kinda don't know how people get addicted to energy drinks, like I do Know I understand addiction more than I'd like however. I could never. not a flex at all. but maybe it's my weird brain or maybe I just don't have the likely-to-have-addictions trait or something but. I remember when I was like 14? maybe? something around that and I was friends with this girl and her family for some reason had like boxes, huge ass boxes of red bull and face and body creams that her truck driving father got Somewhere. like. Boxes. so for the few months when I was very close friends with her and at her house a lot we would drink a shitton of red bull and honestly? it was mid. I stopped being friends with her after a year or something and I never had the urge or craving to get an energy drink. they kinda suck ass. but these days I have an epileptic brain and sensitive teeth so I don't like 1 caffeine I only like the taste of coffee when it's iced, hot or warm is not even mid but gross this is not even a Oh No My Brain thing this is a This Tastes Bad thing 2 most sweetened/fizzy drinks but that's mostly because they immediately make my teeth hurt really bad even when I drink them through a straw so. I be drinking water, tea and carrot juice. sometimes cocoa. what can you do tho whateverrrr bad choices and shit NOT A FLEX

Rainy Days Homestuck Headcanons

John: of course whips out every single goddamn one of his favorite movies who are y'all kidding!! The trolls haven’t seen them, he has to enlighten them. Karkat leaves the room the second John says, “hey guys! What if we-” because he knows what’s coming and he will not be here for it no sir. For reasons beyond any and all comprehension, Terezi becomes absolutely obsessed with the Ghostbusters. Whether she likes the way they handle “ghost justice” or she just likes licking the screen when the ghostly baddies show up, even John regrets showing them to her and everyone admits that it was a grave mistake.

Jade: on her island she used to like going out into the puddles and hunting for frogs. Um. She doesn’t want to do that anymore or possibly ever again. She still likes to take a rain slicker and some boots and go for walks in the rain tho, she’ll find a nice place to sit and be alone with her thoughts. Sometimes Jake will go with her and they’ll sit and listen to the wind in the trees and the roar of the rain together, but more often than not she makes the trek alone. Once Jane realizes this, Jade always comes home to a nice cup of hot cocoa waiting for her on the counter. She warms right up before even taking a sip because this, this is what having a family is supposed to feel like. Not some taxidermic guardian staring her down.

Dave: Uses the time to work on his sick beats which have, surprisingly for everyone but him, become extremely popular with the citizens of Earth C. They don’t know what the mysterious “Obama” creature is that the Knight of Time references so often, and conspiracy theories grow by the thousands. Was he an ancient deity? A fallen ally? A worthy foe? Entire websites are dedicated to putting the pieces together. Dave will also build blanket forts with Karkat in which they watch only the worst and cheesiest of romcoms, no one else is allowed in. Except the Mayor. Cuddles may or may not ensue.

Rose: knits way too many scarves in an attempt not to think about the rain because she is 1000% Done With Rain. She has zero good memories associated with this goddamn precipitation. It reminds her of her drunken mother and of the unfinished quest that still haunts her. To keep her mind off things, she spends rainy days obsessively poring over ancient tomes, writing drafts for “Complacency of the Learned”, and more often than she would care to admit, reading Roxy’s wizard fan fiction. It’s very good and she’s extremely proud. When the power goes out and Rose can no longer see the pages, Kanaya is always there, ready to light the room with her skin and her smile.

Kanaya: shares a similar aversion to frogs as Jade, but can’t help but be fascinated by the rain because she’s never seen it before. Rain on Alternia was extremely rare, even more so for her because she lived in a desert region. It takes her a very long time to get used to thunder, and the first time she heard it her chainsaw was out in record time and she was running around trying to figure out just what the fuck was happening. Once it had been explained to her by a patient, trying her best not to break down into hysterical laughter Rose, Kanaya felt pretty embarrassed but admitted that her reaction had been funny. She loves seeing lightning in the distance, and sometimes tries to light up at the same time.

