Sarah J Mass stop trying to make "Rhysand would be a great king of Prythian" happen it's not going to happen 😒 Also I really take what anyone from Rhysand's posse says with a grain of salt because let's be real here. They're all a bunch of yes men never oppose him and kiss the ground he walks on (Looking at you Cassian) The only people that ever oppose them or don't kiss Rhysand's ass 24/7 are treated like shit or seen as an enemy. It's text book cult like mentality.

the Dadkuna series is great!!! Sukuna isn’t my main character that I like in jjk but this series has me SAT and WAITING for the next upload! I’ve always wondered though what momkuna and dadkuna’s relationship dynamic is. We get that sort of in how they met but what about when their relationship is established? I get the sense that obviously dadkuna would quite literally do anything for her but what exactly goes through his mind when he thinks about her?
Oh? Guess whose back 😎🤧
Me- I’m sickly too 🤭 but! The blog is picking up 🥺 and I’ve been working on this for a good time so here you go 🤍🤍🤍
Tumblr media
(Indentions are thoughts, things he didn’t actively say out loud 🥺🤍)
Lord Ryomen Sukuna, though emotionally stunted and constipated, loves his wife. Would level cities and kill men easily if she didn’t have such a strong hold in him.
But he’s a misogynist at heart to an extent. He wants you at home with his kids being his cute little wife that he knows he can always come home to. It was your overwhelming passion for helping women who couldn’t bear children that convinced him he could let you live your life, as long as he knew he had people there to look over you when he couldn’t.
He appreciates the fact that when he’s tired, covered in blood that’s not his own, and carrying the exhaustion of his war ridden day, there you are rushing to him when he enters his temple. Disregarding your fine silk robes and the blood partly way on his body. The way you cling to him, always so happy and relieved to see him come home.
The first time he came home after being gone for so long, he remembers how you cried and held on to him, your anguished filled cries when you cried about how you thought he was never coming back, how you were scared he’d left you alone. He remembers how his hands found your waits holding you a bit away, another hand coming to cup your face, thumb wiping away your tears when he looked at you with tired eyes, “It would take the militia of this land's greatest sorcerers to even consider preventing my way back to your embrace.” Your teary eyes softened before you buried your face in his chest again hugging him and clinging to him.
He longed for that feeling of your embrace whenever he would leave you behind, he could deny it but on his way home to you, his heart ached and longed to feel your embrace and hear your praises of how he had returned. You cried no more because you were filled with that confidence he would always return.
——————
He’s a traditional man with his one form of values, not once did he long for sexual pleasure or was he consumed with lust. Misery, pain and the screams of his victims fueled him and filled him with an immense pleasure no woman’s body could ever possibly offer him.
They were all the same, sultry, scandalous, attention seeking harlots, prostitutes and women. Thinking they could better their lives if they could slip into his bed. They were wrong, every woman who he allowed to enter his bed chamber under these pretences had walked in with starry eyes and ambition. Only to cry and scream for their life while he slowly dug his nails into their flesh tearing them all apart, slowly and agonisingly. That was until he saw you that one day, any girl of age would’ve started to present themselves to him in shy or subtle ways hoping to catch his eyes. There you were kneeling out of respect in his presence, scared you had offended your lord.
‘Oh? Is this little morsel afraid?’ Fear filled and humbling yourself before him. You couldn’t look at him, there wasn’t an ounce of “I want to sleep with this man.” And yet these feelings caused a sentiment in the depths of his chest, something stirred inside him, you head captured his interest (non sexual at this point). ‘Hmm?, this will be a fine pet to break.’
You were a phenomenon in the temple, one he wanted to study, to take into his clawed hands and mould, twist, stretch and push to the edge and then just over the point of breaking to see what would become of you. Yet, once he had you in hands reach, once you were close enough for him to graze your skin with his nails… he didn’t treat you like a common daisy or water Lilly, no he took you into his hands like a Lotus floating on the water's surface. Making elegant work and taking care of your delicate bloom. You would be his delicate lotus that no one else would ever take the joy in having.
——————
“My gratifying queen, My delicate lotus, My benevolent wife.” Words he doesn’t speak so freely, he whispers them against your skin whenever you’d sleep by his side.
Delicate words and honeyed names had never once crossed his mind in his existence. Yet here he was, allowing himself to indulge in the smallest amount of vulnerability with these words. The press of his feverish kisses against your neck and cheeks between every word.
‘My little beloved pet, so tired, sleeping away the wares of today. How could something so small and insignificant like you cause this shift in my existence hm?’
The back of his hand brushing hair away from your face, nails grazing the side of your face lightly, he held you in his embrace watching you. Two arms securely around you, one supporting his head, the other kept grazing your skin. You’d stir in your sleep when he shifted slightly away from you to lay on his back. You’d become so used to his body heat even on the hottest days you’d search him out half awake.
‘My little lotus,’ he closed the space between you, pulling you into his side again, ‘rest your weary head without worries of tomorrow, I’m here to hold you now.’
He wouldn’t admit it, he didn’t even know it at that moment, but he was absolutely smitten with you in ways he had yet to comprehend. But it showed in his subconscious movements. A hand on your lower back or waist guiding you, knowing you’re close and safe.
Bringing home little jewels and trinkets he’d usually never spare a second glance . That is until a stone sparkles in the light of his flames and he stops briefly to take a close look.
My queen would look Devine with these adorning her neck. These stones would make fine pieces for my wife.
It was a shock when he came home one night waking you when he sat on the bed. You sat up sleepily while he handed you a bag of precious stones and jewels telling you he had brought you a gift, a free hand of his brushing your hair back and bringing you closer by the back of your head so he could kiss your lips.
——————
It was your wedding, there you were standing beside him in the Ceremonial Robes. You stood on his right, his eyes looking down at you.
Hmm, What an enticing display, to have my little pet dressed up so exquisitely for all to see and admire.
