in honor of the first day of pride month i'd like to dedicate this post to a duo that definitely matches each other's freak.

i'm talking about royjamie.

these two went from haters to acquaintances to friends to best friends so quick. they're literal parallel/foils of each other. they dated the same girl. they spend all their time together. one of them has been obsessed for years. the other has been obsessed for shorter but his obsession is more intense. one is very closed off but talks to him. the other can’t stop talking.

binghe being more actively unstable makes sqq seem more normal by comparison, but I think shen qingqiu deserves more credit for being just as unhinged. he thought there were too many things that could go wrong with faking his death, so he decided to kill himself for real. not only does he know binghe is manipulating him when he gets weepy, but he actually enjoys and encourages this behavior. when he received confirmation that binghe was not a necrophile and had just been tenderly embracing his corpse the same way sqq had once comforted him, he decides immediately upon waking up that he needs to fuck him until he qi deviates. truly they are both insane.

warning binghe is an obsessive yandere freak 🥰 bingyuan are freak4freak tho so like…. it's fine

dead dove do not eat; he is a serial killer and he's kinda horny about it lmao

luo binghe is maybe shen yuan’s biggest fan. when he was fourteen, he saw sy as the male lead in a classical romantic opera and it inspired him to act. he’s seen all of shen yuan’s opening nights and most of his closings, and he was coached by shen yuan’s older brother (until shen jiu dropped him as a client…there was something Not Right about that boy and sj didn’t want him close). he’s got a bit of a shrine to shen yuan in his basement, filled with photos and newspaper clippings a few dried flowers—whenever he was given flowers on stage, shen yuan always tossed one back to the audience. binghe has three. he has every part of shen yuan he can get his hands on, but it's not enough.

when he and sy start working on sqh's game, it's like heaven and hell all at once. sy is even more beautiful up close, even kinder and funnier and smarter than he shows himself to be in the few interviews he's deigned to give. every moment lbh spends with him is ecstasy. every moment he spends apart from him is suffering unlike any he's ever experienced. every day he yearns to touch, to taste, to take shen yuan. to have him and keep him and treasure him the way no one else ever could. no one loves him like luo binghe loves him.

this video game they're working on—it's got a lot of endings. most of the game is the player on their own, but there's one path that gets the shitty teacher character as a companion. and further down that path…well, there are a lot of romance options in a game as big as this.

things start out fine; lbh and sy have great chemistry, it turns out. even when sy has to play the cruel teacher, it's got this undercurrent of something that could easily open the door for the romance arc later on. lbh knew they'd have great chemistry. he and sy are destined to be together; of course they'd work well on screen. they hang out between takes, eat their meals together, carpool when they can. it's amazing.

it's not enough. binghe burns with the need to possess his beloved, and every day he's denied what he rightfully deserves, that fire burns hotter. one night, he goes out to try to find a hookup, just to let off some steam. it's supposed to be a hookup, it really is. he finds someone who looks similar enough to sy from the back that he can almost pretend it's him. but his voice is all wrong, and his attitude is too brazen, and it pisses binghe off so bad that he chokes the guy just so he'll shut up.

it's just—he doesn't stop choking him until he finishes a few minutes later, and by that point, the guy is…well. mbj helps lbh scrub the body and cover his tracks, and the corpse is found a few days later with no real leads.

it happens again a few weeks later. lbh can't have shen yuan, but so many pale imitations throw themselves at him. and every time, he takes them to bed and he swears he won't get angry this time. it's not sy; he knows it isn't sy. there's no need to be angry with them for pretending to be sy when they're not.

he gets angry anyway. he can't help it. he accepts these men's advances, he takes him to bed, he kills them and kills them and kills them. eventually, news comes to light. the date-night killer, a deeply uninspired name born only from the fact that their last known locations were all night clubs. they're all around the same height, all have short brown hair and glasses, all similar builds.

one night binghe asks shen yuan if he wants to go get drinks. he knows a nice quiet lounge, not too crowded since it's so exclusive. shen yuan declines. jokes that he'd better not—the date night killer likes guys with short brown hair; maybe they'd go after him next.

