the fact that alfred was the one to put up jason's memorial is so important to me

#alfred's military background and his sudden shove into parenthood are things i think about a lot #alfred using the term 'soldier' as something honourable. as something to take pride in.#alfred putting 'a good soldier' on jason's plaque to show his care #the voice in bruce's head referring to his children as his soldiers sounding suspiciously like alfred's #bruce initially refusing to acknowledge jason's existence after his death bc it's the only way he can keep going #& alfred saying 'i will not let you do this. if you will not acknowledge him in your daily life i will make you do so every night'#because alfred doesn't know how to acknowledge the absence of a child either #besides going about your life and praying hoping wishing that they return somehow safe and sound #but he knows how to honour fallen soldiers.#and he will help you in the only way that he can.#sorry i just have so many thoughts about this #(justice league 19)#alfred pennyworth #jason todd #red hood #bruce wayne #batman

Unironically one of the most annoying things to me is when people say Tim is their favorite Robin then quote The New Batman Adventures for it because. That’s just Jason. We know it’s Jason. The creators of the show have admitted that he’s just Jason with a thin coat of paint on.

But a bunch of people have grown up knowing him as Tim. The worst part is just can’t even really be mad at them for it.

I'm so mad that so far the only good robin!jason content i've ever found is his original run. Everything i've seen since has just been making him out to be the Angry Bad Problem Child and victim blaming him for dying. I saw something recently saying that Jason would love Hamlet and as someone who loves both Shakespeare and Red Hood I'd have to disagree.

I think he'd read it because he likes classics and he'd enjoy some of the characters and dynamics, but I think he would resent Hamlet.

As a kid growing up on the streets he'd see this prince who has political power, an education, and money who proceeds to not do anything for the entirety of the play except complain and think about doing things.

Jason doesn't believe in just letting things happen. If he thinks someone did something against him, he will correct that slight. Verbally, physically, or with a plan to ruin them completely.

He would read the scene where Hamlet tries to pressure Ophelia in her own chambers and be disgusted.

instead of giving jason todd pit madness (which is such a copout because the things he was doing as the red hood was of his own volition as a result of his trauma), people should lean into the body horror aspect of being dipped into the pit a little more.

Chef boyardee commercial where Jason is helping Alfred grocery shop and he does the commercial thing where he begs Alfred for the ravioli. Of course Alfred says no and they leave the store, only for the can to roll off the shelf and follow them to the manor.

Little did the can know that Alfred will not tolerate canned ravioli monstrosities in his home and has come prepared. As soon as the can crosses into the kitchen Alfred shoots it with his shotgun. He goes to bury it in the backyard alongside dozens of other canned shaped graves.
