AU where Bo-Katan randomly winds up on Lothal shortly after Ezra's parents are taken and finds him and, well, she may not be one of those weirdo traditionalists but she still respects the ancient creed when it comes to foundlings so... guess she's responsible for raising a small child now! wait his parents are possibly alive? well now she's gotta go find them if they're still living and reunite him with them! but she can't bring a defenseless foundling on such a dangerous mission! who could she possibly trust to take care of him? wait doesn't her old bestie from her terrorist phase have a couple kids his age? heyyyyy, ursa, girl! long time no see! can you watch this kid for me for a little while thanks byeeee~~
and then the AU is just Bo-Katan's hunt for Ezra's parents, interspersed with increasingly frantic and/or furious comms from Ursa about how the half-starved traumatized nonverbal foundling is manifesting wizard powers. bo this is not funny. get back here and get your telekinetic hellion. he's helping my daughter put paint on the ceilings.
alternate endings include (1) Ephraim and Mira are alive and Bo rescues them and everyone lives happily ever after, (2) Ephraim and Mira are not alive and now Bo-Katan has to hunt down a Jedi to raise the boy and she ends up locating Kanan, (3) Ephraim and Mira are not alive and Bo-Katan decides that her best bet for Jedi Most Likely To Have Survived The Purge is obi-wan and so she goes looking for him, darth vader encounter shenanigans optional, and (4) Ephraim and Mira are not alive and Bo-Katan cares for Ezra herself and somewhere along the way he gets the Darksaber and well apparently bo is raising tarre vizsla 2 electric boogaloo. this should be good.

Masterlist
Summary: This is an ABO Bad batch!Poly x Omega Reader smut with a plot. This takes place as an AU before order 66. Y/N previously served under the 501st before being transferred to Special Forces 99. This is her adventure with these rowdy Alphas in a quickly changing universe.
THIS IS AN ABO AU ABOUT THE BAD BATCH (NO CANON OMEGA!) Due to the unfortunate situation of her name being Omega… Omega the child from the canon series is not going to be apart of this fanfic/porn with a plot. I feel obligated to put this warning in because it makes my skin crawl thinking anyone could make that mistake.
Warnings: No smut in this chapter... but don't worry! Chapter 14; we will be returning to our regular smut programming.

"So, Anakin Skywalker took you to Lothal?" Hunter was trying to make sense of Echo’s wild story.
"When Ahsoka was still barely a pup, he took her on a tour of all the known Jedi temples in the known regions," Echo recounted. "It was to show her the generations of Jedi history. We had taken that Venator all over the galaxy. Lothal was one of them, and I think it’s far enough away from Empire jurisdiction that we could get there unnoticed."
"And why are we bothering with a Jedi temple? I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but none of us are Jedi," Tech remarked, knelt on the ground, holding you to his chest, running comforting hands over your trembling form. The boys took turns trying to keep you warm as your temperature dropped for reasons Tech and you couldn’t understand.
"You said it wasn’t medical. This is a soul bond issue; that's the spiritual world," Echo reasoned. "We might not understand it, but I’ve seen some pretty crazy stuff with the Jedi. All of it's real, even though it sounds like mumbo jumbo to people like us."
"It’s real," you whispered. "I’ve seen it."
"You've seen what?" Tech looked down at you.
"The mumbo jumbo… Ahsoka showed me many things when we were younger." You nuzzled into Tech for comfort.
"She’s someone we could actually use right about now, assuming she survived the order," Echo said, shaking his head.
You bit back your emotions, too exhausted to cry anymore. You didn’t want to think about that. Not now, anyways. You and Echo had spent too many nights talking about Ahsoka leaving the pack.
"We’re approaching," Echo said, taking control of the Marauder. Tech stood up, passing you to Wrecker for a snuggle before returning to his seat to land the ship.
"Where are we supposed to go?" Tech asked as they entered the planet’s atmosphere.
"I was actually hoping Hunter could help us with that," Echo said, punching a few buttons above his head making the engines rumble.
"And what exactly do you want me to look for?" Hunter said.
"I kind of remember the general location Skywalker had been. I’ll land us there, but you can use your electromagnetic senses to find the temple," Echo explained.
"Ahsoka told me that all living things have the Force flowing through us. It’s how she and Ani could feel where we all were and that everything is connected. Everything flows through each other, which I’m thinking is what Echo is talking about.” You lifted your head to explain, “Ani said the Force is pure light energy," you remembered, recalling all the times you had caught the two Jedi meditating before battle.
"If it’s electro currents, I should be able to pick up on it, but I don’t exactly know what I’m looking for," Hunter said, watching as Echo guided the ship to an open field with rolling grasses.
"Anything that feels strange, I would assume," Tech said as the ship touched down with a gentle thud.
You tried to stand, but you were feeling too weak. Wrecker caught you before you stumbled. You groaned as he lifted you up, even though he was as gentle as could be, it didn’t change the fact your bones ached like your heart did… it craved one thing… Crosshair.
"Okay, let’s get our things and let Hunter get to work," Echo said, standing up and grabbing his pack and weapon. Wrecker carried you out of the ship like a just-married bride and into the waist high grass. Hunter knelt down, taking off his glove to touch the earth. He placed his palm to the soil, looking up over the grasses.
"There are animals everywhere," he said, looking around, but the grasses camouflaged them. He raised his gun up in the air, firing a single shot into the sky. The blast startled all of the loth cats, which picked their heads up to stare before scampering off with a meow.
"Tookas!" you said excitedly, seeing all of the different colors fleeing the area.
"They’re all over this place," Hunter confirmed, choosing the best direction. "I’m wanting to head this way," he said, pointing towards a mountain range. "There’s something with a deeper energetic vibration in that direction I think it’s a good place to start."
"Alright, here we go," Wrecker said, following behind Hunter, carrying you like you weighed nothing.
The trek felt like it had gone on forever. Even though you weren’t putting in any effort, the body chills and aches were making you miserable. This was truly hell. You honestly would have taken Hunter’s blade to the shoulder again if it meant you were cured.
"Almost there, little tooka," Wrecker said, sensing your discomfort.
"Just a little further," Hunter added, feeling their journey was coming to an end. The vibrations were becoming more tangible.
"Does any of this feel familiar, Echo?" Tech asked, pulling out his scanners as they approached the egg-shaped rock formations ahead.
"It all looks the same to me, but General Skywalker had us stay back with the ship. All I remember is the mountain range and the fields," Echo replied.
"I don’t see a temple," Hunter said, leading them into a narrow crevice. Everyone squeezed between the smooth rocks, following the sergeant. You watched Hunter as he kept switching his directions.
You clung onto Wrecker as he stepped up and over various rocks. Hunter kept bending down to touch and feel the rocks, seemingly guiding you somewhere.
You lulled your head to the side, sensing something was watching you. When you looked, all you saw was more stones. You closed your eyes and leaned back into Wrecker’s chest, ignoring the sensations. It was probably all the spirits Soka would tell you about.
"What are you feeling, Hunter?" Tech asked, raising his scanner in the air, trying to get a better picture of where they were in case he missed something.
"It’s just like a storm of electrodes," he said, looking around. "This place is like nowhere else I’ve ever been."
"Not even on Mimban?" Echo asked.
"No, this is different… it’s…" He raised his head in the air, sniffing, and shook his head. "Ugh… Just more tookas," he shook his head, "Echo, are you sure this is the place?"
"I wouldn’t forget something like this. Anakin took Ahsoka here. I’m certain."
"I miss Soka," you mumbled, thinking about the little Togruta you thought of as a sister.
"Whoa!" Tech stopped in his tracks and pointed to a ridge above their heads. "A rare albino tooka," he exclaimed, pulling down his helmet, leans to snap a photo.
"Sightseeing later, vod," Hunter said, continuing to walk. Wrecker sighed and adjusted his grip on you before trudging on.
Once Hunter got frustrated enough, he halted the group so Echo and Tech could get some water and food into you. You curled up on a flat rock, tucking into yourself for warmth against the sun-warmed stone.
"This would be a really good time for someone to have secret Jedi powers," Echo joked.
"Pip?" Hunter raised a brow at you.
"Sorry, Sarge," you weakly laughed, "Just a normy nat born."
"How unfortunate," he smiled trying to hide his worry ay seeing you like this. It was obvious you health was deteriorating quickly the longer this dragged on.
"Well, we’re not entirely sure about that," Tech joked. "Seems to be pretty abnormal if you ask me," he referred to the current situation.
"What if it was something the Imperials did to me while I was out?" you rolled onto your back, liking the warm stone, "We can’t know for sure."
"Bonds can’t be manufactured," Echo shook his head.
"While I do have special bonds with all of you, I didn’t think I had developed a mate bond with Crosshair… at least not yet. It hasn’t been long enough," you looked up at the puffy clouds in the sky.
"Stranger things have happened," Hunter shrugged.
"Have they?" Wrecker petted your hair, looking around, "This seems pretty strange to me."
Tech snorted in agreement, "Should we keep going?"
"No," you pouted, "I like this rock, it’s warm."
"We can stay a little longer," Hunter leaned against one of the egg-shaped stones, "Warm up, Pip."
You purred in content, rolling back onto your side, absorbing the heat.
Wrecker continued to run his fingers through your hair as you felt yourself start to drift off into a little nap.
Just as you were drifting off into blissful sleep, you heard a whisper.
