When I see content/ships I dislike

On twitter: why would twitter show this to me. I muted this in every possible way why AM I SEEING THIS *remains pissed for the next five hours*

On tumblr: damn that’s a ship? Crazy /pos

(To be clear I believe in the freedom to ship and create content any way one likes but I also believe in the freedom to dislike any content as long as it is kept within themselves and is not harming anyone. I’d never hurt someone for doing something they enjoy)

I've noticed it a lot more in fanfic as well. People seem to have realised, likely from having used it in online convo, that you get a different pace when you ignore the standard rules of punctuation in writing. You've got an action scene? Or a bit of horror? Character having a panic or being rhetorical? Cutting out a chunk of punctuation can speed everything up, or make it more chaotic, or show it as being all internal. Granted, there are some authors who just don't know or don't use punctuation, but I think there are plenty who know and are playing with the standard rules and it definitely coincides with the rise of online conversation...

The tumblr finches may be escaping to the mainland...

when did tumblr collectively decide not to use punctuation like when did this happen why is this a thing
