A mortician career for your sims! This was requested by Catrillion and was super interesting to research! Your sim can join it via the Hospital rabbithole and is available from Young Adult through to Elder.

I used @missy-hissy's career tutorial to make this and a huge thanks to @zoeoe-sims for helping me with some infuriating bugs we finally got sorted out!

Details under the cut!

This career has ten levels and requires you to level Science and the hidden skill Styling, which can be improved by using the Styling Station to do makeovers at the salon. The skill won't show up in the skills panel, but the metric should change and you can track its level through MasterController.

Since there wasn't a strict progression for this job IRL, I've varied it a little bit to encompass all skills a fully qualified mortician and embalmer would need. There's long hours and extra studies included -- it's not an easy job!

There's no opportunities or books to read, but there are uniforms from the Medical career included, which should show up from Level 2. Carpool only shows up at Level 2 onwards, so don't panic if you need to manually send your sim to work.

Please note if you want to use this, you must have Nraas Careers installed for it to show up!

Description: "You’ve always been fascinated by death, sneaking into the movie theatre to watch the horror flicks much too young and reading books your mother would have definitely taken away from you. You have a knack for biology and have followed Olive Specter’s SimTube channel since she first started uploading in the middle of the night. With the job market uncertain right now, why not look into becoming a mortician? It can’t be any worse than EverFresh Supermarket…"

Level 2 - Apprentice - 09:00 until 15:00, M-F, 30 simoleans p/h

Description: "After many days of scrolling through job listings and qualifications in the hospital cafe, you’ve finally found the guts to apply for an apprenticeship. It’s not the best paid and you’re still stuck in the classroom, but at least the coursework is interesting. Now just to pass the exams…"

Level 3 - Mortuary Admin Specialist - 09:00 until 17:00, M-F, 40 simoleans p/h

Description: "You’ve passed your course, got that diploma, and swaggered out of that classroom with a spring in your step… only for your first gig to be doing the admin work at the local mortuary. At the moment you’re spending your time booking appointments and sending emails with the occasional aside of cleaning the equipment, but show enough enthusiasm and you’ll soon be moving on up."

Level 4 - Mortuary Technician - 09:00 until 18:00, Mon/Wed/Fri/Sat/Sun, 60 simoleans p/h

Description: "Your first actual job is dressing and caring for the deceased, making sure they’re laid to rest in the coffin of their choosing and that their funeral is exactly what they and their family wanted. It’s delicate, gentle work, making sure death has dignity. Sometimes it’s the living that need you more; you’ll need a calm voice and be a shoulder to cry on for families who have to say goodbye."

Level 5 - Mortuary Technician Team Leader - 09:00 until 18:00, Mon/Wed/Fri/Sat/Sun, 75 simoleans p/h

Description: "You’ve proved to have a light touch with the makeup brush and know the right words to comfort the bereaved, so a promotion is in order and that means working with the parts that make up a human body. Your duties will include weighing organs, taking tissue samples, and reconstructing bodies so they’re ready to be buried. Make sure you study up on identifying diseases in organs if you want that promotion!"

Level 6 - Senior Mortuary Manager - 09:00 until 18:00, Mon/Wed/Fri/Sat/Sun, 105 simoleans p/h

Description: "Finally, proper pay! Unfortunately, it more means managing your coworkers than the corpses. You’re allowed to sign off on the higher level decisions and have more responsibility, but you didn’t get into this role to do people management. Maybe there’s another path you can take…"

Level 7 - Trainee Embalmer - 12:00 until 21:00, M-F, 50 simoleans p/h

Description: "Back to the classroom you go! Sort of. You’ve put in an application to train as an embalmer, and are splitting your time between shadowing one of your senior coworkers and attending night school. It’s long and tiring, with late study hours for not much money, but it’ll pay off in the long run (you hope)."

Level 8 - Qualified Embalmer - 09:00 until 16:00, M-F, 200 simoleans p/h

Description: "The graft has paid off, and you’ve got another diploma under your belt (as well as a bit more cash, thank the Watcher). You’ve transferred back to the hospital mortuary but this time to work as an embalmer, washing and taking care of bodies and taking all the steps to make sure they’re preserved with the right chemicals. It’ll require careful technique with not only the embalming fluid and syringes, but also your empathy; you’ll need to make sure the family, as well as their loved one, are well cared for."

Level 9 - Mobile Embalmer - 18:00 until 03:00, Mon/Tue/Fri/Sat/Sun, 220 simoleans p/h

Description: "For some reason, embalming isn’t a sought after job – which means good news for you! Work is dispatching you all across SimNation to provide your services, from vampire attacks in Bridgeport to meteor strikes in Lunar Lakes. You’re spending more time in hotels than at home, and while you’re raking in the money, maybe it’s time you struck out on your own."