Even more enticing to know soon you’ll be round with my child, what an ethereal sight you will be laid out in silk robes and swollen carrying my legacy
My delicate little lotus, my malevolent queen, my gratifying and honourable wife. Perhaps these thoughts never be spoken aloud with heavy sentiment. But I vow myself to you in this instant, that I will do all to assure our future, our health, our children and our endless lives.
I will assure your hand never be left cold nor alone as long as I can take it. nor will it ever be lifted in vain or to labour. Your stomach is never empty as I will assure you have the finest wine and a feast every night if it’s what your little human heart desires, your head will always have a place to rest even if it is only on my chest. Your nights will never be cold, your days will never be short, your loneliness will exist no longer, and your heart will be mine, and mine will be yours.
It wasn’t all he told himself, but it was in the moment you felt a warm sensation against your skin, on your chest below the centre of your collar bone but above your breast was the same mark you’d seen on his tongue very few times.
Ryomen Sukuna DID NOT enjoy the thought of staining your teeth black, instead he took your hand, as if vowing and brains you, the ring finger of your left hand, the base faded to a black band, above it a snark mark matching your chest and another thin black bank, just below your nail was another black band. That’s how your little husband decided to present you as his.

Just thinking thoughts about Orin and Drow lore, and idk if this has been asked already, but
If Orin had just disappeared for like a year, not even Sceleritas could find her, with how obsessive pre-tadpole Drow was how would he handle that? Aside from being prideful and murdery, I don’t remember in the pre-tadpole Drow lore about any instance (after he made it to the temple) of him expressing anything else. Did the two ever have a wholesome moment?
Hmmmm not wholesome, no. I'm sorry to disappoint people who might wanted to see a more explicitly vulnerable side to both of them at that stage in their lives, but that's just not... How I envision things. I don't think anyone born into the temple would have had much room to express themselves in the way average people do.
What they did have was an undeniable connection and mutual understanding. This lasted for about 7 years, so between ages 18-25 for DU drow. (Canonically he's currently 28, give or take). I think that, sometimes, they also silently understood among themselves that things weren't always fair or good.
This might sound like a whole load of nothing to some people, but based on the culture within the cult, Orin's story, and the behavior of everyone involved in it, it seems huge to me that two people who were essentially groomed to be the embodiment of murder would harbor any kind of care for one another, even if it was subtle. The fact that they could share a bed, talk shit about Sarevok, and seamlessly work together and share in the glory of their deeds as equals is what intimacy looked like for them - before DU drow's ego (and the very need of a more explicitly intimate connection with someone, to be fair) got to his head.
They killed together, they rolled around in blood together, they bickered and fought and one time Orin stabbed him in the gut and DU drow punched her jaw out of it's socket. Then they flopped down on the ground and cackled about it while Sceleritas rushed in to stop the bleeding. Is that wholesome? I think for deified bhaalspawn who know nothing but that life it's the closest it gets.
There had to have been quiet moments I'm sure. Like Orin waiting around while DU drow got ready to go somewhere, him adjusting her headpiece, Orin slicing her brother's long hair off when he first arrived and looked like some sort of sinewy wood's creature. At night, they probably laid in bed in silence and sometimes stared at each other until either fell asleep.
I am very interested in not inventing an obscured, soft side to Orin that we didn't get to see, you know? While she wasn't always the level of manic we see in-game, she was completely unfit to function normally due to her upbringing, and this reflects in her relationships. DU drow is also undeniably emotionally stunted, just in a slightly different way.
I got off rambling to no one's surprise LOL but to answer the first part of your question - I don't think he would have been quite as dramatic about Orin just up and vanishing, as there's no explicit suggestion of death in that. He would have been insufferable to be around for a while, but in that scenario I could see his duties keeping him busy.
Not to mention that, while through death, she would be leaving him unwillingly - disappearing with no trace implies the uncomfortable possibility that she truly, honestly, just didn't want to be around him. That allows room for contempt and bitterness to fester until you wrongly convince yourself there was never any love there at all, even if just to soothe your own conscience.
He would have just become a much, much worse person that way in the sense that he would have nothing to focus on besides for his lord's will - as horrific as his attitude towards Orin was, it is very much a human feature to desperately cling to connection. With Orin around, he had a little bit of fucked up tenderness and love in him - it was a personal desire completely separate from his "job", a vestige of free-will. Without her, he just has Bhaal and whatever Bhaal wants.
Orin has always unwittingly anchored him, and then, later freed him. And he never ever deserved any of it.

complete (for now!) character sheets of my blorbo (huge thanks to @arcandoria your contribution to the fandom is incredible bless)
explanations under the cut (there's a lot bc i'm a yapper) (spoilers!)
