This all to say that life is just a bunch of experiences and there's someone out there who is jealous of you for not having had yours, and instead of being mildly insulted or sneering that "nobody would choose my suffering if they knew what it was like," try flipping the script during the hard times and seeing the romantic and hilarious poetry in the fact that you threw up right after brushing your teeth. ⚰️ It has now been said that Anne-Marie Duff was booked on another job which is, I am sure why the story had to go this way & I do trust Sharon Horgan's ability to write an incredible season, however the problem that I have with what happens is that, for at least, my initial response was anger, I was devastated & didn't even know if I could continue on watching because my grief made me initially lash out at what I had watched & thought that it felt like it happened to almost punish Grace for what she did & yes, killing a person is inherently a bad thing but not him. What she did was quite frankly an act of public service, could even be argued as an act of self defence, I would say & to put it bluntly, I would quite happily have killed that man myself in broad daylight with eyewitnesses so for that to happen to Grace after everything she went through I was angry but that is death, that is grief it can happen so suddenly without any warning to anyone & at anytime, it is heartbreakingly realistic & yet still feels almost inconceivable.

I've seen a few fics where Charles is dyslexic, and while I'm not wedded to it, I do kind of like that headcanon.

In which case, I do think that Edwin has noticed on some subconscious level that if he describes his books to Charles by shape, colour, and location, rather than just title, that Charles is more likely to hand him the right book.

But I do not think that Edwin is likely to be consciously aware that Charles is dyslexic, or indeed of what dyslexia is, nor do I think Charles knows. I think if you asked Edwin he would say that Charles is brilliant and therefor is refusing to learn to read Aramaic out of pure stubbornness, and if you asked Charles he would say he's just not great with reading and that's what he has Edwin for.
