Corin is forced to watch the Reapings of the final four Districts and to continue his agonizing task of memorizing the names and faces of each chosen Tribute. It takes him on an emotional rollercoaster--one that ends up going completely off the rails when two unlikely kids volunteer as tribute.
Unfortunately, the first Volunteer--a tiny green child from Eleven--has no name for Corin to memorize. The second however--a dark, handsome boy from Twelve--has the only name worth memorizing.
Hello, hello! I'm back, a year later, to post the next chapter of this crazy AU. (Even though I haven't been posting, I've never stopped writing!) Anyways, I have a new job so I don't have to work 7 days a week like before. I actually have days off!!!! So yeah I'll be able to post chapters more often. I think maybe only a few people will see/read this fic, but that's okay. I'm just happy to finally get more chapters out there. Thank you to anyone who's ever left a comment or kudos. And big thank you to Lady Irina @sulphuryasecretcloset for encouraging me to continue writing this fic even after so long. Also tagging Ace @miscellaneous-ace because I owe you my life. To everyone, I deeply appreciate any and all support. <3

SVSSS / Star wars (The Mandalorian) crossover Headcanon
I’ve been obsessed with this idea for a few days now, so here it is… I wanted to share some exciting headcanon that I've been developing for the SVSSS and Star Wars (The Mandalorian) crossover. I’ve been thinking about how to fill in some of the gaps in the world’s history within the SVSSS universe, specifically regarding the origins of Pico Qing Jing. Since Qing Jing literally means "Peak of Knowledge," it made me wonder: why not have a hidden library or secret vault within the peak itself? Imagine this: the peak is not just a place of strategic importance but also a repository of immense knowledge. It’s equipped with an advanced archival system, hidden rooms, and underground catacombs designed to protect and preserve their invaluable knowledge. This setup ensures that in the event of an emergency or an attack, there’s a secure location where the clan can safeguard their secrets and continue their work without interruption. Pico Qing Jing is the pinnacle of strategy, so it’s only fitting that the leadership always be prepared for potential sieges. The archives and defensive systems would be a crucial aspect of their strategy, ensuring that even if the peak were under threat, they would have the means to protect their wisdom and maintain their strategic edge. Feel free to dive into these ideas and let me know what you think or if you have any suggestions! I’m excited to hear your thoughts and expand on this fascinating crossover.
✨ The Arrival of the Mandalorians and Their Decision to Remain Hidden:
Thousands of years ago, Mandalorians traveled through a portal from the World Between Worlds and arrived in the Endless Abyss. After three years of exploring this new and dangerous environment, a rift opened, leading them to a wild and uncharted world. The Mandalorians, recognizing the complexities and threats of this new world, decided to remain hidden. Acknowledging that revealing themselves could pose additional risks and threaten their safety, they chose to protect both themselves and the new world they had encountered.
✨ Adaptation and Survival:
During their initial stay, the Mandalorians adapted their skills and knowledge to survive in the hostile environment. They developed new tactics and techniques to address the challenges of the new world, integrating their traditions and strategies with the evolving landscape. Preserving their practices and knowledge was crucial for their survival and adaptation to this transformative world.
✨ The Founding of Peak Qing Jing by Clan Mirdal:
Clan Mirdal, one of the most respected and strategic clans of Mandalore, played a crucial role in the founding of Peak Qing Jing. The first lord of the peak was a Chinese human adopted by Clan Mirdal, who became the founder and established a new legacy. He integrated Mandalorian knowledge with local practices, creating a solid foundation for Peak Qing Jing's development. This new leader began excavating hidden caverns, preserving a vast knowledge base and implementing Mandalorian traditions within the new society.
✨ Cultural and Strategic Integration:
Cultural integration was essential to the founding of Peak Qing Jing. The first lord and his followers brought with them not only advanced technologies but also a rich cultural and strategic heritage. This exchange of knowledge helped shape the structure and identity of Peak Qing Jing, blending elements of Mandalorian culture with local traditions.
✨ Secret Archives and Accumulated Defenses:
Deep within the caverns of Peak Qing Jing are stored secret archives that include Mandalorian technology and knowledge from the Star Wars universe, as well as locally collected and cultivated information. These archives contain valuable secrets and essential information for preserving the clan's legacy. Only the chief disciple and the future lord of the peak have full access to these secrets, ensuring that knowledge is protected and transmitted securely.
✨ Accrued Defenses Over Generations:
Each lord of Peak Qing Jing has contributed to the defenses of the secret caverns over the generations. The defenses are a complex system of protection that combines Mandalorian technologies with sorcery and strategic tactics. These defenses continuously evolve to ensure the safety of the archives and accumulated knowledge, reflecting the skill and wisdom of past leaders.
✨ The Ritual of Knowledge Transmission and Adoption:
Before ascending, the current lord performs a manda adoption ritual, a spiritual and formal process to pass on knowledge and power to the chief disciple. This ritual is crucial to ensure that the new lord is prepared to assume leadership and contribute their own insights to the defenses of the caverns. Through this ritual, knowledge is passed from one generation to the next, ensuring the continuity and protection of Peak Qing Jing’s legacy.
✨ Preparation and Transition:
During the ritual, the chief disciple receives intensive training and guidance on the secrets and defenses of the caverns. The transition of power is carefully planned to ensure that the new lord is fully prepared to face future challenges and maintain the integrity of the accumulated knowledge. This preparation is essential for the stability and continuity of Peak Qing Jing.
✨ Consequences of Revealing the Existence of Clan Mirdal:
If the existence of Clan Mirdal were to be revealed to the world, there would be significant implications for both Peak Qing Jing and the Mandalorians. The revelation could result in a series of adverse reactions, including increased attention from local and external factions seeking to exploit or conquer the clan's knowledge and technologies. The accumulated secrets and powerful defenses could attract unwanted interest, putting the security and stability of Peak Qing Jing at risk.
✨ Changes in Power Dynamics:
The exposure of the clan could alter the power dynamics in the new world. Local factions and governments might attempt to conquer Peak Qing Jing to gain access to advanced knowledge and technologies. This could lead to conflicts and wars, forcing Clan Mirdal to engage in battles to protect their legacy. The clan’s neutrality would be compromised, requiring new strategies to address external threats.
✨ Preservation and Adaptability:
To avoid revelation and safeguard their legacy, Clan Mirdal must continue to maintain discretion and rigorously protect their secrets. Adapting their defenses and strategies, along with ongoing training and preparation of leaders, is crucial for ensuring the clan’s survival and integrity. The impact of a potential revelation underscores the importance of maintaining secrecy and security in a world filled with dangers and intrigue.