Bellara: Rook and Bellara hit it off pretty much since the beginning. Rook loves to tinker, and Bellara's brain is always full of ideas, so they hang out a lot together just taking stuff apart and putting them together. despite Urchin not being a mage, he has basically grown up with mages and seen magic a lot in Tevinter, so i think he'd know a little bit. they bounce off each other really well, and when Cyrian comes back and she hits a low point, he supports her with a joke or lets her rant. neither he nor she will probably ever say it out loud, since it's a sensitive topic for both, but they consider each other siblings or cousins at least
Davrin: complete opposite of Bellara, Rook and Davrin got off on the wrong foot and couldn't get up lmao. Davrin had a problem with how Urchin handles things, he considers the Lords to be unethical and rude bastards, and how Urchin rushes into battle or does careless things. Urchin also hated how heroic Davrin seemed to pose as, he's pretty much jealous of his dalish upbringing, and his history with the Grey Wardens. they even got into a fight at some point (Urchin started it, by the way). but after that, they reach an understanding that turns into deep respect for what each of them went through, and to say that Rook would miss Davrin as his unbiased opinion and who wouldn't be afraid to challenge him is to say nothing
Emmrich: at first they got along great. the Lords taught Urchin to be respectful to spirits, and he's fascinated by death and the life beyond it. but Emmrich is a very "touchy-feely", inquisitive and curious person, which Urchin is a complete opposite of. still can't get out of my head the graveyard scene when Emmrich confides and talks about his parents, and Rook, trying to react in his usual non-emotional way, makes a joke, to which Emmrich deeply disapproves and Urchin has to apologize. that's the gist of their relationship, to be honest, but it does become better after a while. his experience in life helps Urchin a lot, and he likes listening to Emmrich talk about magic
Harding: good friends who goof around a lot! i don't have much to say about them to be honest, but i think there's potential here for so many goofs and gaffs and getting in jail. reminiscent of that one "mayhem!" line Harding has in a dlc of Inquisition, i think she'd be down to cause some chaos in Minrathous or something. Urchin also understands her anger, and he's remorseful at their revelation that the Titans died because of the elves. all in all, they're on very good terms
Lucanis: hooo boy. where do i even start and how do i make this as short as possible. there's always been an understanding between these two, even beyond romance, that was just a cherry on top. Lucanis had a lot going on when he came into the story, so Urchin gave him space and support when he needed it, because he knows how something that traumatic can hurt, and that sometimes you just don't want to talk about it. it's hard for them both to express feelings, and Lucanis is a guy of action rather than words, so he cooks, gives little gifts, gestures, and Rook in turn gives him compliments, jokes with him, takes him out on dates etc because he's more of a words guy. i don't know i could make a separate post about their specific romance that i've built in my head, give me an ask if you want it i denno
Neve: his emotionally stunted wife. you probably noticed how their bars are just insanely covered with colours, and that's because of the whole "Minrathous or Treviso" thing. i milk so much drama out of that choice because it's really good! beside the obvious, Rook couldn't really save Minrathous because of his past with slavery, but he still feels so bad about it because of Neve's love for it. and i don't think she can ever forgive him, actually, but she tries moving past it. the fact that they both had crushes on each other that turned south is kinda funny to me, because they're like two sides of the same coin! she's so afraid to get close to other people, she's snarky and doesn't turn down a good joke, her sense of style is incredible (i imagine them exchanging Tevinter fashion tips). they're still close even after the game, and grow closer after it, and Rook, Neve and Lucanis become a polycule. traumacule. do you see the vision
Taash: saved the best for last i guess because Urchin and Taash are like two siblings who hate each other. well, not exactly hate. i really liked how their relationship began, when Taash tells Rook how the Lords aren't thieves, and he's like "but we stole shit! literally!" and i think there's a really interesting contrast here. Taash was taught by their mother about cultural appropriation and respect, while Rook was Isabela's apprentice. Isabela's! there's no question he doesn't have almost any morals at all. so Taash thinks Rook's a jerk, but Urchin doesn't mind it much. after that, they bond over their gender issues, and since Urchin found his identity he shares his experience with them. in turn, Taash teaches him about dragons. they're also both from mixed cultures, so they have this solidarity over their messy lives. they're neat i like them
whoever read until the end. holy shit i want to kiss you

I think I did it again
I made you believe we're more than just friends
Oh baby
It might seem like a crush
But it doesn’t mean that I’m serious
Sooooo here are my other thoughts about who Rogue is because I think about him a normal amount. Again, I haven’t read a lot of theories, it’s probably nothing new, just want to get it out of my head. I had this on my very popular three follower ig account before, but overworked it a bit. [Warning: even more meandering, I can’t keep up a straight thought to save my life, I’m sorry]
I know we all love our honest baby blue eyes not a lying bone in his body Rogue, but:
He is a bounty hunter after all, and kind of ruthless (using an incinerator when he has a big cool dangerous gun? Really?) and he could be much older than he looks to a human, and I don’t think you can have a long life of that kind if you don’t lie and cheat and use all kinds of tricks. I do think he’s generally honest (saves him the trouble of remembering lies anyway), and he’s emotionally open, but that’s not all he is. He kills people. If he was serious about pushing the button on his ship, maybe even with a smile. He’s not - that - innocent.
It’s been bugging me that the Doctor's saving throw of the psychic paper wasn't that convincing actually. So he had a proud little Timelord speech and scanned a few faces more, but Rogue was already dealing with cosplayers who went through several faces in one evening. Why does it still work?
The "new boss" Rogue mentions is for sure the same one the Meep was talking about. The Meep already said they were going to be interested in a two-hearted individual, so by now there's a bounty out for the Doctor, and it would be a big one. Which is of course what Rogue keeps an eye out for.
But Rogue doesn’t know that the man he trapped has two hearts, and the Doctor has got a brand new face (the same one the deep scan showed despite him being shapeshifter, but without the wig - shouldn’t it show a bird? Does Rogue already know that whatever he is, at least he’s not a Chuldur? Does he just enjoy making him scramble for something to save himself after the stunt with Kylie? Does he want to see if the Doctor has another cute little note for him? In any case, he has a certain glee… which is on the other hand pretty dark if he still thought he had a Chuldur and fully intended to incinerate him alive). So what makes him take the finger off the trigger?
David Tennant's face, of course.
Which is the face the Meep knew, and therefore the face every bounty hunter is looking for. And if there's one thing the Doctor can't do, then it's to stop talking, so he keeps confirming: Lord of Time. Gallifrey. Rogue remembers that name correctly later, maybe that’s a thing people with a working brain do, maybe he already knew it. In any case, instead of a lame old Chuldur, Rogue accidentally caught the biggest price of his professional life.
“Wow.”
Of course he immediately goes along with the Doctor. He's not happy about letting the Chuldur live, but he's got something bigger in front of him, so he lets it slide.
The connection they have over their loss is real for sure, I don’t think he’s pretending here. The Doctor did his best to stir up the pain earlier. Rogue isn't opposed to a kiss, but it's also hard to believe he's completely smitten already just like that. Yes, I know it’s Ncuti I’m talking about. He would also realise that the TARDIS is the perfect vessel to have a quick escape with. So what does he give the Doctor at the next opportune moment? A tracking device.