Level 10 - Locum Mortuary Technician - 11:00 until 15:00, Mon/Sat/Sun, 500 simoleans p/h

Description: "You’ve had enough of the corpo grind and chucked it in; you’re freelance, baby! As a fully qualified mortuary technician and embalmer, you pick up agency shifts and choose when and where you want to work, on whatever catches your eye. If someone wants to pay you good money to preserve the corpse of Bigfoot for their collection, now you don’t have to turn them down for something more sensible. After all, if you love your job, you don’t work a day in your life!"

Generation 2: Malachite

You loved your parent and the cozy stay-at-home environment they provided, but you always wanted to explore. You would run around the park and the neighborhood looking for adventure. So -of course- you had to follow that passion as an adult!

Aspiration: Jungle Explorer

Traits: Adventurous, Self-Assured, Active

Skills: Archeology, Fitness, Rock climbing

Career: Part-Time Diver

World: Mt. Komorebi or Tomarang

Rules:

Cannot have a full-time job

Must max 2 skills before settling down to have a family

Have no more than 2 kids

At least one of the kids must be active

Must not die until after grandchild is a child (yes, you may minorly cheat to make this happen)

When an elder, move in with heir and their child

Generation 3: Burlywood

You grew up hearing tales of your parent’s adventures, and as they got older you wanted to commit them to memory. Other people loved the stories, and you soon became a bestselling Adventure author.

Aspiration: Bestselling Author

Traits: Bookworm, Outgoing, Active

Skills: Writing, Selvadoradian Culture, Charisma

Career: Freelancer - Writer Branch

World: Brindleton Bay or Oasis Springs

Rules:

Must finish aspiration before becoming and elder

Charisma is not a mandatory max-out skill, but a preferable one

Can only have 1 child

When their parent is an elder, they must move them in

Generation 4: Fallow

You grew up hearing your grandparent’s stories and reading your parent’s books. After your grandparent passed, you wanted to reconnect with their adventures and the nature they loved so much.

Aspiration: Outdoor Enthusiast

Traits: Loves Outdoors, Cheerful, Vegetarian

Skills: Herbalism, Fishing, Wellness

Career: Conservationist - Environmental Manager Branch

Child must know the grandparent

Generation 5: Verdigris

You grew up going camping all the time. You practically lived in the woods. While your sibling(s) were more active and handy, you preferred to be laid-back. Nothing makes you happier than just sitting back by the water with a fishing pole and a drink in your hand.

Aspiration: Angling Ace

Traits: Bro, Loyal, Goofball

Skills: Fishing, Guitar, Mixology

Career: Part-time Fisherman OR Culinary - Mixology Branch

World: Sulani

Rules:

Mixology does not have to be maxed (but is preferable)

If you choose the mixology branch you DO NOT have to max it out

It must be a small beach-side shack

Generation 6: Zaffre

You’re a laid-back person, taking after your parent. You loved watching the waves as your parent fished in the early hours of the morning. You came to wish you could capture the experiences and memories, so took up painting.

Must complete a University Degree course (you can choose)

Generation 9: Amaranth

You loved all the trinkets that filled your grandparent’s house, and loved collecting your own shinies. So as an adult, you continue your collection and share it with the world.

Generation 10: Feldgrau

You often played with the metals that your parent collected, and that turned into you messing with gear and any mechanical thing you could get your grease-stained hands on.

Traits: Maker, Perfectionist, Snob

Skills: Handiness, Fabrication, Robotics, Juice Fizzing

Career: Freelancer - Crafter branch OR Engineer - Mechanical Engineer branch

World: Oasis Springs

Rules:

Juice Fizzing is not a mandatory max-out skill, but a preferable one

Generation 11: Cattleya

Your parent instilled in you a deep-seated confidence in whatever you do. Unfortunately, you took it a little too far. You think you are the best-of-the-best, and set out to prove it.

Rules:

Start out in the crappy lot in Mirage Park, and then move up to any lot in The Pinnacles before becoming an elder

Your parent was a pompous asshole, who was obsessed with their accomplishments in their youth. As a child, you wondered if you could create a potion for everlasting youth. You moved to Glimmerbrook to find that out, meeting a trio of strange people who promised you an opportunity to become something more. Something… not human.

