Having a health practitioner in the Pride Ring is kinda like installing fire detectors in Hell.

Not only is violence happened all the time everywhere but Sinners normally just pull themselves together afterwards and regenerate unless hit with a heavenly weapon, so what's the point of having someone running around stitching up wounds and treating blood loss?

Well.. what's the point of running around with a torn off arm if you don't have to? Or being in pain longer than you need to?

Baffy thinks that sounds pretty stupid.

Baffy is cheerfully chasing down her next VERY reluctant patient as we speak.

Baffy's heart is in the right place (she checked) but her medical practices and bedside manner are kinda lacking (ironic for a former plushie toy) and most Sinners would rather run screaming into a turf war than let her treat them. She's a little too fond of stiches and blood and excuses to see both.

P.s. ok, so I wrote this within the span of a day, so if there's any mistakes, I apologize. As I mentioned in the first part, this loosely goes along with the actual chronological events of the Wano season of One Piece. If I missed any important details, I'm sorry. I'll probably do one or two more parts. The last part will probably take a while because I'm still watching Wano.

You followed after Law once he walked out due to his fight with Shinobu. You knew he and his crew never ratted the Samurai out. To be completely honest, you were just as mad as Law, which seemed impossible considered the sour look he had.

How could Shinobu have accused the Heart Pirates of such betrayal? How could she say anything bad about them when they had Bepo? You would've killed for Bepo. He was a whole reason on his own for why you could no longer stand there and listen to her accusations.

As you were lost in your thoughts, you were suddenly brought back to real time as you accidentally walked into Law's back. Somehow you were at the Polar Tang.

"If you'd rather go back and be with your crew, I completely understand," Law said carefully.

"Oh, i-its fine. I don't think I could handle being near Shinobu anyway, not after that. Now's not the time to be pointing fingers,"

"I completely agree y/n. I'm not stranger to being accused of being the bad guy, I'm a pirate after all. Oh well," Law said with a hint of appreciation in his voice. He could tell you were on his side. Always loyal and kind.

You followed Law as he entered the submarine. It was quiet. Perhaps too quiet. But how could you possibly know? This was your first time in the Heart Pirates home base.

Law walked towards one door way and then turned to look at you.

"Stay here for a moment,"

"Okay,"

Law looked around the shared quarters belonging to his crew. He saw a few faces and noticed they were all sleeping. No hints of danger.

Law exhaled a sigh of relief as he turned back to fetch you.

"It seems everyone's getting some rest, follow me,".

And you did just that.

Not sure where he was leading you, you felt yourself get nervous with anticipation. You knew you could trust him, that's not what worried you. What worried you was the idea of being completely alone with Law. No interruptions. No more having to worry about being walked in on like this morning. However, you two had already gotten into some fun once already. Maybe it could happen again. Your heart fluttered at the thought.

"These are my quarters,"

You took a good look around his room. It was well kept and clean. There was a desk next to a bookcase in one corner, filled to the brim with folders, books, and various documents. Everything from medical books to comics. On the opposite side of his room was a bed. You were surprised to see how big it was. You were expecting something smaller due to Laws lanky, skinny figure, but it made sense. His legs are so long and he must toss and turn a lot if he has trouble sleeping, must need room to sprawl out.

"Mind helping me sleep again?" Law asked without looking at you, he was blushing slightly.

"Sure!"

You felt yourself flush slightly, you felt like you sounded too eager to cuddle with the black cat-like man.

But he didn't acknowledge it. He put Kikoku against the wall and his hat on his desk before making his way to the bed. He watched you make your way towards him and generously held the blanket up for you to snuggle next to him. You prompted yourself up slightly as you laid down, pushing Laws shoulders down and pulling him in front of you.

Before he could ask what you were doing, you answered his thoughts.

"Lay your head on my chest,".

This caused Law to glance down at your breasts as he gulped audibly. How cute, you thought, as you saw him get flustered. As you watched his expression, you felt some boldness due to the sight of how weak your body made him. You giggled and before he could look back up to your eyes, you grabbed the back of his scalp and pushed his face down into your breasts. You heard him gasp into your chest and began giggling more.

