‘FAMILY’ REUNION
Douma, Akaza, Kokushibo
In which Y/n sees everyone again after a long time. Based on the scene in the infinity castle. Fem! Reader
cw: nothing really, our boys here have a soft spot for y/n, suggestive if you squint really hard, reader is upper rank 2 and everyone else is pushed down a rank except for Kokushibo
850 words
"Where's my Y/n-chan~", Douma whined, looking around the infinity castle.
"Your Y/n?", Akaza clicked his tongue. "She doesn't even like you".
Gyokko nodded to the corner. "She's over there taking a damn nap", he shook his head at her hopelessness. "Upper rank two my ass".
Douma looked at where Gyokko was nodding towards where he saw Y/n, who was sleeping in a fetal position with her hands tucked against her chest.
Douma snickered with a hand up to his mouth. "I know what'll wake her up!".
The blondie approached her and squatted down.
His hand gripped her jaw, gently squeezing her cheeks which caused her mouth to fall open.
He proceeded use his index and middle finger to prod her mouth open before sliding them into her mouth.
Douma giggled as Y/n furrowed her brow as he stuck them all the way to the back of her mouth.
Once Y/n felt his sharp nails graze her throat, he eyes fell wide open, only to be met with Douma's sultry smirk that she knew all to well flashing down at her.
Y/n bit down hard on his two fingers. Really hard. To the point where she bit them off.
"Ouch Y/nn!", Douma frowned albeit his fingers regenerating immediately after.
Y/n sat up and let out a yawn before observing her surroundings. Everyone was here now except Muzan. She stretched her arms up, making her kimono fall off her shoulders a bit.
"You're so mean to me!", Douma sulked.
"Oh my sincerest apologies lord Douma!", she exclaimed, standing up and clasping her two hands together. "I'm not sure what came over me, but I should know my place", she inched towards the man, her chest against his and her eyes locked on his own, a pleading look plastered on her face while Douma looked down at her in amusement.
"I'd do anything for your forgiveness!", a grin slowly grew on her lips as she relaxed her eyebrows. "...Is what you would've wanted me to say, right?".
She laughed and backed away from him, the fact that his smug look was still plastered on his face annoyed her. "I'll leave that to your cult members".
Douma narrowed his eyes. "Got quite a mouth on you, don't you? Someone should teach you what to do with it".
Gyokko scoffed. "I can't even tell if they're flirting or arguing".
Y/n decided it was best to ignore Douma's comment and her eyes brightened upon seeing Akaza.
She enveloped him into a hug that made him unsteady on his feet, a blush immediately coating the apples of his cheeks.
"Akaza! Long time no see”.
Douma folded his arms childishly as Akaza looked at him with an overconfident, smug look as he spat his tongue out. Everyone knew Akaza was her favourite.
Despite this, poor Akaza was still weak to the touch of any woman.
“Oh yeah, I got you a present”, Y/n reached into her kimono, Akaza averting his gaze at anything else he could find.
She lifted his arm from his side and opened up his palm, placing the box into his hand.
“Open it! Open it!”.
When he did just that, he blinked at her. It was a hairpin.
“Are you sure this is for me?”, he sweatdropped.
“Of course it is! It goes with your hair colour so I got it for you”, she took it out of the box and stuck it in his hair.
Akaza smiled sweetly moving to stand behind her smaller figure. He took the hairpin out of his hair and put it in hers.
“I appreciate it but I believe it’ll look better on you”.
“Aw but lord Akaza, it suits you! It really brought out your eyes too~”, Douma burst out into laughter, holding his stomach.
“Don’t piss me off”, Akaza seethed between his clenched teeth. Suddenly, Douma’s bottom part of his face was destroyed by Akaza’s fist.
Douma smiled as his face regenerated. “Whoa! That was some punch! A bit stronger than before, would you say, lord Akaza?”.
*splat*
The same fist Akaza used to hit Douma was severed by Kokushibo.
“Akaza”, he spoke. “You always go too far”.
“lord Kokushibo!”, Y/n bounced happily around him.
Kokushibo turned his head to her and brought his hands up to her chest, fixing her kimono so that it was up over her shoulders again.
“You shouldn’t let your kimono slip down like that, you’re a lady”.
She placed her hands on her hips. “Alright dad”, she mocked before smiling again.
“Aw it’s like a family reunion seeing all of you again!”.
“W-where have you been all this time?”, Hantengu asked.
Y/n hopped onto Kokushibo’s shoulders, patting his head which took the demon’s by surprise at the fact that he was allowing it.
“It’s a secret”, she brought a finger up to her lips.
It was evident that Muzan had arrived when Kokushibo lifted Y/n down and teleported back to where he was sitting originally.
“Family reunion over!”.

Maomao's Dislike of Jinshi
So I've been watching Apothecary Diaries and I think people are missing out on the root cause of why Maomao doesn't like Jinshi's interactions with her. It's not because he's too pretty, of high standing, or because she thinks he's annoying/etc., as they're just parts that make up the actual root cause. It's because she knows he's being fake.
Jinshi, because of who he is, where he lives, and how he was raised, covers up his true intentions almost constantly. That was how he trapped Maomao and singled her out as the one who warned Concubine Gyokuyou, after all. The premise to get all the servants in the room, the note telling her to stay put, and making her come with him without telling her where they were going? He let her worry that she was in trouble, so to keep her off-balance when he introduced her to Gyokuyou and also had kept her note to keep her pinned in a corner so she would have to comply with what he and Gyokuyou wanted.
Maomao prefers working with honest people. It's why she never wanted to ascend into the ranks where court politics were a constant presence, because in court politics, you have to assume most people are lying to you on some level. That's why she likes Gyokuyou; Gyokuyou has a similar mentality about the importance of honesty in the people around her and she reciprocates that honesty with the select people she lets her walls down around. When Jinshi is flirting or being super sweet to someone, Maomao knows he's often not being sincere, so when he flirts or acts all sweet with her, she's not going to believe in the sincerity of it because it's dangerous for her if he's not being sincere.
In Maomao's world, a man who makes false promises will not have severe consequences for his actions, unlike the women who fall for them. Growing up where she did and doing the work she did, Maomao knows exactly what kind of damage someone else's lies can bring to someone else who got caught in them. Maomao is not blind to the ugly truths of the world around her, unlike many her age, so interacting with Jinshi, someone who is usually some level of false in almost every encounter with her, is frustrating to her and he won't leave her alone. Lies are a form of poison themselves as they deteriorate a person's life and relationships and if not caught, can lead someone to their death or a fate akin to death, but unlike physical toxins, Maomao can't fix any damage from that kind of societal poison. As someone who wants a lowkey and unremarkable life because it's more peaceful, Jinshi could damage her goals with his falsehoods if she falls for any of them.
And we see that when Jinshi is actually honest about himself and his feelings with her, she treats him better. When he gives her his hairpin, when he's hugging her and crying because of what happened with Ah-Duo, and when he's at the Verdigris House, drowning his sorrows over letting Maomao go from the Rear Palace, Maomao is kinder to him and doesn't look at him with the immediate disdain and suspicion she often throws his way. Maomao even states she prefers the Jinshi, who is more childlike and bratty, which is something we see Gaoshun constantly discourage when Jinshi has those moments where his mask breaks. But in those moments, he's being honest.
For the position of Maomao's love interest, Jinshi's already got one foot ahead of any other guy around Maomao, as he is willing to let Maomao have more freedom in her special interests and gives her things and access to areas that play into her interests, like her dad does, which is more than most men in her society would ever allow. The only reason he actively goes against her toying with poison is he knows exactly what she's going to do with the poisons. But his main hinderance to getting Maomao to like him back is the training of being two-faced that's been ingrained into him for his survival in court. If he was more honest with her, rather than hiding himself under the veneer of a pretty man who is sweet, gets along with everyone, and keeps his knowledge close to the chest, he'd do so much better in earning Maomao's respect and affection.

idk if you’ve done a request like this before but maybe roan (sweetest girl ever) gets moody and says something mean or does something mean to reader and maybe reader gets really sad over it and eddie helps roan apologize or make it better?
thank you you for your request! eddie and roan. fem!reader, 2k
Roan's hair is softer than her father's but twice as unruly. You hum and haw over what to do with it —she wants it out of her face because the weather is so, so hot today, your hands clammy even now, but lately she's complained about hairpin headaches.
"Ready for brushing?" you ask.
"No." Roan squirms in your lap. "Can you just put it up, please?"
You nibble your bottom lip. You don't necessarily need to brush it, she's not going anywhere. She's lovely with or without neat hair, but…
"I don't want it to get matted," you say, almost to yourself rather than her.
"I want to go play," Roan whines.
You don't wince at her derision nor her impatience. She and her handsome father are the people you love most in the world, and to be able to do that, you've had to adapt to how children react. They can't control their bad moods with half the expertise of adults (though some of the adults you know can't do it, either). They need wiggle room.
And affection, undoubtedly.
You stroke her hair back from her face. She jerks away from your touch.
"Ro, I'm sorry," you say, in an attempt to assuage her unhappiness. Her fuse can be rather short. You'll all be happier if you can snub this flame before she has a meltdown. "I'm just trying to think of how best to do this, that's all. Can you give me a second?"
Hair up? Clips out of her face? You know she's not in the best mood, and sometimes elaborate hairstyles make her feel better, but you can tell what she wants now is to be by herself with her dolls in the cool breeze of her standing fan. Simple ponytail, you decide. You and Eddie will just have to deal with any knots that happen when they happen–
"You're not good at hair, I should've asked dad," Roan declares, jumping off of your lap.
You're startled, with barely the wits to say, "Hey, don't be like that, honey, I can do it–"
"No, you can't do it." She snatches the hairbrush from you and turns the other way. "Dad will do it faster."
"Hey," Eddie says, as though summoned by her mention. He stands in the doorway to the living room, a familiar yet foreign look on his face as he towel dries his wet hands. "Why are we talking to each other that way?"
"Because she's slow!" Roan says, agitated, hands in fists at her sides.
"Hey, no. I don't know why you're feeling unhappy, but being mean isn't going to make it go away. You don't talk to people like that, especially Y/N," Eddie says. His dark, thick brows furrow with frustration.
Roan visibly gets more upset.
"You want to go have five minutes?" Eddie asks her.
She throws her hairbrush on the floor and pushes past his legs, her footsteps like pangs of thunder as she stomps up the stairs. "Ugh!" she shouts.
Eddie frowns at her as she goes but doesn't call anything more. You clasp the back of the couch in unsteady hands, a weird, strangling pressure wrapped around your throat like a hand. Your sides ache at your twisted position.
Eddie, to his credit, isn't mad. He toes aside the thrown hairbrush with a confused pout. "What the hell just happened?" he asks.
You're not sure. Roan's not happy because she's overwhelmed by the inescapable heat of summer, her TV volume is stuck slightly too loud at 27, and she didn't like the broccoli Eddie asked her to eat at lunch. Your slow hairstyling was the last straw, evidently.
It hurts to have her angry at you. Hurts that she thinks you aren't measuring up to her father.
You rub your eyes. "My fault. Couldn't get the brush through her hair 'n' took too long putting it up."
Eddie lights up. You used to think it was theatrical, how he performs his affection, but the longer you know him, the clearer it becomes that he's just a dramatic guy. He sidles up to the couch and takes your face into both hands.
"Not your fault," he says gently. Then, with more gusto, "She's grumpy, I'm sorry she took it out on you."
You try to play up to his bravado and find your own performance falling flat. "Yeah."
His thumbs draw soft lines on your cheeks. You really like coparenting with him (though it feels a little weird to put it that way, and also very right) but in moments like this, you remember how much you love being his partner. How much you want him to kiss you and think you're pretty and smart and perfect. Eddie kisses the top of your head and gives you a hug over the couch, squeezing the tops of your shoulders, your face pressed to his neck.
"It's not a big deal," you say.
"No, it is. She's not having a good day, but I don't want her to be someone who takes it out on other people." He drops his lips to your forehead. "I'll go talk to her in a bit. Try not to take it personally, sweetheart. She knows how much you love her 'n' she knows she can be unreasonable with you like she is with me and Wayne. Blessing and a curse."
You're reassured by the idea. Roan's showing off with you because she knows you're not going anywhere. She's moody and you'd been the first one to make a mistake with her today.
"I'm good at hair," you say unsurely.
"You're great. Me and Ro have looked like a pair of Abercrombie models since we met you," he praises.
"Think she's gonna be mad at me all day?" you ask.
"Babe, you're mad at her."
"I'm not," you say.
"You're supposed to be." He gives your shoulder a rough rub. "I'm gonna go talk to her. Don't be upset, yeah? You're amazing."
You accept a clumsy forehead kiss.
Eddie leaves to soothe Roan's mood. You can imagine it now, his hip propped on the door jam, his unimpressed but patient look. You know we can't talk to each other like that, Ro. Even if we're not feeling good, we have to try to be nice. Do you know what's making you grumpy? Can I fix it for you?
It's easy to guess what he's saying because you've heard it all before. He's a good dad. He might not always feel that way, but he is.
You're not worried about Roan in any grand sense. She'll be okay. You're scared that what she said is true —you're not as good as Eddie at doing her hair. You're not as good as him at lots of things.
You feel inferior to Eddie often as a parent. It's a given, considering that he's her primary caregiver, and has been since the day she was born. That's years of bonding and love you can't touch (wouldn't want to touch, really, wouldn't ever want to change how it happened at risk of messing up what you have now). You're not even really her official stepmom yet.
