we have a third little kind-of example, although we’re going further into murky territory, because she was “engaged” rather than “married” (and he has slept with engaged women before), but still he’s pleased to see her now “disengaged” so he finally has a chance with her- also she reaches out to him? i have questions about how close they may have gotten while she was there.... this could also very much just be because she reaches out to him, still, he makes a point of telling bj that she is no longer engaged

i wonder if a closer watch could put this in a post-bj arrival timeline? of course bj does make a couple of mistakes of some kind or other, but overall hawkeye sees him as the Grand example of fidelity to which other men can only hope to aspire

i’m sure there’ll be an example somewhere later down that disputes this, but until then, hawkeye and possibly hard line about whom to have sex with... an interesting little thing to think about

recently watched a handful of episodes of Supernatural and im kinda impressed with Dean's steadfast belief that all monsters are monsters and can't be redeemed.

With that in mind... there could be some VERY angsty Danny Phantom crossovers with that as the main premise

Every show/movie I have ever seen that had two male best friends have a fall out or argument or whatever, it has never ever been this.

IDGAF what deniers want to argue, this is NOT a platonic scene. The dialogue, tone, acting choices, direction, are NOT platonically based.

Sorry, but NOPE.

That entire conversation was coded as two lovers who were in a tense situation that was affecting their relationship. One was hangdog and apologetic. The other was hurt and angry.

One was trying to show worthiness to the relationship. The other fighting worry and hurt feelings.

This is NOT a platonic scene and the writers and director designed it not to be.

I bet there was SO MUCH of dean's reaction that we didn't get to see. because they didn't want us to read it the way it had to be read.

and jensen probably has it in his phone and he's never even said anything because he couldn't didn't want to draw attention from misha's incredible performance and the meaning that the scene had on its own, even without dean reciprocating (because it's still SO IMPORTANT)