As you did, not paying much attention to the man suffocating into you, Law slowly lifted his gaze to your face as he gently bit your displayed cleavage.

When Arlong saw something he liked, he usually got it. When Arlong wanted something, he pitied the soul who dared to get between him and his object of desire. Nobody could stop him, not even a puny human. Because once he set his eyes on something, he would split apart the earth to get it.

And you were no different.

What made you so special? You were just another human. Dirty, pathetic, weak. A street rat who was barely getting by themselves. But there was something about you that he desired to posses.

Your voice.

Since you were very little, all you had ever wanted to do was to sing. To reach people's hearts with your music and unite nations through your songs until their hearts were only one beating to the rythm.

You wrote your own lyrics, you learned to play the guitar. This was your biggest dream.

Usually, people wanted fame, wanted the stardom and the money, completely ignoring the pure joy one felt in their chest when they expressed themselves through a song. As you always said, as long as there was someone listening to you, it would all have been worth it.

When you came to this new town, you weren't really expecting to hit it big. You usually performed on the street, only attracting the attention of a few passerbys; but those who stayed and listened through the entirety of it always left with a smile on their faces, and that was more than enough for you.

That's when Arlong met you. He found himself drawn to your voice, you were like a siren, enchanting him. That was the moment he knew he must have you no matter what.

He would kidnap you. As any fishman pirate with his reputation would have done.

Another treasure to add to his pile. Another trophy to satisfy his endless greed.

Except... it felt different this time. Somehow he wasn't able to go through it.

The fearsome Arlong The Saw, terror of the East Blue, afraid of a simple human? He knew he would become a laughingstock back in Fishman Island if word got out. Yet everytime he tried to approach you, your music was enough to stop him in his tracks. He would be lurking in the shadows, completely still, just watching you like a dumb bitch. And when he snapped out of it, you were already gone.

So he vowed to return, and never leave until you belonged to him.

Each day he came, each day he hid in the sadows, plotting his next move but freezing whenever he heard your voice and looked into your eyes. And each day that passed he found the growing feeling in his chest getting bigger and bigger. It was terrifying, not that he would ever admit it. How a simple human had him entrapped with their voice.

You were also marveled by the mysterious stranger that never seemed to miss any of your performances. A fishman male, if the gills and webbed hands were any indication. You didn't know what his business was, watching you from the shadows; what you knew for sure was that he was enraptured by your music. And that filled you with joy known like any other. Fishmen and humankind had been on the verge of war for way too long.

You have been meaning to talk to him for a while now, but it seemed that everytime you finished, he retreated back into the shadows and disappeared. For someone so large, it was certainly impressive that he had managed to hid himself so well.

One day, curiosity got the best of you, and decided to follow him through the very dark alleway (and it was the middle of the day!), getting lost in a maze of streets you were starting to lose hope when you were rudely lifted by the neck and slamed against the wall.

"Well, look who it is. My little siren."

For a couple of seconds you couldn't speak, you couldn't breath, you couldn't look anywhere else than that angular face, letally serrated long nose, and frankly, the most beautiful blue eyes you had ever seen.

"You had wandered too far from your little stage, siren. You don't want the big bad shark to eat you, do you?" His smile, full of teeth sharp as knives, was cruel and lacked any warmth. You wondered if you would end up like the cat in that saying. 'you know what they say about curiosity...'

Yet that old saying didn't stop you from speaking.

"Did you... like it? You... you always come... to see me."Your voice was hoarse, his grip on you was unrelenting. It kinda worried you he was going to crush your way of making a living.

You could see a speck of pink tint his cheeks and his angular jaw tensed. He obviously thought of himself as a master of camouflage and discretion.

He pulled away from you, retreating as if you had the plague. You understood, given humans previous treatment towards fishmankind and were extremely grateful of being able to recover your breath.

"It was midly entertaining." Arlong wanted so badly to sound dismissive and uncaring, to prove that your little show was not that much of a big deal. Just something to pass time. He had seen better. But he was growing nervous, and he hated being nervous. Hated feeling out of control, hated letting a human have the upper hand.