What if Roan loved you because she was too young to know better? What if you're not good enough to take care of her?
Little footsteps drag down the stairs, followed by louder ones. You sniff and wipe the stressed tears that had been collecting in your eyes away, relieved to see Roan looking a little less enraged in the door. Eddie gives you a startled look at your expression, for which you can only offer a small smile.
Roan doesn't mind the walk, standing in front of you where you're still sitting on the couch with ease. She glances at your lap where you clutch her hair ties in both hands, rubbing her own together guiltily.
"Hi," you say hopefully.
Roan looks at Eddie. You watch him nod from the corner of your eye.
"I'm really sorry," Roan says. "For being mean."
"That's okay," you say, holding your hand palm up atop your thigh, just in case.
"Dad said you'd say that, but…" She eyes up your hand. You push it forward, and when she takes it, you draw an encouraging circle into her skin. "'Cus you love me, you don't get angry, but…"
"What did you tell me, sweetheart? You can tell her. It's okay," Eddie prompts.
Roan looks up. Brown eyes wide but soft brows pinched together unsurely, she says, "I didn't mean that you do hair badly. Please don't stop doing my hair, and kissing my cheek in the morning. Um, and playing dress up with me."
"I'm not gonna stop doing those things," you say softly. Internally, you're relieved. "I love doing those things."
"Roan shouldn't have been mean," Eddie interjects. "Right?"
"No, but she was having a bad day," you say, giving her hand a little swing. "Yeah? That's okay. I have bad days too, and I say things I wish I didn't."
Roan looks uneasy. "You're not mad at me?"
"Do you want me to be?" you tease gently.
"No," she says through a shy laugh. Her stomach presses to your knee as she steps forward. "I didn't mean it about my hair."
"I know."
She puts her hands up for you to pull her into your lap. You're more than willing to oblige, tucking her head under your chin. She's small in your lap.
"I love looking after you," you murmur into her hair. "It's my favourite job. I know I'm not as good as daddy at things, but I didn't get all the training he got."
"You're just as good as dad," Roan says.
"You're better," Eddie says.
You turn your head to grin at him. "Not true, but I'll keep trying, Ro. I'll get it."
Roan fights to escape your tucking, her head tilted back, the blue glow from the fish tank cooling her face. "I love you now," she says.
"Aw," Eddie says, though he looks shocked at himself, like it had slipped out unbidden.
"I love you too," you say. More than you can explain.
She puts her hand on your collar. "I'm sorry," she says again.
"She knows, babe," Eddie says, flopping down onto the couch next to you both.
"I forgive you straight away," you agree, rubbing the short breadth of her back lovingly. "It did make me sad, worrying you didn't think good things about me, but it's okay. I know you were getting annoyed. You couldn't help it."
Roan's smile is so relieved you can't stop yourself from taking her face into two hands and planting kisses into the heart of her hairline.
"Love you, silly," you say.
"Share!" Eddie demands, his weight on your arm.
Roan giggles as she's painted in kisses. Eventually, when her rosy cheeks have been covered inch to inch by kisses and she's so loved up her eyes are shining, she pushes you both away and holds her hands out. "I need space."
You and Eddie laugh breathlessly and lean back into the couch, shoulder to shoulder.
The older she gets, the more things like this are going to happen. She's going to have opinions, and expectations for you and Eddie. She's going to want space —she's going to need it, like she said. You don't mind giving her what she needs even if it is an adjustment, and even if she does aim her outbursts at you when she's overwhelmed. You do wish you could curl a strand of her hair around your finger, or stroke her cheek, but then she puts her hands on your shoulder. She's still blushing.
"You're the best mommy ever," she says.
"Did you tell her to say that?" you ask Eddie.
"No way," Eddie says, dropping his head onto your other shoulder, his hair tickling your neck. "She just knows the truth, babe. I didn't have to tell her anything about it."

Is there a way to be happy even without the boys? This IS a Wolfstar x reader fic, but it's incredibly slow burn. They won't start all dating each other until we're very deep into the story, but I promise the long wait will be worth it.Proofread by Lovely @aremuslupinsimp
You leaned down and took one of the Mirror shreds in your hands. Depending on where you moved it, you could see reflections from all the things you’d seen inside: Sirius crying, Remus desperate, your father crying for your mother, and you crying for Nina. You being dropped from your father’s arms and several other moments. You sighed, placed the shred in your bag, and walked towards the clock. If you had one of the parts, then not even the most expert reparo, and neither would all the king’s men, put Riapsed together again.
When you crossed over to the other vault, you took the three keys on the face of the clock and placed them in your bag alongside all the money you’d already taken. You gave one long look to the vault, at the books lying on the floor and at the harp singing its sorrowful song in the back. You didn’t understand why your father had created the riddle for you. You didn’t understand why he kept making things harder, but in the end, it didn’t matter.
Not as long as you didn’t follow the same steps he would, not as long as you made the choices he would scorn.
You walked outside of the vault, the goblin, Tharnock, was waiting patiently there for you. Your little odyssey through memory lane had eaten up about 2 hours, and you had to get out before people knew you were there, or before Thernock realised how weird the entire thing had been for him.
“Are you finished, Miss?”
You nodded, “Yes, thank you.”
Tharnock walked you back to the minecart and you were both back in the main hall in a matter of minutes. The goblin gave you the key as you walked past the golden gates, he went back to his desk and you walked the hell away from the bank. Once outside, you used the hairpin to blend within the crowd and walked towards a less transited street.
You still hadn’t eaten at all over the weekend. But the strong emotions revolting inside you didn’t make you want to go and buy something either. You checked the clock and decided it was about time to raise your wand. The knight bus appeared a couple of minutes later.
“Where to, Lassie?” the same pudgy guy that had picked Beth and Tom asked.
“Hogsmeade,” you replied.
“Hot chocolate?”
You contemplated the idea for a second. You had tried to drink the hot chocolate before and you didn’t like the idea of getting it all over yourself again, although it was quite tasty. “No thank you,” you said in the end.
“That’ll be 11 Sickles then.” You paid with a galleon. “No change, Lass?”
“Sorry, no.”
He grumbled something about people never carrying change and then handed you 6 sickles. One of them was sticky and you tried not to make a disgusted face as you wiped it on your jeans and walked into one of the few available seats. The trip wasn’t too long, but by the time you were in Hogsmeade, you wanted to puke.
“Thanks for using the Knight Bus, come back soon!” The guy said as you and a few other students you didn’t recognise got down from the train. It was cold outside, and you walked straight towards Honeydukes.
The train had arrived at Hogwarts about an hour before and plenty of students roamed around Hogsmeade, making some last-minute purchases and stocking up on candies and such. They all looked happy and carefree. You had been like that before, you sorrowfully wondered if you’d ever get to smile that big.
There was a couple kissing in the Alley behind the Three Broomsticks, and you flinched when you noticed the way the guy was holding her. It was a thing Sirius used to do all the time. You looked at them for more than would have seen appropriate, took a deep breath and continued walking.
“Hey, Starkeeper!” You heard someone calling from behind. Funny he called you that, you hadn’t been particularly good at keeping your star.
He ran up to you and stopped right in front of you with a frown. He looked all over your face. “Sorry, I thought you were…” You took off the hairpin, and Minho looked at you in shock. “I knew it was you!” he whispered-shouted as he leaned closer, placing an arm over your shoulder and covering as much of you as he could with his chest. “Why are you hiding, is it because of Christmas?”
“Nice to see you, Min” you said with a small smile. You were genuinely happy about not being alone. “Tom– Tom told you about Christmas?”
“No?” he asked, confused. “My parents did. They had been invited to the party, Arkalis is Dad’s coworker, but we were travelling back to Korea to visit our family for Christmas. Mum feels terrible about not going, they were told everything that happened, she wished she could have helped you.”
“Oh,” you said as you took a deep breath. You knew Minho’s parents worked in politics, his father was an ambassador from the Korean Ministry of Magic (KMM), but you’d also heard that in Asia there wasn’t as much prejudice against muggles as there was in England. In fact, much like the Americans, they didn’t have a derogatory term for them, but rather they called the 비마법사 or 비마법 for short, which basically translates to non-wizard or non-wiz. And there was no such term as Muggle-born either, a wizard was a wizard, that simple.
Obviously, Minho had been in shock when he found out such a term existed and that’s why he was such good friends with the Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs, he just didn’t understand the whole bIood purity bias some of the Slytherins insisted on, not even if he was also a pure bIood. Unfortunately, even if the KMM considered all wizards wizards, they did not see different sexual preferences as openly as the Eastern part of the world did. In fact, they deemed homosexuality as a “European deviation” even if it had existed in Asia for the same amount of time. Of course, Minho was horrified at the idea of being outed.
“Yeah,” he continued. “They think what you did was insanely brave. They were talking about you at breakfast. They recognised you as the Gryffindor seeker and I had to tell them you were actually the keeper instead. They came to our match a couple of months ago, the one where you threw yourself off the broom to beat Reggie to the snitch? You know, right?” You nodded, it’s not like you could forget about that. “Anyway, they said they thought you were really determined then, but that they didn’t know just how brave you were until they heard about the party.”
You swallowed, you had been told that by adults more than once in the past few days. Brave, determined, and you might have been all those things, but you were also alone now. Your bravery had charged a hefty price in return. Minho noticed you were upset, and he leaned a little closer, cocking his head as he looked at you. “Have you eaten? I’m going to meet Tom at The Three Broomsticks.”
You opened your mouth to respond, and then closed it again, shaking your head in response. You were pretty sure mentioning to Minho –Mr. Healthy– of all people that you hadn’t eaten since Friday would have you listening to a very long talk about the importance of food and how it fuels your body and whatnot.
“So it’s my treat then,” Minho said as he pushed you along with him. “For saving the world!” You were about to argue. “Don’t even think about it, young lady,” he retorted.
Minho had gotten a lot bossier since he started dating Tom. You sighed and didn’t argue further, which had him throw a weary glance at you. You almost always sassed him back in some way or another. By the time the two of you arrived at the restaurant, Tom was already sitting on one of the tables with two butterbeers ordered.
“Slysprite!” he said once he spotted you, and leaned in to pull you into a hug. He also gave an awkward hug to Minho, as if both wanted to stay together for longer but knew it wouldn’t be appropriate to do it in public. Tom waited for you to sit down and handed you his jug of butterbeer. He looked at you patiently as you took a big gulp. You were about to ask Minho if he could buy you something heavier when Tom spoke again, “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing’s wrong.”
Tom gave you a look. “Sirius and Remus were whispering to each other the entire train ride, James was clearly angry about it and you were nowhere to be seen. In fact, I’d dare say you left since the party on Friday. Effie said something about you feeling sick, but I didn’t buy shit. What happened?”
“Tom,” Minho said in a warning tone.
“Nope,” the blue-eyed boy said with a hand finger up as if to tell Minho not to meddle. “What happened?” he insisted.
You sighed and raised the butterbeer with your hand. “Do you have some real alcohol?”
“Minho, babe?” he said with a small pout, Minho threw him a look, but Tom called most people babe anyway. Even if Minho knew his was special. “Would you be a darling and bring this kind lady some whiskey?”
“She hasn’t eaten, Tom.”
“But she surely had breakfast, right?” You didn’t respond, only raised one of your eyebrows at him. “See, go get her some.”
Minho stood up and walked towards the bar, he was the only one old enough to buy Fire Whiskey, and he got two glasses since he knew Tom would want some, and he’d drink a bit from his glass. He also ordered fries and a dish to share.
“You look like shit,” Tom said.
“Well, thank you,” you responded and took a sip from the butterbeer, they had never felt bitter to you before, and yet this time it was almost hard to swallow the foamyness of it.
“I mean, why the hell did you leave the Potters’? Do you know how dangerous that is?”
“I’ve almost diеd plenty of times in the last couple of days,” not to mention the last couple of hours, you thought. “I had to leave.”
“Why?”
“Because!”
Minho arrived with the drinks and handed you the glass, you thanked him and dragged it to your mouth, drinking the double whiskey he’d ordered in one swing. Minho, who had barely let go of it, took hold of it again and pulled it from your mouth, as he placed the food on the centre of the table. He was sitting beside you now, using his body to cover your face from most of the restaurant “Ey, Ey!” He said. “What’s wrong?” He looked at you with genuine concern, both boys did, which only made you feel even worse.
You looked at them for a second and then turned to Minho with the hopes of changing the subject. “Tell me about your Christmas, Min. Did you see all your cousins?”
The boy sighed and turned to Tom for help. Minho would have probably responded and would have distracted you from everything that was going on, but Tom was more of the “no-nonsense” kind of guy. He looked at Minho sternly and shook his head slowly. Minho frowned at him in return, as if it pained him not to comply.
“Slysprite!” Tom chided. “You just downed a glass of Firewhisky like it was water, your face tells me you’ve slept like shit and Sirius and Remus are just as bad as you. James looks exasperated and I’m sorry to be the one to knock some sense into you, but you look like you bought a liquor store and drank it.”
“I’m not drunk.” That was true, the entire Gringotts adventure had been enough to sober you up.
“It’s not what I mean,” Tom responded pointedly. “You know it’s not what I mean.”
“I’ve had quite a fucking day, Tom.”
“Well then, go on and tell us about it. What the fuck is wrong with the boys?”
You sighed, if you didn’t say it then it wasn’t real. And yet you would say it now. “I broke up with Sirius.”
“What did he do?” Minho asked.
“Why does everyone assume it was he that did something?”
