This was birthed from reading this article: jezebel.com/inside-the-rainbow…
My heroes are dead, my enemies are in power...
Villaincore is an aesthetic which encompasses being yourself and doing everything in your power to get what you want, by any means necessary. This, for example, might be becoming rich or famous, or getting revenge on someone who's wronged you. Villaincore is sometimes embraced by people who were wrongfully (in their opinion) seen as the "bad guy", and are now reclaiming that. Villaincore is sometimes associated to trauma, as victims can use the idea of becoming someone so powerful they would be feared (and often getting revenge) through their bad experiences as a coping mechanism.

One of my favorite episodes of NCIS is coming on Berlin. My top 10 are
1. Season 7, Episode 13 Jet Lag (how you can see the sparks between Tony and Ziva)
2. Season 3, Episode 8 Under Covers (where Tiva was officially born)
3.(tie) Season 10, Episode 21 Berlin (the dance between Tony and Ziva)
Season 7, Episode 1 Truth of Consequences (Tony rescuing Ziva and telling her He couldn't live without her)
5. Season 7, Episode 2 Reunion (for the simple fact that Tim delivers the stupid but absolutely funny line 'I'm going to get a Nutter Butter)
6. Season 4, Episode 9 Twisted Sister (for the simple fact when Sarah met Tony and Ziva she was able to clock them as Tommy and Lisa instantly)
7. Season 6, Episode 2 Agent Afloat (as Ziva catches Tony with the pictures he took of her in Los Angeles when they had accompanied Jenny there, showing his feelings for her were more than friendship)
8. Season 8, Episode 23 Swan Song (for the simple fact with the way Tony is so gentle and sweet to Ziva comforting her after Franks' murder)
9. Season 10, Episode 12 Shiva (how Tony not only takes care of Ziva after Eli's murder but how he brings Schmiel to help too)
10. Season 6 Episode 9 Dagger (how Ziva protects Tony and how they work together to save Amanda. It's just so sweet.)

The hella amusing/entertaining thing about cosplay is going to a con and running into diff people cosplaying same chara!
We've personally encountered 4 other Mabels throughout the weekend, and they all had different interpretations ~★
First was this lovely person with the rainbow pastels mask! Only the best colors frm our best girl
Tumblr media
Then we spotted this cute Mabel (truth be told, saw Cipher sneakers from across the Hall and raced over). Gold star purse? Of course she'd have one ☆彡 Yes, she made bebi-Cipher plush for her Dipper to carry (googly eye! YEAH!!)
Tumblr media
then completely forgot how to photos because bad health debuff too much running around ... but there was a wonderful Mabel (also with Dipper) who had a floor length skirt? and cute face paint! Heck yeah girl, get them colors on your face (until can safely bedazzle .... one makes do)
Tumblr media
on Sunday there was a Mabel whos legs were covered with colorful band-aids, a la Lisa Frank style, freakin luved her
and of course, there is this nerd
My variant is ...well.... not-quite closet, but sorta also... Don't own solid-colored skirts; with shorts suddenly my legs felt a mile long, so combined with the ✧ Very Sparkly ✧ tights! This is a high school musical Mabel, a'ight?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
shout-out to the chill Grunkle Stan & Wendy we stumbled upon literally 5 min in
Tumblr media
Waddles did wander away, but this lost lil black pig fit right in....
Tumblr media
It was also really funny, how with all this many Pines.... I was still somehow the oldest tallest twin
Tumblr media Tumblr media
dishonorable mention - Bill Cipher holding out such a tempting hand (no seriously, you were great)

The small city of Greenville, Alabama, was waking up to another mundane day, but not you. Not today. Today was different. The peaceful façade of your life as a fresh college graduate working in a tiny flower shop was just that – a façade. Behind it lurked a storm, one that had been brewing ever since your mother’s death.
Greenville was a quaint place, where everyone knew everyone else, and secrets were hard to keep. But you had a secret, a dark one. Your mother’s tragic end had shattered your world, and the man responsible, your stepfather, continued his life unscathed. He was a police officer, respected by many, but you knew the truth. He was a monster, and you’re going to stop him.
---
The flower shop was your sanctuary. “Petals and Posies” was a small but charming establishment, filled with the fragrance of fresh blooms. You lost yourself in the simple tasks of arranging flowers and tending to customers. The shop's front area displayed packets of flower seeds, inviting customers to start their own gardens. Along the side walls, ready-made bouquets sat in neat rows, a burst of colors and fragrances that never failed to lift your spirits. Customers could choose to customize their bouquets with the help of one of the two employees, either you or your colleague, Lisa.
Lisa was a warm and friendly presence in the shop, always ready with a smile and a kind word. You appreciated her company, though you often found solace in the quiet moments when the shop was empty, and you could immerse yourself in your work. Next to the employee desk stood a stand with various bouquet wraps, allowing customers to add a personal touch to their floral arrangements. The shop was small, but it had a steady stream of clients, enough to keep it alive and provide you with a modest living.
Your apartment was just a few blocks away, a small but cozy place that you had made your own. It was a simple one-bedroom unit, but you had decorated it with care. The walls were adorned with framed prints of your favorite paintings, and the shelves were filled with books that offered an escape from reality. Your bedroom window overlooked a small park, and you often found yourself gazing out at the trees swaying gently in the breeze, finding a momentary sense of peace.
---
Weekends were spent visiting your mother, a routine you cherished. She lived with Frank in a modest home on the outskirts of Greenville. It was a place filled with memories, both good and bad. Your mother, Anna, had always been your rock, your confidant. She was a kind and cheerful woman, always seeing the good in people. You admired her strength and the joy she brought into your life. During your college years, she met Frank, a man who seemed to offer her the love and companionship she deserved. They married while you were away at school, and for a while, it seemed she had found happiness.
Your mother’s house was warm and welcoming, a stark contrast to the man who lived there with her. The living room was filled with family photos, mementos of happier times. The kitchen was Anna’s domain, where she spent hours cooking and baking, her laughter filling the air. You loved these visits, the chance to reconnect with your mother and escape the loneliness of your apartment.
But the happiness was short-lived. It was during one of these visits that you first noticed the bruises. They were faint, barely visible, but they were there. As you helped your mother prepare dinner, you noticed the slight wince as she lifted a pot, the dark shadows on her wrists that she tried to hide with long sleeves.
---
“Mom, what happened to your arm?” you asked, trying to keep your voice casual, though your heart was pounding.
Anna glanced down at the bruise and quickly pulled her sleeve down. “Oh, it’s nothing, dear. I just bumped into the doorframe,” she said with a forced smile.
Before you could press further, Frank walked into the kitchen, his presence immediately changing the atmosphere. He was a tall, imposing man with a perpetual scowl etched on his face. The air seemed to thicken with tension whenever he was around.
“Everything okay in here?” he asked, his voice gruff.
You forced a smile. “Yes, just helping Mom with dinner.”
Frank grunted and walked to the fridge, grabbing a beer before heading back to the living room. You watched him go, a knot forming in your stomach. There was something off about him, something that made your skin crawl.
You decided not to push your mother further that evening, but the image of those bruises stayed with you. Over the next few weeks, you visited more often, trying to spend as much time with her as possible. You suggested outings, hoping to get her away from Frank’s oppressive presence. Sometimes she agreed, and for a few hours, you saw glimpses of the cheerful woman you knew. But other times, she declined, her eyes filled with a sadness she couldn’t hide.
---
It wasn’t long before things took a turn for the worse. Your mother stopped answering your calls. When you did manage to see her, she looked more tired and emaciated each time. The once vibrant woman was now a hollow shell, her spirit crushed under the weight of Frank’s abuse. She had stopped eating, her clothes hanging loosely on her frail frame. Her eyes, once full of life, were now dull and lifeless.
You tried to talk to her, to get her to open up about what was happening, but she remained silent. The fear in her eyes spoke volumes, though, and you knew she was hiding something terrible. Frank’s behavior grew more erratic, his temper flaring at the slightest provocation. You witnessed him yelling at your mother, his face twisted in anger, while she stood there, her head bowed, taking the verbal abuse without a word.
