Speaking as someone who's complete sandman knowledge comes from the show, I think it's interesting that desire and dream hate each other so much. They must work very closely a lot of the time, right? Dreams often show us our desires, and in a way, Desire is a part of dream. Idk it's interesting. I'm speaking out of my ass here. I'm sure there is lore that i'm just too lazy to read.

No but the amount of people who basically say "Everything is Mabel's fault" and who demonize an actual child for wanting childish things is so ridiculous T_T Especially when her brother spent THE ENTIRE SEASON wanting JUST as ridiculous things, but nobody gave a shit about the mistakes Dipper made or ever pointed a finger at him and said "He's the reason everything's so messed up."

The whole point of Gravity Falls is that they're both children and that one isn't "more mature" than the other. They're dealing with an actual evil demonic entity that's known to trick grown men and women, so said entity tricking two kids should not have been as shocking to people, yet idk I guess with all of us also being kids when this show came out we just didn't get it either lol.

Anyways, I love Mabel and I love Dipper, I don't think either of them are at fault for anything in that show because now that I'm older i realize how stupid it would be to get angry at children for being tricked by an actual demon.
