what if the strawhats had different roles on the ship⁉️ i swapped everyone’s roles except for luffy because i can’t imagine him being anything but the captain

these are loose redesigns since their canon designs don’t really read as their roles all that much to begin with. some extra doodles and ideas for this in the cut !!

nami, vice captain: i took a lot of inspiration from her beta design!! canon nami already bosses everyone around so she fits right into the role. she wields an extendable staff (usopp still makes it for her); she lost her arm over the time-skip like how zoro lost his eye. i LOVE drawing cargo pants and boots, so she ended up with a sorta bottom-heavy design. frankly it’s probably not her style but i like how she looks

zoro, the cook: my foolproof logic is zoro uses swords = good with knives. he does not use katanas to cut produce however, just normal knives. i was trying to go for “sweaty ramen guy” with the towel around his neck. the majority of the shit he cooks would probably be drowned in alcohol. he also wears his bandana the majority of the time now!! it completes the ramen guy look

sanji, the sniper: i also took inspiration from his beta design for this!!! he has guns!! and perfect aim of course. i was going for more of a mafioso look so germa 66 would be like, a mafia organization on top of all the other villain shit they already do. he has two guns but i didn’t draw a holster bc that’s annoying🤞 he lights his cigarettes with his guns. how would that even work? don’t ask me

usopp, the navigator: his artistic talent lends itself to creating perfect maps! he also still tinkers, making nami’s staff as well as having a specialty for compasses. he uses a slingshot still (no perfect aim we gotta nerf him) and shoots weather-related projectiles. his goggles serve as binoculars, they can zoom to several different distances. i drew him in his zou outfit purely bc it’s my favorite one

chopper, the helmsman: he would predominately use heavy point while maneuvering the wheel. i changed his hat up to look more like a sailor’s cap, with an anchor symbol instead of an X. to be honest i don’t have much else bc helmsman doesn’t bring much to my mind :(

franky, the musician: ROCK N ROLL BABY YEEAHHH come on his stage presence is unmatched. he’s still a cyborg, he has instruments all over his body like apoo does but they were installed manually. his personality changes depending on what genre he’s playing but rock n roll is his default B) (ex. classical calls for a refined gentleman)

robin, the shipwright: her devil fruit gives her as many helpful hands as she needs! she developed nami’s arm (definitely installed some random shit she did Not ask for). she has a robot mecha that she’s able to pilot all by herself using clones. i changed her orange sunglasses to goggle eyewear

brook, the doctor: the irony of being nursed back to health by a literal skeleton 💀the irony of being the doctor of the rumbar pirates yet being the only survivor, saving no one from the poison 💀 i went for a plague doctor look! IM VERY HAPPY WITH HOW HE TURNED OUT i was really tempted to give him the plague mask too, but i feel that would’ve changed his appearance too much compared to the others

jinbei, the archaeologist: the shape of this man demands a little pair of round glasses on his face. he’s an intellectual i tell you!!! plus still a fishman karate master. the history of joyboy and fishman island being so intertwined is how he developed an interest in history

Accidently cooked up a silly little au the other day that I am very much enjoying gonna. talk about it under the cut because4 the FUCKING WORMS

OKAY so basically. literally everythign is the same except for the fact that. Ed got entirely yoinked instead of Alphonse. I dunno why that happens but. It does because I say so. Anyways. So this basically mean that Ed gets bonded to an armor instead of Al, and because I desperately wanted the secondary set of Armor to see some light I thought it would be funny to bond Ed to that instead. I haven't fleshed everything out, but as I'm working on that I wanna add a few of the different things in here just because. And I still might tweak things if I think it doesn't make sense. - Al lost his arm first, then traded his tongue and his eye to bond Ed to the armor, making him effectively mute. He's learned ASL and Ed has to translate for him a lot. Although in my hcs Al is a foodie so like. major bummer for taste buds. He likes fun textures and stuff though. I gotta figure out what problems this poses though so we'll figure that out. - Al most likely is going to go into being a state alchemist just for the fact of staying somewhat close to the storyline and stuff. and I don't know, insert random reasoning in here. Yeah - just a little design note. uhmmmmm I thought the cross thing on Ed's head/helm was cool and I had the bright idea of like "hey what if I put the emblem like. through the cross yk" and I might not do that. But at the moment it looks cool to me. so yeah. I'M STILL TOYING WITH THINGS. . . I have to figure out what happens and designs and stuff. but yeah. I think that covers. what I have for now. p sick. scuttles away

I personally like to believe that Ace either adores spicy food or has absolutely no tolerance for it. There is no in-between (argue with a wall). For this one, he has absolutely no tolerance for it. And you— absolutely adore spicy food.

You knew Ace had a small habit of snatching food from people's meals every now and then. So, when you started having meals with him, you warned him that you liked your food spicy. Like reaaalllyyyy spicy. But no, he refuses to believe that it's actually that spicy. Ace thinks you're just exaggerating so that he won't snatch food from your plate. After all, you always looked as if it were nothing when eating.

So, imagine his reaction when he does snatch the said spicy meal from your plate. He looks you dead in the eyes as he takes a bite. A smug grin on his face. The freckled guy immediately freezes the moment it's on his tongue. You can tell that the spice kicked in but he forces himself to chew and swallow.

