Ok im dumping about IMAA Ella and Tony because I AM A BITCH ON A MISSION TO MAKE EVERYONE ELSE FEEL AS MANY THINGS ABOUT MY CHILDREN AS I DO

So starting off, the plot is generally the same with the addition of Ella attempting to be involved but getting left behind by Tony and Rhodey to do the Iron Man thing. Ella is unaware of the Iron Man suit and Tony's involvement with Iron Man until later. After the events of ‘Seeing Red’, Ella goes to Stane and offers to get the Iron Man armor for him if he promises to leave her and Tony alone, convinced Stane had tried to send Dynamo after Tony.

He agrees and she raids the Stark Vault for gear to create her own suit, The Fire Light Armor which has gauntlets instead of the little circles in the palm and a sword that can be lit on fire. The gauntlets have three load outs: Repulsor, Electricity and Fire.

Fire Light becomes an antagonist for a few episodes before she reveals her identity to Iron Man to show him why she's so adamant about getting the armor. Tony reveals his own identity to her so she wont kill him (there’s a one shot somewhere on my blog for details on that) and Ella is furious that her one and only twin would keep a secret like that from her. They were always very close to each other and their dad before the crash and Ella grows to resent how much Tony refuses to accept her help or just not tell her anything.

Ella winds up crushing hard on Gene and learns of his identity as the Mandarin early on, bringing Fire Light out of retirement and giving it a new black paint job, becoming Shadow Strike instead after faking a suicide after a particularly serious argument between her and Tony in regards to her involvement on Team Iron Man.

It hits Tony really hard that his sister would kill herself over an argument but after an episode of reminiscing on their childhood and watching some old videos of them as kids, he realizes just how left out she's been by others (and even himself) and why she was always so adamant about how close they were.

Tony, of course, recognizes the ex-Fire Light armor on who he assumes is one of the Mandarin's goons and becomes furious that someone is wearing the armor his sister had built. She becomes a target for Tony to let out his frustrations and despite going at her with all he has, but can never seem to defeat her. (Ella spent most of their childhood practicing martial arts and started teaching Tony how to near the beginning of the series. But its also symbolic of how he can't seem to defeat his guilt over losing his sister, the only family he had left.)

Ella reveals the truth during the events of the Fin Fang Foom episode as well as her new loyalty to Gene as the Mandarin. Shadow Strike becomes the only remnant of the Mandarin's underlings to harass Team Iron Man while Gene and Howard search for the rest of the Rings. Tony has underlying feelings of guilt for pushing Ella to the point of becoming a villain, but denies it and insists that Ella should have just told him.

The last straw for Ella comes at the end of the Makluan Invasion. As Gene departs for his childhood home, realizing his true purpose of protecting the Earth, Ella can only sink to her knees at the realization that the last bastion of her broken heart has abandoned her as well. Even if her relationship with Gene was just a front to hide the work she'd been doing for him, the realization that he couldn't spare a second thought for her brings the world crashing down around her ears.

Tony attempts to comfort her, saying that they could finally go home, but she refuses. Angrily shouting how all of this started because of him and that she could never forgive him for leaving her behind so easily. She swears to make him feel the pain she's endured before blasting off and disappearing. Tony goes to chase after her, but the others stop him, Rhodey noting that she just needed some space and time to deal with Gene leaving like that.

2 months later, neither Ella or Gene has been seen or heard from and Team Iron Man have cemented themselves as heroes of New York. Tony is back home with his dad. SHIELD is working with Stark International to help test and expand on the projects the Starks have made. Tony and Howard have begun helping SHIELD in their attempt to unfreeze Captain America but haven't made much progress just yet

Even with all that is happening, Tony calls Ella's cell phone every night in hopes that she'll answer, leaving messages talking about his day and asking her to come home. The world isn't right, knowing his sister is out there on her own

The first episode of the season is a typical Unicorn and Killer Shrike fight. They're no match for the newly upgraded Team Iron Man and are sent to jail with barely a fuss. It's as they sit in prison, lamenting over how they can't ever seem to win a fight anymore, that a portal opens from nowhere. Out steps a cloaked figure with a hood and a man with a familiar golden helmet. Loki stands quietly with a smirk as the cloaked figure speaks. Their voice obviously being altered, but they offer the duo a chance for revenge. All they have to do is follow as they're commanded.

It's not hard to figure out why the two criminals smirk at each other.

Team Iron Man arrives on scene as Unicorn and Killer Shrike are robbing some warehouse, expecting a usual easy fight. They're caught off guard by the new purple highlights on the low tier villians' armors but assume nothing more until they're suddenly being thrashed around like nothing.

After a thorough beating at the hands of the newly powered criminals, Team Iron Man has to rethink their strategies, unknowing of the new mastermind lurking in the city.

Meanwhile, Killer Shrike and Unicorn return to their new base to report to the Loki that things went smoothly aside from the interruption from Iron Man and co. Loki sends them on their way and returns to the cloaked figure and tells them the news. The cloaked figure, who Loki refers to as Infinity, simply waves him off with a last moment note of how "Our Lord" would be pleased with their progress.

Team Iron Man fumbles to catch any info on what's going on, seemingly back at the start of their adventures.

Throughout the ongoing season, various Avengers appear to help Team Iron Man, including the newly revived Captain America about halfway thorough. Doctor Strange appears to warn SHIELD and Team Iron Man that Loki and Infinity will be after him to steal the Time Stone from him, which they do succeed in. Strange gives Tony a vague warning that Ella needs Tony, not Iron Man, to save her. Tony takes this to mean Infinity and Loki must be holding Ella hostage just as Gene had Howard hostage. Gene also returns, intent to do right this time and help Tony and his friends protect the Earth but is often busy doing his own work to deal with Infinity.

Somewhere midway through the season, Tony manages to separate Infinity from their followers and attempts to put a stop to their plans, by both fighting with them and trying to appeal to them. With the use of holograms and use of the Power Stone, Infinity uses this opportunity to torment Tony with images of Ella, playing with his guilt. Tony, plagued by Ella in tears or angry or hurt, while blaming him for her anguish, for abandoning her, is enough to let Infinity escape, though it is at this point that as Infinity leaves, do they reveal themself to have been Ella all along.

The ex-Shadow Strike armor has been reworked to be unrecognizable. The visor helmet is still the same as it was, but the body suit has been beefed up. The gauntlets are now doubled in size, massive rings on the wrist of the suit that open to become massive gloves over the suit’s hands. The back of both gauntlets has an opening with which Infinity Stones can be implanted to become power sources, namely the Power and Time Stones, which were her mission to recover.

The final episodes, probably a two or three part-er, Thanos arrives on Earth to retrieve the Infinity Stones from Loki and Infinity. Loki, upon realizing just how seriously screwed they all are, defects back to join Thor and the heroes with the promise that he is as serious as he can be, having spent the latter half of the season questioning if he really wanted to go through with this.

In the chaos of the battle, Tony manages to get Ella away from everyone else and the Twins throw down alone. Weapons are disregarded as it becomes a close quarters death match, Tony trying desperately trying to get through to his sister while Ella can only reiterate how she’s doing this in revenge for everything while trying to punch Iron Man’s mask in.

The promise she made with Thanos comes up: in exchange for her help gathering the Stones on Earth, Thanos will make things go back to how they were. Ella, Tony and their Dad, living life as they had before the accident. Happy, together. The accident, betrayal and all the things that came with it a mere dream.

Tony manages to break through to her, that Thanos would definitely not follow through on his promise. that they would lose everything if Thanos gets his hands on the Power Stone still in Ella’s possession. She freezes up, internal panic building up keeping her rooted to the ground as several people rush to try and take the final Infinity Stone from her.

Thanos manages to chase off the heroes and demands Ella relinquish the Power stone. As she kneels to offer it, Tony’s words ring in her head. Deciding to trust her brother once more, Ella manages to grab her sword from the ground to cut off Thanos’ hand where the Infinity Gauntlet rests.

As he screams in anguish, she snatches up his severed arm and rushes to the rubble where Team Iron Man and Gene are screaming for her. She manages to pluck the stones from the Gauntlet before Thanos yells out at her for betraying him. He promises a painful demise once he catches her and tears flood Ella’s cheeks, shaking and panicking over the imminent danger she’s in for her choice.

With an understanding that using even one Stone without a conduit can cause a lot of damage to a person, Tony and the gang convince Ella to let them help her in wielding the Stones to put an End to this once and for all.

Her suit has hidden places for all of the Stones, having been a backup if something happened with the Gauntlet, so as the other heroes keep Thanos distracted, Ella slots the Stones in the corresponding openings: one in each gauntlet, one in the center of her chest plate, one on the back of her helmet, and one at each hip. The idea being the more space between each stone, the less an effect they would have on the user.

The newly reunited Team Iron Man join hands to help disperse the effects of the stones’ use and Ella makes the final snap.

Something goes wrong.

It’s like an explosion.

Tony comes to with his ears ringing, laying on his front in the dirt. He looks up to find Ella’s armor in pieces before him. There’s burn marks on the inside and the stones are dull as they lay in the dirt. He crawls forward, every inch of his body burning like it had when he woke from the plane crash, and grabbing the broken helmet from the clutter as a fear he’d hoped to never feel again rears its head.

He failed her again.

He’d lost his sister, again.

The battlefield is silent, no remains of Thanos or his army to be seen while the rest of those fighting for Earth are strewn about in similar states of pain or unconsciousness.

From above, comes the haunting sound of energy pulsing and he looks up to see the glowing silhouette of a person, floating high above him.

The silhouette descends, mere feet away and he shields his eyes from the blinding light. The glow dims and Ella is standing before him instead.

