I’ve been trying to figure out how Team 7 is considered “well-balanced” because it’s pretty well known that

- Sakura and Sasuke (the two with the highest grades in their class) balance out Naruto’s lack of book smarts and help him learn along the way

- Sasuke and Naruto (the two strongest of their class) balance out Sakura’s lack of taijutsu skills and maybe help her develop them

But nobody ever talks about how they balance Sasuke out. Then I realized

- Naruto and Sakura (arguably the loudest and most extroverted pair in their class) balance out Sasuke’s hardcore introverted nature and maybe pull him out of the darkness

At least that’s what makes sense in my mind. All the teams were chosen to balance each other out and I don’t think they could be as easily changed as people seem to believe.

Sakumo being a super popular borderline sex symbol in his era will never stop being my favorite hc, I need to see more of it

All the people his age and younger had a crush on him. It was just a Thing(tm) where 9 times out of 10, a Konoha shinobi's first crush was probably Sakumo. Even other villages young shinobi hung up his bingo book picture above their bunk and dreamed of both killing him, being killed by him (in a hot way), having a battlefield fling with him, and more. There was blackmarket fanfiction. He was incredibly popular among civilians all over fire country. Some popular romance novels had love interests very blatantly based off him.

Even before they were on a team together, Obito and Rin both had a silly kid crush on Kakashi's dad (Obito more than Rin) and he was aware of it. This did not help make him like them any more. (By the time hearing smthn positive ab his dad would have made Kakashi softer, they'd both gotten better at hiding the crush, so to Kakashi it looked like they'd gotten over Sakumo.) Even Minato had a bit of a thing for him, not really but like— strong, popular, feard and very friendly ninja who is now paying him some attention (bc hes his kids teacher) he's not immune. Kushina understands, she is also not immune. (Kakashi is going to throw a fucking fit)

Even after his failed mission, when his reputation crashes and burns within the village, he still can't completely shake his admirers— they possibly just get more disrespectful ab the attraction when it mixes with the hate. (Which tbh could make for an interesting discussion all on its own)

Kakashi is haunted by his father's insane popularity for decades after his death. He does his very best to ignore the lingering evidence of people being insane ab his father.

One day he realizes one of his favorite romance novels has a romance interest based off Sakumo and has a break down ab it and can never read the series again.

When raiding an old abandoned enemy camp w Team Ro, he finds an old, autographed photo of his dad covered in lipstick marks in the communal bathroom. He chooses to ignore it but it's quickly spotted by his teammates, who do not know who Sakumk is, and v quickly begin to remark on the poster, who this mysterious Konoha nin is, and ahaha damn he is kinda good looking, huh? (Kakashi wants to DIE)

Shisui ends up taking the poster back to Konoha with them and hangs it up in the ANBU communal quarters where it is VERY quickly recognized. And also some of the people in that room recognize it so quick bc they also used to own a similar poster. (Kakashi wants to DIE someone PLEASE kill him now)

Its only when he's given team 7 that he finally thinks he's escaped the legacy of his father as Konoha's Most Sexiest Shinobi. Only for Naruto, when being trained by Jiriyah, to find his drafts for Icha Icha very clearly inspired by his dad. Which he can never publish for multiple reasons (lingering respect for Sakumo. Also for Kakashi, who is his biggest fan and would probably never look at him again.)

Naruto somehow accidentally brings this up with Kakashi who like. Has war flashbacks and immediatley stands up and walks away as Jiryah scrambles to try to explain himself and Tsunade looks on in scorn (she will approach him later to carefully ask for the drafts while trying to seem like she's not really asking for them bc she's too proud to admit it)

Naruto and Sakura discover Kakashi-sensei's dad was a sex symbol. I don't even know how they'd react but like. Oh my god. Oh my god you guys.

Funniest option would be they accidentally revive his popularity a little bit by being so loud ab it they like, remind people ab him. + introduce another generation to the idea of him

Kakashi is crouched on the floor with his face in his hands. When will he be freed from this hell.

Sasuke does not escape tho, he goes to sound and finds a picture of Sensei's dad in Orochimaru's office (???????)

Itachi, who learned who Sakumo was from that poster thing, goes on to find a photo of him in ""Madara's"" belongings and gets super weirded out but ultimately doesn't. Super care. But also. Like. What. What.

After Itachi finds the photo, which Obito genuinley forgot he fucking had and keeps in part just bc its like one of the only belongings that remained from his Konoha days, he shoves it somewhere in Kamui to forget about.

But then in the Obito vs Kakashi Kamui fight, it fucking flutters down in the middle of the fight and Obito fucking dies of humiliation as Kakashi realizes he will truly Never Escape and that this reality is his own personal hell

Uhh endgame Kakashi becomes Hokage and accidentally retreads his father's path in becoming the new Konoha Sexy Man. Which simultaneously crushes him (he will never escape) and fills him with delight (he will now be able to impart the pain of having your father figure be lusted after by all ur friends and acquaintances onto his students)

Okay, sorry if this was asked before but I'm curious and I'd really like to learn more. You've mentioned in a couple of posts now that Itachi wasn't retconned. Could you please elaborate further?

Hey! No, this wasn't asked before. I was thinking of making a separate post for this, but procrastination is evil. So, I am one of the 'Itachi was meant to be a good guy/was not evil/had more to him than he let on' people. Watching the anime, it was the feeling that there was more to him. His reveal was along the lines of devastation and shocking for me than surprise. Detailed post is below the cut.

First thing first.

This was Itachi's first look that Kishimoto had planned.

Itachi was originally conceived as the leader of Konoha's Special Assassination and Tactical Squad called the "Anbu", dubbed the Itachi Squad (イタチ隊, Itachi-tai), which would have been a 70-man group divided into four teams, specializing in assassination and other illicit operations. However, this idea was scrapped in favour of the current Itachi working for the Akatsuki.

The above paragraph is from Itachi's wikipedia that cites a couple of interviews as sources. People can't be too blind in their delusion to think the author who wrote the story had no idea what he was writing.

Next is the Naruto Databook that has some fishy things if we look closely. In the first glance it's not very obvious, but after learning the truth it seems very much obvious.

It says, "the ones who know the reason of its downfall are very small". Go back to Obito's words about only four people being aware of the reason of the clan's downfall.

Additionally, Itachi carried out 134 B-Rank missions. Zero A Rank. And one S-Rank. The S rank mission being the Uchiha massacre. It's very fishy that he was given one s rank mission without any A tank mission. Suspicious? We know later on why.

It's also interesting because the first databook was published in 2002 and Itachi first appeared in 2003. If his twist wasn't planned from the beginning this databook is very telling.

Since I mentioned how he looked, here's him in Sasuke's flashbacks for the first time.

He looks far from evil or sadistic. You want to know who enjoys killing for fun? Hidan. Itachi, on the other hand, on the day of the massacre itself, looks miserable and lost.

In chapter 7, he in a haze-like manner he talks about crying. In many English translations it's translated as 'he made me cry' and in many it's this. It's very, very vague, but his statement is complimented by Sakura's question, to which he still responds in the similar way 'My..' Maybe he was trying to say 'My brother', but he instead finishes his speech with 'my goal is to take revenge' etc., Since it's still very early so it might not be the strongest evidence, but a few chapters later in chapter 27, during their fight against Haku, when Sasuke awakens his Sharingan, he has two tomoe in his right eye.

Yes, he might have awakened it this way, but it also suggests that maybe already had his Sharingan and that's why this is 'asymmetrical' awakening? In the later chapters we find out he actually did have his Sharingan he awakened after the massacre.

This flashbacks in chapter 127 most firmly establishes Itachi's twist. The tilted head-protector. Sasuke remembers it vaguely, but he has no recollection of Itachi crying that night, because his mind is still hazy from the "truth" Itachi wanted him to believe. We know later on the significance of this scene.

There are three moments before Itachi was even introduced that give away what we see right after his truth reveal and connect to the chapter 403.

The 'Itachi was retconned' camp also uses 'Itachi was meant to be older (than 13) but Kishi made him younger later on' as an excuse to justify their retcon bullshit.

Kakashi, in chapter 142, states Itachi was 13 when he was made the Anbu captain.

Itachi graduated when he was just seven. Sasuke is the same age as Itachi was when he graduated from the Academy. Itachi is 17 at the time of his first appearance and Sasuke is 12. It is enough to tell lies were spread about Itachi. We, obviously, learn later on why.

Some more obvious hints were his interaction with Asuma, Kurenai, and Kakashi.

The criminal infamous for annihilating one of the strongest clans refuses to indulge in fight?

He also asks Kisame to keep things low key and not get too much attention. That's an excuse. He's not here to wage war. Yes, later on he does ask Kisame to go ahead. But that's because he's a spy. He cannot let Danzo know he dropped his guard. One single mistake from his side that could unearth the truth of the massacre and Danzo would lay hands on Sasuke. Plus, while he's strong, his opponents aren't just fragile saplings who couldn't stand any blow he or Kisame cast. He knew reinforcements would be on the way.

Kakashi also wonders why Itachi didn't just kill him. Again, yes, the torture was brutal, but they're ninja who are meant to do and endure cruel things. Itachi had to look like he was a menacing criminal reputed to have killed the Uchiha singlehandedly.

So, he completely avoids fighting Asuma and Kuernai, takes on only Kakashi because he's strong and can take it, also has Sharingan. But he completely refuses to go against Jiraiya. Jiraiya may or may not be stronger than him. Maybe they were equal. However, recalling Obito's words again: Itachi devoted himself to fighting Sasuke to death.

Two conclusions come from this:

He didn't want to fight Jiraiya because it would result in a massive bloodbath and killing a leaf Shinobi is out of question for him. He's not a coward. He just doesn't want to fight him.

As we know from later on, he wanted to fight and die at Sasuke's hands only. Killing a Konoha Shinobi or dying at the hands of someone that isn't Sasuke isn't a part of his plan.

This can also be tracked further when Kisame captures the Four Tails.

Kisame most likely knew about Itachi's illness, knew Itachi wanted to die at Sasuke's hands. The reason Itachi didn't fight Jiraiya and Rōshi was most likely the same.

Kisame comments on Itachi's 'lingering affection' towards the village. The Akatsuki pairings' dynamics are quite opposite. Deidara and Sasori love art but have differing opinions on eternal vs explosive. Hidan and Kakuzu represent religion vs materialism (money). And Itachi and Kisame represent treachery vs loyalty. Itachi isn't loyal to Akatsuki, Kisame is.

They also wonder why is Itachi taking the matter of kidnapping Naruto so lightly. He could have done it very easily. We know now that that wasn't his intent and his objective to visit the village was something else.