A mandalorian cross over for this would be hilarious.
Din takes it because he figures ghost that’s terrorizing, why not?
But then he shows up. And this ghost is a kid. And then he hopes out of the bounty and goes after the GIW since they put the bounty up.
Canonically. Canonically Danny has a giant bounty on his head. At the very least a million dollars as Phantom-- where are all the fics where bounty hunters come after his ass?!
There is no way some bounty hunter just sees a million dollars on this teens head and chooses "actually, I have morals now. I won't even try."
Like, okay, maybe not bounty hunters from Amity that know that Phantom is dead and that there are very few things that can kill him for a second time, but bounty hunters from somewhere else.
Gotham is no doubt chalk full of them, meaning Batfam know about this random hero from a small town no one's ever heard of, that's apparently got a huge bounty on their head.
So, shenanigans ensue an suddenly Danny has a pile of adoption papers at his feet from another billionaire. And what's with those people that keep trying to kill him anyway?

Some doodles of Cody and Rex from my Dragon shifter AU (AKA: my How To Train Your Dragon/ Clone Wars crossover)
Wanted to practice drawing the Duskfury/Cody’s dragon form. Plus conceptualize Rex’s dragon form.
Also since Cody was the first clone to gain his dragon from from his damaged chip, the first person he told/showed (other than Obi-Wan) was Rex. Except Rex was totally a dramatic little brother about it.
See my previous post about this AU for more details if you’re interested.

