Good Omens graphic novel update: September 2024

Our warehouse is slowly filling up with all the items ready to ship to you in Spring. We've had some rather dazzling Giclee prints (Horsemen+) arrive, that we are whisking over to Colleen next month for her to sign for backers.

We also promised that, given the graphic novel was pushed back from Summer 2024 to Spring 2025, with this extra time we would add some new prints to Loot Box #1 (Serpent+), and here they are! First, after a number of anime requests, we present this from Ed Jacob-Moffatt:

I need to change my address. How do I do so? As long as your items have not been shipped, you can always change your address. Just simply log back in to PledgeManager and make the appropriate change. We will be keeping this option open for as long as possible, given the new publication date of Spring 2025. PledgeManager have provided a step-by-step guide on how to change your address, which is available on the FAQ page.  

Can I still add items to my pledge? Yes. You are able to go into your pledge and 'unlock' it to add further items. The process is similar to changing your address, as this is also via the "Update & Modify My Order" button.

Please check the FAQ as your first port of call, and if your question isn't answered, get in touch with the Estate team and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Bedevil, stylised as beDevil, is a 1993 Australian horror film directed by Tracey Moffatt, the first feature directed by an Aboriginal Australian woman.

The film is a trilogy of surreal ghost stories. Inspired by ghost stories she heard as a child from both her extended Aboriginal and Irish Australian families, Moffatt created a trilogy in which characters are haunted by the past. All three stories are set in Moffatt's highly stylised, hyper-real, hyper-imaginary Australian landscape.

ok ive thought about it a bit and i dont like it. sorry. i think it fufills that kind of instant dopamine rush of pure spectacle and the idea of the doctor needing a fucking break is good but essentially splitting a fragment off of him to go have all that off-screen feels like wish fulfillment rather than good story. its also like. RUSSELL THIS IS THE SECOND TIME YOUVE BROUGHT "SPLITTING DAVID TENNANT TO HAVE AN ORDINARY LIFE" TO CLASS. LIKE WE DID THIS BEFORE.

FUNDAMENTALLY the part that most upsets me about it is it feels motivated by the same nostalgic urge that bringing back DT had in the first place, which ended up being a decision I enjoyed but I still think is rooted in this fear of change and this avoidance of tragedy. Tragedy and sadness provide catharsis, they really do, and doctor who is a show about change. It feels...emotionally stunted, in a way. like RTD is giving us pool floaties because he doesn't trust us to swim in the deep end of the pool. Its the same cautiousness that I found particularly upsetting about Chibnals tenure, and the same cautiousness that motivates the endless steam of reboots under late capitalism.

I like to HOPE that this will be resolved in the near future just as I'm HOPING biregeneration will also be explained. At least we got to see Ncuti's ass

You know how when 11 regenerated into 12 Clara went on tilt and couldn't wrap her head around it, and he gave that speech about how she "couldn't see" him and how awful that felt. She got that call from 11 and was like "thank goodness it's the Doctor" and he was like "that was ME calling you!!" and she just really struggled to grasp that 12 was 11 and the Doctor is the Doctor.

Which is weird, for her, as the one companion who has seen/met every single Doctor, but whatever.

I was just thinking about how Donna doesn't know any other Doctors - 14 is just 10 again to her, and she's never met or interacted with any of the other regenerations. But she can see the Doctor immediately when he regenerates (bi-generates, whatever) this time. In a literal blink of an eye, she understands this new guy is also her favorite guy and she loves him just as much, and is already besties with him.

There's no point to this post, other than that Donna is the coolest and I like to talk about Doctor Who.