It's obvious he's forcing himself. His jaw moves stiffly. Sweat slowly beads on his brow. Cheeks slowly begin to flush a cute shade of red. There's a strained look to his face— he refuses to admit you were right. Not when you already had that smug smile on your lips while you watched him. He swallows visibly, adam's apple bobbing as he takes a moment to compose himself after that. Just from that bite alone, his lips are slightly swollen. Lips parted to pant from the burning sensation on his tongue.

Ace chuckles nervously. Saying it wasn't all that spicy (he was using his hat to fan himself uncharacteristically). Blaming the tropical sea you guys were sailing in for the heat and his sweat. You tease him for it. And that makes him clear his throat— a horrible idea. Now, he chokes on his own saliva. The burning sensation becoming unimaginably worse than before. He slams a hand on the table repeatitively, clawing at his throat with the other. Eyes brimming with tears. By now, he's begging for water.

"Water will make it worse. Chew on this." You say while handing him a piece of bread. A chuckle leaves your lips when he eyes you skeptically before accepting the bread. Your hand tracing circles on his back soothingly (his skin tingles where you touched him but he's too distracted by hell that spawned in his throat).

Once he settles down, he risks a glance at you. Of course you have that 'I told you so' look on your face. He groans and runs a hand through his hair before putting on his hat on again. "Alright, alright— it was a bit spicy." He begrudgingly admits while glaring at your plate. It looked delicious but he was definitely not risking it. Not today that is.

As much as you enjoyed his reaction, a part of you did feel bad. You started to add in portions of food that weren't that spicy to let him indulge in his little habit. He'll make it as a game to see whether he can guess if it was spicy or not. And Ace secretly loved it when you would intentionally give him some of the milder ones to help him build his tolerance.

So you know how in Ninjago whenever one of the ninja would get a love interest, they would just immediately fall in love at the first sight of said love interest? Well when it comes to Cole and Geo, I like to think that it was the other way around. Instead of Cole immediately falling in love with Geo the second he sees him, I fully believe that it was Geo who was just immediately smitten at the first sight of Cole, and then Cole developed feelings for Geo over time.

Not sure if this has been done before, BUT what if Shigaraki had One for All, and Yoichi had All for One?

Shigaraki knew he had One for All from the beginning. He felt that deep stockpiling strength within, constantly building on his own power. It's why he's the stronger, the better twin. At first, it only stockpiles his own strength, but before long, he learns it can stockpile others' strength. All he needs is their willingness and a bit of their DNA. Sometimes, they only give him a fraction of their strength, but sometimes...he gets it all, the ghost of their quirk residing inside him. He knows all he has to do is get stronger. Then those quirks will be his to use, and his power will keep growing. From there, he decides on its name- One for All. Taken partially from Alexandre Dumas, but also an old fantasy book about One Ring To Rule Then All. Because that's his power, the greatest quirk in the world. One quirk to rule them all.

Yoichi doesn't realize he has a quirk at first. But after a while, he starts to suspect that the deep gnawing feeling inside is from a quirk. When he tells Shigaraki, his big brother brushes it off. "You don't have a quirk, little brother, and even if you did, you're too weak to use it." So Yoichi ignores the quirk and the constant hunger, even if he suspects it's weakening him.

That is... until he learns about his brother's plans, and Shigaraki tries to force Yoichi to give up his power. Gripping Yoichi by the throat, he demands that his little brother bow before him and give up his quirk. At that moment, Yoichi takes his first quirk, a simple strength amplifier, plucked from the core of One for All. Shigaraki is furious and demands that Yoichi give it back, and when he refuses, he locks him in a vault. He plans on keeping his brother there, but to his fury, not long after, Yoichi is rescued.

Kudo and Bruce protect Yoichi for as long as they can, but it's becoming more and more obvious that Shigaraki is on their trail. Desperate, Yoichi makes a risky gamble. If, in theory, his quirk can take and give quirks, then why can't he give his quirk away? Late at night, he transfers his quirk into Kudo, imparting with it his will. All Yoichi's power, love, and strength- given with the hope of saving even one person. His all, given for the one. All for One.

Thus One for All and All for One are born.

Having just finally listened to the new The Magnus Protocol and getting introduced to Needles the 'What Do You MEAN I'm Not Scary Enough!?' Avatar of Sharp Poking, I have to say right now that I know in my heart of hearts that he must have so many terrible nicknames among the other avatars

"Hey, Pinhead, how goes the phone spam?" <- stings because originally he chose 'Pinhead' on purpose to reference Hellraiser, but absolutely no one got it until he spelled it out and by then the name was ruined

"What's up, Prick?" <- lowest effort, but still goads him into raising a single massive darning needle middle finger in response

"Kebab, can you hold onto this for me?" <- said before having assorted foods speared on him; fruits, sausage, cheeses, etc. Takes forever to pluck everything off. Even worse when someone just ambushes him with a down comforter and pillows

"This you?" <- no name involved, but always a prelude before being shown a picture of a porcupine

Just. There is no way this faintly jingling pile of pointy things has any respect among the rest of the bogeymen in this universe. I love it