"Pip," Hunter said so quietly you almost mistook it for the wind.
You blinked open your eyes, feeling Wrecker’s fingers stilled in your hair. When you opened your eyes, you saw the same albino tooka sitting just next to your head, staring right at you with its beaming azure eyes.
Everyone remained deathly still, scared to scare off the creature.
You watched Tech hit record on his helmet, capturing the rare moment.
You slowly lifted your head, trying to sit up. The tooka sat on its haunches, watching you. You tilted your head to the side, and it mimicked you. You gasped quietly, looking at the tiny creature. It stepped forwards, rubbing its cheek and side against your leather boots before sauntering off again. This time, you stood up, suddenly feeling well enough to walk, and followed the creature without a word to the others.
Tech was about to interject, but Echo put a hand on his chest, silencing his brother. The Alphas watched curiously as you trailed after the small creature.
"The Force," Echo whispered, jumping over a stone to catch up to you.
"There’s no way you know this is the Force," Tech grumbled.
"Why did it choose her?" Echo retorted.
"Because she’s the least threatening," Tech argued. "It is known animals prefer human females."
"No, idiot," Echo shook his head, "This is how the Force works."
"That is yet to be determined," the pilot shook his head… mumbo jumbo.
They watched you follow the tooka in a trance-like state as you squeezed between narrow passageways that they struggled to get through.
"Adi’ka," Hunter whispered, not wanting to scare off the animal.
You didn’t respond, just continued to follow the animal.
The boys shared a look of concern at your lack of acknowledgement . Echo, however, wasn’t put off. He was confident you had found what you were all looking for. He continued staying close. He had definitely seen stranger things serving under Anakin.
It wasn’t lost on him that your energy magically restored in the presence of the little creature along with your unusual attire matching the feline. The Force works in strange ways, but he was so sure.
You eventually reached a clearing surrounded by stones. The ground was covered in swirling ancient carvings spanning the entire clearing. The tooka led you to the center where the swirls stopped. Your body came to a halt, and the boys slowly inched inside, keeping to the walls.
You plopped down onto the ground, kneeling at the center and hitting back on your haunches, mirroring the tooka.
“What is she doing?” Wrecker whispered. The others didn’t answer; they just watched as you remained still, seemingly meditating.
“I don’t like this,” Hunter said, moving to step forward, but a ferocious growl halted his movements. Wrecker gasped, seeing the absolutely monumental wolf appear from between the surrounding rocks. It was a couple of feet taller than himself, which made him even more uneasy.
It snarled, baring its teeth at the boys as it began to circle you. Hunter grabbed his gun on reflex, but when he went to shoot the wolf, the gun jammed.
“What the?” He pulled the trigger again, but no blast came.
The wolf stared at him as another appeared, and then another! Five wolves in total began to walk in circles around you as you sat with the tooka almost unaware of their presence.
Then, to everyone’s utter shock, the wolf spoke, “I know why you have come to this place.”
“Holy Kark,” Wrecker shook his head, thinking he was imagining things.
“I know why you have brought this female here,” he said, looking in your direction, seeing you still in the trance. The wolf’s baritone voice sent chills down Hunter’s spine.
“We just want to know if she’s okay,” Hunter stepped forward pleadingly.
“Very few Jedi have found this place,” the wolf growled, “How is it you have found this place?”
“I’ve been here before,” Echo offered, “My General was a Jedi; he brought his Padawan here many years ago.”
“The Force has led you here,” the wolf continued his prowl, “This female is much more connected to the Force than you may have believed.”
“She’s Jedi?” Hunter asked.
“No,” the Wolf shook his head.
You felt your body grow weak, and you slumped to your side before lying down in the center of the rock monument.
“Y/N!” Hunter wanted to rush to your side, but the Wolves snapped at him, forcing him back or else he’d be met with sharp white fangs.
“Please! She’s sick!” The Sergeant was starting to feel himself get sick from worry. Watching you lay there was sending his instincts into overdrive… he felt helpless for the first time in his life.
“Young Y/N is not sick,” the wolf halted his prowl, and the others followed suit. They took a seat on their haunches, facing you like guardian angels.
“Then what’s wrong with her?” Tech demanded.
“Your people call her Ori’Sol,” the wolf rumbled.
They looked to Tech, “It’s Mando’a for many.” The pilot informed.
“We weren’t raised with our kind,” Hunter shook his head, “We don’t know who Ori’Sol is.”
The wolf stared at him with deep piercing eyes, “The first Ori’Sol was an ancient Jedi named Kaj. She was an omega, such as your mate. While omegas and alphas desire monogamy, her Jedi ways forced her to detach from these desires, and she split her soul bond into many pieces. Through her mastery of the Force, she accomplished this,” the wolf looked down at your small frame, “Thus the ancient line of Ori’Sol was born. This female is a descendant of Kaj, ten thousand generations later.”
“So what does that mean?” Hunter shook his head, trying to understand how this relates.
“Ori’Sol have the ability to have many mates, as did Kaj. It would seem her soul has already chosen before her mind and body.”
“Our brother, Crosshair?” Hunter clarified.
“He is one,” the wolf tilted his head, “But there appears to be more.”
“What do we have to do to help her?” Hunter’s worry was growing.
“We will help her now,” the wolf looked to the others surrounding her, “Sever this premature bond, but be warned, this female has a tumultuous story filled with many trials and tribulations.”
“Will it hurt her or Crosshair?” Tech asked.
“No harm will come to your mate,” the wolves all lowered themselves down onto their elbows and paws. They bowed their heads, and you rolled onto your back, looking up at the sky.
Then the brightest of white light appeared overhead, and your lithe form began to hover in the air with the power of the force.
The boys all stared in pure astonishment. Wrecker let out an audible gasp.
The wolves continued their Force magic, lifting your body higher as more and more light flooded in. Then all of the ancient carvings lit up with that same light, causing the boys to close their eyes or risk going blind. They shielded themselves from the brightness, flinching as it peaked.
Then in a blink, the light vanished.
The boys opened their eyes, adjusting to the sudden darkness. When they looked around, it was no longer mid-day; overhead, the night sky shone bright with twinkling stars, and your form lay alone in the center of the clearing still on your side.
There were no longer any wolves or tookas, just the five of you alone in the Lothal wilderness.
“Y/N!” Hunter ran forward, kneeling down at your side, rolling you over onto your back, and feeling for a pulse. You groaned, feeling his hands poking around your neck frantically.
Hunter sighed with relief.
Tech pulled out his datapad to scan your temp, “Back to normal.”
“Did they do it?” Wrecker asked, leaning over you, “They fixed Pip?”
“Hold on, Wrecker, let her wake up first,” Echo urged.
You blinked open your eyes slowly, adjusting to the fact it was now nighttime. You took a deep gasp in, sitting upright suddenly.
“You okay?” Echo knelt in front of you.
“What was that?” You touched your chest, feeling slightly… empty? It was a strange feeling. Where the agonizing pain was, there was just… nothing. It felt kind of like a hole in your chest.
“The Force,” Echo nodded, “Good enough for you?” He looked at Tech.
“Fine, I concede. Next time we see a white tooka, we follow it,” Tech rolled his eyes.
“A white tooka?” You asked, using Hunter’s shoulder to help you stand up, getting used to standing up again on your own two feet.
“Yeah, Pip,” Wrecker scratched the back of his head, “There was a white tooka that brought us here, and then these massive talking wolves healed you.”
You just looked at Wrecker like he had grown three heads before looking at the others.
“He’s telling the truth,” Hunter shrugged.
“No kriffin' way,” you swatted at your white torn clothes, trying to dust yourself off.
“No shit,” Echo laughed, “Now that has to be the strangest thing I’ve ever seen.” He punched Wrecker, “I told you guys.”
“You were, in fact, correct, Echo,” Tech nodded.
“Hah!” Echo jeered, “Write that down!”
“Ugh,” Tech groaned before pulling out his datapad, trying to retrace their steps.
“Let’s get back to the ship,” Hunter turned back the way they came.
“You feeling better?” Wrecker nudged you.
You smiled, “Yeah. I feel normal again.”
“Good!” He smiled, ushering for you to walk first.
“And we know you’re not a Jedi!” Echo laughed.
You scrunched your brows, “What?”
“We’ll tell you about it back on the ship,” Hunter shook his head, leading the expedition.
“I feel like I missed a lot,” you sighed, stepping over a large rock.
“Oh yeah,” Echo replied, pushing you up onto a rock that was a little too tall.
“Ugh why can’t things ever just go smoothly?” You growled, hauling yourself up to swing your leg up.
“Because that’s not the way our lives are written,” Echo joked.
“Then I need to speak to the author,” you slid down the other side, almost plummeting into Hunter.
“Alright, it’s a quick walk once we hit the grasslands,” Hunter said, squeezing through a narrow pass.
“Sounds good,” you sighed, “I’m hungry.”
“You and me both!” Wrecker’s boisterous voice echoed between the rocks.
You trailed after Hunter, following him back the same way they came. Reaching out, you ran your fingers through the dancing grasses, feeling the smooth leaves stroke your hands. Looking out around you, there was nothing but rolling hills and the Marauder in sight. Even under the night sky, Lothal’s moon lit up the land with silvery white light. It was beautiful, you thought. You heard the chittering of wild loth cats in the distance, settling in for the night while you finally could see the ship getting closer.
