With Teammates Like These, Who Needs Friends? (1/5)
Summary: Clover doesn't care what the other Ace Ops have to say, he absolutely does NOT have a crush on Huntsman Branwen. He just admires his skill on the battlefield. And the visible results of his obviously-excellent training regiment. And his gorgeous eyes. And his mysterious demeanor. And voice.
Okay, Clover might have just a little bit of a crush on Huntsman Branwen, but that doesn't matter, because if the other Ace Ops are going to tease him relentlessly for it, then he just won't pursue any relationship with the guy!
...Maybe.
Warnings: None, really, for this chapter. Death mention in the context of a joke. Gratuitous bullying of teammates. Spoilers for RWBY Volume 7.
AO3 Link: [X]
Notes:  Hey, so... I haven't really written for fun in over four years. Which. Is pretty crazy to think about. But my New Year's Resolution this year is to get back into it because it used to make me really happy. With that said, I'm pretty rusty nowadays, so I'm sorry if any of this reads a little awkwardly. I'm hoping to get back to the level I used to be at with some practice, but I know it'll take time. This fic is mainly my effort at shaking the dust off with my current favorite show and favorite ship.  I hope you all enjoy! Please like, reblog, and comment if you have the time to do so, I'd really appreciate some encouragement while I get back into the swing of things! FAIR GAME RIGHTS!!
---
Clover can’t say that he isn’t expecting it, but even he is a little taken by surprise when, only mere seconds after closing the door to the Ace Ops’ commons, a heavy hand lands on his shoulder and spins him around with enough force to make him dizzy.
Elm’s ecstatic face immediately fills his entire field of vision.
Oh, Brothers.
“Clover!”
He attempts to wave her off, feeling his face grow hot. “I’m trying to head to bed, Elm. Gotta be up bright and early tomorrow, you know.”
Her shit-eating grin only grows larger. Her vice-grip tightens. He will not be escaping any time soon. His death warrant is signed and hidden somewhere in the mess that Elm calls her quarters.
Elm manhandles him to the couch and shoves him down to sit, then flops down next to him and tosses her wrapped feet onto the coffee table.
He wrinkles his nose. “Elm, please. I’ve talked to you about your feet and the table.”
Ignoring him (as she so often does) Elm simply continues to grin smugly at him. “Who would’ve thought?! Our very own captain!”
Clover rolls his eyes in what he hopes to be a clear sign of his exasperation.
“Elm, what are you even talking about?” Marrow pipes up from where he is leaning against the wall. His arms are crossed over his chest in a deliberate attempt to appear uninterested, though his faintly wagging tail gives him away. Clover hadn’t even noticed him until he’d spoken.
Looking around, he realizes that all of his subordinates are standing about the room, watching the interaction with varying degrees of interest. Just great. He considers whether or not it would be worth it to attempt to preemptively write Elm up for not-yet-conducted insubordination.
Hm. He probably isn’t allowed to do that.
He startles as Elm yanks her feet off the table next to him, instead throwing herself forward so she can bang her fist against the helpless furniture to punctuate her next statement, “Our captain has a crush on Huntsman Branwen!”
“Elm,” Harriet sighs, “stop being an idiot. Again. You know that he--”
Clover pulls himself away from Elm and her interrogation couch. He stands up, straight-backed, falling into a parade rest that has his shoulders held just a little too tightly to his ears, positive that his face is red. “That’s enough,” he orders, voice as firm as he can make it, “what I do is none of your concern, Elm. Nor anyone else’s. This conversation is… unprofessional, to say the least. And it’s over.”
Rather than be appropriately cowed by his scolding, Elm only flashes him an even bigger smile. On the other side of the room, Harriet makes a choking sound and starts to sputter, “Holy shit, you are--!”
Elm jumps to her feet, swinging a muscular arm over his shoulders. “I think you mean ‘who you do,’ Captain!”
Clover shrugs her off, scowling. “Elm!” His mind races, attempting to formulate a way to escape this horrible situation, but it seems that no amount of luck is getting him out of this one.
