I introduced the idea, and Len’s eyes lit up, and Gerry’s eyes lit up, and Marv’s eyes lit up. We sat there and worked out the logistics of it, and then ran out to find Dick [Giordano, Executive Editor]. And, in another incredible coincidence, we found him coming back from a dinner with his loved ones, dragged him forcibly away, took him up to the roof, told him the idea, and on the spot, he said, ‘Approved! Do it!’ Of course, I don’t want to give the impression that he was threatened by anyone... but we were on the roof...