“Because it’s Sirius Black,” Tom responded. “If not then, why? You look miserable about it, so it’s not because you didn’t want to be with him.”
“Of course, it isn’t,” you said as you hid your head in between your arms and let out a sad groan.
“Then?”
“You can’t tell anyone.”
“Well, we’re both great at keeping secrets,” Minho said, and you turned to him with an incredulous look.
“That was an accident!”
“I’ll put a tongue twister spell on him after, you cool with that, babe?”
“For sure.”
You sighed, “It’s not because of what he did, it’s because of what he wouldn’t have done.”
“Which is?”
“Date Remus.”
Both boys eyed each other confused before turning to you again, your head was buried in between your arms, and you didn’t say a word.
“What?” Tom asked with a frown.
“I accidentally bumped into Remus jerking off to Sirius’ name…”
“Well, we’ve all jerked off to Sirius’ name,” Tom said as if it was a non-issue. Minho was about to protest, but after thinking about it for a second longer, he remembered he too had done it.
You threw him an exasperated look, “Maybe, but you don’t look at Sirius the way Remus does.”
Tom closed his mouth. Minho just frowned as he looked at you. What about the way he looks at you? he wondered.
“And then I felt like shit because Remus is my best friend and he likes Sirius and I was in the middle of that and–”
“But Sirius likes you,” Tom interrupted. “I’ve never seen him like anyone in the way he likes you.”
“Which is why he would have suffered in silence,” you added. “He likes Remus too,” you sighed. “After I found out, I paid closer attention. I was so bIoody blinded by his beautiful eyes, long lashes and prince-like looks. I was not looking at the way he always veered closer to Remus. Heck, I took a fucking picture of the two of them cuddling each other because I thought it was cute once I slept with them.”
“You… slept with Remus and Sirius at the same time?” Miho asked, confused.
“What? No! We were cuddling not shagging,” you said as if it made it more normal. “Anyway, I totally get it. I mean, Remus is tall and handsome and has those beautiful eyes of his that are always a different colour. He’s clever and brilliant and good at all the classes he takes, but also gentle and kind, not to mention he’s fucking ripped… I cannot blame Sirius for falling for him. And of course, I could never blame Rem for liking Sirius, I’m on the same fucking boat.”
Tom was looking at your problem, and all he could see was the solution and a very interesting one at that. But he wasn’t just outright going to say it, he had to allow you to discover it yourself. “And do tell, Slysprite, what else is there to like about Remus Lupin?” He asked sceptically. Minho looked at him with a frown and Tom gave him a reassuring nod.
“What else?” you asked in disbelief. “What isn’t to like about Remus? You know he is perceptive as fuck? He knew I was feeling down and helped me feel better, he’d met me a fucking week ago. He’s always three steps ahead of you, I swear I can never beat him on magic chess, he’s a brilliant duelist, and incredible at DADA. He knows the best book recommendations and he speaks so softly when he reads to you. When–” you hesitated. “When Nina and Mum diеd he was there to comfort me. He didn’t ask questions, he just hugged me and listened, he’d such an incredible listener. He can be moody sometimes but that just adds to how charming he is and I– I mean… he’s the best friend I could have ever asked for, I could not imagine how incredible he would be as a partner. Sirius will be lucky to have him. Anyone would.”
“Aha,” Tom said as he nodded and looked at you.
“What?”
Tom shrugged, “Nothing,” he said. “It just sounds to me that… you like him as well.”
You looked at Tom, your back straightened for a second as you pulled back, and you let out a hollow breath, then you gulped. If it hadn’t been for the dire situation you were in, Tom would have taken a picture of how hilariously dumbfounded you looked.
You groaned and buried your head in between your arms again. “Thanks, Tom! Way to make me more fucking miserable!” you mumbled.
Another thing you had been too blind to see. Fucking Ricchie had been saying that for ages, Reflection Nina had also mentioned something similar. The fox surrounded by the moon and stars? The lady at the three broomsticks? Symbolism was everywhere. Heck, you kept stealing his fucking sweaters because you loved the way they smelled.
“More miserable?” Tom scoffed a laugh. “Darling this is the best thing that could have happened to you!”
“How?!” You asked, turning back at him, tone angry and bitter.
“Well, simple: Sirius likes you and Remus, You like Remus and Sirius, Remus likes Sirius and you. It’s a throuple.”
“Remus doesn’t like me!”
“Oh, he does,” Minho said casually.
“What?” You asked as you turned to him, he seemed so sure about it.
“I’ve seen those loving eyes of Remus before, he’s smitten.”
“But that’s–” Impossible!
Is it? Really?
Remus had always been there for you. You remembered his worried expression when he found you on the snow, the hesitance by which he touched you, the way he looked at you back at the Halloween party, the way he would complain about you taking his sweaters but would always wear them after he got them back, when they still smelled of you.
The way he blushed when you teased him about Alice, how he always seemed slightly disconnected when talking about her, or sex, for that matter, with you. If he thought of you as a friend, and only as a friend, would he be uncomfortable over it? Had James ever been?
“Oh,” you said as realisation hit you. “Oh,” you said again when you realised how fucking miserable you had made them both. Of course, Remus would never go for Sirius, not if he loved you as well, it was the fucking reason you had –stupidly– broken up with Sirius in the first place. “I’ve been an idiot!”
“There it is,” Tom said with a satisfied nod and got head slapped by Minho who was a lot more comprehensive over your struggling feelings.
“Tom, you’re brilliant,” you said as you stood up from the chair and planted a kiss on his cheek. “I owe you big time, we all do!” you said thinking of your boys. Yes, your boys. Didn’t that sound delightful?”
“What are you going to do?” Minho asked.
“Find them,” you said matter of factly. “Find them and talk to them.”
“That’s the spirit,” Tom cheered and took out some parchment from his bag as the door shut behind you.
“What are you doing?” Minho asked him as he leaned over the paper.
“Writing Beth,” he said. “I think I won the bet.”
“What bet?”
“The one about those three having a very intense threesome,” Tom said casually and got another head slap from Minho.
“Oi,” he complained and pushed him playfully. Not that it did anything to Minho, Tom had always been smaller.
“Don’t bet on peoples’ feelings!” Minho chided.
“What about yours?”
“What about mine?”
“Can I bet on the feelings you have for me?” Tom asked almost in a whisper as he leaned closer to his boyfriend. He had a small smirk when he leaned back, it growing wider when he noticed the tip of Minho’s ears reddening.
“You’re such an idiot,” Minho said as he covered his face with his palms, maybe then it would be less evident how blushed he’d become.
Tom just smiled and patted him on the back, “That makes you a bigger idiot since you fell for me.”
You ran through Hogsmeade and used a disillusionment charm to walk through the back door and into the cellar. From there you climbed down the hatch and almost bumped into James as you turned to walk.
“Vixen?” he asked. He couldn’t see you at all. “Did you get an invisibility cloak or something?”
“What?” you asked, confused. “Finite incantatem,” you said and looked at him with a frown.
“It was a disillusionment charm? I couldn’t see you at all.”
“Maybe you should get your eyes checked,” you said as you leaned closer to Prongs and took his glasses from his face.
It was like you were surging with energy now, excitement and a bit of nervousness buzzing through your very atoms as you thought of being able to kiss Sirius again, of never having to stop. As you thought of how soft Remus’s lips would be on yours, how happy it would make him to know that he could have what he wanted without hurting anyone at all.
“Are you okay?” James asked, concerned. You looked nothing like what you’d sounded through the earrings.
“Totally!” you replied. “Do you know where Sirius and Remus are?”
“Well, I’m not sure… I think Slughorn wanted to talk with Remus about some potion he’s been working on with a student and he went there. Sirius…? I have no idea.”
“Do you have the map?” you asked. James shook his head and you handed back his glasses. “These seem all right to me,” you said with a shrug.
“Moony must have it,” he added, still confused.
“Oh, that’s excellent, I need to go to the dungeons then,” you said and turned around to speed off, but James caught up to you and pulled you to turn to him.
He was looking at you with concern. “Are you okay?” he asked solemnly, both hands on your shoulders as he stared at you attentively.
You were almost dragged back to reality by his question. Bad things still happened around you, dark and sad, and life-threatening things. You were still upset about what happened, but you weren’t hopeless anymore. There was light at the end of the tunnel and the fact that you wouldn’t be alone as you faced all of it was as comforting as it was thrilling. Your boys, you’d get to see your boys.
“Yeah,” you said with a small smile as you nodded. “I’m going to fix things.”
“The thing with Remus and Sirius?”
“Exactly that,” you added with a smile, James’ concern slowly turned into a small grin.
“You’re telling me you found a way to have them stop being all moody?”
“If the plan works,” you said with a shrug.
“You seem confident.”
“It’s a good plan,” you retorted. James nodded and you turned around again.
“Hey, Vix!” He said again.
“Yeah?” you asked as you turned around. James smiled from how excited you seemed, and then turned to his bag, throwing the cloak at you.
“Take this, might be useful.”
“And you?”
“I’ll disillusion myself to get out and walk back to the castle,” then he cocked his head to the side and bit his lip. “I heard Evans is going to be at Hogsmeade before dinner.”
You smiled, “Good luck!”
“You too.”
You took off again, the cloak in your hands and your small, expansion charm bag bumping against your hip as you rushed through the passage. It hadn’t been many times that you’d taken the HoneyDukes way to the castle, but it was narrower and somehow less moist than the one on the Shack.
You arrived at the one-eyed witch statue, took the cloak and wrapped it around yourself before speeding all the way to the dungeons. You stopped just outside the potions classroom. You could hear Slughorn’s voice from the door.
“So, would you be interested in taking the potion for a test?”
“You said Belby worked on this?” Remus asked.
“Yeah, I believe he collaborated with someone too, but that person didn’t want to take any of the credit. They made some kind of deal, I believe.”
“Okay,” Remus said as he took the potion in his hands and nodded. “I’ll tell you how it went next month.”
“Very well, I’d like to get all your thoughts on a paper so I can hand those to Dacmocles. You may change your handwriting or use a Quick-Quotes quill, I believe Professor McGonagall has one and will gladly lend it to you.” Remus seemed hesitant after that. “Of course, both you and your partner will get extra points for your work. Not that you need much of those.”
“Right, yes,” Remus said, trying not to grimace when the thought of you, still alone, Godric knows where, came crawling into his mind. “I’ll write the paper.”
“Brilliant!” the professor retorted and went back to check the papers on his table, which prompted Remus to exit the room with a simple nod. You smiled as you saw him pass by you, determined to get somewhere as he pulled a very familiar parchment from his sweater, and walked towards one of the secret passages you used all the time.
You walked right behind him and watched as he swore over the map and used Lumos to see the words that slowly appeared on the parchment.
“Who are you looking for?” You asked, leaning just behind him and looking at the map just from the side of his shoulder.
Remus almost jumped out of his skin, turning completely when he heard your voice, his shoulder accidentally hitting your chin since you didn’t have enough time to pull back. He didn’t notice though, too shocked about you literally appearing out of nowhere.
“Where the hell have you been?” He asked as he placed both of his hands over your shoulders and inspected your face thoroughly, trying to check if you’d been hurt.
Yeah, it could have been hell, you thought.
“We should talk.”
“I was so worried, we all were, you shouldn’t have left like that!” Remus responded, completely ignoring your words and pulling you into a bone-crushing hug. Remus was scared you would push him away, he was terrified it was the last hug he gave you so he squeezed.
“I thought I had to,” you said honestly. “You like Sirius.”
Remus pulled back, “Starshine, I don’t know how you got that idea into your head but–”
“It wasn’t a question.”
“Would you let me speak?! I’m telling you, that’s ridiculous, not because I like boys does it mean–”
“Remus,” you said a little more sternly. “You don’t have to lie to me.”
“Why aren’t you bIoody listening?” He repeated, exasperated, you saw the flash of gold in his eyes. Even then, you thought it was charming. “It’s ridiculous that you think I would–”
“I don’t blame you, I like him too.”
“For Godric’s sake! I said I don’t–”
“I saw you that night, with the coat,” you rushed out before he had time to protest again.
Remus’ frown deepened. The night with the coat? He wondered, and then the images came to him, and he paled. “Whatever you thought you heard–”
“You jerking off to my boyfriend’s name, you mean?” You asked with a knowing smile. Remus was utterly dumbfounded, you weren’t half as pissed as he expected you to be. Heck, you seemed diverted.
“Is this funny to you?” Remus asked, face cold and tears welling up in his eyes.
You instantly felt terrible for the way in which you’d said it. “NO! No, of course not,” you said and took a deep breath. “I was–” you bit your lip. “When I found out I was shocked– and pissed, because I hadn’t seen it before, because it was obvious that Sirius and I being together was hurting you and–”
“It is not hurting me!” Remus defended. “You and Sirius are meant for each other and–”
“So are you and him,” you said more calmly. “Perhaps more than me and him…”
“That’s bullshit, he loves you, you know that.”
You smiled again, that knowing sort of smile Remus couldn’t quite place, “He loves you too, you know?”
Remus clenched his jaw as a frustrated exhale escaped through his nose. How ever could he respond to that? He hated this, he hated having caused you so much pain, because he was stupid and horny due to the moon and because he quite literally couldn’t keep it in his pants and because he was an idiot and–
“Remus,” you called his attention, driving him away from his destructive thoughts. “Do you like me too?” He turned to you even more shocked at your question. His face was one of anguish and despair as if he didn’t know what to say, or how to respond to such a question. “Be honest,” you added, calmly.
Remus shook his head with tears in his eyes.