He calls out to her, shakily getting to his feet as relief crashes down on his shoulders, tears in his eyes.

She turns to look at him.

He stops, freezing in place as the breath is knocked from his lungs.

Her expression is blank, eyes glowing. The stones suddenly spark back to life, rushing past him to float around her now outstretched hand.

Her voice is warped and strange, sounding as if another being is speaking altogether, proclaiming themself to be an entity of ancient, godly origins. The being thanks Tony for his help in awakening them, smiling in such a cold fashion it sends chills down his spine.

He wants to demand the being return his sister, give her back, he just got her BACK, but another voice speaks up through him. Another entity snaps at the other, they shouldn’t be here, they cannot do this again. They reach out- his hand reaches out- and the Infinity Stones start to move towards him instead. The Stones are held between them in the air as the two beings struggle to force the Stones to them before the one puppet-ting Tony’s body focuses on the two closest and yanks them to his chest. Clutching the two barely glowing Stones, he glares at the other entity, mind racing with questions.

The other entity- the one using Ella- takes the stones and leaves with a final remark that “You cannot stop me this time.”

Control returns to Tony as the others come scrambling towards him in concern. Gene has vanished, probably for the best considering his history, and the Avengers and Team Iron Man regroup at SHIELD.

Cue next season, The Guardians of the Galaxy show up, having been chasing after Thanos and the Infinity stones. They’re relieved to know he’s been dealt with, but the sudden appearance of the being in control of Ella’s body seems to be right up their alley. Team Iron Man insist on going with the Guardians, especially with one of their own on the line.

Tony attempts to contact Gene through whatever means he has, but finds the Mandarin just as impossible to call as ever, deciding to leave the other to do as he will.

The rest of the season is Team Iron man and the Guardians chasing after Possessed Ella, the being controlling her deciding to keep the moniker “Infinity” Ella had been using before. She’d somehow forged her own star ship and recruited both Unicorn and Killer Shrike, as well as Gene, who spends whatever chances he has relaying information to Tony in secret, even going so far as to encourage battles between them to get Tony away from prying eyes.

Tony and the being residing within talk, explaining everything it can while being sincere enough for Tony to believe the tale it tells.

The two supposed “Gods” had existed since the beginning of time and had been something like shepherds of the species of the newborn universe. “Infinity” and “End” as the being chose to refer to themself as, were torn between the ways they wanted to encourage the universe to grow. End wanted the beings to become self sufficient, to grow and learn and become able to exist on their own, while Infinity wanted to continue being worshiped as Gods, for the universe to continue to bend to their whims.

The disagreement grew to war, the two gods struggling in a power imbalance that threatened all worlds. Eventually, End was able to trick Infinity to the world from which they first came from and sealed both of their powers into six gems and had them scatter to the far corner of the universe. With the creation of the Infinity Stones, the two gods lost the power to remain incarnated within the physical world. Their souls were lost to the ether of the universe, becoming attached to the souls of twins across the universe. As they remained in a sleep like state until the Stark Twin’s use of the Stones awakened them. With enough power to awaken them, Infinity was now trying to return to their Birth World to release their power from the Stones and take back control, while End wanted to destroy the Stones once and for all, wiping the two gods from the very fabric of reality.

As the two sides clash and chase each other across the universe, the Stones swap hands back and forth, no episode ending without some Stones switching hands. It’s impossible to tell whether Infinity has relinquished any control back to Ella or if something else has happened to cause Ella to act so cold to Tony and the others, as if the final fight against Thanos hadn’t happened at all, but End allows Tony control of their powers, giving him a boost of new abilities with each Infinity Stone in his hand.

The final few episodes are the close in on the Birth World, Team Iron Man and the Guardians clash with Infinity, Unicorn and Killer Shrike, Gene breaking away during the last collision to join Tony and Friends. When they land, End becomes antsy, encouraging Tony to go after Infinity separately and let the others keep the much stronger Killer Shrike and Unicorn busy.

The two God-possessed teens chase each other over the landscape, racing to grab the Infinity Stones from each other as they race for the Altar End directs Tony towards.

Infinity manages to knock Tony down long enough to snag all the Stones and get to the Altar. End takes over and the two fight for the Stones. infinity manages to regain enough power to manifest a physical form and cast Ella’s body aside as they continue struggling to absorb the Stones’ power.

During the struggle, End manages to siphon energy from Infinity, who begins to lose their physical form. They attempt to jump back to a now-waking-Ella, but Tony, using a mix of End and the Infinity Stones, manages to draw Infinity back to him. The overwhelming energy of two gods and the power of the Infinity Stones coursing through him causes noticeable burns to appear on Tony’s skin (think how the Power Stone burned anyone holding it during the Guardians of the Galaxy movie)

Ella rushes to his side, attempting to grab at the Infinity Stones, to get them away from her brother even if it causes her to burn just as Tony is.

As the twins struggle to withdraw any amount of the chaotic energy burning at their bodies, the two gods grapple with each other, struggling as they speak.

“Look at them! Look how they struggle!”

“For what reason! Why fight such a power as ours?!”

“For each other! For the lives you will destroy if we continue on this way!”

“What does it matter! After everything they have seen and done to each other!”

“Because they choose to love despite the pain. As we once were.”

“We were fools!”

“We were family.”

Infinity hesitates, looking from the twins to End with a confused expression before looking horrified. End smiles and the two embrace.

“It is time we leave, Infinity. It is time we leave them to their own.”

“Yes... Yes, it is.”

They withdraw, taking the Infinity Stones away from the twins as they vanish into a ball of light, that bursts, whiting out the screen.

As the ringing and whiteness fades, Tony sits up, the camera pointedly only showing his left side as he sits up from where he’d been leaning against a large stone. He turns to find Ella laying on the ground beside him. Her eyes flutter as she comes to, sitting up and looking around.

The two turn to look at each other, gaping at the change. Tony’s right side and Ella’s left side are darker, patchy discolorations of their skin from head to toe, the eye on that side seeming to have swapped. Tony’s left eye now brown, while Ella’s right is blue.

They both stare for a moment in confused awe before collapsing into each other with breathless, exhausted laughter. After a moment they both look up at the sound of voices. Rhodey, Pepper and Gene come running, all yelling and waving the twins down.

Time skip a bit to the Guardians apprehending Killer Shrike and Unicorn, the two having lost their beef up from both iterations of Infinity and being dragged back onto the Guardians ship. Team Iron Man are patching each other up, Tony recounting the last bits of the fight between the two gods to the others as Rhodey wraps his arm in gauze.

After a moment, Tony says he’ll go get Ella and the others should go ahead and get settled. He heads back towards the Altar, the others casting worried glances back and muttering to each other uneasily.

Ella stands in front of the Altar and the large stone they had woken up under. Tony walks up beside her and puts a hand on her shoulder, looking up at the stone. The top of it has become some sort of carving, the image of the two gods in their final embraced is immortalized, just under their remains is a carving, done in many many, languages, taking up the rest of the stone.

“For the betterment of the Galaxy, let this be the final resting place of the Gods of Chaos and Power. May the Stones of Infinity never rear their heads again.May you find peace in life as they have in death.”

Tony takes Ella’s hand and starts to lead her back towards the ship. As they walk away and the screen fades to black, the colors of the Infinity Stones start to glow from within their silhouettes. Fade to black. End Season

The next two episodes are the trip back, broken up into conversations between characters as old wounds are addressed and secrets are made aware.

Tony admits to his wrong doing to Ella and Ella admits to jealousy.

Tony overhears a conversation between Gene and Ella as he apologizes for abandoning her after the Makluan Invasion. They talk about the attempt she’d made to take her own life, how Gene had shown up before she’d actually done it and directed her anguish elsewhere. Ella apologizes for her dependence on him during that turbulent time.

Afterwards, Tony confronts Gene to clear it up, because surely she hadn’t actually intended to off herself that day. It had all been a ploy from the start right? They’d planned that to get Ella away from him, she hadn’t really gone out to do that, right?

When they finally land on Earth, the area they’ll land in is swarmed by SHIELD agents and Avengers members. Remembering how they left, Team Iron Man and the now-realized criminal trio of Ella, Killer shrike and Unicorn are backed into a corner. Gene steps up with the Makluan Rings, saying he’ll teleport the four of them back to his Family’s shop and the Mandarin’s base while Team Iron Man attempt to diffuse the situation.

Ella decides to go out. She made mistakes and would rather make up for them than run around and try to get out of it, and Shrike and Unicorn decide to go with, much to everyone’s surprise.

The three are arrested for charges of public endangerment and acts of terrorism, SHIELD taking the three to the Helicarrier. Howard arrives on the scene to welcome Tony, barely missing as SHIELD takes Ella into one of their airships.

Howard and Tony go up onto the Helicarrier to plead for Ella’s freedom, but are stuck in a waiting room over looking the interrogation room where Director Fury is speaking with Ella. The room is reinforced, almost unnecessarily for an unarmed teenager. Howard and Tony can’t hear anything going on, but Fury is grilling Ella for everything about what’s happened, from the plane crash to Infinity. And as she explains, he reminds her of the damage she’s caused and asks how she intends to make up for it.

And honestly. That’s about as far as I’ve gotten. I don’t really know what do do from here, Ella probably gets her shit figured out and becomes a member of the Avengers or something. I dunno, but I’ve had this drafted for like two years now and I’ve been holding onto this until now, but this is probably the longest post on this site but whatever, have it. Maybe I’ll make more, i dunno. But you should totally watch Iron Man Armored Adventures. It’s good. Thanks, bye

The Helping Hand

Summary: Y/N Krast Illegitimate Daughter of Tony Stark. Product of an unwanted teen pregnancy. What would Howard Stark be capable of doing to assure his sons future? What will happen when Tony meets our Beautiful, young, genius, rich philanthropist.

