Recorded during the North American Tour March/April 1977.

The “power trio” of Edger Froese, Chris Franke and Peter Baumann is one of my favourite lineups out of the many incarnations of Tangerine Dream. Three guys with a mountain of synths and a guitar— the last pic is for all you gear heads to check out what instruments they’re playing.

Though I’ve listened to dozens of live bootlegs on YouTube it’s nice to have this double album in my collection. This is the first record I’ve bought in years!

Tangie: An Uplifting and Citrusy Sativa Strain

Tangie is a Sativa-dominant cannabis strain known for its energetic and mood-lifting effects. As the name suggests, this strain has a distinct citrusy aroma and flavor profile reminiscent of tangerines. 

Tangie was originally created as a tribute to Tangerine Dream, and they did meticulous jobs. This strain is a sativa-dominant hybrid of Skunk #1 and California Orange. Its flowers are rich in fruity and skunky aromas. Its effects are motivating and creative, and just one hit is enough to experience them.

The origins of Tangie can be traced back to breeders who wanted to create a tribute strain to the popular 1990s cultivar Tangerine Dream. They crossed California Orange, a balanced hybrid from the 1980s, with the legendary Skunk #1. The result was a stable and high-yielding strain with invigorating sativa high and complex fruity terpenes. 

The Tangie weed strain produces a complex, fruity, and skunky scent. Several terpenes contribute sweet, earthy, and sour notes, whereas volatile sulfur compounds add touches of fuel and skunk.

You’ll get a good feel for Tangie terpene profile in joints and bongs. However, you’ll get more of an appreciation for them when vaping at a low temperature. Additionally, they work well in savory edibles, including sauces, dressings, and soups.

The defining characteristic of Tangie is its sweet, tangerine-like aroma and flavor. It contains a mix of myrcene, pinene, and terpinolene terpenes, which provide earthy, piney, and citrusy notes. The uplifting high provides motivation and creativity without anxiousness or paranoia. Overall, Tangie is tasty sativa for daytime use when you need energy and positivity.