“Would you take veritaserum and deny it again?”
“Are my words not enough?”
“You didn’t even speak. And they weren’t enough for you when I told you I wasn’t afraid, nor were they when I told you I thought you were beautiful.”
Remus swallowed, “Even if I did–” You were biting your lips to stop yourself from smiling. “Even if I did, it wouldn’t matter, would it? You need to go to Sirius and–”
“Remus, I like you too,” you blurted out. “I don’t how I was so stupid not to realise it before. I mean the potion at the Slug Party, the way I cuddle with you, the way I’m always happy when you’re around. The way you make me laugh, the way you smell.” You had to take in some air from how fast you were speaking. “I was blind, completely blinded by Sirius to see–”
“Do you not like Sirius anymore?” Remus asked, almost reproachingly.
You laughed, “Of course, I like him still! He might be the love of my life, but we’re all a bunch of idiots, that’s what we are!”
“Little Witch, I don’t think I’m following,” he responded confused.
You took his head in both of his hands. “You beautiful, self-sacrificing idiot,” you said then. Remus wanted to retort with you being much worse than he was, but he wanted to see what the hell you meant by that more. You licked your lips, enticed to kiss his own, but you knew you had to talk to Sirius about it first. “Don’t you see? We’re all pinning for each other, mutually.”
He didn’t speak, so you took that as a sign to continue, “You like me and Sirius, I like you and Sirius and Sirius liked the both of us.”
“You’re saying–” he stammered, “you’re saying you want us all to be together?”
“Well, wouldn’t that be the only natural solution? We were already together all the time–”
“I don’t know about natural,” he muttered, you smiled.
“The only difference would be that you could act on your desires and Sirius could act on his. Wouldn’t that make you happy?”
“Would it make you happy?”
“It would make me ecstatic!” you replied with a smile. “And I’m sure Sirius even more so, he’s been pining for you while being with me, he must have felt terribly guilty about it, but he never had to be. Besides, it’s not like it’s the first time three people have fallen in love with each other.”
“It’s a love triangle,” Remus huffed a laugh as he rolled his eyes.
“But none of us has to be alone in the end,” you added with a smile, as you bit your lip, and then pressed a kiss to his cheek, right next to the spot your thumb had been resting on. Remus’ smile only widened and he leaned in to kiss you, but you turned your head before your lips clashed with each other.
You didn’t miss the hurt look on his handsome features and you pulled him into a hug. “I’m sorry,” you said, voice muffled by his shirt. “You don’t know how much I wanted you to do that, but we need to speak to Sirius first. No more lies, we all need to be honest with each other this time around.”
“Sirius is gonna flip out when we tell him,” he muttered into your head. “He’s been sulking over being an idiot for falling in love with me since you left.”
“Then we’re both idiots,” you said with a small smile, still hugging Remus tightly. “Did you guys figure each other out?”
Remus pulled back with a sceptical look. “Did you really think if you left, we were just going to start dating?”
“You didn’t?”
“Of course not!” he replied. “We were both upset, you left with no wand and alone! Nobody knew where you’d gone to, let alone if you were safe wherever you’d been and you were breaking apart because of Christmas. Sirius was drowning in guilt and to be honest, I wasn’t much better. We would have never been happy if we thought you were upset.”
You bit your lip, looking down and thinking how much quicker things would have gotten solved if instead of running away, you had faced the issue head-on. If instead of leaving, you had brought Remus to the kitchen and forced him to talk things through with the two of you.
Of course, you didn’t know he liked you too then, but perhaps you wouldn’t have had to go through Gringotts alone if you had. You wouldn’t have gone through those lonely, almost desolate days in which you drowned yourself in alcohol.
“I guess it makes sense,” you said with a sad smile. “I couldn’t have continued on with Sirius if I thought it was hurting you either. Of that I was certain.”
“As if you being with Sirius hadn’t already broken half of the school’s hearts,” Remus huffed.
You looked up at him with a smile, “Perhaps, but none of those hearts belong to my best friend.”
You saw the faintest blush creep up on Remus’s cheeks, you were again tempted to pull him into a kiss, and you willed yourself to stop. Not until we talk to Sirius about it.
“We should go to him,” you said with resolution. “Where is he?” you asked as you leaned down and picked the map up from the floor.
“I was looking for you,” Remus admitted, as he leaned closer to you, helping you open the map as you held it. “I wanted to find you as soon as you got to the castle so both Sirius and I could ambush you. I was going to try and convince you I didn’t like him.”
“More lies?”
“You told Sirius you didn’t like him anymore,” he sassed back. He didn’t have to say it, you knew how hypocritical it was.
You huffed, “Maybe being in love really does make you more stupid,” you mumbled as your eyes scanned through the map. You saw Peter in the broom closet again, which made you assume he was “greeting” Annie Doxon. James was not at the castle, so he was probably still with Lily back at Hogsmeade. Some of the teachers were in their classrooms, the prefects were helping some of the first years out, or so you assumed since most of them were walking at rather random places inside the castle. The kind of which only the newer kids ended up in.
“There,” Remus said. “Gryffindor tower, he must be in our room.”
“Looks like we’ve set direction, captain,” you said with a smile.
Remus smiled, but he faltered just seconds later. “Wait! How are you?”
“Very excited about talking to Sirius.”
“I don’t mean that,” Remus reproached. “I mean about Christmas.”
You swallowed, and you took a deep breath. “I’m better,” you said honestly. “Well, at least I think I am. Kind of? Something happened in Diagon, I’ll tell both of you all about it after we’ve sorted this out, does that sound fair? One problem at a time…”
“Will you actually talk about it?”
You nodded, “I think I avoided the subject so much that it came crashing onto me like a full-speed train, but perhaps I needed that.”
Remus gave you a weary look, clearly preoccupied with what you’d said, but he was certain he wouldn’t get anything else from you if you didn’t have that “Sirius talk” first. He nodded, still biting his lip as he placed a hand behind your shoulders and pushed you right in front of him, towards Gryffindor Tower.
It was almost as if going through that first time you met him, when he took you to the passages so you didn’t get busted for being out late. You smiled as you walked, and at some point pulled out Nina’s wand to get some more light out.
“Lumos,” you whispered. The light was blinding enough to illuminate the entire place before you managed to dim it.
“What the– you bought a new wand?” Remus asked.
You turned to him and showed him Nina’s. “Olivander refused to sell one to me, he said this one was meant to be mine.”
“It’s…” he hesitated, he wasn’t sure he wanted to say her name. Every time they mentioned it you would instantly shut them out and become distant, and last time he suggested you use her wand, you were pretty clear when you told him why you didn’t want to. You didn’t want to remember everything that had happened every time you made a spell.
“Nina’s,” you finished for him. “Yeah, a lot of stuff happened in Diagon.”
He placed a reassuring hand behind your neck, he was warm, and you hadn’t quite realised how much you craved his touch until you felt the pads of his fingers brush against your skin. You leaned closer to his hand almost instantly, relaxing into his touch.
He smiled when he noticed and started playing with the hair at the nape of your neck. Remus had always known you liked being coddled, but at the same time he tried to maintain a decent distance since you were dating Sirius, but the fact that he could give you the type of solace he yearned to give, was somehow comforting to him in itself. Like that time when he found you on the snow, but without feeling terrible for betraying his best friend.
He was soft as he made his touch a little more purposeful, finding the tense muscles and pressing onto them with his warm hand, it was delightful, to say the least. “Is that okay?” he asked hesitantly.
“It’s perfect,” you said honestly. “I knew you were good at petting, I mean you were brilliant with Vixen but –yeah there– I had no clue you’d be this good with humans.”
Remus laughed at your praise to hide his blush, not that you were looking at him, your gaze was still focused ahead of you and you were carefully counting the turns, not to get lost. It was something you did often when you were inside the passages, and Remus thought the way you muttered 2 left, 1 right, straight, etc. was adorable.
“I’ve got my hidden talents. Really good with my hands,” he replied with a bit of a smirk. “I’ll show them to you one day.”
“Godric, Remus!” you said as you turned to him with a shocked scoff. “Who would have thought shy old Moony could be such a flirt?”
“Only when it matters,” he said with a smile and then squeezed both his fingers onto a knot in your neck and you almost moaned. “I wasn’t lying.”
“Show off!” you said as you rolled your eyes and swatted him playfully on the chest. This is nice, you thought. You missed being able to interact with them so casually. It was like you’d been walking on needles for too long, and suddenly you were taken to a soft meadow.
By the time you were close to the exit on the passage, you unfolded James’ cloak again, and placed it around yourself, that way you could follow Remus all the way to his room without being spotted.
“Stand close,” he said.
You refrained from teasing him over it, deciding you’d tease him mercilessly once Sirius was in on the discovery. Remus walked inside the common room, greeted some of your classmates with a simple wave, and continued walking towards his room. The path you already knew so well, you could follow in almost complete darkness. Remus was about to open the door before he turned, looking over his shoulder before muttering, “Should I go in first or–”
You disillusioned yourself and passed the cloak over his head once you made sure there was nobody else in the hall. “I’ll go in first. I should probably apologise to him,” you responded. Remus nodded. “Give me five minutes and then come inside.”
You walked in, Sirius was sitting on Remus’ bed, head down and staring at his hands as he picked on his nails and bobbed his leg up and down. He didn’t look up when he heard the door, he seemed to be lost in thought. You saw a clear tear fall over his hand, and he was quick to wipe it out with his thumb.
“Puppy?” you asked as you deactivated the charm.
He sprung from the bed in a second, his eyes were red-rimmed and he looked as bad, if not worse, than when you left him crying in James’ kitchen. “Starshine?” he asked, as he spotted you, as if he didn’t believe his eyes. And just like Remus had done, he went straight to wrap his arms around you and push you to him. “I thought I’d have to go look for you as soon as you got here. Are you okay?”
“I’m fine,” you said as you hugged him back, tightening your arms around him. “I’m so sorry,” you said then, thinking of how sad he was and how much you’d hurt him. Thinking of the moment when he’d begged you to be selfish for him and instead of complying, you’d lied and told him you didn’t love him. “I lied, I do love you! Don’t ever doubt that.”
He pulled back, looking at you as confused as Remus had been earlier, more so when he was the tears pricking your eyes, “Starshine, what are you talking about? I’m the one that fucked up, I’m the one that–”
“You asked me to be selfish for you, you told me to stop being the hero and I ignored your pleas, I only succeeded in making all of us miserable and–”
“But it was I the one who fell in love with his best friend while dating you, It was I the one that… I should be on my knees beginning for forgiveness.”
“No!” you said then. “There’s nothing to forgive! I was the idiot for leaving, not you!”
“What?” Sirius asked, even more confused, and terrified that the inch of hope you’d created wasn’t real… What if he was dreaming of you again?
“I talked to Remus,” you said then.
“Wait, you did? Are you convinced he's not into me, then?”
“Godric, no! He definitely likes you.”
“So then… why are you– you don’t seem angry about it.”
“Yeah,” you choked a laugh, cheeks wet with some tears still, but stretching into a smile. “You see there’s one thing I hadn’t realised, one thing that was the key to solving this puzzle we’ve been dancing around for months, and I wish I hadn’t been as oblivious to it, we would have spared the three of us a heartache.”
Sirius looked at you as you rambled, not sure he understood what you were going on about. It was like you discussing muggle books with Remus that he hadn’t read, he understood the words, but other than that it was like you were speaking a different language.
“And I’ve always said I’ve been so good at reading people, I was embarrassingly stupid in interpreting my own feelings, to our feelings, that I allowed myself to wallow in my own self pity, and in my own little hole of darkness, too obscure to see the bigger picture and–”
“Étoile, you’re rambling.”
You shot your mouth and looked at him with an owlish gaze, you took a deep breath, thinking of how to break it up to him. “Sirius, when you think of me kissing anyone but you, what do you feel?”
“Anyone but me?”
“Imagine me kissing Peter.”
Sirius couldn’t quite hold back the sombering of his gaze. You had analysed everything that had happened since you met them, and you had a pretty good idea of what you were about to do, if things went awry though, you weren’t sure you’d be able to withstand the heartache that would ensue.
“Why do you–”
“What if it was James? Alex? Tom?” you pressed. Sirius gave you a sorrowful look now. Were you trying to tell him how upset you’d felt over the fact that he liked Remus? It was certainly working.
“Starshine, I–”
“What if it was Marlene?” His expression was still dull, although rather curious, “Beth? Sybil? Evan?”
He cringed at the last one, “I think I get what you–”
“What about me kissing Remus?” His expression changed, you didn’t need to prickle into his mind to know what he was thinking. Although you had been tempted to try legilimency, deep down you knew it would be unfair. “I’ve done it before, remember? At Marlene’s party near the beginning of the year?”
Sirius remembered it. Of course, he did, there was no way in hell he didn’t, you had been sitting on his lap while you made out with his best friend. That day he thought that might have been the hottest thing to ever happen in his life, but he assumed it was about seeing you kiss, and imagining himself in Remus’ place, rather than seeing the both of you kissing each other. He gulped.
“Sirius, how would you feel if I kissed him?”
He didn’t know how to respond. He couldn’t tell the truth, could he? Wouldn’t that upset you further? Make you feel like the entire relationship had been a lie?
“I mean–” he stuttered, “It would–”
“Sirius,” you said softly as you pressed your hand to his cheek. “I want you to be honest, above everything else. Does that sound fair?” He didn’t respond, he only gave you a pleading look. “We’ve lied to each other and ourselves enough.”