Back Story

(AU Howard and Maria Stark were not killed by the Winter Soldier.)

Your name is Y/N Krast First Born Daughter of Tony Stark. Sent away by Howard and Maria Stark. You being the result of an unwanted teen pregnancy. You don't know who your mother or father are. Howard Stark secretly kept in contact with you, until he passed.

Howard gave you a comfortable life and a bountiful trust fund that you gained access to on your 18th Birthday also the year he died. You are a Genius having finished college and high school at the same time with a master’s in Computer Engineering with a minor in Biology.

After Howards’ death, you were lost… you decided to help others. Thinking that maybe that would help you feel a semblance of happiness. You went to the one place you knew people needed help Sokovia.

You weren't there for long when you realized that you loved being there. The people and the culture were so welcoming and loving… at least towards you. The people definitely had their reservations, but you didn't mind.

You did as much as you could… you lived a simple life. Gave up the luxury in which you were raised and traded it for a small two-bedroom apartment that you shared with a friend who needed help with the rent. You opened a medical facility it was by no means the best but it could do the job.

You taught people basic medical procedures, not surgery… but everyday accidents and the occasional riot scene. Stitches and patch-up jobs.

"Hey, y/n what do you want me to do with these boxes here?" You look at him confused when you realize what he is holding.

"Umm… just leave them there I want to go through them before I leave." David gives you a fond look as he moves to sit next to you. "It's crazy to hear you say that… It seems like just yesterday you were that fresh-faced kid trying to help people."

You clear your throat as you see where the conversation is heading. "Don't go getting all sentimental on me… not now David." You give David a reassuring smile, but to your luck, he doesn't buy it. Now looking at you more seriously he says "Y/N it’s ok. We all understand why you're leaving, no one is mad or angry, just sad you will be missed around here."

You feel your eyes start to water and you quickly turn away from David trying to hide your tears to no avail. "It's just that I’m going to miss this too." He holds your shoulders and turns you to face him. He holds your face, the tears building in his own eyes, and pulls you into a hug.

"You will always be welcome back, you hear me. Now we are both going to stop crying on the count of 3… and were going to pretend that didn't just happen alright." You nod your head slowly agreeing to the terms you collect yourself. What David and you had is the closest thing either of you had to family. He pulled away slowly but determined.

"Okay, no more sad stuff alright… the town wants to throw you a going-away party. And you can't say no they just want to say goodbye." You sigh a smile slowly forming on your face and agree. After all, it had been two wonderful years in which you found yourself.

You are interrupted when you hear a knock at the door. It was rather startling but you've grown used to it by now. Shortly after the loud bangs, you called knocks you hear the door open and close. "How are my two favorite people in the world doing?"

Vivian or Viv for short. "Just peachy" you reply, hearing her laugh at your snarky reply. "I'm in my room and David went out to get things situated for the party."

"Oh well, I just came here to… well you know say goodbye. You are my best friend and I will not forget what you did for me and for my family."

You walk out of your room wearing black jeans and a leather jacket. "You know I would do it again in a heartbeat." Viv hums disapprovingly trying to play it off buy fails. "You see that's exactly what I'm afraid of. You jumped into that building because you didn't care if you did. As heroic as it might seem it was suicidal and we both know it."

You stumble looking for the words " I umm… I was there's no point in lying, but it's not like that anymore." She nods subtlely but you see it in her eyes she's relieved. You take the "out" and change the subject.

"Come on Viv lighten up it's my last night here and we're missing out on my own party." You nudge her and within seconds you get out of your apartment and into the streets that have seen you grow into the person you now are.

The party was more than you deserved… There were home-cooked meals and homemade desserts. People that you have grown to be acquainted with saying goodbye and wishing you luck. You can't help but thank them all sincerely. Once the party is over you head back home with David taking in the last of your stay here.

Once in your apartment you hesitate but end up calling David to your room. "I don't know if you noticed but I never unpacked this box. It was Howard's stuff." David's eyes open showing his surprise. "The Howard… why didn't you open it."

You sigh not knowing exactly why you didn't "Well we're opening it tonight." You make your way to the box and as if you were a wild animal you ravage the package open not realizing how much you actually wanted to open the box.

As you analyze the things in the box your eyes begin to water. There are pictures and mementos of your greatest moments stored in a single place. There's a picture of when you first met Howard you were 11. You chuckle lightly causing David to Burst out laughing. "I umm… I'm sorry but you were one ugly kid." You playfully slap his arm.

"I was, wasn't I. Howard saved me you know in this picture I had just gotten out of the worst foster home I'd ever been in." You'd never said much about your time in the system so David let you talk. "They would hit us, starve us, and some were even sexually assaulted."

David processes what you had just confessed to him realizing that it's probably not even half of what you've been through. "Howard was my saving grace… I was quite the ugly kid inside and out. I was a kid that had no hope in the world, but Howard changed that."

David collects his thoughts and says "I'd say he did a damn good job you brought hope to everyone here… you know kids here aspire to be like you… you are a great role model." You give him a sincere smile and give him a hug.

"David, I'm going to miss you, but it's time for me to go. Never doubt calling me for anything no matter how big or small. And I hope that you and Viv continue the work in the practice. Also, you know that Viv likes you, give her a chance. I don't want either of you to be alone… be alone together. Also she could help you with the rent of the place." Your say laughing. "Now go to bed and we'll leave early tomorrow."

David chuckles while leaving your room. When you hear his door close you continue looking through the things in the box.

Flashback

"Krast come downstairs there's someone here to see you." You jump up startled and cautiously make your way downstairs. You hear part of a conversation but don't invest yourself. You're too frightened when you get to where you heard voices there is a man standing there.

"Ah, you must be the young Y/N Krast. How are you, I'm Howard." You don't reply but rather look at Mr. Evans who nods ever so slightly giving you your cue. "I’m doing well." He's silent for a moment then continues "I hear you're quite the genius." You simply nod. When Mr. Evans decides to cut in rather tactlessly.

"Well, Mr. Howard is here to take you to a new home." You look at him incredulously then turning to Howard and asking him quite bluntly "Are you adopting me?"

Howard simply says "Not exactly, but you will have a family to care for you." The look in his eyes gives you some reassurance. That same afternoon he took you to "your new home."

You quickly find out what he meant by "Not exactly" while you were living in a better home, you were being raised by employees. Howard would come around every week a couple of times. You both enjoyed each other's company and quickly you grew fond of him.

"Y/N hurry up we're going to be late" Howard yelled "Yup im coming, you know if you'd given more than a couple hours heads up id be ready." Howard only chuckles and let that comment slide. You both knew that was a lie.

End Flashback

The morning went by rather quickly. Now you're on the tarmac waiting for your plane to arrive. David was holding your hand while neither of you mentioned it you could not have been more grateful.

"You go and kill em all. Alright I want to see you in a magazine or something. And don't forget to mention me as the greatest inspiration, your daily motivation, and the drive behind you."

You can only chuckle "Those aren't the words I would use to describe you but you are the best." You jug him and wave him off as you board your plane. You cant help but feel guilty as you're currently lying to everyone you care about, but there's no going back now.

Stolen Jeep - Part I

Ok hear me out

Bucky Barnes and Howard Stark, bros to lovers, set in the Captain Carter “What If” timeline

(Because I have an uncontrollable urge to make everything gay. Sorry, can’t help it.)

“Bet you won’t steal that jeep.” Stark baits Barnes with a quirk of the brows.

Bucky hits Howard with a look - brooding Barnes meets scheming Stark, and there’s *sparks* that neither of them are gonna talk about.

“Oh yeah?”

“Oh yeah.”

So of course Bucky steals the damn jeep and Stark is thrilled, because he’s finally gotten one of these stiff ass army punks to dick around with him.

Not like dick around, he doesn’t mean it literally, but...you know what, I’m just gonna stop talking.

They whisk off swole!Peggy & scrawny!Steve in the stolen jeep, stocked up with a buncha also-stolen whiskey (Barnes is a rascal, and Stark is loving. it.) with plans to steal one last thing - just one moment where it doesn’t feel like they have the entire world on their shoulders.

They end up parked on this overlook with glittering stars as far as they can see, and of course in no time, Peggy and Steve meander off to make eyes at each other and talk vaguely around their feelings with that overused dance metaphor, leaving Howard to catch Bucky’s eyes and waggle his brows suggestively at their two friends’ retreat.

“Don’t get too frisky!” he calls out devilishly at Peggy and Steve’s ebbing figures. “We still got a war to get back to!”

Bucky tilts back his head and howls, bottle of whiskey dangling from his fingers. He can just imagine Steve’s cherry blush.

“She’s gonna break ‘im,” he says, and Stark joins in on his cackling.

“Hell, I’d let her break me,” Stark jokes. Barnes smirks.

“Yeah? You like ‘em buff?”

If that sounds suggestive, then Bucky’s blaming it on the alcohol and not on how the air suddenly seems thicker between the two of them.

Because, look. Bucky’s a dude in his prime, but being in the army - there ain’t much of a chance for some action, you know? And we’re not talking frontline, Hydra-busting, gun-toting action here.

But, like, Bucky’s dick’s been real dry lately.

And he’s always been...not a homo, because he can appreciate a dame real good but, ya know, he can appreciate a lot of other things too.

Like a lot of different kinds of people.

Fellas. He could appreciate some fellas.