Feeling a particularly strong gust of wind blow past your face, you briefly looked behind you back at the rocky mountains. Wrecker, Tech, and Echo turned to look at what you were looking at, but like you, saw nothing but grey rocks.
“Let’s make some dinner,” Hunter said, opening the hatch and allowing you to climb in first. You stepped inside, smelling the lingering scent of your distress from earlier and turned up your nose.
“I’ll start dinner, but someone explain to me what just happened out there,” you grabbed a pan off the wire rack and set it down on the electro burner.
“Well…” Hunter looked to the others, “You fell asleep on that sun stone. Then that white tooka appeared. You followed it for a while all the way to a clearing in the stones. Then five giant wolves appeared. They told us why you were experiencing that sickness, and then they healed you.”
“It was like a giant ball of light!” Wrecker waved his hands around, “Like a small sun! And you were floating in the air! And the wolves could talk!”
You looked at him with wide eyes, “I floated?”
They nodded their heads.
“Anything else?” You asked, ripping open the ration pack and putting the contents into the pan to heat it up.
“No… that pretty much covers it,” Echo set his helmet down and started peeling his armor off.
“Fascinating,” you said, still in a bit of disbelief, “So what was the reasoning for the sickness in the first place?”
You watched them look at each other, exchanging looks of trepidation. It seemed like they were trying their best to choose their words carefully.
“Mesh’la,” Hunter began, “It would seem your lineage is very, very old. On Mandalore, our people have a word for those in your line…”
You raised a brow.
“Ori’Sol,” he said, sitting down at the table bench, “The loth wolves told us that they knew why we had brought you to them. They told us you were Ori’Sol. Your lineage goes back to ancient Jedi. They didn’t seem surprised you were feeling this sickness.”
“What is Ori’Sol? Am I Mandalorian like you?” You asked, setting down your stirring spoon.
“No, well, I don’t think you are,” Tech corrected, “Ori’Sol is an old legend from our people. It’s a story about an ancient Jedi who had many alphas and many pups. She had started many lines of omegas with the same ability. They spread all throughout the galaxy over many generations.” He had been researching on your walk back, you realized.
You were still confused, “So what? Am I part of this lineage?”
“It would seem, you’re an Ori’Sol Omega. Very rare in our designations,” Tech explained, “It means you can have many mates.”
“The wolves said you were sick because your soul had already chosen Crosshair as a mate despite no bite,” Echo said.
“What?” You shook your head with a laugh, “That doesn’t make any sense. Crosshair isn’t my mate.”
“It doesn’t really seem to make a difference. It’s more like your soul chose him as a mate,” Hunter explained, “Which also means that if the same rules apply, so did he.”
"That's why you felt the pain of the betrayal after Order 66," Tech pointed out. You just stood there, confused, jaw hanging open, flabbergasted. "How is that even possible?"
"I'm assuming that's why Crosshair had to be tortured. He was fighting the clone programming, trying to save you," Tech nodded.
You felt tears welling up in your eyes. Quickly wiping them away, you took a deep breath to center yourself. "Okay, but I know he's not my mate... he doesn't smell any different like everyone says a mate does."
"I think it's one-sided with an Ori'Sol," Hunter thought. "That makes the most sense as you smell very unique to us."
"Fives said even you smelled good to him," Tech typed into his datapad, looking for an answer. "What if an Ori'Sol carries the unique scent to attract many different alphas instead of just the fated singular partner?"
"Uh, this is getting more confusing," Wrecker plopped down next to you while you continued to cook.
"This is just a hypothesis," you shook your head. "I've never even heard of Ori'Sol Omegas before."
"Not many have," Tech said, scrolling through information. "It seems a lot of them have historically been executed."
"Oh, great," you sighed, picking up a plate to dump the steaming contents of food onto for Wrecker.
"Except on Mandalore," Tech showed you his datapad.
You read through the explanation. Since Mandalore had many matriarchal practices, Ori'Sol omegas were considered great gifts to society. Their unique nature was seen as a blessing from the gods.
"Hmm," you ripped open a packet of freeze-dried vegetables and started rehydrating them.
"Pip is a blessing," Wrecker crushed you into a hug. You squeaked before going limp. Wrecker smiled and put you back down on your feet with a kiss to your head. You looked at them as they stayed standing there, looking like they still had something else to say.
"Spill it before I make Echo tell me," you pointed a spoon in their direction.
Hunter swallowed and looked to Tech.
Tech pushed up his goggles. "The last part of the interaction with the loth wolves revealed that you also view... us," he gestured to his brothers, "as your mates."
You felt the blush creeping up on your cheeks then looked down to the food, continuing to turn them over in the sizzling pan.
"Anything else?" you coughed, feeling Wrecker staring into your soul.
"And the wolf told us to take care of you," Hunter whispered. "To take care of our mate."
You looked up at him. Did that mean... no...
"Your soul chose us mesh'la, but it seems ours chose yours too," Hunter crossed his arms over his broad chest.
You turned off the burner and set down the spoon starting to feel your heart race. Hunter perked up hearing the change in speed.
"I don't even know what to say," you sat down, running a hand through your hair, feeling stress flooding your system. "That means we're mated? I don't understand… If I leave your sides, am I going to, like, die? What if something happens to one of you? Oh my god. Is that why they had to put me into stasis while you were off-planet? Oh my god... oh my god!" You stood up abruptly, "Crosshair's never going to stop searching for me... He's going to go fucking feral!" You squeaked. "He's probably coming right now!”
Echo stood up. "Relax, there's no way he knows where we are."
"But I've seen him track his targets. He's almost as good at it as Hunter," you whined. "It's only a matter of time!”
"Y/N, please calm down," Tech sighed. "You're going to faint again."
You let out a stressed cry before starting to pace in a circle. "What exactly did the wolves do to fix the bond?” You touched your sternum, “It feels empty in here.”
Hunter looked down at the ground, knowing you weren't going to like the answer. "They severed it," he said with an exhale.
You shrieked. "He's going to think I'm dead! If there's a bond, he would have felt it! He's going to hunt you all down to the ends of the galaxy!" This was so royally bad. Crosshair was definitely losing his damn mind right now. Probably tearing apart Tapoca city and murdering everyone in sight as we speak.
"We can handle Crosshair," Hunter reassured. "You need to try to calm down or you'll faint like Tech said."
You forced yourself to sit back down.
"What about the Empire?" you looked at them frantically. "They know! And they wanted me for something. They let Crosshair be around me... and Tarkin! They know exactly what I am."
"We still need to figure out what that might be, but maybe it won't matter if we just lay low and stay out of the way of the Empire," Wrecker suggested.
"And where could we possibly do that?" you growled, pushing your palms to your forehead. "They're everywhere. You guys don't even have any credits!"
They blanked, realizing this might be a little more difficult than they had realized.
"Oh my god! My credits!" you stood up. "We have to go to a banking system right now! I have to pull out all my credits before the Empire seizes them." You stole Tech's datapad from his hand to start searching for places. "If they're coming after me, or if Crosshair is, they'll know where I am when I pull the money. We'll have to leave quickly and hide somewhere fast."
"Assuming they haven't changed the currency," Tech noted. "If that's the case, then I think your credits may not be as valuable."
"Regardless, we have to do this fast," you nodded to the ship console. "Get it going or whatever Hunter says."
They looked to Hunter, who repeated the same gesture, and they sprung into action.
"What system has your same banking union?" Tech asked, taking back his datapad. "Ord Mantel?" He scowled.
"It's the closest, and yeah, my bank is a little sus. That's what happens when you grow up dirt-poor on Coruscant," you crossed your arms defensively.
"Ord Mantel it is," Tech punched in the coordinate codes.
Hunter wrapped a hand around your bicep, guiding you into the bunks. You allowed him to drag you through the ship before stepping aside away from his brothers. "Don't think I'm just going to let you gloss over the fact that we're mates," he cornered you, pressing you against the wall of his bunk.
You pressed your hands to his chest and looked up at him as he caged you in. Your heart continued to race but the adoring look in his eyes started to dull the panic.
"I don't even know what to say or think, Hunter..." you looked down suddenly, too overwhelmed by his intense eyes. "This is just happening so fast."
"I literally witnessed the craziest shit of my life today, only to confirm that you are, in fact, made for me," he gently gripped your chin, lifting it to force you to look at him. "We can take it at whatever pace you want, mesh'la, but I'm never, ever letting you go.” He vowed.
You struggled to breathe; he was making you feel warm and tingly. "I just want it all to happen naturally. There isn't exactly a handbook for this particular situation."
He chuckled. "Wouldn't that be nice?"
"The universe is changing so fast... and—" you croaked, "and Cross..." Your heart ached just a tinge, "This isn't the situation I imagined when picturing my future with my husband."
"I don't think it was for any of us," he agreed, "We kind of just came to terms with the fact we'd probably die on the battlefield. I never thought we'd be here now, but as shitty as it is, I wouldn't change it for the world as long as I get to have met you." He nuzzled the side of your head.
"I wouldn't change it either, Hunter," you sighed, "I just don't even know how to handle this. Like, are you all okay with this? This is kind of crazy."
"I think my vod are fine with it," he let out a breathy laugh, "We've wanted you for much longer than all of this."
"Do you think the Ori'Sol thing is why you were all more inclined to share?" you wondered.