“Well,” Vine rubs speculatively at his chin, finally deciding to contribute something to this dumpster-fire of a conversation, and Clover makes the split-second mistake of hoping that he will be the voice of reason to shut the whole thing down, “you can hardly blame our captain. Huntsman Branwen is, objectively, quite conventionally attractive. Not to mention his skill-level and renown in the field and all of the good he has done in the ongoing battle against Salem….”
Clover feels his soul die a little.
“You’ve gotta be kidding me!” Marrow throws his hands up in the air, his tail raised in visible agitation. “What are we, a buncha kids? You’ve known the guy for five minutes!”
Elm laughs uproariously, “And he stared at Huntsman Branwen for all five! Not to mention the extra twenty seconds when he was watching him walk away!”
Harriet gags. She looks incredibly annoyed and vaguely disgusted at this turn of events.
“That really is enough--!” Clover tries.
“Really?” Vine tilts his head, coming a few steps closer. He peers at Clover in a speculative manner. “It seems to me that it would be difficult to catch a glimpse of Huntsman Branwen’s posterior, considering that the cape he wears covers it quite effectively. Are you sure, Elm, that that is what Clover was doing?”
“Haha!” Elm raises her hand for a high-five, which her partner passively returns.
Clover is sure his skin-tone must faintly resemble that of the Atlas Academy mess hall’s tomato soup by now. He had not been staring at Huntsman Branwen’s ass. Even if he were interested in Qrow Branwen like that, he’s too much of a gentleman to do such a thing. Besides, there were plenty of other attractive aspects of Huntsman Branwen to focus on without having to drool over his “posterior” like some sort of mangy grimm. Like his soft vermillion eyes; or his trim waist; or his hair, which looked like the shining feathers of his namesake; or his elegant hands, undoubtedly calloused from so many years of handling his weapon so skillfully…. He swallows hard and feels his face flare up anew as he realizes what train of thought he’d been taking.
Looking up, he catches Elm smirking at him again. Marrow and Harriet have near-matching expressions of distaste. Vine is merely studying him with even more interest than before.
He opens his mouth to retaliate, only for Vine to cut him off, clasping his hands behind his back in a move so prim that it leaves Clover completely unprepared for what he says next: “I believe our captain was just lost in thought about Huntsman Branwen’s posterior again.”
Clover coughs hard, choking on his own spit. Vaguely, he registers the sound of Elm exploding into further laughter at his expense.
“Oh, ew, ew, ew!” Marrow covers his ears, baring his teeth at Vine and Elm and probably also Clover.
Harriet simply glowers at all of them, “I did not need to know that.”
After a moment, Clover pulls himself together. He glares at his attackers, “Elm,” he snarls, “Vine.”
Vine takes an even step back, cocking his head inquisitively, “I apologize, did I say something incorrect?”
Elm loops her bicep around her partner’s neck in a pseudo-chokehold that he makes no attempt to remove himself from. “No, Vine, but I believe that’s our cue to leave!” She extricates herself from him and once again brings her hand down hard on Clover’s shoulder, having apparently never learned that it isn’t wise to poke an angry bear. “Don’t worry, boss, I’ll make sure to keep an extra eye out for your little bird!” She winks and pats him a few times with enough force to jolt his entire upper torso. “Though I’m sure you’ll already have that handled!”
Then, in a blink, she has removed herself from the room, Vine following behind her at a more sedate pace.
They are going to be facing so much disciplinary action, Clover thinks furiously. They will be scrubbing the floors for months. He turns to face Harriet and Marrow, who are somehow still in the room, staring at him. He crosses his arms firmly over his chest, “Do either of you have something to add?”
Marrow merely shakes his head and turns tail to leave.
Harriet looks him over for a moment longer, then makes a sharp tsk’ing sound with her tongue. “Gross.”
She spins on her heel and walks down the hallway that leads to each of their personal rooms.
Clover sighs heavily and plops back down on the couch. It is going to be a long however-many-months with Huntsman Branwen and his students here.
Still, he can certainly make it easier on himself by avoiding working with the other man. Even if he is incredibly attractive….
(No! Bad Clover!)
Everything will go over much more smoothly if he just isn’t seen staring at or talking to or even vaguely thinking about Huntsman Branwen from here on out.
