some natsu redesigns except my nostalgia prevents me from making a true redesign because im constantly stuck in between "i want to remake him from SCRATCH/but i want him to be still very close to how i knew him as when i was a kid" so instead he just gets an outfit redesign cuz his fashion sense was as nonexistent as his shirt.
ill die on the crop top natsu hill
anyway y'all, im mad they never gave him a cool dragonifcation or explored the fact he is apparently a demon dragon or whatever that much so i will instead. i also remember kid me being so disappointed during the jellal fight cuz his scales were skin colored and not red 🤣 and i was thinking maybe like this is the first stage or smthn and he'll get worse and worse, proceeding to look more inhuman and like a dragon but no.
dragon cry was a godsend, but like it was a bit late.

@zai-doodles did this for me as comm! It’s my redesign of Lucy’s Leo Stardress + Loke because you can’t have his wife without her husband.
Design notes 👇
For the Stardress itself, I really didn’t change much because I adore its canon design. I changed the golden sash so hangs down by her side to give it a tail-like look. I love the bun she has in the og, but I wanted her Stardress to give more Lion vibes, so I changed it to spacebuns that kind of look like ears. She also has brass knuckles because I want Lucy to have weapons in every dress, and not just certain ones.
For Loke, it’s just my redesign of him, and i love him so much. He’s so prebby. His rings can also turn into brass knuckles if he so chooses.

I may not look it but i used to watch ft!!
I've been rewatching some of the episodes and im still wishy washy on whether or not I want to redesign all the characters but here's some recent and old character sketches!! I've been playing around with their designs but trying not to deviate too far so that the characters still look like who they're supposed to be
Idk if anyone would wanna see me redesign/rework every character but I'd post em if there were people who wanted to see that.
Here's the rundown for those who are interested:
My basic ideas for fairy tail are to make every character a fantasy trope/creature/class/myth. Some of the characters will change into a different thing over time as they gain experience. I feel like fairy tail has a lot of potential to write a more modern fairy tale type story because of the whole wizards and magic thing. With dragons and princesses n everything. This is obviously present in the story, but i really want to reinforce that idea. there are some characters who I think really fit this, like Erza (obvi main knight of the story but also has the title of titania queen of the fairies) and natsu (obviously dragon as an mc, sort of a role reversal of the evil dragon. and maybe a fun demonic plot twist haha). But with other characters i may need to make more changes. Lucy is a loose version of the princess (with a fun runaway backstory), but I want her to evolve into a priestess. Grey kinda has nothing going on for him imo, the ice wizard thing keeps throwing me off every time i try to project something onto him. I think i'll go with a hunter -> demon slayer thing. He just happens to use ice magic. i don't wanna go with regular wizard because thats a bit boring lmao. It would also make the elemental thing between natsu and grey funnier bcuz he's a spooky demon and that guys a hunter so you guys REALLY shouldnt get along. They do anyway because the power of friendship lol Anyways that's the basic plan? even if i dont post it on tumblr just know its cooking in the back of my head. thx for reading all this haha
#fairy tail#nalu#Natsu dragneel#lucy heartfilia#wendy marvell#redesign#lisanna strauss#fanart#anime#manga#Fairy tail is so near and dear to my heart still#i really should finish it#but also GOD JUST GIVE ME THE REIGNS I PROMISE I COULD REWRITE THIS SERIES SO GOOD#poor wendy cant figure out if nalu is dating or not#she's like a little sister to natsu in my version#also all the dragon slayers arent just humans who can harness the power. like. its more obviously a part of them#like natsu and wendy naturally bond because dragon pack instincts ig and boom now she has an older brother#also wendy is a sky dragon like why doesn't she wear clothes that make sense for sky magic#she's gonna b cold just wearing that dress in the sky! cover her up!!#also lucy is trans i dont make the rules#ALSO MATES AS IN DATING#NOT SEX LOL

Hc (and something I wish would've actually happen): During that scene in 3x23 where Griffin, Saladin and Faragonda fight eachother Griffin realized at some point that something's was off bc she just knew that Valtors powers felt diffrent in that moment. Like she still recognized his powers but she knew in a real fight with him it would be diffrent. So she stopped attacking and instead just defended herself bc she knew how he works and there could be the chance that all of this is a twisted illusion and that Saladin and Faragonda still could be there.
