Little fact: the London Eye was formally opened on December 31th 1999, but only did a single rotation on New Year's Eve. Due to a capsule clutch problem, it only was officially opened to the public on March 9th 2000.
Well, of course a certain angel and demon didn't care about that and might sneaked onto the Millennium Wheel to celebrate the beginning of, well, a new millennium.
Big thank you to @startreklesbian, because this piece of art wouldn't exist without their creative input.
Little extra:

Still working on poll arts but I took a break to make a little something special
Stained glass window drawings of Cyber Elf Atem(I'll explain that below) and of Kaiba. (not entirely sure why Kaiba's window ended up slightly smaller, though)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now to explain Cyber Elves: They're a semi-closed species I created. Created by the God of Technology CyberShine, they bear colorful stripes on their ears, cheeks, and limbs, and their torsos have unique patterned markings(it's like a fingerprint, as no two Cyber Elves have the same torso patterns.) I've really wanted to draw Atem as a Cyber Elf cause they all have similar personalities and qualities to him. I originally made his markings purple but realized red was much more fitting.
The symbolism of each window is also a story. Atem, born from the dry, hot sands of Egypt, offered a second chance of life by an otherworldly god (CyberShine, ironically) visiting Aaru: if Atem gathered the Millennium Items once again, CyberShine would take him to his own world(as the Egyptian Gods wouldn't allow Atem to be directly resurrected into the world he was born into). Atem, scouring the afterlife for the ghost copies of the Items, eventually completes his task, returning to CyberShine, who fulfils his end of the bargain, and brings Atem back to life and takes Atem to his own world. Atem, however, misses his friends from Domino, his brother Yugi...everyone. So, CyberShine provides a solution...taking a sliver of his godly power and giving it to Atem, making HIM a god...the God of Games. Now equipped with the power to cross dimensions and make portals to other worlds...Atem immediately goes to Domino, who is less than prepared for a dead Pharaoh returned as a literal god. The more fragmented glass represents the lack of linear path his new story takes.
Kaiba's window is much more simple in its story. After Atem's departure, Kaiba finds and reassembles the Millennium Puzzle, hoping to return Atem to it. When it doesn't work, Kaiba's stonewalled persona cracks. The Puzzle is always in one hand or around his neck, empty like Kaiba's heart. Despite his Blue Eyes and his company, a storm feels it has settled over his head, and he walks a narrow road that has no end. He's drawn to the memories of the past that he always ignored, finding comfort in the ones of Atem. The calla lilies on his window represent the union he wished his heart could feel, the rebirth of Atem he once desired, and the simple mourning deep within.

The Earl's dead serious about destroying Lenalee and her Innocence here.
But then—
Tumblr media
White moon of mercy! Allen's arrival temporarily turns the moon back to white.
Tumblr media
Back to black. Allen's not enough to offset the despair of the Earl yet. But he's more than enough to drive the Earl away...?
There's really no words for how quickly the Earl retreats, following Allen's reappearance. But it's not immediate. He doesn't immediately pull back.
Allen pushes him away from Lenalee. The Earl attacks. Allen dodges, then comes charging right back.
The Earl does something we've never seen before:
Tumblr media
He pulls out his sword. He clashes with Allen, certainly trying to—
Tumblr media
Their left eyes meet. We see the Earl's left eye clearly, not hidden behind his glasses. He's looking right into Allen's own left eye.
And then he's gone.
The Earl retreats right after that focus on both their left eyes. Very suddenly, with a poof, he's gone. He leaves with a strange line, almost like...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Long story short: the Earl was all amped up to take Allen and the rest down, but then their eyes met and the entity in the eye forced the Earl to leave?