[that part is maybe a bit weak, because him wearing the ring on his right ring finger seems like a sentimental thing, which could mean he either improvised drama in the ballroom with whatever he had, or he was honestly showing his feelings. But if you give someone a tracker hidden in plain sight, your target might feel more of an obligation to wear it if you romantically pulled it off your own finger, and it’s the obvious place to keep it until useful? Third possibility, it’s a tracker and sentimental, because he and his partner used those to be able to find each other in a crisis…]
It just doesn’t look much like an ornamental ring to me. Sure it has a caduceus sort of shape, but it looks so technical. More like the kind of thing a bounty hunter creates while tinkering in his messy spaceship to help him catch his targets.
I also think he gets caught up in the adventure and he’s genuinely excited to have someone again to do all the planning and running and hiding with. He’s grinning like a kid when they both storm out of the house, and he doesn’t seem to worry too much about the trap holding only one. That would be the kind of improvising he loves and he’s got someone clever to do it with him. He’s enjoying himself. That and the dance must be tugging on him in favour of the Doctor.
All in all though he hasn't fully decided what to do. He could run away with the Doctor, have a new person to travel with, a new life, go on adventures, and have fun. Or he could convince the Doctor to get back into his ship later. Because he likes what he does: delivering targets and collecting the money. He’s suspiciously good at using a passionate kiss to steal a trigger, why should we believe he didn’t use flirting as a strategy before?
He's got the tracker on the Doctor, they are about to catch the Chuldur too, but now the gut punch happens, and the Doctor loses another friend - or is about to, at least.
I think it’s only then, when he sees that the Doctor will rather put the whole world in danger than sacrifice his friend (as Rogue might do too, if he had the chance again) that he makes his decision - that the Doctor is worth it, that the brave friend he travels with is worth it (and he already confessed to the Doctor earlier that he does not see much sense in his own life, I need to hug him). That's the deciding factor he's looking for when he asks the Doctor, because it's ultimately the Doctor deciding for him (look at the intensity in his face when he waits for the answer). Maybe he used kissing as a trick before, but he’s tearing up here for a moment. He can relate completely to the Doctor’s pain. And he keeps looking at the Doctor’s lips for two seconds before he holds up the stolen trigger. That connection is real even though he was tricking the Doctor, and nothing will change my mind.
And maybe there's a chance this madman in his ‘dimensionally transcendental’ machine can still save him after all. I’m certain Rogue got that line very intentionally, to show he understands that the TARDIS is perfectly capable of picking him up in a different dimension, as long as she knows where to look. The ring will end up being the solution. So it’s not a complete sacrifice, but a high stakes gamble whether the Doctor is clever enough to figure it out, whether he can really move the TARDIS to his dimension, and whether he cares enough to try [getting emotional thinking that he might not have seen it as gambling on something of high value, somebody hug him please].
In short: Rogue was attaching himself to the Doctor because there’s a lot of money to be made, but gets freight trained by the full force of Ncuti’s charisma and reconsiders important life choices. Would happen to any of us.

if you're taking requests, could i politely beg you for some Sasuke head *ahem* canons please 😫🥵😮‍💨 sfw or nsfw totally up to you... the way you write these Uchiha fellas is just damn perfect!! 🫶🏻 💐 💗
Nonny!!! You are officially my very first Sasuke-kun request!! I can't believe the day has finally arrived!!! Let's dissect this man to the fullest capacity, shall we?
Politely beg all you want, Sasuke couldn't care less. In fact, you'll get more out of him if you bitch a little. Not much, but enough (lol you clever slut, my gentle mind just got what you meant by 'Sasuke head *ahem* canons).
I also appreciate your praise!! I'm am merely just a vessel, spreading Lord Indra's will. Every single one of these fine ass men deserved better!!!
N/SFW; Sasuke-kun, please come back; bit of a weird AU here; just go with it
Sasuke, as we all know. Was the shadow throughout most of his childhood in the eyes of his father. His older brother took first place in many aspects of his traumatic life. I secretly feel like he wouldn't have liked being the favorite anyways.
He's so emotionally stunted, it's rather sad and embarrassing to him. Aside from the mostly 'brotherly' affection Itachi gave him and friendships of the few around him. Sasuke doesn't take kindly to your admission of want. Or belligerent desire as he calls it.
He doesn't really accept that he's taken an unavoidable liking to you either very well. Pity, really. Ask just about any Uchiha, catching feelings is like having the world's worst cold. So, Sasuke avoids you like the damn plague, but you're secretly on his mind. Which still pisses him off.
Gets so damn jealous if any other Uchiha talks to you. He knows how his family is. Especially his fucking cousin, Shisui. Despite his best efforts, Sasuke will never live this down. The moment you met, he knew you were his. Case in point. (Plus, Shisui only got your attention to prove a point to Sasuke, that his little cousin does want you.)
Dates, are not his style, but goes out of his comfort zone to hopefully garner your affections. The more he thinks of you, the harder it becomes to ignore these whims and feelings. That and your first 'date' wasn't entirely romantic or appropriate. Having his, 'emotional support fox' follow you from a distance was off putting. And creepy.
So here you are, Sasuke standing outside your door. Not capable of coping that his body is acting of its own volition. He's so on and off with his emotions. Can't decide if he is coming or going.
But in all honesty, he's very partial to coming in your mouth. Holy gods, yea. Doesn't even remember how it all led up to your gorgeous lips around the base of this cock as his hot seed slips down the back of your throat. Sasuke was so damn at war with himself that his body was on autopilot making all the decisions.
Could he really complain? Yea, probably. Though he doesn't, seeing you pop off his cock slow and cute as his cum drips a little down your bottom lip is more than enough to acquiesce his bitter mood. Cures it basically.