That's always bugged me! Forget knowing Valtor's magic! The idea that Griffin, Saladin and Faragonda wouldn't recognize each other's magic is absolutely mindboggling! They've known each other for literal decades and have fought a war together!!! There's no way they wouldn't realize they're fighting each other! But once again, plot is prioritized over having character situations that make sense (because otherwise the Winx wouldn't have gotten to fight Valtor with the Water Stars and had the shocking revelation that Valtor has trapped Bloom's parents in his body that's... debunked by the end of the next episode... by the Ancestral Witches... who are beings of pure evil and have zero reason to tell the truth to the daughter of their sworn enemies... I give up; the writing for this show is atrocious!!!!)
Anyway, my idea (haha, RIP my rewrite that was supposed to include this) was that Valtor sends the Trix in his place to fight Griffin, Saladin and Faragonda after he gives them some magic to help emulate his own and because they used to have the Dragon Fire, small sparks of which have remained inside them since it can never be extinguished. So Griffin ends up fighting Darcy and she still figures out the deception! Because YES, she fucking knows him and his magic! That is to say, I completely agree with your headcanon! (And seriously, he should have used the Trix! This is a perfect three-on-three battle opportunity and could have brought us back to the time when the Trix were an actual threat!)
#winx club#winx griffin#winx valtor#griffin x valtor#trix#ask#anon#wc rewrite#winx headcanons#i've already bitched about this but the fact that griffin didn't sense him in 3x10 when he popped up in her office is a crime#especially since in 2x17 she sense lucy outside her door and lucy wasn't even using any magic#valtor is infinitely more powerful and they used to be partners!#she should have instantly known he was there the second he stepped foot into ct#imagine the surge of power that would follow him everywhere#literally any magic user should be able to sense his presence because he's so goddamn powerful (fairy tail does this right)#he could of course be using a spell to mask his presence but fucking say that! it would have been a cool piece of world building

I’m watching one piece, and now I’m wondering do you have any hcs on the world building in the fairy tail universe ? Do you think theirs some crazy kingdom’s , advanced technology in some lands ? Love to hear your thoughts 💗
hmmmmmmmmmmm kinda a bit of a deep question tbh.
Structurally FT has good bones for its world. And that's kinda it lol
There's a fleshed out map of all the countries within the continent that fiore is found on (Ishgar, which has 16 named countries apart from fiore itself) and expanding wider than that we know that there are about 3 named continents (Ishgar to the east being a peninsula connected to the mainland that we know nothing of, Alakitasia to the west where Alavarez is and Guiltina to the north) and a fourth unnamed continent further east that exists within earthland.
But while we have all this info, nothing in particular comes into play as the series had progressed, the majority of the series' arcs all more or less take place within the same country, which for a series that has it's characters constantly travelling for missions looks particularly bad, especially when even the known locations all visually seem indistinct from each other in terms of stuff like architecture. It's a reason why I appreciate edolas in particular because it at least offered something that visually stood out and an insight into how that culture functioned. (and in Phoenix Priestess for the small montage the squad in the city of Rose Garden and showing a bit of the country Veronica)
Like it is frustrating to me whenever I think on it because the solution would be just to change the locations of where they travel to just to expand the background of the places travelled, wouldn't even have to change arc structures or anything to give some life to the named countries like:
Joya despite its small size as a country is the main manufacturers of trains and exports the majority of the transportation other countries use as well as weapons. Wizards are less found here, with treasure hunting being a more popular job choice.