Karkat: Dave and Roxy show him earth musicals and boy howdy does he fucking love musicals. He was very skeptical at first, but after being assured of romantic content succumbs to the intense peer pressure. Dave’s favorite is Hamilton because anything that can combine rap and history (aka dead things and presidents) is truly the highest form of art. He may or may not know every word to every rap. Karkat, however, latches on to Wicked and does. Not. Let. Go. He relates immensely to the off-color mutant human who stands up for what they believe in and faces incredible odds to become the best!! And she gets a love interest in the end! Karkat argues the entire time that Elphaba and Glinda had a million times more chemistry than Fiyerwho Gives A Fuck, but still cries every time at the end because he’s so happy that Elphaba is happy. Dave often catches him humming the soundtrack and teases him mercilessly for it, but is secretly glad that he helped Karkat find something he cares so much about.

Terezi: Thanks to John, now screams “WHO YA GONNA CALL” every time a ‘crime’ is committed and Justice™ needs to be served. John accuses her of debasing a classic, to which she responds by licking his face and telling him that nobody listens to losers who taste like blueberries. Likes to catch raindrops in her mouth and LOVES the sound of thunder, sounds like sweet, sweet music to her ears. Loves “watching” (smelling) the humans trip all over when the lights go out because cmon just smell your way through it! Trolls have night vision and do not trip, which Terezi finds massively disappointing.

Jane: Cooks the entire time. Raining out? Guess we’re having more cake, everyone! She tries a new flavor combination every time, so far the favorite is lemon cake with raspberry frosting, and the least favorite was carrot cake with mint frosting. Not a good time. She also likes to try out Alternian recipes for the challenge, not to mention because the troll kids are a little sick of human food. After a few months Jane manages to produce a close approximation of grubloaf and it was the happiest cry Karkat had since the time Dave told him they should probably date or something.

Jake: watches the storm through the window, sometimes goes and sits by the ocean to watch the wind stir up the waves. Something about growing up on the island makes Jake and Jade more in tune with the weather, they can feel it deep in their bones whenever a big storm is coming. It also gives them a strange sense of melancholy. Dirk tries to comfort him but there’s something ancient in Jake’s eyes whenever the clouds roll in. Sometimes it’s best when they sit quietly, watching the storm together.

Roxy: makes her own blanket fort suck a dick, Dave!! No boys allowed!! She and Callie built it using a combination of blankets that Rose has knitted for her and generic objects used as building blocks. No Dave, that’s not cheating, maybe if you could make building blocks out of your time powers you wouldn’t feel so inferior to us and our amazing blanket fort which is better than yours. Knows every word to every musical (she had a lot of spare time before the game) and Karkat vaguely idolizes her. Teach me your ways, oh great musical goddess. Watches movies with John and they weave in their own witty commentary, she helps slowly rebuild John’s faith in his shitty, shitty movies.

Callie: has lived underground her entire life and doesn’t know what rain is? Why is water falling from the sky I don’t understand? Also, still getting used to actually being able to see the sky. Finds thunderstorms therapeutic, she likes the constant thrum of the rain, the deep boom of thunder, and the sharp crackle of lightning in the distance. Her favorite place to be is snuggled up in blankets between Roxy, Jane, and Jade, all doing various things but it doesn’t matter because they’re together.

Dirk: will sometimes sit with Jake during his Rain Moods™, other times will watch Hamilton with Dave and they rap along to the entire thing. A lot of the time it will devolve into a rap battle and everyone chooses sides, bets pass along boonbucks like it’s the goddamn horse races up in here. There’s never a real actual set of guidelines that decide who the winner is, the only judge is the Mayor and he is a righteous and fair judge, Dirk and Dave both win equal amounts and no one (mostly) goes deep into debt. Dirk also likes to go running in the rain, he’s never had so much space to just *move* before, and rain was scarce down in post-apocalyptic Texas, so it’s like killing two birds with one stone.