That was like an arrow straight to the heart. Cupid, you traitorous beast, how could you do this to us? he thought as he tried to find his words again. His tongue felt stale inside his mouth, his lips were shut tight like a statue’s, it was as if he couldn’t speak, even if he wanted to.
“Would it upset you?”
“No,” he mumbled, so low it was almost inaudible. “It wouldn’t.”
You nodded, and then leaned your head to the side, searching for his downcast eyes before you said, “It wouldn’t upset me either… I mean, it wouldn’t upset me to see you kissing Remus.”
“What do you mean–”
“Remember that night I took a picture of the two of you cuddling each other? I always found it adorable.”
“I was figuring out I liked him back then…” Sirius mumbled, and you smiled.
“Well, I was never jealous. I could never be jealous of Moony,” you explained. “The fact that he liked you and you liked him was not the reason I left.”
“Then why–”
“Cause I thought I was causing the both of you pain by being in the middle, the obstacle that prevented the two of you from–”
“You could NEVER be an obstacle!” he rushed out.
“I know,” you reassured with a smile. “Do you want to know what the last piece of the puzzle was?” Sirius nodded, and you smiled. “Turns out Moony dear, did not only have a crush on you.” Sirius frowned at that, about to ask what you meant but you beat him to it. “He likes me too. He liked the both of us, from the very start.”
“Moony what?!?” He asked, shocked.
“And really, we should have seen it sooner, I mean Remus is good at keeping his secrets, but Moony with Padfoot and Vixen? He’s absolute trash at it, it was as obvious as a Sytherin trying to pass as a Gryffindor. We should have known!”
“So you’re saying that…”
“WE’RE ALL INTO EACH OTHER!”

Dating the cold and reserved water hashira is definitely not for the weak. It takes time even when just befriending the guy but dating him and being his girlfriend? You will definitely be the one who will have to confess. Everyone knows he is cold, quiet, reserved, and blunt. Showing affection is not definitely not his suit, you're wondering how he shows his affection? Of course he'll do it on his own way and pace.
✧*。✧*。✧*。✧*。✧*。✧*。✧*。✧*。✧*。✧*
✧He is not a man of words and showy when it comes to affection but! Definitely an act of service guy.
✧Can't carry all the bags? He got it! Having a hard time cleaning the house? He'll help. Anything you need, you may not notice it but he'll definitely act on it.
✧"Do you need help?" "I'll do it" "Is this alright?"
✧but aside from Act of Service, Gift giving is definitely his love language.
✧ You're chatting and you said you wanted to get this? He'll get it right after his mission on the way home! You don't need things he bought for you? You gotta need it girl! It's from him!
✧ "huh? For me?..but! Why?"
"You wanted it."
✧Aside from getting what you want, He'll definitely got something that reminds him of you.
✧ "This reminds me of her." "Is there [F/C] available of this?" "I hope she likes this"
✧*。✧*。✧*。✧*。✧*。✧*。✧*。✧*。✧*。✧*
Imagine him on his way coming back from a long mission and pass through the city where there's stall outside selling cute stuffs or accessories like hair clip, cute bracelets and stuff. He'll pass by and definitely buy something that reminds him of you. He will probably buy something matching but subtle for him to wear.
After buying that stuff, he'll go home immediately, not wanting anything but to rest after his long and exhausting mission in your arms.
When he got home, the sound of the door opening was the only signal that will warn you that he is home. You ran to him as soon as he went home, greeting him with your usual smile and affection.
"Welcome home, Love"
And of course, there's nothing greater than your daily hug and peck of kisses on his cheek after he went home after every mission, indication of relief that he is back once again.
"Here." He will just put the pouch of that gift on your hand as you look at him curiously before opening that. There is a cute hairpin designs with gem stones.A blue one specifically.
"This is so...so cute! Thank you so much love!"
And of course there's nothing greater than seeing your wide smiles and sparkling eyes at things he'll do for you. It will never fail to quicken his heart beat.
Oh how lucky he is.
And of course, he'll always remind himself to buy you something after his missions so there will be an award for you for always waiting for him and also,
To always see your sparkling eyes indication of excitement and so those smiles that will never fail to squeeze his heart in affection.

I could only imagine how Bi han would freak out when he finds out reader wasn't wearing her necklace or just took it off for moment. Like dang calm down
Reader: I only took it for a second. I need to shower
he’s pissed, absolutely fuming.
it was a tiring day to say the least. you’ve been on your feet without a break for at least 8 hours now. running not only around the temple since bi han was out on the field and had been so for the past two days and as his partner you had taken some formal duties for the time being, but also getting errands done for your household.
you finally came home around 11 pm and went straight for your bedroom. getting rid of your clothing and jewelry to put on your silk blue robe and go to take a hot shower.
in the meantime bi han came back much earlier than expected. he told you he would take at least four days before returning and yet here he was. confused as to why you haven’t come to greet him. but after realizing what time it was he figured you were simply asleep.
he started undoing his hair on the way to the bedroom, the slight tugging of his hairstyle becoming a nuisance after an entire day.
when he entered the room he only found your clothes laid out on the bed and your jewelry on the bedside table. usually it wouldn’t alert him that much but he saw the necklace tangled up with your earrings and hairpins. the tiredness, soreness and bits of leftover adrenaline made him reel at the sight.
you barely even exited the bathroom when he jumped to you with a deep scowl on his face.
“ bi han! you’re home - ”
“ why did you take it off? ”
you look up at him a little confused.
“ don’t be stupid. the necklace. why are you not wearing it? ”
“ i just took it off to shower? why are you so agitated about it? ”
you weren’t blind, you saw how bi han looked at the necklace when you were wearing it. you just couldn’t understand why he did it. sentimental value? most probably. but it still didn’t explain his literal obsession with it. maybe you’ll finally find out.
“ i have my reasons. ”
“ which are? it’s like you’re obsessed with it! ”
his eyebrows shot up in disbelief, where you questioning him? he admired your fighting spirit but not so much when it was directed at him.
“ it proves that you’re mine. ”
i like my men mentally unstable and with questionable morals

Stars In Her Hair
Media - House Of The Dragon Character - Daemon Targaryen Couple - Daemon X Reader Reader - (OC) Lady Allianna Dayne Rating - Flirty Word Count - 1463
Finally, Daemon had returned to King's Landing from the war on the stepstones, he returned as king of the narrow Sea a title he quickly abandoned, but his brother King Viserys planned a week of celebrations for his return and the end of the war. Tourneys, hunts and other such pleasantries the first of which was tonight a large feast for the court. The hall filled with laughter and music, the tables lined with food and lords.
Daemon glanced around the hall attempting to find something interesting, part of him remembered how little he had missed such foolish politics, and he was tempted to finish his cup and head to his chamber for the night.
However, his eyes settled as they usually did on the body of the young lady, The Lady Allianna Dayne dressed as usual in deep purple and silver, with silver star jewellery and even a Star hairpin through her curls setting silver stars in her hair. The Dayne’s A fellow house of old Valyira with purple eyes much like many Targaryen’s. The last Daemon saw Allianna she was a young girl clutching her father's jacket as she followed him about court but that was many years ago.
Daemon’s eyes were drawn to her figure. He couldn’t help but admit to himself he found her attractive, she was beautiful. He slowly pushed himself up from the chair at the royal table, He started to make his way over to where she stood. He stood there a moment, staring at her before eventually speaking.
"You look rather bored standing here alone. Has not one person thought to request you dance this fine evening?"
She chuckled "No, they know better,"
"Is that so? Are you that intimidating?" He questioned, his tone playful. He moved to stand beside her, his gaze slowly travelling the length of her frame, admiring her appearance. Allianna was a beautiful woman with assets many in the seven kingdoms pay a fair price for on brothel girls, but she wore the impressive symbols of her house and its history
She glanced at him making sure to catch his eye so he knew she’d seen what he was up to, "It has been a good few years since you were here Prince Daemon. In that time a lady at court must learn to take care of herself,"
"Indeed it has been a long time. You've grown well since that child at court," His eyes continued admiring her looks, the curves of her body obvious beneath her dress, and then he raised his eyes to her hair. "I see you've adopted the family tradition and put a star in your hair. A fitting accessory for a lady of the house of the dawn star."
"I'm sure you felt compelled to adopt dragon scales on your sleeves and dragon buttons on your doublet at a similar age. Stars are my family, I wear them with pride. As a Lannister wears a lion, a stark a wolf fur, and you a dragon my prince."
"Quite right a Dayne girl would be nothing without her stars." He looked around the great hall. "I've seen many Westerosi houses here tonight, but I haven't spotted your father so far."
"he is not here.” She answered, “He is in Starfall, ruling as lord and comforting my mother, he .. he prays she will deliver him a son," her tone saddened,
He frowned as he spoke again. "I see, still no male heir then."
"No, only me."
"That’s quite a responsibility. I imagine your father is eager for a son to succeed him, an heir and not a daughter.”
"There is much he is eager for," she said dismissively before changing the subject, "but you have been busy... All these years, the war of the stepstones now won at last. King of the stepstones they've calling you," she chuckled at the title,
His lips curled into a smile, "King of the Stepstones, some do indeed call me that and yet I'm nothing more than a prince I assure you." He chuckled himself at the absurdity of it. "It's true that I've been busy but now I’m back here in the capital." He paused. "And I hope it doesn't take six years to see you at a feast again."
"I represent the whole of the south at court, you shall be seeing me, my prince,"
"You represent the South?" he asked, She was too young to be a delegate of her family he thought. "Your father's work I imagine? You're the only child and he doesn't wish to leave Dorne without a Dayne heir, not without a son." His words held some criticism of her father. He wondered if it truly a good idea to send her alone to the snake pit of a city like King's Landing? Anyone could take… advantage.
"You are correct," She nodded
"You must miss it. Your home? The warm sands of Dorne instead of the cobbled stones of the city." He moved a little closer, their distance closing. "Though a woman like you would be welcome in any room, be it a hall or a tent in the desert."
"I do miss it, starfall is unlike any castle in the seven kingdoms, I miss my tower, I miss the silver running like rivers through the walls, the moon-shaped cobbles and star glass windows. Somehow I feel every mile I am away from home. And weaker the further I am," There was a sadness behind her words as she spoke of home, "but... this is home, for now."
"The Dornish are proud people, the people of Starfall particularly so. It sounds like a lovely place." He felt a bit of sympathy for her, he felt the same about Dragon Stone which he had always called his home, "You'll return someday with a husband and a brood of children, and be happy there I’m sure."
she scoffed "Yes return home with a husband and children to be bossed about by the lord of Starfall, a brother whom even if is born today will be twenty years my junior." She explained "... When a son is born, Starfall won't be my home anymore, I'll simply be shipped off to whatever lord father picks out,"
His face showed a trace of sympathy for her as she spoke. "You'll be fine. The right Lord or Prince will come along for you, be assured of that." He looked at her for a moment before smirking. "Perhaps that’s why you keep every man at bay. Holding out for their Prince Charming."
"a prince?" She chuckled, "as far as I was aware... The realm has only the one prince" She maked eye contact,
He caught her gaze and held it, a slight smirk on his lips as she commented. He decided to play along with her game. "You’d be correct" he said, taking note of how she was standing, almost as if she were drawing herself towards him. "I’m the one and only" he added jokingly, before looking around to make sure no one was listening. "I’m curious..." he began, his tone lighter. "How did you pass your time in King’s Landing alone? I imagine you’ve been bombarded with men asking you to dance all night."
"I have been far too busy dealing with politics," she chuckled, "but if I have a moment I go to the library," she nodded, "Eman issare learning eglie valyiran” “I have been learning high valyiran" she said in a slight tender and careful high valyiran given she is still learning,
He was taken aback by her, It wasn’t something he expected. His eyebrows went up, his interest piqued. “You’ve issare learning Valyrio Eglie?” "You’ve been learning high Valyrian?”
She nodded with a gentle smile,
“Your accent is somewhat shaky but your pronunciation is decent enough.”
"hard to nail an accent when reading alone in the library"
He chuckled, "No good teacher then."
“Few known it at all let alone enough to teach.”
He looked upon her for a moment, his gaze tracing her body once again, before returning to her eyes. "I’m fluent in Valyrian. I could teach you."
"Could you? That would be very kind of you Prince Daemon,"
“Think nothing of it.” He took the opportunity to close the distance between them. He brought his body closer to hers and held her with a strong gaze. His voice came out in a low whisper. “Ziry would sagon ñuha pleasure naejot dohaeragon ao lēda aōha Valyrīha” “It would be my pleasure to help you with your Valyrian.”
She smiled biting her lip a little before she spoke, “Tomorrow, Eleven, in the library.” She nodded, “I’ll see you then Prince Daemon,”
“It’s a date” He nodded taking her hand in his and kissing her knuckles, “Ñuha dōna” “My Sweet”
She nodded hiding her blush as slipped her hand from his own and she walked away to leave the celebrations,

“A Duel For Your Hand.”
warning(s): swearing
summary: mizu knew you ever since she was a child. you two were friends, and she grew feelings for you. one day, you had to move. until one day, you saw her again, and complained to her about how your father was marrying you off to some noble.
mizu x fem!childhood crush!reader
——————————————————————————
Long ago, when you were just a young lady, you befriended a child just your age. An outcast, but you still talked to her. Your father was a swordsman, and one that has received a blade from Master Eiji. Your father respected Eiji, often times still visiting the old man for memories and to train with him.
You were never really close to your father, but you were close to Eiji. Often times, when your father was away for business, you’d be staying with Eiji and helping alongside him here and there.