---
More Notes: So, that was the first chapter! I hope you liked it and that it made your day a little brighter :)
The first installment is already completely finished minus some light editing. Stuff from here on out will probably be formatted as oneshots rather than chaptered fics, but I wanted this first part to be a bit longer and explore the very beginnings of our boys' relationship, with particular emphasis on Clover being a Secret Gay Disaster. Is that actually my headcanon for the show? Nah. Is that what this fic turned into? Absolutely.
Anyway, I'm currently deciding whether I want to post one chapter everyday for the next four days to finish this story up or if I want to post every other day. If anyone has any opinions on that, I'd be glad to hear them.

Full text:
Hi everyone! This edition of my Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ Roadmap offers a first look at the upcoming direction for the game, provides a brief review of our last few months, and offers insight into what you can expect for the remainder of this year. I look forward to hearing your feedback and reading your comments about our Roadmap.
As the Lead Producer, I feel like it bears repeating our team’s priority is to continue providing great story-driven gameplay along with multiplayer Star Wars™ content. Most importantly, we want to ensure everyone, including those who prefer solo activities, has an enjoyable experience every time you play our game. To help make this happen, we believe it’s the right time for our galaxy to come together.
UNITED FORCES CAMPAIGN Starting on October 10th and through a series of updates through November 28th, we’re making improvements to the way players come together in multiplayer experiences that make everything more accessible, convenient, and rewarding. We’ve outlined United Forces in the announcement blog where we describe the changes that help you find other like-minded players to join in group gameplay at almost any time, reinvigorating the fun of playing multiplayer. As part of this rollout, we have made a substantial investment in hardware, software, and network infrastructure to dramatically improve our service and make your experience awesome. I’m very excited about these improvements, so be sure to check out the blog and FAQs to find out more and get ready to come together in the United Forces Campaign.
Here’s the upcoming rollout schedule: October 10, 2017 – Game Update 5.5 – United Forces Foundation – in addition to a variety of Quality of Life (QoL) improvements, this update includes the underlying foundational structural changes needed to support United Forces.
October 24, 2017 – United Forces Formation – on this day, the game will be unavailable for an extended time as we’ll be setting up the formation of the campaign, replacing existing hardware and software with all the new Game Servers and supporting components. It will also include additional changes needed to support the deployment of the United Forces update.
November 8, 2017 – United Forces Update is rolled out and everyone moves to five new servers with new names as follows: Two servers in North America and three servers in Europe – one each of English, French, and German. You can expect extended downtime as we make the final improvements to the Server environments. Check the blog and FAQs to discover our new Server names.
November 28, 2017 – Game Update 5.6 – A Traitor Among the Chiss becomes available and includes something new for everyone!
GAMEPLAY DIRECTION
Over the past several months, we delivered the first two Boss Encounters of a new Operation, ‘Gods from the Machine,’ brought back Companions, made huge changes to improve the balance across our Classes, deployed two new Galactic Strongholds, revived the Nar Shaddaa Nightlife event, made the Galactic Starfighter (GSF) space combat experience even more rewarding, and most recently, revealed a traitor in your Alliance through a new Flashpoint. We’ve also made quite a few Quality of Life improvements, adding new character and legacy perks, increasing the ease of gaining Influence with your Companions, and enabling the ability to summon your Companion while moving. Based on the feedback we’ve seen on our forums, fan sites and social channels, we still have lots more to deliver. On November 28th, following the United Forces update, we are going to release our biggest multiplayer update of the year. We’ve got something for everyone! If you like story-driven Star Wars-style battles, you can jump into a new Flashpoint, ‘A Traitor Among the Chiss.’ If you like blasters-blazing big boss battles, get ready to face Nahut, the 3rd Boss encounter in the ‘Gods from the Machine’ Operation. For those of you looking for dogfighting in space, we are releasing a new Galactic Starfighter map that places you around the orbit of Iokath. For those who want to face off in PvP, we’ve got a new location for you, too. Plus, the update will include a multitude of additional features. My favorites include an enhanced Group Finder that makes grouping up quick and easy, Legacy bank improvements, a means of boosting a character to Level 70, and some cool United Forces rewards. We are also hard at work on features planned for early 2018, including overhauling the Conquest system with a stronger focus on Daily Activities and giving all guilds and players access to some great rewards. As you can see, we want all our players to benefit from the variety of new gameplay that’s coming. It’s going to take us a couple months to bring it all to you, but it’s also going to be fun discussing the updates, answering your questions, addressing your concerns, and watching your reactions. We will make our 6th year very memorable!
