Retexture dump time~ I've been retexturing so long(2021 to be exact) and since there are hairs that I wish to share here, alongside newer retextures I've done recently, here it is. While I mainly use Google Drive to store my CCs, I manage to regain access to my SFS, which has gathered dust for long.

I actually started making this project for myself, but last week I have an urge to make a retexture of EVERY hair by @mayu-sims with @ifcasims textures, so here it is. I make this by swapping textures of already existing retextures by @ifcasims and @melsts3cc, so credits goes to them. In some cases instead of original Mayu hairs I used low-poly meshes by @agnelid, in there also included female and younger ages versions (except Cazy Helena and Alesso Firenze, that was already made by @melsts3cc).

All hairs are disallowed for random, compressed and have custom thumbnails.

Because of the big size (600+ mb), retextures are splitted to 5 archives: pt.1 consist Agnelid retextures, that have versions for both genders and children/toddlers, pt.2 have retextures of meshes by Ade, Anto/Alesso/Coolsims, Butterflysims and Cazy, Pt.3 have retextures of Newsea, Simpliciaty and miscellaneous creators, last two archives dedicated to Nightcrawler and LeahLillith hairs exclusively.

Edited mesh files for Butterflysims F Hair 060 and its M version (the meshes are numbered 061 but everything else says 060 so 060 it is). They're compatible with existing recolors (which you can find at the database), polycounts stay around 13.2k.

If you're wondering why I didn't give a third download option with combined F&M meshes like I've been doing with previous hairs, it's because in this case it would be kind of pointless. With my own FtM conversions, I put CF & CM on the same mesh and PF & PM on the same mesh, so it makes sense to offer a combined mesh option where the child and toddler meshes are only included once. But Butterflysims made 2 different meshes for PF & PF and 2 different meshes for CF-CM (effectively duplicate meshes with different GUIDs), and there's no getting around including all of them to ensure full compatibility with existing recolors.

ButterflySims' 175 4t2 Hairstyle

Learned new things with this one, now I can properly smooth -hair- meshes 🤓 (aka convert tris to quads, subdivision surface modifier [work layer by layer] then deleting and moving edges :PP) as this mesh had the crunchy syndrome by default 🥲

What are your favourite hairs for kids?

This has been sitting in my inbox for a while. Sorry about that! I don't really have a favorite hair for boys, I just use whatever fits their face :) I do have some girl favs, so here they are. Fair warning: hair is my cc weakness and I consider everything up to 20k polycounts fair game. But I am willing to go above 20k for hair I really like. volatile collection in afterglow 🦋

inspired in the most amazing machinima *again* of all time, volatile by ekolarasmagnum/eko <3 today i bing-watched the WHOLE show with my bestie and i thought mmmm, whynot recoloring the hairs in afterglow jdffdk

the set consist in 12 hairs, 6 for males and 6 for girls. as the diario collection, every hair contains the character name with it. i used these hairs bc u can see them in the first opening and some characters really used it in the show

Eight hairs in the Clouds system

Made some hairs in Osab's hair system a few days ago, just forgot to post them. Forgot to put it in the picture, but Hexanticle did the male conversion for Skysims 194. Also, for the 3t2 Beanie, rented-space's mesh fix comes included. The credits may or may not be updated depending on if I forgot something. I need to stop putting two sims in one picture, it becomes difficult to fit the text in...

Sims 2: Afterglow Hair Retextures

More hair retextures? More hair retextures. Feat. the Butterflysims one whose mesh edit I reblogged earlier. Also, for Gibson Girl, the bun texture is Remi blended with I think a Pooklet retexture since the Pooklet on its own was too harsh and shiny. Chanel Dutch Braid also uses the original EA textures.

A few of them have a couple random unnaturals tossed in, the swatch is included with each hair. (Chanel Dutch Braid has Powder Cake and the Peggy hair has Detonator, Hazardous, and Time Bomb)