As popular as 'Itachi knocked on the door before kidnapping Naruto' meme is, the truth is, he wasn't there to kidnap him at all. Replace Itachi with Kisame alone for a moment. Knock on the door? No, sir. Naruto would be half-dead. Or replace him with Hidan and Kakuzu. They're sadistic bastards and would have damaged Naruto in the worst possible way.

Furthermore, when you think of it, he revealed 'Akatsuki are after jinchuriki' years prior to the Akatsuki even began collecting the tailed beasts. It was a message he left because it was important. His job in the Akatsuki wasn't to "pass on the info to the village." It was to keep tabs on them so they don't attack Konoha.

After the massacre, Sasuke's unwavering faith in Itachi despite being put in Tsukuyomi. At first it doesn't seem too much, but we later discover that Itachi used to be a kind and gentle boy. So this bit isn't just Sasuke is blind, but also that Itachi was a kind child before the tragedy happened.

Sasuke's flashbacks in chapter 220 also hint towards Itachi being trapped in the politics of the village/clan. Fugaku is speaking to his own son but the discussion is so intense that he has to activate his Sharingan to convey the message to Itachi.

These are the flashbacks from the chapter #221 that further shed light on Itachi being a spy.

He's the "pipeline between the clan and the village" - a spy. Later Obito says Itachi was callously used for his devotion towards the village, this is an example of his clan doing this to him.

This is Itachi right after being accused of Shisui's murder. He looks in grief, while also processing the news. Once the narrative delves deep into Itachi's story (through Sasuke's eyes) in VOTE1, he continues to look miserable, lost, in pain, and in dire need of help. And once we begin to see more of him before his death, he is quite human. But again, Kishimoto had his whole story figured out by that time, knew what he was to do with Itachi's arc and Sasuke's future there.

In the chapter 224 (during the battle between Sasuke and Naruto), the flashback goes to this moment: Itachi tells Sasuke that he'd be one of the three people to awaken Mangekyo.

This connects to the chapter 385 when Sasuke vs Itachi happens. Sasuke asks him about the third person who had the MS.

Kishimoto isn't a terrible writer because some people choose to ignore what's written right there or cannot accept happened. Usually the deniers of this are those who question his morality. His morality is never the subject of the debate because Itachi isn't exonerated for his crimes. He's a part of a world that's cruel and violent and his actions align with it very much. The ones who "praise" him have their own bias, and that gives him nothing in return. Characters in fiction always, I mean, always respond to the information based on their morality. When Hashirama praises Itachi, it's because he grew up in the warring era and lost all his family. He learns there's this kid who chose a path with the least damage but at the cost of his life, he's a good Shinobi. Hiruzen also has his bias as well as his guilt. Naruto's praise for Itachi is not only because of stopping a war, but also for loving Sasuke. No one other than Sasuke sees him as a person whether anyone likes him or hates him. He's praised by other Shinobi for doing things that are expected from a Shinobi.

Either way, at the end of the day, Itachi himself doesn't see himself who is worth forgiving, worth loving, worth being remembered. That's his whole arc.

Now let me preference this by saying I HATE when a characters parents or loved ones are turned into abusers just because. This, for me, includes Kizashi and Mebuki Haruno, Sakura's parents. I have said on here before that I have a preference how I wish they were brought into the story more as actual stable adult figures for team 7.

But I do think there is a potential story to be told in Naruto about assumptions vs. reality and how someone can be in pain even if it doesn't look like your's using Sakura and her parents. In general, we know very little about Sakura's parents, Kishimoto said he could never figure out how to include them, and official designs weren't released until the Road to Ninja movie. In the movie they kinda lightly touched on this idea but then people lost their shit because God forbid Sakura vents to a close friend about being doubted just because the people doubting her are her parents and Naruto, despite being one of the most empathetic characters in the series, just so happens not to have those so she should automatically being walking on eggshells around the topic. But back to the idea.

Now I probably wouldn't make her parents physically abusive but more along the lines that they are extremely nelgectful of her. Or take on the idea that Tiny_Dncr had in the fanfic Her Experience where something happened and Sakura HAD to become the adult too young but due to her young biological age , it's not reconized as that.

I would probably set this, or at least start around the genin era. Specifically after Sasuke yells at her about how she has no idea about loneliness because in his, and probably Naruto's eyes too, among all those orphans on team 7 Sakura has the perfect life. Then I would pull it back into Sakura's pov for us to slowly discover that hey, something isn't quite right with her home situation. Her basic physical needs are being met, but no one is ever home, Sakura's parents ignore her or never talk to her to critique her. Sakura could come and go as she pleased, and her parents would never notice unless she did something wrong in their eyes.

Sakura also sees this behavior as normal because it's all she's ever known. Or if she starts to feel bad about her situation, she talks herself out of it because, hey, at least she has parents it could be worse.

Kakashi once in a while catches some hints Sakura's home life is not ok but he's so preoccupied by Sasuke and Naruto, who are more similar to him and their signs he can easily more recognize, kinda brushes it off. The longer team 7 is a team, the more cracks that start to show.

Then let's say Sakura got hospitalized from a mission for a few days. Word was sent to her parents that hey, your daughter is in the hospital, but neither of them show up. Team 7 has been to visit and they notice that besides them she's been alone. Naruto and Sasuke think hey this is weird. Kakashi is on high alert now.

During one of team 7's visits, Sakura's neglect comes out when a doctor asks her point blank where her parents are because to discharge her, they need to release her into the care of an adult. This is when Sakura reveals that her parents had left for a business trip that morning. There is no adult coming. Several minds come to the realization that she's been in the hospital for days and her parents never cared enough to even make sure she was still breathing. The worst part about it is that she said it so nonchalantly, like it was just a fact of life.

This causes a double take because Sakura that isn't right, but again this is all Sakura's ever known so she thought it was normal.

Would probably go on with Sakura, eventually coming to the realization that what her parents did was not ok and her feeling hurt over it is valid. Would also have team 7 bonding and learning from one another.

Uchiha Sasuke

Your Bijuu would show its power for the first time during an intense fight. Sasuke wouldn’t know anything about it unless the information had been leaked, similar to Naruto. Using the immense power from within you, you’d defend your team on the mission and push back the enemies before collapsing. Sasuke would catch you without thinking and make sure you made it back to base safely.

As you were sleeping, Sasuke would watch over you to make sure nothing bad happened. After all, Naruto is the same as you and has been targeted by so many different people because of it. He would never let the same happen to you, especially since you were his crush because you understood the pain of being alone. No one stuck out their neck to help you, people whispered and gossiped about you behind your back… Sasuke just feels irrationally (in his mind) towards you. You and Team 7 have given him a found family that he wouldn’t have otherwise, so subconsciously he wants to protect that with his life.

Uzumaki Naruto

I think if Naruto as a genin met someone who was a jinchuriki that was his age, that was ALSO not trying to kill him, he would be fascinated. Especially if it was his crush. He knew that you two had shared life experiences; it was what you originally bonded over and, not to mention, your determination in the face of hardship is what caused him to crush on you in the first place. The way he found out would most likely be from your power awakening in response to his Kyuubi chakra. If this would hurt you, I think he would feel pretty bad even though he obviously didn’t know.

Perhaps you two could have chats about how rude your bijuu are… Or maybe even train together! Naruto would be elated to even just chat with someone who knows intimately what he’s got going on. There are only eight other people on the planet who know. He’d definitely ask you all sorts of questions about your tailed beast and start ranting about how rude and dumb the Kyuubi is. You two would lean on each other more than ever, and it would bring you two really close.

Rock Lee

Rock Lee wouldn’t know what had happened at first. One second you two were sparring, and the next you were clutching your stomach in pain. He’d immediately seek out Guy-sensei and Kakashi, the latter getting your seal repaired from whatever damage it sustained. By your side in an instant, Rock Lee would ask what just happened, and he would get an explanation from his teacher.

The thing is, I think Rock Lee would feel bad for you, but would keep a brave face. It’s what he’s done throughout your friendship, guarding you from people harassing you on the street or making sure you’re not upset due to what people say and what your life is like. As an eternal motivator, he would hold your hand and speak to you, sitting beside you on the dirt. “You’ve never let anything keep you down, I’ll be here to make sure this doesn’t either!” What a pure soul. Protect him.

Hyuga Neji

Even without first hand experience (i.e. before the chunin exams), Neji knows what a jinchuriki is. And at first, he’s scared when he sees its chakra in your system for the first time with the Byakugan. Since his birth, he’s been instructed to stay at a distance from Naruto. What would make you any different? Would you be any less dangerous to be around? He would think back to all of the time you guys had spent together with his team and alone. It was here he realized that it doesn’t change anything. Having a bijuu sealed inside of you is an unfortunate situation, but it does make you destined for incredible strength. It doesn’t change the person you are. The one that he’s been secretly admiring.

Neji is the type to not even bring it up. He would have his little character arc and you two would continue on like it was no big deal, no one even recognizing he was struggling with something for a few days. He spends noticeably more time around you, though, especially in town so that people avoid approaching you or doing anything to bother you. The tailed beast and your experiences as its jinchuriki make you incredibly strong, and his crush doesn’t deserve to be ridiculed because of the great power they wield.

Haruno Sakura

She would see the seal on you and force you to admit that you have the same type of beast as Naruto within you. Her gut reaction would be fear, but I think that would be completely overridden by admiration. For what you’ve pushed through to get to where you are. For the pain you’ve overcome as a part of your life. She knows exactly what Naruto has gone through due to being a jinchuriki, and knowing you must have gone through all of that too to end up with a tailed beast at such a young age breaks her heart. But you kept getting back up and fighting, something she’s eternally grateful for.

She would be right there to cheer you up whenever someone made fun of you or anything. Behind your back, they would get a beatdown. Either verbally or physically, whatever Sakura thinks she can manage against them. She would tell Naruto as well and try to get you guys to train together or hang out, if only for Naruto’s and Team 7’s benefit.

My belated anime journey (Part 1)

So, it's been two years 😅I wasn't into anime growing up (except for a short Sailor Moon obsession), but in my late 20s Naruto happened to me (or rather Obito and Kakashi captured my heart and soul). So now i'm wandering around this extremely diverse and multifaceted 2D universe trying to educate myself and see what's out there (and there's SO MUCH out there i get stressed out sometimes 😅).

Anyway, i just felt like making a list of short anime I've watched for the sake of sharing, defining patterns, and mb getting some recommendations based on my watch history from you ;>

Kids on the Slope (Sakamichi no Aporon)

I'm not an expert on jazz but i do have one favorite jazz playlist 😌This story revolves around three high schoolers each facing their own challenges but united by music this way or the other. Also they form a messy unresolved love geometry (heeey team Minato, my babies), but friendship prevails! (now i'm thinking that this trio is too Obito-Kakashi-Rin coded 😅).