One day, you ran all the way to Master Eiji’s place to show him something cool that your father had given you. You opened the door, only to find another child around your age, a little bit shorter, holding large iron tongs while Eiji was doing his thing.
“Master Eiji, guess what my papa got me!—“ You looked over at the other child, who was staring at you very closely and almost surprised. What’s a pretty, young lady like you doing here? You were dressed nice and seemed to be far too delicate to be around sharp blades.
Eiji held up his finger, then motioned for the child to hand him the tongs. “I see you have ran all the way from your home to show me…let me guess, another hair pin?” You eagerly nodded, running over to his side and squealing about the gift your father had given you after he had returned home from whatever business he had.
“So..who are you?” You curiously asked as you turned around to face the child, who was still looking at you in awe. You noticed her blue eyes, which seemed to be so clear and mesmerizing. They were like the color of the water—so blue and pretty.. Noticing that she was staring, she cleared her throat.
“M-Mizu. Uh, I’m just staying here..” Mizu said as she scratched the back of her neck. Oh god, was she falling for you already? Well, why wouldn’t anyone—you’re so pretty and you look like an angel in her eyes.
Days turned into months. Then months turned into years. Each time that you could go down to Master Eiji’s place, you’d always be a ball of sunshine with something to talk about. Whether if it’s some hair pin your father gave to you, or a new skill you learned, you’d always talk about it to Mizu. That was until you had to move away.
Here you are, mumbling and grumbling in the cold weather while stomping your feet in the snow. Now you were a grown woman, and one that was forced to learn all the arts of being a ‘perfect wife’. You threw the charms in your hair and the hairpins to the ground, frustrated that your father had set you up with a dumb, old nobleman. You had to excuse yourself from the room and immediately ran outside to attempt to calm yourself.
“Damn, angry much?” A voice spoke out from behind you. You turned around, your first instinct was to throw one of your hairpins at the person. But they caught it with two fingers, just inches away from their eyes behind those tinted glasses. The person smirked, pulling down the tinted glasses to reveal their blue eyes. “My god, is this the treatment I get when I finally find you again?”
That voice. It was Mizu! Absolutely delighted, you immediately gasped and ran over to her, immediately tackling her into the snow while hugging her tightly. She chuckled, hand on your back while you wrapped your arms around her waist while wailing. “I missed you so much! Oh my god, you can’t believe the bullshit my father is putting me through!” Mizu only smiled, sitting up against a tree while you sat in front of her, complaining and wailing about how your father’s trying to marry you off to some man! That part made her a tad bit pissed off. A beautiful woman like yourself being married off to someone certainly not worth your time? Fuck no. Is she going to duel this guy to perhaps steal you away instead? Yep.
“Seems like you want out of this, right?” She said after you finally stopped complaining, now just curled up beside her and leaning against her arm. You nodded immediately. You now just noticed she has grown. You used to be taller, but now she’s the taller one! And my god are her hands—wait, are you growing feelings again? “I want to see this man. I’m going to kill him, you’re not marrying some snobby asshole today.”
Much to your annoyance, Mizu had fought her way through your guards and marched on into the estate with ease. You followed after her, trying to get the guards to stand down but they won’t and Mizu ends up knocking a few of them off. More mess for the cleaners to deal with. Until she kicks down the door to the room your father and that suitor was in. “My god, this is the guy? You couldn’t even find a suitable man for your daughter?” Mizu groaned, rubbing her temples in annoyance before she pointed her blade at the guy. “I want to duel you. For her hand, of course. Don’t worry, your loss will be swift and it won’t hurt all that much considering how you have no real talent.”
“You? Some beggar boy against me? Princess, do you have any idea how stupid you are?!” The man yelled, standing up and kicking over the table. Your father glared at you, also yelling at you how unladylike it is so choose white trash over a real man.
Ah, that ticked Mizu off, and you already had a feeling this guy was about to get his ass whooped.
Nothing better than to sit on a rock in your backyard, watching in amusement how your drunk, clearly reeking of alcohol and a snobbish piece of trash of a suitor was holding a sword against Mizu. Mizu stood there, circling the man carefully while her blade was pointed right at him, waiting for him to strike.
One, two, three You counted down, and Mizu strikes just as you hit three. You watched very intently, leaning forward as Mizu absolutely decimated that poor man. “Beat his ass!” You loudly yelled to cheer on Mizu, in which you received a slap on the back of your head by your father, who wasn’t at all happy. Mizu glanced over at you and smirked, determined to win your hand in marriage.
“Got you,” Mizu casually said as she swung her leg out and tripped the man, making him fall face first into the snow while the tip of her blade rests right beside his head. He groaned in pain as his body collided into the snow and grunted, yelling about how Mizu was no man, but a monster from hell.
“You did it! I mean, of course you did!” You loudly shouted as you ran over to her side, pulling her into a big hug while she wrapped one arm around your waist. You looked up at her, finding a small smile on her lips before she kissed your forehead.
“You’re mine now, Princess.”

do you do requests and if you do can you do a deaf reader x saiki where she can only hear him bc he puts his voice in her head and gets super scared about it and realizes after why she got so scared
★; I do take requests, happily so actually, it just takes a while for me to finish so...
hope you enjoy!1!1!!
𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐬...
Life's weirdness pops its eery little head in every once in a while, that's a given. All it needs is a trigger. Though, if life had a trigger, you hope that your existence was the finger pulling it.
Because, there you stood with your eyes wide, mouth slowly unhinging itself, and hairs on the back of your neck raised.
You have been deaf for years, the continuous ear-related accidents affecting your hearing greatly. You've accepted that part of yourself, after months of grieving for it, and that you'll never get to hear more than what your hearing aids could provide.
So, why is it that, the one time you take it off, a boy with pink hair and two totally normal-looking hairpins bumps into you and you hear something a clear voice for the first time.
"Sorry." you hear, your heart drops at that. Hands lifting up to check for your aide, to feel nothing, as you watched the boy walk off to the desserts aisle of the supermarket.
You can't help but eye him for a moment or two, trying to piece together some form of explanation--there's no way that your hearing had suddenly just healed itself for a moment or the bump caused yourself to get an auditory hallucination.
Meanwhile, the psychic had. just realized his mistakes after hearing your mile-a-minute thoughts go wind at his mistake. Thinking of ways to fix his mistake, straying from the methods that were...morally questioning, like batting her head in public with the memory banana. Or to let her live her life thinking that she had now suddenly developed auditory hallucinations.
"Sir?" his train of thought halt, feeling a hand poke at his sleeve. He looked back, his body still facing forwards, but you could feel the cold gaze he had on you. When you fall quiet, he tilts his head--reading through your mind, he understands that you're starting to regret trying to confront what could simply be just your imagination.
To which, you give up, you just bow your head down and point at an advertisement starring a new delectable dessert package here in the market. "Which aisle..?" you say, just above a whisper, embarrassment creeping in as you retract your shaking hand from sight.
"Aisle 5, with the snacks."
. . .
"HUH?!" you shout a gasp in shock, jumping back like a stray cat.
'Good Grief...' the psychic mutters, realizing his mistake, once again.
--
One thing about losing one sense of the human anatomy, it trains all your other senses to heighten. Maybe that was why he couldn't get rid of you now. No lie was good enough, no excuse lasted long enough, and nothing intrigued you more than how he could talk to you.
He's tried to wipe your memory, however, you've soon become so benign, so grateful, in his presence that he gave in to your desire to hear something other than the blurred sounds you could hear off your hearing aide.
All you wanted was a voice to hear.
To talk to without feeling misunderstood or slowed down, because you couldn't talk right or that others couldn't understand you signed language.
Saiki simply lets you feel into this human experience that you haven't felt for so long--at the cost of manipulating your thinking pattern into thinking that you could hear him because of some telepathic that you had, with him.
So when people may ask you why you're always talking to him as if you could hear him, all you'd reply with was (even though Saiki would prefer to not be associated with anybody, or so he says):
"We're just friends like that" you hum, with a smile on your lips.
requests are kinda fun... hopefully my first shot wasn't that bad tho--

growing pains | geto suguru
[ GIRL DAD!SUGURU doesn't think he can handle his growing girls ] fluff!!!
"kohana, hold still," suguru pleads, voice muffled just slightly by the hair tie clenched between his teeth, brows creased together in concentration as he attempts to tame the locks of onyx silk on the little girl sitting not-so-still in front of him. the poor guy still had her omelette in the pan when she came begging to have her hair done the way she saw you do yours.
and of course, suguru being the softie he was, could only hold his large hand out with a sigh as she dropped a few accessories in his palm to adorn her hair with. you had a stressful night at work last night, a meeting run overtime well past the girls' bedtimes (which he knew put you in the worst of moods because you absolutely adored your little ones), so he knew he had to take over the morning shift with the girls today.
perhaps it was your absence which left the two girls a little more chaotic than usual, their normally neutralized demeanors suddenly nowhere to be seen. luckily he was able to convince the youngest, kaiyah, to finish her breakfast with the persuasion of some cartoons, not to mention, her short hair needed nothing more than brushing and the correctly colored bow.
your oldest on the other hand was a little tricky. though independently dressing herself now, she didn't quite have the skill to do some of the hairstyles by herself. and because you were nowhere to be seen, it only seemed reasonable to ask her papa.
"daddy, i'm hungry!" though she's not as loud, kohana resembles you in both her stubbornness and pout, a look she wears as often as the slight furrow in her brow when she disapproves of something.
suguru can only hum, tying the last bit of hair up to resemble the look she wanted. the lotus hairpin was the last bit of decoration he added before finally allowing her to hop up from her seat and join her sister at the kitchen island for breakfast. when he stands, the dark-haired male is quick to help his eldest to some utensils before placing her plate in front of her, moving to start the dishes while the two eat.
"itadakimasu~!" kohana begins digging in without a second thought, a small smile coming to pull at the tired man's lips.
when the two girls finish, they place their plates by the sink, allowing suguru to retrieve them for a rinse before being placed in the dishwasher. "alright girls, go get your shoes, please."
there's giggling followed by small footsteps as the two go rushing to the front closet where all the shoes are kept. he finishes soon after drying his hands on a towel before going to check in on the girls, two backpacks in either hand. velcro in place on both of their shoes, kaiyah and kohana are already reaching for their bags, smiles on their faces as the oldest laughs out a "thank you" and the youngest mutters a small "thank you, daddy".
"alright girls, are you ready?"
"mhm!" kohana replies, turning to her sister and grabbing her hand. "let's go!"
they're just stepping out of the door when kaiyah, your youngest, turns to look over her shoulder at her awaiting father, causing him to halt in his follwoing footsteps. "daddy, you don't have to worry about us, we can go by ourselves!"
and this moment only leaves him dumbfounded, as he had planned to walk them to their usual bus stop like always. when did this routine stop? had you known about this?
"w-well, are you sure?" suguru scratches the back of his neck, thinking of the worst of this proposition, "i don't mind, i love walking with you girls..."
kohana only giggles at her father, urging her little sister by where they are linked at the hands. "we'll be late daddy, we have to go!"
and so he lets them, his waving hand slowly coming to a stop when he sees the two skip out of sight and into the street from the front door. it's not a big thing, but it's something, and poor suguru who didn't think much of the idea of letting his daughters go but if it felt this way when they were this small, he wasn't sure if he could keep doing this.
and so when he finally closes the front door and moves back to the kitchen to clean up, he finds a little bit of relief for his aching heart, settling back into the comfort of the sheets with you in the master bedroom. you stir a little, sleepy eyes finding his with a soft smile.
"mm, suguru? what's wrong?" the male doesn't make much of a reply, only sighing as you pull him into your embrace, your warm chasing the tension from his frame.
there's a moment of silence before you hear him inhale, letting out a small sigh before his violet irises meet yours. "you didn't tell me they walk themselves now..."
and you smile, teeth pulling at your lip to bite back your laugh. you loved your husband, but this was too damn adorable. "hmm, they're growing up, huh?" you bring a hand to thread through his hair, and he closes his eyes for a second, his lips pressing a chaste kiss against your forearm as you continue your ministrations.
"i... knew this would come, but i didn't think..." suguru doesn't have to finish what he's saying for you to understand, because you felt the same thing when kohana asked to dress herself or when kaiyah started putting her dirty dishes on the counter to help you after dinner. "is it supposed to hurt?"
you laugh a little, your hand pressing against his face before offering him a small kiss. "it's just growing pains, honey," you say softly, "it doesn't get better but it'll make your memories happier."
your husband sighs, pulling you closer to settle into the crook of your neck. he breathes you in deeply and the two of you lay for a moment together in your little world of peace. "...okay."
you hum, "okay?"
"okay," he replies.

Sylus x gn!Reader
The ending feels a little meh BUT I'm gonna use it to lead into the next fic in the series. You'll see. Also there are kids screaming outside????? I'm so confused rn

The mission is deceptively simple: Little Miss Hunter will pose as a waitress in one of Sylus’s clubs, working undercover to uncover the ex-boyfriend of one of the dancers. As soon as the club’s manager heard about the dancer’s ex stalking her, trying to get her alone, Sylus did, too. As scary and unapproachable as he comes across, he does care about the people who work for him.
You could have taken the role from her easily, or even gotten a job as a dancer to have a more advantageous position, but Sylus refused. It was only a couple months ago that you’d relived that hell. There was no way he would put you into a similar situation so soon.
