fanfic writers are just tv writers that aren't getting paid

#fanfic writers #fanfiction writers #fanfiction #fanfic writing #fic writing #writing is writing #fiction is fiction #it takes the same amount of time to write fiction you get paid for than fiction you write for free i can assure you #the content is just as original in its transformative way #the story the lines #tv writers literally get hired to write about fictional characters they didn't create #it's a specific kind of talent and it's just as hard as it is creating completely original characters from scratch #because you need to understand those characters #get their voices right #know what they'd do in a every specific situation #and create new story territory for them while keeping them true to themselves #creating original content has its difficulty too #you need imagination #but you can also mold it exactly as you want it and it's easy to know your characters when you made them #they're just two different approaches to writing #and every time you sit down to write you create original content #every fic out there is a new story itself #and it's not like fanfiction cannot add new original characters to the story #or new worlds #when writing AUs or expanding the canonverse with original ideas #fanfic writers deserve so much more respect than they get #fanfiction is a literary genre and i will die on that hill

I love that all of the dungeon meshi crew are complicated and have difficult to love components.#But Izutsumi is a particular kind of hard to love. I foresee a lot of people being turned off by her abrasiveness and lack of teamwork.#She is very self-centered and openly goes against what the party agrees on.#She's a picky eater in a story that is 50% about eating good and healthy food!#It is in part about her growth but admittedly even *then* she remains rather true to her self-centeredness.#Even though she isn't as nice or funny or compassionate as the others...Izutsumi is still someone worth loving.#Even the more difficult people are someone worth loving.#And those people in turn are people who have something and someone they love.#She may be a girlcat but she is the most human of them all.#I hope that if you are an anime only watcher and are feeling put off by her at the moment; you'll give her a chance.#By the way: *yes* I worked very hard to draw that skateboard pose. It was worth it.#EDIT: HAPPY 500th POST OF POORLY-DRAW-MDZS!!! What a comic to commemorate the milestone with!

Parkour Civilization 1 is about how capitalism incentives the people living within it to keep moving up its ranks (even though it’s functionally impossible to do so), believing they’ll be safe if they just get a bit richer, only to be in a situation that’s even more difficult to maintain. How one bad fall can cost you everything, and how it’s much easier for the rich to avoid making that fall.

Parkour Civilization 2 is about getting betrayed by queercoded bitches (you are parkour Jesus Christ).

karen wilson is so severely underutilized like why is the show not sending her on the same adventures and hijinks that michael used to get into?? i demand a subplot where chris and denny are in the same science class and are supposed to be building rockets and both she (literal rocket scientist) and buck (audhder hyperfixated on random scientific knowledge) get way too into it. have her athena and maddie go on a no-firefighters-allowed excursion that ends in them catching a serial killer. introduce karen and bobby inexplicably having beef only for it to be revealed that it was all caused by an imessage scrabble game gone wrong. we as a society need storylines for karen wilson in season eight that don’t revolve around her either being an extension of hen or the constant ongoing prevention of them getting another kid

#I enjoyed this process So MUCH #And what a process it was. In one wip Solas looked a little bit too beat up... to balance the line of disheveled and on the brink of death #Is a delicate line #And painting these floating stones was such a joy! Good practice too as I don't often draw spacious and atmospheric scenes #I should do it more often. I was inspired by the concept art of Dai and datv. The amount of stories you can tell with the colors! LOVE #I tried a new technique for painting the skin and it was challenging. I layered transparent colors over a black and white shadow sketch.#A technique usually kept for oilpainting but it translated surprisingly well in digital media #And side note. AO3 easy trick: sometimes when I want to leave a comment on a fic but I dont know what to say specifically I'll just paste my favorite line(s)/little paragraph and then write something like "I loved this so much/this fic is amazing" or even just a string of hearts.

writers love knowing what lines stuck the most and this way you don't need to elaborate too much of your own

Scary Sunset.

I'm concepting things way outta order in this story, but I'm sure you can piece things together. Context is for a storybeat where, after defeating and capturing Adagio (thus having all three sirens in her possession), Sunset enacts her revenge plot to release the sirens on Canterlot as Thea discovers she's been manipulated. In a confrontation, the two scuffle and fight over the siren orbs while Sunset struggles with her conflicting wants and emotions.
