Jesus don't want me for a sunbeam, sunbeams are never made like me.

"When I told him it was my friend Eugene Kelly who wrote the song, Liam's eyes welled up. He went up to Eugene - who hadn't a clue about the conversation we had just had - and shook his hand, before rushing out of the room overcome with emotion."

This image is basically everything I like. I tried to compile all the favorite bands and styles. Of course, a lot was left out. for example, my favorite films and several bands that certainly deserved space on the poster. bands like C.W.Stoneking (my favorite musician), Joe Meek, The Residents, Psychic TV and the Cleaners From Venus (Martin Newell), Tom Waits... of films, I could have written Valerie and her week of wonders. Muholland Drive. Paris, Texas. American Graffiti or Moonrise Kingdom. Anyway, even though a lot of things were left out, a lot of my aesthetic is still here. Consider this image, kind of my version of that Meet The artist challenge. - I personally love Sarah Records, Goosebumps, the 60s, 70s and 80s (I literaly live in the past, baby. All my clothes, music and everything comes directly from the past!) outsider music, Twin Peaks and many others. Anyway, it took some work for me to put together this image, but I hope someone in this wild wild world gives some value to it. Ha ha.

I learned about Suckle (Glasgow, Scotland) from an email sent by Monorail Music. Suckle is the vehicle for the work of Frances McKee - formerly of The Vaselines. Stephen Pastel (co-owner of Monorail Music) was there at the beginning of The Vaselines, and mentions how some critics of the band harped on their "non-technical" skills. Well, that may be true, but there's nothing amateurish about Suckle "Against Nurture".
It's beautiful, lush and melodic. It really recalls Look Blue Go Purple, The Velvet Underground, and Syd Barrett. It was produced by Paul Savage of The Delgados and was originally released on Chemikal Underground (the label started by The Delgados).
While this isn't available physically on Bandcamp, it is on Discogs. Also, Monorail is offering signed copies of the original release.

Deja-entendu
Just back from Tybee Island
Again drama
Again, the weather and scheduling got out of hand
Had another gay charged water sequence
Lots of parallels with the first time I was in Tybee shooting
I came back with more food than I left with
Sofia and I having garbage eggs while waiting for the next set up
covered in gnat bites, I look like I have varicela
having a really hard time not scratching
Michael came down to Savannah
it was weird and stressful as usual
and at some points nice
I enjoyed the pool at the hotel
couldn't make it to the dinner reservation to shoot something that we ended having to re-shoot
Missed the celebration dinner because Michael decided to wait for me to go back to Atlanta (which was nice, but ended up not being it)
I may have not enjoyed it though, I would have probably been upset about my food options