Makes it all the easier for him to just give in and push you flat onto the couch. A little more rough than intended, but you moan and writhe all the same. Even more so as the warmth of his mouth and tongue lavish you in a particularly primal way. Makes you question his virginal status, but not wanting to ruin the flow and your orgasm on his face. You leave it unsaid. The Uchiha are renowned geniuses, and the rinnegan really is the best at its craft. Ten times more powerful than the sharingan, its a no brainer that he holds all that raw power in the blink of an eye. Which was wielded to make you cum twice over again.
Heavy petting and lip service is what you get for the time being, I don't want top break your heart, but Sasuke is still heavily guarded...until the next time perhaps.

Hello! I stopped by this reply of yours: https://www.tumblr.com/moodymisty/741368555347574784/i-now-have-a-deep-need-for-the-salamanders-all?source=share. After reading it, I wonder what you think the situation will be if we switch to Iron Hands (considering Vulkan has a good relationship with my boy even though their personalities are different) and Iron Warrior (simply because Perturabo personally had an interesting story with a woman by the lore)? Thank you in advance for your time.
-For the Iron Warriors, there's definitely a big sea between Perturabo's beloved and his legion. While they may not be nearly as 'brutal industrial meat grinder' now as they will be in the far future, the idea of their primarch divulging any of his valuable time to such pursuits is considered pointless and imbecilic to his sheltered, emotionally stunted Astartes.
This of course goes heavily at odds with Perturabo, who in all of his grooming on Olympia to be a staunch warlord, still desired things like the arts. Hense why right off the bat, it's all off to a terrible start.
It could also go the twisted jealously route. After all it’s infamous that Perturabo hated his legion and spoke to them little, I'm sure it would burn to see the primarch you bled, got mutated, and slaved away for give his time to a random human over the thousands of men under his command.
No matter if it's jealously, anger, hatred, or a combination of it all; They despise the way they feel inadequate in comparison to the apple of Perturabo's eye.
The idea of them desiring his beloved's company is largely laughable, other than a few outliers. A few might exchange some words with you, follow orders, maybe even eye the murals you're painting with some curiosity, but not much more.
It's something that makes Perturabo quite angry, actually. That they don't see you with the same reverence that he does.
-For the Iron Hands, I think you're far more likely to see those sorts of friendly scenarios, but rarely. In the early days of the Iron Hands they didn't have that 'flesh is weak' ideology nearly as much (you can thank centuries of message twisting and some outside meddling for that) So i think the idea of their primarch bringing a 'mortal' woman into the chapter is more than a bit peculiar, but they aren't furious.
Interactions are often times extremely to the point, and outright. It's probably a bit refreshing to have them be so honest. And something I would assume for most of the legions, they find it nice that they can speak to you, and then you can speak to militarium commissars or lords without the headbutting.
You can translate 'Astartes' to 'mortal' you always say. Ferrus finds it funny. His captains take advantage of it at every opportunity.
And interest in the culture of their legion and a similar mind for straightforward battle strategy earn good points with them. They'll spend far more time with a 'mother' who thinks like them. It's a very good day when you join them for going over massive planetary maps for strategic planning.
It also makes life far easier for Ferrus, if his beloved can assimilate into the legion without the same teethgnashing that happens with Perturabo's legion.

Please write that Thistle essay.
I feel like I’m losing braincells every time I see someone infantilizing Thistle as if he’s some kind of dumb elementary schooler and not the most successful dungeon lord in history who technically controls the entire Golden Country (or what’s left of it) and spent years on magic research.
Legit saw several posts that say something along the lines of “If you think about it, he’s not actually insane, he’s just a kid”. I’m sorry, but it was directly stated in the manga that sooner or later, all dungeon lords go insane. Marcille was a mess after just one day, meanwhile Thistle has been living in this nightmare for thousand years, in addition to having so much more trauma and responsibilities fucking him up.
He’s obviously way to young for all this bullshit, but he’s not a literal child. Give him some credit.
(While we're at it, I'm politely encouraging/proposing you to write more Thistle x reader - there's so devastatingly little of this type of content. Preferably bottom!Thistle... ahem. You didn't hear me say that.)
GOD MAYBE ONE DAY IF I HAVE TIME.
Dude anon you’re so fucking woke for this. Like. Thistle is crazy. He’s insanely smart and strategic and like. HIS TRAUMA. IT RUNS SO DEEP. He is not just some kid or a bratty child at ALL
like in my mind the way he behaves is like a pretty common trauma response (mixed with the paranoia from all the shit of being dungeon lord). He’s avoiding any type of personal growth and instead focusing on every little outside detail he can control which makes him super emotionally and mentally stunted in a way. Does that make sense
I honestly wonder if people will keep up the “thistle is baby” stuff when it’s revealed in the anime he’s been executing golden kingdom members. 💀 he’s literally keeping these people alive and TERRORIZING THEM. IN THE SAKE OF “FINDING DELGAL” dude his mind is just. Paranoia soup like I said earlier.
(I’m satisfied w him getting his desires eaten only because he’s so far gone mentally there’s no sort of redemption for him. Like Mithrun tried the hard way and Laios tried to be kind but NEITHER WORKED. Thistle. Man. He’s so. Yeah.)

When I read SoC,I loved Kaz,Inej,Matthias and Nina(didn't give a fuck about anyone else). However,I was "no,no,no,no" whenever Bardugo insisted Kaz and Inej were 16/17. With some isolated moments,I would be able to believe they were particularly capable, hardened teenagers. However, seeing the whole picture made me unable to buy they were so young. Their power, reputations, mindsets in a crime-filled town. Kaz was 27/28/29 and Inej was 26/27/28 in SoC/CK,according to what Bardugo had shown us. As an adult woman who spent two years being a sex slave and 8 years growing as a criminal and recovering from her trauma while healing from PTSD,Inej is admirable. As a 16 yo girl,it forces my suspension of disbelief. Yes,teens can be clever and wise, but wise and clever for their ages, they're not adults.
As for Kaz,he's emotionally immature, but he seems more like a stunted adult man. Besides,he's basically a crime lord. If Kaz,besides being a prodigy, was the son/protege of a criminal kingpin(instead of a nobody who started from scratch),I could see him having such reputation. But as some rando that got scammed at a young age,lol nope.