One day, you arrived at her house to find it eerily quiet. Your heart raced as you searched room after room, finally finding her in the bedroom. She was lying on the bed, her face pale and lifeless. An empty bottle of pills lay on the nightstand, and a crumpled note was clutched in her hand.
With trembling hands, you unfolded the note. It was brief but devastating: “I can’t take it anymore. He’s taken everything from me. Forgive me.”
---
Your world shattered in an instant. The grief was overwhelming, but what fueled your rage was Frank’s reaction. He showed no remorse, quickly moving on as if your mother’s life had meant nothing. The day of her funeral, you saw him laughing with another woman, and something inside you snapped. The seed of revenge was planted, and it grew with each passing day.
---
The day of the funeral was overcast, fitting the somber mood. The cemetery was filled with friends and family, all gathered to pay their respects to your mother. You stood by the grave, numb with grief, as the preacher said the final words. You barely heard them, lost in your own thoughts.
You recalled the earlier years with your mother, the warmth and laughter that once filled your home. She had been your everything, the one person who understood you completely. As you stood there, the memories of her gentle touch and kind words played in your mind, a stark contrast to the cold reality of her absence.
As the service concluded, you watched the mourners drift away, leaving you alone by the freshly turned earth. Your mother’s coffin was lowered into the ground, and you felt a part of yourself go with her. The weight of your grief pressed down on you, but so did something else – a cold, calculated resolve.
You watched as Frank, dressed in his police uniform, walked towards his car. His face was a mask of indifference, as if the death of his wife meant nothing to him. A woman was waiting for him, someone you didn’t recognize. She smiled as he approached, and your stomach turned.
Frank got into the car and leaned over to kiss her. The sight was like a punch to the gut. The betrayal, the callousness, it was all too much. You clenched your fists, your nails digging into your palms as you fought to keep your composure. But inside, something snapped.
It was then that you knew, with absolute certainty, that you were going to get rid of him. He didn’t deserve to walk away unscathed. He had to pay for what he had done to your mother. And you were going to make sure of it.
As you turned away from the cemetery, a new resolve filled you. This was just the beginning. The storm was coming, and you were ready to unleash it.

Don't grieve in front of me, Dean. It makes me uncomfortable, part II...or prequel?
How'd I get here again?
Oh, yeah. I got here, because I got excited about the cars. I remembered Dean driving a brownish tan/brown car in THE SCENE from Slash Fiction? Pinto, I wondered. FORD?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Alas. It's a Pontiac Acadian. I was so hopeful. It's a VERY similar style though. But it definitely calls to mind the car when Cas n' Dean presided over Mary's loss of John in 4x03. It looks like the car on the beach in 13x01, when Dean is grieving Cas. And this...is 7x06, when Dean is ALSO grieving Cas.
It's also VERY interesting how the break light's out on the driver's side. That's because Dean is out of commission. In SPN, often the headlights or the break lights show which brother is "down for the count." At the end of season 1, ep 1, it's Sam who's down-and-out, because he lost Jess.
Here, it's Dean. He "appears" on, but the break light shows us the truth.
We cut from the "out break light" to...THE winged Pony, hanged. The pony is the light. It's yellow. It's the sunshine. Because the light is out.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's winged. It's in the rearview. it's noosed around the neck, like how Cas said that freewill is something you hang yourself with. He cuts it off and throw it into the backseat, desperate to forget. Cause it's Caaa---
Anyway. You could argue Dean is lamenting the life he'd left behind, but the Lisa-Ben dynamic was Dean's Ford Truck phase, and this winged thing is-- it's just-- it's just 100% pointing to Cas. If you don't think so, the next bit is damning.
Sam turns on the radio to make Dean feel better. A sad song comes on, and Dean drops the act for a MILLISECOND. And Sam? He says SORRY.
Then, he gets uncomfortable.
It's the earlier match to the peanut-butter-and-jelly-strong-choice scene from season 13x06 (widow era).
Sam is afraid of this kind of grief. (And for good reason. Thanks, John!)
"What would you say if I called on you now..." is the first line. Come when you call, etc etc etc. And Dean looks just about ready to burst into tears. No, watch the scene. He looks devastated when he hears it and realizes what it is, like a little intake of breath.
Dean grieves Cas...with music.
Tumblr media
Ah, the familiar pattern. Dean is struggling to be allowed to grieve in this season. Everyone's terrified of his grief, even Bobby, who demands he "not be a person" and "keep doing the job" in a desperate plea to keep Dean from "dying before he does." Bobby doesn't know what to say or how to grieve, so he tries to keep Dean alive the only way he can think of, with utilitarian pragmatism.
But Dean needs to feel his emotions. Even though the scene above is played for laughs, it's really about Dean's emotions leaking out despite his attempts to hide it.
Tumblr media
Ahem. Not writing Dean-Cas till "later seasons," my ass. Dean wore his heart on his sleeve whenever he was "allowed" to. My gosh!
///
EXT. ROAD – NIGHT A small, old hatchback is driving down the road. INT. HATCHBACK – NIGHT A yellow My Little Pony is dangling from the rear-vision mirror. DEAN squeezes it and it squeaks. He takes out a knife, cuts it down and tosses it into the back seat. It squeaks again as it lands.
SAM: You okay? DEAN: You know, it's bad enough that they're ganking people, wearing our mugs, but now this? Have us driving around in this... this caboodle while Baby's on lockdown. SAM: It's temporary, Dean. DEAN: Nobody puts Baby in a corner. SAM: Y-you know that's a line from -- DEAN: Swayze movie. Swayze always gets a pass! SAM: Right. Uh, well, you want some tunes or something? Here. SAM turns on the car radio. MUSIC: Air Supply’s “All Out Of Love” ♪ And what would you say if I called on you now and said that I can't hold on ♪ SAM looks at DEAN. SAM: Sorry, man, I-I... DEAN: Just leave it. Probably gonna be the only thing on. ♪ There's no easy way, it gets harder each day ♪ Please love me or I'll be gone ♪ I'll be gone ♪ SAM looks at the map FRANK gave him and DEAN starts to lip-sync along to the music. ♪ I'm all out of love ♪ I'm so lost without you ♪ SAM looks over at DEAN. ♪ I know you were right ♪ believing for so long ♪ I'm all out of love ♪ DEAN notices that SAM is watching him and stops singing. ♪ What am I without you? ♪ DEAN looks away out the driver’s side window. ♪ I can't be too late to say that I was so wrong ♪ Oh ♪ DEAN starts to lip-sync again. ♪ What are... ♪ SAM looks at him and he stops again. ♪...you thinking of? ♪ DEAN moves his head in time with the music. ♪ What are you -- ♪ SAM: Here. SAM switches off the radio and they sit in silence. SAM studies the map. Jericho is circled.
youtube
///
Someday I'll do a thing about all the car-hopping they have to do until, you know, Dean is "Dean" again.
Dean, going through the motions, "acting like one of the dead ones." And...the Impala makes a return once Dean accepts that Cas can't help, and then Cas says he's gonna go with to try and mitigate the wreckage he left.
Cas agreed to try and "fix" things, just as Dean accepted their brokenness. (No ones cares if you're broken so long as you try.)
And the we see Baby again for the first time. Hmmmm.

This design is so good!!! Would love to know more about Mabel’s interactions with Bill!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Footnotes: "wtf is that purple thing Bill's wearing?" The first thing he could find. "Mabel has an earring?" Yeah that's how I've decided to show she's 13. Also her braces are a slightly different color because I got to choose new rubber bands colors whenever I went to the orthodontist. "What's the joke with Xanthe?" It's an Ancient Greek name that means golden/yellow. "Is this why Bill's fake name around outsiders is 'Goldie'?" Yes. It's short for Goldilocks.)
They get along like a house on fire. They get along so well it makes everyone else kind of nervous. They get along so well the others suspect Bill's faking it to manipulate Mabel.
In truth, they actually do get along like that. If the inside of Stan's mind looks like a black-and-white Escher painting and the inside of Ford's mind looks like a somber Kubrick movie and the inside of Dipper's mind looks a lot like reality, then the inside of Mabel's mind looks like a collaboration between Hieronymus Bosch and Lisa Frank—and wouldn't you know, the inside of Bill's looks a lot alike. Neon DayGlo chaotic colorful anarchy.