Sin, despite the ironic name, is a deeply religious and faith driven country. Magics that have connection to nature and celestial bodies are particularly revered here.
Desierto mostly deals with trade, having constantly active shipping ports. Enchanted items such as brooms and carpets are popular and easy transport choices within cities and are more widely used than vehicles.
Iceberg's largely uninhabited due to the weather with most of the population sticking closer to the country's borders.
Like this is all just purely flavour text examples to just try and bring some life to these otherwise lifeless locations but you get the general gist of it.
There was clearly this effort to establish these locations by giving then names (and drawing a full on map) so it always boggled me that they were never properly used as a backdrop for the arcs within the story. (Tower of Heaven? Move that arc to Sin, Lucy's arc with Loke? Takes place in Stella, That arc with the giant village? Put it in Minstrel).
Like shifting around major arc locations would easily open up avenues to naturally expand the world as the story moves. And not even just big arcs, but smaller less grand filler arcs (which jesus christ did ft rlly need because it defs need breathing room between all the big events. It's why the story moves at such a breakneck speed without things really feeling as though they've changed in any meaningful ways) would do wonders to make earthland feel like a genuine lived in world (like how it is within the world of one piece that you cited as an inspo for this ask.)
#fairy tail#fairy tail headcanon#i know this ask probably was sent more in the vein of asking for headcanons about the different places#but i am firmly of the belief that if im going to fully rewrite and worldbuild for an existing series#i may as well just create my own thing yknow?#not to knock anyone else who does that ofc but full rewrites and complete changes to an established property arent really for me#bcus all that effort i think could be put into making my own series if i so choose#with regards to your citing of one piece#whilst similar in general tone one piece is purely built on establishing each location#taking time to learn the culture ppl and the political climate of each area#because it in turn feeds into the overarching theme of corruption within that story#so while in one piece it's necessary to know about each land for something lower scale like ft such heavy information#wouldnt be a necessity bcus it wouldnt help to further the base theme of found family and friendship#instead having it expounded on in small drops as the characters go about their jobs (or just general lives) would benefit the story as it i#while also being more than the bare minimum given to us by canon that we have#one piece is a great story with how its world is shaped but that scale is grand and isnt something that should be applied to every story#unless u got time like oda lol

Doodle of my Fairy Tail rewrite AU! With Lucy, Kai (Oc), Loke, Eridanus and Mard Geer
More brief info under the cut
This isn't really canon compliant at all, it's a rewrite and I make my own rules based on what I think is cool or on my feelings
It takes place after the one year Natsu was away and Fairy Tail disbanded, Lucy depended a lot on her spirits, being her only comfort and company. While she never gave up on Fairy Tail, and still loves her family so much, she grew resentment towards them (especially because of her grief), and when Fairy Tail is back together, after a while Lucy goes on a mission alone to organize her feelings better
There, she meets Kai, a Heavenly Body Magic user and a Celestial Magic User (that has only one silver key lol, but he cherishes it a lot), and very fast they become friends, talking and sharing about spirits and the stars
Kai joins Fairy Tail, and he makes a team with Lucy, while this all started so Lucy would resolve her feelings, she found herself happier with this new dynamic. Loke is, ofc, a big part of this rewrite and so are the other spirits, but he's always there to support Lucy and opening his own gate just to talk to her. I think it's so interesting that Loke is part of Fairy Tail, the leader of the zodiac spirits, the strongest losing only to the King himself, is part of the messiest guild in Fiore lmao, so he becomes part of their team too and goes on missions with them
Eridanus is, well, Lucy's whip! In this story, he gets banished (for reasons) but instead of becoming human, he falls inside the river he represents and gets locked inside the whip. Lucy gets him out, and sorts everything with King like she did when Loke needed her, now she can use Eridanus as a weapon, or 'summon' from inside the whip, but it takes a lot of magic from her. Eridanus acts a bit insane, sometimes too clingy, and he has no filter
Mard Geer is, well, a spirit! Similarly to Ophiuchus he's not part of the 12th zodiac. In this AU he doesn't die after Tartarus, and comes back to try to kill Lucy for ruining his plans. It's a fight with a lot of stakes, and then King appears (as a projection to not ruin the sacrifice that Aquarius and Lucy made) to banish him (Kings favorite thing to do) to the celestial world as a spirit, becoming a key, and having to work with his master, Lucy!