Not that he’d ever say it out loud (not that he ever could; they’d boot him back to the States so quick he wouldn’t have a chance to pack). But there were a few nights he found his arms wrapped around Steve to, you know, comfort a friend but maybe he enjoyed it a little more than that.

All that to say - Buck’s drunk and constantly horny and he can recognize a handsome man when he sees one.

And Stark - yeah, he’s handsome. A little smarmy but good looking.

Speaking of Stark, he’s smirking now too at Barnes�� suggestion as he gives a coy shrug and a quick sweep of the Sergeant’s frame.

“I like ‘em all sorts of ways.”

Because c’mon, you can’t tell me playboy hedonism isn’t in the Stark genes and just because he doesn’t fondue with Peggy doesn’t me he hasn’t fondued with fongirls and fondudes and everyone outside and in-between. He’s a rich and charming New Yorker, dammit, who came of age during the Roaring 20s.

Like y’all really think alcohol was the only thing people were sneaking during those Prohibition parties. Sexual fluidity wasn’t invented in the 21st century; just talked about more.

Now Howard’s definitely gonna eventually settle down with a lady - that’s ultimately more his speed. But in the meantime...how does that one saying go?

All’s fair in love and war.

And they’re in the middle of a pretty big war right now.

So yeah, Stark’s drunk and he’s feeling mischievous and Barnes is all ruggedly handsome in a way that he can really appreciate. He’s always liked a square jaw.

And Bucky likes ‘em a little delicate and real mouthy.

So when Peggy and Steve make their way back to the look-out, hands slotted together after finally getting that kiss - quick and chaste but so sweet - they find Stark and Barnes fucking in the back of that stolen jeep.

(Can’t decide if it’s “Brokeback Mountain,” all-the-way-fucking-in, 0 to 100 style or if it’s a gentle arthouse hand job à la “Moonlight” - I’ll let y’all decide.)

“Guess we can’t return that jeep now,” Steve quips.

*Cue trombone whomp-whomp sfx. Marvel’s 20 minute credit sequence starts to roll*

oh my god okay i’ve been so fucking wrapped up in both ironhusbands and sambucky and absolutely nothing else for WEEKS because of tfatws (obviously if you have seen my endless spam of reblogs but can you BLAME ME) and the portal closed has ironhusbands so i’ve been just. oh my god i am happily drowning in this and them and i do not need nor want air. ok.

also these are all hc’s based just in canon not au, and lol warning this got so long help me, though my brain is so scrambled from tfatws finale that all sambucky thoughts are scrambled and jumbled so i wasn't able to coordinate them as well as ironhusbands so the ironhusbands section is definitely longer pfighf i'm so sorry i'm like this

when they met at mit tony didnt know shit. like. like nothing. he didnt know a single god damn thing about anything. like he was a genius he could solve any equation given to him and baffled professors when he was handed like two supposedly impossible equations to this fuckin fourteen year old and he just looked at them with like a mcdonalds burger or some shit hanging out of his mouth and just answered them no problem, but he was still such a hopeless idiot, and rhodey, also a genius attending as a sixteen year old, had to teach him the basics of life, like. making toast. tony how do NOT know how to make toast. its TOAST. you put it in the TOASTER. have you NEVER SEEN A—OH MY GOD HOW DID YOU FUCKING CATCH IT ON FIRE—

he does not perfect the clearly impossible task of making toast until he is 17 and rhodey buys him a cake to celebrate the momentous occasion even though tony went though 528 toasters

you are gold by the national parks. thats it. thats all i have to say. listen to the song and look up the lyrics. you’ll get it.

and also paper planes by jon bellion but specifically for after rhodey tells tony he’s gonna join the air force and tony is worried but doesnt know how to show it and they have like a chill night in and all tony can think about is how stupid he is and how he’s such a coward because he cant get himself to tell rhodey that hi!! i love u!! and im scared to lose u and that you’ll get hurt and maybe die or smth!!

when rhodey finds out about how tony was raised (going with mcu, where tony wasnt physically abused but more emotionally neglected and ignored by howard and always talked down to and compared to others and wasnt treated like he was worthy and never was told he was loved and everything like that) he gets PISSED. like he is MONUMENTALLY angry. and it takes YEARS for him to find out about this too. and it actually puts a bit of a strain on their friendship for awhile when they meet too

like rhodey knows about the starks obviously and he assumes tony is going to be this obnoxious arrogant rich boy asshole and is so not looking forward to being roommates but he was raised to have an open mind and give everyone a chance, but tony was raised to be wary of everyone and keep his walls up and his emotions in shackles because whatever he shows can be used against him, so they clash, you know? they dont fight or anything but theres tension bc it isnt right and they dont get each other.

rhodey tries to be nice and tony doesnt understand nice because his only example of nice is jarvis and his mom and even then his mom and jarvis are always off with his dad so he barely sees them so its still rare for him to experience the nice of them so he doesnt know how to be around someone nice all the time, and so he gets defensive and thinks about how howard drilled it into him to be wary and he thinks maybe rhodey isnt ACTUALLY nice but someone PRETENDING to be

and rhodey starts to feel justified in assuming the worst about tony stark because tony is all cold and distant and rude and is about to stop the keeping an open mind thing about a month into their first year but then he comes back to their dorm early from class one day and tony doesnt come in so rhodey is just standing there and watches for a minute as tony sits there staring down at his twenty sixth attempt at a letter he wants to send his mom becauss he knows his mom likes letters even though he could just call but they havent really called him (howards fault but he’s fourteen still and its hard to rationalize that howards busy life and controlling thumb extends past his son) and rhodey is just confused because tony just suddenly sighs and sniffles a bit and murmurs “this is so stupid” and crumbles up the paper and throws it in the garbage and rhodey cant help but peer into it and barely sees the words hey mom scribbled at the top and that. that. hm. okay.

so rhodey keeps trying because he wasnt supposed to see that but he did and now he kind of has a feeling that maybe tony isnt all that cold and distant and rude as he seems, maybe he just doesnt really know how to be any different, so he thinks about all the subtle little ways that his family has shown him they care about him and starts to invite tony to go get food or to study together even though neither of them really need to study or to help each other with assignments or just anything thats mundane enough to not raise suspicion but still starts to open the door and make tony relax around him just that little bit and then before tony realizes it the end of their first year is there and theyre like friends or something and it hits him that he’s gonna miss rhodey.

for the first time ever there’s someone other than his mom and jarvis that he’s actually going to miss.

rhodey grins at him and says that they’ll be roommates again next year because they have to be and that the summer will be over before they know it and the sentiment is nice but tony spends the summer alone wandering around a house too big and empty after being in a dorm that’s small and has a friend.

but rhodey doesn’t know this. like he knows that tony isn’t the kind of guy he originally assumed but he doesn’t know that he’s literally ignored and neglected and like emotionally and sometimes verbally abused so he’s kind of surprised when the next year begins and they DO end up being roommates again (because tony kind of asked his mom, on a rare day when he got to see her and howard wasnt around, to get mit to make sure they could be) and tony just HUGS him like its been years and they’ve known each other forever but he goes with it and hugs him back because maybe tony’s just more affectionate once he gets to know someone and rhodey is okay w that.

they get closer as the years go by and they graduate from mit together and they’re BEST friends and at the end of the year rhodey invites tony to spend new years eve w his family but tony cant bc howard is having some kind of gala starting at 5 because hes weird and dumb and tony hates it and he also isnt given the option of not going even though he doesnt want to but the entire way there howard drills into him about not fucking up and berates him for all the times he has in the past and when they get there tony is already just not feeling it so he’s like nope!! no!! i simply cannot!!

so he goes in and finds an exit thats in the back and he leaves and finds a fucking payphone of all things and he has rhodeys home number memorized for years now and he calls and someone he doesnt knoe answers and theres music in the background and voices and tony’s entire stomach is in his throat and his heart is sunken into his twisted gut because he just wanted one night where maybe he could smile next to his parents and feel like he fit with them but he couldnt have that and he asks to talk to rhodey and then he is and asks if its too late to accept his invite and rhodey is like yeah of course do u need my address bc its still only 5 pm and its a 2 hour drive between south philadelphia and manhattan so he’d make it with plenty of time before it got to midnight so yay

and tony is like. oh. hm. i dont know how to drive actually. that was a thing that no one ever thought to teach me even though i asked about it about ten million times. and rhodey is used to tony not knowing how to do things that most people their age can (see: the toast) and plus its not uncommon for people from new york to not drive anyway so he doesnt think anything of it and instead asks for tony’s address to come pick him up instead and they’d still make it back by like 9-9:30 so that would work too

and thats when tony is like. well.

about that.

he might be calling from a payphone.

on a random street corner.

and its kind of raining. and he’s cold. and he’s a bit dulled out from everything so he doesn’t really think about the fact that admitting this is going to lead to having to explain what happened and also why and that is happens often. but that doesnt matter because he kind of just wants to be with his best friend and not back at that gala with his dad right now.

rhodey is like,,, ok. ok. wheres a coffee shop nearby u can wait in. and tony thankfully is by a 24 hour one and tells him the name and the street corner its closest to and rhodey is like i’ll be there asap and tony goes and he waits.