They're similar enough that if everyone in the shack takes a random guess at what it is Bill wants, Mabel's guess is usually closest to the mark—and because of that, he gravitates more toward her, which gives her more practice making sense of him, which quickly turns her into the household Bill expert.
Add to that, when Bill's not being creepy, Mabel's the most willing to help him with not-bad not-evil things. And as the local arts & crafts specialist she's the most qualified to help with his acute self-image issues. It sounds fun!!!
Bill won't talk about (or acknowledge) his feelings unless he's hit an explosive boil-over point; but inwardly, privately, he's raw and lonely and desperately grateful for someone who's on the same wavelength as him and who's willing, in a tiny way, to help fix his body.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He's also too alien to recognize (or care) that Mabel's efforts are straight up ridiculous.
For all their unexpected and frightening similarities, the main difference between Bill and Mabel is that Mabel's idea of a good time ends when real harm to other people begins—but that only applies when she notices the harm. Bill only half comprehends that she has limits at all, and when he does understand, he assumes her limits are like his: they're driven by fear of external consequences rather than an internal moral compass.
He thinks with enough time he could free her from those fears. She doesn't mind recklessly shooting a fireworks rocket if she doesn't notice the broken bones and bloody noses it leaves behind; so the next step is to teach her to notice them without fearing she'll get in trouble for it; and from there he'll teach her to enjoy the bones snapping as much as she enjoys the rocket exploding, just like he does. She's got a whole world of bright, colorful, sparkly mayhem to enjoy once she stops worrying about the consequences!
But until he can teach her to appreciate a cherry bomb, he can deign to appreciate a glitter bomb. They're both overstimulatory assaults on the senses, and that's great.
Mabel, meanwhile, is convinced she's well on the way to reforming Bill into a Fun Big Sister/Brother.
(Starting from this post, I'm gonna put all my human Bill AU posts under the tag #bill goldilocks cipher. Easy to remember—but you can bet nobody else is using that tag.)

METALOCALYPSE HEADCANNONS
(Part 1/??)
Buckle in yall this will be a long ass post
TOKI WARTOOTH
Earlyklok! Toki
-the most sincerely homophobic in the beginning. You don't just get raised the way he's been and not have some WILD ass beliefs about the world, he eventually unlearns it but being surrounded by dude bros who constantly call things gay as an insult and his tendency to take things litterally DONT help. And it's not like active hate or anything it's just getting raised that gay people are sinners and are gonna burn in hell is definitely a topic you gotta make an effort to unlearn.
-seeing two girls kissing on the streets of florida for the first time??? SHOCKED, litterally did a full head swivel to check if anyone else had seen it and imploded when no one seemed to be as surprised at he was
-Doesnt really even understand why the rest of the band likes casual sex so much, it feels good but at first he thought it was strange there were all of these girl fawning over a him, a technical stranger, and he just goes along with it.
- got his ears pierced about 4 months into earlyklok sitting on the ledge of their shared apartments crusty bathtub
they were all packed into the tiny bathroom, talking over eachother, the room thick with weed smoke, skwisgaar perched over him in the bathtub holding his head straight
pickles did it with a safety pin and an icecube, joint hanging off his lips as he squinted in concentration
Toki didn't flinch, didn't even stop talking to Nathan about the newest Cannibal corpse album that Nathan wanted to buy a cd of
He liked the feeling of skwisgaars hands engulfing his face, it was a touch that wasn't cruel. Plus knowing that the best guitarist he's ever heard in his whole life hands were soft was a fact that he's gonna ingrain into his head.
Murderface and Nathan actually looked mildly concerned at tokis complete lack of reaction
- the kid will offhandedly say really cryptic shit, through broken English and weird reactions to what they think is normal stuff. the band gets the gist that they'd have to be a hell of a lot drunker to handle his truth (toki: oh don't worry I'm used to the dark! :), everyone else:👀)
-got a lip piercing but didn't take care of it properly, so of course it got infected and had to be taken out
-this is when he starts age regressing but doesn't realize he's doing it,
-he'd watch a kids cartoon in complete silence until the season ends and it's the only way to keep him completely still and quiet
-is attracted to bright and colorful things even if it gets him made fun off by the guys, secretly LOVES Lisa frank art
Regular adult toki
-AUTISM AUTISM AUTISM
HATES tables that aren't clean, when it's noticeably sticky or there's crumbs that stick to his arms when he leans on the table
-same with the feeling of spilt beer, has gotten used to it over the years but the feeling of dried sticky beer still has his skin crawling
-has drunken bong water as a dare (all of them have as some point but still)
-has also smoked weed through his nose (again on a dare)!
-if you look really close into his eyes, his eyes go so light blue it looks pale yellow
-very very kind and pretty eyes, the downwards slope of them make him look sad with a neutral face
-LONG AND THICK EYELASHES
-works out mostly regularly to keep his shape, he gets too energetic for the others to handle so it's a good way to blow off some steam
-Likes the idea of wearing feminine stuff, skirts seem sooooo comfortable but doesn't wear them cause yknow the teasing would be absolutely relentless
-medium thickness chewed on lips, does it mindlessly
-knows hes capable of incredible violence, the band is also very aware and whenever he gets legitimately pissed off during a argument (like a genuine, seriously bad argument) they'll usually just back off and wait to bring it up later when toki doesn't look like he's three seconds away from curbstomping them
-FAT crush on Nathan but for some reason gets really shy around it??
-Nathan will compliment him and toki will deadass write with a fluffy pink huge glittery pink pen in an equally pink journal kicking his legs and giggling
*Nathan told me when I got that chord I kept fucking up correct that he could *see me improving* EEEEE he's soooo big He could throw me Like a football
-fond of murderface, knows people deal with their own shit in diffrent ways so he doesn't take his insults to heart (usually)
-relationship with skiwsgaar is. Weird.
I'll probably get into it on another post but it's SO complicated like. Were both emotionally constipated around eachother, our relationship used to be so kind and gentle skiwsgaar was tokis mentor and wanted to see him grow but has such anxeity around toki surpassing him he purposely beats him down; and toki doesn't have the work ethic or drive to truly get to thay level and it impedes the progress of the band. But engages with this weird rivalry thats also a form of love and respect like. Your the only one I could ever be worried about being better than me and I've watched you grow so much and I don't know how to express that properly YADDA YADDA YADDA
-loves pickles very much, he was the most welcoming in the beginning and always made a space for him at the table, later on a shoulder to cry on.

The Outlast College AU: the cast
Eddie Gluskin:
Eddie Gluskin (also known as "Ed" or "the groom" in a mocking way) is a failed pre-med student who switched over to fashion design and merchandising and is known for his "retro" style of dress along with his misogynistic behavior. He is a social outcast due to how he acts so despite his good looks and "charming" personality, he seldom ever gets dates or even respect from his other peers (functionally making him an incel). He is "friends" with Frank (although this is mostly just because Frank also happens to live with him) and that is really about it. And despite his bizarre standards for women and beliefs surrounding sexuality: he is dating Val who is the polar opposite of all of what he holds dear.
Frank Manera:
Frank Manera is Eddie's weed-smoking, whisky-drinking, grunge music-loving culinary school dropout roommate. Unlike Eddie, he is a social outcast by choice and actively chooses not to socially engage with other people or things. Frank is probably the most easy-going person you might meet partly due to the fact he is high all the time but also due to his "I really do not give a shit" attitude he has about practically everything. If it is not about his pickup truck, guns, food, weed, or the bands he likes he could care less. Frank is also occasionally seen at Crust-punk bars and other hole-in-the-wall places around MMU despite not being a student.
Val:
Val is a former member of the hyper-religious cult Temple Gate who once held the role of being the "mother" of all of the bastard children of its leader, Knoth, along with the orphans. She was unable to biologically produce children (functionally be a broodmare) so she took on the role of raising them instead. Val escaped the cult when she was 17 and attempted to bring others with her but was unable to. After her escape, she began to hyper-indulge in sex, drugs, body mods, and all of the other things she was never allowed to even talk about while living on the commune. She never got an education and instead opted to continue partying while also taking a job at a Spencers near MMU. She is dating Eddie Gluskin for reasons not fully understood. And despite her new life of freedom and indulgence, she is still on the run from the cult who does periodically attempt to drag her back. She still misses some members of the cult, specifically the children she cared for and wanted to take with her, but also deeply fears being dragged back too much to do anything.