He should have just crushed your windpipes right then and there.

But instead, he turned around. Muttering a quiet threat about following him again; vowing to himself to put some distance before he succumbed to the lesser race and perfectly knowing he would be there the next day as well to watch you sing.

Because when Arlong wanted something he usually got it.

Was rewatching the forth episode of We are and I laughed saying "Que rata (rat in spanish) Toey" and my brother looked at me confused and asked why did I suddenly mention Ratatouille while watching bl.

Apparently rata toey sounds like ratarouille and my brother decided to tell me just now after I've been saying it out loud for WEEKS.

Never ever. I'm pretty messy, and if I don't watch my hoarding tendencies I will morph into the worst pack rat. But I like a bit of clutter around me; I think it helps my creative side since my output (whether at work, or writing on Tumblr) is always tidy and tidied up to a fault, which can stifle creativity (at least that's what I tell myself! 🤣).

what's your favourite number?

Don't have one. However (even though I like to think I'm not superstitious) if I can I'll try to avoid the number 13 and anything with 4 in it...

what is your job?

Not gonna get too specific, but my work involves design, project management and construction.

if you could go back to school, would you?

I was too stressed out at school to want to repeat the experience. But I wouldn't mind a bit of time travel back to advise my younger self not to take things so seriously! 🤣

can you parallel park?

Yes. Not well, but the car will be fully in the lot eventually. 👍

a job you had that would surprise people?

Some minor modeling jobs when I was younger. Hush! I don't like to talk about it. 🤫 You wouldn't think it to look at me now (me 🤝 Ricky Gervais 😂).

do you think aliens are real?

There are too many planets out there for our little blue marble to be the only habitable one, so yes I do think there are aliens out there. I just don't think we've been visited by them yet though! (Aylin doesn't count. 🤩)

can you drive a manual car?

Yes. Mom taught me how to drive in one... until the day I jammed on the accelerator when she said "Step on it" and I almost up-ended us into a ditch. Then I was sent to driving school instead. 🤣

what's your guilty pleasure?

Sadly I've been over-indulging, so chocolate is now banned from the house for the foreseeable future. I'm still lusting after it though. Other guilty pleasures: I do like a good nightcap, so any (gluten grain-free) alcohol makes me light up – cognac, cabernet, sherry, sake, port... (But I don't always know my limits, so this is now banned too.) And a steamin', stonkin', trashy BL every now and then (bonus if there's a nice muscley actor for me to get all googly-eyed over – shoutout Gap Jakarin!). 😁🥰

tattoos?

I like art and have fanboyed over beautiful tattoos before – but I'm put off by the permanence of them, so I have none myself. Don't like the idea of not being able to change them much once they're inked in, because I will always be wanting to change things up if I were to get one. And no, even for looking at I prefer an uninked bod over an inked one. It takes a lot of work to get a body in shape, and I can't understand someone wanting to cover up the results of their hard work at the gym. 🤷‍♂️

favorite color?

A deep, rich blue most of the time. But when the mood hits, I like a bright, bold red too.

favorite type of music?

My tastes are a bit eclectic, leaning lighter and not challenging. Anything with a strong melodic line will get me hooked. Bonus points if the lyrics can come together with the melody to tell a story, and elevate it even more. So – pop mostly, but I also like R&B, soul, light jazz and the odd heartfelt country ballad or foot-stomper (go Queen Bey! 😍). Also like things with a nostalgic bent (I melt at Karen Carpenter, Seals & Croft, and England Dan & John Ford Coley). And then throw in a couple of show tunes in there for good measure! My YouTube playlist is all over the place – Sheila Majid, New Country, Renaissance, Nunew, Miley Cyrus, Streisand, Li'l Nas X, Ayumu Imazu, The Carpenters, Clean Bandit, so many others, all side-by-side.

do you like puzzles?

I love them, especially word and logic puzzles. I'm always shouting over Pat and Vanna. 🤣

any phobias?