Story and Companions In our most recent Crisis on Umbara update (Game Update 5.4), players faced a deadly decision for your Alliance as you were forced to track down a traitor in your midst! There’s been lots of speculation about why this has happened, why anyone would betray the Alliance, and how we could allow such a horrible situation to occur. We know how impactful this has been on you, so perhaps knowing the story transitions to the Chiss on the planet Copero will give you a bit of insight as to what may happen on November 28 in A Traitor Among the Chiss (Game Update 5.6)! Although I won’t reveal where things are going after that, I can confirm that the thrilling conclusion to this chapter of the story is coming early next year… on a planet you probably wouldn’t expect to return to.
We know Companions make this game feel totally different while pulling on your emotions and making conversations exciting, frustrating, and extremely entertaining. We’ve given you the ability to customize many of them including Theron, Lana, Shae, Koth, and Senya, while at the same time changed how some interact with you. We continue to discuss ways of reintroducing you to your original Companions and will be returning several of them over the coming months. As we did with Crew Skill Missions, we’ll look to improve how you gain Influence with your Companions to increase their overall effectiveness.
Galactic Command
Since its introduction back with Knight of the Eternal Throne (Game Update 5.0 – KOTET), ranking through Galactic Command and upgrading your gear has remained controversial. We’ve made substantial improvements such as adding Gear Tokens in Operations, increasing Command XP (CXP) throughout the game, improved the drop rate for higher level gear, eliminated green drops for Tier 4, added set bonus stats to Prototype Tier 4 (Blue) gear, allowed you to purchase a full Tier 1 bonus set with command tokens, and enabled the ability to directly upgrade your gear with Unassembled Components. Based on your most recent feedback we are going to make additional changes which include the following: -Galactic Crate content improvements – we’re adding another slot in each crate that, no matter what Tier you’re in, grants a small chance to receive a higher tier Mod/Enhancement, Grand Chance Cube, CXP Buff, or CXP consumable. -Legacy Perk – For each character that reaches Command Rank 300, we will automatically add an additional 25% bonus CXP to your entire Legacy up to a maximum of 100%. You do need to purchase the initial 25% perk, but the additional 75% will be free. And, YES, this Perk is retroactive, so you will immediately benefit once we deliver United Forces Foundation. CXP for all areas of the game is in review – as some players experienced with the Planetary Daily Areas, increased CXP makes us happier, so that’s our plan for all areas throughout the game and will coincide with A Traitor Among the Chiss update.
Also with A Traitor Among the Chiss, we’re changing how Disintegrate works – instead of receiving more CXP, we will provide you with Unassembled Components for armor and weapons. In addition, you can send those components to any character in your Legacy as we’re changing these to be Legacy-bound consumables. Please note we will not introduce a new set of Tier gear for Galactic Command this year! Instead, we will be offering a special set of Augments to enhance your existing gear. These will drop in the Copero Flashpoint or can be purchased from a Copero vendor. In addition, we’ll offer an even better version of augments you can craft from materials gained through both PvP and PvE activities.
Operations We will continue to use our Public Test Server to get your feedback on each Boss encounter. We are in the process of finalizing Nahut, The Son of Shadow, who has new mechanics that will make the fight very entertaining for everyone yet very challenging for our most veteran of players. Next month, we’ll begin testing our 4th Boss encounter, Scyva, who will also deliver new mechanics to give progression groups a major challenge while getting them ready for the final Boss encounter with Izax. You can expect Izax will not go down easily and will be the most exciting encounter for ‘Gods from the Machine.’ Both Scyva and Izax will be made available in early 2018 and for those of you who enjoy the ultimate level of challenge. Our plan is to follow up with Master Modes of each boss fight, too. Beginning with United Forces Foundation, we’ll begin to include Unassembled Components as rewards on Master Mode Operation Boss encounters. This will allow players who gather enough components to directly upgrade their Tier gear pieces.