He tries to commit to just one household

Spends hours perfecting their personalities and outfits and tells himself he's going to play with then until the end :D

He's got some cute ideas for when his sims are elders and have grandkids

Tries to level up their skills and careers and gives them the perfect house he got from the gallery

And then he's on week 4, his sims got married, they've had a baby and he's… bored?

So he creates a new save for a new family who are totally different and he tells himself this is the save to end all saves

Before he knows it, he's 40 save files down and he hasn't a clue what was going on in a single one of them

But he'll definitely go back and play them all, he swears!

Hoho you thought this would be Matthew? No, this man LIVES for the drama I'm telling you

He creates an elaborate storyline for each and every sim he creates

Sometimes he surprises even himself with the plots he creates sometimes

His sims were happily married and living life and then one day he was like "guess what? This one is gonna have an affair with a married sim"

Love affair child incoming?? When he realises he's like "Wait this is perfect this is like a drama"

The type to do challenges like rich to poor or poor to rich because there's so much character development possibilities there

Is he going to make his sims suffer? Yes. Could their lives be a kdrama spanning 12 seasons? Also yes

At this point he could be a streamer, and he'd be pretty successful too because his streams would take the wildest turns

He probably has all the packs (or most of them, minus maybe a couple kits he doesn't care for) and maybe some cc but not much

Probably has a YouTube and/or insta account where he posts screenshots and videos of his builds and they're always out of this world

How does he come up with all of these designs like.. who thought of using platforms like that??

Watches a lot of build hacks by other simmers and always makes sure to mention them if he uses their ideas

Bless Hanbin and his never-ending patience. No offence but nobody else wants to sit there for 3 hours placing debug pebbles to make them look pretty

The premade houses make him shake his head because the exterior deserves so much better!! So he renovates the inside to make it prettier

Will collaborate with Gunwook where Hanbin builds the shell and landscapes and Gunwook does the decorating

There's no type of build he won't try, he wants to always try new styles and techniques, and sometimes goes back to improve his own builds?? Even though they're already stunning

Doesn't care about his own sims, he's just trying to solve mysteries out here

His sims only read all the books that reference sims lore of past and present wishes he could read it too and goes feral if there's a popup with a piece of lore

What really happened to Bella Goth? Did she die? Was she kidnapped by aliens? Did she run off with a secret lover? Is she trapped in an alternate dimension?? Is.. is he Bella Goth?

How exactly did the mother plant come alive? He just has to know.. surely it was created by someone and he's gonna plant bugs on everyone to try and get the inside info me-core

What about Lady Mimsy and Bernard? Was the fire an accident or on purpose? He has at least 73 theories on what happened that night

The type to annoy all his friends by debating sims lore as if it's a real-life unsolved mystery

You better believe he also eats up the werewolf lore, he will collect books and treasures just so he can find out what's up with Greg

How does he even sleep at night? (Spoiler: he doesn't)

Makes himself in nearly every save (sometimes he makes himself buff or have a bigger butt or something but it’s always Tae)

Sometimes he makes his skills match his, and other times he’s like “might make myself a rocket scientist 🤷”

If he has a crush, then he’ll make them as well, taking his time to make their sim perfect

Literally cries if the game says they have anything less than ‘amazing’ compatibility because.. They’re literally made for each other, how could this happen to him??

Makes them ultimate relationship goals because he’s living vicariously through this sims game right now

Will quit and reload his game if something goes wrong, like if they reject his hug or they flirt with someone else. Yes, he’s just that petty

And if things don’t go well with his crush irl then uhhhh breakup?? Or maybe he’d delete the sim and make himself a new crush lmao me-core p.2

Makes his sim adopt about 5 puppies and it will make his day more than any relationship could ever (will talk to them as if they’re real, too)

He's not trying to make his sims' lives a living hell, he really isn't

They have the perfect lives and things are going great, nothing could go wrong.. right?

Next thing he knows, his sim is proposing and they get hit by a meteor or something - time to reload!

His sim goes out on a bachelor party, dancing away and having drinks, all the usual jazz

When his sim hears a joke and dies laughing :D ... what

Or they randomly get bitten by a vampire and burn to a crisp because there's suddenly a heatwave in winter????

Buys a Murphy bed to save some space. His sim is about to go to bed after an exciting day and WHAM! It crushes him to death. On the first night

Honestly the best thing for him right now is to switch his pc off and lay down in bed

Someone flirts with his lover/spouse/crush? Cue a cute ladderless swimming party 🥳

Flirts with married sims and breaks up their relationships because he was bored 💅

Oh? A sim didn't like his joke about llamas? He's gonna build them a lovely little maze for them to run around until they meet grim <3

If he likes them a little, though, he might put them to work in the basement crafting for money. Might.