2. Mushishi

This one has a very special place in my heart. Ginko is a very admirable character - selfless, devoted to his calling, mentally stable, and compassionate. He's my role model, basically xD What i also immensely appreciate is that i never know how the story is going to unravel! Accustomed to western storytelling patterns, my brain is genuinely curious. The stories can be hopeful or tragic, you never know, all i can do is wish for the children characters to survive till the end of an episode. Few words, slow pace, beautiful scenery, and lots lots of compassion 💛

3. SPY×FAMILY

This show is pure joy to watch! A spy, an assassin, a child who can read minds, and a doggo who can foresee danger: the Forgers! I love the cool, badass fights, sweet awkwardness between Yor and Loid, and most of all the comedy prompted by Anya! (also TwiYor is one of my veeeery few het ships i root for xD)

4. Buddy Daddies

Two hitmen-partners happen to adopt a little girl who calls them Kazuki Papa and Rei Papa. Similar dynamics to Spy Family but instead of the warring states they face mafia organizations. And surprisingly, i was absolutely fine with the two dudes being just friends - they were wholesome enough like that, and it's a new facet of displaying family dynamics with no romance involved :3

5. The Apothecary Diaries (Kusuriya no Hitorigoto)

Maomao is one of my forever favorite characters! This girl has a passion, so what if it happens to be poisons xD She is incredibly smart, realistic, rational, and too wise for her young age. She knows how the cruel world around her functions and adapts (her attitude to being kidnapped and sold to work in a palace is pure inspiration "oh well, let's see what i can do"). Every episode is a cool mystery that all come together by the end of the season. The colors, chibi stylized scenes, and good humor make the HEAVY topics digestible and not as horrifying. (also i'd prefer if Jinshi treated her like a little sister rather than a potential love interest - come on! she's like a 14 yo baby!)

6. School Babysitters (Gakuen Bebīshittāzu)

Apparently i love the "cute anime babies" genre xD These kids are so sweet, and funny, and adorable ^^ Every ep is just a dose of kindness, love, and fun! Some high schoolers and a very lazy adult work at the school's daycare where shenanigans and silliness happen every minute 😁(when i get anxious over smth i read a chapter of the manga and instantly feel better).

7. GTO (Great Teacher Onizuka)

I'm so glad i listened to Mai and watched GTO 😂🙏 It's HILARIOUS! I miss that fool, that dumbass, that sweet, heart-of-gold idiot! A former (very young) gang leader wants to be a school teacher and ends up being a guardian angel to many neglected kids. The 90s Japan was not an ideal place (especially for girls), and it's all there in the show, but Onizuka's heart is in the right place and all he does is to help his students. And have fun. And earn some cash 😅 btw Eikichi x Azusa is another het ship i love and root for :D

8. Wotakoi: Love Is Hard for Otaku (Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii)

i'm veeeery fond of their og naruto dynamic, i think it often goes misunderstood/understated but to me it's one of the highlights to the original series! from stuff like kakashi shielding him from orochimaru and sealing his curse mark (which. btw. crazy. LOVE that scene) to the ENTIRE deal with chidori and the pride kakashi felt watching sasuke fight gaara with it... i think it's SURPRISINGLY well done! while i due to personal preference like to read it as specifically familial, i think you can read it anyway you want (not all mentor-type dynamics need to be familial in nature and not being so won't make it any less meaningful)

i don't think kakashi was a particularly great teacher (in fact i think tenzo is shown to be a MUCH better captain/mentor the moment he's introduced to team 7 lol) but you can certainly tell that he cares about all of the kids and wants to do right by them, it's just that with sasuke specifically to me it feels like it's of highly personal significance to him?

and it's not hard to see why, obviously kakashi and sasuke do not have the same trauma but i find it reductive to say that it means kakashi can't see himself in him at all, or that he can't be of any use to sasuke? one of my favorite scenes is the (... i think mildly controversial, from what i've seen?) one where he talks to sasuke on that tree and tells him to drop his revenge quest, because while yeah it was not a perfect effort, to me it's clear that 1. kakashi was being very genuine in his words and 2. that it like... almost worked? sasuke was very sincerely pondering his words before the sound 4 came along.

btw so funny that both kakashi and obito tie him up when talking to him. anyway

so you add that with the weird relationship kakashi has with the entire uchiha clan, starting with obito (the very reason kakashi is able to teach sasuke in any meaningful way at all), going through itachi if you treat team ro as canon WHICH I DO, I LOVE TEAM RO, and ending with sasuke, who is someone kakashi can still try to give a normal life to? yeah i can see why he might feel personally responsible for him!

sasuke's side is less in your face but like... sasuke sought kakashi out to help train him and very much echoes kakashi's words about not abandoning your comrades. he is also often the first one to understand where kakashi is going with something, him and kakashi have similar ways of going through life even if kakashi has majorly mellowed out with age.

there's also little things like how sasuke just had no qualms about walking into kakashi's house unannounced (after itachi beat his ass ty itachi looove u itachi), even before that, how when kakashi calls sasuke over while itachi+kisame are having tea, sasuke just kind of announces that he HATES sweets (so cute), as if he made the assumption kakashi either bought it for him or was thinking about it? like.

look at his baby face.

despite whatever route it ended up taking To Me it's very clear that they did have a special bond and that it was a VERY important part of sasuke's everything pre-shippuden, he was clearly comfortable around kakashi despite his standoffish attitude. it was not perfect and kakashi does hold blame for a lot of things (in general he has a very hands-off teaching style that doesn't work great with these kids), but that's like. part of why i like it you know! it's a little complicated but not through any ill will. it's just that they are both full of Issues lmao

it makes me ssoooooo saaaaad that they BARELY speak to each other at all in shippuden because like. that was one of THE dynamics in the original team 7 you know? and idk if it comes as a surprise but i'm not even OPPOSED to sasuke wanting to kill kakashi by the time they meet again? in fact i think it could be kind of awesome. because like he could have a lot of reasons to be angry with him, up to and including the mere fact that kakashi took SO LONG to even meet him again?

(remember when team 7 finally meets sasuke again w/ tenzo and sai, and he himself mentions kakashi? it's one of those things you can choose to dismiss as meaningless dialogue but i often do think about it lol)

but instead we have sasuke in the peak of his borderline-demonization by the writing, which just leads to there not being much of an interesting dialogue at all. i'm not opposed to kakashi's sharingan being something that sasuke comes to resent either — it could be very fun character writing as that is the very thing that encouraged them to bond in the first place —, but i don't like the way it was done and i ESPECIALLY hate how it was immediately dropped like BROTHER MY PLOT THREADS... THEY'RE FALLING APART...

i could go on about a thousand different other things, such as.

sorry to mention jiraiya but. the rasengan vs chidori thing is VERY telling; jiraiya is naruto's mentor, and kakashi is sasuke's, this is reflected best when the kids each use their respective Overkill Jutsu at each other and the adults each take responsibility for their own kid

again, i'm unsure if it's fully intentional but there is this opposition of orochimaru vs kakashi other than the obvious confrontational scene they have. the very fact that kakashi is the one to put a limit to orochimaru's literal influence on sasuke through the curse mark is a very interesting narrative choice! kakashi is also extremely afraid of orochimaru and highly protective of sasuke; again it reads as a Personal fear/protectiveness rather than purely Professional to me. it builds this idea of kakashi being one of sasuke's choices, and orochimaru being the other (and we know which one he chooses unfortunately lol)

chidori in general is like. crazy btw. it becomes sasuke's signature move. and it's kakashi's creation. hi

this is also something that was dropped but there was also the occasional pointing out of similarities between, fucking, lee and gai of all people vs kakashi and sasuke? and like i don't need to explain this one that much right. gai is lee's dad in like everything but name LOL (and much like kakashi he also has questionable habits when it comes to how he teaches his kid)

but this is way too long LMFAO my tldr is that I Like Them And I Wish They Had More Screentime </3

their dynamic concretely to me is about caring very much about someone who shares a lot of pain with you, but being a little intimidated by that shared aspect. nothing hurts more than failing / being failed By someone who you know DOES understand you, in the end!

it's all my personal preference of course there's no right or wrong way to read naruto (well the wrong way is thinking it's good.) (joke) but i WAS surprised to not see sasuke and kakashi's relationship being discussed more (esp. with empathy for both characters) because well. obviously it's one of my favorite naruto things GFKDMGKFDM

I have more [as] idea's but their more prologue and tiny minor adjustments to canon than anything else.

Kakashi backstory w/ Yosano Akiko: - Mori could be Danzo and ROOT is the Port Mafia. - "Akiko" is Kakashi's ROOT name - Yang Chakra is Iryo Ninjutsu chakra and the Hatakes have an abundance of Yang so they have potential to be Medic Nin (aka Yasano's ability) - Hates hospital's because of Yosano trauma (has seen the aftermath of two people commit seppuku. The mentality). - Backstory Yosano is like 10 y/o & Rin + Obito died when Kakashi was 12/13 (do with that what you will)

Age down, maybe? Gossip trio (Ranpo, Dazai, Yasano) as Team 7? Fukuzawa <- Minato? I don't know how the rest would play out but I like Gai = Ranpo in getting Kakano out of the "darkness" of ROOT. B/c Kakashi canonically goes into ROOT for a bit so give 'em ✨more trauma✨

Kakano is even weirdo-er when he's protective of mask, hitai-ate, and the butterfly.

Kakashi -> Nikolai - Either he opens up Kamui early or puts a Genjutsu on himself. Maybe Kalai was feeling funsises? - The book is just his Sharingan eyes writing out the script. Natsume is OP asf b/c Kakashi didn't dream up the place all at once. - Give him a like "I was but a whisp in the wind" until he could comfortably integrate himself into the story. - That's why Kakashi has so little chakra (they nerfed Kakashi), he's almost constantly using Kamui - (Obito using Kamui too, seeing BSD world and deciding immediately to be a menace... Obidor!!!!!!!!!!! and they don't know it's each other and OH MY GAWWWD)

That's why Kakashi's "Maa, so boring" / disinterested thing sometimes becomes silly goofy, its his inner Nikolai taking over.

-Was given a handkerchief by Kakashi at the age of 10. He had stumbled across her while she was upset and consoled her, a moment and item she keeps with her still.

-Absolutely loves mahjong and has lost track of time playing in game rooms on off days when she goes.

-Her kimono collection isn't as vast as it used to be. Most of them were gifts from the Uchiha clan and others gifts from potential suitors. However they were burned after what happened with Itachi, her family seeing it as a bad omen to keep them. -Can she hold liquor? No. Does she enjoy expensive premium sake? Yes.

-She’s taken the role of a mother figure to Taranee quite seriously despite being only six years her senior. Taking it upon herself to be a good role model and taking any and all responsibility for her. This does partially stem from watching her mother shun the younger girl.

-She has a love for flowers and tends to the family garden quite often and switches out arrangements throughout her family’s home.