the next body that turns up is…different. still strangled to death, but it seems like the killer (a copycat most likely, the cops say) felt regret afterward. on the victim's back, over and over again, is carved "i'm sorry i'm sorry i'm sorry i'm sorry…"

his a-yuan is afraid of him. luo binghe hates himself, and he hates all these people who put themselves in his path, who get themselves killed by daring to try to replace a-yuan in his heart. it's their fault a-yuan is afraid. binghe is the only one who can keep him safe. he knows he is.

binghe keeps it together until they're approaching the end of shen yuan's time in the studio. the arc is almost finished, and shen yuan mentions that in a month he'll be leaving for his next show's rehearsals. some opera, binghe's pretty sure; his hearing sort of cut out when his beloved said he was leaving. the news is a knife to the heart. his a-yuan can't leave. a-yuan belongs with him, no one can take him away. binghe needs a-yuan, and a-yuan needs binghe.

that night, luo binghe and shen yuan vanish without a trace. binghe has a house. it's under a false identity, and it's way out in the mountains. there, he can keep his a-yuan safe and comfortable. there, he can work to earn his a-yuan's affection. there, no one can take his a-yuan away.

he explains to a-yuan that they're home now, that they are together as they belong, that luo binghe will be the best husband to his precious a-yuan. and sy is so beautiful, so clever, of course he figures out that luo binghe is the date night killer. it's alright though, binghe promises, because he only killed those people for daring to imitate his beloved. now that he and his husband are finally together, binghe's got no reason to kill anyone else. they'll be happy together now that there's no one else in the way.

when shen yuan smiles, it's like the sun breaking through the clouds. he shifts, asks binghe to untie his arms. of course, binghe obeys. anything for his husband. he's not a fool; he knows shen yuan might try to fight and escape as a test of binghe's ability to protect him, and binghe's ready. but instead, shen yuan reaches out and stokes binghe's hair, his cheek. 'binghe went so far for me,' he murmurs, a hypnotic gleam in his eye that luo binghe has never seen. 'i hoped that night… i thought for sure you'd take me when i turned you down for drinks, but you tried so hard to be respectful, didn't you? well. maybe someday binghe will let me see him work? i quite liked the one you carved for me, but i really didn't need an apology. you can try again, can't you? will you make something pretty for me?'

the next corpse is rather beautifully arranged. the wounds carved into the body are artistic, elegant flowing lines and flowers carved into the skin. in the middle of its back, the double happiness character is drawn. shen yuan thinks it’s a lovely wedding present.

I think people get thrown off bc they assume an unhinged4unhinged dynamic means they need to be Unhinged Freaks All The Time talking about...idk eating each other's hearts (which is some good stuff ok don't get me wrong I go that way for my Dreamling content) but Jayvik Unhinged reads as less 24/7 Freak Fest and more like

Theyre going around probably being cute most of the time. They're flirty and goofy and snarky. But they're ALSO viewing their relationship as Two Halves of A Whole. "Whatever souls are made of his and mine are the same" type of freak shit. And it's only going to take the slightest thing disrupting or threatening to disrupt their "we are JayceAndViktor" dynamic for them to go truly off the fucking rails with it (see: Season2)

As a couple they're not under the surface Freak4Freak like they let that flag fly. But there's still probably a thing where people are smiling and nodding at them like "oh isn't that cute" and then there's one moment.

And it's something like Jayce saying "one time Viktor didn't know where I went and he threatened to burn down the Enforcer's offices because they wouldn't let him put in a missing persons report after only 3 hours 🥰🥰🥰" for people to go ".....wait what the fuck"

A Crow with a Mournwatcher is so good be it Emmerich/de Riva or Lucanis/Illgellvar and in FACT in some ways, better than two crows or two mourn watchers because while two people who match each other's freak4freak to the point where they're like "we're the only two normal people here everyone else is strange" is really fun what's even BETTER is a couple who've both got different flavors of freak going on. You come away from a conversation with one with the other being clearly going "D:" about what the love of their life just said and you're like "thank god one of these two is normal" and then the so called normal one shatters those hopes when their "honey that's off putting" reply is JUST as unhinged but in a different direction.

