And I'm the fucking king - i feel like this is very obvious, but his devotion is so strong not even absorbing the curse can destroy his soul. he is determined, he WILL protect his love. he rises to ghost king

I want things that money can't buy/ The price is pain to make this right/ And I could buy a thousand lives/ So you can try to kill me, but I can't fucking die - he establishes ghost city, a place for the lost and the broken, somewhere the outcasts can belong, a place all can call home. but at what cost? still, he never gives up on finding xl. despite all the wealth and power he has, he still cannot have the one thing he wants. at least not for the next 800 or so years