-Wanting to be a ninja was a decision she had made on her own as a small child, mostly because she was hyper-aware that her life had been decided for her and she wanted something for herself.

-Her go-to place when stressed or upset/sad is the kitchen, where she can be found peeling potatoes, many, many potatoes… Which results in serving an abundance of korokke at some point.

-Anyone close enough to her can catch the scent of cherry blossoms, an oil she purchases with every spring season.

-The matching white ribbon she wears in her hair was given to Kakashi, his choice as a prize during one of many face-offs with Guy. A similar scenario leaves her with an IOU to the copy-ninja per his choice.

-She likes to take late-night dips in her family hot spring while everyone is sleeping, using that time away to daydream and get lost in her thoughts.

-She’s proud of her figure but didn’t start showing it off until after her engagement was annulled, having been rather discreet with respect to her future in-laws.

-She had a moment in teenage rebellion and got a tattoo on the edge of her bikini line after promising she wouldn’t get any tattoos to her parents. It’s of a Sakurasou, an indication that she is a romantic at heart (obviously…) The only person who has seen it is her younger sister.

-Often makes lunch for her team and occasionally will “accidentally” make too much that she insists on sharing with Team 7.

-Every summer Yumi can be found with her hands tinted a yellow color, this is due to her making her own lip paint from the benibana flower, a tradition she looks forward to every year.

-Has an aim that is quite frankly scary when it comes to throwing sandals.

Every one has the right to their own opinion ..you and I as well. So I want to let you know what I think when it comes to charactericise Kakashi ....

1.) Bad teacher:

First and foremost ...Kakashi never wanted to fullfill that job at all. He was a bit pressured into through Hiruzen ...especially to take on team 7 who was very challenging at the very beginning. We have Naruto ...the Jinchuriki ...Sasuke Uchiha with the Sharingan....who has lost everyone of his clan ...deeply traumatised ..and Sakura Haruno ..a girl from an average family who craves the attention especially of Sasuke Uchiha. And before ..he failed every student ..but not because ..he was a bad teacher but what he has experienced as a student himself he never wanted that young people would experience this again. Because of this ..teamwork was the most essential tool to Kakashi. And he expected his former students to see behind deception ...and they failed at it ..plus they did not work together. Kakashi was such a fierce teacher ...because he knew firsthand ..how brutal and reckless the Ninja way was. He was never that convinced ..that children at this young age should become Ninjas. He himself questions himself over taking students ...and we see his former students approaching him ..and thanking him ...for putting them back to the academy ..because they realized that they still had something to learn there. Its exactly what Kakashi was in need of ...the gratefullness of his former students. He took team 7 ....and gave them a seconed chance. My favorite arc in Naruto Classic is the land of waves arc ...and there we can see ...how Kakashi takes all three of his students serious. They save him ..in the first fight ...and he saves them. They all learn to team up. Especially in regards of Sakura ...Kakashi praises her chakra control ...and hints ..that she is a better candidate to be a future Hokage. No one can tell me ..that Kakashi has treated team 7 badly. To Sasuke he says ..calm down ...you can trust me ...I will not let my comerades die. And he fullfilled what he promised there. Many people dont know ..that Jiraya has told Kakashi ...to teach Sasuke ..while he teaches Naruto ...and Kakashi was the one who encouraged and approved Sakura ..to go to Tsunade! It was Kakashi ..who made sure ..that all three came up with training and a Sensei! When in fact its custom ...Ninja students have to find their own Sensei ..its not otherwise around. Kakashi always acknowledged Sakuras progress ...and her strength ..and her chakra control! He always respected her ...and was fond of her ..this as a sidenote.

2.) He has a tendency to see himself reflected in Sasuke

Partially you are right on that. But not fully. For instance ..before the chunin exams ...he traines Sasuke the chidori ...after all ..Kakashi is the only one ..who is left with a Sharingan aside of an Itachi ..who is no longer in Konoha at that time. So it makes fully sense. Plus ..their chakra element is the same ..the lightning element. Plus ...Jiraya ordered Kakashi ..to take on Sasuke. And that is why Kakashi tells a Guy on the Chunin exams ...that he is almost similar to Sasuke. So yes ...of course he relates to him more than to Sakura or Naruto. You mention that Kakash has lectured Sasuke about revenge ..and the thing with that is ...that there is a deep reason behind this. Sasuke has the curse mark of Orochimaru. And every time ...Sasuke uses his chakra ...the curse mark reacts to it. So that is why Kakashi has sealed it away ..but not fully. Only by his own will ...Sasuke can supress the extend of Orochimarus curse mark. If Sasuke goes on a rampage and on the path of revenge ..Kakashi knows that this leads to the downfall of Sasuke. He warnes him as well ..because Kakashi experienced first hand ...what revenge does ...and because ...he cares for Sasuke. You have to realize ...Kakashi has very high moral standarts ....and that is why ..he wanted Sasuke ..to not take that path of revenge! We can see ...how damaged Sasuke was ...after he went on that path. And exactly this is why Kakashi didnt want that to happen to Sasuke in the first place. He lectures him not like ..".and you cant leave the village ...and if you do ..we have to imprison you!" ...no ...but he says to him ..that even if he goes that path ...it will leave him empty ..and that is what happenend to Sasuke in the end. So we can see that Kakashi is never that careless teacher so many want to believe!

3.) He is the Konohas will of fire extremist!

Kakashi is NO bootlicker. As so many want to believe! He ..for instance ....rescued Tenzo / Yamato out of the root foundation ..without the permission of both of Hiruzen and Danzo! His only goal was to rescue Tenzo ...and doing something good and meaningful for the village. Before this ...he entered the library of the Hokage at night ...and went through files , something he was not obliged to do ..and Hiruzen allowed Kakashi to continue reading letting him know about the experiences with the Hashirama cells.. When ordered by Tsunade to another mission ...Kakashi went after Sasuke and Naruto instead ...abandoning straight foreward what Tsunade wanted him to do. And at the five Kage summit ...he encouraged Naruto ...to bring his request before the Raikage ..to pardon Sasuke. And when Team Asuma wanted to go all alone to avenge Asuma ....he begged Tsunade to go with them ...even though Tsunade did not approve that in the first place. Kakashi ...will always ..always defend his village ..you are right on that one ..but is this such a failure at all? Konoha is his family after all ..and do we not all defend what is ours? You mention the Tobi encounter with Naruto...and you believe ...Kakashi would not have wanted to investigate if what Tobi is saying is true? I wholesheartedly believe ..that Kakashi would have wanted to investigate this. But ..as we all do know ..that the circumstances to do that ..was set aside ..due to Madara declaring openly war against the Shinobi world. If Sasuke would have wanted ...to be close to Sakura and that she would understand his path ...he could have told her ...his story! But Sasukes main goal was revenge ..and never ..to be understood by Sakura! He always has chosen the path of loner. Why was the Uchiha clan anihilated? Because ...the villagers distrust of the Uchiha clan has grown over time ..because the unleashing of the Nine tailes happenend in their midst. And the Uchiha clan responded to the villages distrust in an attempt of an uproar. This is not Kakashis fault in the first place. And most of the other Clan elders ...knew what went down with the Uchiha. So ..to say ..if they came to know ..it would have ended up likewise as with the Uchiha is ..a bit too far fetched. Or in a civil war ...no I dont think so ..because ..all the other clans were loyal to the will of fire ..and to the Hokage. If you look closely ...how Kakashi responded and acted when it comes to Danzo and the elder council ..you would see the hints ..of him being disgusted by their corrupt and false approach of handling things. After all ...Kakashi is Sakumos son ..and what did Sakumo do ...? Yes ...he abandoned a mission to save his comerades instead ..going against an essential Shinobi rule. Was Sakumo sticking to the rules ...no he was not! He did what is right in the first place ...not what the Shinobi system requiered from him. Sakumo was against those corrupt system and so was Kakashi as well ....nothing of maintaining the corrupt system. What did Kakashi do as Lord 6? Exactly ..he went against the corruption ...in every way possible.

4.) He uses emotional manipulation!

When it comes to his opponent of course. But never when it comes to his friends loved ones and students. The "idiot "thing is something ...who was edited into ...Kakashi never ever did say such things to Sasuke. You can forget the "idiot thingy"! Instead ..I strongly urge you ..to look the Episode again : Episode 475 title the "the final valley!"Rewatch it please! When Obito said to a 12/13 year old Kakashi ...that the white fang of the leaf is a hero in his opinion ..that changed Kakashis thinking completly. So your assumption ..that Kakashi stuck to his believes when he was 12 ...is not true at all. Kakashi is one of many characters in Naruto ...who changed to the better. And ...that he is there for his comerades and will safe them ..no matter what ..was always Kakashi Ninja way of life ...even at the age of 5.

Seems to me ..that you dont like Kakashi so much...or that you are just ....misunderstanding things ...when it comes to him. Did we actually watch the same Series at all ....? Maybe ...you should take the time ...and rewatch the series ...

What are Kakashi's major character flaws?

Hello, Anon. Sorry this took so long.

Ah, Kakashi, I have so many different emotions when it comes to him and his characterization; while I love him because I found him powerful, interesting (mysterious) and I adore his sarcastic personality, those treats of him are not enough as to forget his flaws.

Let me do a tap to show you:

1. Bad teacher. I don’t know why Hiruzen thought it was a good idea to put a clearly traumatized young man into a position of responsibility with three, young, impressionable, children, but alas, there he is. He only tried to actually teach them something back in Wave, maybe because he was bored, and when they came back he only paid any attention to Sasuke. Naruto and Sakura were their students only by title, he didn’t even have faith in Sakura’s abilities when he inscribed her in the chünin exams. (She literally had to find her own teacher by herself).

I get why they put Sasuke with him, so Kakashi could teach him about the Sharingan and all, but he doesn’t even do that. He teaches him the Chidori, which is awesome, and that’s pretty much it.

2. He has a tendency to see himself reflected in Sasuke. Both of them lost everyone they cared about when they were little, and Sasuke resembles the personality Kakashi developed after Sakumo’s suicide, however, their traumas -while they have similar outcomes (they lost their family)-, have different triggers, and that’s something Kakashi doesn’t seem to fully comprehend. As such, he talks about how bad the road of revenge is, without fully understanding what that means to Sasuke or why Sasuke has chosen it.

You know when parents see themselves reflected in their kids and try to live through them? So they want to push them into the path/dream/objective they wanted but weren’t able to achieve? Something similar happens between Kakashi and Sasuke. Although Kakashi firmly believed he was helping his student, he didn’t try to fully understand him as his own, individual self.

3. He’s a Konoha’s will of fire extremist. This comes as no surprise, while Kakashi maintains his break-ruler facade for most of part one, he follows unconditionally every order and law established by the Hokage.