Mard Geer is extremely mad and unstable in the start, but after a while he starts appreciating his new life, because at least he's not dead! He has a funny dynamic with Lucy and Loke
That's it! In this au I want to explore Lucy's feelings and growth with magic, the spirits, heavenly body magic, and characters that aren't from Fairy Tail guild

Fairy Tail - RE:Script
Episode One: Hargeon
Chapters: 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 Previous Chapter | Next Chapter
Chapter 7
Another fist swung just passed Natsu’s face as he pulled back his own and smashed it into the face of his would-be attacker. Flesh and bones gave way under the force of it and flames shot forward to engulf the slave trader. Screams and incoherent babbling filled the air as the man ran flailing about, colliding with others.
Several others began panicking as their clothes caught on fire, or the burning fingers caught their skin and left red burns. The chaos that swept through the mass of sailors added to the pile of bloody, burnt bodies around him. Still, more continued to file in from the stairs and the darkness of the hull. The ship had not looked that large on the outside.
“Dammit, where’d you all keep comin’ from?!”
Another swung a plank of wood embedded with nails at him. A wave of fire turned it to ash and consumed the slaver. Natsu silently acknowledged the man’s self-preservation as he watched him drop to the ground and rolled around while screeching.
A quick glance around gave him the status he needed on the current situation. Most of the women who had not been thrown into the cages yet had been set to the side. Some of them just unconscious heaps on the floor while others were leaned against others. They were far enough away from the flames and fighting to stay safe. That was one problem he could worry about later.
Around him, though, were still a decently sized group of slavers. Bulky men who lived on the sea and were used to hauling around human-shaped goods. Some were eyeing the destruction around them in disquiet, while the rest resembled beasts whose territory you stumbled into. And what is a lone wizard if not something that stumbled where he shouldn’t have? “Whatcha all waitin’ for? Thought you were gonna to take me down?”
That got most of them of them going. Some still eyed the literal charred corpses that had been their shipmates, but they all had a joke to do and cargo to put away. All of them against one wizard had to favor the force with the larger numbers!
With a shout, they stepped forward together and charged.
Natsu grinned and took in a deep breath. Lungs and diaphragm expanding outward, and his hands came up to focus the core of his attack at the group coming at him. A burning hot stream of raging flames billowed out in a straight line, expanding out just past his pinkie finger.
The flames roared unhindered toward the stairs, consuming the men who had tried to sneak away while the others fought. Their screams filled the air with the smell of burning flesh and melting metal.
What the…Natsu blinked in confusion.
None of the men who had been charging at him mere seconds before remained. Not their shoes, bodies, or their ashes. He stepped forward to look for any sign of the missing men, ignoring the burning men.
Down one of the rows of cages, a large, imposing shadow slowly straightened up to tower over a pile of bodies and limbs gathered at his feet. Blood pooled on the ground beneath them, and some still twitched or groaned in pain. Without a care, the creature stomped on the pile and turned back to fix a glare at Natsu.
A shiver of fear actually crawled down his spine at the power he felt from the—beast? In better lighting, he noticed the stature, the weapon attached to his back, the height of him—at least seven feet tall, if not taller—and were those horns coming out of his head?
“Taurus!”
Natsu jumped at the shout behind him. Ninja-swinging his arms around, he relaxed when he saw Happy flying toward him carrying Lucy. He grinned, “Happy! Lucy!”
Dark, bloodshot eyes met his and filled with tears even as she smiled, “Natsu!”