Also, the Kanej dynamics would feel more believable if they were grown ups who spent roughly a decade together. Also, there's a lot of comedy fodder for the two young adults having to cat herd a bunch of wildly different teens.
Yes, yes, yes!
(For Kaz's flavour of immaturity, him as crimi-protégé and Kanej's dynamics with quite younger rest of the Crows.)
I didn't notice the first time I was reading, but then again- it went so quickly, I missed much more-, but the two of them should definitely be older.
Kaz had to learn how to survive, built reputation strong enough to be sought after in Ketterdam underworld, climb through the ranks of the Dregs and rebuilt them. Inej isn't his only discovery- he has other people he recruited, for which he'd need to learn about them in the first place and earn their loyalty. None of it should realistically take only a few months. Not without a mentor or influential relative to clear his path for him.
If you'd tell me he's in his early twenties, I'd clap my hands for how quickly he raised so high.
Inej doesn't think, speak or act like a teenager, no matter how mature. This will be one of those moments I'm avoiding, since experience is very subjective to use as a scale, but I've met mature teenagers. They might have their priorities sorted, they might have heavy responsibilities, they might have their shit together more than any official adult, but there's always something, some aspect in which you'll recognize just how young they are. Inej haven't made me feel that way once.
She's wise for her age, but she's believably wise for mid-twenties.
The way they're comfortable around each other would make me guess some five years for sure. They might cooperate closely now, but first of all- I doubt Kaz would simply let anyone so close after a few weeks. Even with her valuable skills, I think Inej would need time to "worm" her way into his confidence. Second- they're NOT friends. Friendships are built on what you have in common, and I highly doubt Kaz is willing to share his past or feelings with anyone out of his own free will. Their relationship looks more like something, where Inej grew to trust him and opened up little by little, and AFTER SOME TIME managed to notice and figure out bits and pieces about him. Even ordinary co-workers bond by talking about their daily life. Kaz and Inej shouldn't have that. At least their first year or two.
It might be mostly that emotional maturity, but I'd guess Inej a bit older than Kaz.

Why does Jon Connington dislike Elia so much? She died in such a tragic way, yet he never has a kind word for her, not even in front of her 'son.'
DISCLAIMER: I could have been concise, but as I was writing all this, I came to a lot of realizations, so apologies in advance.
It's a very passive hatred and I think it's because he's uber-closeted at a level that's breathtaking. Wholly, it's a coping mechanism of and against queerness and misogyny the way with him for that. He's a bag of self contradictories and doesn't have much regard for his own life out of a deep sense of failure to perform an ideal he layers on top of his extant political function as one of the Targs' protectors. I often think about that one poem where the speaker's like "I am not in love with you, I am in love with being in love" when I try to think about Jon Con.
Like Cersei, he eventually pedestalizes Rhaegar and even more so after his death. He's made him into a paragon of male virtue and human appeal so he could continue to feel his desires are not abnormal. While Cersei does it because it was like she was as close to the sort of power masculinized in that world and denied to woman (which is just as a "visceral" thing, to have agency), Jon Con does it to affirm his own "lacking" masculinity. He is not totally comfortable with his own sexuality nor the yearning since he still has to go out into the world and "be a man". Through Rhaegar he definitely can at least privately express/validate that yearning and feel like a man but also close to "men" without having to really address it consciously or exposing it. By not really confronting the layers of himself "all the way" or as much as he could, he re-relies on that patriarchal definition and field of "manliness". It's close to having one's cake and eating it, too. A compulsion that replaces real connection; but it he kinda transformed himself into an all feeling automaton in the process in order to fulfill the compulsion to "sacrifice" his life to something like a higher purpose. And Elia was not a person-person but a means to further Rhaegar.
A)
This is a society where:
there is an emphasis on obedience, maintaining the social hierarchy, and obligation to one's "lord" or the gods, and yes the Faith of the Seven (the fictional Catholicism) informs the model of masculinity in Westeros, esp through the Andal chivalry and courtliness; the express/prove/practice the "greatest" form of love to either a lover or the gods or one's lord is to completely sublimate oneself to the gods'/lord's rule and wellbeing...which kinda came on conflict with the whole warrior-takes-all thing until the emphasis on fighting for a specific lord but it's self contradictory in its rigidity
men who may love to read without also swinging swords/being good at that and aren't maesters/are not studying to be one are close to "unmanning" themselves. Let's sit with that. Maleness is proving to other men you have "strength" and having control over as many bodies as one can...doesn't really lend into exploring oneself or seeing things to appreciate in others or nature, and aristocratic maleness (the primary-only ones allowed to use warfare to acquire resources) is the ideal/only "human" that exists or matters. A man's very health is treated one and the same as his "manliness", sometimes literally (some research reveals that having a mistress showed a ruler's very virality and prostitutes were "necessary" for men to relieve their pressing "urges" without becoming violent and disrupting the "order"--[at least]15th to 19th centuries). This sort of context breeds very emotionally stunted men who can really/mostly only objectify people and compartmentalize others and their own emotions. It breeds a certain inflexibility in men that close down their means of really being aware of their own actions' consequences or caring beyond THE GOAL. You also must dehumanize women.
Every person in this society who does not or can't conform to the conscripts placed on them according has had to develop ways to both perform their social "duties" while coming to terms with the limits of said duties on how they can express themselves, find intimacy, access resources or amenities, accrue social respect, etc. For men, that is military achievements and violence to show you can get material objects and/or protect your lord's best interests. One thing about Jon is that he's always been hungry for "glory" like many other men and boys, to make his "name" mean something and gain that sort of "love". Problem with this sort of masculinity is that it cyclically generates an insecurity in men & boys and compels them to disregard most other types of male affection other than those which "coincidentally" serve the higher lord.