a two hour drive turns into an hour and a half because rhodey is Worried™

but when he walks in tony goes from being all dulled out to being all HOLY SHIT because rhodey has a SPLIT LIP and he’s like WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED WHAT THE FUCK WHAT

and rhodey’s like no no its good my uncle was having fun and trying to wrestle with me and he accidentally elbowed me its all good man dont worry about it

tony isnt used to accidentally being hurt tho so he’s still like hmmm but he takes rhodeys word on it and they head out and tony wont say what happened or why he was calling from a payphone ?? which btw tony literally only was able to do bc there happened to be dropped change on the ground because boy would not have change on him ok, but rhodeys like alright lets go with this for now

so they gets to the rhodes house and it is in full swing with family and extended family and adopted family bc they are 100% the family that just adopts the neighborhood kids and the people who have no one else and like ex boyfriends and ex girlfriends even after the relationship ends bc they still are family despite not dating whoever it was they had been dating in order to be introduced to them so its a LOT of people and tony is like. this is semi familiar in terms a lot of people but this is NOTHING like what he has ever seen before holy fucking SHIT

rhodey is just like oh u have a small family then? so ur used to smaller gatherings?

and tonys like wtf are gatherings

and rhodey is starting to get a feel for what might be wrong but just takes tony inside to get him changed because he’s not spending new years eve at the rhodes house in a fucking expensive suit ok

tony is completely out of his element and like he’s not the only white guy there bc again the rhodes adopt people and those people are of every race and nationally you can imagine but he just isnt used to the vibe there are people laughing and sitting close together and playing games and theres music playing but not like classy music its music people can dance to and are dancing to and the food isnt the food he’s used to at galas and shit and nothing is what he’s used to and he just sticks to rhodey’s side like a fucking lost puppy and tries his best not to look like an idiot when rhodey introduces him to people and a lot of them know who he is but dont judge him or assume shit about him bc obviously if he’s friends w rhodey then he’s a good guy and they want to know him and thats enough

but tony is v overwhelmed bc what the FUCK IS HAPPENING this is nothing like anything he has ever experienced EVER

so eventually rhodey can tell he’s getting overwhelmed and takes him inside and lets him have a breather and then asks him about whats going in and thats when rhodey learns about what tonys life at home is really like and. anger.

SO MUCH anger

because not only has every single assumption he has ever made about tony been proven wrong, but now he knows that the best person he knows has never been treated the way he deserves and has never known a true home and comfort and love and safety and

and he’s gonna fix it

and this is the first step

so he takes tony back out and they’re still just friends but this is the day they both quietly realize they might kind of definitely like each other as more because tony is still so confused by the fact that what he knows isnt the normal and overwhelmed by how much there is and how different it is but rhodey holds his hand as a grounding point and whenever it might be too much they move off to the side where they arent completely gone but its less hectic and a bit more quiet and its just nice

tony goes to rhodeys house for every holiday despite whatever howard says

rhodey decks howard the only time they ever meet before tonys parents die and he has the most shit eating grin on his face afterwards that tony cant help but lose his shit laughing his ass off

anyway i didnt mean to ramble for so long about that specific idea so i’ll end the ironhusbands ramble with this one last thought, which is as follows:

rhodey gets hurt in the air force at some point, and it isnt that bad tbh but he does have to go the hospital and shit and gets stitches or whatever idk i dont know what specifically happens i just think it’d be just bad enough that it takes him a few weeks to be able to go back to work but he’s not like OH GOD HURT yk?

but like stated above tony was scared and worried when rhodey told him he was gonna go into the air force so he hears about this and they’re probably like almost 30 at this point because they’re dumb and it takes them forever to get their heads out of their asses (i say this even though in the portal closed it takes them even longer but i digress) rhodey has like his mon his sister his niece visiting him and they were worried but they know hes fine so theyre just talking and in a good mood and then—

door slams open. tony stark enter stage left. disheveled suit, fresh from a meeting he definitely was not supposed to leave, having flown in from maibu the second he heard and then had happy drive him and then got impatient because of traffic and ended up sprinting like ten blocks while happy was like what the FUCK

of course rhodeys family are well aware that these idiots are desperately in love with each other so they’re just like lol ok and just leave the room while tony starts fretting over him like he’s about to die himself if he doesnt know if rhodey is okay and rhodey is like tony tony dude tones stop tony im okay tony stop it

until finally tony just fucking breaks down like full on tears in his eyes voice cracking hands clasped as he leans against rhodeys bed and tells him that he was so scared and he is so scared all the time whenever rhodey is out there because all he can think about is losing him and him getting hurt or dying and it’s maddening and this is when they get their heads out of their asses and kiss for the first time

(irony at its finest bc later when they are married and tony becomes iron man rhodey refuses to not have a suit of his own because if tony is going out there in a metal flying tin can then he isn’t going alone and wow what a power couple)

firstly i’m going to go post tfatws, but i’ll make a bullet point before going into it so if you wanna read up until that point you can but most of this will be random little headcanons based post tfatws

also it isnt like a whole plotline thing like the ironhusbands ones ended up being these ones are more random and kinda all over the place but loosely connected

update from after writing this: i lied

let me start by saying my interpretation of why they are the way they are in civil war is because of steve

thats not saying steve is the bad guy i mean to say that they’re jealous of each other because they thought that THEY were steve’s best friend who the fuck is THIS guy i dont want him here go away

children. they are children.

which i find very funny to imagine from sams pov because he literally is a licensed therapist and would 100% recognize why he’s acting how he is but he’s petty enough to do it anyway

and also he literally was helping steve track bucky down but i like to imagine that sam didnt think they’d ever really find him again and it’d just make him and steve like super mega best friends or something because hes a CHILD

and then from bucky’s pov steve goes through all this trouble to find him and protect him and then this random guy is acting like steve’s best friend and gets to sit in the front seat ??? bullshit. absolutely bullshit. worst thing ever. so stupid.

its so funny to me okay its SO funny

its like that schoolyard thing where your friend makes another friend and you hate it so much that you do something stupid like color on their drawing or put gum in their hair or whatever but they’re adults with 1. super soldier serum or 2. a superhero reputation/avengers status and suit with wings. so thats a thing.

post civil war i dont think they get much yk. because bucky is out in cryo and team cap is on the run and i doubt theyre able to return to wakanda much, if at all, and then it’s infinity war and then it’s endgame and after endgame there’s the aftermath and the aftermath is a mess

i like to think they have some moments before tfatws though. not many but enough for that slight foundation thats we can kind of see in episode 2 yk.

okay NOW it gets into post tfatws so!!

SO post tfatws everything is different because now they not only have spent all this time together, but they understand each other in a way that they didn’t before. in a way no one ever has. not even steve, who may have known them before, but he isn’t here anymore and he wouldn’t understand who they are now vs who they were before and it’s different.

bucky finds comfort in sam’s home town. sam finds comfort in watching bucky find a home there and he doesnt know why.

also sam treats redwing like a puppy and lets him fly around on his own and gets pet and stuff and bucky acts annoyed but the longer it happens you can tell he’s like “oh my god why is this thing endearing”

bucky has nightmares and sam knows this but bucky doesnt know that sam also has nightmares until one night when they’re still in sams home town and they’re staying on the boat because sams nephews are having a sleepover with some friends and they didnt want to get in the way or smth idk i just want an excuse for them to be on the boat and somewhat secluded from people but bucky already woke up from his nightmare and is out on the deck to get some fresh out and then oop

sam havin a nightmare too

because fucking of COURSE sam has nightmares he has been through some shit too!! not being able to catch riley and everything that happened since meeting steve and thanos and he turned to dust alone in the bushes ok like yes everyone that died were traumatized undoubtedly (peter my baby boy baby im so sorry that you got the worst of it) but bucky was around people but sam was laying on the ground and probably just watched his hands as he disappeared and he was alone and like. jesus christ ok.

and then steve trusted him with every weight and everything that comes with the shield not knowing how much more the shield has when he gave it to a black man and just like he has nightmares everyone in marvel does its a fact

but bucky finds out like this and he is shocked even though he realizes he probably should have been able to guess that this is a thing and he knows so much more about sam now than he ever did but this is how he learns more. he learns about riley. he learns so much.

sometimes bucky has those like “oh shit” moments where he’s like “maybe i was kind of a dick to someone who didnt deserve it” and he already had one of those with sam about the shield but he has another one because he assumed shit about sam when they were being all childish and jealous about someone else being friends with steve but like fuck

steve and sam probably got it

the not catching someone. the way it felt to try and to reach out and to miss and to have to choice but to watch as they fell.

what’s different is that steve got bucky back. he got to have that relief, eventually, even if there was the pain of knowing bucky had been taken by hydra, but at least he knew bucky had made it.

sam didn’t have that. riley didnt make it.

therefore, bucky has his “oh shit”

and bucky was already going soft around the edges with sam (as clearly seen in the last two episodes of tfatws, ESPECIALLY the finale because like did tou SEEZ ALL THE HEART EYES oh my GOD) but it’s this that really makes something in him melt and he just. he loses the last remnants of whatever tension or resentment or whatever negative feeling he may have been clutching onto.

there wasnt much left. but now theres none. now its all washed away.

its gone, and he gets it.

sam is a licensed therapist and he knew the reason he was being all dumb and childish and jealous with bucky was because steve had another best friend but also because steve’s other best friend was the guy that had been a big factor in how him and steve understood each other and how they bonded and it

it had kind of felt like they lost part of that when they found bucky again in civil war and he kind of wanted to blame bucky for it even though he didnt actually blame him at all so all it translated to was that dumb kind of jealous thing instead

but now it’s just them. its sam and bucky and it isnt steve and it isnt about steve and it shouldnt be because its about them. its about the boat and the water and the way they sit and watch the waves while the silence settles over them and the way that bucky says, “im sorry.”

its the way sam says, “me too.”

and bucky says, “you dont have to be.”