The best example I can think of this is when Tobi reveals the truth about the Uchiha massacre, while Naruto wanted to investigate to know if what Tobi said was the truth, Kakashi stops him saying that they shouldn’t make a big deal about it because it could be a lie. He doesn’t even say “let’s investigate it quietly, and then we see what we’ll do with it”.

His extremist patriotism leads him to hide the massacre -even after they know it wasn’t a lie- to the citizens and shinobi of Konoha (including Sakura, who was also the teammate of Sasuke, which could have clearly help her to comprehend his decisions), because what do you think would happen if the clans find out their government annihilated one of their own only to maintain themselves in the position?

Civil war, probably.

And because of the civil war, most nations would probably see that as an opportunity to strike.

So, instead of doing the right thing, he maintained the corrupt system only to ensure Konoha’s survival.

4. He uses emotional manipulation. Who knows, maybe he learned it thanks to Sakura or vice-versa, but the result is the same. Back in the war arc, when Sasuke arrives and Sakura confesses -again- her love for him and Sasuke -again- rejects her, Kakashi insults him, calling him an idiot, for not matching Sakura’s feelings. I wasn’t able to find the panel because I’m not on my computer so you can google it if you want.

Calling a person an idiot, depending on the context, is downgrade their statements and basic comprehension skills, putting yourself as an adequate individual to understand, explain, and even solve or give a conclusion to a determined subject. So, Kakashi insulting Sasuke that way and then highlighting Sakura’s feelings was not only an attempt of lowering Sasuke’s self-esteem in order establish the idea of “you don’t deserve her, you should be thrilled that she loves you”; but also to be seen in a moral superiority position to judge Sasuke’s actions and be taken into account.

Something that, luckily, didn’t affect Sasuke.

I’m sorry for bringing Sasuke so much to answer this ask, but the way Kakashi handled the trauma and then the deflection of his student pretty much resumes what his flaws are.

I could talk here about his relationship with Obito too, and how he influenced his personality after the war, or why I believe Obito didn’t start a war only because he was “rejected” by Rin, but because it was an understandable evolution of his beliefs, (while Kakashi’s own beliefs stayed in the same state he achieved when he was twelve), but that would make this answer too long for the reader.

Why do you think Sasuke loved Naruto so much? They saw each other at the age 8 but never interacted until they became a team. Even as a team they spend not a lot of time together. Why is it so hard for Sasuke to break his bond with Naruto but not with Sakura and Kakashi?

Why Sasuke loved Naruto so much??

This is the very first question I got after watching VoTE1 for the first time. Well, not exactly this same question... Because I never shipped them at this point. I was like, ‘What did Naruto do for you to claim him as your Closest Friend?’

Like Why??? It was easier for him to leave Sakura and was never shown to have any pain whereas with Naruto, why did he look so devastated???

What did Naruto do for Sasuke to warrant such a strong emotion???  All we have to do is to backtrack and find the incident about why he has such strong feelings towards Naruto.

Before that, let see what each Team 7 member did for Sasuke individually.

What did Naruto do for Sasuke?

This is one of the significant moment for both of these boys when they were around age 8. Both found that each other were Lonely due to varying circumstances and just smile at each other to acknowledge their existence.

I would say, this is very important for Naruto than it is for Sasuke. 

Why??

Someone smiling at Sasuke is not a new thing... Basically every Jack and Jill in his Class gave him the utmost attention and probably smiled at him. But for Naruto... It’s extremely valuable. Still, Sasuke also considers this as something important.... Which means he was extremely glad that he found Naruto at that time and got this faint feeling that he was not alone!!!

In the Forest of the Death, Naruto strengthened Sasuke's mental resolve when they fought with Orochimaru. Naruto literally called out Sasuke for being a Coward “This coward is not the Sasuke I know”. This motivated Sasuke to fight back Orochimaru.

After that, Naruto saved Sasuke from Gaara and fought with him. Although, it was not entirely a Naruto's thing because it was Sasuke’s words, “I don’t want to see any of my precious comrades die before me again” motivated Naruto to fight Gaara by unleashing Monstrous power that laid dormant inside him.

Considering all the above incidents....

Whatever Naruto did for Sasuke... All of these are just a filtered DudeBro Style friendship and nothing special. And to be honest, compared to Naruto..... Sakura and Kakashi did a lot for Sasuke in Part 1.

Let’s just put ourselves in Sasuke’s place. Oh!!! Please refrain from going into that Trauma & UCM part because that’s not the point of this post. It’s just we have to imagine that we are an Orphan who lost everything in our past.

With that being said,

What did Sakura do for Sasuke?

I really don’t want to talk about this girl in detail but I don’t want to be biased as well... I am writing this section from a Non-Shipping perspective. So, lots of SasuSaku moments will be here...

Sakura desired Sasuke for his looks and cool ‘play hard to get’ behaviour. She doesn’t have a reason why she came to like him. Probably being bullied for her ‘charming forehead’ in her childhood, somehow she got into this warped mentality that if she gets the recognition of the Popular Boy... then everyone will respect her. So, it was not an unconditional love per se. She always expected something back from him. At the same time, She never understood him what he was going through from an emotional POV or to be precise, she is not capable of understanding him. 

But still, after she was grouped along with Sasuke in Team 7, She started to care about him. Well, any person would come to care about their teammates and she was no different. But since she ‘loved’ Sasuke, Sakura goes above and beyond for him while at the same time, she was seen showing scum-rated care towards Naruto. 

I hate to say this... But isn’t it faintly similar to how Sasuke shielded Naruto when he fought with Gaara??? No matter how shallow her love is, she didn’t shield Naruto when Lee sent him flying whereas she wanted to shield Sasuke from falling and getting injured. 

This is another instance where she couldn’t see Sasuke suffering from immense pain and hence she also started to cry.. After this she took both Sasuke and Naruto out of that place and took care of them by pulling an all-nighter.

Sakura realized that Sasuke has changed and was going out of control because of the Cursed Seal. So, She decided to stop him from his rampage and it worked out too. 

“I don’t want to see you suffering anymore... To me, you are...”

So, it hurts Sakura if Sasuke was shown to be suffering from some kind of pain, eh??? She may be totally selfish here... like “If something happens to Sasuke, I would feel lonely”... But, I think in this particular moment she genuinely cared about his well-being. So, it really hurts her to see Sasuke suffer like that... [[I smell Chapter 698 here....]]

A foolish act.... But a brave one for sure. She somehow wants to protect Sasuke by putting her life on the line. [[Her body moving on it’s own, huh???]]

I don’t know whether to laugh at the hilarious encounter that happened after this scene or to feel bad for her. Either way, after Sasuke was knocked out by Itachi, this girl visited him daily... I doubt she ever visited Kakashi... Anyways, After Sasuke woke up, she wanted to offer food and take care of him like a good Girlfriend.

So, What I am trying to say here is that this girl cared about him more than anyone else because she loved him.... Whether her love is deep or shallow is not the point here... 

If we put ourselves in Sasuke’s place, this girl did hell a lot more than what Naruto did for him personally. Since Sasuke has no one to take care of him in this way, these gestures of Sakura should have generated a curiosity or interest or spark towards this girl or in a traditional storytelling sense, he should’ve fallen in love with her..... 

Because that’s how most media will bring 2 people together to fall in love. A physically and mentally wounded boy was taken care of by an angelic girl and was healed by her love and then he fell in love with her. 

But Man!!!!! This is where Kishimoto started to break all the tropes by making Sasuke totally impervious to her love/care. All he said was, ‘Thank You’... And that word is a nice gesture for all the care she had shown to him so far. 

[[Now, I know why SS peeps are so invested in this ship... because Sakura did many things for him romantically... they somehow got into this warped mentality that “If I do a lot of stuffs for you... then my love should be reciprocated”.... But there is this concept called ‘Unconditional Love’ which they refuse to understand]]

What did Kakashi do for Sasuke?

Kakashi felt Sasuke was trembling in fear because of the murderous aura emitted by 2 Jounins and reassurred him by saying that ‘Don’t Worry!!!!I’m here to protect you’..... 

Kakashi helping out Sasuke to seal the Cursed Seal. This helped Sasuke to focus on preparing for the Chunin Exams One on One fight Vs Gaara rather than wallowing in pain whenever he fights using Chakra.

Kakashi passed on his Ultimate Jutsu to him.... Which became one of Sasuke’s most predominant Jutsu in his arsenal... Even many of his Jutsus like Chidori Nagash, Chidori sword, Chidori senbon are all based on this Jutsu. 

I am going to go ahead as call it as a Fatherly Act from Kakashi. Just like how Minato’s Rasengan was passed onto Naruto, how Fugaku taught Katon: Goukakyu no Jutsu when Sasuke was 7, Kakashi’s Chidori was passed onto Sasuke. Even databook also says that Sasuke saw Kakashi as a Parental figure.

Kakashi also tried to instill some sense in Sasuke after he fought with Naruto on the Hospital Roof Top. Sasuke almost got convinced after hearing his pep talk. But then Sound Four mind-fucked Sasuke and it all spiralled out from then.

Considering all the actions from every member of Team 7.... I would say 

Kakashi acted like a Parent for Sasuke at many instances. 

Sakura acted like a Care-Giver and a Girl-Friend who would do anything for him. 

Naruto acted like an “Hey Bro.... Yo Bro” kind of friend who helped him out of certain difficult situations from time to time.

[[If only this Sakura was Nil-Horny and cared more about Naruto.... I would’ve shipped SS, maybe.... Of Course, only if Sasuke was interested in her]]

Even looking from my SNS eyes, Naruto really didn’t do anything great or special for Sasuke to forge such a strong bond that he found it very difficult to break.

So why couldn’t he break that bond with Naruto????

That moment when Sasuke sacrificed his life and Naruto asked Sasuke, “Why??? Why me??? You should’ve minded your own business”...

Let’s look at each incidents from an Objective non-shipping perspective..

1. Sasuke Offering Bento to Naruto in Bell Training. 

This is totally a Sasuke moment... It’s something, Naruto should ponder upon. Sasuke didn’t gain anything from it actually. It’s funny how he totally excluded Sakura out of that panel...LOL....

2. The ‘Accidental’ Kiss.

Ummm.... Why is he remembering it here if he was ‘so disgusted’ ???? Anyways, that was totally on Naruto and yet Sasuke fondly remembers it.

3. Naruto sizing up Sasuke up-close.

Seriously???? What’s so special about that scene anyway??? After Naruto Sized him up, he went on to kiss him.... Both of those incidents are connected and yet Sasuke puts it separately. Which means he liked Naruto coming up-close??? 

4. Competing in ‘Who Eats more’?

LOL.... It’s totally a fluff scene. Again nothing special.