Moving forward a step, his smile fell when he noticed the blood and bruises that covered her, and even noticed some poking out from under her clothes. Worse, from the scent alone he was certain that those were not the clothes she had been wearing before. His nose coiled up, and smoke seeped through clenched fangs. “Did these bastards do this to you?”
“W-what?” Lucy recoiled inward at the tone of his voice. It took a moment, then she remembered how she must have looked and wrapped her arms around herself, wishing for her sweatshirt. “Oh, y-yea. That Salamander guy…he is the one in charge of all of this.”
“You mean the fake Salamander,” he growled, fists clenched.
“Fake?”
Taurus stepped out of the dimly light section he had stampeded the men into and rolled his shoulders. They looked up at him, noticing the gore and remains left on his clothing and hooves. “Explanations later, we need to focus getting Miss Lucy to safety first. Her magic power is waning, and I am only able to supply so much of my own.”
“Right!” Natsu punched his fist against his palm, “I’m ready to kick more ass and teach that bastard a lesson!”
He led the way up the stairs, silently glad that Happy still carried Lucy over the heated metal where several fires still lingered, and listened to the loud clonks of Taurus taking up the rear behind them. The stairs led to one of the back hallways, a similar look to all the other ones he had run through earlier, and began maneuvering them to the outside area based off smell alone.
“Don’t worry, Lucy,” he called behind, finding a door that smelled strongly of the sea air outside, “we’ll get you off this boat!” Pressing against the metal door—Taurus’ loud clopping lagging behind due to his size, Natsu shoved it wide open and stumbled out of the hallway onto the deck of the ship.
Waiting for them, several more slave traders held various types of weapons from chains to clubs. Nothing designed to kill, but could inflict maximum damage.
“Dammit! How many of these bastards does this guy have?” Taking up a stance in front of Lucy and Happy, Natsu felt a flicker of satisfaction when Taurus stepped up beside him, axe at the ready.
“Not enough for my axe,” the bull snorted, steeling himself for the fight. “They will all perish for harming my mistress!”
Laughter cracked over the sound of waves, pulling everyone’s attention up to the deck in front of the wheelhouse. Standing in front of a large, blue Lacrima that hung on the wall between the wheelhouse windows was the very man who had caused all of their problems. Blood seeped from the bandages covering the mid-section of his face making the laughter sound more like a dolphin.
“I had heard that the real Salamander of Fairy Tail might come after me if I used his name,” Bora yelled down, voice a nasally pitch compared to the bass register he hit before. “Seems those rumors were correct! Come now, Salamander, let’s see your mark!”
Eyes narrowed, Natsu kept his attention on Bora and shrugged his shoulders, letting the straps of his bag slip. A heavy thunk filled the air with a somber feel and soon his coat fluttered down to cover the bag.
Using his name for slave trading, kidnapping Lucy, being complete scum…a list of crimes committed that filled pages of legal books. He refused to let him get away with more and cause more damage.
With both arms bare, only those to his right were able to see the crimson proof of the guild mark on his shoulder. An undisputable truth. One that made Lucy worried her lower lip and take Natsu in with a different light.
Not once had the salmon-haired man next to her seem like a typical ‘bad guy.’ Not like the man above them or those she had met before. Really, he had treated her well, with a sense of welcoming that not many offered those down on their luck. “You really are Salamander.”
“You didn’t know?” Bora’s voice sneered and he leaned forward over the railing. “Renown around the land after some good PR. But,” he lifted a crowbar up and grinned around the bandages, “he does have one simple weakness.”
Lacrima shards shattered and littered the deck as the metal bar slammed into it with enough force to crack the windows on either side. The once smooth sailing of the ship dipped and waves began to rock it back and forth—gently, but enough to feel a difference. Many of the men around them grew pale and green, but kept their stomachs.