its the way they stay there until sarah comes to get them for breakfast and sams nephews convince them to play with them and their friends and the world is still shit and there is so much to do but

but its this and its them and that can wait

it can wait

they can take their time if they want to

maybe they’ve earned that much, at least

(it isn't a fast development because they're a complicated pair and there's so much to the two of them that need to figured out individually before they can even realize how well they work together, but the steps are so much easier knowing that they have the other in their corner and bucky knows that sam's home town is a place he's welcome to go and sam helps him make his own dreary little apartment into something that feels real and tangible with a bed and a couch and when they've become something that resembles stable and they've found a balance and they're okay, that's when they realize that maybe they can try for the more that sometimes bubbles under their skin and that they started to think about the more they spend time together. the warmth that sam feels every time he sees bucky playing games with his nephew and the smile that bucky has to fight to hide and still can't fully suppress when sam stands tall and proud with the shield in its rightful place, and it takes time, it takes work, it takes carefully placed bricks to build the foundation they need, but they get there, and when they do...

when they do, they're already happy, and it just makes them happier, and that's what makes it so much better.

might fuck around and make a list of tony’s alters*!! right now. why not. its hard to differentiate but i could take some stabs in the dark. ok this got long so its under a cut.

mark aside (because ive said enough about him), there’s at least the two who look young, no surprise. there’s probably at least one more young one (younger, with more focus on home/family/howard trauma) but he wouldn’t be relevant to this whole... plot, anyway. but we do see one who looks to be in boarding school, so under 15, and a slightly older one who still looks ~young, i want to say 17-20ish?? and he’s very “look how fine and okay we are! our life is awesome!” but is literally in a racing suit as if fast cars aren’t somewhere he gravitates mid breakdown. i love that for him. very in character.

there’s also uhh. cave!tony, actively bandaged. he absolutely never left the cave, and wont. theres no... yknow. there’s no adjusting to that that’s a clean split kind of thing. i dont know how long 616 was in the cave but i’m assuming also a couple of months?? like mcu?? more than long enough to end up with a permanent split who can’t really... i mean we all know he didn’t like. get therapy. he cant reintegrate. he’s probably either the old host who “died” in the cave, or he split in that environment, but either way, he doesn’t make it out.

there’s at least two iron man splits, the sort of... early grey one and the red&gold one are shown, and i dont know enough about early comics canon to make a guess at why they’re distinct, exactly, but i’m guessing some sort of near-death-or-actual-death event that puts a nice clean line in between them. or a team change, could be less dramatic than that? unless the grey one’s JUST the mark I, in which case nvm because the difference then is obvious. escape vs be a hero, you’d need two. notably theres not a super modern iron man split shown, i’m assuming once he stopped doing the secret identity thing that stopped being a split type he’d need, but prior to that he’d need an active, functional iron man split at all times. and he’s got at least the two. (whether or not you want to call mark an iron man split... shrugs! he’s not quite the same tho, since his job is not to pilot the suit, necessarily.)

there’s an actively drunk one, and he’s an important split, because he’s obviously going to hold onto a lot of the desire to drink/etc. i know tony does the “keep a bottle nearby to figure out how bad he’s doing” thing but honestly that’s also a “how close is this tony” meter, imo. he’s necessary but he’s also, generally, possible to keep away. if he’s holding onto the majority of that impulse it’d be, honestly... well i think it’d look like the way tony approaches his alcoholism actually (and the whole crown meant specifically to control, yknow, hulk, in ts:im? was also clearly aimed at this one, on tony’s end.)

we’ve got this very coherent seeming business-y tony also, who i’d peg as “The Tony Stark” -- as in, the face, the name, the one who’s “on.” especially in the early days when the “host” tony was drinking, having a split whos job is company things, PR things, etc, that’s going to go a long way. he seems like that, but i’m stabbing in the dark. i could be missing sth obvious.

we’ve also got the one in eScape in ts:im who doesn’t show up on the page in im2020 but because the kid shows up in both, i’m really... willing to extend this to him also. he has no reason to show up re: mark anyway but he seems coherent and specific and extremely out of time. probably an old host but cut after the alcoholism spiraled out of control? since he clearly drinks without much concern. but, fwiw, he doesn’t seem to line up totally cleanly with any “real” time period, and was actively being manipulated by motherboard, so...? i dont know.

i’d argue there’s also The One Who Died In Civil War II but he wouldn’t show up in this whole convincing-mark thing because. well. he’s “dead.” like hes in there but he’s Deactivated, so to speak. host change.

the new tony, post-mark, is someone distinct! new host. but a shaky one so far and i think this tracks with what i’ve read of iron man vol 6 also (which is only whats on MU), tony has no idea what he wants or what he’s doing but he’s trying a bunch of things, that are all very different from what he was doing before but also falling back on things that are familiar, like hosting big parties, even when it’s incompatible with his new goals. this would track with it being a whole host-switch since pre-CWII and post-mark tony are just... not going to be the same person, imo.

i am on the fence a little about if ts:im tony and IM vol6 tony are the same person or not, and i was leaning towards “yes” because i feel like ts:im tony didn’t have enough time to stabilize, like, there were too many breakdown events happening in rapid succession while mark was building up in the background. but he had a relationship with jan that was going well, he was really trying with the eScape, etc, so i want to give him that distinctness, at least, and IM vol6 tony also did the thing where he changes his appearance up a bunch, which is kind of a red flag for host changes, especially... right after the year-long interruption that was mark’s whole... thing.

i’d have to read a LOT more comics to say any more than this, because i’m sure i’m missing some obvious ones who should exist but aren’t present/relevant re: mark. but. here are some of my thoughts anyway!!!! tony& gives me life.

Hey fam here's a deep dive of AoS 7x04 including justification of the time travel by a branching timelines believer and lots of Peggy Carter love & appreciation

I definitely feel better about this whole situation now that we've seen 7x04 than I did when we just had the preview. But still. Ughhhhhh I'm just. Conflicted.

They're not sticking to Endgame's time travel rules at all and ik some people didn't like Endgame's time travel but I don't really have issues with it. And even still there's the debate of whether or not Steve (does this debate expand outside Steve arguments? Idk but you get it) is in a branched timeline. Personally, I think he is. For people who think he's not, Shield's time travel, especially with Sousa, is probably easier to take. But for a while I was willing to go with the theory, my own theory idk if it's been mentioned here or not, that since they're using a different time travel method in AoS, and one that was invented by space robots Chronicoms, then they have different rules that limit them to a looped timeline. But now, idk does bringing Sousa into it disprove that?

So he was supposed to die. That's in the history books. They saved him. Which means we're in a loop that can be altered. Ok fine, but that's only because we're using Chronicom time travel. Tony Stark time travel still created branches. So what branch are we in? We have two choices right? Timeline A, which we see throughout the entire MCU, and timeline '49 B, the one Steve created when he went back to Peggy. If it's in the history books that Coulson and the team read that Sousa died, I would assume we're in timeline A. But where's Peggy? Personally I'm not the biggest peggysous stan (basically I ship steggy and in timeline A where she can't get him back, as long as she's happy I'm happy. If that means Daniel, great.) but I'm sure those who are aren't super happy with Shield basically confirming that they didn't make it. I'm sure the only reason they did that was to be able to pull him out of 1955 so I'm not really mad at it. If they had just had him pop in real quick in the 50s and left him there I would have rathered they leave it ambiguous but since that's not what they did I'm not too bitter.

Anyway, I saw a close up of the fake id they made for Jemma when she was undercover as Peggy. It listed her rank as 'agent.' You could say that's a prop mistake but I also noticed that no one has referred to her as 'director.' But she absolutely should be. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Peggy was the first director right? That's always what me, my brother, and my dad, aka everyone in my household who are Marvel fans, thought and we're pretty sure they said it at some point somewhere. And in the Agent Carter one shot (which admittedly has a lot of continuity issues anyway but i think the principle of it stands) Howard said about Peggy "tell her she'll be running Shield." I've always gotten the impression that she was director from the time Shield launched. If someone could give me solid proof that she was or wasn't I'd appreciate it. But as long as there's no proof I'm assuming that she was. That's what I'm going with in the rest of this post anyway lol.

Overall im just confused as to what the writers think they're doing lol. From what I've seen, they started shooting season 7 two months before Endgame premiered so it was written even further before. That sucks because at the time of the writing they didn't know they had all of this to deal with. At least I assume they didn't know bc it seems like there's no communication behind the scenes since no one got dusted before and now we're messing around with time travel. But I also wonder if Endgame hadn't premiered by the time they were shooting the 50s episodes. I have no idea though. If it had, were there changes? Did they have to take out mentions of Peggy, or did Enver maybe act it with the Steggy ending in mind? Because I personally don't want the writers or anyone thinking that Steve was always in a loop therefore this season is jumping around in the same loop and Daniel was left by Peggy for Steve. I can deal with a looped timeline in AoS bc of the Chronicoms and them being in a loop of timeline A but I'm gonna be annoyed if they try to imply that that's not what's happening. But again it was written before Endgame came out so I don't think they'll really go that far.

This is what's really annoying me. Do they seriously think Peggy's not director? Are they saying Peggy's not director? Because they want me to believe that Daniel noticed that Shield had been infiltrated by Hydra and Peggy didn't and then one of three things happened. 1. He told the CIA but not Peggy, 2. He told Peggy but she didn't believe him, or 3. He told Peggy and she looked into it but didn't find anything. I take issue with like all of that. In scenario 1. Daniel Sousa personally knows the Director of Shield and, regardless of any awkward breakup they may of had, doesn't tell her that her government organization may be hijacked by freaking HYDRA? In scenario 2. The Director of Shield is told by the Chief of her LA branch and an agent that she worked alongside for a considerable amount of time that her government organization may be hijacked by Hydra and she doesn't listen to him, because, what, they had a messy breakup? In scenario 3. The Director of Shield, Margaret Elizabeth Carter, has reason to believe that Shield is infiltrated by Hydra, she investigates, and finds absolutely nothing out of the ordinary? None of those sound even almost reasonable. So are they not mentioning that Peggy is director because it makes Daniel's storyline more believable and convenient or am I missing something? I've lost hope that she might make an appearance but I'd appreciate some Director Carter content even in passing mentions or at least tell me who the Director is if it's not her.