"Maybe," he nodded, "Clones have a tendency to share everything... even women," he smirked, "But this always felt a bit deeper, I think."
"You think the Force bonded our souls earlier than all of this?" you asked.
"Yeah," he smiled, "I do."
"I'd like to think that too," you smiled up at him. He returned the expression before leaning forwards to bring his lips to yours. You smiled into the kiss, letting him guide you.
This kiss was so much more different than the ones before. It was filled with so much love and emotion, you felt yourself flutter with excitement.
"Hey… Hey!" Wrecker burst into the room pouting as you two broke apart smiling.
"I want pip time," he reached for you, but Hunter shoved him away.
"She's not a toy, Wrek," he growled.
"I know," he crossed his arms, "She's our mate."
You shivered from the conviction in his voice. It felt so right to hear him call you that. It felt like you belonged. And you hadn't felt like that in a long while.
You felt the ship rumble as it lifted into the air. The trip to Ord Mantel wouldn't take long, according to Tech, which you were glad for. Time was of the essence.
You looked between Hunter and Wrecker, "So how does this work? How do I make sure you're all happy?"
Hunter crossed his arms, "We can make a schedule, so everyone gets their fair time with you on their own. We can start building relationships that way."
"Works for me," Wrecker agreed.
"And what about…" you pointed to your neck, specifically the gland there, "How does that work?"
"One bridge at a time," Hunter smiled, "Plus, I don't think we're ready for that big step yet, huh?"
You nodded, glad that was his answer. You were a little intimidated by a lifelong commitment like that, but then again, you didn't know if that even would apply to you in this circumstance.
An omega with multiple alphas? That's insane. This whole thing is insane...
"Can I have the first night?" Wrecker asked, making you smile at the lovey eyes he was giving you.
"We draw straws," Hunter rolled his eyes.
Wrecker groaned but relented. Fair is fair.
~~~
"You're seriously drawing straws?" Echo shook his head.
"Well, what else do you suggest?" Hunter held out his fist with the straws.
Echo just shut his mouth to let the sergeant carry on.
"Longest gets the first night, shortest gets third," he said, holding out his fist.
Tech drew, then Wrecker, leaving Hunter with the last one.
They all flipped over their palms, revealing the stick lengths.
Wrecker groaned; his was third.
You stifled a giggle at his forlorn expression.
Tech revealed his, then Hunter.
Hunter had the longest, and Tech had the middle.
So that was the order... eldest to youngest, how coincidental.
"So that's settled," you smirked, leaning into Echo. He just threw his scomp arm around your shoulder, watching Wrecker grovel for Tech's night instead. You laughed, feeling the first semblance of normalcy again... even the nagging reminder of Crosshair settled in the back of your mind giving you a moment of peace.
Echo then whipped around, hearing the telltale chime that you were exiting hyperspace, "On approach," he said, sitting back down in his chair with Tech.
"Ord Mantel, everyone," Echo said, directing Tech to the nearest empty spaceport.
The Marauder was set down gently, and the five of you exited the ship. You threw the last few remaining credits you had at the port owner before taking off into the unfamiliar city.
"The bank should be just up here," Tech directed everyone to a seedy-looking building.
"That doesn't look like a bank," you raised a brow.
"It would appear to be a local dive bar, but it says here that the owner has a money transfer machine inside," Tech replied.
"Whatever works," you dug around in your bag, pulling your bank card out. Hunter entered first with Wrecker, while you followed behind with Echo and Tech.
The bar was dark and dingy, with two locals playing sabacc at a table, but other than that, the place was empty. You saw the money transfer machine in the back corner and made a beeline while the others checked out the bar.
While you were plugging in your banking info, Echo and Hunter settled at the counter.
“You know her credits won't hold us for long. The Republic doesn’t pay anyone very well,” Echo pointed out.
“It will be enough to get us on our feet. We’ll pick a low-key planet on the outer rim and find some land to keep her safe,” Hunter rested an elbow on the table, watching you carefully.
“You know he’ll come after you,” Echo said lowly. “She’s right, it’s only a matter of time. Especially if he thinks she’s dead.”
“He won’t be able to find us. We won’t leave a trail,” Hunter replied.
“What happens if she needs him?” Echo asked honestly. He was still worried you’d eventually turn sick again.
Hunter stared at his vod. “Then we’ll find him.”
“You make everything sound simple,” Echo shook his head. “Nothing about this is simple. What if this new empire decides they want her?”
“Then we’ll disappear,” Hunter stared at you. “I won't lose her, Echo. I can’t.”
Echo sighed as you came trotting over. You gave them a solemn shake of the head. “It didn’t work,” you groaned, “They already changed the currency.”
Echo looked to Hunter.
“I hear you need some work,” a smiley voice caught all of your attention.
“And you are?” Echo deadpanned.
“The owner of this fine establishment,” the Trandoshan waved around. “I’m Cid,” she narrowed her yellow eyes. “You’re clones.”
Hunter furrowed his brow.
“I’m in need of some muscle. You guys complete this job for me, I’ll split the earnings 60% - $40,” she offered.
“What do we get out of this?” Tech asked. “We seem to be doing all the heavy lifting.”
“I don’t tell the Empire sweet-cheeks is here,” she pointed at you with her gangly claw, “and we both get paid.”
Hunter tensed. She must have overheard him talking to Echo at the bar. Kark.
“What’s the job?” Hunter asked skeptically knowing they are going to be in desperate need of some credits.
“A rescue,” she pulled out a bar stool to sit. “I need you to find a kid named Muchi…”
Get ready for the smut.... its... coming 😏
Rebels rewatch liveblog: Season 1, Episode 4: “Fighter Flight”
I love how Ezra immediately tries to flirt with Sabine - it’s very realistic for a 15 yo boy. I like that they just ended up as friends/siblings though, it shows both of their character development and maturity
…
Thank god Chopper never met the 501st because his little shit instincts would have overdeveloped
…
Kothal on Lothal? How on earth did they get that?
…
We really don’t give a lot of credit to Hera, she deserves more 😭😭
…
Okay but why does the Empire need meilooruns?
…
Usually when characters speak to themselves it sounds odd and sort of like a video game, but in Rebels they do a good job of making it sound natural
…
Zeb’s insistence that Ezra and him need to be even makes me wonder if the Lasats had a life-debt culture? It’s canon in other cultures such as gungans, so it wouldn’t be that much of a stretch…
…
I love Hera and Sabine’s dynamic
…
“THE KIDS”?? “THE KIDS”?? You are correct sir, you and Hera and the exhausted parents, Zeb is the older brother, Sabine is the cooler older sister that everyone is intimidated by, and Ezra is the disaster youngest who’s the parents favorite and no one can stay mad at. (Honorable mention: Vodka uncle Chopper)
…
Rebels s1 shows the Empires day to day, which I love. Sort of like Andor but with much lower stakes - of course they’re taking farms, of course they’re buying meilooruns at a local market.
…
I love the reference to a new hope ❤️❤️
…
Ezra’s absurdly powerful for someone who’s only trained with the force for like?? a week?? Like he’s already sensing obstacles and pushing buttons. Speaking of, i think that it would have been interesting to explore the idea of Ezra using the force before he met the Ghost crew - not knowing what it is, just knowing that it helps to convince storekeepers to give him food
…
“You did all this for fruit” stormtrooper you will always be famous
…
Ezra it’s YOUR backpack 1. Why do you not know what’s in it?? And 2. Why do you have a WRENCH?
…
Brother brother bonding time by killing stormtroopers and hiding stolen vehicles <3
…
Zeb trying to show that he cares by giving Ezra the helmet, only for Ezra to dismiss it is so sad, but it probably speaks volumes for the social skills that Ezra couldn’t develop on the streets (he took it tho <33)
Raising Kanan and Ephraim
(aka a look on Ezra and your married life ft. The ghost crew!)
Note: this will be in the bullet point format and mainly consists of notable events in reader and ezra's married life and what it was like having kids.
Also mentions of sexual intercourse because babies don’t come from storks! (Im looking at you mom.)
Newly Weds
• The married life was finally yours. After years of pining, waiting and finally dating, you and ezra finally tied the knot.
• its a small and intimate wedding, followed by an even smaller reception since the both of you decided that purchasing a shared house in Lothal was easier than spending too much credits on a nice hotel in Naboo or Coruscant.
• The honeymoon was nice, repainting the house, fixing up the rooms, christening the rooms with sexual activities for fun, cooking and eating together, etc.
•Most of your time was split with working for the resistance and spending much needed time together.
• You and Ezra knew you wanted kids and were actively trying to conceive, so you can let your imaginations wander as to how you two spent your free times.
• All in all your life as newly weds was as fun and full of trying to get used to each other.
Pregnancy and all it involves
• Ezra and you found out about your pregnancy after you got sent to the infirmary after your mission went awry.
• Ezra found out first since you were still asleep as you lost consciousness. To say that he was happy beyond relief was an understatement. He felt so overwhelmed.
• The moment you woke up he hugged you and peppered your face in kisses, both because you woke up and because you two were about to become parents. Ezra told you the news when you got to clm him down.
• Most of your pregnancy was spent having the rest of the crew watch over you, having Jacen literally help you around as you were banned from taking missions (something princess leia and Luke were very adamant about when Senator Xiono was about to send you when you were around 3 months pregnant. Ezra didn’t take that lightly and nearly wanted to let Jacen and Chopper do as they please.)
