Nico: "..Are we sure it's not a monster in disguise?"

Piper: "...Leo, Reyna, Will, and I will start asking around. Which part of Mexico did the legend originate in?"

Leo: "Don't look at me!!"

Will: "I'm a Colombian who was born in Texas, so I know even less about it than you, Leo."

Reyna: "I'm a Puerto Rican who spent half my life either at Circe's island or Camp Jupiter. I have no idea where to start looking."

Piper: "slaps her own forehead* "Lets just look it up on the Internet!!"

Reyna, Thalia, Hazel, & Nico:: "What's the Internet?"

Will, Leo, & Piper: *gapes in horror*

Also, some notes:

• The middle space IS a free space, it's been confirmed Vanessa will hit mangle with her car. For bonus points, I imagine it going something like this:

- Mike just barely escapes the FNAF 2 location, animatronics hot on his tail. As soon as he gets into the parking lot, a shadow falls over him and he slowly and dramatically looks up, face to face with mangle. - He shuts his eyes, sure he's about to die, only to hear a crash and open them to see Vanessa's car skidding to a stop in front of him. Some version of "get in, loser!" or "Well? What are you waiting for? An invitation?" (She's still in her hospital gown. this is also how he finds out she woke up from her coma.)

• They never explain what happened to Aunt Jane. Just meme about how its a giant plothole that Mike never got in trouble when the woman he was in the middle of a custody battle with died in his living room.

• They did a casting call for "cosplay teens" a while back. I think Springtrap is going to end up in some local comic-con. Nobody is alarmed by the giant bloody rotting rabbit. They all just think its a sick-ass cosplay and want pictures with him. The rotting corpse smell? Eh, that's normal for comic-con.

• The FNAF movie novel made a lot of weird hints to Vanessa being a robot. I'm not necessarily a fan of this... but I think they'll either reveal she's a robot in this movie or heavily hint towards it.

• In the same way they used Mike's dreams to show his past in the last movie, I think they'll use Vanessa's coma as an opportunity for flashbacks in this one. Maybe even to show William's motive for killing people. (Something they forgot to do last movie...)

random percy and Jason thoughts

i know it’s kinda common, I’ve seen it around, that people don’t like Jason, he was introduced late, they gave him a weak tie in to why the Romans weren’t at the Battle Of Manhattan

and there are a lot of better quality posts/essays that discuss this topic way better than I do but I will say I really like him as a foil for Percy

Percy is progressively getting more and more fed up with the Gods and their bullshit by the end of HOO while Jason is swearing to make EVERY god a tribute/temple of some sort

while Percy gets bitter, Jason gets more sympathetic

It’s really ironic considering Jason has a lot of reasons to be upset since the gods have been manipulating him since birth even a bit more than Percy

He was taken from his abusive mother, loving sister and deprived of a normal life (that at least Percy got in some semblance with his mother) and he still has the capacity to love and care no matter the odds

i like that he kinda mirrors nico here too, who was friends with Hestia and both of them saw being a god isn’t as great as it seems

i do like that percy sometimes recognizes this but still doesn’t forgive them for their shit

and that’s really the end of my ode to Jason Grace and how my re-read has really opened my eyes to other aspects of his characters rather than picture perfect guy that struggles with expectations (which i also like that he mirrors that with Piper)

Revisited my old vld au (i blame @jankwritten) and remade my old character sheets about it. tweaked some things, struggled to remember what the hell all my notes were about from like 5 years ago, etc etc. Much happier with the set-up now honestly.