GRRM informed us that Jon was gay not-so subtly. Unlike Laenor or Renly or Loras or the Daeron prince Olenna avoided marrying, Jon hasn't had a real lover (someone he shared a life with) to even help to alleviate this compelled loneliness that goes beyond having a lover. And I don't mean people he's slept with, I mean a man invested in his well being, always having his back and prioritizing him the way very close companions or partners do. This maybe Jon's most safe way of experiencing lover's love and "love" himself.
B)
So another thing about him coming from this phenomenon is he seems to want to have real male companions & "love" them in other ways than just romantically. But even male platonic affection is pretty restrictive as much as we have Ned and Robert's friendship...which we see in the first book is unsteady and false with every realization that Ned has about Robert.
Making up for that kind of stunted platonic love, the sensual (diff from sexual) affection he has for men & Rhaegar works to maintain that sense of intimacy he craves. Once when Rhaegar visited his family's lands, Jon says Rhaegar's music/voice moved women to cry, and they seemed to connect to something he is aware of in himself (again, other than his sexual attraction to men), but the men around Rhaegar do not or won't and thus cannot even fathom or detect. A certain "appreciation" for beauty in life or the capacity to observe such, which is a sensual experience in of itself. That would be a wonder to see in a man; the beauty is and has to be under a guise of male domination. Loras and Renly, that Daeron prince and his lover, and Laenor x Joffrely/Qarl still must live in secret, as open as it was, but theirs was a different sort of "hiding" bc they don't hide themselves from themselves to the extent that Jon does. I think that it is very likely that present-day! nor past!Jon may not grab that chance of love and companionship because the covertness of the love like Renly/Laenor/Daeron can no longer compare to the imagined satisfaction or fulfillment of his obligation to Rhaegar OR/AND it would mean he'd have to re-adjust some ideas of masculinity he doesn't want to re-adjust, and like I mentioned I think this guy feels the need to just hold on to every scrap of conventional masculinity to feel normal.
The men like his father certainly cannot care about such a visceral thing that exists in these people that makes them feel connected to something more then themselves but also exactly like themselves; his dad was way more eager to talk about lands with Rhaegar and acquiring them to care. So perhaps Jon also saw in Rhaegar's known melancholy disposition who didn't quite fit Andal-Faith patriarchal conventions a fellow outsider. The single-mindedness I mentioned could come from his own unwillingness to really let Rhaegar be a normal guy.
He def always tried to put his yearning to use into a source of the single-minded devotion to his political function to Rhaegar and his family as a protector. Rhaegar was good with the sword, but the symbol we readers and the world then see him through his songs and his harp; Rhaegar is a figure of poetry and emotion that is socially divorced or posed counter to warfare, and he like Dany or Lyanna moves between the gender binaries of this world. Rhaegar became the lynchpin to Jon's own understanding of what a "man" is through Rhaegar being a sort of portal to this "thing" that really many humans across identities feel, this sensual love for life and anything that could psychologically move you (you can't really "escape" music and thus music has always been a very "easy" spiritual device to transmit emotion).
Even before Rhaegar's death, I think he felt very indebted to and psychologically dependent on Rhaegar's wellbeing, which he conflated with political "success" through a legacy now that the actual man is dead. Rhaegar has to mean something so his own dedication might be "real". Rhaegar's death and then his failure to even perform this "simple" duty towards Rhaegar only inflated this devotion to this sort of devotion.
Rhaegar's family (Elia and the kids) is only as valuable as what they do for Rhaegar-the-heir, Rhaegar-the-man.
C)
Jon does express that Elia's death was horrible (A Dance with Dragons - "The Lost Lord"):
Tumblr media
but it's less about Elia's suffering and how her suffering is part of the larger loss he and many people saw that the Targs and esp Rhaegar had. Elia is not really much of a person so much as a vessel or device AND a part of a whole.
She also got to be with Rhaegar and experience many more aspects of inaccessible intimacy he feels he can never have. Be sexually and emotionally (even if not exactly romantic) intimate with him in all the ways Jon Con never could. AND IN "PUBLIC" in ways he could never even if Rhaegar ever returned his feelings.
And after all that, she can't do the one thing that she/women in general in this society are socially "obligated" to do (A Dance with Dragons - "Griffin Reborn"):
Tumblr media
I think that part of how he dealt/deals with his unrequited AND unfulfilled (read: "impossible") affections for Rhaegar--AND/OR men/human love in general--is that this and most marriages have the function that would benefit Rhaegar in getting him heirs, and Jon himself can "benefit" or be useful to Rhaegar as his and his father's Hand or protector. An expression of that affection-devotion, a tweaking of the lady and her courtly knight/lover from courtly and chivalric romance, but gay, or really queer. Because his secret yearning runs parallel to his sexuality and his sexuality fuels that sensual. yearning, it's queer as all hell. But he's so baked into the masculinity train, he also still carries the sexism.
If Elia, who's allowed to receive Rhaegar in those desired forms, can't even do "this one thing right", it's like a slap in Jon's face at times because that small nest, this group of people bounded by "duty" and practicing affections (Elia, Rhaegar, all of Rhaegar's closest friends, himself, Rhaegar's children) that he convinced himself to adopt as his existential purpose, is created for the man he idolized, or centered around him. As what this system designs that to be, as when if you need anything done you need heirs, connections, etc.
We also know Rhaegar had some sort of private goal, and every companion he had may not have told them expressly what it was but each more than likely wanted to anything they could to help him nonetheless perform it, which entails self sacrifice.

hear me out. regency AU. Roy Kent is a Lord and refuses to get married because he doesn’t like how it’s to ensure status and all of that shit.
Enter you. You’re a woman who’s been pushing back her debut to society for years and your parents have finally had enough of it.
Think of it kinda like Mr Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet. The quick remarks, the banter. Roy is emotionally stunted. You also hate the idea of marrying to achieve a higher position in society. But dammit, you can’t help falling in love with the grumpy man, Lord Roy Kent.