• You had very normal cravings. You wanted more fruits and bread, which ezra, who was finally learning how to bake, got to put his skills to the test.
• finding put that you were having twin boys was also funny. Ezra fainted and yet woke up immediately and was very emotional. Sabine had to console him because him being emotional made you emotional and the doctor didn’t know how to comfort two crying adults.
• did anyone hear ✨uncle jacen✨, seriously Jacen refused to be called anything less than uncle. Did he know about the responsibilities of being an uncle? Kinda. Did he care? No.
• Hera guided you and ezra in the majority of your pregnancy. Giving you two a lot of pointers, while the ghost crew helped ezra baby proof the house.
• when you gave birth, ezra cried again. He loves his sons, he claims they look so much like you but with his hair and his eye color.
• there were lots of sleep less nights but it was all worth it. You just had to scold both ezra and jacen about showing the babies their lightsabers.
When The Twins became Older
• When they were around the ages of 5, ephraim, the younger of the two boys, showed prominence in his ability to wield the force. He was happy to finally send toy blocks to smack Kanan from afar. You scolded him for that.
• kanan, although not strong in the force was a very protective boy over you. Whenever you or ezra were gone for missions and they were left with Huyang whenever he was also left behind by ahsoka, he would find that both boys are force sensitive, but kanan couldn’t wield it like ephraim.
• kanan wanted to be like you, a pilot. He used to tell his younger twin that one day, he’ll become a pilot so that you can have enough time to rest and enjoy life again. Such a sweet boy.
• ezra loves his children, but he also loves teaching them things, like coming up with aliases, claiming hag the name Jabba the Hutt is now a name they can all use since the legendary slug is dead.
• ezra gets pranked by his children the most. They once claimed that if he was so force sensitive he should’ve been able to dodge that bucket of water by the front door. Ezra was preoccupied that time.
• Uncle jacen teaches the kids some basic first aid and show them around the resistance base whenever you all visit.
• when they became teens, Ephraim went with luke to train for a few years to be able to wield the force properly, while Kanan, studied to become a resistance pilot. You and Ezra were moved to only do jobs when really needed since you two weren’t as young as you were before.
• Xiono, though was still alive, doesn’t get any peace as Kanan finds new ways to prank him whenever he finds out that you and ezra were separated from a mission because Xiono said that having the two of you work together all the time was a waste of resources. Kanan set off a lot of paint explosives in his office and bedroom.
• Ephraim returned to you all and he was happy taking on a desk job for the resistance and also helps his brother, Uncle Jacen, and the rest of the ghost crew in convincing you and ezra to take on less strenuous missions or just do desk jobs or even retire completely.
• By the time they were adults, around 20-26, they had you and ezra back in your home in lothal, spending most of your time relaxing and just gathering information and sending them via secured communication. Ephraim was already a high ranking officer and Kanan was one of the most decorated pilots. He befriended poe dameron and he enjoyed teaching him little tricks and stubts, often getting in trouble together and stressing Ephraim out.
• All in all, your marriage was one of the things in your life that you considered a huge success. You and Ezra didn’t try for another child after the twins since, ezra and you were happy with your two boys.
• ezra proved to be an amazing father, husband and confidant. While ezra got to experience a life with you. Though not always perfect he washapoy that he just finally got his chance to be happy with you and build your beautiful family.
I would like there to be a fic where the "three solobrats" and early love interests (YJK, JJK era, so A/T, J/TK, J/Z) end up time-travelling to the prequel era (probably shortly after Geonosis), and the Organa-Solo kids are excited to meet their not-evil-yet granddad.
This goes off the rails when Tahiri freaks out as soon as Anakin 1.0 enters because that is the monster of folklore who slaughtered a whole tribe of Tuskens, down to the youngest baby.
Because you can't convince me that in this AU a) Anakin doesn't go down as some sort of ghost/horror story in Tusken culture, and b) curious baby force-sensitive Tahiri didn't wander off at some point and end up seeing the echo of the slaughter.
The prequel-era council obviously freaks out about 1. the time travel, 2. some of the time travelers are Anakin 1.0's descendants, 3. Anakin 1.0 apparently committed genocide (note: the fandom doesn't view this with the right amount of horror, even in light of his second genocide--the Jedi), and decides to temporarily suspend his duties until they can perform an investigation of sorts into his decision-making capabilities.
Anakin 1.0 is initially thrilled because OMG GRANDKIDS and one of them is named after him (wahoo!!), but quickly becomes pissy because the friend of his mini-me (EW, she was raised by Tusken Raiders [careful Ani1, your racism is showing] even though she's human) gets him in trouble with the council.
Anakin 2.0 now has even more issues/worries about his namesake, and turning out like him [note: this was a big plot point in his early appearances].
Jaina & Jacen are kinda worried about this because now their granddad was bad from an earlier point??? and they don't know what to do with that. (Jacen is jumping from joy because a bunch of animals that went extinct during the Empire's rule are still alive; Jaina finds out there were apparently seven lightsaber forms before Knightfall, and decides to crash all the basic training classes. This is hilarious because she's older than the enrolled students for the more basic forms like Shii-cho.)
Tenel Ka and Zekk are along for the ride:
("Wait, she's the heir to the Hapes Consortium?" "yes" "and they're letting her be a Jedi too?" "yep" "politically is that allowed?!?" "I mean her mom's from Dathomir?" **jedi padawan noises of imploded worldview**)
("so Zekk what about you" "oh, I'm a Coruscanti street rat :)" "ah ok, so the order found you easily!" "I guess your version would, but the Jedi got massacred, so I didn't start training until I was a teenager :)" **choking noises** "oh yeah, Emperor Palpatine was a total hardass, I'm so glad my friend's parents got rid of him, I'd probably be dead or totally evil if he was still in power" --at this point the padawan(s?) they're chatting to [maybe Barriss; she seems politically aware enough to worry about the heir of a major political power also being a Jedi--she's probably also read about Xanatos] decides to bring them to the council)
It goes something like "Didn't they mention, Darth Vader & the clones slaughtered pretty much the entire Order. Some of the younger padawans escaped (their masters died for them (and oh, doesn't that hit hard)) and ran until dark siders who served the Emperor hunted them down (this can be vaguely compliant with some Rebels content; assume the Rebellion-era is more fusion with new canon, except Thrawn doesn't engage as much with the Lothal cell, and thus is around for the Thrawn trilogy on to proceed (thus inquisitors exist and so too do the Hands--maybe Mara is Palpy's spy in the inquisorius's ranks; Starkiller can be Vader's; Death Star plan theft follows TFU more than R1) it hits hard that some of their own (their children, their future) work to destroy the vestiges of what they were).
Then they find out that Darth Vader, the Sith Apprentice--the emperor's attack dog, his right hand--is Anakin (1.0), the boy they took in, the one they protected, the one some viewed as their savior, the boy winning battle after battle, the one shining bright, the Hero With No Fear, the boy whose fear of losing everything, everyone he cares about is slowly tearing him to shreds, the foolish, foolish boy who will doom the galaxy to save one person and fail at that, the buy who burned and burned, scorching those around him until he was alone, and still burning, until he burned himself to save another foolish boy, the younger burning like a candle, steadily, warmly, rather than like the sun, and Anakin (they can't bring themselves to hate him, even knowing what he will do--they see the sweet child who loved his mother, who wanted to free all the slaves in the galaxy), seeing the warm, kind candlelight of the other boy, the brave, foolish child, his child, his son, and knowing he will burn him, sees the vacuum of space (the cold, cold man who made him burn everyone, who made him lose everyone, until only the vacuum was left behind, the only one he could not burn away), sure to take the air around the lone, kind candle, and the sun (Anakin) burns itself (himself) out, becomes a supernova to push the vacuum (empty, cold, always hungry) away from the candle (the son), and saves the brave, foolish boy who came to help him, but he feared burning most of all (the burning sun of Tatooine burns himself out, after burning with hatred for the better part of two decades, for another desert child, one who burns with warmth, like a hearthfire, and asks for the girl who burns (with the passion of justice, with compassion, the girl who is like him but not for instead of burning the world for those she loves, she who would burn herself out, the girl who would burn her enemies (those who seek the harm the world) for any who deserve kindness, who burns internally, but is willing to burn others as well) to forgive him, and she does, eventually, she names her steady hearthfire of a son after him, and hopes against hope that he (her son, one of her three suns) will have a happy ending, that he will not burn himself out like his grandfather, his namesake [Anakin, her son, he burns too: for his siblings (they will burn as well, his brother like his grandfather--maybe he should have been Anakin instead--and his sister, burning, the one to put out her twin's light, twin suns of Tatooine, one snuffed out the other), his friends (they break apart, the group splintering, fragmented after the war is won; even before), his love (she breaks, in a way not even being shaped by the black holes, put under pressure in the hope of her becoming one, can do; for a while she fades away to almost nothing, invisible, until the brother, seeing the broken, invisible girl takes her, and tries to make the broken puppet of a girl dance for him; it works for a time, building more cracks in her skin until she shatters, and the people who loved him, Anakin the second, the bright boy who burned himself away too soon, see the girl again, no longer invisible, and try to help her [pray they are not too late to put her (shattered, porcelain, crushed spirit, a shell of her former bright self) together again]), for the galaxy; but at this part of the story we don't know his fate, to burn and burn until there is nothing left, until the force takes him away, to burn so hot, so bright, so light, that his enemies (true voids in the force--black holes--not like the cold, hungry vacuum that desired, took the sun of his grandfather) burned away as well; he burns away, but as a hero. This does not stop his mother from her agony; it is all his father can do to hold himself together to stop her shattering like the girl everyone forgot, the invisible girl who loved his son, who would (and does) do anything for the memory of a boy who left the galaxy too soon].