Miles Upshur:
Miles is a journalism student at MMU who also works at the Spencers with Val. He is yet another stoner similar to the likes of Frank only with a significantly more conspiratorial slant. He is best friends with Waylon Park and frequently pulls him into his strange schemes and ventures (like when he goes ghost hunting in abandoned asylums or attempts to prove aliens exist). And much to his friend's horror: he overall lacks a sense of self-preservation and self-control which frequently results in him getting into a lot of dangerous situations.
Waylon Park:
Waylon Park is a computer science major at MMU and the unwitting best friend/accomplice of Miles. He is a lot more timid than his best friend and spends most of his time locked in his apartment streaming video games or working on various coding projects and actively avoids danger/confrontation. He is dating Lisa, a literature major, and is in a pretty steady relationship with her. Due to his more ambiguous appearance, he was mistaken for a woman and thus pursued by Eddie but that was quickly shut down when the truth was revealed and a restraining order was filed.
Rick Trager:
Rick Trager is an extremely shifty business professor teaching at MMU who may or may not be addicted to cocaine. The only reason he has not been fired is due to his tenure at the university.
Jermey Blaire:
Trager's equally as shifty/douchy TA who practically models himself after Patrick bateman.
Chris Walker:
Chris Walker is a former combat veteran going back to school after his time in the service. His exact major is unclear as it has changed several times. But due to his emence size and overall strength he is also a coveted member of the MMU football team. Chris does not have a particularly close relationship with anybody and only happens to know Miles because he had a class with him once (and in turn grew to dislike him as he came off extremely annoying).
Blake Langermann:
Blake is a fellow jornalisim major along with Miles and is a catholic school survivee. Blake is only mildly acquainted with the likes of Miles and Waylon and instead focuses a majority of his time on working on projects with his girlfriend Lynn who is also a journalism major. These projects are usually Exposes regarding local controversies or drama going on (along with the periodic serious human rights/civil rights violation). However, he will join Waylon and Miles on their bullshit adventures from time to time.
Father Martin:
He is the weird guy standing outside of MMU with a large sign only instead of telling people they are going to hell, he warns of the end times and weird ghost demons coming but it is unclear if he is for or against them.
Sullivan Knoth:
Is the leader of the Cult Val escaped from and one of the main antagonists in Val's life. He is functionally the same compared to how he is in the game minus the radio tower frequencies: he is just crazy naturally.
Marta:
Is funtionally the "Sister Cindy" of MMU. She, unlike Father Martin, does accuse all of the students of being whores and tells them they will burn in hell if they don't repent (and do so to Knoth's teachings). She is also the closest immediate threat to Val's freedom and safety outside of the cult given she is still actively looking for her (dubbing her "the Heretic").
Ethan:
The only person from the cult Val is still somewhat in contact with. He is too attempting to escape given his fading faith had the fact Knoth sexually assaulted his daughter and is denying his wife the ability to get cancer treatments as "only god can decide if she lives". He tried to leave with Val initially but had to stay behind in order to at least allow Val to escape and to protect his family.
Billy Hope:
Billy is a highschooler who has functionally adopted by the MMU football team and is "enrolled" at the school a year early so he can play football. His mother, Tiffany, more or less signed off on it due to the hefty sum of money she was offered to allow her son to play.
"The Twins":
Really creepy townies everybody avoids and can usually be spotted with Martin
Pauline Glick:
The asshole president of MMU who may or may not be taking bribes and doing a bunch of illegal shit along with Blaire and Trager
"Mother Gooseberry (Phyllis Futterman)":
Is a washed-up former children's TV host who later became an art teacher at MMU. She teaches several of the more "technical" arts classes such as sewing and technical drawing. However, she also teaches dental classes at MMU although not that many. It is unclear when or if she even got a degree in dental medicine. But given she is only teaching more "anatomy" based lessons and is not actually practicing medicine: it is looked over by MMU administration.
Leland Coyle:
The campus cop who is activly on a power trip, all of the time.
"The Pusher":
The guy who sells literally everybody drugs. Weed, coke, you name it, he has it.

For only the second time that I can recall in the game, we now get a cutscene entirely without Hector's presence or input - this time of Gale's conversation with Mystra. We have no control over this; presumably we would if we were playing as Origin Gale, but otherwise we just get to watch.
And here she is, in the godly flesh:
Tumblr media
"Gale of Waterdeep. You look well."
Tumblr media
"As do you. But I assume we're not here solely to exchange compliments. So why *am* I here?"
Tumblr media
"You discovered what lies at the Heart of the Absolute - the Crown of Karsus - and you disobeyed my instruction. Why?"
Tumblr media
"Because you had no right to ask that of me. You cast me out, remember?"
Atta boy, Gale.
Tumblr media
"You were my lover, my Chosen. Yet still you know so little of me. The past cannot be undone with self-pity, nor can a future be forged. Only with the truth will you see the way ahead. The fragment of magic you tried to return to me was not of my creation. It was the Karsite Weave. It is a corrupted, half-born magic wrought in the brief moment Karsus ascended to godhood. It hungers for power just as he did, and it can *never* be sated. You unleashed something that would consume all magic in existence, and yet you thought only of preserving yourself."
Aha. Interesting. So Gale's mistake went beyond simple hubris of trying to reach Mystra's level; the orb straight up wasn't what he thought it was at all, and it's massively dangerous. Not really surprising, I guess.
(On a more prosaic note, I am not really a fan of Mystra's design here at all. The goddess of all magic feels like she should be something far more elaborate, but she just kind of looks like a barbie doll in a Lisa Frank light show. I think they could have done something more interesting with this. Honestly would have rather just had her be a voice thundering from nowhere.)
Tumblr media
"So that's what you're scared of. With the Crown of Karsus reforged, I could take control of the Karsite Weave."
Tumblr media
"You can no more control the Karsite Weave than a weather vane could control a storm. That it entered your body and consumed no more than your powers was a miracle. But we will not be granted another. The only reason the 'orb' sleeps is because I have allowed it to feed on the true Weave - a temporary measure, but one that will not be enough to save us. With each day that passes, the elder brain threatens to become a new kind of god, its worshippers a scourge of soulless illithids. If you will not use the orb to end this abomination, then you must find a way to separate Crown and host. When you've done this, you must surrender the Crown of Karsus to me."
Tumblr media
"A great ask indeed. You've given me much to think on - as you always did."
(I suspect this line would probably be different if Hector hadn't advised him to keep his cards close to the chest.)
Tumblr media
"So be it. Follow the needle of your own wisdom. We shall see how truly it leads you."
------
Gale flashes back into being in the middle of the Tabernacle next to Hector after what seems only a few seconds of absence. But it's obvious that something has happened, as Hector can tell from the way his eyes are wide, from the rapidity of his breathing.
Tumblr media
"Back on mortal soil once more," he gasps out. A strained smile is pulling at his lips. "I can't believe I saw her, after all this time..."
Tumblr media
Hector reaches out a hand to his friend's shoulder, steadying him. "How do you feel now you've done it?" he asks gently.
Tumblr media
"Relieved. Drained. Proud of myself, for summoning the courage to go to her in the first place. And, if I'm being totally honest - a bit lightheaded." His smile fades. "As if it wasn't enough to have seen her again, she didn't exactly summon me there for small talk. The Karsite Weave, within me this whole time... I knew the orb was no ordinary ball of magic, but for it to be Karsus's malignant creation-- gods!" He slams his fist into his opposite palm in irritation. "How did I not see that?"
"It's all too easy to miss things when we're blinded by desire," Hector says, as delicately as possible.
"True enough. There's a reason such unwitting heroes have been the backbone of lyric and legend for as long as both have existed," Gale says ruefully. "Even so - I was hardly some naive apprentice at the time. I considered myself an archmage, and yet was fool enough to b mistaken for a common conjurer."
He lets out a heavy, bitter sigh, then straightens with an air of new determination. "At least now I'm armed with the truth, and Mystra's expectations. It sounds like the door to redemption is open at last. All I have to do is walk through it, carrying the Crown of Karsus."