You get me because this is pretty much exactly why I had my Ingellvar romance Lucanis and my de Riva go after Emmrich. They're all freaks but of a different flavor.

The necromancer/assassin pairing is so good because they're both morbid as hell but rarely in the exact same way. It makes them very good at pointing out when things are Not Normal to their partner, it's just that their respective definition of Normal is also way off the mark so they might as well have said nothing at all.

For example, Ingellvar jumping into a conversation Lucanis is having with Viago about poisons and having a surprising amount of insight and depth of knowledge about poisons. Viago asks her how she learned so much about poisons because most normal people really don't know much about them at all and Ingellvar with the brightest smile replies that she picked up on it when she first started doing autopsies and needed to determine causes of death. Lucanis jumps in to say that it's best not to discuss dissecting dead bodies in polite company like the whole conversation wasn't about the best poison to use to kill a guy.

Or de Riva hanging out with Emmrich in the Necropolis and following absolutely no lab safety precautions, like gloves or proper eye protection, while messing around with toxic chemicals giving Emmrich a heart attack only for de Riva to assure him that it's fine because Viago made sure she was inoculated against most poisonous and toxic substances. Emmrich has to take a deep breath to calm himself before explaining just because she's inoculated does not mean she is completely immune especially with the volumes of poisons she is working with and start bundling de Riva up in lab safety gear before assisting her in her experiments because Emmrich is actually really curious about how this particular poisonous concoction of Rook's will turn out.

Thinking about freak4freak AiDeku. Izuku wouldn’t treat his significant other much different from how he treats everyone else, he would just do everything with more intensity. Meanwhile, Shouta would 100% be different with his significant other—it’s like a 180. However, both of their methods of loving would not be considered appropriate to the bulk of society (aka they would 100% be yanderes).

Izuku would be oblivious about his tendencies. Not only does he have multiple notebooks of information on Eraserhead, but he also has them on Shouta’s civilian identity. Izuku doesn’t have a concept on what information he should or shouldn’t be privy to, so he has records from Shouta’s birth all the way to present. He has notes on things that Shouta isn’t even consciously aware of himself yet. He doesn’t take any candid photos. God no! People might have called him a creep all his life, but it’s not like he actually is one. Instead, he has multiple sketchbooks filled with in depth drawings of Shouta. This is outside of what he already has sketched within his Eraserhead volumes.

Izuku knows what he’s doing is a bit much even for him, but he wouldn’t be such a great analyst if he didn’t go the full nine yards. Eraserhead is just such an amazing hero! Who wouldn’t find out everything they could about him? However, Izuku acknowledges that his work can be off-putting even when it's required, so he doesn’t advertise the extra Eraserhead volumes and definitely not the ones on Shouta’s civilian identity. To the random stranger that runs into Izuku once, his actions make him seem insane. To anybody who remotely knows him, this behavior is no different from how the analyst normally operates.

Shouta has known all his life that his tendencies aren't normal for the bulk of society, much to his displeasure. It never did make much sense to him why people were so inefficient. If you care about something and don’t want it broken then you keep it close. You do what you have to in order to keep your things close by and in tip top condition. If that requires some on-site research and action, well Shouta is just taking the most efficient and logical path. All the information he obtains and everything he does is for the betterment of what’s his. And when he decides that something is his, he never lets go. Fortunately—or unfortunately depending on how you look at it, Shouta couldn’t care less about the majority of the world beyond surface level.

Shouta weaves his way into Izuku’s life bit by bit. A coincidental encounter at the agency Izuku works at—Izuku is the analyst on a case Shouta’s working on. Bringing him little gifts that Izuku can’t refuse because it’s all necessities—food and the like. Showing subtle possession over Izuku to others through the guise of little acts of kindness. While on patrol, Shouta runs into Izuku and offers to walk him back home since his commute just so happens to coincide with Shouta’s patrol route. It’s no trouble at all and refusing would be illogical, so Izuku doesn’t. Shouta threads himself into every facet of Izuku’s life to the point that if he were for some reason no longer a part of it, it would fall apart. To the random stranger that runs into Shouta once, his actions are just those of a kind hero. To anybody who remotely knows him, this behavior is the first sign of insanity.