Sollux: The static in the air from lightning messes with his psiionics and it makes for some sicknasty hijinks. Think of a balloon when there’s enough static, every time it thunders Sollux’s hair starts standing on end and if he’s too close to a wall he gets sucked in and stuck. The Great Storm Disaster ensued one day when Sollux decided to rub his feet along the carpet and shock the next person he saw which was, unfortunately, John. It was unfortunate because John, in an attempt to up his pranksters gambit, had a buzzer on his hand. No witness can accurately describe what happened on that horrible, horrible day, only that the blast of cheap buzzing, static electricity, and wackass psiionics threw Sollux and John in opposite directions where they got stuck to the walls and couldn’t move until the storm was over. It also singed John’s eyebrows off. Dave wouldn’t let it go for months.

Cutie Reviews: NMNL Feb 19

“Glam Gift“ is the brand new feature in NMNL, where one subscriber is chosen to win a handful of products. This months includes several cute and sweet items; like the Silk Scarf hair mask, Pino lip cream, and a couple Pokemon items, among others.

Meanwhile, the contest prizes are based on My Melody:

This months booklet also includes a page on Sichenmakeupholic and includes a tutorial for one of the items we got, and a few youtubers who created dreamy Valentines Day looks, and for February’s horoscope everyone was given a fashion item and lucky color. For example, mine (Libra) suggested a cute mini backpack, and my lucky color was hot pink. My friend’s (Gemini) item is a pair of jeans, and her color is navy.

Okay! So let’s get started with the review!

Eyebrow Pencil & Crayon Touch-me Lipgloss

First up we have two makeup items. This eyebrow pencil was available in 2 variations, either the one I got by Etude House, or one by Tony Moly. Besides the label design being different, I’m not sure if there was a difference.

This pencil is double-sided, one with a spoolie for straightening the bangs, while the other is the “pencil“. The color is a natural brown.

I’m not someone who uses eyebrow makeup, at best I’ll just keep them trim and use a spoolie through them. But I tried this out and I actually kind of like it. It easily glides onto the skin and looks pretty natural looking at it. It wasn’t hard to put on, nor did it hurt, and there was no mess or product fall out or anything.

My mom also really likes it because it creates the illusion that she has more of an eyebrow than she does. They have severely thinned out and she’s kind of embarrassed about it, so she likes products like this.

Our next item is this really pretty orange-colored lipgloss. It can be worn on its own or over another product, and it has a very very faint color. It also smells delicious, like tangerine.

The brush feels ultra-soft on the lips, and the product has a good taste (for anyone curious that is). It’s extremely shimmery and makes the lips very soft. I had already been wearing lip balm and I put some of this over it on half of my lips and noticed a huge difference! 10 out of 10, recommend!

Sparkling Eye Gloss

Available in honey gold or ash grey, this product is an eye gloss, or basically a liquid eye shadow by Sweets-Sweets. It comes in a fancy-looking tube and has a softened spongy brush, usable for both eyeliner and eye shadow.

First let me start by saying it is chilly to put on- but it feels kind of nice. It didn’t feel heavy on my lids -which I find to be a problem with some liquid eye shadows- and to my surprise, it actually didn’t look half bad as an eyeliner!

If you’re a new reader of this blog I’ll take a moment to explain that I can’t do eyeliner at all. As such, anything that can help or provide an alternative, I like trying it out. So I was pretty happy by the discovery... up until I gave myself a second wing. But it still didn’t look that bad...

The other thing is, it’s a little messy to clean up. It wasn’t hard to remove, but now the upper-half of my face is super sparky. I love glitter though, so it’s not terrible, and I’m sure with hot water or facial wipes it’d be a lot easier to get off.

Cotton Pads

And now for a super simple, but very necessary item :3 Cotton Pads are useful in application and removal of makeup and skin care products- it’s one of the “essentials“ for those of us who use makeup. At least I always thought so.

What’s fun about these cotton pads is that besides getting so many, they also come in a cute little  carrying pouch for easier transport.

Um... because of how simple these are I’m not planning on reviewing them. There’s nothing really different between cotton pads as far as I ever noticed. I did notice that these are layered though, so I assume that means they will hold more?