Also, Daniel's death, real or not, is gonna hurt her really bad and I'm not a fan of that. I'm glad I didn't have to watch him die and I'm excited to see more of him but it's really gonna mess with Peggy. We've already seen her struggle with feeling like everyone she gets close to dies and even though at this point she's married and maybe has kids, that doesn't take away from what they had in Agent Carter, that goes beyond the romantic and into the fact that he was one of the few men who showed her even the smallest amount of respect. It's gonna hurt her and I don't like when she's hurt. Also also, I don't care about whatever Coulson said about his death being ruled an accident, Peggy is a critical thinker and 100% would have looked into it. Especially as the Director of Shield if I keep saying that maybe AoS will hear me or it'll become canon lol she wouldn't let that slide.

Basically what I'm saying is: I can talk myself into the time travel making sense, I just did lol, but while I love Daniel and getting to see him again and continue to see him in the coming episodes, it stretches the imagination a bit too far concerning Peggy and his dynamic with her. Either that or I have to be to ticked off at the writers for not knowing that Peggy is director in 1955. Or I have to be ticked at the entirety of Marvel for not making Peggy director as soon as the thing was up and running. But. That doesn't mean that this hasn't been a good season so far, it's been pretty great. And I'm very excited to see them in the 70s. And to see Daniel in the 70s. And to see my man Enoch make another appearance. I have my issues but I'm still highly enjoying all of this absolute tomfoolery sldjskdjksksjk that is all

i wanted you to be better

i feel like this is one of the moments that made me fall in love with mcu,, “i wanted you to be better” is like something you say when you truly love someone, and you truly want the best for them. “i was just trying to be like you” would play to a lot of people’s egos, and im sure (and i thought at that point for tony) that people would just be like aww you want to be like me!! and that this scene would just end there. because hell yeah some teenager looks up to me this much, I’m happy. but no, tony knows that this kind, talented kid could be amazing, and he doesn’t think it would be enough for him to just be like tony stark. i just thought this through and if someone told me they wanted to be like me and i didn’t know or care about them, i would be like oh really thanks ? but if i actually cared i would want them to be better. because i know i’m not good enough for them, they could be so much more. so yeah this was such a dad scene i swear.

of course it’s not just that that makes him say that line, and we all know that, it’s also part of tony’s self hatred (?) and that just makes this scene even better because it shows his character too. he knows all his character flaws, he thinks that he doesn’t deserve anything good because he believes that he has messed up too many times, made too many mistakes and wrong decisions to ever be good. so looking at this young kid, he couldn’t imagine anyone, much less spider man to ever look up to him, because he thinks, who could ever look up to someone like me. that’s why he paused (or I’m pretty sure he did), i think it’s surprise and shock, and he thinks through all his flaws and mistakes and he says “i wanted you to be better”. digressing a little, i think he does somehow think of peter as his responsibility, including the responsibility of teaching him well and making sure he grows up well (also shown through his constant comparison to Howard and how he’s trying to be different), and he doesn’t think that peter should have him as his role model, so he says this line to kind of tell him to find yourself better, I’m not good enough to be your role model. and tbh i think that’s also part of the reason why he takes the suit away, so that he can distance himself from this kid to not hurt him/influence him the wrong way anymore (again with that self hatred).

as for peter, i love the way tom does this scene, the desperation honestly broke my heart, like he knows he just messed up, and he definitely feels terrible because all those people could have died because of him. and then his mentor, his idol yells at him about it (justified ofc) and he’s trying so hard and all the emotions just come up and the only thing he can say, the only he thing he can be sure of at that moment, and one of the things that he has always been sure of / probably tells himself, is that he wanted to be like tony stark. peter doesn’t know tony tHat well, obviously, but he doesn’t know or care about tony’s mistakes or flaws, all he sees is a hero that saves everyone, that knows what to do, and has a kind heart. at first my reaction towards his line was a little of “oh he’s playing that card to get out of being yelled at”, but afterwards i see how disappointed he is with himself, and how he knows he’s let down his mentor, and it really adds a lot more weight to this scene :O

Tony “I am Iron Man” Stark: . . .

its been a long time since i cried like this from a movie.

i mean i understand from a like story telling pov this seems to be the only conclusive way to end this aera of the MCU cos like how could shit go sideways in future on earth and tony stark not being there to save the day as long as he lives one way or another, how make it believable that spiderman could face odds onyl he alone can overcome when the audience was more or less aware that ultimately somewhere out there tony stark was chilling in the back but could still send a technical update to help save the day.

but it hurts. so much. and it so unfair. for him who has been there for the last 10 years to save the day, building the avengers alongside steve, and now that he finally had the chance of a happily ever after with his little family, to have to make the ultimate sacrifice so everyone can have the final victory and peace except him.

as i said, i kinda understand why TPTB did this, but as a fan i was hoping they’d do it as they did at the end of the first avengers movie. we would have been ok with not seeing tony again on screen but knowing he’s living his best life in peace.

Steve Captain America Rogers: you can pass on the shield, but there’s gonna be no one like you, oh captain my captain. im happy for him and Peggy, i truly am, but it’s with the same bittersweetness as i was for frodo at the end of LotR:

some avengers endgame Thoughts cause i saw the movie yesterday and can't stop thinking about it

of course..... spoilers ahead

nebula and tony playing!!!! i just love how nebula's personality comes through without it being ooc

also... nebula carefully sitting tony up. she Cares so much :(

steve immediately going to tony :( like im a stucky kind of gal but holy shit i love them

which was completely erased in the next scene where tony drags steve up and down and after that passes out, which is a confrontation Mood

i wonder how they made tony look so skinny and sick. if it was cgi then i applaud them cause it looked so good

the way they killed thanos so fucking quickly here... i don't know how to feel lmao. like cutting the gauntlet arm and then slicing his neck... that's what we were all screaming at them during infinity war. it's good to see them learn from their mistakes, i guess ?

(can't remember the order in which things happen from now so forgive me if i make a mistake)

i told my sister "that's one of the russos!!!!!" so it took me ten seconds to realize that the russo was the gay character everyone was talking about (i thought it would be fury for no other reason than it being shocking and fury having very little to do with the plot, but)

and steve being supportive of that :( man out of time said gay rights!

carol's new hair!! holy shit!!!!!

rocket insinuating carol has been experimenting with more hairstyles... i would like to see it

thor's panic attack being used for cheap laughs was the most uncomfortable moment for me... or any scene where people only saw thor as Fat and Lazy (basically, two thirds of the movie)

so it's canon that everyone checks out steve's ass and appreciates it as a national treasure. that's all i never thought id needed.

i loved that for one moment i knew everyone on the theatre was staring at steve's ass

but seriously!!!! steve wielding AND fighting with mjolnir!!!!! couldn't stop thinking about it all day!!!!!!!!! STEVE IS WORTHY!!!!!!!

parallels to thor going for the chest. it never works babies!

and just.... this was steve's moment. steve i-can-do-this-all-day rogers really fighting with every ounce of his body and soul against the most powerful being on earth. justice for him getting knocked after touching thanos for one second in iw!

and steve getting up again! all dirty and wounded!! trembling with exhaustuation and resolution!!! with his broken shield on his arm!!!! just him facing the biggest army of the universe!!!!! so powerful

sorry to destroy this epic moment, but like, okay. people had been reintegrated to life like, twenty minutes before. and i understand that they were all confused and out of place. but sam really needed ALL that time to just... try to communicate with steve????? ok

the "avengers..." *brings mjolnir with one hand while bracing his shield with the other* "assemble" moment was... oh my God. chills all over my body.

that One Moment where steve has stormbreaker on his hand... so fucking hot

the tony and peter reunion holy shit. the hug was everything i needed! like please just hug tony stark for ages

and tony and pepper fighting together!!! that's a power couple right there

i felt it when quill looked at gamora and just... stopped. im so sad his moment was played for laughs when it was obviously such an important moment for his character

thanos was so fucking scared of wanda that he put his own troops at risk to stop her for a little while. strongest avenger right there!

and carol coming back!!!! i was like

i felt so relieved at that point. i was like "yeah thanos is fucking over what's next"

no need to talk about all the women coming together to defend peter :')

thanos getting the gauntlet again... the nonono chanting came back

fucking CAROL trying to stop him. looking at him with such a determined face, like "you can't stop me from stopping you". it was so powerful he had to snatch one stone to stop her

and strange giving him the one finger to tony.... i knew what was coming holy shit. i knew it. they knew it.

tony really proved himself there. it was his best scene on the entire mcu, don't argue with me!!!!!! the way he stood there and took all the power of the stones, unmasked, unaffected, powerful and almighty

"i am... iron man" cue to ugly sobbing

tony knew there was no other way. pepper did, too... she knew exactly what she had to tell him. she was right. tony spent all of these years moved by selfishness first, then fear, then guilt. an endless battle since thanos was on his head. but the war was over. what mattered was that he saved everyone, and he sacrificed himself for everyone. a complete 180° from last movie's ending.... wow

gotta said... peter there felt a little bit out of place for me. i think it would've been more powerful if he didn't say anything, though peter is a teenager, i can get it

his arc with steve felt unfinished, too. i would've liked to see steve's reaction as well, since tony had told him he wanted everyone back and also for his family so survive. but whatever

im not against tony killing thanos instead of gamora and nebula but i would've liked if we saw them react to his death, at least:/ like a little parallel between nebula's reaction at the beginning and the end of endgame

the One stucky interaction here was pulled from cap1 and iw. i feel betrayed

bucky Knew what steve was going to do. i wonder if steve told him before or bucky just sensed it

you can't convince me steve would go back and carelessly dance with peggy knowing his friend is being used like a weapon by hydra and bound to kill tonys parents. nah nah. it all felt wrong

Okay. I’ve allowed a night to let everything sink in. I’m ready to talk about Endgame now.