Assassin’s Creed x The Mandalorian
Dadalorian edition
DinLuke (you can keep it platonic if you want, but I’m a sucker for this ship, sorry not sorry)
Din adopts eldritch kid Desmond.
Desmond does his usual thing, aka dies, and gets isekai’d to a whole different galaxy. He doesn’t remember the full extent of his past, but he does remember shitty dad and early assassin training. (Plus ancestor memories in the form of dreams) He’s like… 6 at this point, first grader age.
He wakes up in an ancient force temple where Din was scoping out some kind of Jedi artifact for Luke, Desmond happened to be holding it when he appeared there.
Din finds Desmond and immediately goes “ah yes, a free child, mine now” but in his own way. Desmond is a nervous baby, but he eventually goes “tall scary armored man, he’s blue tho, and has food, so… friend? Friend.”
Din takes baby Desmond and the artifact back to Luke who’s grateful and fond at how sweet Din is being with both Desmond and Grogu.
Cue adorable fluff and domestic cuteness, also angst because Desmond describes how his og dad was like and they’re both just like: “yeah, no, this is our baby now, no take-backsies”
Also force shenanigans, Luke was nervous at first, due to how Desmond seemed so comfortable using the dark side of the force, but ultimately accepted how light side Desmond is about it and how calm he is, so he lets it slide.
Bonus Mand’alor Din
Murder baby Desmond taking out an assassin by himself, Din is both bamboozled and proud while Luke is very concerned but also proud. The Mandalorians adore the young heir, he’s very sweet and also efficient.

Someone from Corin's past comes back to haunt him and his adverse reaction nearly exposes the Career Training Program. Thank the Odds, his mentor Paz Vizsla is there to cover for him--but that won't always be the case. Vizsla orders Corin to work on his sabacc face and shares some harsh truths about the cost of becoming a Victor.
Hello! I have vacation for the first time in like...forever. So finally, FINALLY I can start updating this fic again. If anyone's out there and still following this story, then ...well... thanks for your patience. <3 It's been too long, I know lol -- Unfortunately, I work two jobs and can never brain anything by the time I get home from work. It's awful. 10/10 do not recommend :( lol Anyways here's the next chapter. We get to learn a bit more about Paz Vizsla's worldview and what happened in his Games. I really enjoyed writing this chapter for that reason. It is also the reason I took so long editing this chapter-- within the Hunger Games AU, his story is...complicated and controversial to say the least. Infinite thanks go to the wonderful amazing humans -- Lady Irina @sulphuryasecretcloset and Ace @miscellaneous-ace. Without them, this story wouldn't exist! You both inspire me even after all these years <3