Something unleashed in me and now I have several one shots of varying length and an unhinged drive to finish all of them. so. Here's some snippets of each plus a tiny summary?? I guess??

Azriel x Eris ~3k Firefighter Azriel AU

“Azriel, report,” Zeb demands.  His thumb presses down on the button, waiting for the click and croaks out, “still looking Cap, he's not in the first room.” The splintering howl of the flames corrals him for a second as he quickly scans the area. The fire from the floor below having eaten through the hard wood, through the nice carpet in the center of the room.  “You have two minutes, Azriel, and then you have to get out. That's an order.” Azriel swallows hard, breathing coming labored. He knows he should reply, say something to counter it—but there’s no time so he leaves it, moves further down the hallway.  “VCFD call out!” He yells again, tapping the floor gently with the toe of his boots to make sure it's relatively stable to walk across.  His foot is tapping one rhythm—and then faintly, he hears another.

Azriel x Eris ~4k Freak4Freak Breeding Kink with some angst

Azriel's words are filthy. Eris hangs on by his hair, his shoulders, for dear life as a cascade of all the most shameful, secret longings come pouring out of Azriel's slack mouth. As if he can't stop it—won't stop it. Entirely dissolved in the primal mindset that has his arousal glinting on Eris's stretched skin.

Azriel can’t think, can’t breathe. The shadows are swarming around him so tight they feel like the edges of walls and there’s something, something, under his skin.

Azriel x Eris ~2k Couples Therapy (but not a couple) AU

Dr. Manachin rubs her palms on the legs of her chinos, taking a deep breath. “Option two is not as…conventional, let’s say. But, looking through your file and spending one session with you makes me believe it might be able to benefit you.” Her eyes are such a pale blue they’re almost grey. Watery, when they peer at him from behind the thick rims of her glasses. Eris shifts uncomfortably in his seat as if she can see the charred lump of muscle in his chest that refuses to beat.  “And what, exactly, would ‘unconventional’ therapy look like.” Eris questions her haltingly.  Dr. Manachin moves to answer, pauses, and then her hands thrust up like she’s physically and verbally giving him an answer. “Couples therapy.”

Told myself I wanted to write more this year, so I guess I'm starting it off with a bang eheh. School work is a lot lighter this semester which is nice so I'll have more time to finish these because I have a whole ass doc called 'One Shot Central' and man oh man send help it just keeps growing 🫠

Reading SVSSS: Bonus- Chapter 32

I truly don't know if MXTX has written a tender sex scene. Why does it always have to be a little traumatic? Granted I have only read SVSSS and MDZS BUT both of these series have either uncomfortable (SVSSS) or just have freak4freak energy (MDZS-but I will take this over crying and bleeding) there's never something soft and lubed. I hope that TGCH has something (no spoilers pls) but my bar is so low. (okay but wangxian was fine for the most part- they just were also dry and mutually unhinged). pp366-367

Okay okay- the ending was so sweet. The little shy embarrassed SQQ calling Binghe husband and him pretending not to hear. My headcanon is that eventually over time SQQ feels less and less embarrassed, works through his internalized homophobia, and learns to say what he actually feels more often. Even without my hopes and dreams, I still think this ending was such good character growth for SQQ.

They don’t do this all the time. Buck isn’t always in the mood to pick someone up and Eddie… well, for Eddie, sex is a sometimes thing. They’d spent hours talking about it, trying things out. It all worked, just to varying degrees. Everything works with Buck. But this. This is great. OR Eddie doesn’t necessarily care who Buck sleeps with as long as he comes home when he’s done

nobody really likes this one but the mutuals and the other aces, but the fact that other ace people saw themselves in this fic will sustain me probably for the rest of my life.

2. motel stay on a weeknight (it's a contrast love)

Buck really thought that this detail to Austin would be the perfect time for him and Eddie to stop dancing around this. To fall into bed together in a cheap motel room and use the excuse to wake up too close and let it happen. Of course, then he opens the door to two goddamn queens. Summer of Buddie 2024 Week 5: Break the Cliche: Too many beds

this fic has such a place in my heart cause i wrote a fair bit of it on a road trip in Turkiye and yet it still came so easily to me. it turned out cozy and reminds me of my SPN days when most fics took place in a motel room.