I love your characterization, and it made me wonder
How would you characterize the Shepards as socs? I’ve thought about it myself but I figured I was interested in what you had to say lol
Oh, this is a fun question, thanks anon!
This might be controversial, but I think the Shepards as socs would be a lot more...mellow? ig compared to their greaser selves, and let me explain why. A huge part of how I see and write the Shepards is shaped by their circumstances. Tim had to step up to raise his siblings because no one else would. He had to turn to dealing and illegal activities because how else could he survive? how could he feed himself or his siblings when his mother spends her money on booze and his dad is no longer around? Tim's desperation to take care if his siblings, his determination to not only survive but thrive even in the shit circumstances he's been born into are what make him who he is. Curly and Angela are so close because emotionally, they're all each other has, growing up with abusive/absent parents, and Tim who had to focus on providing physical needs before emotional ones. Angela became so jaded and cold to protect a heart that hungered for love and was only fed scraps, Curly becomes so egotistical because there was no one growing up who ever told him he was good enough. He pulls dumb stunts because it's the only way to get a shred of attention. He's hungry for affection that simply doesn't exist in the world he was born into.
The soc version of them just...wouldn't be the same in my eyes. Even if their dad was still abusive or absent, even if their mom still had addiction issues, the money socs have could hire a nanny. Tim wouldn't be parentified to the degree he was, he'd have an oportunity to grow an identity beyond surviving and raising his siblings. He'd probably still be proud, still have strong leadership qualities, still excel at whatever he does- but they key drive of him as a greaser wouldn't translate, so I think he'd be a calmer version of himself. Soc Tim would have the opportunity to be selfish, which is a luxury greaser Tim never has. To me, Soc Angela would still be temperamental and headstrong, but her coping mechanisms would likely be different. I could see her filling emotional wounds with material items, and becoming the stereotypical high school 'mean girl' but again, taking away the need to survive in tough circumstances would take away the need for being closed off and cold. I think she'd be softer in some ways, more open to love, but also I think social power and prestige would go to her head and she'd lord that power over others. Finally, I think soc Curly wouldn't be calmer, but his recklessness and stunts would be dismissed due to socs being viewed as 'refined' compared to greasers. If Curly had the option of covering stuff up or buying his way out of trouble, he'd use it to his full advantage, but not being branded as a 'hood' and a 'troublemaker' would change his future, if that makes sense. Honestly, he'd probably end up a lot like Bob: never knowing when to quit, never being curbed or learning consequences, and that would probably be his downfall.
Anyway, this got longer than I meant it to, but yeah, you can take the Shepards out of the east side, but you can't take the east side out of the Shepards without fundamentally changing them as people (at least in my opinion).
Thanks again for the ask xx

Dratchrod headcanons?
Sfw/nsfw
-🧸
Tumblr media
oh lord, i don’t really have many set headcanons. they usually float around and form bundles to fit the scenario i’m thinking about at that very moment… dratchrod is more of a vibe to me.
hmmm
first and foremost, i think that Drift, Ratchet and Rodimus are a little bit of a mess. I do imagine that both Drift and Ratchet had slept with Rodimus at least a couple times before they got together, and then Rodimus was added to their relationship later. He definitely tries to keep his distance at first, not wanting to appear presumptuous and trying to act like he's okay with just beng their fuck-buddy. When things start getting romantic, he freaks out a little, but after a while, through trial and error, they all get comfortable with each other...
I don't think they're all too sappy with each other. I think their love-language is bickering and vile insults, but when needed, they can definitely comfort each other. Drift is both the most emotionally aware and most emotionally stunted of them. He can tell when either Ratchet or Rodimus are having problems and need a pep-talk, but he'll never let them know when he needs some kind words and kisses… Thankfully, Ratchet and Rodimus know him well enough to get through to him, despite his deflections.
On a lighter note, I think Rodimus is the designated pillow. His frame is very warm, and Drift and Ratchet love to smother him in bed and use him as a heater to keep warm at night. Rodimus has long since accepted that he'll spend the rest of his life cuddled by two hot milfs every single night. Honestly, he can't complain.
As for nsfw hc's… Obviously I think Ratchet is the one most experienced in bed, with Rodimus trying to claim that title for himself, and proven wrong by getting the life fucked out of him by Drift and Ratchet. Drift is more tame because he's worried about hurting Ratchet, but he's a little more loose with Rodimus, willing to take the lead. I think they both love ruining that twink.
And I think Ratchet's their pillow princess sometimes, especially when it's been a long day and he just wants to lie down, rest his back, and be pampered by his two speedsters <3

Alicia from Level 99 Villainess is a tragic figure, at least in the novel versions.
She is supposed to be the protagonist, the wielder of light magic who will defeat the Demon Lord and save the country. She starts off weak, but she should grow over the course of the story, both in terms of power and emotionally to face the challenge at the end.
This is all thrown off by Yumiella appearing at the start of her story.
Yumiella is potentially the most powerful person in the world, and could probably solo the Demon Lord from the beginning. She also looks like a cloud of darkness with glowing eyes to Alicia.
Yumiella also shows up Alicia's harem, giving them inferiority complexes that keep them emotionally stunted and cause them to over-focus on protecting Alicia, which stunts her magical and emotional growth. She doesn't need to learn to stand for herself if she has three strong guys doing it for her. And they don't need to confront their feelings of inferiority if they have sweet, weak Alicia to protect and make them feel strong. Meanwhile Yumiella is still stronger than all of them, a steady reminder of all their inadequacies.
Yumiella tries to help, but her own lack of social skills and empathy lead her to traumatizing Alicia further in her attempt to level grind her. Now Yumiella doesn't only look monstrous, she has also forced Alicia into a dangerous situation and would not let her leave.
So when it's time for the final battle, time to fight the demon lord, Alicia finally takes some agency and attempts to slay the demon who has been tormenting her.
I've been thinking lately about how to make a character who lacks agency interesting, and I think it's by giving a lot of impact to the choices they do make.