Tumblr media
Hector shifts uneasily. Are those the only two options, then? For Gale to take the Crown's power for himself or run back to chasing after Mystra's good opinion? Surely there is some middle ground... "Is that what you want?" he asks slowly.
"Perhaps," Gale says, not quite meeting his eyes. "I see few other options open to me, if I ever want to reclaim those parts of myself the orb snatched away. If I ever want to be *me* again..."
A sudden wave of compassion for him goes through Hector. Poor blighter, he thinks sadly. The actions of Gale's younger self were foolish, to be sure, and they have caused great potential harm. But Gale has lived with that knowledge for years now; he's been punished greatly for it. And going back to Mystra, however unhealthy that relationship was, means that at least he would be free of that punishment again.
"You're a great man, Gale," he says quietly - and he means it. "With or without the orb."
Tumblr media
"I'll have to disagree with you there," Gale says, shaking his head. "Having not one but two parasitic entities within your body does very little for one's faith in one's personality." A pause. Then his expression softens and he smiles a little. "Still. I should take the compliment with the same generosity it was given. So - thank you."
He turns to face Hector squarely, with the air of a man taking a sacred oath. "If i can promise you one thing in return for your faith in me, it's this - I will use everything in my power to ensure we defeat this evil. I will not let you down."

Billy Russo x Female Reader (60 part story)
This follows pre- the punisher into the storyline of daredevil, punisher season 1 and beyond
This is NOT Canon Billy. This is decent human being Billy left with bad options over worse decisions
This was also posted to A03 under: WaywardGaPeach. That account and this one is the only place you'll see me post this. If you see it on any other platform/account know it's not me.
Chapter Summary/Warnings: Billy and Frank are finally home [mention of sexual tension?]
"Aunt Y/N are you ok?" You smiled down at Lisa "Yeah sweetie. Why did you ask me that?"  She pointed to your foot "You haven't stopped tapping your foot since we got here" you felt a blush warm your face at your niece of all people calling you out. Maria turned around and grinned at you before saying "Aunt Y/N is fine baby"
Frank Jr grabbed your free hand and squeezed it "Is it all the people? It always makes me nervous too" you smiled at him trying to soothe you "Yeah buddy. It's just a really big crowd here today"
The truth was the crowd, the noise. All of it was the furthest thing from your mind. It may have well only been you, Maria and the kids standing in the airport for all you cared. In the next few moments Frank and Billy would be stepping off that plane. You'd welcomed them both home so many times but this was different. You didn't know what to expect. A part of you wanted to run to him the moment he came into sight but a part of you wanted him to come to you.
--------------------
"Here they come Y/N" Maria announced drawing your attention to the slew of uniforms headed towards the front of the airport. You knew Billy hated the clapping and the "Thank you for your service" they always got. Hell Frank took it with a tight nod to whoever was saying it.
Your eyes scanned the crowd knowing the two of them would be together and after this long you would be able to spot them anywhere. Your eyes locked onto Billy at the same moment he spotted you and a wide smile spread across his face. "What are you waiting for? Go welcome your marine home" Maria said giving you a light shove.
You took a few tentative steps towards them and saw Billy drop his bags to meet you halfway then you ran the final few feet into his arms. "God I've missed you" he breathed into your neck as he picked you up off the ground holding you tight against his chest. For the first time you allowed yourself to feel every emotion that came along with being in his arms. "I've missed you too" you confessed wrapping your arms around his neck.
When he placed you back on your feet the smile he gave you made your knees feel weak "I really want to kiss you sweetheart" "Then do it" you replied with a smile of your own. When his lips met yours it was like a jolt of electricity went through your body. You'd never believed Maria about all the fireworks the first time she kissed Frank but in that moment you understood.
You let out a light sigh pulling him down closer to you to deepen the kiss as he slid his tongue into your mouth rolling it against yours. You forgot about everyone and everything in that moment besides how it felt to finally be kissing him. Or you forgot until Lisa let out an excited yelp "I KNEW YOU LIKED AUNT Y/N!"
Billy pulled away from you with a guilty smile spread across his face but slid an arm around your waist as he turned to face her. Yeah you did Lis. I should've listened then"
Frank cleared his throat and when you cut your eyes up at him he was all before laughing "Now that the two of you are no longer playing tonsil hockey in the middle of the airport I'd like to get something to eat followed by a hot shower and at least eight hours of sleep"  "eight? I was thinking ten or twelve" Billy added kissing your cheek before all of you headed outside.
--------------------
All of you ended up back at the Castles splitting pizza. You helped Maria get the kids settled for bed then came back in the living room to find Frank and Billy both drifting off on the couch.
"Fellas neither of you have gotten the hot shower you wanted" you reminded and they both roused up yawning "Yeah and no offense to the couch here but I'd rather sleep in a bed tonight" Billy agreed grabbing his bag from the floor.
Frank pulled you into a hug and half mumbled "See you tomorrow kid. I'm gonna go grab a shower and hit the hay" "Night Frank"
Him and Billy said their good nights while you spoke to Maria. "Headed home?" She asked and you nodded "Yes ma'am. I'm off today and tomorrow then I work back to back shifts  then I'm off Friday and Saturday and don't go in until the over night shift on Sunday" she pulled you into a hug and whispered into your ear "are you calmer now?" You nodded so she smiled then added in a normal tone "Billy I expect you to make sure she gets home ok?"
He hugged her and said "You know I'd never let anything happen to her Maria"
--------------------
You and Billy ended up taking a cab back to your building. A part of you always wondered if you should get a car but this was New York City most of the people you knew that didn't have kids just walked or took cabs.
You paid the driver earning a look from Billy who mumbled "Sweetheart I was going to do that" you shrugged innocently "Habit?"
You smiled when he slid an arm around your waist after he climbed out behind you "I forgive you but since you're off Friday I'm claiming that night for our first actual date" you turned to look at him as the two of you walked through the door of your building "should I be worried?" He grinned in response making your heart do a flip.
--------------------
It wasn't until you were stepping off the elevator that it occured to you that Billy was fucking exhausted and his apartment was another four and a half blocks away
"Um Billy if I mean you don't have to but if you want to just stay here tonight you're welcomed" you tried not to stumble your words because it by far wouldn't be the first night the two of you shared a bed or couch or hell even hammock for that matter.
"Depends" he spoke following you into your apartment and dropping his bags by the door. You laid your keys and bag down then turned to face him not realizing he was close enough that turning put you nearly flush against him.
"Depends on what?" You asked bracing your hands on his chest to keep your balance. He pulled you closer a smile pulling at his lips "Do I get to sleep in the bed with you?" "If you want" you teased only for him to pull you into another kiss. This kiss wasn't as urgent and rushed as the one at the airport. This was a lingering kiss full of want and need but also the feelings both of you had buried for so long finally being allowed the light of day.
When he pulled away and rested his forehead against yours both of you were breathing heavier than before. He closed his eyes and swallowed twice before finally saying "God I wish I wasn't this tired" you felt a warmth flood through you at his words. He really did want you as much as you wanted him. "We have time Billy. Go get a shower then I'll grab one and we can go to sleep"
--------------------
When you walked out the bathroom you were brushing your hair and smiled when you saw Billy sprawled across the bed. His long legs spread out before him clothed in only the sweatpants he'd left at your place before his last deployment. He had one arm draped over his eyes. You allowed yourself the moment to take in the sight of the man you cared so much about. Every scar that littered his bare chest you knew the story behind including one that you'd inadvertently caused with a paintball a few years back.
You had the biggest urge to run your fingers across them but didn't want to wake him up so you simply slid into bed turning on your side with your back to him. You felt the mattress dip right before Billy's arm slid around your waist pulling you so your back was tight against his chest "This ok with you?" He breathed against your neck his voice heavy with sleep and the warmth of air on your bare skin making you have to resist the urge to squirm. "More than ok" you whispered and weren't sure he'd heard you until he chuckled lightly "good. Let's get some sleep"
--------------------
Billy woke up before you. He glared at the curtains that were cracked just enough for one stream of sunlight to sneak in. One glance at the clock told him he'd somehow managed to keep you in bed longer than he'd ever known of you sleeping. It was a few minutes shy of ten in the morning yet you were still curled up fast asleep.