Unfortunately for Natsu, no amount of peppermint covered cloth would help the sudden onslaught of motion sickness. Stomach rebelling, everything he had eaten early came up and splashed on the deck. A cold sweat broke out over his face and he fell to his knees as he hugged his stomach.
Lucy stared down at him as he withered around like a pathetic creature instead of the man she had meet earlier. Happy cried out in alarm.
“Oh no! Without that stabilizer, Natsu won’t be able to do anything!”
Below them, the growing hum of the engines began to rev up. They were preparing to move the ship again! Quickly, she took in the situation, the crumpled-up form of Natsu, the dissipating stores of her magic, and the men closing in around them. Drastic situations called for drastic measures.
“Taurus!” she called out to her spirit. “I need you to go back. Happy! I need you to get me to the water.”
“The water?”
“Yes, please!”
“Aye, sir!” Without explanation or more questions, Taurus closed his gate as Happy flew them up into the air above the heads of the men below. Some switched at Lucy’s bare feet while others rushed at Natsu and began kicking and punching him without remorse.
“Hurry, Happy!”
Purple flames slammed into Happy’s back like a whip. The poor cat cried out in pain and his paws loosened. Lucy screamed as her body fell onto several shoulders and then the hard deck of the ship. Pain erupted through her body and was reminded vividly of all of her previous injuries.
Just briefly, she watched as Happy’s continued momentum of flying and being stuck sent him falling over the other side of the railing. From the noise of the sailors, the rocking of the ship, and the roaring in her own ears, she couldn’t tell if he had hit the water or not.
“Happy!” she cried out, pushing herself up and away from the mass of people. No hands grabbed at her, and the stuttered rumbling below sounded like the ship still struggled to move. If the propellers weren’t functioning, that meant she could get into the water and grab Happy. They wouldn’t have to worry about getting pulled in by the propellers or chopped up.
No matter what, she had to get to the water!
A pair of hands grabbed her. The straps of her pack ripped loudly and it was thrown somewhere else. Those same hands frisked over her body and a familiar weight fell with a jingle to the deck.
Her keys. Her keys!
Crying out in pain, one of her arms were pulled up behind her back, forcing her up onto her toes to try to relieve the building pressure. The arm that wrapped around her chest and reached up to grip its hand around her neck didn’t help, either.
“Where do you think you were going?” Bora’s breath blew over her ear and he bent her arm up further. A chuckle mingled with her cries. “I still need to show you my gratitude—” A loud pop sounded before her scream of pain from her shoulder, “—of your little stunt earlier.”
“Lucy!” Natsu’s voice called through the blows of the men around him. With the stabilizer gone, and the crew attacking him, he could do nothing to help himself or her. And Happy had fallen limp over the side of the ship.
Heated shame and anger flushed over his skin. They had come to save her, dammit!
Hot tears-stained Lucy’s cheeks. Nothing around her registered—the rapid beating of her heart, the sound of waves in her ears, the constant rolling of the ship and her stomach…only the burning feel of Bora’s hand slipping from her neck down her chest broke through what panic had taken over. Desperate to escape, to find a way back to safety.
Since finding herself on the streets, all of her spirits had sought to ensure she could manage in the real world alone. No servants would be there to bring her food or clothes. Tutors would not teach her lessons that would prepare her for running her father’s business. Guards would not be there to keep her safe. They stepped up and took over her teachings.
The grip on her wrist released and moved to her hip.
It was time to put it all to use.
Pressing her tongue to the top of her mouth, she snapped her head back. Flesh and bone slammed against the back of her head. Reflexes took over, and even barefooted, she raised her leg up and stomped her heel down on the top of his foot.
Bora’s hands pulled back, gripping his bloody bandages with a muffled cry of pain, and released her from his grip. Scrambling over the deck, Lucy grabbed for her keys and did not stop her movement as the delicate metal pressed against the skin of her palm or when the cold railing of the ship pressed against her stomach as she tumbled over the edge.
