Was talking to my sister about how sskk subvert conventional representations of sun/moon relationships with Atsushi being the moon (Beast Beneath the Moonlight, protective, blue) and Akutagawa being the sun (powerful, destructive, red). And that's when she said “of course, that ties with how the moon shines brighter because of the sun behind it, and Atsushi is the most powerful thanks to the aid of Rashomon Akutagawa provides”. I started thinking about what type of holidays Alderaan would have (if one wants to write a christmas/yule type of fic) and my favorite thought was them having a winter holiday that is very reminiscent of Icelandic christmas/yule.

I would love to say that this decisions was for aesthetic reasons or for some other deeper thought, but let's be real, my only reason for this decision was that I thought it would be really funny for Fox to experience the whole thing. Like this man is having an entirely normal day and then Bail just out of nowhere tells him that oh, by the way, we need to put a pair of shoes out on the window for the kids, because Spoonlicker is coming down from the mountain tonight.