3. i'd shout it from the rooftops

Buck can’t even deny it. He’s freaking out. Hard. “Public record, Buck.” Eddie is hissing through both hands planted over his face. Under them, Buck’s sure, his cheeks are bright apple red. Because they really, really should have paid more attention. It’s just that everything is so new. And finally being allowed to touch Eddie is such a fucking headrush that Buck can’t seem to keep his damn hands to himself. Nor does he seem to be able to keep his filthy fuckin’ mouth shut. Not even on camera, evidently. OR Buck and Eddie dive head first into their honeymoon phase, take a page out of Buck 1.0's book, and remember their shiny new body cams- in that order.

I just really love this one. my first real dip into some degradation kink.

4. where the lovelight gleams

Buck winks when he catches Eddie watching him. “What?” he asks, amused. Eddie flushes, caught in the act. He contemplates tossing out a quick nothing, or a throwaway line about being tired, but Buck is here, in his teenage bedroom, and that feels important. Too important to obfuscate. “I’ve got a boy in my room.” he says, sounding almost as incredulous as he feels. It’s as ridiculous out loud and it was in his head, but Buck lights up anyway. “Eddie!” He exclaims. “You never had a boy in your room before?” Buck’s eyes go twinkly and mischievous. Eddie should be scared. Instead, he’s getting hard. “Oh we are so fixing this.” OR Buck and Eddie take Chris to El Paso for Christmas. Buck takes the opportunity to help Eddie make some better memories there.

okay, i know it's a lil Christmasy, but i loved how cozy this one turned out and also i just really love hating on Helena Diaz.

5. sweet like honey, tastes like home

“Eddie,” He says again, pulling back to look at Eddie’s eyes, trying to see if he’s there, if he’s doing this for real. “You’re–” Concussed. Bleeding. Scaring me. “Buck,” Eddie begs, fingernails digging into Buck’s shoulders, eyes wide and imploring. “Thought I wasn’t going to make it. Thought I was going to die before I got to, please–” Eddie doesn’t ask. He never asks. He’s asking now. OR Eddie has a close call at work that ends with both of them bleeding and desperate for each other in more ways than one.

AKA the blood kink fic. I am actually REALLY proud of how this one turned out. I feel like I accomplished the freak4freak I was going for. Also this one is SO CLOSE to 1000 kudos, I'm vibrating with excitement.

Devil Venerable Also Wants To Know : A Review

So I generally don't do reviews. But going through the tumblr tag and then on AO3 and seeing the abysmal amount of posts and fanfics, I am writing this review in hopes of someone reading this and then getting convinced by my agenda.

Because Devil Venerable Also Wants to Know deserves to be read by yall.

IT. IS. SO. GOOD.

To summarize, we start with the leader of the demonic Xuanyuan Sect, Wenren E, getting a copy of a trashy romance novel, Abusive Romance.

What baffles him is that he, a logical, rational person who has never felt love in his life, is the second lead and falls in love with the Mary Sue female lead and gives up everything for her and dies in the end for her too.

What makes him even more confused that after he dies in the novel, his loyal subordinate Yin Hanjiang is driven to madness and is hell bent on revenge, pursuing the female lead to kill her.

Wenren E decides that this cannot be allowed. He is not afraid of death, (although he does mind that it was for a stupid reason and not on his own terms) but he very much minds the fact that his subordinate went insane after it. So he sets out to re write destiny.

Now let's talk about the highlights of this book

The Characters

DVAWTK is full of interesting, fun and exciting characters who will remain etched in your memory. Whether it is the sensuous, ruthless and ambitious Shu Yanyan or the wise, perceptive and kind Zhongli Qian, there is a multitude of characters to pick from to love and adore and all of them have deeper and hidden depths that give them layers of complexities.

Not to mention, DVAWTK has several strong and amazing female characters. I have mostly read MXTX books and this is where she lacks the most: hardly any strong female characters. She writes shockingly amazing characters but most of them are male and I mostly don't mind but I do wish I got some great girls to cherish in there too.