It’s not that you aren’t capable, you know that. You’d only fully recovered a few weeks ago, the scars on your back mementos to the end of a nightmare. Still, the time it took to heal meant no working - not even to sit in Sylus’s lap as he goes over contracts. You were antsy, you were restless. And you were helping Little Miss Hunter get in her uniform.
You adjust the collar, a little rougher than necessary. Sylus catches it from where he stands leaning against the wall, but says nothing. Miss Hunter tries to swat you away. “You don’t need to be so intense!” You ignore her in favor of fixing her name tag and checking her earpiece. She was stiff under your fingers, uncomfortable with being so close to someone who clearly didn’t like her - even more in this moment, it seems, than usual.
“He’s in his mid-20s, short curly hair, blonde, with square glasses,” Sylus reminds her. “You’ll be serving drinks in the area around Tanya’s stage, where he’s most likely to be lurking.”
“Don’t you have bouncers for this sort of thing?” she huffs.
You step behind her. She tries to turn her head to see what you’re doing, but you push her chin to face forward again. Her hair is too long, presenting a clear hazard in the bustle of the crowds and the difficult job of waitressing. You gather it up and tie it into a secure bun at the back of her head.
He tilts his head, unimpressed. “Of course, sweetie. I run a legitimate operation here, despite what you may think of me.” He crosses his arms, finger tapping against his bicep. “His Evol allows him to change his appearance, meaning with a few easy steps, he can forge his ID to be anyone he wants and slip inside unnoticed. You’re good at reading people. I’m sure you’ll find him in no time.”
You carefully insert a hairpin into the bun. She reaches back to feel it, the design on the decorative tip indecipherable to her fingers alone.
“If he figures you out or you get cornered, use that,” Sylus says seriously, nodding to the pin. “In the right hands, it can do some damage. Even if you can only manage to scratch your attacker, it’s coated in a fast-acting toxin.” Before she can protest, he adds, “Just enough to make them sleepy, sweetie. You won’t be killing anyone tonight.”
With the finishing touches of her outfit complete, you step back toward Sylus. Little Miss Hunter can’t help feeling intimidated by the Onychinus boss and his guard dog, allies or no.
“Ready?”
She nods with steadfast determination. “Ready.”
-
Sylus studies the shifting crowds through the surveillance cameras hidden around the club. Luke and Kieran watch the monitors, as well. From here, he can keep an eye on Miss Hunter’s movements. Deciphering faces in the crowd is another issue; he can make out some features here and there as the lights pass over them, but anything specific is impossible to make out.
You lounge on a sofa overlooking the entire club. It’s a private area, closed off from the general public, and shrouded in plenty of shadow to obscure your presence from anyone who isn’t looking for you. You idly swirl a martini glass of water, decorated with an olive, to give the impression of someone drinking. You act as an eye in the sky, watching for anything suspicious from a distance that isn’t caught on camera.
Miss Hunter picks up a tray of drinks from the bartender and begins making rounds to long couches and small tables to drop them off with a smile. They’re further from the stage, but she has to pass by the crowd every time she returns to the bar. It’s the perfect place to be to spot someone acting oddly.
The lights focus as Tanya comes on stage. She’s objectively beautiful, it can’t be argued otherwise. The skimpy costume draws attention to her curves and the plush of her stomach. She smiles seductively as she dances for the guests, tan skin glowing under the lights like she’s meant to be there.
You know she’s being treated like a queen here - Sylus would never settle for less - yet you’re reminded of the other girls you knew once, who were starved and worked to the bone for money they wouldn’t see a dime of. You still remember the feeling of cold metal from the pole against your palms.
The Second Circle doesn’t exist anymore. After that night, after everything the police uncovered, it was stripped out and sits empty, waiting to be bought by some upstart business. All that remains is the imprint of the logo on the wall. You still see those neon lights in your nightmares.
“Raven, I’ve lost sight of the Dove. Do you see her?”
Fuck. You got so caught up in your head-
You scan the crowd by the stage, the couches, the tables. There’s no sign of a waitress anywhere in that section, and especially not Little Miss Hunter. You get up from the private couch and slip into the shadows of the exit, already calculating everywhere she could have gone off to.
-
The woman she kept seeing wasn’t ordering drinks the entire time she was there, which wasn’t unusual in of itself, except that all she did was stare at the stage, waiting for something to happen. Once Tanya finally went on, she seemed to become antsy and entranced. Miss Hunter was just going to slip into the employee backroom to let Sylus know what she saw. She didn’t realize the woman had followed her.
The thumping music in the main room covers up her shout as hands grab her and shove her into the wall. There’s no one else in the room.
She punches at the woman, falling back on her Hunter training and the sparring she did with Sylus. Her hand connects with a square jaw. The woman that followed her in was now a man, fitting the description of the suspect to a T. A fist in return crashes against her cheek. Before she can call for help, a hand covers her mouth, shoving her head back into the hard wall. He grabs her hair, dislodging the hairpin and loosening the tight bun. She claws at his arms. She tries to reach for his face. The hand in her hair pulls her off the wall and to the ground. She stares up at her assaulter, trying to figure a way out of this mess when the door is behind him and she’s being backed into a corner.
She doesn’t have to think for long.
You grab the man by his hair and kick in the back of his knee. He falls like dead weight, and you direct that momentum into slamming him against the wall she’d just been pressed up against. His face impacts with a harsh crack. His glasses are skewed on his face, and blood drips freely from his nose.
You turn sharply toward Miss Hunter. You approach so fast, she’s scared you’re going to attack her next. She holds up her arms in defense on pure instinct. You just huff and grab her arms, hauling her back up to her feet. Her back is against the wall again, but as a support this time. You push her arms down from her face.
She gasps when you grab her chin, tilting her head this way and that, studying her. You frown at the early bruises beginning to form around her mouth and the cut along her cheekbone. The distinct shape of fingertips slowly start to darken where the man had silenced her. You let her go in favor of checking the rest of her over, searching for any more injuries. Thankfully, you find none. You finally meet her eyes.
She has no idea what to make of you anymore. You’ve hated her guts ever since she was dragged into the N109 Zone. You tease and taunt her through your actions, glare at her when she talks with Sylus. You even climbed into his lap once when she was connected to him by that red energy, curling up to him like a damn cat. And now here you are, checking her for injuries when you could be worried about securing the target.
You reach past her head and pull out the hairpin. You hold it pointedly in front of her face and raise a brow at her, silently questioning why she didn’t use it. She sheepishly takes it from your fingers, flushing with embarrassment.
“I forgot,” she mutters.
You step away. Sylus’s voice comes in over the earpiece. “I’m glad you two are finally getting along,” he teases. You catch the truth in his words, honing in on the nearby security camera to glare at him. He chuckles richly. “I’m on my way.”
A quiet click alerts you before anything else. You slam your shoulder against the wall beside Miss Hunter, covering her with your body just as a loud bang and a sharp burn skids across your neck. The door slams open. She peers around you to watch Sylus’s Evol disintegrate the gun in the target’s hand. It’s small, easily concealable. Sylus lifts the man up by his scruff and shoves him at the twins.
“Deal with him,” he orders gruffly. It’s a far cry from how he sounded just seconds ago, but the blood at your neck hadn’t escaped his notice. Just a little to the side and you would be dead. The thought alone terrified him.
Miss Hunter watches him quickly cross the distance, turning you to fully face him so he can assess the damage. It’s not too bad, thankfully. Deep enough to bleed for a bit, but shallow enough it didn’t hit anything major. He grabs a few napkins from the table at the center of the room and presses them down on the wound. You replace his hands to keep the pressure yourself, nodding your head toward her. She feels just as under scrutiny under his stare as she did under yours. He sighs.
“I’ll have the medic look you over when we get back. You might want to hide those bruises from your boss for a few days, sweetie. People will start to wonder just what you get up to in your spare time.”
She flushes with the implications and hits his arm. He doesn’t so much as flinch. “I’m not the one who lost me on the cameras.”
He scoffs. “Blame the twins, sweetie. It’s their oversight that led to this.” He gestures to the hairpin still clutched in her hands. “You had the means to defend yourself. Use them next time.”
Before their bickering can go on, you step between them to grab more napkins from the table. The old ones stick to your bloody skin when you pull them away. You quickly replace them. Seeing your injury was enough to shut them both up, no matter how minor it really was. You turn to leave.
“Thank you,” Little Miss says quickly, trying to get it out before you step out the door. You look at her, expression neutral if not a bit exasperated. She offers a smile. It looks jarring against the purpling bruises, but you nod anyway. You glance at Sylus, then exit the backroom to go wait in the car.
“They must like you,” Sylus comments with a smirk.
She rolls her eyes and smacks him again on her way out. “Shut up or I’ll stab you with the hairpin.”
“Oh, I’m terrified.”
-
You sit still, eyes closed and head tilted to the side, as Sylus tends to the bullet-made cut on your neck. He has you up on the bathroom counter, standing between your legs as he gently disinfects and bandages the area. Once it is securely protected from outside elements, he brushes a kiss over it.
“Thank you for protecting her,” he whispers. You open your eyes and tilt your head back up to look at him. His expression is so open, genuine. He really means it; not that you needed to see it to know that. “I know you two didn’t exactly get off on the right foot.”
You give him a wry smile. You look away from his face to seek out his hand, resting on the counter beside you. He offers no resistance as you pick it up, your palm to the back of his hand as you intertwine your fingers together and draw him up to your lips. You close your eyes as you press a kiss to his palm, before nuzzling into it. “I know you’re mine,” you whisper back. You look back up at him, resting your cheek in his hand. “And… Mephisto is starting to like her.”
He chuckles softly. “Oh? Is that all?” He smiles at your little nod. Mischief flickers in your eyes before you shut them to press your face into his hand some more. It’s endearing. You’ve let yourself relax around him, allowed yourself to indulge in his touch like this. Which reminds him…
He brushes his thumb against your cheek, trailing his hand to your jaw to guide your attention back to him. There’s a slight furrow in his brow and something heavy in his eyes. “What happened on your end?”
Ah. Caught red handed. You avoid his eyes in favor of following the line of his nose, the dip of his cupid’s bow.
He leans forward to nudge his nose against yours, drawing you back into his gaze once more. “Tell me.”
“The dancer…” You sigh, closing your eyes and shaking your head. “I got distracted.”
He knows exactly what you mean. He cradles your face with purpose, fingers pressing lightly to the back of your neck, keeping you close as he rests his forehead against yours. “No more clubs for a while,” he promises. “Someone else can deal with them.”
You can’t disagree, not when you got someone else on the mission hurt because of the environment getting to you. For all your pouting about being relegated to watch, you know he always had good intentions for keeping you off the ground.
He pulls away, but not without leaving a kiss on your forehead. He flips the hold you have on his hand to be holding yours so he can help you off the counter. “The chef is making your favorite. It should be finished by now.”
He swears he falls a little more in love with the way your eyes light up in excitement. The little bounce in your step as you drag him down to the kitchen mirrors the skip of his heart. And when you see Miss Hunter there, thanking you again for saving her, you even offer her a slight smile.
Sitting at the dining table, the Twins bickering with Little Miss and you sneaking his robotic crow bits of food that he doesn’t need, he’s never felt more at home.

Hey I saw your requests were open and wanted to ask you if you could a do how would the bachelor's react to reader's/farmer's fuck ass haircut? I just cut my own bangs and it's all crooked and need some comfort 🥺
Hey I'm so sorry this has been in my inbox for so long!! Thank you very much for sending, this was so funny to think about. Hope your bangs have grown out since :')
March
You already know March would be brutal. He's not good at expressing himself and, especially before you're an actual couple and he starts to put effort into not hurting your feelings, he wouldn't think twice about insulting your haircut.
If you came up to him after ruining your hair, he wouldn't be able to hide his confused scowl and ask "what did you do to your hair?"
If you find it funny and laugh, he'll probably laugh as well and continue teasing you. He'd probably say something like, you shouldn't be allowed to smelt hot metal if you can't even cut your bangs correctly.
He would laugh if you met him where he was and teased him back, especially about how he can't dye his own hair so he shouldn't be talking.
If you had a different reaction, however, and got upset or embarrassed and walked away, he'd probably reflect on how you were likely feeling pretty self-conscious and realize that was a low blow.
He'd apologize next time he saw you, rolling his eyes and attempting to fix his comment a bit by saying "at least hair grows back."
Ryis
Ryis would probably notice it right away. He pays close attention to you, and he can likely tell you're feeling self-conscious.
He'd try to preserve your feelings the best he could. He'd ask about it lightly and casually. "Hey Y/N, did you get a new haircut? I like it."
You'd definitely blush and get super embarrassed, saying that you know the haircut sucks. Even though Ryis might secretly agree that it's not exactly the best look, he definitely would not agree to you putting yourself down like that.
"What are you talking about, it's fine! You always look nice, so your haircut doesn't really matter, anyways."
If you're truly upset about it, he'd continue to reassure you and tell you that you look beautiful regardless. But thankfully hair does grow back if you truly don't like it!
He'll continue to compliment you as it grows back so you don't doubt whether he still finds you attractive.
Eiland
Eiland is a sweetheart and would try to calm you down if you were upset about the haircut you gave yourself. A lot of reassurance about your beauty and his love for you regardless.
He'd probably start telling you some interesting facts about historical hairstyles of Aldaria or something, as a way to distract you. You may or may not find it annoying in the moment.
If you're still feeling unhappy, he'd offer to pay to get your hair fixed by Vera or some other expensive hairstylist in the Capital.