I’m honestly surprised at how his pc hasn’t set itself on fire by now with all of the cc he’s downloaded

Has to constantly delete his pictures and sometimes other games to make space for his cc obsession

He’s got everything, from hair and eye colour swatches to cushions for his sims’ sofas

If he’s decorating a house or making a sim and it’s not perfect then he’s hunting down the perfect cc to add to his collection

But let’s face it… his games are always perfect. He has the kind of houses and sims that make players like me cry because we could never

Somehow he remembers the names of every piece of cc he uses??? Like someone asks him where he got something from and he’s like “oh yeah it’s (set name) by (creator), I’ll send you the link right now”

The thing that breaks his heart the most is when there’s an update and it breaks his cc because now he has to get rid of it, but most of the time he can just redownload so that mends his little heart

Wants to learn how to make his own cc so he can make new swatches because that shade of yellow is slightly too bright for his sims’ house

Mod fanatic

He used to play the game just as it was, but then he was watching others play and saw them using fun mods

First downloaded a simple mod, like one that adds a few new hobbies for his sims

This honestly changes his life, his games will never be the same ever again

And that's how his mod collection begins, with just one small mod, and then whenever he's feeling spicy, he adds another

He gets bored with stuff like the jobs quite quick because he's tried it all, so he finds mods to give his sims more careers

And then when he's tried all of them, he'll add more (sometimes he's not that keen on a mod and deletes it, but not very often)

His favourite by far, though, is the royalty mod because he can make himself king (as he should) and rule over his peasants

Hanbin catches Yujin making him as a peasant whenever he's upset with him, like he refused to buy him ice cream or something… yeah he just closes the door and leaves him be

Looking for goth friends!

Feel a bit funny putting this out there I won't lie.. but I'd love to make some more goth or alternative friends! As an agoraphobic with pretty bad anxiety and panic, getting out to meet people is near impossible at the moment. If you feel like we'd get along feel free to dm me anytime! Currently in Cali but planning to move to the east coast within a year or two.

My favorite music genres are gothic rock, deathrock, ethereal wave, darkwave, post punk, ebm, black metal, folk metal, dungeon synth, and new wave. + a bunch of random 80s.

My favorite bands of all time are The Birthday Massacre, Switchblade Symphony, SRSQ, The Shroud, Die Laughing, and Sopor Aeternus. I could talk about music for hours...

I love gaming and I spend a lot of time playing Sims 4, Animal Crossing, American McGee's Alice games, Skyrim, Elder Scrolls Online, Vampire the Masquerade, and Stardew Valley.

I love to draw and paint. I used to do a lot of digital painting for clothing on IMVU, but haven't in a while. I mostly draw cartoons and portraits but I experiment a lot too.

Welcome to the Sims 4 Fruity Days Challenge!

Bo Burnham's legacy challenge

(God, wth im writing)

Ehm- yeah...i was looking inspo for another legacy challenge on my spotify when i realized that i basically only hear Argentinan or Uruguayan music...and i'm pretty sure that here not many people known them- So i decided to go for Bo's songs!

And yeah, if you for some reason think about it, it was also inspired by "Perspective of god" ("you're not my children, you're a bad game of sims")

WARNING:

If you heard Bo's songs, you will know that there are some "spicy" or not kid friendly topics, so, if you're under 18 or sensitive, you may not read this one.

General rules:

Heirs don't have to ressemble their song with their name, but you can do it if you want

Looking to make your Sims 4 gameplay experience more inclusive and accessible for players with neurodivergent conditions? Look no further than the Neurodiverse mod for Sims 4! With the Neurodiverse mod, you can customize your Sims 4 gameplay to suit the needs of players with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other neurodivergent conditions.

Now we all have had SO MANY Autism mods made, and everyone makes them CAS Personality traits. A lot of people, including myself, have felt this does not represent the spectrum as well as it should, mainly because WE aren't a personality trait and you shouldn't sacrifice a personality slot for your sim to have neurodiversity.

So what makes this mod different? Well, All the traits are gameplay!

Why? Because being on the spectrum, It affects your day-to-day life,

NOT who you are!

Features

NEW Infant trait - Curious! Have neurodiverse-born infants and have them grow up with either an early or late diagnosis depending on your gameplay/story!

You can either have the parent take them to a specialist when they age to a toddler, or wait until they are Teen-Elder to call the specialist yourself for a late diagnosis!

obtain one or more of 8 different neurodiversity traits that affect the gameplay of your sims!

Research Neurodiversity on the Computer and create adult sims who get diagnosed late without having to fully create Infants and go through the entire process.