A sense of weightlessness overcame her. Air brushed her hair upwards with her tears and stole the breath from her lungs. It made taking a deep breath difficult as the water surface of the ocean engulfed her completely.
Cold.
It was so cold!
Toes curled inward and her limbs pulled inward to keep what warmth she had in her core and biting the inside of her cheeks, Lucy struggled desperately to keep her hand over her nose and mouth. To keep them closed and not take the desperate gasp of air her lungs ached for.
Salt burned her eyes the moment she tried to take a glance around her, hoping to catch a glimpse of Happy or figure out which way was up. Desperation clutched her chest tighter, an ache blooming into an open wound that seeped bubbles instead of blood. Then a realization dawned on her, one that sent bile racing up her esophagus and irritation.
Her arm was useless.
Out of socket and blinding when moved, Lucy had willingly sentenced herself to drown by way of barely being able to handle the ocean depths. Of all the ways to die, this would be the most pathetic, the worst to live with.
Good thing if she did die, she wouldn’t have to live with it long.
A blurred shimmer caught her attention. Something near the bottom, just a small way from her. Whatever it was, she needed to make sure it wasn’t Happy. They had risked their lives to save her, and she wouldn’t fail them when it was her turn.
Pushing past the pain and the claws ripping apart her chest cavity, she pushed herself forward with a few good kicks of her legs and used her good arm to steer towards it. There, the poor cat bobbed near the bottom of the ocean, tangled up in old fishing line. Metal hooks and weights cut dances of light through the water.
Another set of icy fingers gripped her lungs. Happy looked so still! How long had he been wrapped up in the netting? How would she get him out?
There was one of her spirits she knew could cut the lines easily, but her magic reserves only allowed for one more summons.
Pursing her lips together, she kicked harder to get down to him and began to pull at the litter. One arm slipped out, but his left arm remained tangled. Bubbles rose up from her lips. Gathering him in her injured arm, she pulled the coral and vegetation from the sea floor up with the tangled mess.
Lungs burning, she gathered all the netting together and used the sea floor to push herself toward the surface. More bubbles rose up from her blue-tinted lips that begged for a touch of fresh air. The added weight of Happy and the fishing line around him dragged her downward. Each limb desperately wished for a break to rest; her body exhausted.
Air greeted her fingertips. Her head broke the surface and she gasped desperately for each lungful. Waves splashed against her face, and her legs struggled to keep her above the waves.
Stretching out her good arm, she let out a deep breath, focusing her magic. Wisps of power poured from her hand and swirled around the key in her grasp. A light similar to that of the sun enveloped her and she shouted, “Aquarius!”

Author's Note:
Is this chapter severely late? Yes, yes it is. Has it been finished since I started posting this fic? Also yes, BUT it was not edited, and I have been having a hell of a time focusing on editing for awhile.
Should only have one last chapter to go, and then Episode One will be complete! I just need to edit it (and I would post it without editing, but many things changed during the edits, and continuity errors are my biggest pet peeves, lol). I have started Episode Two, but I have been going different ways with it. Not sure which way I will end up going, though. And if we want things done quickly...editing might be out of the cards for now, lol.
I am also hoping to get a Fraxus story out before the end of this month. Just need to finish editing it a bit more, and then write up the smut!

Speaking of which did you have any other ideas for the other main characters like Team Natsu? I'm really curious to see how your Gray interacts with Juvia in this and how you made their relationship more concrete.
Also did you have any other platonic or romantic pairings in mind that we don't really see in the anime?
Akfbskf I saw!! I'm so glad you like my ideas, I always get a little nervous when I post about changing character dynamics because I've been spoken to,,,,,, not super nicely about my perception of character dynamics and how I change them sometimes
I've got a lot of thoughts all the time, but let me answer your questions A bit!
Did you have any other ideas for main characters like Natsu?