He'd continue to attempt to reassure you that you look very pretty regardless and this sort of thing happened to everyone! In fact, he read on an Alda-period stone tablet that a woman once cut her own hair and....
Balor
It's rare that Balor loses his cool charm, but you see it waver in his face for a moment when you first see each other after the haircut.
He'd try to deny it and turn the charm all the way up to compensate, telling you that you look absolutely radiant today (even though you look beautiful every day!). You'd see through it right away and call him out on it.
He may try to deny it at first, but eventually agrees that it's not the best haircut. He does emphasize, however, that even something like a bad haircut couldn't detract from your beauty at all and you do still look lovely.
He'd hold back a bit of a laugh when you give him a blank stare from behind your crooked bangs, though.
He just happens to generously gift you a set of beautiful gold hairpins from the Capital. Perfect timing. He'll tell you the hairpins compliment your eyes very well once he's no longer distracted by the funny-looking fringe.
Hayden
Hayden wouldn't even notice honestly. He always thinks you look beautiful and wouldn't sweat small details like that.
If you came to him and showed him how you messed up your hair, he'd probably laugh and tell you not to think anything of it!
"I cut my own hair all the time, Y/N. It's probably a mess but that's just fine by me!" He likes you however you are, with whatever you decide to do with your appearance.
If you were to tell him that you thought you looked unattractive or that you were embarrassed and didn't want anyone to look at you, he'd get genuinely upset. He truly doesn't understand how you don't see yourself as beautiful, and especially over such a small thing!
He'd continue to tell you not to pay it any mind, that hair grows back, and that no one would even notice. He genuinely thinks the latter because he wouldn't have noticed it had you not pointed it out.
He'd lend you one of his big hats to cover your hair with while you wait for it to grow out, if you wanted.

I'm pretty sure you could charm the socks off anyone, but I'd like to keep mine on for now.
Stan x Reader
words: 1,188
tags: sfw, fluff, breaking out of a cell together
This was supposed to be a fresh new start and look at yourself now: Your first week living in Gravity Falls and you're already spending the night in a jail cell. Just perfect.
You had been so sure that those two policemen that always stuck together were unobservant and fully incompetent at their job. And to be fair, you might still be right on that. But not even those two were stupid enough to let you go with the way they caught you red-handed.
You had spent the whole day staking out that auto yard. The one that was owned by the father of that telepathy kid. And you knew that his kid had a show that night, so you were sure he wouldn't be at that junkyard of his.
He wasn't, but he had called in to the police and arranged with them that they would patrol the place every couple hours. He must have had some more recent attempts on his property.
And it was so silly, too. You just needed a new handbrake because yours had quite literally snapped in half somehow. But the guy wouldn't sell it to you for less than 200 bucks. Who has that kind of money? So naturally, you decided to just take it when he wasn't looking.
As luck would have it, you crawled out and over the fence just as those policemen were making the rounds. They took you back to the precinct and locked you in a holding cell before you even had a chance to touch one of the cars.
So now, the only thing they could really charge you for was breaking and entering, or... just entering, you didn’t break anything. But you were determined to get out of this somehow. There really was no need for this to be the first thing the people in this town knew about you.
As the night had dragged on they found another guy that they threw in the same cell. They actually only had one so there would have been nowhere else to put him. You barely acknowledged each other. He just went to sleep, deciding to sort it all out the next day. Eventually, you did the same.
You woke up to the sound of keys jingling and immediately sat upright. When the shorter of the policemen, the sheriff, walked past you to his desk you spoke up. "You know, I didn’t stand a chance against you last night. With a guy as fit and athletic as you... I wouldn't have been able to escape you if I tried."
The sheriff blushed. "Ohoho... you really think so?" A deep and gruff chuckle emanated from the man behind you. You hadn't realized he was awake. "Of course, just look at you! You're really taking care of yourself and it shows!"
The policeman walked up to your cell with a big smile on his face. "Tell me mor-" He was interrupted when his loud deputy barged into the room with a bell, shouting at the top of his lungs. "Ooo!! Susan's holdin' a Pie eatin' contest!!"
Not two seconds later the two were out the door. You sighed in disappointment and sat back down. Guess you won't be getting out of here anytime soon. Or so you thought.
About a minute after the policemen were gone two children, a boy and a girl, sneaked into the police station and to your cell. The old man you had been stuck with got up and walked to the cell door. "There you are, kids! Good job getting Lazy Susan involved."
The girl quickly took a hairpin out of her hair and went to work on the lock. The boy looked proudly at the old guy as he spoke. "The pie eating contest may have been slightly exaggerated." The old man laughed heartily. "That's my boy!"
The girl had by now managed to pick the lock and gave the guy a million watt grin as she opened the door for him. He ruffled her hair affectionately as he left the cell. Then the old guy looked at you with a smirk. "You comin' or what?"
You wanted to protest but more than that you wanted to get out of here. So, instead of saying anything, you just followed them out of the police station.
Before you could thank them and leave the old man spoke up again. "You can crash with us for a bit. At least until those two idiots forget about us. Which should be about... two hours." He laughed again and you were beginning to enjoy the sound of it.
You agreed and took your place in the golf cart that apparently belonged to them. The old man drove and the boy sat next to him. You and the girl sat in the back. The whole drive she looked at you with wide eyes and a mischievous aura about her.
After a few minutes the four of you arrived at a wooden house somewhere in the forest. It was a tourist trap that you'd read about somewhere. Was the old guy the owner? No wonder he got in trouble with the police.
As the four of you walked up to the door the old man halted and slapped himself in the face. "Where are my manners?" He turned to you, one hand outstretched. "The name's Stan Pines, owner of the Mystery Shack!" He gave you a big grin and you shook his hand, introducing yourself as well.
On your way to the living room the children had introduced themselves as well. Mabel and Dipper. They also called Stan their 'Grunkle', which could mean... great uncle?
"By the way, I really liked what you were going for with the sheriff back there. I bet it would have worked if we didn’t have our own thing going on." Stan smirked at you as he sat down on the only couchchair in the living room.
You looked around and grabbed one of the chairs from a table in the corner and brought it over to the tv. "Thanks. What can I say, I am incredibly charming." You playfully batted your eyes at him with a smirk on your lips. It earned you another deep chuckle from the old man.
Out of the corner of your eyes you saw the kids standing in the doorway to the living room. The girl was jumping up and down and shaking her brother by the shoulders as she tried and failed to suppress a squeal.
"Oh yeah. I bet. I'm pretty sure you could charm the socks off anyone," he glanced over at the kids and then leaned closer to you, putting one hand to his mouth as if that would keep them from hearing his words, "but I'd like to keep mine on for now." He smirked at you as he leaned back in his chair.
You tried to fight off the blush that was making its way to your cheeks and turned to look at the tv. Stan watched you do that and chuckled again. Oh man, what have you gotten yourself into?

Tension. (the last part)
⁎ warnings: romantic slasher ? mentions of a knife, mentions of AND !murder!, mentions of blood, manipulation, angst, female!reader.
⁎ summary: you fell for him. hard. the murders started, and you knew it was him. billy lured you into his dark and twisted intentions. it was so wrong. but it doesn't feel wrong... there was something stopping you. or someone.
⁎ author note: here's the last part for yall :). im planning to write like a few headcanons abt scream and then move on to something else. if you have any requests, dont be afraid to ask :) ill keep it anonymous. thanks !
You thought it was over. After you and Billy moved in together, you really believed the killing was behind you, that you could finally just be together without all the blood and chaos. But you should've known better. Billy always had a way of pulling you back in, no matter how much you wanted out.
When he asked you to do it again, you felt your stomach drop. You dreaded it. Every part of you screamed that this wasn't what you signed up for—this wasn't the life you imagined when you ran away with him. But then he looked at you, that look that always made you weak, and you realized you'd never be able to say no. You still loved him, no matter what.
So here you were. Scared, but ready. You'd do anything for him. As always.
Your hands were trembling as you stood in front of the mirror, staring at your reflection. You already hurt too many people, already crossed too many lines. The thought of doing it again, of killing Gale, stealing money... You took deep breaths, trying to steady yourself.
Billy came into the room, his face calm, completely unfazed. He was just focused on the plan. "You ready ?" he asked, barely looking at you, focused more on the task of killing Gale and getting the money than on you. You shook your head, your voice merely a whisper. "No…" you sniffled. He turned to you with a frown on his face, stepping closer. "Hey," he said softly, his tone shifting. "You've done this before. You're fine. We've come far. We can't stop now." he said. "This is it, okay ? You finish this, and you're done. No more running, no more hiding. Just us."
You bit your lip, tearing up. You didn't wanna do this again, you didn't want to be that person anymore. But when Billy looked at you like that, all soft and content, it made it harder to say no. "You love me, right ?" he asked in a whisper, his eyes gazing into yours. You nodded, unable to say anything, your heart beating faster and faster every second. "Then trust me." he said, pressing a kiss to your cheek. "We've got this. Just one more time."
His words got to you again. Your heart was pounding as you got ready to go outside, the fear evident in your body language. But no matter how scared you were, you couldn’t back out now. You loved him. You'd always do whatever it took to prove it.
After he had reassured you that everything was going to be okay, you were ready to go out and do the job. ''It's gonna be okay, it's gonna be over soon.'' you told yourself before grabbing your bag and put your mask, knife and costume in it. ''Remember, bring the money to me after you took it, okay ?'' Billy told you, leaning on a wall. You looked at him before nodding. ''I will... I love you.'' you told him, just in case. The end of his lips curved upwards as he looked at you. ''Love you too. Be safe.'' he said.
You stepped outside and started walking towards Gale's home. You already knew where she lived. Unfortunately this time, you wish you didn't. You took a deep breath, trying to steady yourself, but your heart wouldn’t stop racing. This was it. You didn’t have a choice anymore. You reached over, grabbing the mask and slipping it over your face, the familiar cold feeling settling in as the fabric clung to your skin. It was suffocating. But this was who you had to be tonight. Just for him.
You snuck past the gate, walking to the back of her house. You quietly took out a hairpin and picked the lock before the backdoor opened with a small creak. You knew didn't know if Gale was home or not, but you knew that she was very alert. So you quietly tiptoed inside her house making sure she didn't hear you. Then, you pulled the knife out, your hand trembling as you gripped it tight, hiding in the kitchen closet. You waited and waited until you heard some motion.
You hear a few footsteps coming downstairs, bracing yourself for what's about to happen next. As you hear the footsteps stop right infront of you, the closet door opens and it reveals Gale. You quickly act and stab her stomach before she could react. She yelped in pain as she put her hand on the place she got stabbed. You stabbed her chest continuously until she went completely limp and eventually, dead. You panted as you watched her take her last breath. You quickly snapped out of it and look around for any trace of cash or money. You run upstairs, desperate to find the money.
You eventually find her bedroom and went in. you yanked open the closet doors, digging through shoes, boxes, anything that could hide what you were looking for. And then you saw it, a small lockbox shoved into the corner. You grabbed it, fumbling with the lock, cursing under your breath when it didn't open right away. You weren't thinking straight, hands trembling as you tried to focus. Finally, the lock clicked open, and there it was—the money. Stacks of cash, just sitting there like it was waiting for you.
You quickly grabbed all the stacks of cash and put them in your backpack, wanting to leave this place as quick as you could. You finished taking the money and ran downstairs towards the back door, but... it was locked ? You pulled on the door handle, trying to open the door but it wouldn't budge. You hear a few footsteps behind you. You slowly turn around to see Billy, standing in the middle of the living room, knife in hand. You didn't even hear him come in. ''Wow. You really did it. Not that it was unexpected...'' he said with the sly smirk that always lured you into his tricks. You take off the mask before showing the frown you had on your face. What was he doing here ? ''Billy... w-what are you doing here ?'' you asked with confusion. Billy took a few slow steps towards you, toying with the knife in his hand.
''Oh... just came to check on you babe. Good job.'' he said with a nod, looking back at Gale's lifeless body on the floor. You backed up till your back hit the wall, intimidated by his body language. ''You were always so good to me. And i appreciate that. Honestly, without you, i wouldn't be where i am right now. You helped me.'' he said, his eyes narrowing as he got closer, now inches away from you. Your breath hitched, barely containing eye contact. You were just so confused... ''But... I'm afraid all good things come to an end.'' he said before you felt a sharp pain in your abdomen. You look down to see some blood dripping down the floor. You didn't realize what he did until Billy smirked at you, hand hovering over your cheek. A tear rolled down your cheek. You felt betrayal, pain, anger, sadness all in one. You couldn't believe it. All this time, you were just bait. All the ''I love you's'' he said to you, were all fake. All of it was fake.
''Hey... it's okay.'' he said softly, removing the knife from your stomach. You let out a whimper, holding onto his shoulder, trying to look for any sympathy in his eyes. But there was none. ''The police are on their way. If you're lucky enough, maybe you've already stopped breathing before they found you...'' he said, smirking softly. He then stabbed you twice more, no remorse in his actions at all. You let out a sob as you slowly felt your heartbeat slow down. ''Why...?'' you managed to choke out. Billy looked at you and tilted his head softly. ''This isn't a fairytale. Like i told you, I don't believe in love.'' he said coldly before you dropped to the floor, holding your stomach as you coughed up some blood, seeing your life flash before your eyes. Billy took the backpack full of money, looking at you one last time. ''Thank you for everything.'' he said before leaving the house, leaving you for dead.
The last thing you saw before your vision went black were the police sirens, the loud siren echoing in your ears. The thing that disgusted you the most is, no matter what he did, no matter how cruel he was;
You'd always love him.
The End.