5. Naruto falling down from the tree during Tree Climbing Training...

In my honest opinion, this is not even a scene worthy to remember. If I were Sasuke, I would have forgotten about it already. I would say, Kakashi reassuring the Trembling Sasuke that “I am here for you” is a much better scene to remember that this pointless one...

6. Sasuke showing-off his Rope untying skills.

A decent scene. It seems Sasuke clearly enjoyed that prank. But hey... Why is he remembering Naruto’s Prank anyway???

7. Sasuke taunting Naruto.

This scene has multiple callbacks from Naruto’s side as well. It maybe special from Naruto’s side but from Sasuke’s POV.... Naaahhh.... But he remembers it anyway.

8. Naruto’s Hokage Dream.

“Hello Mr.Sasuke, Your dream has just went down to drain.... Why are you thinking about Naruto’s Hokage dream which has nothing to do with you??”.... Weird!!!

9. Walking along with Naruto.

So, Sasuke liked to walk along with Naruto. And it was intentional. Hmmm!!!

10, Naruto stabbing his wound with his Kunai to continue the Mission.

This is actually a scene worthy to remember. Because, it shows Naruto is mentally strong and was willing to put his life on the line just to continue the mission. So, Sasuke actually admired Naruto in that scene. 

11. Roasting Sakura

LOLOL.... It’s funny because when Sakura asked whether Sasuke remembered this incident when she proposed him... Sasuke said, “I don’t remember”... Whereas he remembers it here. Sakura remembers it as a scene where she spoke to Sasuke for the first time. Sasuke remembers it as the scene where he stood up for Naruto.... 

12. Naruto shoulder-hugging Sasuke

Hmm... A pretty good scene to remember. But not something special.

Special, I mean here, is that Naruto often remembers Iruka blocking that Kunai from Mitsuki. It is important because it played a significant role in shaping up the Naruto we saw throughout the series.

Can I simply say... None of the above scenes are special enough to remember except for that Naruto stabbing himself with Kunai????? 

All the other scenes Sasuke remembered are just meaningless and If I were Sasuke, I would’ve forgotten most of it already. 

Unless 

If I were crushing on Naruto and remembers every random and silly moments I shared with him no matter how useless those moments were!!!!! 

Man!!! Sasuke was totally Brainrot about Naruto here. 

Again, Why Sasuke was only thinking about all those useless moments he shared with Naruto... While not remembering Sakura and Kakashi????

The answer lies in the panel itself.

Yes, the word Sasuke used here was....

Of course there is.... Sasuke fails to provide the reason in both the lines. He just did it without any regrets. That’s all.

This is not the only time...

Sasuke couldn’t able to give the reason even in Chapter 698 Confession.

So, Yes!!!! As I said earlier in the post, I tried to backtrack every events shared between Naruto and Sasuke in part 1 to find out the reason for “Why Sasuke couldn’t cut off his bond with Naruto even though they didn’t spend a lot of time together or to rephrase it, even though Naruto didn’t do much for Sasuke?”..... 

And I really wanted to say this panel is the reason....

Naruto’s behaviour of wanting to create bonds desperately, made Sasuke think about his Family. So someone giving off the family vibe may be the reason for Sasuke loving Naruto so much. And this was all happening from a distance. Like Sasuke was not even near or in friendly terms with Naruto to make him feel that way!!! 

It’s just by observing Naruto, Sasuke felt the feel of his Family....

It’s just by observing Naruto, Sasuke felt the weakness seeping into him....

It’s just by observing him again and again, Sasuke started to worry about Naruto more and more... 

And then, I thought what is the reason for all of this??? There must be a reason why Sasuke must be feeling this way. There’s no way someone would feel the warmth of a family just by observing a person... What’s so special about that person???

And All I found in the previous panel was 

Again, the same word choice,

なぜだか...気になるようになった。 Nazedaka... Ki ni naru yō ni natta. For some reason, I came to worry about you. [[I started to keep my eyes on you is a translation error]]

“For some reason”

Sasuke found Naruto was also a loner just like him. Initially he thought, Naruto was a weakling who just begs for attention by pranking everyone. But then later, he found out that’s not the case... In reality, Naruto just wanted to bond with someone just like Sasuke. 

This strong sense of similarity is what led Sasuke to start paying attention to Naruto and started to like him... Like he got a reason as to why he likes Naruto now. 

Why Sasuke felt very easy to break his bond with Sakura and Kakashi, despite them having done so much for him as compared to Naruto???

The reason Sasuke could easily break his bonds with Kakashi and Sakura was because he saw them as his team mates with whom he could work along, care about each other, protect each other and complete the missions. It’s very similar to the bonds you create in a Work Place. It’s like we all work together to do a project and then we go home. It’s not like we will emotionally connect with every person in the Office and feel devastated when we switch to another Office.

This above panel is just the basic Gist of what I mentioned above. It’s like Sasuke saying, “I liked working with you all... But I got another important Job in another Office... So, I have to leave you all”...

So, that’s why Sasuke could easily break up with Sakura and Kakashi. Because he was never invested in them emotionally. He didn’t know anything about Sakura and Kakashi or even bothered to know about them unless they tell him. 

Same applies with Team Taka. 

But with Naruto it’s very different. He already, unknowingly, invested his emotions in him from the day he smiled at Naruto near the Lake Pier, the day he started to worry about Naruto, the day he felt relieved on seeing Naruto.... And on the day Team 7 was formed, his emotional attachment with Naruto became even stronger which explains why Sasuke roasted Sakura for bad mouthing Naruto, even though he didn’t have to.

Even if Sakura bring the world for him, he could not feel anything for her...

And that’s why even though Naruto didn’t do anything special as compared to his other team members, Sasuke couldn’t break his bond with him because of the strong emotional attachment he already developed on Naruto way before Team 7 was formed....

And What made Sasuke to invest his emotions very strongly on Naruto???? In other words, why Sasuke loved Naruto so much???

For some reason, he started to worry about Naruto whenever he was rejected by the villagers...

For some reason, Naruto’s weakness was starting to taint him...

For some reason, Naruto reminded him of his family...

For some reason, he felt relieved on seeing Naruto...

For some reason, he felt the pain whenever Naruto was seen to be suffering...

For some reason, he thought about all the random and silly moments he shared with Naruto in his dying moment...

For some reason, his body moved on its own to protect Naruto....

No matter how much I look for it, I couldn’t find the reason. Because, in reality, Sasuke himself doesn’t have one....

He saw Naruto, felt some sense of similarity and started to like him because he was attracted towards him in an innocent way.

And after that everything he felt or did for Naruto was something that was out of his own control or reason or logic or explanation... 

Even though he won’t get anything out of this bond with Naruto... Sasuke would still do everything he did for him all over again without a shred of regret...

Because his love towards Naruto is unconditional.

What do u think obirin's kid would be like

I admit, I never drew a particular design of their child, mainly because I'm not very good at designing OCs, BUT I do have a lot of thoughts and headcanons!

Firstly, their first child would be a boy. I took a poll on Twitter, asking if their kid would be a girl or a boy, and most voted for boy and I personally think it's fitting (other opinions are definitely okay!)

Appearance wise, he'd have spikey hair and black eyes, but his features would be similar to Rin's; maybe dark amber hair, or maybe he'd have Obito's black hair and Rin's round face.

Secondly, the personality of their first son would be calm, gentle, friendly - not explosive like young Obito, quite the opposite in fact! Just a calm, friendly boy and a proud Uchiha who looks up to his parents, especially his father, who is the first Uchiha Hokage!

He'd be a perfect mix of Obito and Rin - and no, he doesn't have aspirations to become a Hokage - definitely unlike Sarada.

Rin would be a doting, caring mother towards her son, emotionally supporting him and making sure he has everything he needs, and Obito would be a proud, patient father towards his son when he trains him - if his son slips and fall, Obito would only be very encouraging and tell him to never give up, and that it's okay to stumble. He doesn't want his son to lose his confidence or motivation to become a great shinobi; he doesn't want him to go through the emotional turmoil he went through as a child.

Obito would enjoy telling him fun facts about the Uchiha Clan, or even stories of his time as a genin or chuunin, and stories about him and his mother - even give him advice about girls, acting as though he was a lady killer (but of course, his son would see through him and just deadpan and be like "Mom didn't even notice you before wut are you talking about")

He'd definitely have the Sharingan, and would activate it by the time he's a genin. Rin would also teach him basic medical techniques that would help him during missions - maybe even Mystical Palm. He takes his missions seriously, but also cares for his friends. Just like his father, he'd be a calculative shinobi.

He enjoys hanging out with Minato, Kushina, Kakashi and Team 7; they'd watch over him and train with him, and treat him to good food (Naruto's case, Ramen), and just have fun with him. When Obito and Rin want their alone time, he's usually with Kakashi.

Their son would also be the same age as Mirai Sarutobi or even older in the Boruto universe (I never watched Boruto so I could have some facts wrong), and I strongly believe that they would be good friends; I'm not sure if they'd be on the same team, I think that would be interesting, though. :)

Kakashi is the most underrated character in Naruto

1- in the Chunin exams when all the odds “forced” him to train Sasuke and leave Naruto everyone accused him of favoring Sasuke and not caring about Naruto ignoring all the logical reasons..

1- Sasuke was going to face the most dangerous opponent who was so thirsty to kill him (Gaara) so it was Kakashi's responsibility to teach him something so strong to defend himself with while Naruto's opponent was Neji, someone from the same village and not remotely dangerous like Gaara.

2- Sasuke was being chased by a creepy snake sanin and his gang trying to possess his body.

3- Sasuke had an uncontrollable curse mark that not only put him in more danger, it also drew him further into Orochimaru's trap that had to be observed, contained and needed a strong will and motive to be controlled.

4- Kakashi was the only one who can actually teach Sasuke inside the village since he is the only one with a Sharingan and lighting Chakra Nature affinity just like Sasuke.

5- and this is one of the most important reasons, it was Jiraiya's request to focus on Sasuke and leave Naruto to him as we've seen later on a flashback

6- Ebisu was a special Jounin, the 3rd Hokage considered him to be the best teacher and thus why he chose him to train his grandson but sadly he was always prejudged and was never given a chance to acually show what he can do as a teacher, so Kakashi didn't even abandon Naruto at all.

7- Kakashi went through a lot of trauma with his old team and he vowed to never let his new team to have the same fate as his old team so it was a top priority to him to save one of his team members from getting killed or kidnapped, it's like Kakashi's worst nightmare becoming reality all over again.

2- he was a very exceptional shinobi since he was very young (the youngest Genin ever at 5, the youngest Chunin ever at 6, the youngest Jounin at 9) and was already following his father's steps who Minato stated that he was stronger than the 3 Sannin without a Sharingan or any kind of Dojutsu and yet people keeps claiming that he is nothing without the Sharingan.