Class Balancing and Gameplay Experiences Some of the most impactful and controversial changes we made recently were those related to Class Balancing. Over the past few months we also determined many areas of the game were also imbalanced. Over the coming months, we’ll continue to refine Advanced Classes and adjust various World Bosses, plus Boss encounters in Flashpoints and Operations to ensure you can play whatever character desired.
Player versus Player (PvP) Starting with United Forces Foundation, we are increasing Bolster to 242 for non-ranked Warzones and Arenas which doesn’t remove the gear chase, but gives everyone a fighting chance. It still gives those who have made the effort to get Tier 4 gear to benefit from their time investment. Since many of us like to PvP on a variety of characters, with A Traitor Among the Chiss update (Game Update 5.6), your Unassembled Components will become legacy-bound. Now you can focus your entire Legacy on gearing up one or more characters a lot faster. In addition, we will release a new PvP map along with a new Galactic Starfighter map located in orbit above Iokath. In United Forces Foundation (Game Update 5.5), we will introduce extensive ship and component balance changes to Galactic Starfighter. Additionally, we will be adding some quality of life improvements to GSF.
Quality of Life As a reminder, Quality of Life (QoL) is a term we use to reference improvements we make to enhance your gameplay experience. QoL improvements include changes to existing game systems, improvements to the User Interface, simplifying ways to do things in-game, increasing the speed of mounts, adding Legacy Perks, and more. A cool change we are delivering with A Traitor Among the Chiss is the ability to add Credits to your Legacy Bank. You will retain the ability to have credits on your character, so this will work very similarly to how you use your Guild Bank, but it’s for all your Legacy characters. After reviewing your feedback, we decided to limit currency changes to Credits and Unassembled Components as those provide the most positive and impactful change.
SCHEDULE Here’s the plan for the remainder of this calendar year:

Quality of Life changes -Star Wars: The Old Republic Six Year Anniversary Celebration! -Wookiee Life Day Celebration begins
A Look Ahead to Early 2018 And, just a few tidbits about what’s right around the corner: -The conclusion to this chapter of the story is coming where the Traitor reveals his true plan once and for all via a new Flashpoint -The final bosses and details about Master Mode for Gods from the Machine Operation -An upgraded Conquest system and new Daily Activity system with great rewards -More multiplayer gameplay experiences for both PvP and PvE
PLAYER COMMUNICATION Over the past few months we have worked to increase communication and transparency. The amount of feedback and input I have received from you as part of this process is overwhelming and humbling. I feel proud to be at the helm of a game that has such dedicated fans. We make games because we love to watch the fun and competition they bring to gamers like us. Thank you for listening, reading and responding and please continue to share your feedback with us on the forums, on Reddit, on social media and on other fan sites. We value your comments and we are listening! The next Roadmap update will arrive in the early part of 2018 and will highlight the changes we plan through subsequent months. I’ll leave you with this quote as it sounds like me: “I’m not one to dismiss an idea just because it sounds a little crazy.’ —Sith Inquisitor, in a conversation with Talos Drellik.

The difference will be puzzling : Intro.
Tumblr media
Okay, so I don’t use this tumblr very much, but I do like to write and document certain things because it’s always fun to keep track of things and look back to them to see where you’ve gotten. I’m going to be using this a space to keep track of ideas, progression, and achievements (both reached and planned)  that I have for one of my favorite games Puzzles and Dragons.
So what is Puzzle and dragons?
it’s a Japanese mobile game that’s been popular both here and japan for the past 5 years. I’ve been playing it for not that long (maybe like 3, collectively), but it has always been a game I return to. It’s a game I enjoy very much, combining collecting, progression, and excellent artwork.
So where am I at on this?