in search of honor {series teaser}
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fandom: The Mandalorian / Alien VS Predator Crossover
Pairing: Younger! Din Djarin x Sacrifice! Reader
Summary: As Din prepares for the ritual of swearing the Creed, he contemplates his past and the future he wants to achieve. On another planet, the one his people are headed to, you are told of your role in the hunt to take place. In the pyramid that everyone knows means death for those that visit. A sacrifice to be made for the Mandalorian's to perform their ritual.
A/N: this is the first tentative writing i've done for the idea that i shared over here. it's just a silly little thing helping me destress from everything going on. no warnings, because i don't have any big ones outlined yet. essentially this is mando'a culture, but the creed is the hunt that takes place for the predators in the alien franchise to prove themselves, fighting aliens and all that fun stuff!
Tumblr media
O'r echoy par ijaat.
In search of honor.
It echoes in his head as he stares at the helmet handed to him from the armorer. He's had it in his possession for nearly ten years now, to be worn at all times. never to be removed. not unless it was around his family, his partner, his children. All of which he doesn't have, having been adopted into the culture he is now devoted to. He had been raised by them, taken in when he had nothing. It's finally his turn to earn the title of Mandalorian, after years of training, of sparring, and learning the weapons praised for protection and defense. It's his turn to prove his worth and earn his signet. If he survives the trial, the hunt, devoted himself to the ritual and solidify himself as a true member of the people who had given him everything he could ever remember. Then he would have achieved what they anticipated of him, proved himself.
The weight of his armor had been heavy like his thoughts when he first dressed in them, the heavy padding beneath it adding even more to his then small frame, just a boy. He had barely been seven when he had first been given it, each year it increased in weight as more of the precious beskar was needed to decorate his growing body. But it's something he's gotten accustomed to. He now feels it's absence when he readies for sleep each night and before he dons it each morning. feels the loss of it when he's bathing and eating alone in his room. He's hopeful the thoughts become less so just as the beskar had. A comfort rather than a daunting new reality.
He wants to survive; he wants to earn his place. He only hopes he's strong enough.
It’s not a death sentence, it’s an honor.
And it’s now on his shoulders and the only path he sees to follow.
Tumblr media
You're in disbelief. The summons that called you has you standing beside six other eldest children of the most renown families of the city, two other girls and four boys. All varying ages, the youngest is a boy, not even ten. The first child of the family you know heads the cultivation of food for the city. He's openly crying, though his father and your own ignore the shine of the tears on his still chubby cheeks.
It's an honor, a way to serve your family, your community. The sentiment is repeated over and over, in the face of each of you as you're dismissed. The day is tomorrow, has been marked for nearly as long as you've been alive. The pyramid in the middle of the desert an entire night's travel away, even on the fastest ship. In the midst of the never-ending desert that surrounds your city, the only on the planet. To ensure should anything go awry or the hunt go wrong, there was no risk for it to get to the population.
It will become your tomb as you heed the commands of your culture and family, as you lay still and allow for an alien creature to attach itself to you, to use you as a host for the chosen species the Mandalorian’s have honed over centuries and use in their own ritual. A way to prove that their training and fighting is either the best or to see the flaws in which they could improve them in order to continue to develop some of the strongest warriors in the galaxy.
It's a cruel cycle, that you must give your live for another to gain meaning and status in their own. you loathed the life you were born into, the injustice of it. the inability to have control over your own autonomy, raised like cattle and given without argument to further another's notion of honor.
An honor and a way to show your devotion to those that made it all possible for your way of life to flourish and thrive.
A sacrifice you should be happy to play a part in.
But it was death, that much you were certain of. Even as they dress you in the most extravagant fabrics you've ever felt against your skin. Soft silt, plush pelts, heavy jewelry. It was too much to handle, the meaning behind it all, the reason for it all.
It’s not an honor it’s a death sentence.
A weight on your shoulders, but you’d be damned if it’s the only path for you to take.

DinCobb if they were in Dishonored (colored version #1)
So we've been thinking (me and @irkinsblog ) — what roles in this game universe could be theirs? Many variations have come through our minds, and FINALLY we found it.
Din is an Overseer, and Cobb — a City Watch Officer. They're not special, like Corvo or Daud, not great heroes or something like that — as it was in the Mandalorian canon. But they could be eventually.
And yeah, Cobb possesses a bone charm that give him some protection and special power, as the the mandalorian armor.

Fandom Friday, 10/18: Fanfiction
Tumblr media
Hello again, everyone…and welcome to another installment of Fandom Friday, the two-post series where I go off to find new and interesting fanworks that might need a bit more visibility.
Before we begin, I would just like to drop the reminder that I will take a two-week break after this; half to catch up on my own fanfics, and half to look for a complete list of 10 Star Wars stories to boost into the ether. In other words, I've got a lot of work to do, so yep...I'll most likely see you all in November, if all goes well.
And so, without further delay, here are my picks of the week.

Crossover Fanfiction (Doctor Who/Star Wars)--By @rooksunday:
In conclusion, as part of my mission to poke around the Star Wars fandom and, on Friday every two weeks, highlight those writers who might otherwise go unnoticed…I hope you will check out the links I have included for yourselves and like, comment on, and reblog them, as well as also giving the writers a few more followers to their Tumblr pages.
Please also like and reblog this latest installment so that these links can be spread around to as many other fans as possible, just in case not all of them can tune in at the same time.
An additional thank you goes to @djarrex for making the divider I used earlier in this post, but still want to give credit for.
And finally, so that I do not forget…thank you to my friends, thank you to this fandom, good afternoon, and good luck.