3- As I mentioned above while Kakashi was the youngest Genin ever at 5, Minato became Genin at 10 and Itachi at 7… and while Kakashi became Chunin at 6, Minato became Chunin at 11 and Itachi at 10 yet people claim that Itachi and Minato were smarter than him just because they had the top scores in the written part of the Chunin exam, the exam that he took when he was 5 years younger than Minato and 4 years younger than Itachi, give him that same exam when he is as old as them then we can talk and yet his score wasn't even far behind them.

4- he invents his own A-Rank Jutsu at the age of 9, people claims that he didn't and Indra did because of a filler episode that Indra used something similar to Chidori, ignoring every canon statement saying that it's Kakashi's original Jutsu

5- whenever he does something exceptional that proves how badass he is people claim that he copied it with the Sharingan:

he uses all 5 chakra natures, they say he copied it with the Sharingan even tho the Sharingan can't even copy Chakra Nature

He learns Rasengan before getting the Sharingan, they say he copied it with the Sharingan, HOW? how is he supposed to copy something with the Sharingan when he had no Sharingan?! And Rasengan can't even be copied with the Sharingan

He summons a perfect Susanoo that also can't be copied with the Sharingan, they say he copied sasuke's Susanoo with the Sharingan 🤦🏻‍♀️

He opens a gate that also can't be copied with the Sharingan, they say he copied it with the Sharingan

The Sharingan can only copy movements and hand signs, not everything.

6- in every debade they downplay him by comparing situations from the end of Shippuden to his version from the first season of Naruto or early Shippuden completely ignoring his development and other feats from mid Shippuden and the end of Shippuden.

7- once he lost the Sharingan everyone automatically assumed that he became weak ignoring all of his history and all of his abilities even tho it was officially stated in the canon novel “Kakashi Retsuden” that Kakashi now without the Sharingan is a lot more stronger than his war arc version with one Sharingan after he trained, learned so many new powerful Jutsus, increased his Chakra reserves significantly plus losing the Chakra drain the Sharingan caused him, invented more powerful Jutsus and made up for the loss of the Sharingan, still has his 1000 Jutsu and still a genius, they don't even try to gather information and look things up and continue the story then judge no, they just assume without even trying to know any facts.

8- he stays a Hokage for about 13 years and does magnificent things as it was mentioned Kakashi Retsuden:

The Fire Nation in Kakashi's reign witnessed a huge development in every aspect, architecture, technology (smartphones, computers, internet, trains… ) and economy.

He invented a system to keep the peace between the nations by exchanging goods, technology and inventions… etc, this system made all nations in constant need of each other instead of fighting each other which resulted in making the fire country the richest in history of all the 5 nations.

He helped Sakura open the first mental health clinic.

He got rid of the Root organization and all the corruption in the Shinobi system that used to truly create all the conflict and wars. Yet still people call him the worst Hokage and claiming that he did nothing as the Hokage.

9- in “Naruto the last movie” the Raikage wanted to blow up the moon and Kakashi stoped him because he believes in Naruto that he can do it yet everyone claims that Kakashi was the one who wanted to blow up the moon, they accuse him of doing the complete opposite of what he did, the man is literally a genius and they accuse him of making such a decision, blowing up the moon while his students, the Hyuga heir and her sister, the head of the Nara clan, the most valuable assets of his Village are up their.

Rating Naruto Dads: Lost and Found Edition

(These dads are all either found throughout the characters’ journeys or absent for some time before returning to meet with their child - Original Dad Rating Here)

Kakashi: 7.5/10. Is the only adult in Sasuke’s life consistently trying to show that he cares and instill values in him. Gave Naruto a basket of non-ramen related vegetables. Pulls back the child leash when his kids are about do something crazy. Doesn’t spend as much quality dad time with Sakura as the boys, but to be fair she has another perfectly good dad. Offered substitute parenting to almost every teenage ninja we know. Used his ninja presidency to bail his teenage terrorist son out of jail. Always catches his kids before they hit the ground. -2.5 for entering his students in the Chunin exams at age 12, but hey, he was given the parental equivalent of trying to defuse a bomb. B+ for effort. 

Yamato: 7/10. A reliable dad energy, who expects his kids to be the best version of themselves. Excellent in woodshop, a highly demanded Dad Quality. Tucked Naruto into bed after his panic attack. Tried to get to know his step-son Sasuke. Gets mad at people for hurting his kids’ feelings. Co-parented with Kakashi in Part II. Much like Sakumo in the first post, here for a good time, not a long time. Helped Kakashi to organize Naruto’s wedding and wanted to make the Uzumaki fam a wholeass house in Konoha Hiden. His points are lost purely for blowing in and out of their lives like a summer breeze. I am very biased.

Gai: 8.5/10. Very similar to Dai. Instills great values, protects his kids, pulls the child leash, supports Lee through his every journey, vibe checks Neji as needed. Incredible dad energy. Teeny deductions for teaching the self-destruction jutsu and for suggesting a suicide pact with a thirteen-year-old re: Lee’s operation. But hey, eyebrow-taijutsu solidarity.

Kaiza: 9/10. Do you remember Inari’s stepdad, way back in the Wave arc? He was pretty cool. Industrious, kind, buff dad. Once again, I don’t know if you should tell a six-year-old when you love something you should die for it, but I understand the moral of the story. 

Jiraiya: :S/10. My culture doesn’t have godfathers but I’m not sure that’s what you’re supposed to do when they make you one.

Zabuza: 4.5/10. Rescued, mentored and loved his adopted son Haku but only expressed it fully for it after he’d jumped in front of a jutsu. Really did not help Haku form a healthy worldview. Use your words, Zabuza!!

Minato Again But As a Zombie: 7/10. Cries because he is so proud of Naruto. Openly enamoured with his wife, a pleasant asset in any dad. Teaches Naruto a fun new jutsu he learned in Ninja Purgatory. Tries to resurrect him from the dead. Spends time with him on his birthday, which is arguably the only time we’ve ever seen a father do that in Naruto. He’s learning from his mistakes.

Kurenai: 10/10. As the primary source of actual parenting for both Hinata and Mirai, Kurenai is an honorary dad. Takes Hinata under her wing and is proud of her perseverance, and maintains the most well-adjusted team of any of the jonin sensei. Enjoys spicy food and alcohol, making her perfect Dad Company at a barbecue. Honourable mention to Asuma, who would also be okay company at a barbecue (RIP).

Headcanons of being Yagura Karatachis daughter who was adopted by Kakashi Hatake when she was three years old in the hidden leaves and now she was his student of 12 years old alongside Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura the other three 12 year olds. His adopted daughter had abilities identical to Yagura Karatachis

Note: I nearly gave up on finding a connection between Kakashi and Yagura, but then I thankfully remembered the whole Rin incident, which kinda gave me so basis for this ask.

Headcanons:

Kakashi had awful memories related to Kirigakure - his team member Rin being used as the key of wreacking havoc in Konoha, which left Kakashi with no other choice but to thrust a lightning flash through the girl's heart;

Upon hearing of the 3-year-old toddler up for adoption, which according to ANBU was a full-blooded offsprin of Yagura Karatachi, he would remeber those horrible times, but it was even worse when the 3rd Hokage assigned him to take care of the child and raise her as a member of the Konohagure;

At first the task seemed to be nothing more than torture, since Kakashi silently despised Kirigakure and it's deranged habitants, however, the first time, when you hurt yourself with his kunai, reminded him that you were just a human;

From that point on he began to watch your every step, always being close by to catch you in case you fell;

To keep your identity safe, Kakashi even gave you the Hatake clan name and officialized that you were his illigitimate daughter, who had the looks of her mother's lineage instead of her father's);

Unlike other shinobi, you did not enroll into the academy, but practiced your skills within the household ground's of the Hatake clan, that had been left behind by Kakashi ever since the death of Sakumo Hatake;

Your specialities were those passed down to you by your father Yagura, namely, bōjutsu, summoning jutsu (you would summon a demon turtle with spikes attached to it's shell) and ninjutsu (water and wind release);

Thanks to Kakashi's teachings, you were also able to awaken another nature type - lightning release;

Around the age of 12 you had to show your abilities and knoweledge in front of the Third hokage, who gave his aprooval to Iruka sensei and thus you graduated the academy without attending it for even a single day;

As your "father" was now the leader of team 7, you would often assist their missions (the descision was aprooved by the hokage) to gain some field experience;

In terms of charachter, you were pretty similar to Sasuke - minding your own business and barely uttering a sound;

Sakura had no problem with you as in her eyes you were way too passive to catch Sasuke-kun's eye;

Naruto, on the other hand, would constantly get on your nerves and do everything in his power to make you recognise his presence, which you began to do more oftenly, just to make the blonde shut his trap sooner;

Sasuke payed you no attention whatsoever, that is untill he saw you practice the chidori in secret;

That particular moment caught his attention and he would sometimes sneak around just to see your progress (it served as a drive to improve his own skills and always be the power house of the "etended team 7".

I actually had fun with the Hc’s for Team 7 and decided to post my own ideas as long as I don’t get any requests. As soon as I get my first I will start writing immediately, but I’m just overflowing with the need to write right now. Please bear with me🥺

Yandere Akatsuki Hc’s

Obito Uchiha

🔥This guy is for 100% on the possessive side. What do you expect? His best friend betrayed him and killed his love right in front of his eyes. You can imagine his surprise when he found out what strong feelings he held for you. It was like life gave him a second chance and there’s no chance in hell he will let it slide. Also delusional, he believes that if he isn’t with you, this cruel world will destroy you. He also thinks that you were sent by Rin to protect him.

🔥He is also the overprotective and clingy Yandere. Overprotective because he is, similar to Kakashi, afraid that something might hurt them. The only difference is that he is even more overprotective over his darling. That’s why I believe he is clingy as well. He needs to watch over them all the time which leads him to staying by their side 24/7. He only leaves if he really must and then Zetsu will most likely watch over them for him. He’s a very desperate one, losing all his trust and belief in everything makes him going crazy if he can’t have his darling’s love.

🔥His jealousy is terrible. Doesn’t matter which gender, age or position the person has, if someone even dares to look at you the last thing they will see is his Sharingan. Luckily for you, he doesn’t take you out often to where other people are.

🔥I pretty much said it above, but I’ll say it again. This guy couldn’t care less about who he kills. No regret, no shame. But the way they die depends on what they did with his s/o. If it’s just a simple look they will die a quick death. However, if someone talked to them or even dared to touch them they will die a slow and painful death. If someone goes as far as insulting them...I don’t even wanna talk about it.

🔥He kidnaps you as soon as he discovered his overwhelming feelings for you. He needs his s/o by his side at all times. Only he can keep them save in this terrible and cruel world. He is as mentioned delusional so he believes by doing this he protects them.