Tons!! I dont even really know where to begin talking about our main cast, there's so many individual ideas for each of them
But I can say that they all learn/teach each other's magic to each other, with varying levels of success
Natsu having the most success learning Lucy's celestial magic, Lucy having the most learning Erza's requip magic, Gray to everyone's surprise coming the closest to learning Natsu's Dragon Slayer magic, and Erza having the most succes with Gray's maker magic
I'm really curious to see how your Gray interacts with Juvia
It's very similar to his dynamic with Lucy for the most part! But sometimes, it's also like
And Juvia will repeat herself with no hesitation, and Gray gets really embarrassed and either walks away or starts an argument depending on how many other people are around or what people they are
Did you have any other platonic or romantic pairings in mind we didn't really see in the anime?
Well, as I'm sure you saw because you went through my blog, I would absolutely kill to see a Natsu/Juvia team up, so yeah, I was thinking about that duo for this
It was mostly pretty silly-- not really knowing how to talk to each other, but managing to enjoy each other's company because Juvia can kind of bring Natsu down a bit when hes getting too worked up, and Natsu can get Juvia passionate about something she would have otherwise been indifferent to
I think I also mentioned back on the post asking about Gajeel and Juvia in particular, but I talked about Gajeel forming a bond with the Strauss siblings-- he's like the 4th sibling they never wanted (affectionate)
And even though they were kind of shown in the anime, I really wanted to explore the dynamic between Erza and Wendy more, as well as the relationship between the 3 exceeds
I think Wendy and Happy are particularly fascinating as characters, because their magic is clearly intended for support, and they're surrounded by people who can do more, even in the case of Happy with the other exceeds who can perform transformation magic and be able to put up a fight, which is why I wanted to explore the dynamics I'd mentioned haha
I'd also really like to take a bigger dive into Lucy's relationships with her spirits! Especially since one of the things that bothered me was the way the celestial spirit system worked! I had some ideas for Aries and Virgo in particular for little mini arcs, similar to the ones we got for Loke and Aquarius, and how Lucy buids her trust and relationship with the spirits who's keys she holds-- I don't wanna share goo much about that though, I actually have some really cool art pieces in progress about them and I wanted to wait to talk about exploring those dynamics more until I got there
I'd love to show you the thumbnail for one of them though
You'll have to guess which one it is /j

fairy tail characters who are non-human bc i said so ⬇️
obviously not including canonical non human characters like the exceeds and the spirits
All the dragonslayers, though they are human based
would include zeref here bc he’s a dragonslayer in my rewrite, but his curse keeps him from physically changing/developing any dragon seeds, so he’s still 100% human
Natsu in general because he’s a demon
Erza is part dragon in my rewrite
The Strauss Sibs, but again, they are human based
really love the idea of Take Over mages becoming what they take over, so yeah. They each have characteristics based on their respective magics.
Evergreen is part faerie in my rewrite, a descendant of the Tenroujima clan of Faeries
which is why her wings are real in my rewrite
Millianna thanks to experimentation in the TOH, she is half cat
Toby from Lamia Scale! He’s a lycan from a village that was destroyed by Deliora
Minerva is a demon
Gray is part demon because of his Devil Slayer magic

Yeah so with the set up of galuna Island here's my idea for how I'd change it to remove the need for erza.
We can keep Laxus antagonizing Natsu without Erza being there. I think the scene works as his introduction.
The quest itself is S-class recommended but not required. Makarov initially gives it to levy for her ability to read script Magic and dead languages. Team shadowgear specializes in more technical/historical quests in this version.
Levy asks team natsu to come along with team shadowgear because she's always one to be overprepared and doesn't want to take chances on anything happening. She's good at writing script to protect from certain curses but is concerned about other challenges they might face.
We get a build up over the arc of Lucy and Levy's friendship as well as what less damage based/explosive magic is capable of when the usage is thought out.
For the actual content of the arc itself I'm only starting the rewatch so I can't say how I'd alter the fights yet. But those are my current thoughts.