Cyan Wings does not disappoint in that aspect. All their female characters are wonderfully well fleshed out. Especially Baili Qingmiao. Seeing her go from the biggest girlfailure to an absolute girlboss over 70 something chapters is satisfying in a sense the way, and I quote the book here, "one feels about their first daughter finally grow up" Chef's kiss truly.

The Plot

The plot is engaging but nothing too crazy, if I am being honest. Apart from a couple of reveals and plot twists that were shocking, it mostly stuck to a more or less predictible story line. That does not mean it was not good; it was. Most of the arcs keep you engaged enough to keep reading without being able to put the story down and tie into each other seamlessly. As such, there are no plot holes and stupid or unnecessary story lines. It works very well to support the characters and their personal growth and arcs.

The Humour

Top notch. So well done. Got me laughing out loud multiple times and earned me a lot of weird looks from my roommate but all worth it. SVSSS was the funniest work I read but DVAWTK gives it a run for its money in terms of the comedy it has and also it's general unhinged-ness, mostly thanks to it's characters. Everyone at the Demonic Xuanyuan Sect is a goofball although they are not trying to be. The skeleton lady Qiu Congxue has no brains. Literally. A ghost ate it so you can guess just how well she is faring in the books.

(she still is immensely powerful tho)

The Romance

The World building

Wonderfully well done and also easy to follow! I especially liked how cultivation was viewed from a different light in this novel and how the book explores the ways it is actually harmful to mortals. I actually learnt a lot about various cultivation stages from this novel and came to understand some common aspects of xianxia novels. DVAWTK uses many technical terms in terms of cultivation and it is fun to read and learn about it

Found Family

Need I say more? Like what's better than a bunch of idiots coming together and growing on their journey thanks to each other? *gently holds Su Huai, Baili Qingmiao, Qiu Congxue and Zhongli Qian in my palms* they are so important to me

Final Thoughts

DVAWTK is a great read with a very satisfying ending. It keeps you hooked till the very end and I am honestly surprised it is so underrated. I am very glad it is getting an official translation soon so hopefully, it will amass more readers although the unofficial translation I read is also very good. It deserves way more hype and fans then it has because it's so silly, so good and so well done. Ugh I hope it also gets some kind of adaptation some day to make it more popular because it deserves it all.

Please read this novel. That's what I want to say. You will not be disappointed.

notes: one of my favourite fics ever on god. started my brainrot for dad!husk, portrays one of the most scrumptious radiostatic dynamics and is generally so very well written that i might end up trying to recreate one of the scenes in comic form. genuinely in love with this fic and im so glad i can say i was the first comment on this fic because my God its such a treat to see new chapters drop for this. unfortunately i havent had the time to write out a detailed comment as of now but if someone wants to let the author know that im still in love with their fic and will continue supporting it until i drop dead go ahead for me

notes: the prequel and main fic of this series is human radiostatic, though the sequel is set in hell. it comes with gorgeous gorgeous art and frankly one of the most exhilirating endings ive ever had the pleasure of witnessing play out. i recommend you guys check out their other fics too, the art continues in them + their radiostatic is written wonderfully across all universes!

notes: this fic is very self indulgent to me. i love the way radiostatic is written in this one because theyre very soft and sweet, but others may not prefer it if theyre looking for freak4freak radiostatic. if you just want something to indulge in and relax with at the end of a heavy day though this is my #1 rec. i read this sometimes when i find myself crying at night lmao

notes: made me sob like a baby. 10/10 no notes whatsoever read it for yourself because you WILL not regret it. i genuinely am always at a loss for words whenever i reread this because it is among the most gutwrenching but beautiful and poetic works that ive ever read and i think it deserves some recognition

notes: again, to reiterate, i do very much dislike the abusive!staticmoth portrayal i see in a lot of fics. but in this one... it's written so perfectly, i can definitely see it actually happening. i enjoy the way that val does still seem to care about vox, albeit in his own twisted way that eventually breaks and fractures their love and trust, and its just. Ugh. So fucking good

I am always thinking about post-canon RoyJamie. Roy moves out of his own way. All that work they put into becoming better people and becoming friends works out so well. They’re beautiful together, Roy and Jamie. Incredibly codependent and god, they’ll live under each other’s skin if they could but boy do they make it work. It baffles everyone around them but they don’t even realise it’s not normal to spend that much time around your partner. Freak4freak but very much in love about it.