So far, I’m here:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
My box is... A bit of a mess. It’s good and terrible at the same time, at least that’s how I feel when I look at it. Obviously, the strongest part of the box are my red cards. I have a pretty functional Awoken Krishna team that has cleared a lot of content for me, and I’m sure can continue to do so. Having the cards that I do, I can pretty much take any dungeon on with some minor modifications to the team in order to get through certain areas and floors of a dungeon I might have trouble with. Standard team I use (which was just on there at the time It took this screenshot) looks like this.
Tumblr media
I think this team in itself is pretty strong just for the fact that I have Two Yamato (one being new years). I use to see Optimal Krishna teams run two Yamato anyway, So when I pulled the new years one, I figured it would make a nice substitute, being almost the something while also providing a boost when playing in co-op mode ( which I do not do much of). Shiva is there to add more health and damage to the team, and breaking any kind of high defenses I run into, along with having really good awakenings, but really his slot on this team is meant to be switched to what ever I need at the time. If I take anything out of the team first, it would be him first. Lastly, I have Sanada, because he’s amazing Krishna sub, providing fire and heart to he board just like yamato, and getting rid of the most useless orbs in the game: Blue. - I’ll explain that bit later.
Anyway, as much utility I can crank out of my fire box, a lot of the things I have in there are not developed well enough to take them into higher end game content. I have Tsubaki, and the wrong evolution of Cao Cao now, so I need to work on those to make them a little more applicable to what I need.  Set is useless, but I’ve got a sweet spot for that card for some reason, providing a crazy amount of health, and being one hell of a tank, but after hearing he was getting another evolution, I was pretty happy I kept him. Uriel was obtained at the poor execution of trying to construct Xiang Mei team (oh god, that was a horrible idea.) but with krishna being good, at least I get some good uses. Suzaku is a must have card that should be maxed, and I have no idea how to go about her. I see the value, but nothing too demanding, so I tell myself I’ll get to her, but then I never do.
So blue. I’d show you my blue team, but I don’t have any, because I think blue is a terrible color in any game and I refuse to play it. The only thing that will change my mind and investment into that side of my box is if Karin becomes a crazy good lead specifically With Skuld, Sun Quan, And Isis, and that just sounds god awful already, so lets just stop talking about it and move on to my next best color: Green.
Tumblr media
Do you count it as green if it’s more rainbow-style?
This is the team I am currently using to clear all the content that’s thrown at me. Yes I know, I am missing Kaede, BUT I HAVE RAGDRAGON AND ROZUEL , HOW CAN I NOT PLAY THIS TEAM, IT’S LIKE HELLA FUCKING GOOD AND SO GO DAMN STRONG.
Enough with the yelling, How am I dealing with this? well instead of bringing Kaede (which I swear I had and probably just sold to try and get some MP or what ever) I turn those slots into something that can used for utility. Is it more system-ey that works for a Heart-Cross rainbow team? No, but Ronove’s active is so short that with maybe a little more patience, a little more control ( and a shit ton of luck) you can get by with enough tankines and damage to get you through almost anything. RagDrag offers A full rainbow board change and Rozuel offers more consistency to obtain hearts in a lesser used color like Light. Yes, Ra is a light, but He gives me another second of orb movement, unbind-able, Protection from Blind attacks, and servers a nearly identical purpose to shield smashing. Even if I don’t get the kill with the 77777 Damage, the extra orb extension from his active allows me get those high damage numbers. What’s my further plans with this team? Well, I was going to try and get a second RagDrag to make up for not having Kaede as I’ve seen teams sort of get by on that. Wont be good for maybe challenge one shot runs, or maybe even arena runs because Sophidet is a bitch that shouldn’t exist, but other than those, team will get me through pretty much everything. With the addition of skill inheritance extending to some Decent monsters (most notably Scarlet, Gainaut and Linthia) this will allow a much wider pool of subs, while still having access to really good actives that could provide optimal bored for Ronove. Will he still be Relevant by then? Probably not, but look at this dude, how can you not play him?

As  mentioned, Gainaut, Scarlet are still good subs for Ronove. I want to make a farm-able team with those two monsters having a constant rainbow board accessible to me.
Edit: It was in between me writing this entry and the last godfest that just happened on the 28th of febuary thAT I PULLED A GOD DAMN KAEDE.