This is the story they tell: of the angry sun who burns everyone (especially even those who offer him kindness), the boy-candle, the girl who burns with the heat of a thousand suns but never harms those undeserving of that fury, the scoundrel with the hard exterior who inside is kind, the brave wookie warrior who lives [and dies, though they will not know it for a time] to protect them, the saviors of the galaxy;
and others as well: the girl who was almost snuffed out by the vacuum, who burned as a quiet ember, whose flame was reawakened by the boy-candle; the boy who parallels her, who was trained by the angry sun to burn like him but refused, who burned out over and over again trying to prove himself, and, in the end, burned out to save the galaxy, who sent the message to the rebels that worked to end the war [the message, that, too late for some, still saved billions, perhaps trillions of lives, had it not been sent (how many worlds could have shared Alderaan's fate?)].
Rebels Rewatch: "Shroud of Darkness"
Heading back to Lothal for the beginning of the end arc.
We start right away In Media Res with Kanan and Ezra fighting the Inquisitors. And man is it amazing to watch how far they've both come in their lightsaber combat.
Ezra could barely duel Seventh for a minute back in "Always Two There Are" and now he's holding his own against her AND Fifth, with help granted but still.
Part of the reason why I think Season Two has to span the longest length of time out of all the seasons.
This is almost over-choreographed, lots of spins and lightsaber twirls that are frankly superfluous but they look cool so you know, whatever.
"I don't go for crazy... anymore." Do tell Kanan, lol.
It's funny because the voice actors are married.
NO I DON'T THINK THE SYMBOLISM OF EZRA DANGLING PRECARIOUSLY OFF A PRECIPICE WITH KANAN AS THE ONLY THING PREVENTING HIS FALL IS ANY KIND OF COINCIDENCE, GIVEN LATER IN THE EPISODE.
Rebels tends to be very deliberate about these things lol.
I don't think I noticed before but the past several episodes have had no fanfare and I think we all should have taken that as a clue or portent of things to come.
A+ padawan tossing Kanan, slick move.
Ezra's effortless flip over the Inquisitors. <3
Kanan complaining but ultimately having full trust in Ezra and the proud look he gives him. <3
Ezra being polite and thanking the tibedee, aww.
Okay I should stop before I gush over every second here.
Kanan expresses some rather natural worries about the fact that his and Ezra's presence is going to put the rest of the fleet at risk, since the Inquisitors keep finding them, and determines to bring in the big gun (Ahsoka) on this one. The expressions in this scene and the quiet subtle emotion is just beautiful, Kanan's worry about how to keep everyone safe just palpable.
RIGHT, SURE. SMACK ME IN THE FACE WITH PRE-VADER ANAKIN FEELS WITH ANAKIN MAKING HOLOCRON LIGHTSABER TUTORIALS FOR YOUNGLINGS.
Anakin would have loved Ezra. *sobbing*
Subtle animation appreciation moment: Ezra creeping around very carefully so as not to disturb Ahsoka's meditation, and the way his hand fumbles out for the seat.
Ahsoka talking so fondly about Anakin, ow.
I remember when this aired Ahsoka's line about, "The last time I saw him, he was running off to save the Chancellor." caused quite a bit of hullabaloo in fandom because, well, TCW Season 7 wasn't actually a thing yet, from our perspective she'd just walked off in Season 5 never to be seen again.
Writers decided to be all, "Let's incorporate unfinished storylines as if they're canon!" much to fan confusion, lol, wonder if they knew at that point that they were getting renewed to finish the last season.
"I can barely protect you." "I don't need protecting." *LAUGHS IN THIS ENTIRE SEASON* Right, how many times exactly did you get captured or in trouble this season Ezra? Yeah.
Our first hints of Hera's worried misgivings about Kanan's eventual plan to separate from the fleet.
The blockade hasn't returned yet to Lothal airspace, interesting. Maybe with the Spectres gone they loosened things just a little.
Our first time hearing Ezra's theme since I think "Legacy", a nice marker of us coming home.
Did... Ahsoka not know that Ezra was from Lothal before this? What's with the question? Did she think the Spectres just picked him up randomly on one of their adventures and take him with?
Still as pretty as ever.
Ahsoka's not confident enough in calling herself a Jedi to believe a Jedi Temple would open for her, boy this girl and her self-identity issues.
She doesn't think she deserves the title. She left and then everything fell apart and there was no more Order to return to, so she couldn't return, even though she maybe wanted to, even though she realized being a Jedi was what she did truly care about.
OH HEY, THERE'S THE DOOR PALPATINE STEALS.
And they walk down the exact same hall that Ezra would later walk down in the finale into the bowels of the Temple, excuse me, I need to--
*weeps*
I do love the Force Weirdness of this episode, how only Kanan can see the door bathed in light, how Ezra just sort of slips into the ether that is between the Temple and the Nexus of the World Between Worlds and disappears.
And I love Kanan's portion of this episode. Confronted by a vision of a dojo in the Temple and a Temple Guardian, Grand before he was an Inquisitor, who warns that trying to fight will result in failure and Ezra's fall to the Dark Side. (This speech sounds eerily similar to Grand's demoralizing speech to Ezra in "Gathering Forces" in fact.)
That immediate cold protective fury aaaaah I love it!
Grand's threat here was taken way too literally as prophetic foreshadowing by fandom BTW. Still is.
So Kanan and Grand square up and in the meantime the Inquisitors have found them. Again. I don't think they ever explained how, perhaps it's just that Inquisitor intuition that made Kanan and Ezra have to separate the first time, back in "Gathering Forces".
Hi Seventh! Hi Fifth!
Ahsoka reminiscing about Yoda. :(
Ezra, meanwhile, casually chatting the man up. XD
Kanan doing some casual Jar'Kai. Just cause.
[Insert "You're doing amazing sweetie" reaction image.]
OH BOY NOW WE GET TO DELVE INTO AHSOKA'S GUILT ISSUES ABOUT ANAKIN.
Bby girl knows deep down that he's become Vader but is still so vehemently in denial of it, the Force is smacking her in the face with the weight of her own guilt. Ahsoka feels like, "Maybe if I hadn't left..." but it's not about her, Anakin made his own stupid choices, there was nothing, metatextually, that Ahsoka could have done that would have prevented Anakin's fall it's not her fault.
:((((((((((
This is something I hope we will finally delve deep into and get over in the Ahsoka show. Babygirl needs to forgive herself for the wrongs she imagines she's done Anakin and accept that he made his choice, just like she made hers.
A snippet of Ahsoka's theme here, just for extra sads.
Oh good! It's time to play my least favorite game: Is this scene a commentary and critique of the actions of the Prequel Jedi Order or is this in-text Unreliable Narrator from Yoda as a person with obvious Survivor's Guilt.
It's especially annoying because Filoni you worked on TCW, remember all that enslaving, war criming, and general evil the Separatists were involved in on a daily basis? Are you saying the Jedi were wrong for wanting to try and stop all of that and protect the people put in harm's way? THIS WAS YOUR MATERIAL DUDE.
Love the subtle effect of the ring patterns turning red and the clear effort it's taking Seventh and Fifth to force their way into the Temple.
Kanan, meanwhile, confronted by his worst fears parroted by the vision of Grand, accepts that he cannot control his or Ezra's future, and that he should not try to. He lets go, gives up his fear of failing, gives up the instinct to cling tight to Ezra, his attachment, and acknowledges that what happens will happen, he will just do the best he can.
AND HE PASSES THE TEST AND GETS KNIGHTED BY THE FORCE ITSELF BABY!
I'm so proud of him. :)
Yoda is frustratingly cryptic, only telling Ezra, "Find Malachor" (which made KOTOR fans go nuts) before letting him fade back into realspace. To this day I'm still not quite clear just why Yoda decided to sent them that way except maybe to prove a point about what can happen when you act out of fear. Malachor does contribute to a lot of Ezra's character development, for both good and bad, so... I dunno.
Vision!Grand fighting his former co-workers aaaah I love it.
Yoda waving fondly at Ahsoka awww.
AND THE BIG DARK ASSHOLE HIMSELF IS HERE TO OVERSEE THE IMPERIAL DISCOVERY OF THE TEMPLE.
Again, I do wonder just how far back they planned the World Between Worlds reveal. Because yeah an ancient Jedi Temple is a pretty nice find but Palpatine being personally pleased with its discovery?
This episode is obviously very Plot Important but I do tend to skip it when I'm rewatching episodes, I'm not fond of the kind of downer ambiguous ending or the vaguely Jedi-critical sentiments that maybe lace through the episode.
That being said, it is a good one and definitely worth at least a couple watches. Contributes to the melancholy, "Everything is going to change" feel the last few episodes leading up to Malachor had. And that was one of this season's strengths, the build-up to what they knew would be a status quo-changing finale. Also contributes to the wider arc of the "five year plan" and the secret reason Palpatine was interested in Lothal, laying down the tracks for that reveal eeeearrrly so that it feels completely natural.