Oddly, not the usual suspects, but I'm a bit phobic about birds. They're just creepy up close, even though I find them fascinating and beautiful with a bit of distance. While the bog-standard creepy-crawlies don't bother me one bit – I'm the one always getting called in to whack the roaches and chase away rodents. I dream of getting a cobalt blue tarantula as a pet (but that's not going to happen for various reasons, alas).

favorite childhood sport?

I wasn't that sporty growing up (classic bookworm) but I did enjoy a bit of soccer when I got to play. But I guess my favorite was probably swimming, though I didn't compete.

do you talk to yourself?

All the time. There's a nonstop monologue going on in my head and I've been known to startle people by accidentally voicing that conversation out loud. So I've learnt not to do it around others. 🤣 And no I'm not hearing disembodied voices; it's just me keeping myself company (plus I find it helps me focus my thoughts).

what movies do you adore?

My all-time favorite: Cinema Paradiso; it really pulls unabashedly at the heartstrings, but then again I'm a sentimental fool and love it all the more for that. That's also why I like Love Actually, especially the scene where the repressed Jamie (Colin Firth) travels to Portugal in order to confess his feelings to Aurélia (Lúcia Moniz), having realized he loves her despite the language barrier, and doggedly learnt Portuguese just to make his declaration – and then he finds out that she, lovelorn and bereft, learnt English just in case ("just in cases") he came back. 💖 And my second favorite is from the other end of the spectrum, actually quite a bit before my time as well: Hello Dolly! 😆 Don't judge... A couple of songs in there are really amazing – Love is Only Love and Just Leave Everything to Me especially (which are not in the stage version) are mindblowingly good. The former is almost pithy in its bare-boned purity, all about looking at love without sentimentality while reprising themes heard earlier on in the musical; the latter has the among the cleverest lyrics set to music I've ever heard:

Streisand is in fine fettle portraying a campier, more youthful incarnation of Dolly. Such a shame it was not better received. The costumes are spectacular too.

coffee or tea?

Coffee (or rather the caffeine it contains) is my drug of choice, and I drink buckets of it. But I like a good cuppa when I'm feeling nostalgic and/or sentimental, because tea is what I drank a lot of growing up – at my gran's there would be a perpetually-replenished, giant kettle of dark, bitterish Oolong on the sideboard for whenever you felt like some (which was often), while at home there was always a big pot of tea on the table in the morning, that would then be set to chill in the refrigerator after breakfast. I would always have an ice-cold milk tea with the papers when I got home from school, and it was my favorite daily ritual.

first thing you wanted to be growing up?

A paleontologist – like a lot of kids I loved dinosaurs, and I can still rattle off the names of the more well-known ones (including every one in Jurassic Park 👀). But that got pushed aside for more practical considerations later. Still wish I'd explored my second childhood ambition more though, which was to be a writer/journalist. Maybe that's why I like posting so much on Tumblr! 😍

A brief defense of a Boss & a Babe

So I’ve never added commentary like this before (usually prefer to sit back and enjoy the hot takes 🔥 & analyses from those much more informed & eloquent), but from what I’ve seen the consensus is ABAB is at the least disappointing and at the most infuriating. And I won’t lie I didn’t vibe with the first episode. But I’ve now watched the second and I’ve got thoughts (and feelings). To preface I had very little expectations going in. Boss is relatable. I read him as introverted and depressed (maybe from a break up and/or homophobic trauma?). It’s already hard to make friends as an adult when you’re introverted so I can only imagine how hard it is to make friends with coworkers who are clearly trying to keep their distance from you. My guy is lonely. Especially when they’re telling the new guy how cold & distant you are. My head cannon is nobody in the office is a reliable narrator because no one has bothered to GET TO KNOW boss/gun.