Milk Bomb Mask

Our next item is this Milk Bomb Mask, which was available in Strawberry and chocolate. I really wish I got strawberry, but this smells so yummy I don’t even care~

This face product uses milk protein extra and cocoa extract to tidy up rough, dead skin cells and contract skin pores to make it smooth. It also includes a huge list of other ingredients and is to be worn 15-20 minutes for full effect. The mask is also really smooth and didn’t seem papery like other masks.

It smells delicious, I really liked it. It also felt really nice on my face, wasn’t sticky or sloppy or anything. But I noticed that it didn’t want to stay on my face the entire time I used it and I had to keep smoothing it out, and it dried in very quickly. So after a few minutes my face felt no different, but to be fair I’m not really sure if you would feel something different from this effect.

Flower Puff

Our next item is this pretty makeup puff, available in either pink or white. It’s use is for powdered makeup, like blush or certain foundations.

None of which I actually have, other than a really small blusher compact. I think this is really pretty though and honestly I’d rather use it as a cute decoration.

Fascy Moisture Bomb Hand Cream

Our next item is this cute hand cream that promises to moisturize the hands very deeply with ingredients like shea butter, macadamia nut oil, and aloe vera. It’s light weight and soaks into the skin quickly, and is available in 4 different scents: Grapefruit, Strawberry, Violet, and Peach.

I would have been happy with any of those :3 and as you can see, it has color. It’s pretty faint but it’s a really pretty baby pink.

I love how it smells, it’s grapefruit for sure- but it’s a bit different. Like there is a hint of something else in it, but I can’t place my finger on what it is yet. It definitely does what it says it will and makes the skin soft; if only it worked on my dry patches on my face >3< I’ve tried hand creams because of how good they work but they fail to help it... unless I’m not using enough...

Not only is it really nice on the hands, but I noticed the bottle is completely full, in comparison to some creams I’ve got that leave a segment of the tube empty for some reason.

Savon de Chocolate Soap

Our final item will be this delicious looking soap! A moisturizing, creamy soap that uses cocoa butter and charcoal to cleanse the skin. It smells like chocolate (and maybe a tiny bit like honey?).

It’s deliciously scented and very smooth to use. It foams up quickly and is pleasant, I didn’t notice any sort of problems using it, like there wasn’t residue problems.

Content - 5 out of 5. Everything was really nice and I liked the items greatly. I mean I admit cotton pads aren’t that amazing, but they are really practical.

Theme: 5 out of 5. I definitely get a romantic, but cutesy and playful preparing for a date vibe, and there’s items that just give it a Valentines Day feel.

Total Rank: 10 out of 10. Now, I’m not sure this was the perfect box, but I would definitely recommend it. It was lovely and a lot of fun, and I really like and have been using all of the items; minus the flower puff.

1. Lipgloss - I can’t say orange is my favorite color (not that I hate it tho), but I LOVE to look at how pretty and glittery it is~ It smells really good too, and it makes my lips feels nice. 

2. Hand Cream - I’m not a huge fan of the art style, but I like it’s bold colors and fun appeal. I also love the hand cream and the fact it’s colored :D it smells so good~

3. Milk Face Mask - We’ve been over this before, I’m a foodie who loves things that look like food; so I really like the design. The scent was really good too. 

4.Chocolate Soap - the package looks so delicious, and the soap was really nice. I can’t wait to use it during my next bath. 

5. Flower Puff - it’s so pretty, I even like the floral designs on the box it came in. I really want to use it, but I won’t be too upset if I don’t simply because I think it looks cuter as decor.

6. Eyegloss - I like it’s unique square shape :D it’s also a lot prettier than I thought it would be. Initially I didn’t think it’d be something I would use.

7. Cotton Pads - I see myself using them more often than the eyebrow pencil, and they come in a draw-string bag, which is pretty unusual. I’ve never seen that before.

8. Eyebrow pencil - I really like to use it, but it doesn’t have any cuteness factor.