Love that. Between that and Ezra and Kanan being badass it's not terrible, just not my favorite.
I see you, Bryce Dallas Howard. I see you and I appreciate you.♟♟♟♟
(...as if the frantic "No, it's too far!" in Chapter 23 were not further proof of their canon relationship. I have subsisted on far smaller crumbs than that for dinbo. There are 3 couples in Chapter 22 in support of the dinbo agenda, not 2. I did say the Precise Moment. Also, when Bo-Katan needs volunteers from both tribes, Axe is the one that immediately follows Koska, just as after a beat Din is Bo's first-ever volunteer. Mandalorian men "I'll join you"-simp for their women and I love that for them. Y'allllll, my 2020 self is beside herself right now with my 2 ships👫👩🏿🤝👨🏾I keep winning.)
Moving on to the next thing the general public seems to take at face value, but I gotta call bullshit on -- Paz Vizsla is not dead. I do not have a complex case for this or whatever, and I am not gonna pull another all-nighter to feebly argue my position -- but I do not get any sense of finality from the scene either. I have no sad feelings at all from this episode. I am pretty damn optimistic. Like forget about the season finale -- *dinbo nation rise* again in August for a family trip to Lothal or whatever. The Clan of Three cameo is coming, we do not even have to wait for Season 4. I am manifesting this for my birthday.
Of course, I could be wrong. And I may or may not feel personally responsible for having theorised his death. Though go figure, once it has appeared to have transpired, I am unconvinced of it. Paz Vizsla is a big boy, even if not Force-sensitive; and I have seen all kinds of characters come away from all kinds of deaths as if it is Easter Sunday, including and especially in this galaxy. I do not trust any Star Wars death, in particular, anymore unless I see all the receipts or their Force Ghost. Fool me once, shame on you; fake me out how many nickels, shame on me. Though I would gladly take a nickel for this. We need our teddy bear. Ragnar needs his father. And I need Grogu's paternal uncle to be frenemy homies with his maternal uncle and keep the Force in balance between them. This is the way. (...This Is The Way x 2, for Paz.✊✊✊✊)
#I have been shipping dinbo for 3 years on practically nothing but pure feeling --#I think I can personally extend just One More Week in trusting my instincts.#a Fade To Black is a To Be Continued#nothing is final until roll credits or after an end-credits scene#Din Djarin x Bo-Katan Kryze#Din x Bo-Katan#Axe Woves x Koska Reeves#Axe x Koska#Din-Katan#dinbo
Ursa Wren is currently searching for her daughter, Sabine. She had barely survived the Empire's massacre on Mandalore, unfortunately, her husband Alrich and son Tristan were not so lucky. Plus, she had received a large burn scar on the right side of her face, and had lost an eye, so she had managed to obtain an eyepatch to cover it up. "Sabine, my daughter. I hope you are alright." She had also had gotten a serious back injury from the same explosion that scarred her face. As a result, she has a large burn scar on her back as well. She suffers from chronic pain as a result of this injury too. She thinks back to what had happened that day on Mandalore. Her husband Alrich, and her son Tristan, both cut down by the Empire, her injuries, she would have certainly died if Bo-Katan and other survivors hadn't found her and helped nurse her back to health. The rebel alliance had also sent aid to Mandalore, they had some of the best medics treat her. Although they informed her that the injuries would leave scars and chronic pain. Bo-Katan also delivered the news of her husband and son, but her daughter Sabine had been on Lothal at the time of the Imperial attack, after recovering, Ursa went offworld to search for her. As Sabine is now the only family she has left. She had done a few odd jobs for the past few weeks that she had been looking, including helping some other Mandolorian mercenaries free a village from Rodian bandits on Ferrix, during the time she had spent on Ferrix, at leas 3 of those months, she had met another Mandalorian mercenary named Raziel, who she formed a brief romantic relationship with, before resuming her search for Sabine. and had saved a young boy from a Krayt Dragon on Tatooine, even defeating a slave trading gang on Coruscant. Plus collecting a few bounties. After all that she had been through, she had finally reached her destination, Lothal she had hoped that Sabine was still there and that her journey wouldn't be for nothing, though if that were the case, hopefully there would be someone there who at least knew where she had gone. Then she could still have hope.
Bahryn Fest 2023
Day 3 - Share a promt you’d love to read.
Soooo many it’s hard to choose. I love anything set in that time period after the rebels save Lothal, but before Kallus and Zeb visit Lira San, especially if its the two of them being roommates with ✨feelings✨ and trying to figure that out. So basically -
But also, I really want Y2K au’s to become a thing. I love modern earth au’s but stories flow a lot better without smart phones in them. “Why didn’t he just text him?” He was out of texts for the month, that’s why.
Plus I think there’s a lot of potential for Y2K romance tropes, like burning a CD for someone, trusting them to feed your tamagotchi, the ps2 controllers are too far away from the sofa so you’ve got to huddle up on the floor if you wanna play Tekken with your crush.
Idk, maybe I just want them to have the squekiest sex ever on one of these bad boys.
Hey you yes you!
Are you a Star Wars fan who doesn’t have time to watch all of rebels before Ahsoka comes out but you desperately need context for the Ghost Crew side of the show? Well boy do I have the list for you!
Behold the essential Star Wars Rebels episodes!
Season 1
S1E1-2 Spark of the Rebellion
This episode will introduce you to all of the main players of the Star Wars Rebels universe.
S1E3 Droids in Distress
This episode has three main functions, it gives context to Zeb’s character and sets up his series wide arc, develops the Empire as an institution, and has C3P0 and R2D2!
S1E7 Out of Darkness
This is the big Sabine character development episode, a character which will definitely be important to the Ahsoka show.
S1E8-9 Empire Day- Gathering Forces
This is THE Ezra episode of season 1. It explains his backstory and helps the audience understand him better. It is also just a really fun episode. It has one of my favorite Kanan moments.
S1E14-15 Rebel Resolve-Fire Across The Galaxy
This is the season 1 two part finale. It has major character beats for almost everyone and sets up season 2.
Season 2
S2E1-2 Siege of Lothal
This two part arc sets up all of season 2. Also has animated Darth Vader (very cool)
S2E3-4 The Lost Commanders-ROTOR
This is an arc which stars some major players of the clone wars! These episodes gives context to what clones are doing at this point in the timeline as well as provides an important character beat for Kanan.
S2E7 Wings of the Master
Very important Hera episode! Shares some of her backstory and is just all around a wholesome time!
S2E8 - Blood Sisters
An important Sabine episode. Also the Sabine is sapphic holy text. Sabine tragic backstory time.
S2E11 - Legacy
One of the most important Ezra episodes. This will have you crying by the end of it. It is also an incredible episode all around
S2E14 - Legends of The Lasat
One of THE Zeb episodes! The score, the animation, the writing. There are so many good things to say about this one.
S2E16 Homecoming
A very important Hera episode. This episode displays so much of Hera’s resilience as a character.
S2E17 The Honorable Ones
If you were going to watch any Zeb episode this has got to be in the top 3. It showcases the character development he has gone through throughout the last 2 seasons. Also this is the Kalluzeb holy text you’ve heard so much about.
S2E21-22 Twilight of the Apprentice
Ahhhh sooooooo good! At the the time this was the resolution to Ahsoka’s story that we never got and it still is such a good resolution to The Clone Wars. The score, the animation, the writing, you will be crying by the end of this.
Season 3
S3E3 The Holocrans of Fate
Very good Ezra episode. Is sorta the conclusion of his dark side era (for now). Also Darth Maul realness in this episode!!!
S3E4 The Antilles Extraction
Sabine in her spy era!!! A very good display of her character. Also there’s a very good twist at the end of this one.
S3E5 Hera’s Heroes
Hera episode!!!! Also Thrawn episode and God is he scary in this one.
S3E10 An Inside Man
Many a twist and turn in this episode. I can’t say much more without giving it away.
S3E20 - Twin Suns
Ezra episode but once again I can’t say much more than that without giving it away.
S3E21-22 Zero Hour
Ahhhh it’s so hard to explain season 3 without spoilers. But know this is a very good Thrawn episode and a very good Ghost Crew episode
Season 4
S4E1-2 Heroes of Mandolore
Sabine episodes as well as continuation of the siege of Mandolore arc from the Clone Wars
S4E5 The Occupation
The following episodes are important for largely the same reasons. It sets up the end of the story and the end of these arcs
S4E7 Kindred
S4E9 Rebel Assault
S4E10 Jedi Night
Bring some tissues (can’t say anything else because it’s a spoiler)
S4E11 - Dume
OUCH! Great character moments for everyone but at what cost
S4E12 Wolves and a Door
Amazing world building
S4E13 The World Between Worlds
Very good Ezra episode!!!
S4E14 A Fool’s Hope
Very fun team up between familiar faces from across Star Wars. A much needed breath of air between two major episodes. But still super important
-S4E15 Family Reunion - and Farewell
The end!!! Sets up where all the characters are going to be in Ahsoka. Bring tissues to this one too.
Part 17 - Unforgiven
Part 18 - The Depth Of Fear
You had retreated to a seedy, out-of-the-way bar. A place where no questions were asked. Fives and Rex still had to keep their faces covered by their hoods. The clones' faces were just too familiar and too conspicuous.