I didn’t like Cher at first because I read him as a silly kinda ditzy character, but I was wrong. I kinda love that he’s not afraid to show his concern for boss because that’s exactly what boss needs. Someone to cross the professional line and say “hey I know you’re not ok and I wanna be there for you”. Fuck professionalism in this rat race of a world, you need a friend. Maybe there are some problematic ethics at play, but it’s a BL ok there are plenty of other plots I hold a suspension of disbelief for so honestly not too far fetched imo

Even though they kissed in episode 2, I feel like the emotional build up of their relationship will be more of a slow burn and I love how realistic that is. I truly believe these two characters are both physically attracted to each other and want to have an emotional connection. I love the ForceBook chemistry. It’s both fun-flirty but also very affectionate. The way Cher is kind of sarcastic and silly to try & cheer up Boss reminds me of my relationship with my partner so maybe I am a little biased but their connection feels very realistic to me

About the kiss. I loved it. It was flirty, it was intimate and it made sense for the moment. Maybe I’m wrong but I don’t think Cher invited Boss up to his room to seduce him. I think he offered a warm, welcoming place to spend time after Boss told him he usually works late and then goes home alone. Cher knows how lonely Boss is and his genuine concern for him is so sweet. From inviting him up for noodles to inviting him to BBQ to meet his friends (and normalize having queer friends) is just so damn considerate & touching. Cher really seems to have the truest of intentions & I think I would be his real life bestie cheering him & boss on the sidelines, seriously. Maybe I’m problematic lmao

Did I mention I love we got a kiss in episode 2? I’m out here manifesting the break in the typical episode 5/6 kiss especially for these office BLs. Again it’s way more realistic for them to kiss each other at this point in their relationship & for the tone of the show. Sometimes I think a good timed kiss is way more impactful than a dramatic emotional yearning kiss 5 episodes in but maybe that’s just me. More playful, sweet early kisses plz & thank you 🙏🏻

I’m excited for more. Haven’t seen episode 3 yet as of this writing. Fingers crossed their relationship continues to be a sweet, supportive slow burn and not a dumpster fire so I don’t regret writing my first ever BL analysis 🤪

Non non, I will not be watching it as it airs. That's a Tuesday, so I will be watching Kiseki: Dear to Me and going to work like God and the United States capitalist society intended. It's only part one, so I also don't have the patience for this long con. Watching two parts live is a young person's game. Sad times.

JoongDunk - My troublesome tykes must be on my screen every single year, or I'll turn into dust. Joong pops up in shows by himself, but Dunk doesn't, so even if they aren't paired together (THE HORROR!), let Pretty Boy Dunk show up somewhere alone for once.

Fluke Squared - I have a Fluke Pusit-as-the-lead agenda, and Fluke Gawin should be the other half of that equation. If not, give Fluke Pusit and Thor another shot because they did so well in The Warp Effect.

Another TWO GLs - I write "another" even though we have yet to get the first, but I need more appreciation for the ladies, and we can get that with more GLs.

Good Title - Title barely came into GMMTV this year, but has already been in three shows . . . as the bad guy. Can he play someone nice in 2024? I can't hate this man every show. That's rude.

Inn x Title - GMMTV now has Miracle of Teddy Bear's Inn on its roster too. Don't waste these men. Put 'em together!

FirstKhao romcom with Sea as support! - If Ray would get a threesome in Only Friends, it would be with a character Sea is playing. That's all I gotta say about that.

I'll pray about it, but, honestly, I'll take whatever GMMTV gives me. PerthChimon were not expected last year, then the lineup reveal hit with them screaming they "fucking hated" each other, and Dangerous Romance is now my entire personality. GMMTV doles out so many shows, that I'm sure there will be at least one if not six shows I'll look forward to. But if I had to pick one?

also i know i'm being purposely obtuse about this, but i do think "i want to watch a show with adult characters in it" is kinda of a silly reason to not watch a kid's cartoon considering i genuinely can't think of a kid's cartoon that doesn't feature adult characters prominently, even blue/y and rug/rats which despite being a show made for preschoolers and a show starring actual babies respectively, still feature adults as main characters (even if their not the title character) with like character development and stories and shit, and while i know rugr/ats does because i actually watched the show as a kid, i only know about bl/uey because not only is it extremely common to see furries drawing porn of the dad to the point where theirs discourse of the ethicality of it, there are infact multiple dilfs in it to the point that i've seen people make tier lists which is both really impressive and kind of terrifying honestly

Only Boo is done and I really enjoyed most of the series, except for the last two/three episodes. It's been like that for so many Thai BL series that I'm really scared for We Are. Please, please, please make it stay as consistent and good as it did so far. Everything was just amazing and I need it to end on a high, not on a "don't watch the last 2 episodes and everything is fine". 🥲

But let me add a few thoughts to Only Boo!