*cinemasins voice* spoilers!! (duh..)

so the wounds are still fresh. v v v v v v v v v fresh. but my thoughts during the entire movie were just OMG IM TRYING TO REMEMBER EVERY SINGLE THING THAT IS HAPPENING SO I CAN REMEMBER IT AS LONG AS POSSIBLE BEFORE i inevitably go see this movie again

This is what the movie reduce me to like 99% of the time btw

now, I’m gonna try and break this up to be as organized as possible into 4 main sections which will be general thoughts, the highs, the lows, and closing thoughts. that may sound organized but I promise it won’t be and as always I’ll have to use bullet holes to even stay relatively "organized"

I'm sure I'm leaving stuff out that I either loved or would wanna discuss but tbh the ENTIRE FILM i was just like GOD I WANNA REMEMBER THIS FOREVER!! Every scene that happened i was like god there's still 3 hours of stuff that's going to happen but I want to remember it all!!!

Overall

this movie was good. and i’m mad it was so good and i found it so enjoyable for how dirty they did me. The pacing was pretty well done for a first viewing, but I'm sure after a couple rewatches I'll get caught up on the occasional misstep in the pacing and general direction the story took, but I really liked it!!

I thought the Thor stuff was kinda distasteful and honestly a joke that ran too long. Like ha ha okay we get it but also? He went through so much fucking trauma can we just lay off him? Damn? I don't wanna linger too much on it bc honestly the more I think about it the more I get upset the russos did him dirty

all the callbacks??? made me so emotional????? eleven years and almost two dozen films guys holy fucking shit it felt like such a good homage to bring stuff back

Yo literally when they went up to busted ass thanos i leaned over to my bf and whispered "are they just gonna kill thanos in the first ten minutes is that allowed" and uh YEP! WOW

Also the opening scene being Clint's family getting dusted... gasps in my theater y'all they went in hard on us

TIME HEIST!!!!!! FUCK marvel knows how to take you on a fun journey!! The concept was so fun!!

I also appreciate them mixing up the plot a bunch to keep us guessing!! Like fuck, when Thanos was finding out through Nebula... future nebula talking to past gamora i was SO SOFT... sisters...

Hulk was... weird. It felt a weird kind of fanservicey for a little bit, and honestly a little out of place? But. Eh. Wasn't the worst part. Certain parts of it were fun! I think I got used to it haha

Everyone looked. So good. After the time jump. Damn. Thank you make up department for everyone's new looks. I live for silver fox tony always.

I loved seeing Loki again i know it was so little content BUT I DONT CARE I'LL ALWAYS LOVE MY FUCKING PRINCE

We didn't get as much Nebula and Tony content as I was hoping but god it was so cute and tender in the beginning. Imagine all that bonding. Nebula finding tony on the floor, knowing he's on the brink of death, and propping him up in the seat :'(((( tony helping fix nebula :(((( the father daughter relationship we deserved and didn't get to see come to fruition.

All the New York flash back was so fucking fun. The elevator scene. Brilliant. I really thought they were gonna recreate but it was such a fun tease. Also cap making fun of his past self for saying "i could do this all day" I SCREAM why do the Russo's get steve so well

They have TEASED US since that one middle avengers movie we don't talk about that he was worthy and!!! Our!! Son!! Is!! Fucking!!! Worthy. And the scene of thor making him swap w/ him "you get the little one" i screamed bitch

I appreciated the closure with Howard like?? A lot?? I'm the last person to be a Howard stark apologist, but I think his character and his relationship w/ Tony and how Tony viewed him as a father and as a man was so well crafted throughout the series??? Idk I liked that scene it was good to my baby.

And now a pOSSIBLY CONTROVERSIAL~~ opinion but..... I loved Steve's ending. I really did. I thought he got a beautiful and fitting ending and I was so happy. It meant so much especially to hear his reasonging being that in a way, he did it for Tony. He was inspired by what Tony told him. He saw Tony get his happy ending and for so many films now Steve has been searching for that and he missed an entire life. Tony helped him realize that. It just made me!! So emo!! Like Bucky's face when he knew Steve wasn't gonna be coming back. Steve's last convo w/ Sam. It was just amazing. I can't believe I'm seeing hot takes from people calling Steve selfish or blaming the fact that the Russos have a boner for Steggy or whatever. Who cares!!! Steve got his happy ending and it was well deserved and a wonderful arc!! Lay off him bc you ship him w/ Bucky or tony more damn!!!! (Idk about the timeline y'all dont come for me i really have no idea i think the Russos just said fuck it for that one even when talking about not fucking up the timeline)

Natasha deserved better. She did. I understand why they took her character arc the way that they did, and honestly, this is the first time I've felt we've seen Natasha have even a modicum of actual character traits since like, Iron man 2 and Avengers 1. She found purpose in keeping the family together and trying to help the people left living, while never stopping or losing contact with anyone else in their endeavors to fix what Thanos broke. As tired as I am of seeing a female character die for ~man pain~ this felt like so much more than that. In the end Nat wanted to sacrifice herself for the greater good, and that's what she did. I'm still fucking upset though, even though they've butchered her character across almost all the films she's been in

Thor being turned into an entire fucking joke. That's it. I got nothin left for the writers at this point.

So..... let's talk about Tony's death, shall we

"You can rest now" broke me. It truly did. I've never loved any fictional character across any medium as much as I have loved Tony Stark. But Pepper's line at the beginning "you'll sleep, but will you rest?" Is so fucking telling. I think I immediately knew for sure in that moment. Because she's right. And that's the worst part.

Peter :)))) finally :)))) calling :))))) tony :)))) by :)) his :)))) first :)) name :))) as he was dying :)))) asking him not to go the same way he told tony he didn't want to go when he was getting dusted GOD. AND WE THOUGHT THAT SCENE IN INFINITY WAR WAS ROUGH. HAD N O T H I N G ON THIS.

That funeral scene.... seeing everyone there drawn together..... god. It was beautiful. It really was.

Of course I'm not happy. I'm extremely fucking upset. I knew tony wielding the gauntlet would be coming, but I thought they would find a way for him to make it out alive. As soon as they were showing that even the hulk couldn't handle it with the gamma radiation, I knew the nail was going to be in the coffin.

All that aside... what I can say, is that if they HAD to kill him off, I think it was a proper send off. We saw so many arcs of Tony's come to a close, and I knew it was just a matter of time. Also that being said, I really don't believe in death being necessary to end a character's arc. Yeah yeah blah blah we get the sad and tragic but TRUE message that at the end of the day death is inevitable and that tony had to sacrifice himself for the greater good. He and Strange both knew it, and as soon as Strange held up that finger I knew that was it for him.

It wouldn't be so hard if they hadn't given us everything they did with tony after the 5 year jump. He healed. He was HAPPY. But pepper was right, and as long as Tony was alive... he would never truly /rest/. And that's the only way I'm able to make peace with this death. Tony has always been a character who was just going going going, never going to stop even if it killed him, all to protect the ones he loved, and protect the whole world and make it a better place. He had a beautiful story that was told so well over these past eleven years, with admitted shortcomings here and there. He had the most cohesive trilogy films, the best character development and arcs, and an incredible portrayal. I'm grateful for it, but that doesn't make it any easier that they decided to go and show us that Tony was able to FINALLY settle down with Pepper and see him find the best version of himself as a husband to her and a father to his little baby girl. A baby girl that now has to grow up without her dad, and pepper has to go on without her husband, the love of her life. It's fucking tragic and honestly, we didn't need that imho lmao

The hardest parts is that like.... idk. I feel like the only reason they killed him is for shock factor, but somehow without the shock? A lot of us felt or were worried that this was coming. I think the russos and co. We're just totally set on the idea that like... tony HAD to die and that was the only way for this arc to come to a close not just WITHIN the universe, but meta, outside of the MCU as well. They did the same thing with Hugh jackman as Logan and that shit HURTED me y'all. Eleven years we had RDJ give us this amazing character and he is the SOLE reason the MCU is where it is today. So you know what, the Russo's and everyone can circle jerk about how much ~poetic justice~ there is in this ending for Tony, but at the end of the day... it just ain't it fam.

Realistically I know after wielding the infinity stones there is no way Tony, a human, could've survived, even with his armor on. I knew that. And as biased as I am towards seeing Tony living, if he had wielded the stones and NOT died? It would've felt cheap. So again, if they had to end his life, I appreciate the way they did it and thought it was the best send off they could've given him. I also would've appreciated some kind of alternate option where oh i dont know carol or someone strong enough could've handled the snap and tony could live the rest of his days with his wife and daughter and found family but..... ig that's just me huh.

And last thought is that I fucking cried AGAIN because the biggest applause moment was during the credits when RDJ's name appeared. My theater gave a standing damn ovation. Also the very last sound after it faded to black... Tony hammering away, building the very first Iron Man suit.... that shit hurted.