🔥He is a very overwhelming Yandere, but given his past you can’t really blame him. I can imagine that they are far more worse Yanderes here. After all, he truly wants his darling to be safe and desires nothing more than their love.

Zetsu

🪴Zetsu is a hard one to grasp, but if I think about him the first thing that comes to my mind is a stalker. He prefers to watch his darling silently from the distance, making sure they’re safe.

🪴He is also an obsessive Yandere. He’ll take notice of all the things you do and might even steal some things from you, just to have something that reminds him of you.

🪴The black half of him is the one who gets jealous faster, the white half is the one with more patience. But remember, even the white half has his limits and the influence from the black half doesn’t help. When they get jealous of someone they’ll just eat them, easy as that.

🪴Again, this is different for each side. The black one just wants to kill everyone who touches the s/o, even if it’s in the most innocent way, and the white one only kills if someone flirts with them, touches them in the wrong way, insults or hurts them. But the moment both halfs agree on the death of the person, it’s truly not a pretty sight.

🪴White Zetsu wouldn’t be too convinced with the idea of kidnapping you, worried that their darling might hate them for this, but Black Zetsu will try to talk him into it. At some point the white half will agree with the black one. They’ll most likely kidnap their darling whilst they sleep.

🪴Zetsu isn’t a very bad Yandere, he’s just a bit creepy because he always watches you. They would also never lay a hand on you and will most likely shower you in love.

Pain

🌧Due to his terrible past this guy is a possessive one as well. He lost already Yahiko and he won’t let another precious person to him slip away. I also believe that he is a controlling Yandere, which means he expects his s/o to listen to him and there will be consequences if they act up against him.

🌧Also a bit delusional. I mean, he thinks he is god, so it isn’t a surprise that he tells his darling that they will rule on his side as soon as he finishes his goal. I also think that he would sometimes even be a desperate kind of Yandere, meaning in this moments he just really, really wants his darling’s love.

🌧Since he’s possessive he’s naturally someone who gets jealous easily. But since he keeps them locked up nearly all the time, he doesn’t has to be jealous. If the s/o, however, talks about how much they miss their family or friends he will instantly get jealous and threaten his s/o to kill them. If they don’t stop talking about them, he’ll do it for real.

🌧I think most of the Akatsuki members have little to no shame about killing people. Pain isn’t an exception. He might just kill everyone they care about, just so he can be the only one they have left in their life.

🌧This guy will kidnap you probably the same day he saw you and will lock you up in his tower, where his real body is. The only people his darling will be seeing for the rest of their life are Konan, Nagato’s real body and Pein.

🌧Pain is in my opinion a very scary Yandere, but given his past the s/o might understand why he acts this way. But he’s still a very scary one. If you’re smart and treat him like the god he thinks he is, he’ll treat you in return like a god/goddess.

Konan

🤍Konan is a desperate Yandere, wanting nothing more than love and affection from her s/o. No wonder, her past is horrible. Also a manipulative one, she will use her past to guilt trip you into staying with her.

🤍I think that she’s a stalker as well. She has her duties to do and can’t be physically present all the time, but she will definitely always watch her darling. She’s also an overprotective Yandere to a paranoid level.

🤍She is in my opinion a bit more patient with other people than most of the other, but only a little. That means if someone makes her jealous, she’ll eliminate that person.

🤍As I mentioned, she has a bit more patience when it comes to people, but she won’t hesitate to kill people if she sees them as a threat. It is scary if you see it since she won’t show any emotions on her face whilst doing it.

🤍I think she won’t kidnap the s/o immediately, preferring to watch at first and being the silent guardian angel. But at some point she will get paranoid and take them with her to a place where she can keep them safe.

🤍On the better side from the Yanderes. Even though she will kill people for her darling, I think she will be very soft with her s/o. She only wants love. Give her love and she’ll make sure you’re as comfortable as possible.

Kakuzu

💴Congratulations, you’re doomed! He’s a possessive one, seeing them probably more as an object than a human. He’s in my opinion a Tsundere and will never admit it, but he secretly loves it when their darling gives him attention. But as long as he gets to keep them, that’s enough for him. At least for now.

💴He’s also a cruel and controlling one, meaning he will hurt the s/o if they don’t do as he says and he will probably even be amused whilst doing it.

💴His jealousy is a bit different than others because he sees the s/o more as a prized possession than a human. He doesn’t care if his s/o likes someone else, but he gets “jealous” if someone touches or tries to take away his possession. Then he’s willing to get messy.

💴Kakuzu won’t have a problem with killing, but he doesn’t like killing. Not because he feels bad or anything like this, he just views it as a waste of time. And time is money after all.

💴This guy sees the s/o as a possession so he will treat them like one. And a possession needs to be held by his owner so he kidnaps his darling very quickly and makes sure that they stay with him.

💴One of the worse Yandere in this list. He treats you terrible and has no empathy for you. On some rare times he might buy his s/o something, but he expects them to be grateful to him. It’s his precious money that he could have used better than buying a useless present so you better show your gratitude.

Kisame Hoshigaki

🦈He is the possessive type mixed with a bit of the sadistic type. I think a lot from the Akatsuki are possesive Yanderes and he’s no different. He isn’t such a bad sadist like Hidan, but he does have his pleasure with hurting and scaring his darling.

🦈I also believe that he’s the removal type of Yandere, which means he will get rid of every person in their life, just because he’s selfish and wants you for himself. As surprising as it may sound, I actually think he might be a desperate one as well. He wants someone who loves him and he wants his darling to be this person.

🦈This guy expects his s/o to pay attention to him and will get jealous as soon as they look at someone else. And as soon as he gets jealous he’ll throw a fit.

🦈He likes to scare his darling so I can imagine he will kill people right in front of them to show them what he’s capable off. He has no problem to kill people in public and let’s be honest, he’ll be pretty brutal and rip them in pieces.

🦈Kisame is selfish when it comes to his s/o so he will kidnap them early. He wants their company badly and nothing will stop him from getting them.

🦈I believe that he’s in the beginning a bad Yandere, but if his darling actually gives him affection he might become more nicer and softer towards them. That means if you just give him love, he’ll be better to endure. If you, however, choose to be a brat then don’t wonder when he’ll be rougher with you.

Sasori

🦂Best belief that he was at first more than annoyed with his feelings for you. He’s a puppet, he isn’t supposed to feel emotions. But here you are, stirring emotions inside of him up he didn’t know he had. He’s a possessive Yandere, wanting to keep his darling for himself. It’s only fair that he gets to keep them after they made him feel like this, right?

🦂He’s also an obsessive one, wanting to know every little detail about his darling. He’s very strict , using his poison to punish his s/o when they act up against him, but he won’t enjoy it. In my opinion he holds his darling very high, which gives him some traits of a worshipper as well. This guy uses his s/o’s body as a preference for his puppets since they are in his eyes perfect.

🦂Sasori thinks his darling is a masterpiece and since he’s possessive he hates it when others look at what’s only for his eyes. He probably won’t kill them immediately, giving them a warning with a venom dripping voice at first, but if the person ignores his warnings he’ll take care of them.

🦂He dislikes killing people because it’s in his eyes a waste of time. Most times a warning is enough to scare anyone away from his darling, however, if someone dares to lay a finger on your perfect skin Sasori will kill that person and make him into a puppet. Another way to get rid of someone is by poisoning them.

🦂This guy will think about the perfect plan to kidnap his s/o and when he does, it will be smooth as hell. He’ll poison them and take them to a secure place only he has access to.

🦂He isn’t the worst one from this list. He has more patience with his darling than with others and will take care of your needs. The only problem here is that he’s a puppet and doesn’t age, but his darling does. So there might be the chance that he’ll transform you into a puppet just like him.

Orochimaru

🐍Oh dear, this one is messed up. Similar to Kakuzu, Orochimaru won’t view you as an equal being, but more as a toy he can mess around with. So he’s a possessive one. He loves experimenting with people and enjoys their pain, what makes him a cruel and sadistic Yandere. He’ll most likely experiment on his s/o.

🐍He’s also the controlling type, expecting his s/o to listen to his orders. If they don’t he’ll be more than happy to use some potions and new jutsus on them, seeing how it affects them.

🐍I think he wouldn’t care about his darling very much, being indifferent when other people hurt them, flirt with them or make a move on them. The only exception is when he finds out someone else, except Kabuto, made experiments on the s/o. Then he will feel jealous. Only he is allowed to do this with them and he’ll make sure that his darling and the other person know that.

🐍Most of the times he will send Kabuto out to kill people for him who annoyed him. He will only kill people personally if they tried to help his s/o escape or experimented on them.

🐍Orochimaru will observe the s/o at first, making sure that they are worth kidnapping. As soon as he’s sure, he’ll most likely order Kabuto to get them for him.

🐍A truly terrible Yandere to have. He won’t treat you as a human being and will use you for his entertainment only.

Itachi Uchiha

🍡Itachi is a very calm and collected Yandere, aware of his not normal feelings for you and surely ashamed of it, but he can’t help it. But he tries to be as gentle and understanding with the s/o as possible. But if they anger him enough, he’ll use his genjutsu on them.

🍡He’s an overprotective Yandere, always watching his darling’s movements closely to make sure nothing bad happens.

🍡He is as mentioned calm, collected and understanding, but he’s only human and will feel jealous at some point. At first he will try to stop whatever interaction the person has with his darling politely, if that doesn’t work he’ll use his Sharingan.

🍡Won’t kill someone unless they provoke him enough, for example hurting his darling or trying to make them theirs. Then he’ll make sure to trap them in his Tsukoyomi and kill them over and over again until he’s satisfied.

🍡He hates the thought of kidnapping his s/o and tries to have a normal relationship with them at first, but at some point he just needed them too desperately.

🍡Probably one of the better Yanderes out there. He’s very understanding and patient with his darling and would never harm them unless provoked enough. There is a chance his darling might even fall for him since he’s so gentle with them.

Deidara

💥Delusional and clingy, that’s all I can say about him. He believes his s/o and him are destined to be together and no one is able to convince him other wise. He loves when his darling is near him and is pretty touchy in my opinion.

💥A huge worshipper of his darling. He believes that they are a masterpiece and will definitely shower them with compliments. He’s also very obsessed with his darling.

💥He wants all of his darling’s attention for himself and if someone even dares to look at their direction, he’ll blow them up and will feel proud about it, seeing it as an ultimate sign of love for his s/o.

💥I mentioned it above but I’ll say it again. He feels proud when he kills someone for you because he believes that this is an ultimate sign of love. He might even take his darling with him to show them his “love”.

💥He believes that he does the right thing when he kidnaps you and doesn’t even think of it as kidnapping. In his opinion his darling is the prince/princess who needs to be saved and he’s their knight in shining armor.

💥If we go by elimination, he’s one of the better ones. Even though he is delusional and clingy, he would never harm his darling, at least not in a very violent sense.
