"I'd known it lurked beneath the surface, but here was The Morrigan. The female who had fought in the War. Who knew how to end lives with blade and magic. "
This piece of warrior Mor by @/tomandosal, commissioned by @/claufromvelaris (link to post here) is so beautiful because it shows Mor as more than a pretty woman in red who drinks wine. She's a powerful warrior in her own right, and we can't wait to see more of her and her ferocity 🔥
Prompts for Mor Week 2024 are coming out this week! Stay tuned, and we hope to see you on November 10th!

Mor and Elia, acrylic paint 18x24” (I think lol). I had a lot of fun painting the leathers, and Elia is a flaxen chestnut because why not? Was made for Mor appreciation week but life got in the way of finishing it.

Deep in the heart of the human lands, past the walls no Fae have crossed in centuries, tucked away in the royal gardens of one kingdom, lies a statue.
A relic from many generations ago, it has survived remarkably well. They— the studious groundskeepers and few nobles who come upon it— say that little is known about the curious monument with no known names or titles. Most suspect it to be a statement to the near-immortal race the humans had fought and won their freedom from in the War. Some even boasting that they knew it to be stolen from the Fae before the Wall went up. A trophy with a message carved into the stone should those cursed creatures ever set sight upon it again.
But it was none of those things.
A secret commission by Queen Andromache shortly after returning home from victory, the task went largely unnoticed during the extensive reconstruction period in the kingdom. Only she knew what her intent behind the memorial had been and only one other could ever understand— was the only one who ever had.
When choosing what words, if any, should be engraved, many titles came to mind: warrior, ally, queen in her own right, ambassador, friend, love. They all fit, but none encompassed her unresolved feelings or the person at the root of them.
So these words spilled forth as a silent-yet-defiant declaration to the world (to her) and a reassurance to herself as the years passed.
Maybe she wasn’t blessed or cursed with immortality, but this… this memory will remain.

I love Rick Riordan but gods keep that man away from celtic mythology. I dont even wanna know what he'd do to HALF of the gods there.
Do not let that man cook! DONT EVEN LET HIM IN THE KITCHEN.
I only rest easy because ToA states that most of the celtic gods have faded so he'd either have to say that Apollo was wrong or make a new universe

i am with you all on the frustration about the choices carrying over to veilguard, but specifically i cannot tell you how fucked it is that it seems likely we will get no update on the southern mages after possibly given freedom by a divine leliana. like this was a conflict built up over the last 3 games and thats just... it? considering how much bioware pushed the both sides narrative shouldnt that choice have, i dont know, consequences?? just really disappointing how many doors they're closing with this game since i highly doubt we will be getting another dragon age game after this.

Not sure, but I don’t want it to be revealed any time soon LOL. I think with Silverborn’s constant delay combined with just how great Nevermoor’s lore and worldbuilding and desire to see more is, I keep wanting to know everything ASAP… but also don’t want to rush it. So I hope we don’t find out the full, actual truth until like, Book 6, or even 7 or 8.
I could see Mog finding out half-truths or different versions or perspectives of the event until she finds out the full truth. So much of Wundersmith history is currently buried in lies or propaganda (?) and different biases that there’s a lot that has to be worked through first. I would love for there to be a Courage Square Ghostly Hour, but I hope she doesn’t find it for a bit. I also am 50/50 on what that one dream could mean (is it Mog’s mom or the Massacre?) so I wonder if that will come into play.
I can imagine that Mog will try to ask Squall what happened, perhaps even a few times, but for right now all I can imagine him responding with is an angry and bitter “I killed them all! I’m evil! Rahhh!!”. There’s some theories that the Massacre may have been orchestrated by someone else or a third party, and that could be an interesting sort of reveal— wonder, if that’s the case, if it’s something Squall was even aware of or not.

I very much doubt there's much chance of this, but is there anyone out there who is a fan of both Doctor Who (and especially/possibly the Gallifrey audios) and the Nevermoor series? As I have many au thoughts but no-one to share/discuss them with.
(if you are please message me)

Of the ~8 dnd/pf characterters I've played in the past 2-3 years (including oneshot characters), 4 of them have rolled a crit (success or fail) on their first ever rolls:
Rook: Nat 20 Perception(??)
Avra: Nat 1 Stealth (she's a rogue with expertise which makes it worse.)
Odynia: Nat 1 Initiative (paladin with -1 dex so total of zero, lmao.)
and now Tasya: Nat 20 Attack (trying to "prove herself" for a mission)
And this is literally their first ever roll. It makes for either a very cool or very funny introduction.

i love how i went through years of feeling like i was kinda over bioware's need to shoehorn alistair into every game only to immediately get emotional when i encountered him in this playthrough, my only one where he was still a grey warden😭 that's my buddy!!!! i can't believe boring king alistair cameo was all i had to sustain me for all these years!!!

An Afternoon at Athelwood
Early-morning mist hung between the bumps and hollows of the sprawling estate. Her estate. Athelwood.
Digital art and animation are still a very new medium for me and landscapes/architecture even more so, but I tried to do this safe place justice 💖
Inspiration came from the art style that embodies comfy homes and the first breath of freedom best: Studio Ghibli!