As you can tell by the use of gifs, I’m pretty excited about this. This makes my Ronove team nearly relevant with the Inclusion of Visnhua. I didn’t notice until today, but I invested so much into this team that really, it’s probably my strongest team I have currently available to me. Obviously Krishna might be used still for longer and more sustainable clears, but having the way the team is now (Ronove / Ragdrag / Vishnu / Keade / Rozuel Ronove) Can clear me through most things. Granted, I’m still not to great at heart-cross teams, but at one point I also thought that it would be impossible to learn how to play a rainbow team at all without stacking. Here’s being hopeful that I’ll stop sucking the more I play on with this play-style.
So what’s the new direction? continue to hyper max every member of it. Ronove is done, Ragdrag and Vishnu are a skill up or two away, and Kaede is already 297′ed, but still requires her full trail of skill ups to really get some amazing value out of her. Poor Rozuel, having the least amount of attention, but that all goes back to my red box just being under developed in itself. Since she’s the last to be 297′ed I’ll make it more apparent in the coming weeks to give him more to contribute more to the team. Her active is really just there to fix awkward situations which doesn’t seem to happen very often, but is always better to have a solution then stall out of a problem.
Alright enough fan-girling about green, let’s move on to my other colors: Black and White.
Why together? because I want to post this already and I don’t have much things to say about this part of my box anyway.
Both parts of the box have just been there to fill space for any other teams I’ve had for the past few years. Ra filled in for Kaede, Chocobo fills in for D.Kali, Batman fills in for Echidna, yada yada yada, what ever. Neither Color really has any focus much like the blue part of my box, but I do have intrest and plans for them.
I got really good at stacking, so maybe Ra might come up and become another contender for a light based rainbow lead, but if I ever get to that point, why am I not just playing Myr, or Ra-Dragon? Because I’ll probably be too lazy and just make with what I have. Go figure. Ilm has also been an interesting choice to look at, along with Metatron because of her new ultimate coming (or is that dmeta?). Kirin as well has a lot of uses, along with Saria. Most of my light cards are good, but no lead or any other good subs to really take advanage of any of them. hopefully in the future, that might be able to change.
I personally told myself I would build teams in dark, but never really get around to them. I had the amazing luck of pulling sepheroth and is still considered a good lead in the game, but the lack of subs that were so specific to his team are the things I lack in order to properly use him. I have a Yomi I should definitively start investing in to, but other than that, i really didn’t see any kind of value rising up from this end of my box until I heard of D.Athena.

Now when she first was announced, I didn’t care cause I already knew that my dark end of the box was terrible. Why should I care about a monster I can’t even play? I decided to just move to Ronove and just invest my time into getting Ragdrag not really worrying about this card until recently. I neve really looked at the teams that were used, and I never really wanted to until I posted my box in a group and was told that I should probably start hitting that Dark end of the box to get ready for D.Athena. Haku? check. Persephone? Check. Durga? Check. grida? Check. is it the perfect team? Absolutely not. IS IT a team though? . Well with a broken card like D.athena, it might as well be. So the 390k mp revent is happening soon, so most of those investment is going to go into making this team a little more relevant.
Ideally I want to have a team for every color because well... why not? It’s a game, i don’t need a real life purpose for doing any of this, I simply want to, and without that, why would I even be playing this game? I’ve got some strong teams and leads already, that much I’m aware of, but with no goals I’ll stop playing and there won’t be any reason for me to do this. So what does this mean for this blog?
In term, I’ll have updates on events or certain things that might be valuable to document through the course of my game to just get a fun idea of where i’m going. Doing this will be fun to look back to where I cam from, and see how far I’ve gotten. Maybe one day I’ll look back at this and laugh at the idea that I tried to “replace” Kaede in some way or form. Let’s face it, It’s sad right now, but it’s going to be a pretty funny joke in the future.
If you read this far, holy shit, that’s crazy cause I didn’t even want to write this much. what was suppose to be a quick intro turned into an essay. Is that bad? well probably, but oh well, it’s done already. Hopefully i’ll be checking back on this to really get more out of what I want out of this game.