He smiled at seeing you so peaceful in his arms. You were gorgeous all the time but now? He'd never dreamt of anyone like you. Being your friend had been the biggest blessing and now you were giving him a chance. You were handing your heart over and trusting him not to break it. Your words from the night before found him again "We have time Billy"
Every other time he'd hit stateside he'd look forward to spending time with you. When he'd leave he'd miss you like crazy and now he was allowed to finally show you just how much you meant to him. As if you could hear some of his thoughts a small smile slipped onto your face "It's not polite to stare Russo"
"Well don't be so beautiful then maybe I won't" he replied moving his arm so you could turn around to face him. You yawned then glanced over your shoulder at the clock "Damn this is the longest I've slept in a while" he didn't try to stop the smirk that was pulling at his lips "Well maybe you just needed me here with you"  "maybe" you agreed your eyes never leaving his.
He moved his hand up to brush your hair out your face noticing how your eyes closed just for a second at the contact. He kept his hand on the side of your face then moved it down to grip your jaw gently. When he moved to catch your lips in a kiss you met him halfway.
He groaned when you licked into his mouth taking control of the kiss. He moved his hands down to grip your hips then flipped to be on his back pulling you on top of him. You gasped at the sudden movement bracing your hands against his chest. "Billy" hearing his name come from you spoken like that was enough to make him harden under you.
You rolled your hips as you kissed him and it was everything he could do to not thrust up to meet the movement. You moved from his mouth to his neck leaving kisses along his jaw. When you just barely grazed his earlobe with your teeth he grabbed your hips a bit harder than he meant to. "Y/N you've got to stop sweetheart"
Every emotion from confusion to hurt crossed your face in a few seconds time. "Did I do something wrong?" That made his chest ache. Did you not know just how badly he wanted to push those little sleep shorts you had on off your hips and bury himself inside of you? You meant more to him than a physical release. He had to make sure you knew he was serious about the chance you'd given him.
He quickly shook his head holding you in place even when you tried to move off him "Hell no. Look I want to. Fuck I want to but I promised myself I'd at the very least take you on an actual date before I had sex with you. You deserve to be treated like the amazing woman you are. I just want this to be something more than either of us have had in the past"
You were quiet for a few seconds and he was afraid you'd taken what he said wrong but after a moment you nodded then smiled "I want that too Billy" when you climbed off him he was still worried until you grabbed his hand and said "Now come make out with your girlfriend while I wait on my coffee to make"
--------------------
When the two of you finally made it to Frank and Maria's that evening Curtis was the one who opened the door when you knocked. "Hey Curt" you greeted with a smile and he pulled you into a hug.
When Billy walked in behind you Curtis pulled away and winked at you before saying "I can still hug her right?"  "Depends you gonna say hello to me too?" Billy joked pulling Curt into a one armed hug.
Before anyone could say anything else you heard footsteps a moment before Lisa, Frank Jr and Maria walked around the corner. "Uncle Curt did you know aunt Y/N is uncle Billy's girlfriend now?" Lisa asked and Maria laughed "Why don't you kids go play?"
When they ran off she glanced between Curtis and Billy "Frank's out back" "Curtis nodded and headed that way but Billy made sure to kiss your cheek before following.
------------------
The moment they were out of earshot Maria raised an eyebrow at you "What have you two been up to?" You rolled your eyes and started not to answer her but the two of you had no secrets you'd known about Lisa before Frank had "We slept in until ten. He wants to take me out on an actual date Friday"
She giggled and looped her arm through yours "Let's get some wine then discuss what outfit and what lingerie you should wear because if you two haven't by then date night always ends up that way"
--------------------
You knew that despite their demeanour it always took the guys a few days to fully get home and even longer to start to adjust back. Hell there was times that they would barely get over the war jetlag before deploying again. Being together and with Curtis helped them a lot.  You'd helped Billy through many sleepless nights over the years. He'd needed you so you were there.
Seeing him laughing with Frank and Curtis around the grill made your heart do a flip. You understood why he had hit the brakes when things started to get heated. He needed time to get home fully and he wanted to actually take you out.  Knowing that he was trying his best to prove he was a better man than you'd ever been with made you want him even more.
If only he knew you'd always known he was a better man. That was why your last few relationships hadn't worked out. You'd compared them to him every time and no one could measure up
You were talking to Maria about your shift the following day while the two of you watched the kids roast marshmallows. You hadn't realized Billy had moved until he leaned down over you for a kiss. You met his lips halfway smiling against them "What was that for?" You asked as he turned to walk back across the yard. He glanced back with a smirk and shrugged "You just looked like you needed to be kissed"

“The Thing I Miss The Most” - Ronniecoln fanfiction, 2k words
Hey everyone! I’ve been off Tumblr a lot recently due to school and personal life issues, but my dumbass is finally back, and I have this to share! I’ve been thinking about writing a Ronniecoln fic for quite a while now since I can never find any good ones, so here it is! I may write more fics in the future for different shows and books, depends on how much energy I’ll have and how much I’ll hyperfixate
Anyways, enjoy this fic!
.
.
.
It was a relaxing evening at Green Lakes City. The sky was clear of clouds as a warm glow covered the streets and buildings around the area. While waiting for the sun to set down, the two friends were sitting in the park, chatting about whatever they desired.
"I'm telling you, it was huge! Lisa hasn't made an explosion this big since Christmas!" Lincoln threw his hands to the sides, trying to convey how large the outburst was.
"So that's why Vanzilla broke down when you were next to us on Christmas eve?" Ronnie Anne asked, giggling before asking the question.
"Well… not exactly. I'll tell you about that some other time." Lincoln rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment, figuring he should keep that part a secret.
"That's another story to the list, I guess." She joked again "Sometimes I wonder why you even come to visit with all that stuff happening there."
"Let's just say I have my reasons, don't you worry about it." He joked as well, trying to go alone with her tone. Truth be told, even with everything happening in Royal Woods, he still jumped at every opportunity to go see her, which made him think about that habit more often than he should have. "So what happened with the sloth again?"
"Oh, right!" She remembered the story she was telling before the two of them got sidetracked "So after we found it, Sid insisted we call her mom first to tell her, but then-" Ronnie Anne continued going on about her story again, but with no matter how much he tried to focus, Lincoln's mind drifted somewhere else.
When Ronnie Anne just moved away from Royal Woods, Lincoln thought he was gonna be fine with it. Sure, it may have felt a little different, but it was bound to happen. That change was going to start one way or another, and he was going to be there for her whenever she needed it. To be frank, he didn't expect to feel the way he did.
Back when Ronnie Anne still lived there, his relationship with her was constantly changing. They started out as a sort of enemies, which turned into a weird friendship, that then became genuine care for each other. But even then, he didn't think much of it. Not until she was gone.
Things started to feel different. There was no prank during sloppy joe Thursday, or anyone to call him 'Lame-O' whenever he passed by his locker, or even the presence of someone flying by him on a skateboard after school, waving to him afterwards.
Soon enough, Lincoln started to miss things about Ronnie Anne he didn't even think he noticed before. He missed seeing her pass by his house on her way to the skate park during the weekend, or how her smile grew bigger as soon as they got out of school. He missed hearing her laugh after he said something unbelievably dorky or whenever they were watching cat videos together. He missed the tough yet caring attitude she had whenever bandging him up after he made a fool out of himself while skating. It didn't take long for him to realize that he didn't just miss all those little things about her, he missed her.
To him, Royal Woods just wasn't the same without Ronnie Anne. He wanted to go see her so often because she was the missing piece in his puzzle. The person he grew to cherish.
But on the other hand, Ronnie Anne seems to do just fine in her new place.
While Lincoln was feeling sad and gloomy about her being away, Ronnie Anne thrived in the new and exciting metropolis. While she took time getting used to the big family life, she grew to love it and enjoy the chaotic moments with her energetic and affectionate relatives. Her abuelos were always keeping everyone in check, her tío and tía were showering her with new knowledge and tears of love every time, her primos were all loveable and fun in their own way, her mom and brother could finally spend more time with her, her dad even moved there to be a part of her life again.