The Mod includes:

ASD Lvl 1, 2 and 3: Each ASD level includes changes to your sim's autonomous emotions, increases to certain mood durations, bonuses and limitations to select skills, and adjustments to how they respond to burnout. ASD Lvl 2 & 3 now include sensitive hearing to TV and Loud Radio!

Dyslexia: Sims with Dyslexia will have difficulty with reading books and Writing.

Dyscalculia: Sims with Dyscalculia will have difficulty with Logic, Robotics, Programming, Toddler-Thinking and Child-Mental Skills!

Dysgraphia: Sims with Dysgraphia will have difficulty with their writing skill.

ADHD: Sims with ADHD will affect your sim's autonomous emotions, they will have difficulty shaking off bored, angry and sad buffs and even get brain fog from Mental or Creative tasks!. However, Sims with ADHD will have an increase in creative-skill gain and a slow skill gain when attempting to increase the Parent-Skill.

Fragile X Syndrome: Sims with Fragile X Syndrome will have slow skill gain on Social, Mental, and Logic. They will frequently obtain Focused or Inspired moods and have an increase in programming and creative skills!

Credit to Casiayume for helping me with the ADHD Tuning and doing the Late Diagnosis tuning when my brain became mush at 3AM.

ALL Traits will have a slower rate at doing schoolwork, which may affect their overall progress in school.

ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, and Dysgraphia all have a chance to appear alongside ASD or Fragile X Syndrome. ASD, Fragile X Syndrome, and Dysgraphia all depend on the Sim's milestones!

(Use Lumpinou’s Milestone cheats to add them)

(If you want your adult sims to have one of these traits, I HIGHLY recommend using Lumpinou’s Milestone cheats to add infant milestones! Just beware, each one requires a different combination of the milestones to be obtained.)

ADHD also can appear solely alone as some ADHD adults do not have the other neurodiverse traits and solely have ADHD.

♡ post a lookbook here and there! maybe with a simself and more sims based on anime characters (Mikasa Ackerman, Tohru Honda, Misa Amane) ♡ get to at least generation three in the Alegría legacy! that'd be the furthest i would have ever gotten in a legacy challenge lol. on my old simblr, i technically got to gen 3 in the bridges legacy, but i never really got to play with the gen 3 heir. gen 3 in the joy of life challenge is about turning into a vampire, but i'm not really a fan of occults in the sims 4, so i'll just have a cool goth kid be the heir for that gen ♡ try out a zombie challenge! i still need to find a set of rules to follow, but i found a mod that i reallllyy want to play with. i tried the zombie aftermath challenge in the sims 3 and i loved it so much, i wish i got to make it further than gen 1

♡ take more pictures of my cute outfits cuz i look so cute but i need to learn how to pose ♡ find a hairstyle that suits me?????? i'm struggling so much ong, i need to redye it back to a gingery color too. the color faded out lol ♡ read at least 40 books (that's my goal on goodreads but ik a lot of that is gonna be mangas) ♡ discover more mussssiiiiiccccc, i love it so much ♡ keep in touch with my friends! ♡ start working out again!!!! over the summer, i played just dance as part of my routine and it was so much fun. i was gaining some muscle haha ♡ make $$$$$$$$$$ and continue to be mindful of microtrends. i think it's okay to be trendy, but i use them as a way to find new things i like! i still have and wear so many things from years and years ago

When I was a kid I mainly played 2 games; Wizard101 and The Sims 4. So let’s mix the two!

Each generation is inspired by the seven schools from Wizard101. Unfortunately this will not be Base-Game Compatible but all pack requirements are listed next to their respective generation.

I'm not a writer so please excuse the quality of my writing <3

BASIC RULES:

Have fun! If there’s a rule that’s holding you back from having fun with your game, pretend it’s not there! (This is meant to expand your gameplay, NOT limit you.)

Match your sims wardrobe to the colours listed under each generation

Add any extra lore you’d like to. The more the merrier :D

The challenge is completed once every Generation 7 goal has been completed.

GENERATION 1: FIRE requires Lovestruck, Cats & Dogs

As soon as they passed you moved out on your own into an apartment, adopted a cat and tried to get your life on track. You did some odd-jobs here and there to make ends meet as you could only handle having a part-time job. You visited your Parents’ graves in Forgotten Hollow and discovered the existence of vampires. This discovery seemed to give you a purpose in life, a way to potentially cheat death unlike your parents.

Retexture dump time~ I've been retexturing so long(2021 to be exact) and since there are hairs that I wish to share here, alongside newer retextures I've done recently, here it is.