Under the table Fives held your hand, his fingers kept moving, he was a little nervous, restless, in good and bad ways. He feared you might be discovered, but he was also incredibly excited to see Rex again and to hear news about the resistance. The idea that he could be part of it pleased him very much, you rather less. It just meant new dangers for both of you, and really you just wanted Fives for yourself. That might be selfish, but in your opinion, Fives had experienced enough trauma for one lifetime, especially considering how short his life had actually been so far.
Rex looked at you, you knew he recognized the skepticism in your eyes, your reticence, and that he interpreted your silence correctly.
"You don't seem very enthusiastic about our proposals," he says quietly.
You looked at him seriously and replied, "About seeing Fives go back into battle? Of wondering again if he will ever return to me? Yes, indeed, I'm not necessarily looking forward to that."
All eyes were more or less on you in surprise.
With a sigh you said, "But I know how important this resistance is and how much Fives is a soldier, how much his fingers itch, I feel it even now. If it is his wish, I will not stop him. It's not my place to do that."
Fives looked at you urgently, let go of your hand to put his arm around your shoulders, gently pulled you close and kissed your temple.
"It means a lot to me that you are willing to support me, Cyare. But I don't want to make you unhappy, either."
You turned your head to face him and said with a small smile," You'll just have to come back to me after each mission."
Fives smiled, his words sounding full of conviction as he said, "I will".
3 Months later on Lothal
It was just as you feared. The anxiety about whether Fives would come back was again the order of the day. He had not reported back at the agreed time, nor had Rex. By now, even Ahsoka was nervous.
"I knew this would happen," you said tensely.
Ahsoka could feel your tension very clearly in the Force, you radiated a helpless anger that was outright blazing.
"We'll have to wait and see. Rex and Fives are very capable soldiers."
You gave her a sharp look and said more harshly than you had planned, "They are very good soldiers, that may be. But everyone has their limits, including them. Neither Rex nor Fives can depend on the magical Force to get them out of trouble"
You took a deep breath and said much more calmly, "Sorry. I didn't mean to snap at you like that"
Ahsoka nodded and said, "It's okay, I know. You're worried about Fives, I understand that"
"I'm not so sure about that"
Ahsoka looked at you in surprise.
"What do you mean by that?"
"Have you ever loved someone so much that you felt pain when you were away from that person? That worrying about that person choked you, kept you up at night, and tied your organs in knots? That you would willingly give your life anytime to see that person again?"
Ahsoka sighed softly and shook her head.
"No. Not to that intensity," she admitted, "But I would give my life for Rex as well as Fives if the situation called for it."
You said, "It's not the same. What you feel is not love, but a kind of sense of duty. But I can't blame you for that, you were raised not to form those kinds of bonds."
Ahsoka sighed, propped her hands on the console in front of her, and seemed to think for a moment.
You looked at her and said much more gently, "Don't get me wrong, I admire you, your discipline, your sense of duty. And I know you have a good heart, I would never want to deny that. I'm just frustrated out of concern for Fives. I hope you understand that."
Ahsoka looked up and smiled.
"I know. Fives is a lucky man. He has something that hardly any clones get to experience. True love."
Your smile grew a little wider. You couldn't wait to hold him in your arms again.
The beeping of the comm jolted you out of your thoughts. Sure enough, it was Rex who appeared on the holo.
"Send the medics to the landing platform, we have an emergency!"
That was all he said before his image disappeared from the holo again. Shortly after, you heard the sound of a shuttle landing. Ahsoka reacted immediately and sent medics to the landing platform. You followed her there and felt your limbs grow heavy as lead, your chest tightened, and your heart seemed to want to roll over. Rex and Fives had been traveling alone. Which meant the emergency involved Fives.
The medics entered the shuttle and came out a short time later. You had already expected it, and yet your legs began to shake when you saw Fives on the stretcher. Rex was walking next to the stretcher, behind the medics.
You grabbed his arm and held it tightly.
"What happened?" you asked sharply.
"An ambush," Rex said seriously, "They knew we were coming, they were already waiting for us. A squad intercepted us and opened fire immediately. Fives took a beating, but I think he can make it."
"He has to make it!" you murmured urgently, and unconsciously your hand tightened around Rex's arm.
You were shaking all over, you had the feeling that your legs would give way under you at any moment. Rex looked at you sympathetically, his armor had several new dents and burn marks, you noticed.
"He's going to make it," he said quietly, releasing your hand from his arm, grabbing your hand and leading you to the infirmary.
You were not allowed to enter the treatment room, only to watch through the viewing window. It felt so surreal to see him lying there. You couldn't see much of him, but the hectic pace of medics and droids treating him didn't bode well.
You were shaking so badly you couldn't hide it, your knees were so weak you couldn't stand upright. The thought that you might lose Fives dragged you down to an unimagined depth. You were breathing heavily. You automatically wanted to hold on to something, but your hands went nowhere. Rex reacted, however, and held you tightly when your knees finally gave way. He gently lowered you to the ground, where you sat shaking. Ahsoka tried to join you, but Rex shook his head and said, "I got this."
He felt responsible, after all this mission had been his idea and Fives had come along willingly, trusting his old captain.
"Breath, dear. Look at me, you've got to breathe, in and out. Slowly, deeply. Take a real breath, or you'll pass out on me," he spoke to you.
You looked at him, following his instructions without thinking. At the moment you felt lost and even though you were angry with him in a way, you were grateful for his guidance, his support at that moment.
You suddenly felt that your face was all wet, and you realized that you were crying.
You said in a strained voice, "This is why I didn't want to come here with Fives. I knew something like this would happen."
Rex sighed softly, wiping away your tears, but you slapped his hand away.
"Don't do that!" you snarled in frustration.
He raised his hands placatingly and said softly, "Okay, I won't touch you".
You felt incredibly sick, your stomach rebelling, but you breathed against it.
"I will not lose Fives," you said firmly, as if you could stop the death of the man you loved by sheer will.
Hi hello hey there so like.
With the beginning of Ahsoka coming along (😭😭😭😭 I have So Many Thoughts) I'm pretty sure my Rebels hyperfixation is maybe kinda sort of coming back and like.
God I miss my son Ezra so much I can't wait to have him back aughaugsh
Not to mention like. Does anyone else get how the music for Rebels in general just kinda Hits Different??? Like I've had. I think Sabine's theme stuck in my head (AGAIN BECAUSE OF AHSOKA THEY PLAYED IT SO MANY TIMES AND I SOBBED EACH TIME) and man.
Nothing else hits me like Rebels music does I might rewatch it again again and this time Actually Finish It AUSGSGSGS
I can't wait until we get Ezra back and he sees Lothal (don't think about the fact that he never got to see his home grow to what it is today 🙃🙃🙃) and reunited with Sabine and Hera and sees Jacen (WHERE IS HE FILONI) Boy I sure do hope nothing Bad has Happened to him that'd be a Shame <3<3<3<3 *is blatantly ignoring that one scene where Sabine is having a nightmare and she shoots up and goes "Ezra" like something bad has happened Ha Ha*
#anyway this rant got longer than expected someone help#ahsoka#ahsoka spoilers#star wars rebels#star wars#star wars disney#disney#disney star wars#ezra bridger#ahsoka tano#my stuff#being emotional over the ghost crew (ezra) again fellas 💪
Alrighty, Rebels Season 2: Electric Bugaloo, here we go...
Episode 1: The Siege of Lothal Part 1
And Ezra had scratch marks on his cheeks, to show that time had passed
While the story gets going, here's what I'm hoping for out of this 2nd season:
More shenanigans, more silly arguments, more Chopper murders
More of Hera's story, more of Kallus's story
And more villains. Is this the season Maul shows up? Or are we focusing on Vader due to last season's finale?
And where's my boy Thrawn 🥺
Uuuughhh I hate this Tua chick. Her stupid hat, her stupid finger counting...
I also hate Kallus's facial hair. It's hiding his pretty ✨frecklesss✨
Okay yeah we're getting Vader <3
You can sense her fear Ezra, that doesn't mean she's telling the truth... Fear is the path to the dark side, duhh
Also love the look of grown up Ahsoka and it's a downright shame the live action appearances couldn't (wouldn't?) mimic her longer lekku
NO
No no no
Stop going back to Lothal 😠
Pick another planet
There's thousands of them
Ooooh, Kanan and Hera in a dark hallway 🫣
If there's one thing you need to know about Kallus, it's that he uses two fingers to point down a hallway
"Oh fantastic, Agent Kallus" is what I always say.
The sound effects are giving me LEGO Star Wars vibes
OH SHIT Vader got his saber out, party's on now
So, uh, I ended up only watching 3 episodes, but boy oh boy, did I have things to say lmao
Also how should I do this... I could simply use the screenshots, but some things I want to provide more of a commentary on... Mmmh. Mix?
Mix.
S2x02 The Siege of Lothal pt.2
I mean, he wasn’t drawning his trauma with alcohol by this point, but he did have Hera, and their relationship, and their work as smugglers and the such, to keep him occupied, so am I that far off?
I mean....
Ezra, Kanan literally told you before that was a Sith Lord, honestly what did you expect :/
I’m a slut for Kanera interactions like this one, honestly
I am so normal about them
:’)
And with this I finished ep. 2 and started ep.3 and 4 who never fail to make me an emotional mess :’’’’’’’)