Not only that, but Ronnie Anne found a friend group quicker than expected. Unsurprisingly, the big city is full of rugged and cool kids just like her, and despite the initial worry, she connected with them super well. Heck, she even found herself a new best friend, who had way more cool knowledge and energy. Ronnie Anne clicked with her almost on the spot, and they are even neighbors, so they spend every day together enjoying the suburbs and streets to the fullest.
Moving to the city changed Ronnie Anne as a person, anyone who knew her from before could tell that, especially Lincoln. Her distant and annoyed personality faded away once she was able to start a new page and leave the 'toughest girl' persona behind for good.
Lincoln didn't wanna be a bad friend about it. He knew life in Royal Woods wasn't exactly treating her well, and living in Green Lakes was what she deserves because it made her a happier person. He's glad she found a place she feels better in, but despite the constant reminders in his head, he couldn't help but miss their times in Royal Woods, just a little. With everything she has there, maybe she just… doesn't miss him, like he misses her. If they hadn't talked on a daily basis, maybe she would've forgotten about him by now. Maybe he's just not interesting like the city and people around, maybe she–
"Linc? Lincoln? Are you okay?"
Suddenly, the concerned and caring voice pulled him back to reality, and he remembered where he was and what he should've been thinking about this whole time. He looked at her after realizing his train of thoughts, noticing the look of confusion and worry on her face.
"Lincoln, are you okay? Were you listening to what I saying?" Ronnie Anne asked, trying to figure out what caused the expression on Lincoln's face.
"Oh-- Yeah, yeah! I'm good! Sorry, I was just thinking! About…. Stuff." Lincoln responded with a nervous demeanor, hoping his spacing out didn't seem like a big issue.
Despite the uncertain answer, Ronnie Anne didn't seem to be convinced.
"Are you sure?" She asked again, dropping the previous conversation "What's on your mind? Maybe I can help or something."
"I– It's–" Lincoln tried to think of an excuse or a better explanation to this, before his train of thoughts took him to another ride. What reason does he have not to tell her? They had personal and deep conversations before, they opened up to each other about things, and besides, she's his best friend. The worst he'll get out of this is a confused response and a laugh, and the best is a genuine answer, so he has nothing to lose.
He thought about it for another second or two, before finally biting the bullet.
"Well… I just have a question for you, if you're cool with answering and everything."
"Huh?" She looked at him with confusion at first, but shrugged off as the calm smile returned to her face "Sure, so what's going on?"
"Well, it's just something that crossed my mind and you're totally free to not answer if you don't want to, but… what do you miss most about Royal Woods?" He tried asking in a casual tone to the best of his abilities, but inside, he was really hoping for some sort of answer.
"Oh, well, I can answer that." She said, with a thoughtful look on her face "I guess the first thing is my room. I mean, don't get me wrong, the room I have now is great, but I had more space in Royal Woods. And also peace. You can't exactly skateboard indoors in our apartment."
Lincoln tried to keep a high spirit as he listened to her, but his storm of thoughts pulled him back inside. Maybe she didn't think about it like he did. Maybe she just has it better out here, with all those new people.
"I miss flippees too. No matter what drinks we have here, they just can't top that flavor."
Maybe he was being delusional when he hoped for a different answer. Maybe she just doesn't miss–
"And also… someone."
"Huh?"
That answer stopped his storm of thoughts at once. Someone?
"Wait, someone?"
"Yeah, it's a person who's really important to me." Ronnie Anne spoke as the smile on her face grew bigger, as if hinting at something. "He's kind of a dork, but he was there for me even when I couldn't always be for him. I guess he's just really special in my opinion."
"Really?" Lincoln asked, dumbfounded at the new person she mentioned. Who is that? Maybe a family member? Or a friend he didn't know about? "Wait, who is that person?" He asked, having no idea on who she's talking about.
However, at that question, Ronnie Anne laughed, making him even more confused.
"You seriously don't know?"
"No? Who is it???"
His confusion got one more laugh out of her, before the genuine smile of hers came to the surface.
"Lincoln, it's you."
Huh?
Lincoln stopped almost instantly. It's  him? He's that important person? That doesn't make sense. Not with all the amazing people she has in her life now.
"Me? But that– that doesn't make any sense," he started speaking now, as if letting all of his thoughts speak up and speak loud "I mean- You have all those amazing people now, and Royal Woods isn't all that special in comparison, and I'm not even that important! So why you–"
"Linc, you're you. That's what makes you so important." Ronnie Anne looked at him for a moment, shutting him up as the sparkle in her eyes was noticeable as the sun washed over her. She looked away, the calm smile on her face always remaining.
"Royal Woods wasn't that special to me because I was always lonely there, but it's thanks to you that things actually changed. If it was anyone else, they probably would've stopped talking to me after a day or two because of who I was, but you still stuck by me even when I wasn't the best person around, and it was thanks to you I was able to learn a ton of stuff about myself and other people,  and I don't think I would've been doing as great as I am now without you around. So even if you don't think you're something special, well…."
Her hand was suddenly resting on his as he looked up at her in genuine surprise, seeing her caring smile directed at him once more.
"You'll always be special to me."
With that one sentence, all of Lincoln's worries seemed to disappear on a whim. The voice of Ronnie Anne kept echoing in his head as he felt his burning up, was he blushing? Well, whatever it was, it didn't matter. He felt like he could stay in this moment forever, overwhelmed with happiness and butterflies in his stomach.
Before he knew it, Ronnie Anne pulled away and gave him a light punch on the arm, giving her usual laugh to go along with it.
"Man, I was really cheesy there. You gotta let me know when I get lost with words like some sappy person."
Lincoln nodded slowly for a moment, still thinking about the moment from before, but her laughter did nothing but contribute to his growing grin, and his cheeks heating up, of course. He may have felt as if his face was on fire, but something in him just couldn't recognize anything else but his dear friend next to him and the growing fluttery feeling inside him as he laughed along.
"Well, I'll try, but no promises!" He joked one more time, before realizing how much time had passed. "Oh, look! The sun is setting down!"
"Huh?" She turned around to see the orange glow beginning to fade, saying in surprise "Oh, nice!", before turning to face the lovely scene.
Lincoln turned to face the sun as well, but as he rested his head on his arms and knees, he turned away for just a moment.
Ronnie Anne, despite everything they went through, was still there, right next to him. Her smile glowed in the fading light, and her eyes sparkled at the sunset in joy. The tingly feeling in his stomach returned, and Lincoln couldn't help but look at her in a fond smile.
Maybe he should tell her there is someone special in his life too. Someday.

Do you have a favorite musical composer or director? If so, why are they your favorite!
Tough question, but I do maintain that I do, genuinely, like Frank Wildhorn's work.
Okay -- Pretty much all the critical reviews of his stuff are 100% accurate. The man often sacrifices plot and characterization to spectacle and pop ballads, but...there's something to be said for SPECTACLE, isn't there? We're living in an age where Broadway is increasingly....un-ambitious. Which you could argue has been the case for ages now, but it's not getting *better*. I grow weary of the endless putting down of jukebox musicals; I think they're a valid art form and a valid approach to musicals, but the truth is that we DO currently have no fewer than three currently on Broadway at the moment. The age of the overblown gothic spectacle has been swept away by this sleek, modern musical that is increasingly embarrassed of the fact that it's a musical to begin with.
And...Frank Wildhorn is many things, but chief among them is EARNEST. He genuinely BELIEVES in his musicals and in romance and in love ballads and sword fights and adventure, and it shows. Yes, the time I spent with Wonderland was 2 hours of my life that I'll never get back, but STILL. He *cared* about it. He LOVES spectacle, he loves over the top stagings that draw you into the world of the musical, he loves period settings and that scratches a specific place in my id.