The story was good for a new couple. It's cute and light and I loved so much about everything. Love Moo's dream and his new friends and him being loud and bright. I love Kang and Shone. All is well. 💕

At the end, so many weaknesses made itself shown. The Shone/Moo relationship was too little established and shown. The problems of a no-dating rule were overwritten so fast. I wanted to see that guy who ratted Moo out to the company suffer by not getting to debut, instead he was just gone?! And I appreciate the need to give everyone their happy end, even if it seemed over the top. I love Force for his cameo 💕💕💕

Side couple got waaay too little time at the end. Felt rushed after all the angst. And did Moo's mom really accept that Moo has his shit together and can have EVERYTHING he wants in life? Because she seemed so against her son's happiness, I don't trust her at all. But oh well...

I really enjoyed it and was ready and waiting for the new episode every Sunday. I love SeaKeen and it's a cute story, so I'm not complaining too much about a few weaknesses. Well done, cast and crew. 💕

all these Laws of Attraction (2023) things flying around are making my desire to re-watch Khun Chai SKYROCKET. I don't have time! But the heart wants.

(If you haven't watched it yet, what's stopping you? it's the love child of a typical telenovela-style Thai lakorn, a wuxia show, and a historical BL show, and it's FANTASTIC. it's historical! it's got family politics! actual politics! a huge cool ensemble of characters! fantastic sibling relationships! MAGIC! It's on youtube -- with subs! the first episode is 95% exposition and has a content warning list that's at least eight items long, but I promise a) it gets better after that b) you will get SUCKED IN.

I'm not selling this well but it legitimately was one of my top five favourite things that aired in 2022, so if you've heard or read about other faves of mine and thought, oh, this person has acceptable taste? give it a shot.

Again: It's 17 episodes, on youtube in full, and it has both English and Thai subtitles available. The theme song is sung by Nunew and the MV hit 10M views on youtube within two weeks.

I'm not even making you go try to find it yourself. Here's ep 1. Have fun.

In Minecraft, I really like the grindy stuff (chopping down trees, mining), as well as building!!! Oftentimes, I'll put a bunch of effort into the outside of my house, and the inside is an organized disaster! In the Sims usually I build, I rather build houses in the Sims than play with the Sim,,, usually I will build a Sim or a family, then create a house for them! I feel like actually playing a household in the Sims can get very repetitive, though, and it just doesn't seem to keep my attention for as long as building or creating a Sim/Family! My recent favorite games to play on roblox have been, Stop it Slender, Doors, and Hide and Seek! Slow Damage and Sweet Pool are both BL Visual Novel games made by the Company Nitro+CHiRAL. They both contain darker topics and themes, but I know that at least SD is absolutely amazing. I don't know much about Sweet Pool tbh, other than there is gore and cannibalism, but I'm quite set on playing it eventually! Slow Damage I just desperately want to play myself, I've watched about halfway through a playthrough of SD and read the manga, which covers the first (Fraise) chapter of SD!

I also enjoy the Minecraft grind! Building in both Minecraft and the Sims is fun. I definitely agree with you that actually playing households can get boring quickly. I love the customization aspects of the Sims much more. I haven't heard of Stop It Slender in awhile; that's an olddd game. It used to be one of my favorites to play, though! Doors is fun; you might like Pressure too if you haven't tried that. It's similar to Doors. Speaking of doors, I still need to play floor 2... waiting for my friends to play with me. I'll be sure to check those two visual novels out and see if they'd be something I'd enjoy playing for my doll. They seem interesting!