They’re not perfect of course. They fight like any couple would. Probably more than most couple even. Neither of them are easy individuals. They both learned to hurt each other long before they ever fell in love and it shows sometimes. But they learn to give each other space, to take a breather when they’re furious. This understanding comes with time and a lot of therapy of course. They weren’t always so good at that but they learn to be patient with each other.

Even if talking about feelings always feels like pulling teeth, they force themselves to do it. It’ll never come naturally to them but it does become easier over time.

Anything they can’t solve themselves, they go to therapy for. They go to couples therapy because you don’t only need help when your relationship is falling apart. You’re gonna need help along the way and they know not to take that for granted. Both of them still see Dr Sharon individually too. They’re better off for it.

Jamie loves Phoebe. They get along like house on fire and it makes Roy so happy, to see his favourite people get along this way. It doesn’t take long before Jamie becomes Uncle Jamie. The next Uncle’s Day, Phoebe has two Uncles to celebrate and she tackles it with gusto. Jamie definitely will cry a little about it. That boy staring at his Roy Kent poster in his childhood bedroom could have never known that one day he’ll have all the love he could have ever asked for and it’d come from Roy Kent himself.

They’re it for each other, that much they both know. Roy worries, of course he worries. A 15 year age gap looks like a lot when you’re 40 and your partner is 25. Worries he’s too old for Jamie, that he’ll hold him back. He’s 40 and all he wants to do is stay at home and read a book cuddled up with Jamie but would Jamie want that too or would he be giving up nights out at clubs for him?

Jamie, who used to wake up at 4am to train with Roy. Jamie, who is very much aware of the age gap and has definitely thought about what it’ll be like as they both grow older. Jamie who would live in Roy’s ribcage if he could. Jamie who will choose Roy no matter what. Roy will understand soon enough. And what do you know? A 15 year age gap doesn’t look too bad when you’re 85 and your partner is 70.

Their wedding is beautiful. 2 years, maybe 3 years after getting together. Roy proposed but Jamie had a ring too. When they get married, every greyhound who has ever played under Ted will descend onto London, Ted included. It began with Roy and Jamie in the locker room, touching foreheads in anger and it ends with Roy and Jamie at the altar, touching foreheads, so in love with each other. Husbands. What a beautiful life they will live together.

their freak makes me think of lando taking photos of oscar and having them around his place. like a bunch of polarids, it's photos of anything. oscar cooking a meal, sleeping in the corner of the couch, him mid conversation, they're laying around his place anywhere. oscar will notice them just appearing, a few new ones on the fridge, some on lando's desk, the bedside table and in places oscar doesn't think of but maybe a bookmark is a photo of his bare chest, flushed and wet, a few of pale skin with finger print and hand print bruising, there's a few that's been put in the corners of the bathroom mirror that make oscar pause and get flustered when he realises what it's photos of and lando just has that on display. he won't admit yet how insane he felt when he mentioned it to lando and lando simply said it was his place he'll decorate it however he wants. he finds one in lando's car where the angle is pointing up a bit, only showing him from the chest up and he looks... out of it in the photo but it's obvious what he's doing in it and he's telling lando to put it away still not admitting how crazy he feels about it.

dkfjgh on a more serious note, my dark past is that svsss was originally my least favorite mxtx book when i first read them all years ago. but for mdzs and tgcf, i was content with how they ended and how deeply the characters were explored, so i didn't feel the need to think up any of my own stories for them.

for svsss, it felt like there were a lot more stories that i wanted to see told about the characters + world, and a lot more places in the original story where i could think of a million different rly fun divergences. the bingge extra especially... i wanted so badly to see it continued, so i did it myself LMFAO

in the end it became a positive feedback loop, every time i create any sort of fan content for svsss i just became more obsessed with it (with binghe)... and although i'm in support of fandom bicycle sqq, for lbh, i only ever really like him with sy/sqq because he's the only one weird enough for him <3