He also, genuinely, LOVES villain songs, and it shows. His most iconic songs are, overwhelmingly, the villain songs -- "Life after Life" from Dracula, "The Reign of Terror" from Robespierre, "I Will Prevail" from Wonderland, "Falcon in the Dive" from Scarlet Pimpernel, "Monster Inside of Me" from The Man Who Laughs, "A Story Told" from The Count of Monte Cristo, either "Hurricane" or "The Game Begins" from Death Note (depending on if you view a "villain song" as belonging to a villain or an antagonist), "You belong to me" from Carmen (though imo, Zuniga is Wildhorn's most vile and terrifying villain, yes, even in competition with Hyde), "You and I" from Svengali...the man GETS villain songs and how they work, and it means that his villains, imo, are often more charismatic and interesting than his leads (who are often, again, imo, bland self-inserts who hurt the women around them, who take it with a loving smile because they are the Madonna in the Madonna-Whore dichotomy...which could be interesting if it was explored more but is often taken for granted.)
This is especially true with his female villains which...I know we've discussed this before, but it's so GREAT to see female villains get VILLAIN SONGS. There truly aren't that many female villains in musical theatre, fewer who actually...are allowed...to be villains. It feels sometimes like, even though we've improved so MUCH even since I first started being a musical fan, about....14 years ago...there's still an expectation that women's songs in theatre should be Girl Power songs, or sad, or soft, and...that's great, but sometimes, *I* want to be the badass, powerful one. Also pretty lady step on me. Morgana from XCalibur (even though she suffers from some tragic writing in both versions of it) and Hatter from Wonderland, even though they're not EXEMPT from sexist writing decisions, ARE badass, when they're allowed to be. Likewise, Lucy from Jekyll and Hyde (again, who isn't exempt from sexist decisions) gets some of the most iconic songs from the musical. Mina from Dracula, ditto-- "Please Don't Make Me Love You". Carmen and Mata Hari (and, again, ditto for not being exempt from sexism) both have their OWN shows, and, imo, are presented in a way that tries to understand them and gives them some really strong songs that get to the heart of why they are the way they are. I'm forever in MOURNING for "If you Only Knew" from Jekyll and Hyde, since it REALLY got to the heart of Emma/Lisa's character in an interesting way (likewise for "Lisa Carew" from the concept album). "Viva" from Carmen is a great example of a woman just...enjoying life and enjoying living life, while "I Can't Go Back" from Mata Hari is a great exploration of Mata's fears, her anxiety over being dragged back into a life she's terrified of leaving behind.
The man is a middle aged straight white male composer -- fine, but also...how many composers are perfect? It's a matter of choosing what flaws you're willing to live with and which ones you aren't. Plenty of people are fine with, for example, Kunze and Levay's, and I feel like they do less but claim more re: their depictions of women. I feel like Frankhorn...does *try*, especially since marrying Wao Yoka, and I think that he does love her. I think that she's really helped him expand his repertoire and his range as far as his subject matter, and I think that his move to Japan (specifically, Takarazuka) and Korea as far as his focus is probably for the best, as it allows him to do what he wants with an audience who will actually appreciate him.

Truth : LEAST favorite superior Kai?
Dare : Rip apart a Lisa Frank sticker page
Truth or Dare
What a cruel game this was from the outset. Literal torture, as far as he's concerned.
"How could you do this to me...!? Um..."
Tumblr media
To tear apart the most beautiful stickers he's ever seen in his life is nothing short of blasphemy. However, considering his failure to be murdered as scheduled, he can't afford to burn any more bridges than he already has.
It's for survival, he tells himself as his trembling hands hover over the sticker sheet. Stickers can be replaced, but my already less than favorable reputation is going to be impossible to salvage if I keep making it worse, he tries to assure himself as he picks up the sheet, getting his hands in position to start ripping.
Tumblr media
He can't bear to look as he tears the sheet in half with one swift motion, but the sound is enough to rip his heart in two as well. And for got measure, he takes those halves and tears them again, another wound.
Tumblr media
"...There!" He pants as though he's just gone through the most grueling experience of his life. "Are you happy now, you monster?!"

Hi chat, I need to spread my truth. In Lisa the painful, there are two party members out of the 30 party members that can be read as a trans, Fly and Queen
Let’s start with Queen because she has the most. Now the game does not portray her in a good light (trans wise) however, she could be read as a transfem. Look at her character bio, it states “…Queen Roger was outcasted as a child for his feminine behavior. This ultimately is what has given him such a thick skin. Even before the apocalypse, he has been known to kill people.” She was outcasted by people for her femininity, and she grew tough because of it, to defend herself from those who judge or saw less of her simply because she was trans. As well as when others are shown to be mistreated for their femininity (example the intro for when you enter the beehive), she beats them til they're nothing but broken bones and a pulp of flesh. She’s also the leader of a group of people who give women-less(???) world, a place of freedom and self expression, As well as simply a sex house, but that’s besides the point. The point is, this is one of the safest parts of the game, because it clashes with the games theme of toxic masculinity, it opens the main protagonist to an area with freedom to express who you are, whether that be in a quick and short notice. Hell, you can even become a bee! And that’s how you get her as a party member! By doing work in the beehive. Anyway enough about this cool badass transfem.
Fly is described to hate his life before the flash and then adopting a new persona after the flash, thus making him happier than he was before. To quote the character bio, “Frank hated his life, until he became "Fly". He based his new self off of a cool Sentai Anime he would watch.” It was like he molded a self he could finally look at with joy and a little too much pride, so much so that when he is beaten at the thing he brags at he will hate you for the rest of the game, following you around and insulting you until the end where he doesn’t hesitate to kill you. “Now terry why did you bring that up” because it’s truly interesting how much he care about this persona enough that when a single person gets under his skin about it (unintentionally that is) he’s bitter and petty about it. It makes you wonder how much this persona means to him and how he was before the apocalypse. Though, I can only theorize that it was the pent up rage of all the traumas and experiences being in the wrong body their entire life. Also Fly could be read as Transfem, Non-binary, or even transmasc. Go wild my friends.
Now, why pair them together?
Now Fly and Queen have not talked/interacted with each other yet (unless you want to wait til the new update drops) however, I think the idea of the two bug themed characters being paired up, is neat in a way. Like how flies imitate bees in real life. Also pairing the guy with the most hatred in the world with a girl who is kind of like a straight (wo) man is a little funny, but also neat because they can both have thought provoking convos if the main protag isn’t mention (for example, both discussing how they found their true selves or something along those lines)
Anyway, this has been my propaganda ramble. Please vote Honey Cart one million times

I've been spending a lot of time at the library. Can you blame me? My apartment's full of ghosts and work is full of weirdos. Bob's passion for apple varieties was charming at first, but it got old when his draft of the Harvest Festival flyers came back half-covered in informational block text. Lisa's art didn't pass review either- not enough pumpkins and too many screaming faces. After a 2 hour stalemate over the flyer design, we were all exhausted, and Janet threatened to send it out the way it was if we couldn't figure something else out. Bob frantically asked if I could use "the AI" to fix it. I just wanted to go home, so I smiled, nodded, and slapped the festival date onto a stock photo of some hay bales, earning me the title of resident tech genius. Sometimes being the youngest employee isn't so bad.
Anyway, the library is now the only place I can find any peace. I spend most of my free time now in the archives, reading the obituaries over and over. I found a few of the women whose names were on that paper. Their old-timey causes of death alternate between confusing and tragic: typhoid, dropsy, childbirth, "debility." But I can't find any connections between them. I keep searching, reading over the same lines, hoping they'll show me something new.
That's what I was doing today when Aiden found me. He noticed I haven't been at the coffee shop lately and went to look for me. He's a good friend. Better than I deserve.
At first I tried to avoid his questions. I covered up my notes as I scrambled to make up stories of where I've been for the past month. But as I looked at him I remembered Frank and Becca desperately looking for their friend, Evelyn tearing up as she wondered what happened to him. If I get what I want, I'll find whatever led to Pat's disappearance, and we all know how that ended for him. I couldn't do that to Aiden. So I sighed and invited him to sit with me.
The truth came out slowly. At first he just sat and watched me shuffle through my notes. Eventually he started asking questions and that got me to talk. It felt good to tell someone. Not as scary as I expected. He took my story pretty well (or, at least as well as someone can when their friend is going crazy). I don't think he believes me, but he helped me look through the archives anyway, probably just to humor me. We didn't find anything though.
After a while the library closed and we had to go home empty-handed. Still today doesn't feel like a total waste. I may not have answered the questions that brought me here yet. But if I made a friend who's willing to join me on this wild goose- er, ghost- chase, maybe I did something right.
